The environmental problem is a major issue which brings into play the worrying situation of the planet. In France, we talk about sustainable development (développement durable) while in Latin American countries, this concept retains the name of sostenible. This concept, in reference to the satisfaction of the needs and the quality of a decent life for the populations of certainsensitive territories, contributes to local development. This thesis, based on a cooperative action research approach, carried out in Colombia, has two objectives. On the one hand, it is about contributing to the reflection on policies of environmental education and integral human formation. On the other hand, the research wants to help the transformation of practices and projects, including the participation of educational communities. Within the framework of a class project, a joint training project on the recovery of plant knowledge was carried out. This thesis presents elements of analyses and practices on the accompaniment of a visible educational project in the school establishment Gimnasio del Campo Juan de la Cruz Varela in the Zone of High Sumapaz

The point is to identify the existing correlation between the characteristic parameters of these models and the evolution of the practices and representations of writing among pupils. Our research was carried on five groups of third-year pupils in cycle III. Various data have been analyzed : class observations, audio recordings of activities with the whole group or with smaller groups, written questionnaires filled by the pupils to collect their representations of writing and of group-work, pupils' texts and semi-conducted interviews led with the collaboration of the teachers. The results of this study display that the evolution of practices ans representations of writing is conditioned by the presence of some parameters or by the combination of several parameters that are typical of the pedagogical models

A pesquisa confirmou a hipótese inicial e a formulação conceitual provisória apresentada.
The qualitative research aims to demonstrate a way to constitute networks of collective learning for cultural development, contributing to the sustainability of pedagogical artistic projects of performing arts. The hypothesis is: the implementation of collaborative practices, provisionally and concisely defined as dialogical, based on presence and affection, in which participation feeds back the network and participants, encourages the co-involvement with the cultural development process. The approach is mit-disciplinary and multi-referential, with contributions from the field of art, especially from Bishop, Kester, Collados and Rodrigo, and education, with Freire, Maturana and Rancière. This is in accordance with Yin, a single longitudinal case study of pedagogical artistic approaches in Cultural Mediation project: Training Program in Performing arts, editions 2013 and 2014, in Salvador and the Metropolitan Area. Collaborative practices implemented in the project were evaluated. It was found that in 2013 the emphasis was the fulfillment of pre-established actions by the project team. In 2014, the pedagogical accompaniments inspired by Freire and Pacheco as circles of participatory and coresponsible formation constituted an environment for collaborative practices. Following Kwon’s typology, o Núcleo de Educadores do Subúrbio Ferroviário de Salvador constituted an invented community ongoing. The sustainable learning network is evidenced in: the attitude of educators to map contexts and opportunities in the territory; the establishment of partnerships to strengthen their cultural productions; the reinvention of social relations in core, integrating students and relatives in "Mediation Family"; the self-management of the core. The survey confirmed the initial hypothesis and the provisional conceptual formulation presented.

This thesis, rooted in urban anthropology and urban practices, focuses particularly on the process democratic participation in urban development projects. Indeed, urban development leads to significant consequences throughout the city's territory, causing tensions and repercussions both on the environment and on local social dynamics. The public school, as an architectural element and public facility dedicated to cultural education and the transmission of scientifically validated knowledge, is inevitably affected by these projects, themselves influenced by contemporary urban planning norms. My professional and personal experiences, rooted in the school context, enabled me to engage in urban renewal projects from 2010 to 2015. I conducted an ethnographic investigation into specific participation scenarios in the neighborhoods of Armação in Florianópolis, Brazil, and Carnot-Parmentier in Saint-Fons, in the metropolis of Lyon, and carried out an analysis of territorial development projects. In a reflexive approach and within a research-action perspective, I engaged in pedagogical initiatives that, through a multi-situated comparative study, enabled me to follow different actors in urban policy, residents, school professionals, and students. I analyzed institutional dynamics as well as the processes experienced by social actors involved in urban changes, while examining my own trajectory and commitment. Despite the emergence of democratic participation in our societies, I have observed that in the studied projects, this practice remains marginal. I have observed that this practice remains marginal in our societies, and that experiences lived, perceived, and conceived influenced by memory, by politico-administrative processes, as well as by sciences are scarcely considered in this participatory process. Participatory school experiences observed on the ground have been perceived as relational emancipatory practices, both individual and collective. Schools, influenced by epistemological and methodological elements, can become crucial local actors in the transgenerational construction of responses to challenges related to gentrification, the environment, development, as well as culture and urban social policies. However, educational and territorial public policies, influenced by political-administrative and scientific processes, appear to be very poorly connected. In this sense, considering the systemic aspect of participatory experience is of increasing importance for the sustainable development of cities and the promotion of the integral fulfillment of citizens

The XO laptop, designed by the One Laptop per Child Foundation, was chosen to be the primary device for students and teachers. To ensure the project’s success, a team from the MINEDUB, composed by educational policy makers, has been assigned to act as trainers and guides. Starting with the assumption that during these training sessions they were to share how they intend to use the XO laptop, this paper presents a discourse analysis of these educational policymakers. From the interaction patterns and themes that emerged from the discourses, we are able to sketch innovative educational situations where children are encouraged to produce artifacts, where teachers become guides and where local problems serve as starting points for learning. Keywords : XO laptop, educational policymakers, discourse, educational situation, interaction patterns.

This aspect of responsabilization exists neither in dogmatic or alternative teaching theories but on the other hand transactional analysis pave the way to contractual teaching methods in which each individual can develop one's powers and abilities and may succeed. The educative action projects E A P offer a different way of considering the act of teaching. The ones with restricted responsibility do not alter the school system at all, but the ones with enlarged responsibility dealing mostly with the educative field generate clashes and crises. The pedagogic side is damaged by the educative one. In that case a contract must be negotiated and therefore we come to the pedagogical project with is the starting point of the school project itself

The achievement of a new project management education simulation program concerning a underground water cleaning-up case study, allowed us to perform simulation sessions for eight teams of students. Considering simulation results, the validation of credibility and functionality criteria concerning this new simulator Amise, indicates that the students have generated relevant cleaning-up scenarios consistent with the real case study. The simulation program can then be considered as a relevant tool to study the behaviour of its components in a project management context, especially the simplified ground water model. To verify that a ground water model is appropriate to the project needs, we introduce two evaluation criteria : the modelling quality and the input knowledge. The input knowledge is considered as a precision and quantity indicator of the model input data. For each simplified ground water model achieved by the students during simulation sessions, these criteria are quantified through an analytical hierarchy process. Using these values, we represent, on a graph, the evolution of the modelling quality of the underground model used in the simulation program according to the knowledge input in the model by the students. On this graph, we can define three areas characteristic of the impact that can have the input knowledge on the modelling quality. Considering the insufficient number of available simulation sessions results, we can not yet confrrm the validity of this graph. However, this study allows to verify the coherence of this approach as a method to analyse a model using a project management education simulation program

The City of Jobs organizes a series of learning situations related to educational and vocational guidance for students of the establishment of Cadenazzo-Vira Gambarogno, a popular middle school in the Italian part of Switzerland. Throughout the four years of middle school, unique, as in France, pupils are invited to confront with personalities from the world of work, to visit companies and professional schools, to carry out a brief research in the computer room, to watch a feature film andto participate in a symposium on the evolution of work, or, to take an optional course in initiation into lexicon and economic language.Research studies this pedagogical project as a focal point, that is a center towards which converge a set of complex social processes, related to the building dynamics of the unique middle school. Carrying an effective social diversity, this one can merely be thought of in close relation with a changing world of work, in search of new balances. This work comes from a decennial social action, between 2003/2004 and 2013/2014, which became an ethnographic research carried out by one of theanimators, around thirty semi-structured interviews, fully transcribed and translated into French, with middle school professionals, pupils’ parents, invited personalities and students who animated the project. These data are supplemented by others, especially from available archival documents, assessment reports made by students after visits and articles published in a cultural weekly magazine, allowing the analysis of an experience through the construction of a case study. The first part of this study focuses on the relationship between collaboration and conflictuality in the elaboration process of the City of Jobs. A strategic analysis of the active minority highlights a structure of power relations centered around a triangular game between social actors, leading to a continuous oscillation between a dynamic of autonomous innovation, of heterogeneous innovation and reflexive slowdown. The second part analyzes the role of educational engineering in the efficiency of its daily progress. A desirability analysis of the implemented learning situations shows a differentiated responsible participation of students in learning, favouring the succession of the vocational sequence and the construction of a transitional competence, able to guide the transitions of life of these individualities under construction. The third part, finally, examines the repercussionson the identity form of the students. A structural analysis of the life stories of the most engaged students sketches an identity transformation which shows the appearance of a spirit of performance, with individualized variations, which reinforces the control of life transitions. This plural approach brings out the contours of a breach towards the realization of a truly unique middle school, because equitable, result of a fragile balance constantly renewed between freedom and equality, first of all at the level of the hidden curriculum. What makes awakened individuality arise, potential fruit of the emerging ideal-type of the democratic teacher. Simultaneously, these contours reveal the limits of this process of internal rejuvenation of the republican school, namely theweakness of the elaboration of a vision of the social world of the teaching staff, vector of this dynamic, and the unavoidable extension of the equity of the school universe to the world of work, within the framework of the emergence of an open society

This thesis is an attempt to shed light on the stakes revealed by the introduction of a specific innovative teaching method, which has played a key role in the evolution of the teaching practices in French technical schools (vocational education in secondary schools). Since the 2000 school year, within the framework of the reform specific to the Integrated Vocational Educational programme, multi-disciplinary projects based upon professional objectives have been introduced as a nationwide practice in vocational education. It seems to be obvious that this research work goes beyond the simple study of these projects and deal with further questioning. Thus, the objective of the present work is to mobilise an approach in terms of knowledge-based relation within the study of the transformations specific to educational system by considering a particular public, that of teachers. More precisely this thesis will examine to which extent the teachers’ knowledge-based relation is a crucial element into the implementation of a particular reform aimed at transforming educational programmes in technical schools. The theoretical and disciplinary framework of this thesis is mainly based on that of the Sociology of Education, but it will naturally use some elements from that of the Sociology as well as that of the Sciences of Education

Discovering competition within the education market, open university departments acquired the knowledge and know now which enabled them to become a real interface between universities and firms. This enabled them to transform mentalities within trainees groups and to build up specific projects. Open university departments can act as middle grounds between university curricula and employment. The objectives in terms of knowledge and know become part and parcel of the build up of a personality. This outlook falls within a sociological approach which may help to determine the strong and weak points of a pedagogical approach, likely to prove efficient in extra mural studies

This research focuses on the experimentation of a device related to a project-based learning through the mediation of artistic practices of speech. It took place in the French Department at the University of Aleppo, Syria, in order to improve the communicative skills and expression of the subjectivity of the participants. This experiment was conducted in a context which was not only marked by war but also characterized by a less active teaching-learning, that is to say transmissive despite the many educational reforms that have succeeded one another. The analysis of the results of the field surveys confirmed the need to start a project that could meet the needs which were collected and identified by us and expressed by the students. Several questions arose during our research : Was such an approach, in a context of war, feasible? Would this artistic approach allow students to develop oral skills and increase their socio-cultural knowledge of the target culture? Would it finally succeed in motivating students exhausted by the war? If it is worth mentioning that we have carried out four projects in the field, one has been studied in depth, namely « French and Francophonie song in FLE class ». This project involved the realization of various tasks among which the construction of various knowledge in FLE with an active and dynamic approach. It consisted in presenting a singing show in French and producing a project booklet, « singing to travel » to socialize in front of an external public. The results of this experiment show how significant progress was in terms of knowledge, know-how, learning process and social skills of the students. However, it should be noted that the integration of this device a context of war has encountered certain limits and obstacles of material, temporal, educational, technical, security and socio-cultural nature

The starting point of this research is our participation in the evaluation of the Project and Sup' Sciences workshops to make sensitive the pupils of the secondary education in the sciences. This research financed by the « Fond d'expérimentation à la Jeunesse » (FEJ) and in partnership with « la direction de l'enseignement supérieur et de la recherche » (DESR), allowed us at the same time to have access to a complete ground of investigation and to think of the constraints of a financed research. This work bases then, on one hand on a vision of social established on the processes implemented in this type of educational device and on the other hand on the analysis of the situations peculiar to this experiment. To do it, it was question to articulate several levels of analyses from a questionnaire intended for the pupils, followed over three years, on the transformations of their representations of the scientific science and the businesses and on their relationship in the knowledges, in the class and in the school institution. Then, the analyses of interviews with the various actors of the educational community completed this evaluation; they gave information onto the processes operated in the elaboration and the realization of the project. Finally, the observations in situ in scientific workshops brought to light the educational activities and the situation of teaching, connected to the experiment

Nowadays Danilo Dolci’s political and pedagogical work seems consigned to oblivion. Although his political initiatives, his passion for the problems of education, his books and articles have spread his fame around the world, leading him to obtain national and international rewards, although his ideas and engagement have contributed to build especially innovative collective processes during the First Italian Republic – that is, the period between 1948 and 1991 – his work remains not well known yet. However, since his youth, Dolci devoted himself to basic education, aiming at mobilising and emancipating the poorest classes in one of the most underdeveloped Italian regions: Sicily. But he also dealt with many issues outside Sicily, in Italy and abroad, operating in various contexts, which makes sometimes difficult to reconstruct the coherence of his trajectory and contributions. In our opinion, Dolci’s work is structured according to a number of convictions: the progress of the society depends on some specific material and immaterial factors that, in certain areas, don’t develop because other factors take place in the opposite direction. Therefore in these areas it is necessary to develop the essential factors for progress with methods that differ from those applied in the areas where the progress prevailed historically. When I talk of “progress” I basically mean a material and immaterial development toward a genuine democracy, a process whose principles, values, rules and procedures could be chosen by the biggest number of persons, and could be enacted and respected by both the citizens and the administrators. So Dolci seems exactly proposing a specific practice to enhance the already existing democratic practices and, at the same time, to mobilise the less politicised population groups and let them repossess those practices, joining the level of those who use them regularly and fighting those who don’t respect them. Dolci calls this practise “reciprocal or group maieutics”. I have tried to understand how he came to conceive of such a method – which makes him a real “pedagogue” – and how it can foster the emergence, the building and the development of democratic practices. This is the reason why I drew a “conceptual map” of his thought, first on a diachronic level and secondly on a synchronic level, which led me to outline a general presentation of the relationship between education and politics in Dolci

Finally in the last part, is proposed a perspective of the clinical analyses of the speeches. Repercussions in this work are envisaged in terms of a clinical accompaniment of teams of teachers of literature, by suggesting directing the work on the specificity of a relationship to the groupal knowledge

In fact, those external tensions are the consequence of the inadequacy between the youth culture values and the reality of the adult world the teenagers will have to face in a future which can be either close or long. Two worlds then are going to confront each other, the one of the adults represented mainly by the parents and the one of the adolescents. G. Mead shows that the identity to be validated must be recognized by the other people such as the parents. The parents may validate or not this teenager's identity according to the ideal they have planned for their child. In order to have a better understanding of the interaction rites between parents and teenagers we will use the works made by E. Goffman. The chosen interaction is about the negotiation of the Christmas gift for as it is defined, this present highlights the link between the donor and the person who receives. Thus, it allows everybody to reveal his link towards the different members of the family. The inquiry has enabled to underline the strategies developed by the teenagers and their parents. These strategies give the opportunity to the parents to assert their pedagogical project and give the opportunity to the teenagers to assert their identity. The study of the negotiation step has allowed us to describe the interactions between parents and teenagers but also to define the stakes these interactions represent for the various protagonists both for the personal and family identity construction

Within the framework of this doctoral thesis which studies mini-company devices, we are interested in the process of building self-efficacy of students and teachers (Bandura, 2007). It is particularly important to put in perspective the use of a project-based learning (Perrenoud, 2002; Proulx, 2004; Boutinet, 2012) that we observed in these devices, and the construction of an entrepreneurial self-efficacy for students (and particularly the link between entrepreneurship spirit and self-efficacy). Furthermore, we tested the hypothesis that the acquisition of entrepreneurship spirit skills would impact their self-efficacy. In general, in this research work, we have considered the rather strongly shared distinction by researchers of a distinction between “generic and personal skills” (the entrepreneurial spirit) and “specific skills” (Entrepreneurship) (Léger-Jarniou, 2008 ; Surlemont et Kearney, 2009 ; Champy-Remoussenard, 2012 ; Pepin, 2011 ; Frétigné, 2017 ; Champy-Remoussenard et Starck, 2018). About teachers, we were interested in the construction of their self-efficacy, considering the particularities of their pedagogical approach with students (the use of this project-based learning, development of skills related to their experience in entrepreneurship education). We also questioned the extent to which teachers have developed a teacher self-efficacy (Bandura, 2007) which would be a consequence of their involvement in the mini-company devices. In methodological terms, our doctoral research was based on two ground surveys conducted in the educational districts of Lille and Guadeloupe. These ground surveys have made it possible to collect data which correspond mainly to semi-directive interviews realized with pupils and teachers in these two educational districts, and an online survey administered only to teachers of the educational district of Lille

ABSTRACT :This research particularly focuses on the impact that the instruction through Xo lays on the effectiveness of pedagogic supervision in schools of the PAQUEB project in Cameroon. The implementation of the said instruction through Xo has been observed using three main variables namely: the administrative organization, structural and active organization of the overall pedagogic supervision process. More specifically, its impact on the effectiveness of structures and operators of the pedagogic supervision chain in terms of preservation/improvement/ deterioration of its effectiveness (ASPID model) of pedagogic integration of technologies in the educational context. (Karsenti, 2014, Vol 92). In order to comply with the falsification of those variables stated by Karl Popper, our data were collected on two sub-samples of schools. The first was made up of schools of the PAQUEB project which have integrated Xo and the effective use of the latter in their pedagogic practices on a daily basis. The second is based on schools out of the PAQUEB project. We consider that pedagogic supervision is a key activity for the improvement in general, or just for the preservation of the teaching quality and school results as well. Whereas the technologic innovations which impose extra appropriate efforts to education operators are also affordance holder and, a risk of determination of pedagogic supervision effectiveness is not always mastered. Therefore, what could be the impacts that the appropriation of techno pedagogic innovations have (the case of Xo) on the effectiveness of pedagogic supervision to school results in order to guarantee the teaching aim?Our Methodology : We set out to understand the sense that pedagogic supervision operators give to their lived experiences concerning the techno pedagogic innovation (Strauss and Corbin, 1990; Savoie-Zajc, 2000). In that respect, we had had recourse to many types of data information and documents collected from operators of pilot schools of the project. To do this, our effectiveness appreciation grid was designed from the exploitation of the various sources. Thanks to that grid, our supervised classroom observation as well as out of classroom situations which involved all the operators. We focused our observations on behaviors and attitudes regarding our indicators or supervision signs. Some results:-The administrative organization in the instruction through Xo has seriously crippled the pedagogic supervision’s efficiency(training and retraining of teachers, posting of teaching staff of PAQUEB, teachers and Head-teachers as well) without them being replaced by teachers trained to the use of Xo, no specific motivational provisions for teachers of the PAQUEB project, facts that confirmed our hypothesis H1-The structural and infrastructural organization of instruction through Xo has had an impact on pedagogic supervision’s efficiency; hence the confirmation of our 2nd hypothesis H2.-Operators’ organization in the instruction through Xo has an impact on the pedagogic supervision’s efficiency. The functional hierarchy (top-down) structure in assistance relations between operators has been broken. Hence the confirmation of hypothesis H3.To sum up, we have reached the overall conclusion that, instruction through Xo has significant had an impact on the pedagogic supervision’s effectiveness in the PAQUEB schools, hence a total validation of our main hypothesis

The identity disruption which occurs in the teenage years represents an inescapable stage in the development process of an individual. According to Erik H. Erikson's words, it is a "necessary turning point" even a "crisis". And yet, in that transformation period, adolescents with a handicap are particularly sensitive to often negative social representations and to stigmatising processes in Erving Goffman's sense of the word which may give way to "negative identity" phenomena or self-depreciation. The implementation of a life plan, including dealing with professional prospects, is suggested as a means to build up a personal identity. This thesis examines the content and conditions of it. In a definite temporality and a supportive environment, building a life plan both means building up one's identity, giving one's life a meaning and being able to make the most of it

To remain competitive and to deal with the complexities of developing complex systems, it is necessary to have skilled and experienced system engineers on the labor market. As a result, system engineers, teachers and researchers must put in place strategies and didactic methodologies to prepare future systems engineers. The idea is to ensure engineering students with depth preparation for system engineering (SE) and a quasiprofessional expertise based on practical experiences. This thesis meets the need for student evaluation, to verify their knowledge of the processes of developing a complex system throughout its lifecycle. We are particularly interested in the problem of evaluating the knowledge acquired by learners during the active learning of the SE in a collaborative Elearning environment based on the knowledge acquisition approach. For this, we have developed and implemented our research as part of an E-learning project approach. This is a pedagogical approach that facilitates online learning of SE based on projects. We decided to pilot our E-learning environment with projects initiated from standard SE processes. We also conducted a formalization of these standardized processes by integrating SE competencies models to support the professional development of a system. During the learning phase, different students collaborate remotely. This sharing of information is generally based on formal or informal exchanges. The interest of the acquisition of this knowledge, resulting from written reports, feedback and rectified errors, is to help study and evaluate the experiences and activities of students to promote active learning and collaboration of the SE. Our proposal is a solution for the evaluation of acquired knowledge based on semantic tools. The solution is addressed to students and teachers of the platform. On the one side, it allows the monitoring and evaluation of students in an intelligent way. On the other side, it allows to support the teacher during the definition of his project. First, we present a mixed assessment method that combines reasoning from cases and process-mining to provide visual representations that help the teacher in his assessment process as well as the definition of his learning scenario. We use social network analysis techniques to study learner interactions. Then, we propose a semantic annotation process of student works. The purpose of this process is to guide the teacher in his assessment process. Furthermore, we introduce the concept of peer review in order to promote the reflexivity and self-confidence of learner. Finally, the different contributions are illustrated by a case study. Based on this case study, we show that the research hypotheses are valid

This thesis surveys the current practices and advancements in SE education. We ended up proposing a novel solution for SE education (an approach with its supporting web-based platform). The proposed approach is based on the recommendations of academic and industrial communities. It is centered around the use of SE standardized processes and at the same time very adaptive, with learning scenarios that can be driven by the acquired or to-be-taught SE competencies. The proposed solution is a web based platform that has been developed to support this novel approach within a distant Project Based Learning (PBL) environment. The solution aims to ease the learning at the same time of fundamental principles and processes of systems engineering, along with communication, team management, collaboration, and related soft skills. On the other hand, educators will be able to better manage their learning scenarios, training resources, and the expected outcomes. Last, educators and students' organizations using this solution will be able to manage and normalize the competencies to be acquired by their future systems engineers at every level

Our work is a contribution to the research activity on the Software Environments for the Human Learning. Ln this general context we are interested particularly on the software environments of support to the design and the evaluation of online courses. Our assumption is that an environment that integrates tools for the design and the management of courses helps the teachers (or creators of learning course) on the one band, to reflect more on their practices of teaching and, on the other band, to adapt their methods in a context of remote formation. Ln the first part of our work, we conceived a method of support to the design and the evaluation of interactive courses. Then, in order to help the teachers not having competences in web development to conceive and to develop their online course, we created an authoring web environment, named netUniversité, composed mainly of three parts: a generator of course structures, a course editor and a component used to administrate the courses and the participants registered with these courses. The system uses the IMS Learning Design standard to represent the pedagogical flow of the courses. After a first validation, the results obtained are rather promising, because aIl the teachers appreciated the utilisation of netUniversité, considering that it is easily accessible even for those inexperienced or reserved in using this type of tools

This work at the intersection of three fields of study—language sciences, discourse analysis, and training course design—interrogates the notion of the Francophone project in its institutional context at the beginning of this century. Is it possible to unite around a collective project the sizeable political community belonging to the International Francophone Organization (l’Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie—the OIF)? To answer this question, this thesis analyzes speeches given by heads of state and government during the international summit meetings of the OIF. More specifically the thesis focuses on the speeches made at the summits hosted in Bucharest (2006) and Quebec (2008), a pivotal moment in which the OIF has the necessary legitimacy to initiate a new Francophone dynamic. The work proceeds in three distinct phases. First, it attempts to articulate the notions of “Francophonie”, discourse, and project by placing them in the conceptual fields outlined in the relevant literature. Second, the thesis identifies four axes, sources of legitimacy that allow the specification of the Francophone project. The notions of governance, citizenship, the employment of new technologies, and the affirmation of a project of living together allow for the definition of an expected horizon contributing to the characterization of the Francophone dynamic. Finally, in the third phase, the work attempts to analyze the connections between the framework political discourse that initiates the project and the conditions of its execution. In this regard the work insists on the role of French teachers, the essential link in fostering dialogue between populations and institutions, and who thus have a particular responsibility. In the end this thesis tries to demonstrate that today Francophone project must be constructed through a constantly renewed dialogue between the needs voiced in the field and the political authorities capable of establishing a space of feasibility for the project

This study wants to question Plato’s theory of soul through his conception of child and childhood. For this philosopher, human is a mixture of body and soul, which do not belong to the same domain. On the one hand, the body functions following the rules of the sensible world, which are temporal, corporeal and imperfect. On the other, the soul responds to the laws of the intelligible world which are eternal, transcendant and perfect. But the soul is confronted to the obstacles and the imperfections of the sensible world when it becomes the prisoner of a body. A human must try as best as he can to retrieve the perfection that his soul once possessed, especially through the practice of philosophy, which reminds him of what he was and therefore what he has to be. For Plato, the child suffers from a philosophical deficiency that complicates the return of the soul to perfection. He is completely dominated by his body and what his body provokes within his soul. Thus the child becomes a synonym of imperfection. As the first period of human life, childhood is the first obstacle that the soul must overcome to retrieve its true nature. This research would like to show that the child is a central subject of the Platonic system, because he becomes the fundamental stake of a philosophy whose goal is to achieve a better life for humans.

During the past decade, the presence of ICT and technology in general has increased significantly in many areas of society. Education was no exception, and MELS has even created a transversal competency for that matter under the Programme de formation de l'école québécoise. ICT integration was made through various means, including computer labs, computers in the classroom and, more recently, by the introduction of ubiquitous computing projects, in which each student and the teacher have their own computer. In order to complete this research project successfully, it has been included within a broader project subsidized by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. This project is taking place in a disadvantaged community elementary school of Montreal. Ubiquitous computing asks for rigourous planning and ongoing follow-up by teachers, administrative and IT staff. Moreover, such a project obviously presents some technical and pedagogical challenges for teachers. Regarding this matter, three major categories of factors that can impact success of ubiquitous computing projects in education were identified. Those categories can be described as follows : factors that are internal to the teacher (personal matter), factors that are related to work, as well as factors related to infrastructure and equipment. Several concepts, dimensions and indicators are explained in this paper and correlated in order to better understand the challenges that can arise in such projects. Regarding the methodoly used in this research, three teachers accepted to participate in individual interviews, and also answered an online questionnaire. Furthermore, the e-mails exchanged between the research group and the teachers were also analyzed. All data coming from those three sources was subject to a qualitative analysis. The data analysis showed that the dominating category of factors was the one with factors related to work, by a vast majority. Challenges, however, were identified for all dimensions and categories.

Project learning as a pedagogical method is an important teaching strategy in the cegep network in Québec, especially since the collegial Reform in 1993 (Piché & Lapostolle, 2009). However, studies on the efficiency of this pedagogical method, especially longitudinal studies, are rare in the collegial context. The present study analyses the role of many variables from organisational research in psychology. First, the role of two personality variables that are sensitive to task complexity are considered: goal orientations (Dweck & Leggett, 1988) and conflict management style (Rubin, Pruitt, & Kim, 1994). Two processual variables are also studied: conflict types (Jehn 1995, 1997) and proactivity (Griffin, Neale, & Parker, 2007). With the help of mediation analyses (Preacher & Hayes, 2008), the results indicate that the goal orientation and conflict management style most useful in complex tasks are also useful in the project context in cegep, improving students’ proactivity. As for conflict types, an examination of their evolution brings the conclusion that their effect is generally negative because of the strong association between each type. A possible explanation is the presence of misattribution (Simons & Peterson, 2000), which is the false interpretation of conflicts concerning the task into interpersonal conflicts.
