We establish precise asymptotics at low energies ( ? → - ∞) for the integrated density of states of this operator. Under some conditions on the probability distribution of the random variables, we obtain complete asymptotic expansion. The leading term represents the probability that the infinum of the spectrum of the operator with single site potential is below ,. In this regime, the density of states does not feel the tunneling between the different sites i. E. It behaves like as if the Anderson modelis the direct sum of many i. I. D. Copies of operators with single site potential. The precision of our asymptotics allows us to study the evolution of the terms carrying the interaction between differents sites when the decay of the tail of distribution of the random potential increases. In other words, the transition from the classical to quantum asymptotics

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis concerns the study of composition operators on model spaces. Let [Phi] be an analytic function on the unit disk into itself and let [Théta] be an inner function, that is a holomorphic function bounded by 1 such that the radial limits on the unit circle are of modulus 1 almost everywhere with respect to Lebesgue measure. With this function [Théta], we associate the model space K[Théta], defined as the set of functions f ∈ H², which are orthogonal to the subspace [Théta]H². Here H² is the Hardy space on the unit disc. These subspaces are important in operator theory because they are used to model a large class of contractions on Hilbert space. The first problem which we are interested in concerns the compactness of the composition operator C[Phi] as an operator on H² into H². Recently, Lyubarskii and Malinnikova have obtained a nice criterion for the compactness of these operators which is related to the Nevanlinna counting function. This criterion generalizes the classical criterion of Shapiro. In the first part of the thesis, we generalize this result of Lyubarskii-Malinnikova to a more general class of subspaces, known as de Branges-Rovnyak spaces or some subspaces of them. The techniques that are used are particular Bernstein type inequalities of these spaces.The second problem in which we are interested in this thesis concerns the invariance of K[Théta] under C[Phi]. We present a group structure on the unit disc via the automorphisms which fix the point 1. Then, through theinduced group action, each point of the unit disc produces an equivalence class which turns out to be a Blaschke sequence. Moreover, the corresponding Blaschke products are minimal solutions of the functional equation [Psi]°[Phi]=[Lambda][Psi] where [Lambda] is a unimodular constant and is an automorphism of the unit disc. These results are applied in the invariance problem of the model spaces by the composition operator

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis proposes to reflect on the kinetic character of the analogical method adopted in De Motu Animalium of Aristotle. Considering that the object of the treatise is the common cause of the movement of animais, in general, automotricity is the "thème" while the articulated member is the ''phore" in De Motu's analogical reasoning. Hypothetically we consider that the plastic strategies of the analogical method of De motu are the guiding thread of the reasoning undertaken in the research on the common cause of the motility of ail animal movements. Our general double aim is: on the one hand, to take philosophical acquisitions on the immanent character of the principle of movement, and on the other hand, to grasp the kinetic and plastic character of this philosophical enterprise, which involves dynamic methodological procedures in view of the adaptation of the method to the object. We seek to achieve these objectives through two analyses: first, the analysis of the stages of the establishment of the articulated member paradigm (AMP), and then the analysis of the main analogy of the treatise, between the articulated limb and the animated automotricity. Through the two analyses we must gather the necessary elements to confront the two tenns of the main analogy, as well as to verify the general validity of the thesis and also the consideration according to which the analogical method of De Motu Animalium is a plastic instrument of the thought of immanence

Повний текст джерелаThe PHD thesis has three parts, the first and the second part correpond mainly to study the groundstate energy, the last one being devoted to the analysis of the pinning effect in superconductivity.In a first part of this thesis, we consider the Ginzburg-Landau functional with a variable applied magnetic field in a bounded and smooth two-dimensional domain. We determine an accurate asymptotic formula for the minimizing energy when the Ginzburg-Landau parameter and the magnetic field are large and of the same order. As a consequence, it is shown how bulk superconductivity decreases in average as the applied magnetic field increases.In another part, we consider the Ginzburg-Landau functional with a variable applied magnetic field in a bounded and smooth two-dimensional domain. The profile of the applied magnetic field varies smoothly and is allowed to vanish non-degenerately along a curve. Assuming that the strength of the applied magnetic field varies between two characteristic scales, and that the Ginzburg-Landau parameter tends to , we determine an accurate asymptotic formula for the minimizing energy and show that the energy minimizers have vortices. The new aspect in the presence of variable magnetic field is that the distribution of vortices in the sample is not uniform.In the final part, we study the Ginzburg-Landau energy of a superconductor with a variable magnetic field and a pinning term in a bounded and smooth two-dimensional domain . Supposing that the Ginzburg-Landau parameter and the intensity of magnetic field are large and of the same order, we determine an accurate asymptotic formula for the minimizing energy. Also, we discuss the existence of non-trivial solutions and prove an asymptotics of the third critical field
