Résumé L’enseignement de Vatican II sur le magistère a été plusieurs fois commenté et analysé. Trop souvent cependant on oublie que c’est dans l’exercice même de la fonction magistérielle que le pape et les évêques réunis en Concile ont donné l’enseignement le plus éloquent sur le magistère lors du concile Vatican II. C’est en adoptant une posture (la soumission à la Parole de Dieu, l’attention aux besoins de la famille humaine et l’élaboration conciliariter de leur enseignement), à travers une forme (un enseignement de forme pastoral qui exclut les anathèmes et les définitions dogmatiques) et un style que les Pères conciliaires définissent un nouveau mode d’exercice du magistère. C’est enfin à travers les silences du texte (ces passages retirés du texte initial) que se précise une vision de l’exercice du magistère dans l’Église.

Que la médiation soit humaine, technique ou documentaire, le dispositif détermine la transposition didactique : la posture de l’enseignant, celle des participants, la nature des savoirs et des discours en circulation. Nous analyserons plus particulièrement les spécificités de l’écriture communicationnelle et la polyphonie énonciative du discours de l’enseignant, ainsi que les types de tâches individuelles et collaboratives et leur impact sur la coconstruction collaborative et ouverte des savoirs.

Ma clinique est assurément empreinte de ruptures, de pistes non encore dévoilées, de pensées obscures et de logique tronquée. Mais comme le dit C. G. Jung à propos de la synchronicité, « l’ensemble des coïncidences admissibles et acausales est extrêmement large face à la probabilité de chaque coïncidence ». La seule clinique pourtant qui vaille la peine, peut-être de tant de mots et de paroles, est celle dont la mystique a toujours témoigné en tout temps et en toute culture. Il y a là quelque chose, comme une petite étincelle dans l’âme de l’homme, et ce quelque chose est l’ouverture, l’espoir de l’homme en son devenir. Cette psychologie humaniste et existentielle tient son assise dans l’espérance, non du sens de nos vies pour un quelconque plan téléologique fut-il culturel ou génétique, voire spirituel, mais dans le fait, dans l’expérience d’une référence intrinsèque humaine qui échappe aux conditions du temps et de l’espace.

Ce texte se veut une proposition épistémo-méthodologique du pragmatiste peircien comme mode de recherche en sociologie et notamment pour la négociation sociale. Son apport est double. Tout d’abord, l’abduction, comme mode d’inférence et comme méthode qui combine les trois types de raisonnements, abductif, déductif et inductif, permet de faire émerger une hypothèse, une habitude d’action propre à apaiser le doute et atteindre la croyance. Ensuite, sur un plan épistémologique, il invite le chercheur à explorer dans la réalité, l’articulation entre significations et situations, pensées et actions. C’est une posture qui rend caduque la querelle des méthodes entre la déduction et l’induction, pour proposer une méthode alternative basée sur un processus de production de connaissance axé sur l’activité humaine et l’expérimentation. Des hypothèses explicatives sont confrontées avec des « objectivités » situationnelles, tout autant par les acteurs participant à la négociation sociale que les chercheurs qui en font l’expérience pour la décoder et la rapporter. Enfin, la négociation sociale est un objet qui se prête parfaitement au pragmatisme considérant que c’est une expérience qui renvoie à une autre expérience, qui se renouvelle sans cesse, et qui génère des redéfinitions en continu des conditions, stratégies et enjeux. De surcroît, la négociation sociale un exercice qui permet une projection dans l’avenir, conception dérivée de la maxime du pragmatiste.

Les nouveaux éditeurs québécois apparus au début des années 2000 se présentent dans leur discours comme entretenant des liens étroits avec leurs auteurs, mais également avec d’autres intervenants de la chaîne du livre, comme les libraires ou les imprimeurs. Sans réduire cet élément à une simple posture, j’avance que la mise en valeur de ce travail de proximité, présenté sous le mode de relations interpersonnelles privilégiées, constitue un point nodal de l’ethos des nouveaux éditeurs, qui l’utilisent pour se démarquer de leurs aînés, tels que Boréal et Leméac. Je montrerai comment cette « édition de proximité » se donne à voir dans le discours des auteurs et des éditeurs de la «relève», en particulier chez Le Quartanier, Alto et Marchand de feuilles. La collaboration et la proximité sont au fondement de l’ethos de ces maisons d’édition, ces valeurs participant de leur image collective. Leur camaraderie s’incarne par exemple en photos sur lesquelles on peut voir les auteurs et leurs éditeurs participant à des événements ou à des activités — littéraires ou non. Au-delà du couple attendu de l’éditeur et de son auteur, on met aussi de l’avant la proximité de nombreux intervenants de la chaîne du livre : libraires, graphistes, diffuseurs, etc. En somme, les nouveaux éditeurs semblent polir leur image en misant sur des collaborations multiples et étroites, ainsi que sur des structures éditoriales à taille humaine, ce qui semble central dans le positionnement des éditeurs de la relève.

La relativité d'Einstein est née en 1905 pour répondre aux paradoxes posés par l'invariance de la vitesse c de la lumière. Ces paradoxes concernent la dilatation des durées et la contraction des temps observés pour des événements ayant lieu dans un référentiel en mouvement par rapport à un Observateur. La relativité postule que c'est l’interaction entre l'Observateur et l'objet observé qui est la cause des paradoxes. Mais elle ne fait aucune hypothèse concernant la nature de l'Observateur. Or celui qui observe un phénomène n'est jamais un point mais c'est un système ayant une frontière et qui est piloté comme la conscience humaine pilote le corps humain. L'interprétation cognitive et systémique de l'invariance de la vitesse de la lumière permet de prouver l'existence d'un Observateur Universel présent en un point intérieur à tous les systèmes physiques et analogue à la conscience humaine. Contrairement aux systèmes physiques, l'Observateur ne serait pas soumis à la causalité temporelle. Par sa présence inspatiotemporelle à l'intérieur de tous les systèmes, cet Observateur imposerait la valeur des constantes de l'univers, vitesse de la lumière et constante de Planck en particulier. Cette hypothèse raisonnable permet de donner une représentation nouvelle de l'Univers qui serait un multivers composé de tous les univers qui correspondent à tous les systèmes de l'Univers. Elle permettrait aussi de donner une représentation nouvelle de la lumière qui serait constituée de photons qui naîtraient du néant pour y retourner selon un rythme donné. Il y aurait un photon primordial analogue au bit de l'informatique. Il serait le constituant unique de tous les systèmes de l'univers. Cette approche cognitive et systémique de la relativité devrait permet de rapprocher les deux théories de la relativité et de la mécanique quantique. A terme, elle devrait même rapprocher les sciences physiques et les sciences humaines.

We propose a style of hand postures to trigger commands on a laptop. The key idea is to perform hand-postures while keeping the hands on, beside, or below the keyboard, to align with natural laptop usage. 36 hand-posture variations are explored considering three resting locations, left or right hand, open or closed hand, and three wrist rotation angles. A 30-participant formative study measures posture preferences and generates a dataset of nearly 350K images under different lighting conditions and backgrounds. A deep learning recognizer achieves over 97% accuracy when classifying all 36 postures with 2 additional non-posture classes for typing and non-typing. A second experiment with 20 participants validates the recognizer under real-time usage and compares posture invocation time with keyboard shortcuts. Results find low error rates and fast formation time, indicating postures are close to current typing and pointing postures. Finally, practical use case demonstrations are presented, and further extensions discussed.

Humane entrepreneurship postulates an innovative strategic posture assuming that entrepreneurs should concomitantly focus on the enterprise, the human and the societal cycles of the firm to achieve organisational excellence. Scholars have stressed the economic and societal gains triggered by humane entrepreneurship. However, little is known about its implications for work–life balance (WLB). The article fills in this gap, shedding light into the dark side of humane entrepreneurship on the entrepreneurs’ ability to handle the interplay between work and life. Adopting a humane entrepreneurship posture negatively affected the ability to achieve a WLB, paving the way for work-to-life conflicts. Work engagement and subjective well-being moderated the side effects of humane entrepreneurship on WLB. Tailored initiatives are required to address the overlapping between work and life generated by humane entrepreneurship. Inter alia, employees’ empowerment and the improvement of organisational culture are needed to foster the effective implementation of humane entrepreneurship.

We use four sensors to create a good approximation of a human operator's position and posture, and map it on to our articulated computer graphics human model. The unsensed joints are positioned by a fast inverse kinematics algorithm. Our goal is to realistically recreate human postures while minimally encumbering the operator.

Les réflexions sur les ressources humaines (RH) ont de tout temps fait l'objet d'intérêt et n'ont de cesse d'être réinventées. Les innovations en management des RH se sont succédé et se sont diversifiées à maintes occasions. Cela a nécessité, chaque fois, de nouveaux concepts, outils et méthodes et de nouveaux rôles pour la GRH (gestion des ressources humaines). Le concept de l'innovation a lui-même subi des mutations à la fois du fait des travaux et courants que de la pratique nécessitant que les innov'acteurs changent de statuts, de rôles et de motivation et imposent des innovations organisationnelles dans les modes de management de la GRH. La transformation numérique de l'ensemble de l'organisation et la quatrième révolution vont également assigner d'autres rôles et fonctions aux innov'acteurs. C'est dans ce contexte que la pandémie de la COVID-19 fait irruption, imposant d'autres modes de gestion des RH qu'il s'agit d'inventer, d'oser et d'imaginer. Les innov'acteurs doivent de nouveau développer de nouvelles postures. Ce travail a pour objectif d'analyser ces bouleversements. Ce n’est pas une perspective essentiellement théorique. Le souci de coller à la réalité sur un sujet relativement nouveau ne permet pas d’avoir un propos essentiellement théorique. Les illustrations tirées de la réalité et le choix du télétravail comme exemple en font un travail de recherche exploratoire. L’analyse aboutit à deux résultats majeurs. Premièrement, nous assistons à une extension sans précédent des postures des innov’acteurs due à la pandémie nécessitant de nouveaux modes de GRH innovants; au moins quatre postures ont été identifiées. Deuxièmement, avec la pandémie, le télétravail, qui devient une nécessité exigée par la situation, définit un nouveau paysage des formes d’innov’actions avec des niveaux de perturbation de la fonction GRH variant d’intensité selon le type de posture que les innov’acteurs adoptent. Les innovations organisationnelles de la GRH devront comprendre cette combinaison des différentes postures élargissant ainsi le champ de la GRH d’une manière exceptionnelle et inédite et ce, dans un temps record.

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the ergonomic benefits of an angle grinder with a rotatable main handle in a cutting task. Background: Angle grinder manufacturers rarely address ergonomic features in their advertisements, and if they do, the benefits are expressed in a qualitative manner. Meanwhile, quantitative information about the effects of the device on the worker is required to make informed decisions during tool selection and cumulative trauma prevention. Method: Eleven maintenance workers and metalworkers used an angle grinder to cut a horizontal steel rod using three wrist postures. Only one of the postures was exclusively available in the case of a rotatable main handle. The postural effect was evaluated objectively with electromyography and a force-sensing-resistor-based force glove. Subjective ratings about discomfort and control were obtained with a visual analog scale. Results: The subjective ratings favor the near-neutral wrist posture. The forearm muscles’ electromyographic activities were similar across the postures. Forces on the hand–handle interface were concentrated on the intermediate phalanges. If the device is operated without gloves, the forces on the intermediate phalanges may exceed the discomfort pressure threshold regardless of wrist posture. Conclusion: In the cutting task, the subjective measures favor the posture with a near-neutral wrist, which is a feature of the rotatable main handle. The objective measures did not allow one to prefer one posture to another. Application: The findings give insight into the impact of wrist posture on muscle activity, forces on the hand–handle interface, and discomfort. This is useful information for the person responsible for tool selection.

Objective The effects of seat height and anthropometric dimensions on drivers’ preferred postures were investigated using a multiadjustable vehicle mock-up with a large number of adjustments and extended ranges. Background Many studies have been conducted on preferred driving posture under different test conditions showing mixed and even contradictory findings. No studies thus far have considered the clutch and compared Chinese and European drivers. Method Four seat height conditions were tested: free and three imposed heights (250, 300, and 350 mm). Sixty-one subjects (40 French-born and 21 Chinese-born) participated in the experiment, covering a large range of stature and sitting height–to–stature ratio. The RAMSIS kinematic model was used to reconstruct postures, and main intersegmental angles were extracted for characterizing posture. Results Under the free seat height condition, no significant differences in preferred intersegmental angles were observed between different participant groups. Seat height mainly affected trunk–thigh angle, whereas it had almost no effect on trunk orientation and other intersegmental angles. Chinese participants sat more forward in the seat, leading to a more opened trunk–thigh angle and a more reclined trunk. Conclusions Results suggest that intersegmental angles of preferred posture are not dependent on anthropometric dimensions, although shorter drivers prefer a slightly less reclined trunk. Self-selected driving posture results from a compromise between maintaining the intersegmental angles in one’s preferred range and a preferred trunk orientation in space. Applications The findings contribute to a better understanding of preferred driving postures and would be helpful for improving vehicle interior design.

Lumbar and thoracic spinal angles of 25 male and 25 female subjects were measured in four sitting postures, with standing spinal angles used as reference. Subjects sat with either 90 deg or 65 deg of hip flexion on either flat or forward-sloping seats. Lumbar kyphosis was greatest when the flat seat/90-deg posture was adopted and least when the sloping seat/65-deg posture was adopted. The opposite was observed for the thoracic angles, and intermediate results were observed for the other two sitting postures. No statistically significant interactions were observed among seat slope, hip flexion, and subject sex. The findings are discussed with reference to the anatomy of sitting and factors influencing pelvic tilt and the implications for the ergonomic design of chairs.

In this paper we describe a new scheme for empirically investigating the effects of task factors on three-dimensional (3D) dynamic postures during seated reaching movements. The scheme relies on an underlying model that integrates two statistical procedures: (a) a regression description of the relationship between the time-varying hand location and postural angles to characterize the movement data and (b) a series of analyses of variance to test the hypothesized task effects using representative instantaneous postures. The use of this scheme is illustrated by an experiment that examines two generic task factors: hand motion direction and motion completion time. Results suggest that hand motion direction is a significant task factor in determining instantaneous postures, whereas a distinctive difference in the time to complete a motion does not appear to have a significant effect. We discuss the concept of an instantaneous posture and its utility in dynamic studies of movements, some insights into human reaching movement control strategy, and implications for the development of a 3D dynamic posture prediction model.

Prolonged computer-related work can be linked to musculoskeletal disorders (MSD) in the upper limbs and improper posture. In this regard, we report on developing resources supporting improper posture studies based on motion capture sensors. These resources were used to create a baseline detector for the automated detection of improper sitting postures, which was next used to evaluate the applicability of Hjorth’s parameters—Activity, Mobility and Complexity—on the specific classification task. Specifically, based on accelerometer data, we computed Hjorth’s time-domain parameters, which we stacked as feature vectors and fed to a binary classifier (kNN, decision tree, linear SVM and Gaussian SVM). The experimental evaluation in a setup involving two different keyboard types (standard and ergonomic) validated the practical worth of the proposed sitting posture detection method, and we reported an average classification accuracy of up to 98.4%. We deem that this research contributes toward creating an automated system for improper posture monitoring for people working on a computer for prolonged periods.

The spinal angles of 25 female subjects were measured in standing and in four different sitting postures with various trunk-thigh angles. Additionally, measurements of hip and lumbar mobility were made in an attempt to relate mobility to spinal curvature in the different sitting postures. Lumbar curvature was observed to decrease as the trunk-thigh angle decreased across the different sitting postures, and reduction in curvature was associated with hip mobility. An exploratory analysis of interrelationships among hip mobility, spinal mobility, and spinal curvature was also carried out. A significant correlation between lumbar and thoracic angular deviations in standing and hip flexion/extension range was obtained. The findings are discussed with reference to theories of sitting posture and the influence of hip joint mobility on postural adaptations to furniture. Further investigations, including studies of male subjects, are indicated.

Many workers perform manual assembly tasks or use hand tools while the hands are postured above the shoulders or to the side of the body. Experiments were conducted to study the sensitivity of speed-accuracy movement performance to a wide range of hand locations around the shoulder under various levels of hand loads, ratios of work to rest, and task durations. Subjects performed a spatially constrained stylus-to-hole Fitts reciprocal movement task designed to simulate high-incentive manual assembly operations while providing basic information regarding changes in human move and positioning capabilities. Significant decrements in movement performance occurred when hands were postured above shoulder level. Move and positioning times increased 15.3% and 26.5%, respectively, with elevation of the hand from −15 to 60 deg respective to shoulder level. Posturally based decrements in movement capability were unrelated to differences in subject strength capability found among test postures. The consequences of elevated arm postures on human move and positioning capability are presented along with workplace design and methods recommendations for job designers facing work-height decisions in manual assembly environments.

Abstract Artificial agents can uplift the living standards of domestic population considerably. One hindrance for this is that the robot is less competent to perceive complex human behaviors. With such perceptive skills in the robot, nonexpert users will find it easier to cope with their robot companion with less and less instructions to follow. Perception of the internal state of a user or “user situation” before interaction is crucial in this regard. There are a variety of factors that affect this user situation. Out of these, posture becomes prominent in displaying the emotional state of a person. This article presents a novel approach to identify diverse human postures often encountered in domestic environments and how a robot could assess its user’s emotional state of mind before an interaction based on postures. Therefore, the robot evaluates posture and the overall postural behavior of its user throughout the period of observation before initiating an interaction with its user. Aforementioned user evaluation is nonverbal and decisions are made through observation as well. We introduced a variable called “valence” to measure how “relaxed” or “stressed” a user is, in a certain encounter. The robot decides upon an appropriate approach behavior accordingly. Furthermore, the proposed concept was capable of recognizing both arm and body postures and both postural behaviors over time. This leads to an interaction initiated by robot itself in a favorable situation so that the scenario looks more intelligent. Hence more humanlike. The system has been implemented, and experiments have been conducted on an assistive robot placed in an artificially created domestic environment. Results of the experiments have been used to validate the proposed concept and critical observations are discussed.

Virtual-hand input realizes the natural and dexterous functionality in direct humancomputer interaction. The recognition of virtual-hand models is difficult due to two reasons: the complexity of hand structure and the lack of accurate measure, which may be caused by either mechanical noise or human factors. This paper presents a novel fuzzy-logic recognition system that can effectively deal with imprecise hand data. The system consists of three components: the classifier, identifier, and posture database. Fuzzy-logic processing is applied in both the classifier (to build class-indexing structure in the posture database) and in the identifier (to find the most likely match from the database in real-time VR applications). The posture database provides a GUI interface for the user to browse the posture images and interactively update the database by adding and deleting the sample postures, as well as adjusting the certainty threshold in recognition. Our experiments show that the fuzzy-logic method can keep nearly constant performance in recognition using tens of microseconds, even as the size of posture database increases. The recognition rate declines only slightly when the standard derivation of the noise distribution (Gaussian distribution) in the input parameters is below 15 deg. The bounded value in uniform distribution to achieve accurate recognition is below 20. The results show that the fuzzy-logic processing can improve the tolerance of noise or imprecise data in an efficient way. A free-hand modeler based on fuzzy-logic processing has been developed for creating virtual objects and Web-based 3-D VRML worlds.

Manual lifting techniques are commonly defined in terms of the postures adopted at the start of the lift. Quantitative definition is problematic, however, because the absolute joint angles adopted to lift an object are influenced by task parameters, such as the initial height of the load. We present an argument for the use of a postural index (the ratio of knee flexion from normal standing to the sum of ankle, hip, and lumbar vertebral flexion) to define the postures adopted at the start of lifting. Stooped postures adopted at the start of a lift correspond to postural indices close to 0, whereas full squat postures correspond to postural indices close to 1. We use angular kinematic data gathered from 71 individuals lifting loads of varying mass from a range of starting heights to illustrate the utility of this index. Although average absolute joint angles were influenced by load mass and initial load height, the average postural index remained unchanged. For example, changes in starting height from 9 cm to 63 cm accounted for between 19% and 67% of the variance in joint positions at the start of the lift but only 1% of the variance in average postural index. This suggests that the postural index provides a method of defining lifting posture that is independent of specific joint positions

Dans cet article, nous souhaitons montrer que la RAF représente un terreau fertile à l’induction, une posture singulière que le chercheur peut adopter dans l’exploration de phénomènes humains et selon laquelle c’est la méthode qui s’adapte à l’objet et aux particularités du terrain, et non l’inverse. Plus précisément, l’article vise à illustrer comment s’est manifestée cette perspective inductive dans l’articulation singulière d’une RAF (Bergeron, 2014). Sont notamment mises en lumière certaines marques de l’induction qui influencent la nature des régulations entre les trois pôles de la RAF où les processus de collecte et d’analyse des données sont en constant dialogue. The Rearfoot Angle (RFA) is the most commonly method used for foot posture assessment, and it is also a method for evaluating the subtalar joint neutral foot posture. However, orthopedists and researchers often meet trouble for the measurements of the RFA and neutral foot posture due to lacking measurement with automation and objectivity. In general, the RFA was measured using a goniometer to align with manual markers on the foot. The purpose of this study implements the automatic computing of leg angle, foot angle, and RFA by the foot model using Three-Dimensional (3D) scanning. This study contributes to the algorithms to The purpose of this study implement the automatic and objective computing of leg angle, foot angle, and RFA by the foot model using 3D scanning. The automatic calculation on leg angle, foot angle, and neutral foot posture has been created, test, and validated completely in this study. There are two algorithm methods proposed to determine the midpoint on the leg or foot outline. The midline has been computed by linear regression through five midpoints. The leg and foot angles are calculated by the tibial and calcaneal midlines, respectively. Through the subject standing on eversion foot platforms, the neutral posture of the foot can be computed by the leg and foot angles determined by the 3D model scanned of the foot with various tilt angles. The determinations of the midpoint and midline have been demonstrated algorithm by MATLAB. Based on comparing with the goniometer measured, selecting the midpoint algorithm of the limit points and the lowest point methods to determine the tibial and calcaneal midlines respectively would carry out better results. The foot 3D scanning measurement proposed in this study has been tested and validated from the goniometer. This study can determine the leg angle, foot angle, and neutral foot postures for a subject with normal weight status, but be not suitable for that with obese weight status. In the future, this study can provide guidance for foot posture assessment and personal insoles design.

De nombreux désaccords existent quant à l’interprétation des aptitudes locomotrices des premiers homininés. En effet, la signification fonctionnelle à donner aux caractères à la fois dérivés et archaïques chez une même espèce fossile, comme par exemple chez l’Australopithecus afarensis, reste difficile. Les travaux intégratifs portant sur les primates non humains actuels (morphologie, biomécanique, répertoire posturo-locomoteur) sont des approches pertinentes à ces questions paléoanthropologiques, car les primates adoptent une multitude de modes locomoteurs avec des spécialisations plus ou moins importantes. Dans ce contexte, le babouin olive, Papio anubis, en tant que catarrhinien quadrupède spécialisé, mais possédant pourtant un répertoire posturolocomoteur varié, représente un bon modèle d’étude. Cette espèce est accessible à la station de primatologie du CNRS (UPS 846) de Rousset pour des études à la fois transversales et longitudinales. Des échantillons ontogénétiques permettent d’observer des variations morphologiques liées au développement allométrique et ainsi d’éclaircir la nature des relations entre morphologie, biomécanique de la marche et répertoire posturo-locomoteur. Cette note est une synthèse des résultats obtenus dans le cadre d’une étude intégrative et longitudinale. Au-delà de la spécialisation à la quadrupédie, il existe chez le babouin olive, comme chez l’ensemble des primates, des compromis morphologiques permettant la réalisation d’un répertoire varié, incluant des proportions quantifiables de bipédie, de grimper, de suspension, etc. Dans une perspective paléoanthropologique, ce constat sur des espèces actuelles suggère que les primates éteints, incluant les premiers homininés, devaient posséder de multiples capacités posturolocomotrices avec différents degrés de spécialisation. Dans ce contexte, la compréhension des relations fonctionnelles entre les morphologies actuelles, à la fois au niveau des morphotypes globaux (propriétés d’inerties) et de la morphologie osseuse, avec les répertoires posturo-locomoteurs est fondamentale. En effet, plutôt que rechercher un mode locomoteur unique chez nos ancêtres homininés, ces études sur les primates non humains permettront l’interprétation de répertoires posturo-locomoteurs ancestraux.

Re-penser le monde implique une disposition à adopter une posture critique (Taddei, 2010) d'une manière systémique (globale et située à la fois) en tant qu'individu, citoyen ou professionnel engagé dans une discipline et un savoir-faire/être donné. Dans notre cas, il s'agit du savoir en rapport avec l'architecture, les modes d'établissements humains et leur "enseignabilité" à venir ou à penser. La posture critique n'est pas un savoir ou un objet disponible, c'est un positionnement, un processus souvent individuel, pouvant devenir collectif. Ce qui est à l'essence d'une posture critique c'est la volonté de dépasser un état de fait, d'innover et de comprendre. En architecture ce dépassement est indispensable pour être à l'écoute de l'évolution de notre métier, du monde qui bouge numériquement et écologiquement. En Tunisie, La crise du COVID-19 a impulsé un mouvement de solidarité et d'intelligence collective pour pallier à la pénurie du matériel paramédical. Architectes, nous nous sommes retrouvés au centre d'une dynamique nationale de fabrication de visières et de masques par imprimante 3D. Cet élan a dégagé l'expression d'une posture collective. Le post-covid se mesure, de notre point de vue, dans l'intérêt qu'accordent les tunisiens, les architectes et les étudiants à la question écologique en architecture. Davantage de maître d'ouvrages, ONG, Municipalités, décideurs institutionnels nous sollicitent aujourd'hui et interagissent avec notre plateforme ebniecolo.tn. Alors que cela fait plus de vingt ans que nous tentons d'initier les étudiants et d'inciter les architectes à re-penser nos modes constructifs et architecturaux à fort impact carbone, malgré une faible réceptivité. Cette "événementialité en acte" (Ismaïl, 2009) post-covid19 nous pousse à adopter une posture critique "systémique" en vue d'une transition écologique dans une pensée collective et coopérative. Nous exposerons le contour épistémique, les outils conceptuels et les paliers significatifs pour la construction d'une posture critique enseignant(e), comme support pour engager un débat.

Pour cela, on fait intervenir des notions encore peu mobilisées dans les territoires scientifiques des théories du discours comme les affects, les vertus ou la réflexivité. On examine en premier lieu le projet d’une science réaliste de l’humanité tel qu’il est formulé par Devereux 1967 à propos de la réflexivité et de l’inconscient des chercheurs ; on pose en second lieu la question de la dimension éthique du savoir, autrement dit le problème de la vertu épistémique, à partir des travaux épistémologiques en philosophie de la connaissance ; on propose enfin une revue critique de pseudo-postures réflexives et éthiques qui ne mènent pas vraiment à une véritable humanité de la science du discours.

This paper considers relevant human factors to interact with a pliable body in a teleoperation surgical environment. Our aim is to identify the human capabilities, in terms of penetration depth and responsiveness, in a task of pliable surface contact, where surgeons are required to adopt a specific behavior immediately after the contact. A psychophysical experiment is conducted using virtual surfaces rendered with two different force-feedback devices. The results show that impact velocity affects performance in surface contact perception. In a second experiment where different postures are used, we examine whether the previous results hold for the particular ergonomic configuration employed. The results show that posture affects performance especially in expert users. Our findings underscore the importance of understanding the interplay of human perceptual parameters in the surgical teleoperation framework.

Objective We examined the impacts of pulling task (breakaway and pull-down tasks at different postures), glove use, and their interaction on achievable downward pull forces from a ladder rung. Background Posture, glove use, and the type of pulling task are known to affect the achievable forces. However, a gap in the literature exists regarding how these factors affect achievable downward pulling forces, which are relevant to recovery from a perturbation during ladder climbing. Methods Forty subjects completed four downward pulling tasks (breakaway force; pull force at maximum height, shoulder height, and a middle height), using three glove conditions with varying coefficient of friction (COF) levels (cotton glove, low COF; bare hand, moderate COF; and latex-coated glove, high COF) with their dominant and nondominant hand. The outcome variable was the maximum force normalized to body weight. Results The highest forces were observed for the highest hand postures (breakaway and maximum height). Increased COF led to higher forces and had a larger effect on breakaway force than the other tasks. The dominant hand was associated with higher forces than the nondominant hand. Male subjects generated greater forces than female subjects, particularly for higher hand positions. Conclusion This study suggests that a higher hand position on the ladder, while avoiding low-friction gloves, may be effective for improving recovery from ladder perturbations. Application This study may guide preferred climbing strategies (particularly those that lead to a higher hand position) for improving recovery from a perturbation during ladder climbing.

Autant de questions, emblématiques des incertitudes qui saisissent l’esprit des Lumières quand l’animalité le taraude, et qui annoncent un raffinement des limites entre natures humaine et animale. C’est dans cette optique que cet article propose une esquisse de la représentation de l’âme des bêtes en cette période où la variété des postures philosophiques témoigne de l’épistémè d’une anthropologie naissante où faire de l’âme de l’homme un objet d’histoire naturelle passe non plus seulement par un recours à la Révélation, mais par une réflexion sur la sensibilité. Pour ce faire, nous mettrons en perspective deux postures qui se succèdent chronologiquement : tout d’abord, la religieuse, héritage du cartésianisme, avant d’explorer comment le sensualisme ambiant proposera des représentations nuancées qui ouvriront sur une possible continuité biologique et morale entre l’homme et l’animal.

Observing seated posture is important for ergonomic assessment; proper chair fit and chair adjustment should be considered for the entire context of work demands. Recommending only one seated posture presumes that all seated work has a similar location of visual targets, shoulder reach distances, and support surfaces. The nature of work tasks may influence posture more than does chair adjustment, and field observation of sitting should focus specifically on lumbar spine posture when work may cause forward movement of the torso. I suggest that the position and movement of the pelvis in relation to the torso is a reasonable and important indicator of spinal posture.

Abstract When disease outbreaks that threaten the poultry industry require mass euthanasia, it is imperative to ensure humane methods of euthanasia. Current methods are not practical on a large scale. Sodium nitrite ingested at high concentrations prevents the transport of oxygen in the blood and thereby renders the animal unconscious and then dead. Laying hens (n=8 per treatment, 18 wk of age) were subjected to 1 of 4 treatments: A, 75 mg/kg BW; B, 150 mg/kg BW; C, 300 mg/kg BW; or D, 600 mg/kg BW of sodium nitrite in feed. Behavior was recorded via direct observation and video recording. The D hens spent more time lying/sitting, less time standing, and more time inactive alert then C hens (P < 0.03), but not A and B hens. However, A, B, and C hens spent more time standing compared to lying/sitting (P < 0.01), whereas D hens spent equal time in both behaviors. The D hens spent less time eating and drinking, and had fewer drinking events compared to the A, B, and C hens (P < 0.04). Only 1 hen, a D hen, died. She stopped eating 1 min after eating, was lying on her side by 2 min, had total loss of posture and feather erection at 2.5 min, and tremors and wing flapping 5 s later, with subsequent (1 s later) lack of palpebral reflex. The greatest dose of sodium nitrite caused hens to be lethargic and eat and drink less. This could be due to sedation and aversion to the taste of sodium nitrite. The hen that died did so in an apparently humane manner; however, with only 1 hen dying it is not possible to say if sodium nitrite is a humane method of euthanasia and future research should investigate feeding in an encapsulated form.
