Повний текст джерелаToday the mobile operating system Android has a firm grip on the mobile market due to its open source code and the availability due to the variety of phones available, from very cheap models to the high-end exclusive ones. However, Android currently has no defined design pattern which causes a bit of a problem during the initial stages of development because the developer has to make that decision before the initial development starts. This sometimes causes excessive complexity in the finished application, which then becomes difficult to test and manage. In this report we compare the two design patterns Passive Model View Controller (PMVC) and Model View View-Model (MVVM) to decide which one is the least complex. For this we used so called metrics to show the complexity of the finished applications. The metrics were calculated using the existing library of functions called Cyclomatic Complexity Numbers (CCN). The study is based on the workflow Design & creation and aim to contribute with: knowledge that will make it easier to choose design pattern when developing an Android application, and if you can with CCN point out which areas in an application will take more or less time to conduct tests on. During the study we also analyzed how big of an impact the Single Responsibility Principle (SRP) had on the complexity. This was part of the study so that we could see the difference of separated views versus non-separated views. The study shows us that the complexity in small applications is very similar, no matter which design pattern you're using. However, it also shows that there are certain parts of the applications that are diverse in their complexity and that code complexity on method-level can give directions to test cases.

Повний текст джерелаCloud computing portrays a new model for providing IT services over the Internet. In cloud computing, resources are accessed from the Internet through web-based tools. Although cloud computing offers reduced cost, increased storage, high automation, flexibility, mobility, and the ability of IT to shift focus, there are other concerns such as the management, organization and structure of content on the cloud that large organizations should consider before migrating to the cloud. This thesis presents an overview of Model View Controller (MVC) architectural pattern and describes how the pattern can be applied to the cloud for content management. The MVC architecture is proposed in this thesis because it divides the aspects of a document into three parts: a model, view and controller, thus allowing elasticity, portability, and interoperability for document objects. The thesis presents a case study to illustrate how MVC can be used to facilitate document collaboration and content management in the cloud, and examines existing document standards to assess their readiness in supporting the MVC document architecture.

It aims to apply the characteristics of an augmented reality environment such as easy and intuitive interaction and large visualization space to the implementation, interaction and visualization of multiple coordinated data views. Multiple data views provide the user a better data analysis on different aspects. The coordination among multiple views reduces the cognitive overload for the user. The augmented environment was based on ARToolKit. The interaction is based on a interface with markers. The adopted visualization technique was the 3D scatterplot together with a variety of filter and view configuration options. Finally, some preliminary usability essays for the developed prototype are presented.
Versa sobre a aplicação das características de um ambiente de realidade aumentada, tais como: interação fácil e intuitiva, e grande espaço para visualização de dados, na implementação, interação e visualização de múltiplas visões de dados coordenadas. As múltiplas visões de dados permitem que o usuário realize uma melhor análise dos dados sobre diferentes aspectos, e a coordenação entre as múltiplas visões tem o objetivo de diminuir a sobrecarga oogniriva conferida ao usuário. O ambiente aumentado foi concebido através do ARToolKit, a interação se dá através de uma interface baseada em cartões marcadores. A técnica implementada foi Dispersão de Dados 3D, acompanhada de uma diversidade de filtros e configurações para as visões de dados. Por fim, são apresentados alguns ensaios de usabilidade preliminares do protótipo desenvolvido.

A regulação cardiovascular de curto prazo mediada pelos ramos simpático e parassimpático do sistema nervoso autônomo tem sido investigada por modelagem multivariada autoregressiva (MVAR), tendo se sedimentado como uma poderosa ferramenta de análise nas pesquisas clínicas. Modelos MVAR empregam a frequência cardíaca (FC), a pressão arterial sistólica (PAS) e a forma de onda do fluxo respiratório (RESP). ECG (a partir do qual é obtido a série FC) e a atividade respiratória podem ser facilmente captados dos pacientes. No entanto, os métodos envolvidos na aquisição da PAS (batimento a batimento) dificultam a utilização dos modelos MVAR durante exames clínicos. Estudos recentes mostram uma correlação inversa entre o tempo de trânsito da onda de pulso (PWTT) e as flutuações da PAS. PWTT é o intervalo de tempo decorrido entre a onda R do ECG e a base da onda de pulso captada com fotopletismografia no mesmo ciclo cardíaco. Este trabalho investiga a viabilidade do uso do inverso da série PWTT (IPWTT) como uma alternativa para medidas invasivas de PAS em modelagem MVAR da regulação cardiovascular. Para isso, as séries FC, RESP e IPWTT amostradas de voluntários durante alterações posturais e bloqueio autônomico foram aplicadas a modelos MVAR. Os resultados obtidos mostram que a série IPWTT pode ser utilizada em substituição das medições de PAS, a fim de superar as dificuldades práticas relacionadas com a amostragem contínua da PAS durante os exames clínicos. Isto abre a perspectiva de ampla utilização de modelagem MVAR para avaliação da função autonômica em exames clínicos de rotina, possibilitando uma melhor caracterização da enfermidade ou condição física do indivíduo.
Abstract : Short-term cardiovascular regulation mediated by the sympathetic and parasympathetic branches of the autonomic nervous system has been investigated by multivariate autoregressive (MVAR) modeling, providing insightful analysis. MVAR models employ heart rate (HR), systolic blood pressure (SBP) and respiratory waveforms. ECG (from which HR series is obtained) and respiratory flow waveform (RFW) can be easily sampled from the patients. Nevertheless, the available methods for acquisition of beat-to-beat SBP measurements during exams hamper the wider use of MVAR models in clinical research. Recent studies show an inverse correlation between pulse wave transit time (PWTT) series and SBP fluctuations. PWTT is the time interval between the ECG R-wave peak and photoplethysmography waveform (PPG) base point within the same cardiac cycle. This work investigates the feasibility of using inverse PWTT (IPWTT) series as an alternative input to SBP for MVAR modeling of the cardiovascular regulation. For that, HR, RFW and IPWTT series acquired from volunteers during postural changes and autonomic blockade were used applied to MVAR models. Obtained results show that IPWTT series can be used in place of SBP measurements in order to overcome practical difficulties related to the continuous sampling of the SPB during clinical exams. This opens the prospect of widespread use of MVAR modeling for assessment of autonomic function in clinical routine, allowing a better characterization of disease or physical condition of the individual.

Esta dissertação apresenta o desenvolvimento de um novo algoritmo adaptativo para conformação de feixe em arranjos de antenas com redução de posto. O novo algoritmo é baseado na estratégia de redução de posto proposta para o algoritmo JIO-CMV-SG (joint and iterative optimization - constrained minimum variance - stochastic gradient), que utiliza otimização conjunta e iterativa entre a matriz de redução de posto e os coeficientes do filtro de conformação de feixe. O algoritmo JIO-CMV-SG, conforme demonstrado neste trabalho, não é capaz de garantir, sob certas situações, ganho unitário na direção do SOI (signal-of-interest), como determinado pelo critério MVDR (minimum variance distortionless response). O algoritmo proposto foi formulado de modo que essa restrição seja sempre atendida, independente do cenário de operação considerado. Este trabalho apresenta também uma análise estocástica visando obter o modelo de primeira ordem do algoritmo proposto. Comparações entre o algoritmo proposto e os algoritmos JIO-CMV-SG e CLMS (constrained least-mean-square) em termos de complexidade computacional e de desempenho são também apresentadas. Resultados de simulações numéricas são mostrados a fim de comprovar a eficácia do algoritmo proposto.
Abstract: This work presents a novel reduced-rank adaptive beamforming algorithm for antenna arrays. The new algorithm is based on the rank-reducing strategy proposed for the JIO-CMV-SG (joint and iterative optimization - constrained minimum variance - stochastic gradient) algorithm, which considers a joint-iterative optimization process to update both the rank-reducing matrix and the beamforming coefficients. The JIO-CMV-SG algorithm, as demonstrated in this document, is unable to ensure, under some circumstances, the unit gain constraint of the original MVDR (minimum variance distortionless response) criterion. The proposed algorithm was formulated in such a way that the unit gain constraint is always met, irrespective of the operating scenario. This dissertation also presents a first order stochastic model of the proposed algorithm as well as compares such an algorithm with the JIO-CMV-SG and the CLMS (constrained least-mean-square) in terms of computational burden and performance. The performance of these algorithms are assessed through numerical simulations, which confirm the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Web applications are constantly updated to incorporate new functionality and improve software quality. Web applications are developed based on Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture. MVC architecture divides the application into different modules: user interface, intermediate controller, and data persistence. This modular approach helps achieve loose coupling between user interface and business logic, and it facilitates ease in maintenance of application and independence in upgrading the application.
The project showcases the benefits of using MVC architecture, Spring MVC Framework, and Restful service integration. It reflects upon the system analysis and design models built by using Object Oriented Analysis and Design methodology and Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams.
The application presents travel data from different travel modes in a unified view for efficient decision making. Users can schedule future travel plans and be notified about those plans.

Повний текст джерелаThe goal of this project was to design a timesheet system for Online CC AB in order to make time reporting more efficient for their customers. The system is a web application that is to be used for time reporting in-which, later on can be exported to a salary system of their choice for salary transactions of personnel. This system is the foundation for a future, all-in-one system with extended functionality. The product was produced using Extreme Programming and Test-Driven Development. During development the development team worked with well-renowned and well-tried methods to ensure a system with the utmost quality. The web application utilizes modern technologies and frame-works for web development – including Microsoft’s ASP.NET MVC 4 and Entity Framework. It’s shown that app development is a diffuse field in which the latest tools within the field do not comparatively simplify the work. A system that works on as-well as mobile units, in the form of a hybrid application, as stationary units, in the form of a web application, demands the development team to be experienced within respective fields. At the end of the project not all requirements are met – however due to us using Test-Driven Development, the system is fully operational. Those requirements that were implemented are done so fully. Furthermore, it’s shown that the latest technologies and frame-works not always are best-suited for usage. More well-tried methods and technologies can in some cases be more appropriate

It is an architectural pattern that is useful for structuring software applications. MVC divides an application into three components: 1) Model, 2) View, and 3) Controller. This separation provides great modularity, which results in ease of maintenance for systems employing this architecture. A software framework is a collection of modules and connectors that embody a given software architecture. In the spirit of software reuse, the Spring Framework has been integrated for implementing the MVC architecture.
In this document, a Web Application is presented that demonstrates the features and characteristics of the MVC architecture and Spring Framework. All the development technologies that are used in the Web-application will be discussed along with the Object-Oriented-Analysis and Design methodology.

But truly live games can only be made by a sufficiently powerful artificial intelligence that can interact with the player, the environment and other objects controlled by artificial intelligence. The object of the study is the environment in which there will be different units of artificial intelligence. Artificial Intelligence Unit is a separate object in a virtual environment that is managed by a separate artificial intelligence unit. Investigation of the environment where there will be stay, interaction, survival of such units. The purpose of the development is to develop such a virtual environment, in which there can be a significant number of such units with artificial intelligence, which will interact, develop, survive in this virtual environment. The design used the MVC (model-view-controller) architecture, the work was written using the Java programming language and LWJGL and LibGDX technologies.

Själva webbshoppen skulle ha ett fungerande flöde, från försäljning och visning av kort till genomförd beställning och e-postbekräftelse till den e-post som kunden angivit. Denna webbplats och alla dess funktioner skapas med ASP.NET Core MVC som backend, samt SASS, HTML5 och JavaScript som frontend. SayHi är namnet som applikationen tilldelades, och ska ligga tillgänglig på en domän med samma namn. Målet med applikationen är att skapa en webbshop som fungerar fullt ut, men med faktura som enda tillgängliga betalmedel. Webbplatsen ska se attraktiv ut för besökare, och den ska validera och genomgå användartester innan den anses vara färdig. Resultatet av detta arbete är en fungerande webbshop som möjliggör försäljningen av gratulationskort på ett användarvänligt sätt.

Neste processo, é importante ter em consideração diversos fatores que vão ao encontro dos objetivos do projeto que se pretende desenvolver, bem como da empresa e da equipa de desenvolvimento. Desta forma, neste documento procura-se definir e caracterizar os melhores critérios para a seleção de uma Framework mvc javascript para aplicações web e móveis.
The Framework web is a concept that has become increasingly known by virtue of its ability to facilitate and help programmers and business managers when it comes to structuring and managing code. Nowadays there are several Frameworks available through which it is possible to improve the efficiency of the organization and definition of multiplicity of functionalities and programming stages of web applications. Due to the wide range of Frameworks available, most of them very similar, the process of choosing the ideal Framework becomes much more complex. Throughout this process, it is crucial to take into account several factors that meet the objectives of the project that is going to be developed, as well as those of the company and the development team. Although there are enrollment services available, they involve mandatory check-ins and paperwork. GoSchoolPro portal eases the process of enrollment for the students by providing convenient services. This portal will not only help in facilitating the process for the incoming students but will also give voice to the past experiences of the alumni. It will be a student democrat: For the students and by the students.
The current project presents GoSchoolPro as a web application, which leverages the Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture as its foundation and implements the Active Server Pages using Dot NET (ASP.NET) framework. GoSchoolPro uses the backbone of the Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) methodology and other Software Engineering (SE) best practices.

When a software development company wants to achieve its goals on time and efficiently use its staff on the projects, it is necessary for the company to have hands on information related to number of employees working on various projects along with their skill set and the number of employees still needed to complete the projects on time. Resource Planner is a convenient tool to handle various projects in a software company efficiently. It is an online tool to manage projects currently running with the company as well as future projects. This tool tracks the employees working for the existing projects and details of new projects like no. of employees required, location, etc., and also estimates revenue which helps higher management to know the status of the various projects and work force. With this tool, HR can estimate the requirement of employees for the new projects and hence can recruit exact number of employees. The project manager can view the details of the employees in the company and the employees in his projects. He can also get the information of how many employees are there in a particular project and their skill set. When he wants employees for a particular project, he can add that information mentioning how many are working on the project and how many employees are totally needed for the project. This information can be had both for online and offline projects. This information is used in generating a special report called GAP summary. This application is developed using Java Spring MVC Framework and MySql database. The main goal of the project is to get familiar with Spring MVC Framework.

Повний текст джерелаNowadays, some projects of genomes of different organisms are being analyzed generating a great volume of data, which are stored in heterogeneous and distributed data sources. Moreover, there are available tools in the genome domain that also need to be integrated. Another problem is that the systems developed for these objectives do not offer all the support to the researchers, therefore in their majority do not possess flexibility and are of difficult expansion. The proposal of this work is the development of a software component framework, called FrameEST, developed with the most recent technologies of reuses, that structures and guides the development of different applications of molecular biology domain. The FrameEST is available for reuses of the applications: in the phase of modeling in a CASE tool and the phase of implementation as one plug-in in the Eclipse enviroment. A case study is used to illustrate the FrameEST reuse.
Atualmente, vários projetos de genomas de diferentes seres vivos estão sendo mapeados gerando um grande volume de dados, os quais são armazenados em fontes de dados heterogêneas e distribuídas. Além disso, existem ferramentas disponíveis no domínio de genomas que também necessitam serem integradas. Outro problema é que os sistemas desenvolvidos para este fim não atendem aos pesquisadores, pois na sua grande maioria não possuem flexibilidade e são de difícil expansão. A proposta deste trabalho é o desenvolvimento de um framework de componentes de software, denominado FrameEST, desenvolvido com as mais recentes tecnologias de reuso, que estrutura e orienta o desenvolvimento de diferentes aplicações do domínio de biologia molecular. O FrameEST está disponível para reuso das aplicações: na fase de modelagem em uma ferramenta CASE e na fase de implementação como um plug-in no ambiente Eclipse. Um estudo de caso é utilizado para ilustrar o reuso do FrameEST.

The speed of a low-earth orbit (LEO) satellites and the large number of LEO satellites flying on the sky is an obstacle for signal transmission and anti-jamming processing at ground stations. The Doppler effect due to the LEO satellite rapid moving velocity is a nonneglectable factor for beamforming techniques, which aim to cancel the co-channel interferences (CCI) caused by other simultaneous satellite communications. In this work, the minimum variance distortionless response (MVDR) beamforming technique is used at a ground station to mitigate the CCI problem; however, the Doppler effect becomes a serious problem as it affects the steering vector corresponding to thedirection of the target LEO satellite. To overcome this problem, we take the Doppler effect into account in the steering vector associated with the LEO satellite, and then substitute the modified steering vector to the gain constraint in a MVDR beamformer. Simulation results verify that the proposed method effectively overcome the performance degradation problem of the MVDR beamformer at the ground station. The solution for this problem can be useful for developing a LEO satellite communication system.

Neutrophils are phagocytic cells of the innate immune system that play a crucial role in host defence and inflammatory responses. It is well known that high concentrations of reactive oxygen species and granule proteases produced by activated neutrophils contribute to the pathogenesis of inflammatory diseases. Chalcone is abundantly present in the plant kingdom and has various biological activities such as anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. Herein, the anti-inflammatory effect of MVBR-28, a Mannich base of heterocyclic chalcone, and its underlying mechanisms were investigated in human neutrophils. Our data showed that MVBR-28 has potent inhibitory effects on superoxide anion generation, reactive oxygen species production, elastase release, and CD11b expression in N-formyl-methionyl-leucyl -phenylalanine (FMLP)-induced human neutrophils. However, MVBR-28 displayed no abilities in the reduction of radical generation, superoxide anion production, and elastase activity in cell-free systems, and it failed to alter subcellular NADPH oxidase activity. MVBR-28 did not affect cellular cAMP concentrations, and the inhibitory effects of MVBR-28 were not reversed by inhibitors of protein kinase A and protein phosphatase. MVBR-28 only caused a slight decrease of FMLP-induced phosphorylations of ERK, JNK, p38 MAPK, and Akt. Significantly, MVBR-28 showed potent inhibition on Ca2+ mobilization in FMLP- and thapsigargin-activated human neutrophils. Furthermore, FMLP-induced intracellular alkalinization was reduction by MVBR-28, which was independent of intracellular Ca2+ concentration. In summary, the present study shows that MVBR-28 inhibits human neutrophil proinflammatory responses, including respiratory burst, degranulation, and adhesion. These anti-inflammatory effects are attributed to the intracellular acidification and inhibition of calcium entry. Our data suggest that MVBR-28 might have future potential to be developed as a novel anti-inflammatory agent for improving neutrophilic inflammatory diseases.

This thesis deals with directional of arrival (DOA) and beamforming technique based on minimum variance distortionless response (MVDR) for nonuniform linear array (NULA) for time-space systems. Most of research topics, the array configuration always be assumed as uniform linear array (ULA) for adaptive antenna array. Due to the application requirement, the use of NULA is still necessary. Although this traditional searching-based MVDR estimator can offer more accuracy DOA estimation under the NULA scenario, it is computationally quite expensive. Moreover, the complexity and the estimation accuracy strictly depend on the grid size that is used during the search. It is well known that the conventional polynomial rooting method can be used to replace the conventional spectrum searching method to reduce the computational load for ULA. Under the NULA, the steering vectors of the signal sources do not have the Vandermonde structure. Therefore, the polynomial rooting method can be used directly. The MVDR beamformer has better resolution and much better interference rejection capability than the conventional beamformer. But it is well known that this method may suffer from significant performance degradation when there is even a small DOA estimate error of antenna array. However, more accuracy DOA estimate is necessary for MVDR beamforming. To cure this problem, a DOA estimate approach with high resolution and low computational load is presented in this thesis. A coarse DOA estimate is first determined from a MVDR estimator. Next, the preliminary DOA estimate is then sent to the Taylor series expansion based estimator to form fine-estimation. The last step is to fine-tune the residual angle error by using the fast iterative estimate method, which can provide more accuracy estimate value for MVDR beamformer to protect desired signal while to obtain better interference rejection capability. Finally, several simulation results are provided for illustrating the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
