Paralana is an active, radon-containing hot spring situated in a region of South Australia's Flinders Ranges with a long history of hydrothermal activity. Gas bubbling into the pool is composed of radon (from the radioactive decay of radium), nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and trace helium and hydrogen. The microbial composition of mat and biofilm samples from Paralana was determined using culture-independent 16S rRNA techniques. We have previously demonstrated that the hot spring contains a diverse bacterial community. Here we summarise these findings and report on theArchaeaidentified in Paralana. Archaeal inhabitants include members of the Crenarchaeota and Euryarchaeota kingdoms.

Kripto paralar, kriptografi ve elektronik iletişim ilkelerine dayanan belirli bir sanal para birimi türüdür. Ancak günümüzde sanal bir değer olmaktan çıkıp finans piyasalarının en sıcak gündem konularından biri haline gelmiştir. Kripto paraların eşsiz bir teknolojik yenilik yaratması ve sahip oldukları potansiyelleri ile her geçen gün önemi artmaktadır. Kripto paraların artan önemi de bu paraları ilginç bir araştırma alanı haline getirmektedir. Çalışmanın temel odak noktası kripto paralara kavramsal bir bakış açısı sunarak, ekonomik etkilerinin belirlenmesi ve sistemin geleceğine ilişkin bir perspektif sunulmasıdır. Bu bağlamda kripto paraların geleceğine ilişkin politika yapıcıların endişelerine yönelik politika önerileri getirilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Kripto para birimlerinin avantaj ve dezavantajları incelenerek geliştirilen politika önerilerindeki temel görüş; son derece önemli bir teknolojik inovasyon olan kripto para sistemine işlerlik kazandırılması gerektiği ve bu para birimlerinin ödeme aracı olarak hükümetlerce kabul edilmesinde olumlu görüşlerin artması gerektiği yönündedir.

Kripto paralar, dijital para birimleridir. Merkezi veri tabanı olmayan verileri blok zincir sistemi ile muhafaza ve teyit eden bir algoritmadır. Kripto paralar merkeziyetsiz para, düşük işlem maliyeti ve hızlı fon transferi gibi amaçlarla mevcut para piyasasına alternatif olarak ortaya çıkarken zamanla kripto piyasasının sermaye piyasalarına da alternatif özellikler sergilediği görülmüştür. Bu çalışmada kripto paralarla menkul kıymet borsaları arasındaki volatilite yayılımı incelenmiştir. Çalışmada kripto paraları temsilen bitcoin, etherium, litecoin ve ripple kullanılırken borsaları temsilen S&P500 (ABD), DAX (Almanya), Shanghai (Çin) ve BİST100 (Türkiye) endeksleri kullanılmıştır. Çalışma dönemi 24 Ağustos 2016 – 18 Kasım 2021 şeklinde oluşturulmuş ve volatilite yayılımı Diebold ve Yılmaz (2012) yayılım endeksiyle araştırılmıştır. Çalışmada borsa endeksleriyle kripto para getirileri arasında karşılıklı volatilite yayılımı olduğu görülmüştür. Net volatilite yayılımlarına bakıldığında, S&P500 endeksinin örneklem içinde volatilite yayıcısı olduğu bu özelliği etherium ve bitcoinin izlediği buna karşın Shanghai, BİST100 ve DAX endekslerinin volatilite alıcısı oldukları, bu endeksleri litecoin ve ripplenin izlediği belirlenmiştir. Çalışmada ayrıca COVID-19 salgın döneminde volatilite yayılım endeksinin önemli derecede arttığı, COVID-19 aşılama süreciyle birlikte volatilite yayılım endeksinin tekrar azalmaya başladığı anlaşılmıştır.

Realization of enhanced geothermal systems (EGSs) prescribes the need for novel methods to monitor subsurface fracture connectivity and fluid distribution. Magnetotellurics (MT) is a passive electromagnetic (EM) method sensitive to electrical conductivity contrasts as a function of depth, specifically hot saline fluids in a resistive porous media. In July 2011, an EGS fluid injection at 3.6-km depth near Paralana, South Australia, was monitored by comparing repeated MT surveys before and after hydraulic stimulation. An observable coherent change above measurement error in the MT response was present and causal, in that variations in phase predict variations in apparent resistivity. Phase tensor residuals proved the most useful representation for characterizing alterations in subsurface resistivity structure, whereas resistivity tensor residuals aided in determining the sign and amplitude of resistivity variations. These two tensor representations of the residual MT response suggested fluids migrated toward the northeast of the injection well along an existing fault system trending north-northeast. Forward modeling and concurrent microseismic data support these results, although microseismic data suggest fractures opened along two existing fracture networks trending north-northeast and northeast. This exemplifies the need to use EM methods for monitoring fluid injections due to their sensitivity to conductivity contrasts.

We apply a recently developed approach for inferring in situ fluid pressure changes from induced seismicity observations to datasets from geothermal reservoirs at St. Gallen (Switzerland), Paralana (Australia), and Cooper Basin (Australia), respectively. The approach, referred to as seismohydraulic pressure mapping (SHPM), is based on mapping the seismic moment of induced earthquakes. Relative fluid pressure changes are inferred from the stress deficit of fracture patches slipping repeatedly. The SHPM approach was developed for the specific scenario, where induced earthquakes occur on a single, larger-scale plane with slip being driven by the regional stress field. We demonstrate that this scenario applies to the three datasets under investigation, indicating that geothermal systems in crystalline rock could typically be fault-dominated. For all datasets, individual earthquake source geometry could not be determined from source spectra due to the attenuation of the high signal frequencies. Instead, SHPM was applied assuming a constant stress drop in a circular crack model. Absolute values of inferred pressure change scale with the assumed stress drop while the spatiotemporal pattern of pressure changes remains similar even when varying stress drop by one order of magnitude. We demonstrate how the associated mismapping of seismic moment tends to average out when hypocentres are densely spaced. Our results indicate that SHPM could provide important information for calibrating numerical reservoir models.

The world is facing the energy challenge to over-reliance to fossil-fuels, the development of renewable energy is inevitable. From a clean and economic view, enhanced geothermal system (EGS) provides an effective mean to utilize geothermal energy to generate. Different form the conventionalhydro geothermal, the host rock of EGS is Hot Dry Rock (HDR), which buries deeper with high temperature (more than 180°C). The generationof EGS is promising. The development of EGS can be combined with the tech Power to geothermal energy. Exceed power is supposed to drive fluid working in HDR layer to obtain geothermal energy for generation. The whole article can be divided into three parts. In the first art, evaluation indexes of EGS as well as pilot EGs Projects (e.g. Fenton Hill and Basel) and exiting EGS project (e.g. Paralana and Newberry) are summarized, which points a general impression on EGS site. The dominate indexes are heat flow, geothermal gradient and thermal storage. The second part is focused on the simulation methods and working fluids selection of EGS. A detailed comparison of the main simulation software (e.g. TOUGH2 and FEHM) is carried out. With the respect of working fluid selection, the comparison between water and CO2 is researched and CO2 is a preferred option for EGS development for less fluid loss and less dissolution to HDR. The art of CO2-EGS is introduced clearly in this part. The third part is about the addition consideration of EGS plant operation, it excludes auxiliary plant support and HSE management.

Satoshi Nakamoto tarafından 2008 yılında kaleme alınan “A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System” makale ile hayatımıza giriş yapan sanal para (kripto para) konusu son yıllarda hem yatırımcıların hem de hükümetlerin dikkatini çekmektedir. Dağıtılmış ağlar aracılığıyla merkezileşmeyi yok eden ve herhangi bir otoriteye bağlı kalmadan işlem yapabilmeyi sağlayan kripto paralar, geleneksel para sistemlerinde bulunan aracı gibi dezavantajlı oluşumları aradan kaldıran, maliyetleri düşüren, daha hızlı ve güvenilir ödeme yöntemleri olarak ortaya çıkmaktadır. Finans ve girişimcilik başta olmak üzere paranın kullanım alanı ve kullanım yöntemlerinde çeşitli yenilikler ve kolaylıklar sunan kripto paralar, beraberinde getirmiş olduğu avantaj ve dezavantajları nedeniyle günümüzde anlaşılmaya çalışılan en önemli konu başlığı olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Özellikle son dönemde Çin’in kripto para borsasına işlem yasağı getirmesiyle beraber kripto paraların mevcut durumu, hükümetlerin kripto paralara bakış açılarının neler olacağı ve değişen dünya düzeninde kripto paraların nasıl bir yer tutacağı merak konusu olmaya başlamıştır. AbstractThis is the first description of rare minerals found in paralavas from a recently discovered combustion metamorphic complex in the Choir–Nyalga basin, Central Mongolia. The identified minerals contain strongly variable concentrations of Si, Ti, Mg, Fe2+and Fe3+and most commonly have compositions intermediate in a series from kuratite Ca4Fe102+Ti2O4[Si8Al4O36] and rhönite Ca4(Mg, Fe2+)8Fe23+Ti2O4[Si6Al6O36] to low-Ti kuratite and unnamed Ti-free Fe2+-analogue of rhönite Ca4Fe82+Fe43+O4[Si8Al4O36]. The minerals crystallized in residual Si-Al-K and Si-Al-Ca-Fe immiscible melts after spinel, anorthite–bytownite, melilite, Al-clinopyroxene ± Mg-Fe olivine, together with Fe3+-bearing hercynite, Ca-rich fayalite, kirschsteinite, pyrrhotite ± native iron, wüstite, magnetite, celsian, hyalophane, Ba-orthoclase and fresnoite, but before nepheline± kalsilite, and later sulfates, carbonates, an unidentified 'X-mineral' close to Al- and Fe-rich tobermorite and goethite. Micro-Raman spectroscopy of kuratite shows five bands near 133–155 (strong), 399–401, 545–566, 684–693 (strongest) and 828–839 cm–1.The kuratite-bearing Nyalga paralavas have bulk compositions with MgO/(MgO+FeO+Fe2O3), mol.% ∼0.5 and a CIPW normative ratio of Ne/(Ne+Lc) = 0.23–0.76. Minerals of the rhönite–kuratite series formed during paralava crystallization at ∼1100°C.The diversity of the paralava mineral assemblages might result from local composition variations of Ca-rich silica-undersaturated melts derived from Fe-bearing carbonate-silicate sediments which were affected by nearby coal combustion sources at reducing conditions (IW-WM-QFM buffers) and at a nearly atmospheric pressure.

O presente texto desenvolve o conceito de materialismo dialético no pensamento de Slavoj Žižek radicalizando o aspecto da finitude humana em finitude ontológica. Para Žižek, isso corresponde à passagem de Kant a Hegel. Se, para Kant, a finitude está restrita à finitude humana mediada pelos limites transcendentais da razão pura, em Hegel essa finitude é transferida para a esfera ontológica. Nesse sentido, é preciso conceber as antinomias kantianas não como uma condição da própria subjetividade finita – no momento em que esta lida com o caráter dialético da razão – mas como uma limitação da própria realidade em si. Por essa razão, Žižek tende a se afastar da leitura idealista de Hegel para trazer à tona seu lado materialista – oculto ao olhar de uma certa tradição. Assim, o propósito da filosofia hegeliana, de acordo com Žižek, não consiste em superar Kant, mas apenas radicalizá-lo por meio de uma torção dialética puramente formal.

Bu çalışmada en yüksek arza ve işlem hacmine sahip olan 10 adet kripto parada finansal balon varlığı araştırılmıştır. Bunlar; Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether, USD Coin, BNB, Ripple, Binance USD, Cardano, Solana ve Dogecoin’dir. Her bir değişkenin inceleme aralığı farklılık göstermektedir. İncelemeler günlük frekanslı serilerle yapılmıştır ve araştırmada Genelleştirilmiş Sub-ADF (GSADF) testi kullanılmıştır. Analiz sonuçlarına göre Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether, BNB, Ripple ve Solana serilerinde finansal balon bulgusuna rastlanmıştır. Bu değişkenler içerisinde en fazla finansal balonun olduğu değişken Bitcoin’dir. GSADF incelemesi sonuçlarında Bitcoin’de inceleme dönemi bazında 46 adet finansal balon olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bununla birlikte incelenen seriler içerisinde finansal balonlarda en fazla süre 104 gündür ve bu balon Bitcoin’de yaşanmıştır. En az finansal balonun meydana geldiği değişken ise Ripple’dır. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlar finansal risk perspektifinden değerlendirilmiştir.

The concept of legal responsibility (liability) implies a violation of the dispositive norm and subjecting the offender to envisaged sanctions. Legal responsibility is based on three key elements: the subject, the object, and the legal grounds of responsibility. The legal state (Rechtsstaat) is inconceivable without responsibility, which is present in all areas of law. In constitutional law, it is reflected in the legal and political responsibility of the state authorities. Civil and criminal liability differ in terms of sanctions. In civil law, there is subjective liability based on culpability and objective (strict) liability. As a consequence of committing a crime, criminal liability includes two elements: sanity and guilt. While guilt is a subjective element of a crime which cannot be avoided, criminal liability can be avoided. According to Kelsen, the subject of legal responsibility and the legal obligation are equivalent. He distinguishes between subjective liability based on culpability and absolute (objective) liability. This distinction rests on the individualistic ideal of justice. Logically, the sanctions also differ in these two cases. Kelsen also recognizes collective responsibility (especially of legal entities), which is always absolute. In civil law, the subject of obligation and the subject of liability correspond. Živanović provides detailed accounts on the concepts of delict, delinquent, and sanction. According to Živanović, a delict (in all branches of law) is a violation or endangerment of a subjective right. A delinquent, i.e. the infringer of legal norms, is the object of sanction. In analyzing the concept of sanction, he identifies seven distinctive elements of a sanction. The comparison of Kelsen and Živanovic's conceptions of legal responsibility yields notable results. Both authors were aware of many aspects of legal responsibility. In spite of the obvious terminological differences, they essentially discuss the same legal issues. When observed jointly, these two authors provide a wide-branching "scheme" of both legal responsibility in general and area-specific liability in particular.

Â Kegiatan ini dilakukan di Desa Tanjung Seteko Kabupaten Ogan Ilir. Penanaman sayuran organik di lahan sempit juga masih memungkinkan, salah satu caranya dengan media paralon. Media paralon dianggap cukup efektif untuk penanaman sayuran organik karena dapat memperindah pekarangan. Media paralon ini dapat dibuat secara vertikal dan horizontal. Selain itu bisa juga digantung dan diletakkan sesuai keindahan. Adapun cara pembuatan media paralon terdiri dari: 1) Pipa yang panjang dipotong menjadi 3 bagian, 2) lalu tandai dengan spidol tarik garis sepanjang 2 cm, 3) Lalu panaskan bagian yang akan dibuat lubang pada paralon, 4) Kemudian tekan bagian tersebut agak lama, 5) Buat lubang pada tutup (dop) agar air bisa keluar, 6) Siapkan media tanam, 7) baru paralon bisa digunakan.

The genus has a Bassiandistribution with some extension into the woodlands of the semi-arid zone. Most species occur in south-eastern Australia with six species in Tasmania. Known larvae feed on Eucalyptus, especially trees of the subgenus Monocalyptus, and one species is an occasionalforest pest.

Abstract: Architecture as one of the fields that cannot be separated from how to process space is very appropriate in supporting the Eco Village program because the conception of space in the field of architecture has a three-dimensional conception. Through understanding the concept of three-dimensional space with limited land owned by each citizen does not mean that the community cannot cultivate their land into productive land, namely making agricultural land (agriculture). This makes observers interested in researching villages that have long been built, but are now blocked by housing that was once an empty space (in this case rice fields) in Bojongsoang Village, Bojongsoang District, Bandung Regency as a form of observer participation in developing an urban farming approach to achieving sustainability (sustainable). The purpose of this study was to find out which Eco Village models exist in the region Paralon Village as an Eco-Architecture concept in supporting the development of Sustainable City, as one of the eco-architecture models in urban villages by utilizing the land and space of each community member. Keywords: Eco Village; Sustainable City; Settelment Abstrak: Arsitektur sebagai salah satu bidang yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dari cara mengolah ruang sangat tepat dalam mendukung program Eco Village karena konsepsi ruang dalam bidang arsitektur memiliki konsepsi tiga dimensi. Melalui pemahaman konsep ruang tiga dimensi dengan lahan terbatas yang dimiliki oleh setiap warga negara tidak berarti bahwa masyarakat tidak dapat mengolah lahan mereka menjadi lahan produktif, yaitu membuat lahan pertanian (pertanian).Hal ini membuat para pengamat tertarik meneliti desa-desa yang telah lama dibangun, tetapi sekarang dihambat oleh perumahan yang dulunya merupakan ruang kosong (dalam hal ini sawah) di Desa Bojongsoang, Kabupaten Bojongsoang, Kabupaten Bandung sebagai bentuk partisipasi pengamat dalam mengembangkan suatu pendekatan urban farming untuk mencapai keberlanjutan (sustainable).Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui model Eco Village yang ada di wilayah Desa Paralon sebagai konsep Eco-Architecture dalam mendukung pengembangan Kota Berkelanjutan, sebagai salah satu model eco-architecture di desa-desa perkotaan dengan memanfaatkan lahan dan ruang dari setiap anggota komunitas.Kata kunci: Desa Ramah Lingkungan; Kota Berkelanjutan; Permukiman
