Анотація:
Object of research: risk management processes of enterprises of the oil and fat industry in Ukraine. Investigated problem: to assess the efficiency of the implementation of the mechanism of innovative risk management for enterprises of the oil and fat industry in Ukraine Main scientific results: the paper proposes a scientific and methodological approach to quantifying the effectiveness of the implementation of the mechanism of innovative risk management (MIRM) of enterprises of the oil and fat industry in Ukraine, based on comparing the net present value before and after the MIRM implementation and consists of a number of successive interrelated stages, which include: comparative analysis and integrated assessment of unsystematic (financial, production, investment and other types) risks before and after the MIRM implementation at the enterprise; expert assessment of systematic risks that form the environment of the enterprise and can’t be controlled; determination of the total risk value as an arithmetic weighted average non-systematic and systematic component for each type of risk; determination of discount rates taking into account risk before and after the MIRM implementation at the enterprise using the CAPM model (capital assets pricing model) for calculating and comparing the net present value before and after the MIRM implementation at the enterprise (NPV and NPV', respectively). Efficiency assessment of the implementation of the mechanism of innovative risk management (MIRM) was carried out on the example of eleven processing enterprises of the fat and oil industry in Ukraine. The scope of practical use of research results: the risk management system of processing enterprises of the fat and oil industry in Ukraine, which should be the object of constant monitoring of the feasibility of implementation and assessment of the effectiveness of MIRM functioning by management and top management. Innovative technological product: a scientific and methodological approach to quantifying the effectiveness of the implementation of the mechanism of innovative risk management for enterprises of the oil and fat industry in Ukraine, based on comparing the net present value before and after the MIRM implementation (NPV and NPV’, respectively) using the CAPM model (capital assets pricing model) to determine the discount rates taking into account the risk before and after the MIRM implementation (d and d', respectively), which makes it possible to determine the expected amount of reduction in losses at the processing enterprises of the oil and fat industry of Ukraine from the implementation of a set of risk management measures and make informed management decisions on the appropriateness of their application. Scope of application of the innovative technological product: processing enterprises of the oil and fat industry in Ukraine.

Purpose. The purpose of the article is to develop a system for evaluation the state of financial security of operating activities of enterprises in oil-and-fat industry based on the coordination of the interaction of the main factors of influence and levels of its components. Methodology / approach. In the process of writing the article the following research methods were used: abstract-logical (at the systematization of scientific publications on the problems of management of enterprises in oil-and-fat industry, financial security of enterprises), grouping (by clustering enterprises depending on the obtained results), comparisons (by developing a model for assessing the degree of financial stability of operating activities of enterprises), coefficient (by developing a model for assessing the degree of liquidity of enterprises), formalization (by developing a matrix for diagnostics of the state of financial security of operating activities of enterprises), generalization (by formulating research conclusions). Results. In the process of research, the system of complex evaluation of degrees and levels of the main components of financial security of the operations activities of the enterprises in oil-and-fat industry was substantiated: a model for assessing the financial stability of operating activities and a model for assessing the liquidity of an enterprise. A diagnostic matrix for the financial security status of the operational activities of the enterprises in oil-and-fat industry was developed to define the security boundaries of the operation activity of enterprises. Approbation of the proposed system for assessing the financial security of operating activities on the materials of the selected group of enterprises in the oil-and-fat industry made it possible to analyze the dynamics of the state of the financial security of their operating activities. Originality / scientific novelty of the research is to develop tools for a comprehensive evaluation of the financial security of the operating activities of the enterprises in oil-and-fat industry. The method of determining the impact of the degree of financial stability and liquidity of the enterprise on the level of financial security of current activities was improved. For the first time, a nine-quadrant matrix of the state of financial security of operating activities of enterprises depending on the ratio of the degrees of the above factors was substantiated. Practical value / implications. The use of the proposed system of financial security evaluation of operating activities of the enterprise, according to the authors, can serve as an effective mechanism for managing the financing current activities of enterprises in oil-and-fat industry and become an informative tool for factor analysis in managing their overall financial security.

Relevance of the research topic. Since competition and innovation are interrelated, at the current stage of development of the Ukrainian economy the problem of increasing the profitability and competitiveness of sunflower seed production based on the development of innovative processes in the industry remains highly relevant. Those producers of sunflower seeds, who were the first to apply innovations, have the opportunity to reduce the cost of manufactured products, which contributes to strengthening their position in a competitive environment and increasing their survival in the modern market. Formulation of the problem. The downturn of business activity, the domestic economy is experiencing, is usually accompanied by a decrease in the cost of developing innovations. However, an analysis of the activities of large firms, especially in oligopolistic markets, both high-tech and less technologically advanced, shows that for many of them the development of innovation retains its priority value even during periods of unfavorable economic conditions. This allows you to achieve strategic advantages, enter new markets and consolidate positions in the industry after the end of the crisis. Selection of unexplored parts of a common problem. The oil and fat complex represents a wide range of products, the use of new technologies, a high level of profitability and competitiveness, the attraction of foreign deposits, and an orientation towards the export of raw materials. Investment in the development of oil-producing enterprises, entrenched in the market, in fact creates additional natural barriers to their entry into the market, which leads to a change in the concentration and degree of competitiveness and provokes the emergence of new phenomena that require further research. Statement of the problem, the objectives of the study. The purpose of the study is to determine the theoretical aspects of innovation in the activities of agricultural enterprises of the oil and fat complex. The goal defines the following tasks: to consider the categories of enterprises, covers the oil and fat complex; provide a scheme for the extensive development of the industry; explore the basic conditions for the long-term development of the enterprise and consider a scheme for meeting prospective market needs; highlight the benefits of innovation; to substantiate the main trends and directions of development of innovation and investment activities of enterprises producing oil and fat products. Method or methodology of the study. The methodology of the study is to identify approaches to the definition of "innovation", to determine the totality of the methodological components of the appraisal apparatus and justify and highlight their advantages, given the logistics infrastructure of the oil and fat complex. The presentation of the main material (results). The categories of enterprises are considered, covers the oil and fat complex. The scheme of extensive development of the industry. A necessary condition for the long-term development of the enterprise has been described and a scheme for meeting prospective market needs has been considered. Highlighted the benefits of innovation, stimulate agricultural producers to introduce innovations. The logistics infrastructure of the oil and fat complex and the main trends and directions for the development of innovation and investment activities of manufacturing enterprises are presented. Domestic producers of oil and fat products should take into account the global development trends of the global oil and fat complex in the development of an innovation strategy plan, investing in new products, such as high-viscosity sunflower, rapeseed or soybean oil. The scope of the results. The results of the study can be used in the activities of agricultural enterprises producing oil and fat products, as well as in the work of firms representing the food industry. The presentation of the main material (results). The categories of enterprises are considered, covers the oil and fat complex. The scheme of extensive development of the industry. A necessary condition for the long-term development of the enterprise has been described and a scheme for meeting prospective market needs has been considered. Highlighted the benefits of innovation, stimulate agricultural producers to introduce innovations. The logistics infrastructure of the oil and fat complex and the main trends and directions for the development of innovation and investment activities of manufacturing enterprises are presented. Domestic producers of oil and fat products should take into account the global development trends of the global oil and fat complex in the development of an innovation strategy plan, investing in new products, such as high-viscosity sunflower, rapeseed or soybean oil. Conclusions according to the article. The consumption of “healthy” natural vegetable oils is increasing in the world, particularly in Europe, Asia, and North and South America. The current trends towards an increase in the volume and qualitative changes in the structure of consumption of edible vegetable oils and fats make it possible to predict the future shortage of them in both developed and developing countries. The constant growth of the global demand for edible vegetable oils creates the prerequisites for the activation of the search for new investment and innovative solutions by the subjects of this market. Domestic producers of oil and fat products should take into account the global development trends of the global oil and fat complex in the development of an innovation strategy plan, investing in new products, such as high-viscosity sunflower, rapeseed or soybean oil.

The article examines theoretical approaches to achieving the competitive advantages of Ukrainian oil and fat enterprises in modern market conditions. Special attention is paid to the peculiarities of the use in business management of marketing concepts of business organization, which are oriented at the market, needs of consumers, society and other stakeholders. The most effective results for the enterprises are provided by the implementation of marketing management concepts that are oriented at identifying and meeting consumer demand as well as consideration of the interests of all other stakeholders in the supply chain of oil and fat products, the individual, community and society, i.e. concepts of marketing interaction and holistic marketing. The supply chain of oil and fat products includes the economic interests of business entities that develop varieties of oil and fat seeds, machinery and technology, supply of resources, production of raw materials, processing, storage and transportation, etc. A key position in the supply chain is occupied by the consumer. The success of the marketing strategy of the enterprise depends on the degree of consideration of the interests of the individual, communities, society and the state. It is concluded that oil and fat companies in the food industry can gain sustainable competitive advantages due to integration efforts aimed to form agricultural and food clusters in local geographical areas from all stakeholders and relationships in the supply chain of oil and fat products including suppliers, manufacturers, intermediaries, consumers, government and other organizations, etc. Keywords: oil and fat business, marketing orientation, competitive advantages, supply chain, stakeholders, interests, oil and fat cluster.

The article proves the decisive role of the oil and fat sector for the national economy. The current state of activity of processing enterprises of oil and fat industry allows to state that extensive directions of growth and development are almost exhausted for them, since there is already a tendency to exceed existing production capacities every year compared to available volumes of raw materials for processing. This is a consequence of an increase in the volume of oilseeds exports while at the same time insufficient capacity of production capacities of processing oilseeds enterprises. One of the measures that can partially solve this problem is the use by enterprises of the domestic oil and fat sector of such direction of development as diversification of production. Although it is advisable to note the presence of certain differences in the use of diversification between Ukrainian and foreign enterprises. The use of kinship diversification at oil and fat enterprises is associated with the transition from mono structural forms of technological lines of plants to the universal ones capable of working with various types of raw materials. One of the promising areas of diversification for domestic enterprises of the oil and fat complex is the market of oilseeds processing products, where only several companies currently operate. Also, the priority direction of diversification of the activities of oil processing enterprises can be the production of such a refining product as phosphate concentrate. Significant potential and reserve for the development and expansion of oilseed processing enterprises lies in the intensification of biofuel production, in particular the production of pellets. Also, an additional direction of diversification of activities of enterprises that produce and use pellets for their own needs can be the production of thermal energy, which is aimed not only at providing their own technological needs, but also at providing such services to others. Thus, by diversifying its activities, oil and fat enterprises are able not only to improve their technical and economic performance, but also to intensify and stimulate the further development of enterprises of other related and connected sectors of the national economy, accelerating their modernization and more harmonious integration into the global economic space.

The article studied modern cleaning methods and technological schemes of enterprises of the fat-and-oil industry. Based on literary sources, the effi ciency of wastewater treatment by physicochemical treatment methods has been investigated. Reagent pretreatment of wastewater is widely used, and research focuses on the selection of optimal reagents and doses. A modern method for the treatment of fat and oil containing wastewater is biomembrane technology. Classic treatment schemes are often unable to achieve regulatory requirements for the quality of treated wastewater; therefore, the use of membrane bioreactor technology may be in demand for treating food wastewater. The problems of using various methods of purifi cation of fat-and- oilt wastewater are identifi ed. The economic effi ciency of the proposed cleaning methods is determined.

Utilization of fruit seeds plays a special role, since they are a valuable raw material for the oil and fat industry, at the enterprises of which the complex processing of seeds is carried out: oil is obtained from kernels, crumbs and powder are obtained from shells. Before placing the seeds in the oil and fat enterprises, they must be cleaned of impurities and dried, since the seeds extracted from the fruits have an increased humidity of 25-60% and contain a significant amount of impurities in the form of pulp and squeezes. However, due to the lack of specialized equipment for drying fruit seeds in canneries, their supply to the kernel oil plants is declining every year. In this case, tons of seeds are simply destroyed. Attempts to use existing industrial dryers proved to be ineffective, since they do not take into account the structural features of fruit seeds, and are also not very adapted to significant fluctuations in the moisture of raw seeds and the unevenness of their receipt on drying. The most appropriate method of drying fruit seeds is the use of infrared radiation and a vibro-boiling layer.

British and US oil companies set up the world's largest oil refinery transhipment complex in the Caribbean after the Suez Crisis and a technological revolution in oil tanker design in 1956. Trinidad and Tobago became one of the world's largest oil refinery and transhipment centres. In 1969 the British oil companies began to withdraw their investments and requested the nationalisation of their assets. In 1985 the US companies withdrew their investments in response to the US government's deregulation of the domestic oil industry and financial incentives to bring their investments back home. Requested nationalisation led to the state-ownership of the oil sector. The government of Trinidad set up state-owned petrochemical and iron and steel industries, with some of the world's most sophisticated technology, to utilise the country's large natural gas reserves. But by 1988 state capitalism had failed to provide the expected economic and social benefits, despite the drain on limited financial reserves and massive foreign loans. The government's reliance on the oil sector as the `prime mover' of the economy had caused sectoral and trade imbalance, high inflation, increased unemployment, currency instability, debt crisis and political instability which culminated in an attempted coup in July 1990. The root cause of the failure of state capitalism was the governments' rush to industrialise and the structure of the state petroleum enterprises. The lack of accountability and responsibility of top management and government interference led to poorly run, unprofitable industries in which government waste and corruption were common.

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) participation in the Nigerian oil and gas industry has remained low despite their importance in income generation, employment, local capacity building, and poverty eradication. The purpose of this multiple case study was to explore the strategies SME owners use to improve profitability in the Nigerian oil and gas industry. The target population consisted of 5 business owners who had successfully managed SMEs in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria for more than 5 years. The resource-based view and Porter's 5 forces of competition served as the conceptual framework for the study. Data collection was through semistructured interviews and review of company documents to triangulate the data. Data analysis included transcription, coding, querying, interpreting and reporting the themes, and the use of member checking strengthened the trustworthiness of interpretations. Findings suggested themes of low-cost strategy, knowledge of the business environment, competent personnel, collaborative partnerships, integrity, and financial management. These findings may contribute to positive social change because SME business leaders could use low-cost strategies, hire competent personnel, collaborate with other partners, and demonstrate integrity in financial management. Doing so may improve profitability, generate employment, reduce poverty, and enhance standards of living.

У дисертаційній роботі досліджено теоретичні, методичні та практичні питання забезпечення умов модернізації підприємств олійно-жирової промисловості України. Удосконалено визначення понять «модернізація підприємства», «техніко-технологічна модернізація», «потенціал модернізації підприємства». Здійснено класифікацію видів модернізації. З’ясовано умови модернізаційного розвитку підприємств олійно-жирової промисловості. Проаналізовано стан підприємств олійно-жирової промисловості, проблеми їх модернізації. Запропоновано вдосконалення діагностики техніко-технологічного стану підприємства. Запропоновано методичний підхід до оцінки потенціалу модернізації підприємства, що базується на визначенні складових потенціалу модернізації та інтегральній оцінці їх впливу на загальний потенціал модернізації підприємства. Здійснено імплементацію результатів дослідження на діючих підприємствах олійно-жирової промисловості. Обґрунтовано проект техніко-технологічної модернізації підготовчого виробництва на олійнодобувному підприємстві.
В диссертационной работе исследованы теоретические, методические и практические вопросы обеспечения условий модернизации предприятий масло-жировой промышленности. Усовершенствованы понятия «модернизация предприятия», «технико-технологическая модернизация», «потенциал модернизации предприятия». Обоснована взаимообусловленность развития экономики и модернизации предприятий, а также влияние цикличности модернизации предприятий на эффективность их деятельности. С целью определения цикличных колебаний использована модель цикличности модернизации. Усовершенствована классификация модернизационных процессов на предприятии, обусловленная ее предметом, в результате чего определены виды модернизации. Рассмотрены экономические и организационные условия модернизации предприятий и выявлены их особенности на предприятиях масло-жировой промышленности, обусловленные особенностями хозяйствования. Обоснован методический подход к оценке потенциала модернизации предприятий, который базируется на определении составляющих потенциала модернизации и интегральной оценке их влияния на общий потенциал модернизации предприятия. Исследованы состояние и проблемы модернизации предприятий масло-жировой промышленности. Предложено совершенствование диагностики технико-технологического уровня предприятия в части направлений диагностики: обновления основных средств, использования технологий и связанных с ними основных средств, временных границ необходимости модернизации предприятия. Проведена оценка потенциала модернизации предприятий масло-жировой промышленности, определены приоритетные направления стратегии модернизации маслоэкстракционного завода. С целью реализации приоритета модернизации подготовительного производства обоснован проект инновационной технологии послеуборочной обработки семян подсолнечника на маслоперерабатывающем предприятии, внедрение которого приведет к снижению себестоимости производства подсолнечного масла и повышению эффективности производства.
The thesis studied the theoretical, methodological and practical issues of providing conditions for the modernization of oil and fat industry enterprises. The following concepts were improved: "modernization of enterprise", "technical and technological modernization," "potential of enterprise modernization." The classification of modernization types at the enterprise was improved. The organizational-economic conditions for the modernization of oil-fat industry were studied. The analysis of the condition and modernization problems of oil and fat industry enterprises was performed. There was offered the diagnostics of the technical and technological level of the enterprise. The procedure for the assessment of enterprises modernization potential was justified, which is based on the determination of the modernization potential components and integrated assessment of their impact on the overall potential of the enterprise modernization. The implementation of research results in the existing oil and fat industry enterprises was carried out. The project of technical and technology modernization of post-harvest sunflower seeds processing was justified.

Innovation and ‘creative destruction’ should thrive in the competitive, high risk and high cost environment of the North Sea. Paradoxically, uptake of new technology is slow. The focus of this research was to understand how new technology is developed and how end users make decisions about innovation. Innovation process in the literature can sometimes come across like a ‘black box’ without much explanation of what happens inside the box. This study seeks to explicate what transpires inside the ‘black box’ to improve our understanding of the innovation process. The linear models of technology-push and market-pull are too simplistic to account for the complexity of relationships and engagements that affect innovation at small and medium enterprises’ (SMEs) level. Subsequent models of innovation are suited to how large corporations manage innovation but neglect patterns of social interactions at the micro level where SMEs operate. These innovation models are incomplete because they relegate the importance of context and how it shapes understanding, action and outcome. This study, rooted in a social constructionist paradigm, takes a process-relational stance on entrepreneurship and innovation, recognising the dynamic relationships between social actors and context. Taking Heidegger’s explication of how we relate to the world, this thesis submits that innovation occurs when actors move into the ‘occurrent’ mode. The happenings and doings in the innovation process are treated as the results of perpetual social constructions. This study is based on extended interviews with eleven individuals in relevant roles and with direct experiences of the technical innovation construction in the oil and gas industry. The purposeful sample of research encompasses a variety of roles including technology entrepreneurs, end users of technology and venture capitalists. This study makes a number of contributions. Firstly, the research improves our understanding of how different social constructions are welded together to develop shared understanding. Secondly, a conceptual framework is presented that bridges a number of theoretical concepts, which allows us to see that innovation cannot be properly understood using simplistic models that ignores the social constructions human actors instantiate. Thirdly, the research claims that problem framing is foundational to innovation construction, where social actors collaborate to develop shared understanding, and mentally represent in the present a future that is not totally knowable. Fourthly, an alternative model of innovation construction is presented that is relational and accounts for the social constructions of process participants. Finally, a number of research implications for academics and insights for practitioners engaged in the technical innovation construction are offered.

Perspectives of Ukraine as an exporter of an oil and fat products are revealed. Problems and ways to increase the efficiency of the oil and fat industry in Ukraine have been identified and substantiated. The development of an oil and fat industry of Ukraine is forecasted.

Cette thèse est une contribution aux travaux en cours sur la valorisation chimique de l'huile de colza et de ses produits de transestérification: esters méthyliques et glycérol. Actuellement, les esters d'huile de colza sont seulement utilisés comme biocarburant ; dans notre travail, nous proposons de les valoriser comme matières premières de l'industrie chimique. Ce mémoire est divisé en deux parties: l'étude du craquage thermique des esters méthyliques d'huile de colza (expérimentation et modélisation) et l'étude des valorisations hors pyrolyse des esters et du glycérol. Nous avons pyrolysé d'une part un mélange d'esters méthyliques d'huile de colza et d'autre part, du stéarate de méthyle pur, dilués dans l'eau ou dans l'azote, à pression atmosphérique, dans un réacteur de type piston. La température de pyrolyse varie entre 550°C et 850°C, le temps de passage est compris entre 0,2 et 0,5 seconde, la dilution varie de 6 à 28 moles de diluant par mole d'ester. Dans ces conditions, la pyrolyse conduit principalement à la formation d'hydrogène, de monoxyde de carbone, de dioxyde de carbone, de méthane, d'éthylène, de 1-oléfines linéaires de C3 à C18 et d'esters méthyliques insaturés de C3 à C17. Un mécanisme radicalaire et une simulation sur logiciel morse ont permis de valider les résultats expérimentaux de décomposition du stéarate de méthyle, à 630°C, en l'absence d'eau. Dans la seconde partie de la thèse, nous proposons des voies de valorisation, autres que la pyrolyse, pour l'oléate de méthyle et le linoléate de méthyle (formation de monomères de nylon et de 1-oléfines lourdes). Enfin, nous dressons un bilan de la production et des utilisations actuelles (sans et après transformation) du glycérol et nous proposons des valorisations nouvelles pour ce produit

In the Ukrainian economy, due to the high energy intensity of gross domestic product (2.6 times higher than the industrialized countries of the world), rising prices for traditional fuel and energy resources, increasing energy imports, the problem of energy saving in Ukraine is one of the topical and strategic value. One of the largest consumers of the fuel and energy resources of the food industry is the oil and fat industry. A generic indicator of the efficiency of energy use at the oil and fat industry is energy intensity of production, ie an indicator characterizing the total costs of fuel and energy resources for the production of a unit of finished products. The article analyzes in detail the indices of the use of fuel and energy resources as a whole for the oil and fat industry, for certain types of its products, as well as for individual enterprises of this industry. The main priority directions of energy efficiency improvement in the oil and fat industry are identified and substantiated, which the authors refer to: creation of an energy complex for burning sunflower husk with obtaining heat and electricity, granulation of husk with its further use as an alternative bio-economic entity. Specific recommendations have been developed to reduce the energy content of oil and fat products through the development of highly efficient energy-saving technologies, circuits, lines, units, units and energy-efficient equipment at industrial enterprises.

The purpose of this chapter is to examine the state-of-the-art of Knowledge Assets Management (KAM) in the energy industry, reviewing both the literature and the practice of KAM initiatives. Particular attention is provided to the renewable energy sector and to the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). It emerges that most of the literature is focused on big companies and little attention is paid to the renewable energy sector. It emerges that some organizations, especially in the oil industry, are seen as leaders in KM practice. On the other hand, SMEs operating in the renewable energy industry are not aware of the relevance of KAM and then do not address explicitly KAM initiatives or projects. The research reveals that small firms do indeed manage knowledge assets informally as part of their normal activities, without using the terminology and concepts of knowledge management discipline.

This chapter presents the design and development of an economically and technically feasible small-scale oil palm waste shredder to contribuite to oil palm waste management. Most available oil palm waste shredders are unaffordable due to high initial investment cost, large, heavy and unportable, which have been the drawbacks for small and medium enterprises to participate in the industry that relates with oil palm waste management. To address this issue, a low-cost and small-scale oil palm waste shredder were designed and produced. The central design concept deduced is to compromise acceptable efficiency with an affordable price by integrating all mandatory components of oil palm waste shredder into a comparatively small and portable support structure. The innovations made in the design are size reduction and adoption of double-shafts cutters with seven jaws technology. Preliminary calculations supported the design. The cutting force produced is up to 19.45kN with safety factor of 4.5. This design can handle other oil palm wastes as oil palm frond is harder than other oil palm wastes.

Abstract It has been recognized that Digitalization in the oil and gas industry, as emerging information communication and technology, can improve collaboration to different extents. However, because of the fast progress of Digitalization adoption both on the scope and in-depth, there is a knowledge gap between industry and academia that lacks systematic analysis on critical success factors (CSFs) of implementing Digitalization for collaboration in the oil and gas industry. This study develops a digitalization framework for collaboration from technical, organizational, process, and legal scopes. It identifies the CSFs of Digitalization in each scope based on the latest publications. From a system analysis perspective, the pair-relationship matrix is established to reveal the hidden effect between CSFs. The CSFs in the specific Digitalization application areas are identified based on the matrix. The Innovative Digital Race is based on the evolution of the operational backbone of the engineering domain, driven by advancements in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Automation, energy technologies, and data-driven prediction and analytics. Organizations are constantly buffeted by unexpected events, from the COVID-19 pandemic to climate change to political unrest. In contrast, the promise of digital transformation to prosper and outperform the challenges during disturbances stays apparent as digital is responsible for supporting digital enterprise technology. As a result, enterprises can embrace innovations to accelerate growth and strategically drive the enterprise forward through gaining trusted digital connections, solutions to disruptive scale digital creativity, and innovative capacities to post business growth and resilience.

A number of problems related to the competitiveness of oil and gas enterprises have been identified and research is being conducted. Investment projects in the oil and gas industry are highlighted in the creation of infrastructure facilities and cooperation with international financial institutions. Great attention is paid to the economic growth in the member-states of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and further development of the industrial transport system. Liquefied petroleum products have the highest annual growth rates in non-CIS countries. Statistical data show that the amount of fuel required to meet the increasing demand for fuels in the world needs to be increased. The article describes how to solve the problem gradually leaving the monopoly.

Abstract Collaborative Working Environments (CWE) are a business solution that improve the quality and speed of decision making by enriching the collaboration between teams and individuals, which results in tangible business benefits. The advantages of working in a collaborative environment are well understood in the organization and the concept is widely embraced throughout the petroleum industry. CWEs provide seamless communication between disciplines and between teams in different locations. Traditionally, they have been used to connect staff in remote locations to teams in the headquarters, allowing real time monitoring of the health of the field, and fast decision making on operational issues and short to medium term optimization opportunities. The main goal is to be quickly alerted to events and make smarter, faster decisions using key capabilities available to the company with access to all relevant knowledge, data and analytical tools required to reach a decision. But this drive to make smarter, faster decisions is applicable to all levels of a company. In fact, it becomes increasingly important as more complex decisions are required at higher levels, which can be influenced by interpreted data, personal opinions and perceptions. In line with strategic objective of digital transformation, a national oil company (NOC) has extensive plans to develop asset specific CWEs and enterprise level CWEs. These will be centralized collaboration facilities to provide more rigorous, effective, and consistent surveillance & optimization to help reduce deferment costs and inefficiencies and accelerate decision-making with a measurable business value to enhance HSE, Reservoir, Drilling, Well and Production system performance through emerging digital innovation. All these centers shall be equipped to receive real time and episodic data and perform exception-based surveillance through trending, analysis, and condition diagnosis. All these CWE Centers shall enable decision making with efficient multi-disciplinary collaboration to address business challenges and increase the efficiency of day-to-day operations. They will have clear roles and responsibilities serving as an integral element of the value realization across the assets. The paper will describe the enterprise CWE strategy, key technical considerations, methodology and standards that have been set up to achieve the ultimate objective of the organization to maximize oil field recovery, eliminating non-productive time, enhancing HSE aspects and increasing profitability through the deployment of these various centers.

In the present work, waste fish fat from fish processing industry is considered as an energy source for diesel engines. In this regard, catalytic cracking process is considered for this present study. The physical and chemical properties of biofuel are very close to diesel fuel. The experiments were conducted in a single cylinder diesel engine to study the performance, emission and combustion characteristics of biofuel. As a result, fuel undergoes good combustion and hence there is significant improvement in performance and reduction in emissions. Experimental results indicate a marginal increase in brake thermal efficiency at all loads compared to diesel fuel. The results show that despite of high NOx and CO2, the engine has lesser UHC, CO and PM than standard diesel fuel. The premixed and diffusion combustion duration is decreased with biofuel compared to diesel fuel. The engine was running smooth at all load conditions with biofuel. It is concluded that the biofuel derived from waste fish fat can be consider as a substitute for diesel fuel.
