This study investigated young adults’ attitudes towards homosexuality and perceptions of gay marketing based on data acquired through a survey questionnaire that included a total of 64 items on demographics and life experiences, attitude towards homosexuality and perceptions of gay marketing administered to 402 students at a private university in Turkey of both sexes aged 18 to 28. Findings suggest that young adults hold negative attitudes towards homosexuality, ranging from moderately negative to strongly negative, and generally with no significant differences by the respondents’ parents’ education, respondents’ political view or acquaintance with any homosexual person or level of exposure to gay themed advertisements. Female respondents hold slightly more negative attitudes towards homosexuality than male respondents do. A factor analytic method revealed three major components of young adults’ perceptions of gay marketing which could be named subjective perceptions (SP), perceptions of marketing strategies (MS) and opinion on moral consequences (MC). Results are discussed with the limitations of the study, and implications for marketers.

Diverse friendships offer many benefits for individuals and for intergroup relations, yet similarity is a powerful predictor of attraction and relationship formation. The current study examined how beliefs about the value of diversity relate to friendship choices. Naturally occurring dyads ( N = 552) were recruited from 10 college campus and community samples varying in size and racial heterogeneity. A questionnaire assessed dyad members’ beliefs about the value of diversity (valuing diversity), 10 social and political attitudes, and 4 social identity categories (race/ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, nationality). Multilevel models were estimated to examine dyad-level valuing diversity, community size, and community racial heterogeneity as predictors of diverse friendships. Valuing diversity was a significant predictor of diverse friendships; valuing diversity increased the likelihood that dyad members were diverse in race, religion, and sexual orientation but not in nationality or attitudes. The effect of valuing diversity varied according to community size and racial heterogeneity. Valuing diversity increased the likelihood of racially diverse friendships more in communities high compared to low in racial heterogeneity, and increased religiously diverse friendships more in smaller compared to larger communities. Valuing diversity was associated with greater attitude similarity in larger communities but was unrelated to attitude similarity in smaller communities.

The study investigates the mediating role of entrepreneurial opportunity recognition on the relationship between entrepreneurial attitude and entrepreneurial intention among university students in Ghana. A structured questionnaire was administered to 500 university students in Ghana, and the data collected was analyzed using Amos. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to assess the hypothesized paths. The result indicated that entrepreneurial attitude had a substantial positive impact on both entrepreneurial intention and opportunity recognition among university students in Ghana. The result further indicated that entrepreneurial opportunity recognition positively affected university students' entrepreneurial intention. The study further illuminated that entrepreneurial opportunity recognition mediated the relationship between entrepreneurial attitude and entrepreneurial intention. This implies that an entrepreneurial attitude increases the chances of opportunity recognition and self-employment propensity in Ghana. The study suggests that students should cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset and develop a healthy attitude toward entrepreneurship, enhancing the chances of identifying and pursuing business opportunities. The study contributes to the literature by focusing on and highlighting innate attributes that can possibly contribute to self-employment propensity.

Internship is a profession-oriented learning technique translating the knowledge into professional skills. It helps to equip future human resources with operational skills and enhanced social relationship. Satisfaction through internship program develops different attitudes which may lead loyalty, job commitment, extended efforts, etc. As it provides more independence and opportunity of social networking, it may change the attitude of the person. This piece of research is intended to estimate the level of satisfaction among the hotel management students and explore their attitude towards their decision regarding future profession. Structured questionnaire prepared both in English and Nepali was used to collect the response. Convenient as well as snow ball sampling are used as sampling techniques. Descriptive analytical tools are used to draw the conclusion. This study concludes that majority of the students are satisfied from the intern opportunity and hence they wish to join hotel industry. This study has observed low but positive and significant relationship with satisfaction and intention of changing attitude. This study has also explored the fact that there no gender influence in satisfaction level of the intern students but male students are more prone to change on behavioural intention. Students are positive regarding their career choice but are found of developing negative attitude towards college management as well as in-college activities.

Customer experience is influenced by the total purchasing decision process starting at the need recognition and ending at the post-purchasing stage. The IT development of the retail industry provides an opportunity and at the same time forces retailers to implement multi-channel strategies and give their consumers the opportunity to use the channels that best suit their needs at a given time for an enhanced shopping experience. The purpose of the study was to examine how Hungarian respondents’ purchasing attitude influences channel usage preference (instore, online big- and small screen) at different stages of customer journey when purchasing high-value electronic devices. For this purpose, the paper first identified homogenous respondent groups based on purchasing attitude factors, then explored the differences in the channel preference patterns at different stages of the purchasing process in customer groups separated by purchasing attitude. The purchasing attitude was measured using Likert scale in 7 priori dimensions including need of physical touch, impulsiveness, innovativeness, price and brand consciousness, convenience, and shopping experience. The research analyses collected data by quantitative online survey of 415 domestic respondents. The examined sample showed web-rooming behavior pattern and the homogeneous groups identified based on the purchasing attitudes of our respondents differed significantly in their channel usage preferences.

The aim of this study is to examine the attitude levels of students receiving education at university level towards sport with regard to certain variables. The research was designed with the scanning model. A “sport attitudes scale” was applied to a total of 547 students, selected by random sampling method, who were studying at Balikesir University.The research findings revealed that the participants’ attitude levels regarding sport were at a “high attitude” level, with an average of 3.70±058. It was determined that participants who did sport regularly had a higher attitude level. It was also determined that according to the education department variable, students receiving sports education together with those in the economics faculty had higher attitude levels. As for the grade level variable, it was revealed that the lowest attitude level belonged to third-grade students.Consequently, with the aim of increasing university students’ attitude levels regarding sport, it is recommended that they be given the opportunity to do more sport and that they be given guidance in this direction.

This paper's job attitude and educational attainment try to identify the present condition in the context of job attitude and educational attainment. The purpose of this study is based on the relationship between qualification and job performance. Generally, job attitude is built on through career development, professional identity, job satisfaction job performance, and the job description which are concerned with the total attitudes towards the various aspects of the working condition of individual perception for holistic index. However, attitudes do not cause variation in attainment but opportunity cost, salary, and policies, and practices of company and government continue to be effective. This paper includes a theoretical concept behind job satisfaction which is the human relation theory of George Elton Mayo and the theory of equity of Stacy Adams. This paper is a review-based paper based on different related research article theories and books. To fulfill the aims of the study using a qualitative descriptive method to establish a relationship between the job attitude and education attainment. The main issue of this paper focuses on the working class and people's attitude towards the attainment of jobs and its utilization.

The objectives of this study are to describe the practice of Science Education (IPA) learning at Islamic Elementary School (MI) and to develop the model based on Science Technology and Society (STS/STM) for building certain scientific attitudes. The qualitative approach was employed by searching data on the implementation of IPA learning through direct observation. The data are then analyzed descriptively. The results show that: 1) Science Education learning model based on Science Technology and Society gives students opportunity to conduct IPA process correctly and apply mutual relationship between IPA concept, technological progress, and life in society through five stages: invitation, exploration, explanation, consolidation of concepts or follow-up, and assessment; 2) Science Education learning model based on Science Technology and Society can build a scientific attitude and behavior of students to be sensitive, have a curiosity attitude, attitudes of proof, flexible attitude, critical attitude, caring attitude towards living creatures and environment, objective, honest, open, and cooperative. To strengthen and solidify the building process of this scientific attitude, it is conducted with a variety of relevant madrasa (school) activities through the habituation of activities beyond programmed science learning which include: building clean living habits in the madrasa environment; building park; performing reforestation; and fostering environmental sensitivity through community service programs in the village environment.

This article explores the impact of risk attitude on the assessment of project uncertainty encompassing both risk and opportunity and expected project performance. A survey was conducted involving project risk management experts from the construction industry, and the data collected were analyzed using various statistical techniques. The findings reveal that the impact of risk attitude significantly varies across multiple dimensions of project uncertainty and project performance. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, the association between risk attitude and project uncertainty and expected performance assessments has never been explored while capturing multiple dimensions of project uncertainty and performance.

The relevance of the topic depends on the particular importance of asocial attitude diagnosing for the educational process in connection with the cyberspace development and the organization of a digital educational environment. The purpose of the article is a description of a diagnosis method of students’ social attitudes for teaching purposes. The method materials: the opportunities of using of metaphorical cards of association for the diagnosis of peculiar properties of students’ social attitudes in relation to five key objects: network security, cooperation, creativity, self-determination, continuing education. The authors offer the MAK operation algorithms as a way ofthesocial attitude diagnosing and the technology of a result interpretation. Conclusions and areas of application: the diagnosis gives the opportunity to analyze the level of a social attitude formation based on a three-pillar model (cognitive, affective, connotative components), the produced results can be used to implement the Training and Universal Educational Actions Development Program.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to explore and compare the perceptions of workers in the tourism industry in Thailand in foreign-owned and locally owned firms to provide an underrepresented perspective in the debate over whether international trade and tourism primarily exploits workers or provides valuable opportunities. Design/methodology/approach A matched-pairs comparative analysis was used. Findings Workers at foreign-owned companies showed slightly, although statistically insignificant, more positive attitudes toward tourism as a means of creating opportunities for themselves. Workers in foreign-owned companies showed a statistically significant more positive attitude toward the impact of tourism on the country. It appears the vast majority of the workers interviewed did not feel exploited, but empowered by opportunities to engage in employment in the tourism industry. Research limitations/implications The use of self-reported measures has been acknowledged to be problematic and the size and composition of the sample limit the ability to generalize the findings to a broader population. Practical implications Understanding the perspectives of the workers in an industry can be useful in policy development and implementing corporate social responsibility programs. The results suggest workers would support programs which encourage increases in tourism and foreign investment in the industry. Social implications reflect the perceptions of an under-represented segment of society. Originality/value The intention is to help bring into the debate the perspectives of individuals who are most directly affected by these activities.

Background: Systematic contact with the natural environment seems to increase the level of human sensitivity to ecological problems. The purpose of the study was to assess the impact of physical activity outdoors in nature as part of school physical education on the level of environmental attitudes. Method: 220 students participated in an experimental study. The experimental group, which did exercise usually in open spaces, included 103 students. The control group, which exercised inside school, consisted of 117 students. The study period lasted two years and involved the fifth and sixth form of primary school. The authors used the part relating to attitudes in the Children's Environmental Attitude and Knowledge Scale CHEAKS in the study. Results: The appearance of eight statistically significant differences in the field of environmental attitudes in the final study in favor of the group having outdoor physical education lessons proves the cognitively and visually stimulating role of the natural environment of physically active people. The location of physical education lessons turned out to be a much stronger condition for positive environmental attitudes than gender, place of residence, parents' education level, and subjective assessment of the financial satisfaction level. Conclusion: These results are an incentive to further develop the young generation’s contact with nature through outdoor physical education lessons.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to examine the extent to which a cause-brand alliance (CBA) leads to improved attitude toward cause-brand alliance, which in turn leads to improved brand identification. Design/methodology/approach The approach uses a 2 × 2 × 2 between-subjects experimental design to examine the interaction effect of the brand ally, the non-profit ally, and the perception of cause controversy on a customer’s attitude toward the CBA, which in turn affects identification with the brand ally. Findings On average, customers’ perception of cause controversy influences attitude toward the CBA and subsequently the level of identification with the brand ally. When a non-profit organization is connected to a controversial issue, managerial options for building a successful CBA are more limited than when the non-profit is noncontroversial. Research limitations/implications We contribute to consumer learning theory in the context of CBA research by identifying an important boundary condition – perceived cause controversy. Perceived cause controversy impedes the customer’s learning about partners in CBA. Moreover, fit and cue consistency are separate constructs. Practical implications CBAs help build customer brand identification. Brand managers must include the customer’s perceived cause controversy, the ally’s unique information, and the customer’s attitude toward the nonprofit in the decision calculus. Brands have an opportunity to demonstrate corporate social responsibility and build identification by helping a less well-established nonprofit to build positive customer attitudes. If the non-profit is linked to controversy, this opportunity is constrained. Originality/value A boundary condition-perceived cause controversy influences how the partners in a CBA differentially influence the customer’s attitude toward the CBA and, ultimately, brand identification.

Startups and established firms in service sectors mostly fall into the supplier dominated or information intensive categories of Pavitt’s taxonomy. Entrepreneurs in these categories are not isolated from the technological environment because they can also be innovative (at least) by adopting technologies from outside. However, it has hardly been studied whether the entrepreneurial intention of pre-entrepreneurs in service sectors can be influenced by how they perceive technological environment. In this paper, using the theory of the planned behavior and technology regime, we examined the role of pre-entrepreneurs’ perception of the technology regime (opportunity, accessibility, and cumulativeness) on the formation of entrepreneurial intention in Korean service sectors. The results show that pre-entrepreneurs’ perception of the technology regime influences entrepreneurial intention via personal attitude and perceived behavioral control. Opportunity influenced personal attitude and subjective norm; accessibility influenced personal attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control; and cumulativeness influenced personal attitude and perceived behavioral control. Personal attitude and perceived behavioral control influenced entrepreneurial intention.

Numerous research findings have applauded the integration of technology in the classroom especially in mathematic to develops positive attitudes. The advancements in technology may provide a better opportunity to impact mathematical literacy and skills on young learners. Perhaps, attitudes towards mathematics are declining in recent years. The study aimed to enhance the students attitude toward learning mathematics by using games app embedded in computer software used as an instrument to teach the subject. A total of ninety-one primary school students drawn from different primary schools in the Kogi state participated in the study. The study adopted a quasi-experimental pre-test, post-test study design. The result revealed that the computer game influenced the respondents attitude towards mathematics at MD = 13.65 (95% CI, 8.91 to 16.17), t (88) = 6.328, p = .001. Thus, the study concludes that computer game is an indispensable tool in impacting positive attitudes towards mathematics, especially among the primary school students. The recommendations are discussed.

Ambivalence, the simultaneous experience of both positive and negative feelings about one and the same attitude object, has been investigated within psychological attitude research for decades. Ambivalence is interpreted as an attitudinal conflict with distinct affective, behavioral, and cognitive consequences. In social psychological research, it has been shown that ambivalence is sometimes confused with neutrality due to the use of measures that cannot distinguish between neutrality and ambivalence. Likewise, in social robotics research the attitudes of users are often characterized as neutral. We assume that this is due to the fact that existing research regarding attitudes towards robots lacks the opportunity to measure ambivalence. In the current experiment (N = 45), we show that a neutral and a robot stimulus were evaluated equivalently when using a bipolar item, but evaluations differed greatly regarding self-reported ambivalence and arousal. This points to attitudes towards robots being in fact highly ambivalent, although they might appear neutral depending on the measurement method. To gain valid insights into people’s attitudes towards robots, positive and negative evaluations of robots should be measured separately, providing participants with measures to express evaluative conflict instead of administering bipolar items. Acknowledging the role of ambivalence in attitude research focusing on robots has the potential to deepen our understanding of users’ attitudes and their potential evaluative conflicts, and thus improve predictions of behavior from attitudes towards robots.

The article studies the category of risk caused by uncertainty of external and internal environment, which exists in the work of any organization during its life cycle. The author analyzes the hypothesis that understanding risk not only as a threat but also as an opportunity has a great potential for the development of the enterprise. The idea and use of the uncertainty factor are discussed from the point of view of prospects of raising the organization efficiency. Specific features of the process of decision-making in uncertainty conditions are identified. Special attention is paid to the impact of subjective parameters on the process of risk management, including individual characteristics of people responsible for decision -making in conditions of risk, such as the desire to reach success and wish to avoid failure, personal attitude to risk, inclination to team or individual decision-making, a degree of responsibility, etc. In conclusion the author proves the idea that risk itself is not a hazard for the organization but an assessment of possibility to attain the result corresponding to the goal, including a positive one.

Abstract Researchers and Institutional Review Board (IRB) members' attitudes influence scientific knowledge about individuals with intellectual disability. We recruited 260 intellectual disability researchers and IRB members to develop a measure of attitudes toward the research participation of adults with intellectual disability, the Participation in Research Attitude Scale. Findings suggest three conceptual domains: Opportunity and Choice, Help in Decision Making, and Beneficence. We also examined individual differences in attitudes and the relationships between general and specific attitudes. In general, intellectual disability researchers and those with closer relationships to individuals with disabilities had attitudes consistent with disability-rights principles. Some dimensions of global attitudes toward adults with intellectual disability predicted more specific attitudes toward their research participation. Implications are discussed.

ABSTRACT Context: Majority of health professionals have unfavorable attitudes towards patients presenting with self‑harm, which further compromises their willingness and outcome of care. Aims: To assess the nursing students’ attitudes toward suicide attempters. Settings and Design: Cross‑sectional study was conducted in two nursing colleges of north India. Material and Methods: Three hundred and eight nursing students were recruited through total enumeration method from May to June 2012. ‘Suicide opinion questionnaire’ was administered to assess their attitudes towards suicide attempters. Statistical Analysis Used: Descriptive statistics was employed with Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 14.0 for Windows. Results: Majority were single females, from urban locality, with the mean age of 20 years. Only minority had previous exposure to suicide prevention programs and management of such cases. Majority of students agreed for mental illness, disturbed family life, and depression as major push to attempt suicide. They held favorable attitude for half of the attitudinal statement, but they were uncertain for rest half of the statements. Conclusions: They generally had favorable attitude towards suicide attempters. Their uncertain response highlights the need for enhancing educational exposure of nursing students and new staff at the earliest opportunity, to carve their favorable attitude towards patients presenting with self‑harm.

People living with physical challenges constitutes part of the larger society and should be given the inclusive opportunity to engage fully in societal activities. The plight of persons with disabilities in Kogi State, Nigeria, has attracted increasing concern over the years. Thus, the present study aimed to examine the variations in attitude towards the person with physical challenges in Kogi State based on educational level. The study adopted a cross-sectional research design. One hundred and seventeen (n=117) participants randomly pooled from different locations in the Kogi State, Nigeria, participated in the study. The participants completed a self-report measure of the modified version of the Attitudes towards Disabled Persons (SADP) Scale. The result revealed that the participants primarily showed positive attitudes towards persons with physical challenges despite their educational level. Also, the result of the simple linear regression conducted to test the hypothesis revealed that educational level does not predict attitude towards the physically challenged.

Physical education (PE) lessons offer an excellent opportunity to encourage participation and learning for students with and without disabilities. However, there are still barriers that prevent educative inclusion (EI) from being achieved, with negative attitudes being one of the major issues. This study aimed to explore students without disabilities’ attitudes toward their peers with disabilities in the second stage of Primary Education, examining possible differences according to sex (male or female) and school location (urban or rural). The Scale of Attitudes toward Students with Disabilities in Physical Education–Primary Education (SASDPE-PE), a four-item instrument with a five-point Likert scale ranging from 1 (strongly disagree) to 5 (strongly agree), was administered to 545 Spanish students aged 9 to 12 years old. The results revealed that girls and students from rural schools showed more positive attitudes toward their peers with disabilities during the PE lessons; differences were significant in both cases. Thus, according to our findings, the SASDPE-PE is a practical tool to assess attitudes, even after an attitude-change programme. Furthermore, PE attitude-change programmes should be implemented, especially considering male students and those enrolled in urban schools.

Powers shortages is rampant in Africa of which Nigeria is not an exception and solar technology as a viable alternative source of electricity which would mitigate this problem has meted slow adoption. This study aimed to explore the impact of mindset/attitude from Theory of planned behavior (TPB), Disruptive Innovation Theory (DIA), awareness-knowledge, opportunity and barrier over managers (owners) of MSMEs intention to adopt solar technology for their businesses. A questionnaire was administrated to collect data from a sample of 400 managers (owners) of MSMEs respondents’ in Lagos State, Nigeria. A multivariate technique was applied to test the hypotheses using Structural Equation Modeling (AMOS-23). The findings showed that mindset/attitude, (DIA) and opportunity have a significant impact on solar technology intention, however, awareness-knowledge and barrier were not significant. These independent variables explained 71% variance of the dependent variable intention. In addition, DIA was found to have a significant impact on opportunity, barrier and mindset/attitude however, barrier on mindset/attitude was not significant. These findings not only provide evidence for MSMEs strategic planning to ensure sustainable business growth for their businesses but also provide new knowledge to policy and decision makers, the manufacturing & installation (suppliers) companies and other stakeholders for renewable energy as a part of long term sustainable development.

Multimedia teaching materials are widely applied in various disciplines. More resources are provided by authorities to encourage elementary school teachers to use them. The resources provide an opportunity for teachers to share teaching resources for students. In this study, the technology acceptance model (TAM) was used as the basic model to explore the effects of the information technology (IT) environment on the perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and attitude towards using multimedia, and the relevance and influence of these attitudes on behavioral intention. There are 2317 teachers in Chiayi county, and 460 participants were selected by stratified random sampling. The results showed that the ease of use of the multimedia material would enhance the intention to use. The attitude toward use also influences the intention to use.

Two sessions of collaborative teaching run by different professor dyads were studied over two 10-week quarters at a large public university. Multiple sources of data were collected. Ultimately, modelling collaboration and a positive attitude toward disability, collaboration, and inclusion provided professors an opportunity to help guide and shape pre-service teachers’ attitudes.

An increase in infectious and non-communicable diseases is caused by a bad lifestyle at a young age. And much is needed enough knowledge and good attitude as early as possible to prevent the occurrence of infectious or non-communicable diseases. The study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge, aatitudes and healthy lifestyle behaviors of third-level female students of the Diploma III in Midwifery University MH Thamrin East Jakarta. This study used a cross-sectional design that was carried out for two months in the study program at Midwifery University MH Thamrin East Jakarta. Based on the result of the bivariate analysis test between the variables of knowledge with healthy lifestyle behaviors, the value of p=0,43 and OR = 1,75 shows that there is no relationship between knowledge and healthy lifestyle behavior. Atttitudes with healthy lifestyle behaviors indicate that positive attitudes have a healthy lifestyle that is higher by 90.7% (49 respondents) compored to negative attitudes have a 4 times chance of having a healthy lifestyle compared to respondents with negative attitudes. Based on the result and discussion it can be concluded that respondents with good knowledge have 2 times the opportunity to have a healthy lifestyle compared with respondents with less knowledge and respondents with a positive attitude have a 4.2 times chance of having a healthy lifestyle compared to respondents with a negative attitude

Organ donation provides a life-saving opportunity for patients with organ failure. China, like most countries, is faced with organ shortages. Understanding public opinion regarding organ donation in China is critical to ensure an increased donation rate. Our study explored public concerns and attitudes toward organ donation, factors involved, and how the public pays attention to organ donation. Sixteen million users’ public information (i.e. gender, age, and geographic information) and posts from January 2017 to December 2017 were collected from Weibo, a social media platform. Of these, 1755 posts related to organ donation were included in the analysis. We categorized the posts and coded the users’ attitudes toward organ donation and the associations between the demographics. The most popular posts mentioning organ donation were “publicly expressing the willingness to donate organs.” Furthermore, 87.62% of posts exhibited a positive attitude toward organ donation, whereas only 7.44% exhibited a negative attitude. Most positive posts were “saluting the organ donors,” and most negative posts involved “fear of the family’s passive medical decision.” There was no significant gender difference in the users’ attitudes, but older people generally had a more negative attitude. Users with negative attitudes mainly distrust the medical system and are worried that the donated organs may be used in improper trading. Social media may be an important channel for promoting organ donation activities, and it is important to popularize scientific knowledge related to organ donation in order to eliminate the public’s misunderstanding of organ donation and transplantation.

This study aims to examine the motivational factors of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) entrepreneurs to become Halalpreneurs based on their religiosity, attitude (awareness of halalentrepreneurship, intrinsic motivation, effort to seek out opportunity, creativity and motivation, honesty and integrity, risk-taking attitude, relative advantage and perceived desirability), subjective norm (family support and peer influence) and perceived behavioral control (perceived feasibility, government support). Data were collected from 239 Muslim entrepreneurs who run their MSMEs. Data were then analyzed using descriptive analysis and partial least square in SmartPLS 3.0. From the result, awareness of halalpreneurship, intrinsic motivation, effort to seek out opportunity, relative advantage, perceived desirability, family support, and perceived feasibility positively are found to influence halalpreneurial propensity significantly. Meanwhile, creativity and innovation, honesty and integrity, perceived governmental support, peers influence, risk-taking attitude, and religiosity are not significant in influencing the MSMEs entrepreneur's halalpreneurial propensity.

Understanding the socio-cultural background and how entrepreneurs perceive and respond to unfavourable environmental conditions is required when investigating the relationship between resilience, sustainability, and entrepreneurship from the perspective of an indigenous community. Taking into the account of theory of planned behaviour, the aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between characteristics of sustainable attitude, sustainability norms, sustainability behaviours, and opportunity recognition with indigenous entrepreneurs' adaptive resilienceThe research design employed in this study was cross-sectional and correlational. The most effective approach to use is a quantitative approach to evaluate the impact of sustainable attitudes, sustainability norms, sustainability behaviours, and opportunity recognition on indigenous entrepreneurs' adaptive resilience. A questionnaire survey of 500 respondents from Malaysia's indigenous community was used to gather data. The findings of this study show that most indigenous groups believe that sustainability in terms of attitudes, behaviour, and opportunity recognition has increased the aim of moving forward in entrepreneurs' adaptive resilience as compared to sustainability norms. Given that resilience is a malleable competency and that there is a positive relationship between sustainable behaviour and resilience, institutional actions are required to reinforce the social esteem of the entrepreneur among indigenous community to cope with environment challenges.

In searching for effective ways to combine science/chemical education with EE/ESD, new didactic materials were designed and produced focussing on biogeochemical cycles and their connection to sustainable development. The materials were experimentally applied in 16 Greek schools under the newly introduced compulsory “school project” which offers an excellent opportunity for the development of EE/ESD projects. The effectiveness of the intervention was assessed on the basis of questionnaires including knowledge and attitude questions and considering several factors (students' performance/grades, sex, previous participation in EE/ESD programmes, parents' educational level, etc.). The results demonstrated a positive impact on students' knowledge not only on biogeochemical cycles, but also on aspects related to sustainable development. Similarly, several components of students' attitudes vis a vis the environment and sustainable development (e.g. “Action commitment”, “Efficacy perception of personal action” and “Sustainable orientation of the positive attitude towards the environment”) were influenced positively.

This type of research was analyzed using descriptive qualitative research methods with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The findings of this study are that the role of a working mother in forming an independent attitude in early childhood education in Raudhatul Athfal (RA) Nurul Huda Banjar City is the role of a motivator, supervisor, educator, counselor, and role model. The most appropriate parenting pattern applied by working mothers in shaping children's independent attitudes is democratic parenting. The implication of this research is that the factors that support the formation of independent attitudes of children by working mothers in Raudhatul Athfal (RA) Nurul Huda Banjar City during the COVID-19 pandemic include: environment, love and affection, and parenting. While the inhibiting factors are: the child's mood, inadequate parenting, peers or playmates, time and opportunity. The practical implication of this research is that the role of a working mother can form an independent attitude for early childhood.. </em><em></em></p>

The main objective of this study is to evaluate the factors that affect users’ satisfaction of the ABSHR system in Saudi Arabia. An in-depth study was conducted by using qualitative and quantitative approaches. Two questionnaires were used in this study. The first questionnaire was used to evaluate the users’ satisfaction with ABSHR system with a sample of 676 respondents, who are the actual ABSHR system actual users. It was designed to elicit information about the relationship of the four dimensions that determine the attitudes toward ABSHR use, and it was found that benefits, cost, risk, and opportunity have a significant positive relationship with the users’ satisfaction. Generally, the results also showed that the degree of acceptance of the ABSHR system is at a good level. Benefits, cost, opportunity, and customer satisfaction are at a good level according to users’ responses. Whereas, risk factor is at an acceptance level. The demographic characteristics variance was conducted and it was found that there are no statistically significant differences except gender with risk and opportunity. The second questionnaire evaluated the ABSHR system of employees’ attitudes toward electronic systems by obtaining their opinions. Therefore, data were obtained from 51 respondents. The results showed that the relative advantage, complexity, compatibility, trialability, and observability have a significant positive relationship with the attitude toward electronic systems. The result also showed that the degree of acceptance, in general, of the ABSHR system is at a very good level with relative advantage, complexity, observability, and attitude toward electronic systems according to employees’ responses. Whereas, compatibility and triability factors are at an excellent level of acceptance. Employees’ demographic information was tested and found that education and experience have no statistically significant differences, while age and job title have statistically significant differences. The study recommended to keep the ABSHR e-services system always updated to improve the users’ satisfaction in addition, to providing new e-services and improving the existing ones.

Zoos provide an opportunity for individuals to connect with nature. When individuals feel connected to nature, they are more likely to have positive attitudes toward the environment and to donate to pro-environmental causes. The purpose of the current study was to test the effectiveness of employing a “Pay-What-You-Want” (PWYW) pricing model in a not-for-profit zoo environment. We were interested in financial and nonfinancial outcomes of asking participants to determine their own price. Although the trial resulted in a decrease in per-person payments, there was a positive relationship between payment amount and customer satisfaction and attitude toward the zoo, and a negative relationship between the payment amount and group size. We also found some evidence that engaging in PWYW encouraged central route information processing (as per the elaboration likelihood model theory of persuasion). However, additional research is required to further understand effect of PWYW on elaboration and attitude.

Gambling is an international phenomenon, posing a serious threat to adolescents who begin gambling at a young age. This study aims, to explore gambling behavior in adolescents and interpret its risk factors. We conducted a three-waves cohort longitudinal study assessing gambling and associated risk factors in south-eastern Spain. Data were analyzed using the Capabilities, Opportunities, Motivations, Behavior (COM-B) model and the partial least squares path modelling (PLS-PM) technique. Gambling was measured by frequency and money spent; associated factors were knowledge about gambling, parental attitude towards gambling, risk perception, normative perception, and intention to gamble. These items were assigned as indicators of each construct of the COM-B model—capability, opportunity, motivation, and behavior—using the theoretical domains framework. Once the behavior was performed, feedback on future capability, opportunity, and motivation was observed. Results show that capability, determined by past experience, and opportunity, determined by parental attitudes, motivates adolescents to seek gambling experiences in the future. Identifying such factors that affect gambling behavior in adolescents and establishing relationships between them through a robust theoretical model is essential for designing effective interventions.

Nurses’ attitudes about breastfeeding may play a role in their ability to support and promote it. Orientation for labor and delivery (L&D) nurses includes the initial placement of neonate to breast. However, formation of nurses’ attitudes begins in their academic and clinical experiences. Educational interventions that target nursing students’ attitudes about breastfeeding provide an opportunity to not only teach lactation-specific information, but to also diffuse biases and misconceptions prior to delivering patient care as students and more importantly, registered nurses. Senior nursing students in a baccalaureate program were surveyed for attitudes about breastfeeding and perceived readiness to support breastfeeding practices. An educational intervention was implemented and a post-intervention survey was administered. Students’ attitudes toward breastfeeding and perceived readiness to support breastfeeding practices were positively impacted by the educational intervention. Nurses’ ability to promote and support breastfeeding may be dependent upon their attitude toward this healthy behavior.

Purpose: The purpose of the study to examine nurses' knowledge, attitudes, and practices towards physical assessment of critically ill patients in Tertiary Care Hospital, Lahore Pakistan. Methodology: The cross-sectional study was performed. A well-designed questionnaire was used to observe responses. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 25 was used to analyze the data. For the analysis, descriptive statistics of demographic data were used, meaning standard deviation and frequency. The Pearson correlation test was used to measure the correlation between knowledge, attitude, and practice towards physical assessment of critically ill patients. The study results display in tables and charts. Pearson correlation at p <0.05 consider as significant. Findings: The study was carried out to assess the knowledge, attitude, and practice among intensive care unit nurses towards physical assessment of critically sick patients in Tertiary Care Hospital Lahore, Pakistan. In this study, around 57.2% of nurses had good knowledge, 59.4% positive attitude, and 68.1% good practice towards critical ill patient’s physical assessment Unique contribution to theory, practice and policy: This study provide the opportunity to the nurses better to enhance their level of knowledge and skill of practice on physical assessment. The objective of this study was to assess men’s acceptability of a men’s mental health promotion program in community pharmacies through pilot testing the theoretical framework of acceptability (TFA) as part of the process evaluation. Five men were interviewed about their experiences with the Headstrong program to learn about the acceptability of the program. The TFA was used as the deductive coding scheme and consists of seven constructs including affective attitude, burden, intervention coherence, ethicality, opportunity costs, perceived effectiveness, and self-efficacy. Three constructs, affective attitude, perceived effectiveness, and intervention coherence, from the TFA were coded in all five transcripts. The most frequently coded constructs were affective attitude and perceived effectiveness, coded 19 and 17 times, respectively. Interviewees all reported good relationships with their pharmacists, which influenced their willingness, attitude, and low burden for participation in Headstrong. Each of the men expressed comments reflecting anticipated effectiveness of the program outside of their own experience and how it could impact other men. Use of the TFA as part of a process evaluation of men’s experiences in a men’s mental health program was useful in identifying men’s perceptions of the program’s acceptability. Further research regarding how the quality of existing relationships with clinicians and patients impacts the TFA constructs of affective attitudes, perceived effectiveness, and burden would be useful.

ABSTRACTThe growth of the cosmetics industry in Indonesia is very encouraging for competition between cosmetic manufacturers in Indonesia. The cosmetic competition from South Korea increases the competition to be very complex. Indonesia, which is most important for Islam, poses a different challenge for cosmetic producers so that the religiosity factor must be considered. With the spread of the internet around the world, interpersonal communication has been reshaped from traditional face-to-face communication to a more virtual way of communication called electronic word of mouth (E-WOM), where consumers have a great opportunity to share information about their consumption experiences and for investment advice on products and brands using social networking platforms and consumer review sites. This study aims to study whether religiosity, EWOM, brand image, and attitudes influence purchase intention. The research sample is the people of Batam city who see cosmetics from South Korea. The number of samples in this study was 320 respondents with a purposive sample technique. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS) was used in this study. The results of this study are that religiosity affects attitudes and purchase intentions, EWOM affects attitudes and purchase intentions, and attitudes that affect purchase intentions. The focus of this study is to investigate the major factors influencing entrepreneurial intent and behavior, by addressing the role of entrepreneurial education, business opportunity recognition, and the need for achievement. The research data were collected online using a self-administered questionnaire among 148 Moroccan women having completed an entrepreneurship training program. The data analysis using a PLS-SEM provided evidence of the positive impact of entrepreneurial education on entrepreneurial self-efficacy and PBC. Likewise, the findings supported the direct impact of subjective norms and entrepreneurial self-efficacy on entrepreneurial attitude. Furthermore, entrepreneurial attitude, business opportunity recognition, and the need for achievement were identified as predictors of entrepreneurial intent, leading to enhanced entrepreneurial behavior. These results highlight a number of useful practical recommendations for public policy-makers on how to stimulate and encourage entrepreneurship initiatives among women.
