Повний текст джерелаThe thesis presents inverse correlation techniques able to measure accurately the damping loss factor of complex plane structures. In the first chapter, the state of the art gathering numerous local and global characterization methods is presented. In the second part of the chapter, various topics of direct interest to the thesis such as classical damping loss factor measurement techniques and the analytical solution based on the discrete general laminate model (GLM) are briefly discussed. In the second chapter, the inhomogeneous wave correlation (IWC) method based on the maximization of the correlation between an inhomogeneous wave and the measured displacement field as a function of the wave heading angle is revisited. A new variant that considers the exponential decay with distance from the excitation point in the inhomogeneous wave formulation is introduced. The purpose of introducing this variant is to improve the estimation of the damping loss factor. The validity of the proposed method is investigated numerically on flat thin structures and sandwich damped structures. The performance of the method related to the excitation point location and the size of the observation window are also investigated. A new Green’s function-based model correlation (GFC) method able to estimate the equivalent elastic parameters of complex structures at different propagation angles is detailed in the third chapter. Contrary to the IWC method, the measured displacement field is correlated with a Green’s function-based model. This approach is more adapted to describe the field near the excitation point and offers more stability in estimating the damping loss factor compared to previous methods. Several results, with simulated and measured data, are compared with an analytical discrete laminate model and show the accuracy of this technique to recover the damping loss factor of complex structures as function of the frequency and the heading angle. In the second part of the chapter, the impact of different excitation location on the estimation of the wavenumber and the damping loss factor is investigated. A spatial angular filter to rectify the estimation of the damping loss factor is introduced. In the fourth chapter, the image source method with an objective of improving the previous GFC method in the low frequency range and for lightly damped structures is introduced. The proposed method takes into account the reflection at boundaries which is, ignored in the free field Green’s function used in the previous chapter. The performance of the method is investigated for two types of boundary conditions: simply supported and free edges. The identified parameters of the numerical simulations are compared to the previous GFC method and to the analytical discrete laminate model

Повний текст джерелаThe physiological role of the clot is to avoid excessive bleeding in the presence of a vascular breach. Once this function is filled, the clot must be able to be easily destroyed, so that it is not transported in the venous system and does not hamper blood circulation. The formation of a fibrin clot and its lysis are key processes of hemostasis, implying simultaneously the polymerization of the fibrinogen monomers in a fibrin fibers network, and the destruction of this constituted network.Although this network controls the physical and mechanical properties of the clot, its structure at scales smaller than the micron is poorly characterized. The main problem in the physical characterization of clot in clinical settings is the current absence of a quantitative, sensitive and reproducible measurement method.We demonstrated in this work, thanks to our method using several wavelengths, that the analysis of the visible spectra of light transmitted through a clot allows to determine simultaneously, quantitatively and in quasi-physiological conditions, several essential parameters of structure of the fibrin clot, namely the number of protofibrils per fibrin fibers, the radius and the density of fibers, and various times of clotting and lysis of the clot. This method was validated by the results with CV inferior to 6 % under all test conditions and various plasmatic profiles: normal, hypo / hyper coagulant and hypo / hyper fibrinolytic. This demonstrates the robustness and reliability of the measurement method when measuring both clotting and clot lysis.This spectrophotometric method was implemented on a modified automaton dedicated to diagnosis of patients presenting hemostatic disorders. The clinical information and the interests expected from this new test concern at the same time the quality of the fibrin network, its accelerated lysis or its resistance to fibrinolysis, and the resultant of the coagulo-lytic balance

Повний текст джерелаThe geoacoustic inversion can be defined as a way to obtain an image of the oceanic environment (specifically the properties of the bottom) using acoustics waves. By measuring the distortion of a signal which propagated between sources and receivers, it is possible to estimate some physical parameters of the ocean via an inversion process. However, accurate estimates of acoustic properties require the emission of powerful and recurrent signals, but we would rather not send these hard active sounds through the water column in a potential (would-be) military underwater warfare context, or if mammal species health is considered. We explore the use of low frequency noise emitted by moving ships in shallow water environment in order to perform the geoacoustic inversion from a limited number of receivers. The ship movement can be used in order to estimate the water column (sound speed profile) and sea bed properties (sediment layers). We propose to exploit the two components of the ship noise: monochromatic sound and wide-band noise, and those two noises require two different models and inversion schemes. The direct model consists in describing the properties of the source and of the sound propagation in the ocean. As shallow waters and low frequencies are studied, we chose normal mode modelling for propagation. Thanks to this, we were able to identify some interesting parameters to extract from the data: the absolute dispersion curves (for the monochromatic sound) and the relative dispersion curves of the channel (for the wide-band noise). As a pre-processing stage of measurements, we propose several approaches to extract those dispersion curves from the signal we measure: to do so we exploit the modal dispersion phenomenon both for monochromatic and wide-band noises. The modal propagation and the ship movement generate some interferences pattern (BathTub Effect) in the time-frequency domain, winch are directly related to the properties of the environment, and can be used to see the evolution of the radial wave number differences according to frequency. On the other side, for monochromatjc sounds, the Doppler effect can be used de separate the propagation modes and allows us to estimate the radial wave numbers of the channel. Once the relevant dispersion curve are estimated, the inversion is cast as an optimization process in winch a cost function, comparing model and estimation, is used to assess candidate geoacoustic parameters. Finally, our inversion processes are tested and validated by quantifying their performances on synthetic realistic data and on real data from 3 different at sea trials from very shallow water (15 meters) to shallow water environments (135 and 300 meters)
