Although self-modeling has been effective in modifying behaviors in a variety of settings, little research has been completed in the physical domain. The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of self-modeling on performance and self-efficacy using a sport skill and to explore the cognitive processes underlying self-modeling. A multiple baseline single-subject design was used wherein five intermediate level volleyball players were given a self-modeling intervention. Performance outcome results indicated that self-modeling may contribute to increases in serve accuracy. Performance form and selfefficacy results were inconclusive. Using a think-aloud protocol, it was noted that although the participants found the images of themselves “shocking,” the images command cognitive resources. Postintervention interviews revealed that participants found the self-modeling intervention useful and that it led to changes in behavior and motivation.

Анотація:

The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the influence of environmental, social and governance performance on the economic performance of the Standard & Poor’s 500 companies. Structural equation modeling and linear regression have been utilized to measure the overall and individual influence of environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance on economic performance using longitudinal data comprising the years from 2010 to 2015. The overall ESG model had a significant relationship on economic performance. Furthermore, the findings of this study show that social and governance performance significantly affects economic performance in all regression models. However, environmental performance failed to show a significant relationship. The research contributes to the literature by providing insights for investors, managers and employees about the influence of ESG performance on company performance.

Recent application of modeling techniques to physical training has opened the possibility for prediction from training. Solution of the inverse problem, determining a training program to produce a desired performance at a specific time, is also possible and may yield strategies for achieving better training and tapering (complete or relative rest for a period before competition) regimens for competitive athletes. A mathematical technique derived from model theory is described in this paper that allows the design of an optimal strategy of physical preparation for an individual to do well in a single future competitive event or cluster of events. Simulation results, using default parameters of a training model, suggest that presently accepted forms of taper for competition may remain too rigorous and short in duration to achieve the best result possible from the training undertaken.

Access to 3D descriptions of fault zone architectures and recent development of modeling techniques allowing explicit rendering of these features in reservoir models, provide a new tool for detailed implementation of fault zone properties. Our aim is to assess how explicit rendering of fault zone architecture and properties affects performance of fluid flow simulation models. The test models use a fault with a maximum 100 m displacement and a fault damage zone with petrophysical heterogeneity caused by the presence of deformation bands. The distribution pattern of deformation bands in fault damage zones is well-documented, which allows generation of realistic models. A multiscale modeling workflow is applied to incorporate these features into reservoir models. Model input parameters were modulated to provide a range of property distributions, and the interplay between the modeling parameters and reservoir performance was analyzed. The influence of deformation-band damage zone on reservoir performance in the presence of different fault core transmissibility-multipliers was investigated. Two configurations are considered: one in which the fault terminates inside the model domain, representing a case in which the fluid can flow around the fault, and one in which the fault dissects the entire model domain, representing a case in which the fluid is forced to cross the fault. We observed that the impact of deformation-band fault damage zone on reservoir performance changes when the fault core transmissibility multiplier is changed. Reservoir performance is insensitive to changing damage zone heterogeneity in a configuration in which flow can move around the fault. Where flow cannot bypass the fault, the influence of fault damage zone heterogeneity on reservoir performance is significant even when the fault core transmissibility multiplier is low.

Focusing on the identification of the role played by Industry on the relations between Corporate Strategic Factors and Performance, the hierarchical multilevel modeling method was adopted when measuring and analyzing the relations between the variables that comprise each level of analysis. The adequacy of the multilevel perspective to the study of the proposed relations was identified and the relative importance analysis point out to the lower relevance of industry as a moderator of the effects of corporate strategic factors on performance, when the latter was measured by means of return on assets, and that industry don‟t moderates the relations between corporate strategic factors and Tobin‟s Q. The main conclusions of the research are that the organizations choices in terms of corporate strategy presents a considerable influence and plays a key role on the determination of performance level, but that industry should be considered when analyzing the performance variation despite its role as a moderator or not of the relations between corporate strategic factors and performance.

AbstractAgriculture is a priority sector of the national economy, so the analysis of the economic performance of agricultural holdings in Romania using modern methods, such as econometric modeling, is of particular importance. In this article is made an analysis of economic performance, expressed by ROA and ROE, for the first 500 farms in Romania (ordered by turnover size), over a period of 5 years, the purpose being to provide an answer to a fundamental research question: Which are the economic indicators/variables that significantly influence the economic performance expressed by ROA and ROE? The results of this study highlight the relevance of the econometric modeling applied for performance analysis as well as the main indicators that significantly influence the economic performance of agricultural holdings expressed by ROA and ROE. The paper brings a significant contribution to make correct decisions aimed at the economic performance of the agricultural sector.

The population in this study by census technique is to take all employees at the Syarifuddin Wonorejo Lumajang Islamic Institute, totaling 50 (fifty) employees. The necessity for sustainable development, the coronavirus pandemic, and conducting business within the frameworks of the fourth industrial revolution—Industry 4.0 create a challenging environment where enterprises have difficulties to achieve and maintain competitiveness. Information is becoming a core construct when it comes to conducting business in the modern, globalized business environment. In this paper, the influence of information systems (IS) on sustainable business performance and competitiveness is analyzed. Additionally, the influence of human resource management (HRM) and decision making (DM) on sustainable business performance and competitiveness, as two crucial constructs in the new paradigm of conducting business, are addressed. The relations are discussed from the aspect of sustainable development and future post-pandemic business trends. The main goal is to determine the relations between the noted constructs in a transitional setting. In sum, 184 manufacturing enterprises from Republika Srpska were surveyed via a structured survey, where the focus was on quantifying and modeling the influence of IS, HRM, and DM on sustainable business performance. The results indicate that IS, HRM, DM can affect business performance in a transitional economic setting. This approach is novel, as the existing body of literature does not address all the noted influencing factors on sustainable business performance and competitiveness in a transition economy. Hence, this paper significantly contributes to the existing body of literature and provides a solid basis for future research in this domain.

This paper investigates the influence of Reynolds number on performance modeling of horizontal axis wind rotors. A procedure for accounting for Reynolds number effects on airfoil section models was developed and implemented for NACA 0012 and NACA 4415 profiles; both of these models is valid through angles of attack up to 90 deg and for Reynolds numbers ranging from 4 × 104 to 3 × 106. These models were incorporated into both a lifting line computer code, LL200R, adapted for this report. This enabled greater certainty to be obtained in evaluating theoretical performance codes with respect to actual data, as well as providing a means by which a parametric analysis of the relative effects of Re changes on rotor performance to be performed. The use of low Reynolds number section data was found to significantly lower the predicted values of power coefficient, particularly at off-design tip-speed-ratios. For symmetrical airfoils, this effect on performance was only significant for low tip-speed-ratios, while cambered airfoils were affected more uniformly at all operating conditions. Changes in performance were induced by parametric variations of wind speed, rotor scale, and rotor generating mode using the Reynolds number dependent section models. Results show that wind speed variations are more significant for smaller rotors at lower wind-speeds, and section models represented at only a single Reynolds number are more suitable for the analysis of constant RPM rotors.

The purpose of this research is the effect of the quality management system on service performance. The sample target was the organizations/fields of the consulting companies represented by the permanent experts or skilled manpower working accordingly with the field of construction planning services. Determination of the use of the sample was based on the rule of thumb in structural equation modeling (SEM), which amounted 10x20 indicators or 200 respondents. There is significant influence between the variables of the quality management system to service quality and company performance, but there is no significant effect on product characteristics. The quality management system focuses on earning user satisfaction by applying basic principles to the management of good companies. Organizations can apply the principles of quality management systems in some organizational processes; with the flexibility and benefits that exist, this quality management system could be a tool for business owners.

This study investigates the influence of technological innovative capabilities (TICs) on firm performance (FP) in the IT sector, with strategic agility as a moderator variable. This paper analyzes the TICs at the firm level in the service sector using the functional approach. An online structured questionnaire was adapted and refined to collect the required information on the influence of TICs dimensions on FP in the IT sector to achieve the objectives. The unit of analysis consists of top management staff and heads of departments from IT firms in Amman, Jordan. A sample of 67 IT firms was selected, and 300 questionnaires were distributed. A total number of returned responses was 223, producing a 74% response rate. Structural equation modeling was used to test the hypotheses. The revealed findings show that learning capability, marketing capability, organizational capability, and strategic planning capability had a significant influence on FP, whereas resource allocation capability was not significant. In addition, multiple hierarchical regression was used to test the moderating effect of strategic agility on the relationship between TICs and FP. Revealed results of the overall model to examine the moderating effect show that strategic agility is not significant in moderating the relationship between TICs dimensions and FP.

Abstract Species distribution modeling (SDM) can be useful for many applied purposes, e.g., mapping and monitoring of rare and endangered species. Sparse presence data are a recurrent, major obstacle to precise modeling of species distributions. Thus, knowing the minimum number of presences required to obtain reliable distribution models is of fundamental importance for applied use of SDM. This study uses a novel approach to assess the critical sample size (CSS) sufficient for an accurate prediction of species distributions with Maximum Entropy Modeling (MaxEnt). Large presence datasets for thirty insect species, ranging from generalists to specialists regarding their responses to main bioclimatic gradients, were used to produce reference distribution models. Models based on replicated subsamples of different size drawn randomly from the full dataset were compared to the reference model using the index of vector similarity distribution models. Models based on replicated subsamples of different size drawn randomly from the full dataset were compared to the reference model using the index of vector similarity (IVS). Two thresholds for IVS were determined based on comparison of nine reference models to random null models. The threshold values correspond to 0.95 and 0.99 probability that a model outperforms a random null model in terms of similarity to the reference dataset. For 90% of the species, clearly nonrandom models were obtained with less than 10 presence observations, and for 97% of the species with less than 15 presence observations. We conclude that the number of presence observations required to produce nonrandom models is generally low and, accordingly, that even sparse datasets may be useful for distribution modelling.

Non-linear Static Analysis serves as a suitable measure to evaluate the performance of a structural system. The careful selection of modelling approach and the load pattern is critical to arrive at an adequate performance evaluation. The present study seeks to evaluate and compare the response of an existing eight story reinforced concrete structure, through the application of different modeling approaches and load patterns prescribed by FEMA 356. The results indicates that, with extreme clarity, that in all cases, the shape of the lateral load distribution is what the response of the buildings is finely accustomed to. This is especially true when different patterns of load are considered. It can also be observed that there is a very small difference between various load patterns.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of viral marketing and purchase intention, the influence between viral marketing and supply chain performance, the influence buzz marketing and purchase intention, the positive buzz marketing and supply chain performance, and the influence between purchase intention and supply chain performance. This study uses quantitative methods and data analysis techniques Structural Equation Modeling Equation Modeling using SmartPLS 3.0 software. The sample selection method used the snowball sampling method. Online questionnaires were sent to respondents as many as 120 Freight Forwarders in DKI Jakarta. Based on data analysis, it was found that there is a positive influence between viral marketing and purchase intention, there is a positive influence between viral marketing and supply chain performance, there is a positive influence between buzz marketing and purchase intention. There is a positive influence between marketing buzz and supply chain performance. There is a positive influence between purchase intention and supply chain performance. The novelty of this research is a model of the relationship between viral and buzz marketing on purchase intention and supply chain performance and the results of this study can be applied in other organizations and in other countries.

Many neighborhood weight matrices have been adopted for modeling crash spatial heterogeneity. However, there has been little evaluation of their influence on crash prediction modeling performance. This study investigated 17 spatial-proximity matrices for development of spatial crash prediction models and site ranking with county-level data in California. Of the group of matrices being evaluated, traffic exposure–weighted and population-weighted distance-based matrices were first proposed in the traffic safety field. Bayesian spatial analysis was conducted with a combination of a first-order autoregressive error process and time trend for crashes to address the serial correlation of crashes in successive years. Two diagnostic measures were used for assessment of goodness of fit and complexity of models, and seven evaluation criteria were employed to assess the benefits associated with better-fitting models in site ranking. The results showed that modeling performance improved with an increase in number of neighbors considered in the weight matrix. However, a larger number of neighbors also led to greater variability of modeling performance. Specifically, Queen-2 and Decay-50 models proved to be superior among the adjacency- and distance-based models, respectively. The significance of incorporating spatial correlations was highlighted by the consistently poor performance of the base model, which included only the heterogeneity random effect. Finally, model-fitting performance seems to be strongly correlated with site-ranking performance. The models with closer goodness of fit tend to yield more consistent ranking results.

This research analyzed the relationships among performance allowance, employee motivation, work achievement and organizational performance in the Ministry of Religion's Office Lumajang City. This research used a quantitative research design based on. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) model. Research results showed insignificant direct between performance allowance and motivation, employees’ work achievement, and organizational performance. Work achievement has a direct and strongest significant influence on performance improvement in public organizations. Nonetheless, the influence of work achievement on organizational performance is mediated by a number of supporting factors, including performance allowance and motivation.

PT. XYZ is a company engaged in construction specifically steel fabrication. The problem encountered by company was frequent overtimes with low remuneration but cannot meet production target. The objective of study was to know the influence of motivation, environment,stress on employee performance through job satisfaction as intervening variable. The method used was Structural Equation Modeling with IBS SPSS AMOS software. The results of study indicated that motivation had positive influence of 0.229, environment had positive influence of 2.746, and stress had significant influence of 0.139 on job satisfaction. Motivation had positive influence of 0.910, environment had positive influence of 2.526, and stress had negative influence of -0.221 on employee performance. Motivation had positive influence of 0.093, environment had positive influence of 1.120, and stress had positive and significant influence of 0.056 on employee performance through job satisfaction as intervening variable. Анотація:

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate the factors that influence college students’ smartphone use for academic purposes by identifying the task-technology fit (TTF) of smartphones. A research model is proposed to explain how TTF of smartphones affects college students’ perceived academic performance and smartphone use. Design/methodology/approach Online surveys were administered to college students at a South Korean university that has offered online academic services for more than five years, and 1,923 valid responses were analyzed. The study used partial least squares path modeling to evaluate the measurement model, and the bootstrapping technique to test the significance of the hypotheses. Findings The findings highlight that the TTF of smartphones has a direct influence on students’ perceptions of performance impact and an indirect influence on smartphone use through a precursor of utilization, such as attitude toward smartphone use, social norms and facilitating conditions. Research limitations/implications Despite a reasonably large sample, a single cross-sectional survey has a likelihood of selection bias in the sample. Practical implications This study applies the TTF model to smartphone use among college students and suggests an effective way to motivate them to use mobile technologies for their academic activities. Originality/value The present study develops an empirical model to assess the adoption of smartphones and its effect on college students’ academic performance. Above all, the study identifies a causal relationship among TTF, precursor of utilization, smartphone use and a perceived impact on academic performance based on the development and validation of the TTF constructs of smartphones.

This paper investigates the influence of the interconnection network topology of a parallel system on the delivery time of an ensemble of messages, called the communication scheme. More specifically, we focus on the impact on the performance of structure in network topology and communication scheme. We introduce causal structure learning algorithms for the modeling of the communication time. The experimental data, from which the models are learned automatically, is retrieved from simulations. The qualitative models provide insight about which and how variables influence the communication performance. Next, a generic property is defined which characterizes the performance of individual communication schemes and network topologies. The property allows the accurate quantitative prediction of the runtime of random communication on random topologies. However, when either communication scheme or network topology exhibit regularities the prediction can become very inaccurate. The causal models can also differ qualitatively and quantitatively. Each combination of communication scheme regularity type, e.g. a one-to-all broadcast, and network topology regularity type, e.g. torus, possibly results in a different model which is based on different characteristics.

With the increasing number of cars, the demand for vehicle maintenance lifts is also increasing. The hydraulic valve is one of its core components, but there are problems with it such as inaccurate positioning and failure. In order to improve the service performance of vehicle maintenance elevators, a novel annular multi-channel magnetorheological (MR) valve structure was creatively proposed based on intelligent material MR fluid (MRF), and its magnetic circuit was designed. The influence of current, damping gap and coil turns on the pressure drop performance of the annular multi-channel MR valve was numerically studied and compared with ordinary type magnetorheological valve pressure drop performance through contrast and analysis. The influence of different loads and currents on the pressure drop performance of annular multi-channel magnetorheological valve was verified by experiments, and the reliability of numerical analysis results was verified. The results show that the single winding excitation coil is 321 to meet the demand. The pressure drop performance of the annular multi-channel magnetorheological valve is 5.6 times that of the ordinary magnetorheological valve. The load has little influence on the regulating range and performance of pressure drop of the MR valve. Compared with the common type, the pressure drop performance of the annular multi-channel MR Valve is improved by 3.7 times, which is basically consistent with the simulation results.

This part includes definition and several methods used to classify organizational culture: Hofstede, Peters and Waterman, Deal and Kennedy, Edgar Schein, Kotter and Heskett, Lukášová and opinions why a measurement perspective is worthwhile. The second major section contains methodology for measuring the organizational culture and its impact on organizational performance. We suggest using structural equation modeling for quantitative assessment of organizational culture.

Pandrah Weir, built-in 1987, serves the Pandrah Technical Irrigation Area in Bireuen District, Aceh Province, with an area of 1.203 Ha. Its old infrastructure has experienced various damage that can decrease the irrigation system performance. The Pandrah irrigation system's previous performance assessment by both the MASSCOTE approach and Rapid Appraisal Procedure (RAP) evaluation suggested a service level of 3.05 (useful classification). This study assessed the effect of the variables on the Pandrah irrigation system's performance with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) operated by the AMOS program. The four leading indicators were irrigation service, Water User Farmers Association (P3A), operator Human Resources (H.R.), and irrigation operation modernization. The refinement of irrigation system performance analysis using SEM showed that results of the four irrigation system performance indicators, namely: 0.082 (p=0.768), 0.090 (p=0.273), 0.419 (p=0.287), and 0.606 (p=0.039) for irrigation service, P3A indicator, irrigation operation modernization, and H.R. respectively. Based on the evaluation of the four indicators of irrigation system performance, it is concluded that the Pandrah irrigation system's performance is good. This performance assessment provides a clear picture of irrigation water services, H.R., P3A being an initial assessment for priorities, planning, and scheduling to start modernization programs for irrigation system operations. Irrigation modernization aims to facilitate the operation and maintenance by improving the irrigation system. This modernization means that irrigation planning, irrigation operation, maintenance, and monitoring systems have been carefully calculated before proposing a new irrigation network. The success of monitoring activities requires the use of information technology.

At present, introduction of operating firing field technologies is one of the urgent tasks of the Russian railway transport, as their use can significantly improve operational performance parameters. The factors and conditions of transition to operating firing field control system for operational performance are investigated in this paper. It provides the analysis of the problems that arise during the work of the operating firing field and proposes measures for their elimination. Methods of mathematical and computer modeling using the author’s software product were used. A new approach to multilevel simulation of the work of a transport operating firing field has been developed, which involves the use of the mathematical apparatus of multiphase queuing systems.

Purpose This paper aims to analyze the influence of gender diversity on the relationship between corporate social responsibility (CSR), corporate governance (CG) and economic and financial performance of Brazilian publicly traded companies. Design/methodology/approach The sample comprises 68 non-financial public companies comprising the IBX100 index of BM&FBOVESPA. For that, it was used panel data modeling, correlation and ranking by TOPSIS method. Findings The results suggest a significant relationship between CG and economic–financial performance when mediated by gender diversity. This relationship was not observed between CSR and economic–financial performance. Thus, it can be concluded that in a diversified board of directors, in terms of gender, better monitoring of managers can occur because of the increase in their independence in decisions, as well as performance increase. These results diverge from the literature on the influence of women’s participation in corporate boards in CSR. It is assumed that this result is because of the fact that the participation of women is recent in Brazil. Research limitations/implications The main limitations are the number of companies analyzed, the choice of ISE index to verify the CSR variable and the metric used to verify the CG mechanisms. Originality/value In general, this research contributes to the literature of the area, especially in Brazil, in confirming that the mediating variable gender diversity makes the relationship between CG and performance more significant.

Purpose This paper aims to analyze the influence of organizational learning (OL) and service innovation (SI) on organizational performance of knowledge-intensive business services (KIBS) and examine the mediating role of SI. Design/methodology/approach Hypotheses were tested using the theoretical OL model of knowledge acquisition, distribution, interpretation and organizational memory (Huber, 1991; Lopez, Peon, & Ordas, 2005; Jiménez-Jiménez & Sanz-Valle, 2011), using structural equation modeling partial least squares analysis of a survey data set of Brazilian architectural firms. Findings Findings suggest that OL is significantly linked to SI and so is SI to organizational performance. However, neither the direct relationship between OL and organizational performance could be verified, nor the mediating effect of SI. Practical implications These results can offer KIBS managers insights that suggest that OL alone does not guarantee a significant impact in organizational performance, but it is a starting point for achieving SIs, that lead to performance improvement and competitive advantages. Originality/value This paper contributes to the knowledge production in the following ways: to the understanding of the relationship between OL and SI and its effect on organizational performance, traditionally overlooked in the literature; to the study of SIs, considering the importance of the service sector; and to the study of innovation processes in architectural firms, a sector traditionally understudied, because of the focus on large construction firms.

An ammonia-stainless steel steady state modeling of loop heat pipe was established, the impacts on the LHP operating temperature induced by alterable heat loads under 3 operating cases (the different position between evaporator and condenser, the changing of ambient temperature and the changing of heat sink temperature) were analyzed and conclusions were made. Changing the position between evaporator and condenser has a significant influence on the LHP operating temperature. Anti-gravity operation will reduce the performance of the LHP, this phenomenon is obviously in low heat load range. Further more, increasing of fluid pressure drop in the loop will induce decreasing of the LHP performance. The temperature difference between ambient and heat sink will influence the transition heat load (from variable conductance mode to fixed conductance mode), the bigger the temperature difference the higher the transition heat load.

<p style="text-align: justify;">This study used the structural equation modeling (SEM) approach to test a model that hypothesized the influence of self-efficacy, self-control, emotion, and engagement on student academic performance. The structural equation modeling model was developed to link all the study variables with a literature review to describe the interrelationship. Data collected were from 413 college students in their second year. The results show that self-efficacy, self-control, emotion, and engagement predict student academic performance. And through emotion and student engagement, both self-efficacy and self-control predict student academic performance indirectly. Practically the measures used in this study give more information about the learning environment in higher education settings than those usually come from traditional practices faculty received in the classroom, such as student rating forms and feedback. The main findings of this study have some implications for higher education, theory development, measurement, and future research.</p>

ABSTRACT In super-mechanized coffee harvesting system, all operations are performed mechanically. In order to improve the logistics of mechanized agricultural operations, the knowledge on the variables that affect the operational performance can generate models to accurately estimate these parameters. The use of response surface methodology (RSM) allows to verify the influence of different independent variables and the generated response to allow for a great value. This study aimed to verify, using RSM, the influence of speed, mean length of rows and the slope of the areas on the operational performance parameters in different mechanized operations in coffee production, such as: harvest, sweeping and gathering. The results show that the slope directly influences the operational performance of the mechanical harvesting of coffee. The RSM proved to be an important tool to verify the effect of variables on performance parameters, and the generated models showed high significance.

The influence of brick walls to performance of space frame is often being ignored, even though in this condition walls are participating in strengthen the building. Contribution of brick walls to performance of space frame structure with push over method goal is to know how the impact of walls in building structure performance which is being ignored all this time. Building of alumnus association was being modeled in two condition, first condition with the walls were being ignored and second condition with brick walls were modeled as a strut force. Modeling brick walls as strut alumnus association building Syiah Kuala university increased structure performance at this building. Modelling with brick walls as strut in pushover analysis x direction at MTS model minimize the displacement 6,36% from MTS model and increased building ability to accept base shear 301,71% from MTS model. Modelling with brick walls as strut in analysis displacement at Y direction increase 4,38% from MTS model. This thing showed that walls impacted building performance in bearing base shear. Plastification condition structure element at X direction without strut modeling, there is 54 element which had already collapsed (collapse prevention) whereas at building with strut modelling has 6 element which already collapsed (collapsed prevention). Plastification condition element structure at Y direction in building without strut modelling has 14 element which already collapsed (collapsed prevention).

In the context of digital economy, the international trade mode has undergone profound changes, so digital transformation has become the key to the sustainable development of foreign trade enterprises. In this paper, by collecting the data of 27 foreign trade enterprises listed in Shanghai and Shenzhen A shares from 2010 to 2020 and adopting the method of full text identification of enterprise comprehensive financial reports to quantify the intensity of enterprise digital transformation, the influence of digital transformation of foreign trade enterprises on the main business performance and the effect of two mediating variables of internal control and innovation ability of enterprises were studied. The result shows that the digital transformation of foreign trade enterprises has a significant role in promoting their main business performance. From the mechanism of action, digital transformation promotes the overall improvement of the main business performance of enterprises by improving the internal management of enterprises and enhancing the mediating role of enterprise innovation ability. Finally, from the perspectives of government and enterprises, some suggestions were put forward for foreign trade enterprises to choose the development path of digital transformation.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to explore the linkages among emotional intelligence, relational selling behavior and salesperson performance. Although existing research acknowledges the importance of emotional facets in business relationships, the role of emotional intelligence is poorly understood in the literature on salesperson performance. Design/methodology/approach Two data sets from business-to-business salespeople in various industrial and service sectors were analyzed with structural equation modeling. Mediation hypotheses were cross validated through a bootstrapping approach with bias-corrected confidence estimates. Findings The results suggest that two focal types of selling behaviors – namely, adaptive selling and customer-oriented selling – fully mediate the positive relationship between emotional intelligence and salesperson performance. Practical implications The study offers new insights to sales and marketing managers on how individual capabilities (such as emotional intelligence) can be transformed into high sales performance. Originality/value Drawing on the ability view of emotional intelligence and highlighting its conative facet, the current research posits that emotional intelligence affects salesperson performance through relational selling behaviors.

Teacher performance is an essential element in the world of education which is a determinant of the high or low quality of education that occurs in the school environment, this is because teachers are people who often interact with students directly during the teaching process. The purpose of this research is to know how much the influence of teaching experience, school culture and motivation can affect teacher’s performance. The data analysis method is quantitative, Partial Least Squares (PLS) is the data analysis approach used in this study. Partial Least Squares (PLS) is a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) equation model that utilizes component-based structural equation modeling techniques.. The sampling technique used in this research is a Saturated Sample. The samples taken were 71 samples of MTS 1 teachers in Bekasi City. This study uses PLS 3 as an analytical tool and is assisted by the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences or SPSS. The partial test results showed that teaching experience significantly affected teacher performance, school culture had no significant effect on teacher performance, and motivation significantly affected teacher performance. The results of the simultaneous test study showed that teaching experience, school culture, and motivation had a significant effect on teacher performance.

The objective of this study is to examine the role of tangible resources and operational performance (OP) in the financial performance (FP). This study examined the relationship between tangible resources, OP, supply chain, profitability and sustainable FP. Furthermore, this study examined the mediation effect of supply chain and profitability. Indonesian electronic companies were selected in the current study for data collection. Therefore, the population is grounded on the Indonesian electronic companies and data were collected from the employees of these companies. 600 questionnaires were used in this study for data collection and 350 questionnaires were returned to analyze the data. Data analysis was carried out through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Results of the study highlighted that resources are the major role in FP. Particularly, the tangible resources of the company are vital to enhance the performance in financial terms. Tangible resources have a positive effect on OP, supply chain and profitability. Анотація:

This article presents the results of a study of the influence of gear manufacturing errors on the smooth operation of the reducer of the mechanical drive of the oil pumping unit based on a specially developed 3D modeling technique for the formation of kinematic error. This technique consists in constructing a three-dimensional solid-state model of a gear transmission with specified primary errors of the wheels and subsequent modeling of the gear engagement operation. Models of gears are obtained as a result of modeling the tooth-cutting process. This makes it possible to include manufacturing errors in the gear models caused by various technological reasons, such as, for example, fluctuations in the chain links of the machine, the beating of the cutting tool and the workpiece, errors in the cutting edges of the tool, errors in the installation of cutting tools, etc. The simulated graphs of the kinematic error of gears consisting of wheels are given, which contain the main manufacturing errors affecting the smooth operation of the reducer of pumping unit (errors in the lateral profile of the teeth, the error of the gearing step). Purpose This paper aims to examine the extent to which exporter difficulties in evaluating foreign sales agent performance affect export performance, either directly or as mediated by opportunism. Design/methodology/approach In developing the hypotheses, the study integrates transaction cost theory and principal-agent theory. The proposed relationships between the constructs (performance ambiguity, opportunism, and export performance) are examined for a multi-industry sample of Norwegian exporters in their dealings with foreign sales agents. A survey of 410 qualified key informants yielded 101 usable questionnaires – a response rate of 24.6%. Structural equation modeling is used for data analysis and hypothesis testing. Findings The analysis finds support for the hypothesis that sales agent performance ambiguity relates negatively to export performance. While performance ambiguity is positively related to sales agent opportunistic behavior, opportunism does not significantly influence export performance. It seems that the adaptation costs created by the evaluation problem are of greater importance in reducing export performance than the costs created by opportunistic behavior. Research limitations/implications In focusing on the core dimensions of sales agent performance in foreign markets, other factors influencing export performance are not included. The fact that small Norwegian firms dominate the sample, further limits application and generalization of the findings. Hence, results should be interpreted with caution and the study considered as investigative. Nevertheless, the results indicate to export managers and theory potentially deteriorating dimensions in the relationship between exporter and foreign independent sales agent. Originality/value To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this study is the first to examine how performance ambiguity and opportunistic behavior among foreign sales agents affect export performance. By concentrating on basic deteriorating dimensions, the study adds to the few that focus on inhibiting drivers of exporter – foreign–sales–agent relationships.

Анотація:

This study uses structural equation modeling to investigate the influence of management control systems (i.e., quality goal, quality feedback, and quality incentives) on quality performance, the influence of quality performance on both financial performance and customer satisfaction, and the impact of customer satisfaction on financial performance at the business unit level. Overall the results indicate substantial support for our proposed theoretical framework. However, the direct relationship between customer satisfaction and financial performance was insignificant. Further analyses indicate that quality performance mediates the relationship between management control systems and financial performance and customer satisfaction. The implications, limitations, and directions for future research are discussed.
