According to the characteristics of the fringe patterns noise, came up with a small area spin filtering noise cancellation algorithm based on parallel marker technology. It means that preprocess the fringe pattern before spin filtering, then did a median filter and calculated the stripe direction, finally used the extract the fringe direction to spin filtering of the original image. The algorithm can marked several targets in scanning process at the same time. So it has a high efficiency. The algorithm can be used in the multi-frequency heterodyne phase shift technology .And we can use the technology to complete the measurement of complex surfaces. Experimental results show that the method has a distinct advantage in measurement accuracy, measurement speed, and noise immunity.

In this paper the harmonic stability is investigated for multi paralleled three-phase photovoltaic inverters connected to grid. The causes to harmonically stabilize/destabilize the multi-paralleled PV inverters when tied to the grid isanalysed by the impedance-based stability criterion (IBSC). In this paper stability of the system is investigated by varying the grid inductance with constant grid resistance and also by varying load impedance while maintaining grid inductance constant. Stability of the multiple three phase inverters tied to the grid with different grid impedance, inductance value inparticular are analyzed. Overall system is stable up to grid inductance of5mH even though there is change in load admittance. It is concluded that system stability depends only on grid impedance. It is verified with Matlab Simulations.

In this study, we present a three-dimensional (3-D), multi-scale, multi-physics lithium-ion battery (LIB) model wherein a microscale spherical particle model is applied to an electrode particle domain and a comprehensive 3-D continuum model is applied to a single cell domain consisting of current collectors, porous electrodes, and a separator. Particular emphasis is placed on capturing the phase transition process inside the lithium iron phosphate (LFP) particles that significantly influences the LIB charge and discharge behaviors. The model is first validated against the experimental data measured at various discharge rates. In general, the model predictions compare well with the experimental data and further highlight key electrochemical and transport phenomena occurring in LIBs. Besides elucidating the phase transition evolution inside LFP particles and location-specific heat generation mechanism, multi-dimensional contours of species concentration, temperature, and current density are analyzed under a 3-D cell configuration to provide valuable insight into the charge and discharge characteristics of LIBs. The present multi-scale LIB model can be applied to a realistic LIB geometry to search for the optimal design and operating conditions.

Here, we report multi-level storage (MLS) in multi-layer (ML) and single-layer (SL) phase change memories (PCM). For the former ML-PCM device, the active medium with two layers of chalcogenide consists of a top 30 nm TiN/180 nm SbTeN/20 nm TiN/bottom 120 nm SbTeN stacked multi-layer. Three stable and distinct resistance states are demonstrated in both static and dynamic switching characteristics of the multi-layer devices. For the latter SL-PCM device, the active medium with only one layer of chalcogenide consists of a top 50 nm TiN/150 nm SbTeN. We demonstrate that the number of distinguishable resistance levels can readily reach 16 and even higher. These levels in this study result from the initial threshold switching and the subsequent current-controlled crystallization induced by Joule heating. Therefore, the latter memory allows the creation of many distinct levels, thus enabling the low-cost ultra-high-density non-volatile memory.

Three phase induction motors are employed in Textile mills, Agriculture and in almost all the machine tools. More than 60% of electrical energy generated being consumed by the induction motors. Hence, even a small contribution in the improvement of the power factor and efficiency will be cost effective. The power factor and efficiency of an induction motor is based on the shaft load and in order to improve the same, multi windings are suggested in the same stator. In multi winding induction machines, when one set of windings is connected to a three phase a supply, a revolving magnetic field of constant magnitude is developed in the air gap which is responsible to work as a conventional induction motor to meet the mechanical load and to develop a three phase EMF in the other winding that works as an Induction Alternator (IA).Double Winding Induction Motor (DWIM) also provides an opportunity to load each winding individually to its rated capacity. A small three phase load or a single phase load may be connected to the second set of winding. The dependency of separate supply for this load is eliminated. Hence, improvement in the efficiency, power factor and energy conservation is made possible in these machines. In order to validate the problem statement, a 3-phase, 3.0 kW, 415 V Double Winding Induction Motor(DWIM), a 3-phase, 3.0 kW, 415 V Double Winding Synchronous Reluctance Motor (DWSyRM), a 3-phase, 2.2 kW, 415 V Three Winding Induction Motor (TWIM) have been designed, fabricated and tested. Two controllers have been designed, one for a DWIM to operate the motor in power balancing and maximum efficiency modes of operation and other to operate TWIM at three different voltage levels depending upon the shaft load. In this paper, detailed comparisons of performances of three multi winding machines are presented.

In this view, here five phase VSI has developed. This paper aims at comparing the performance of conventional two level inverter Diode clamped and Capacitor clamped topologies of 5-phase multilevel inverter (3-level) using sinusoidal pulse width modulation. SPWM is highly economical, has more efficiency, controllability. These circuits are analyzed by using simulation software package such as MATLAB.

In addition, this rectification process requires a large enough capacitor if you want to reduce the voltage ripple from the rectification result. The larger the capacitor, the smaller the ripple, but the higher the cost of the capacitor. So the author chose the title of the final project «Design of Electrical Power Transformation from 3 Phase to 9 Phase System Using an Iron Core Transformer. Problem Formulation How to design a multi-phase transformer, especially a 3-phase to 9-phase transformer. How to design a multi-phase transformer construction. For multiphase transformers, especially transformers from 3 phases to 9 phases, 3 single phase transformers can be used which have one coil on the primary side and 5 coils on the secondary side. To get a voltage on phase 2 with the same amplitude of 100 volts with phase 1 only 40 degrees different in phase, then a voltage of 113 volts on phase 1 with a phase angle of 0 degrees, plus a voltage on phase 4 of 74 volts with a phase angle 120 degrees. Then to get a voltage on phase 3 with the same amplitude of 100 volts, it takes a voltage of 74 volts on phase 1 with an angle of 0 degrees, plus a voltage on phase 4 of 113 volts with a phase angle of 120 degrees. trying to make this 3 phase to 9 phase transformer by using the construction of 1 3 phase transformer. do the calculation of the transformer power that will be designed.

We have used resonant multi-beam diffraction with the primary reflections G=(h/2 h/2 0) and G=(h/4 h/4 0) (h is an odd number) to investigate the charge ordering and Jahn-Teller distortion, respectively, in La0.5Sr1.5MnO4 low temperature phase. While the Renninger scans with G=(h/2 h/2 0) shows several Aulfhellung-type four-beam diffraction, most of the multi-beam diffraction with G=(h/4 h/4 0) has an Umweganregung-type nature. A detailed study of multi-beam diffraction anomalous fine structure (M-DAFS) of (0 0 0)/(3/2 3/2 0)/(1 -1 0)/(5/2 1/2 0) OUT diffraction is carried out. Its triplet invariant phase approach 1800when the x-ray energy is tuned away from manganese K-edge, and approach 900when the x-ray energy is tuned on manganese K-edge. In other words, its multi-beam diffraction profile shows strong asymmetry when (3/2 3/2 0) diffraction intensity is dominated by Jahn-Teller distortion, and becomes more symmetric when charge ordering dominated. This characteristic can be successfully simulated by tensor form dynamical x-ray diffraction theory accompanied with FDMNES software [1] calculations.

When queue is too long, it will harm the customer, therefore improving system servicing and optimizing the number of servers expected to reduce the queue, so the process of waiting does not happen too long. In the process of payment of motor vehicle tax at SAMSAT Palu City, it has been known that the queuing system using model Multi Channel- Multi Phase. Thissystem occurs if there are two or more facilities serving with services more than one phase. The ains of thisreseareh are to determine the characteristics of quene system and to know the number of person that required in the process of rehiele tax payment so that the service becomes optimal. The results stated that each phases of 1,2,3 and 4 is consist of 2 person, and motor vehicle tax payment servises in SAMSAT Palu is 108,9 minutes forone customer. Once optimized, an alternative solution to queue problem in SAMSAT Palu city is added person.The addition of 3 person at phase 1, 4 person phase 2, 5 person at phase 3 and phase 4. Will shorten the queuelength from (108,9) minutes to (29,76) minutes for one customer.Keywords : Model Multi Channel- Multi Phase, Samsat Queue.

This paper designed a 3/12 phase circular phase shifting transformer applied to multi-pulse rectifier. The transformer is built by using rotating magnetic field principle, and the ferromagnetic structure is similar to an induction motor. Compared with the general column iron core phase shifting transformer, the circular phase shifting transformer has the advantages of compact structure, more symmetric magnetic circuit, and the design of primary and secondary winding is more simple. This paper established the mathematical model of the circular shifting transformer, the voltage equations are derived. Then analysis the inhibitory effect of harmonic wave in 24 pulse rectifier. Verify the feasibility of the circular phase shifting transformer through the experiment, when the circular phase shifting transformer is applied to multi-pulse rectifier, it is effective to suppress the harmonic wave of the Power grid.

The paper tests the changes in the pH value of the anolyte and catholyte. The 3-D multi-phase 3-D multi-current conductivity values analyze the electricity generation process and energy utilization of the microbial fuel cell (AMFC) and provide a theory for improving the AMFC following the performance. The test results show that with the operation of AMFC, the pH value of the anolyte and the 3-D multi-flow conductivity show a downward trend, the pH value of the catholyte and the 3-D multi-flow conductivity show an upward trend, and the ratio of the pH value of the catholyte the pH value of the anolyte is about 0.30-0.50 higher, and the average 3-D multi-current conductivity of the anolyte and catholyte does not change much. When AMFC operates stably, the internal ohmic resistance is 29.69 ?, the limiting current is 2.69 mA, the maximum output power is about 0.8 mW, and the corre?sponding internal resistance is about 95.72 ?. The mass transmission of potassium ferricyanide is the limiting factor of limiting current. Numerical analysis of 3-D multi-phase flow found that other microorganisms consume 91.1% of the glucose in AMFC anolyte, and only 8.9% of the glucose is used for power generation. The 88.5% of the energy of the glucose used for power generation is converted into other forms of energy, only 11.5% of the energy is converted into electricity.

This paper presents a design and analysis of multi-phase brushless direct current (BLDC) motor for electric vehicles (EV). In this work, hub-wheels having 110Nm, 900rpm rated values have been designed for the proposed EV. This EV can produce 440 Nm without using transmission, differential and other mechanical components which have very high losses due to the mechanical fraction. The motors to be used in the EV have been designed as 3-, 5- and 7-phase by Infolytica/Motor Solve Software to compare their performances at the same load conditions. The same rotor geometry has been utilized for the motors. However, slot numbers and dimensions of the stator have been determined by considering the motor phase number. Performance curves of phase-currents, output powers, torques, efficiencies and power factors have been presented for these motors at the same operating conditions. It can be possible to use lower power switches in motor drive system thanks to the phase current reduction since the phase currents decrease proportionally to motor phase number. This work shows that the multi-phase BLDC motors are a good alternative in order to obtain lower torque and lower power inverter structure than the 3-phase BLDC motors which are used as standard.

We analyze multi-instanton sector in two-dimensional U(N) Yang-Mills theory on a sphere. We obtain a contour integral representation of the multi-instanton amplitude and find “neutral” configurations of the even number instantons dominate in the large-N limit. Using this representation, we calculate the 1-, 2-, 3-, 4-body interactions and the free energies for N=3, 4, 5 numerically and find that the multi-instanton interaction effect essentially contributes to the large-N phase transition discovered by Douglas and Kazakov.

In order to improve the thermal performance of thermal energy storage systems, a packed bed thermal energy storage systems unit using spherical capsules filled with multiple phase change materials (multi-PCM) for use in conventional air-conditioning systems is presented. A 3-D mathematical model was established to investigate the charging characteristics of the thermal energy storage systems unit. The optimum proportion between the multi-PCM was identified. The effects of heat transfer fluid-flow rate and heat transfer fluid inlet temperature on the liquid phase change materials volume fraction, charging time and charging capacity of the thermal energy storage system unit are studied. The results indicate that the charging capacity of multi-PCM units is higher than that of the conventional single-PCM (HY-2). For proportions 0:1:0, 2:3:3, 3:2:3, 3:3:2, 4:1:3, and 4:2:2, the charging capacity decreases by approximately 24.84%, 14.69%, 6.47%, 3.82%, and 1.13%, respectively, compared to the 4:2:2 proportion. Moreover, decreasing the heat transfer fluid inlet temperature can obviously shorten the complete charging time of the thermal energy storage systems unit.

Dual multi-phase intermetallic alloy, which is composed of Ni3Al(L12) and Ni solid solution (A1) phases at high temperature annealing and is additionally refined by a eutectoid reaction at low temperature annealing, according to which the Al phase is transformed into the Ni3Al(L12)+Ni3V(D022) phases, was prepared. High-temperature tension and creep test were conducted using single crystalline materials. The alloy with such a novel microstructure showed extremely high yield and tensile stresses with good temperature retention. The creep test conducted at high temperature showed extremely low creep rate and creep rupture time when compared with advanced Ni-based superalloys. The results obtained are promising for the development of a new-type of high-temperature structural materials.

A second phase broadens our focus to the development of multiple temperament dimensions and developmental outcomes in a new cohort of 300 twin pairs to be assessed at 3, 4, and 5 years of age. In the conventional methods of multi-distance phase retrieval, the diffraction intensity patterns are recorded at equal intervals, which can induce slow convergence or stagnation in the subsequent reconstruction process. To solve this problem, a measurement method with unequal intervals is proposed in this paper. The interval spacings between adjacent measurement planes are decreased gradually. A large gap accelerates retrieval progress, and a short span helps to recover detailed information. The proposed approach makes full use of the available measured dataset and simultaneously generates variations in diversity amplitude, which is a crucial issue for the techniques of multi-image phase retrieval. Both computational simulations and experiments are performed. The results demonstrate that this method can improve the convergence speed by 2 to 3 times and enhance the quality of reconstruction results in comparison to that of the conventional methods.

2500 Background: There has been a suggested increase in the number of multi-institutional phase I trials over the past decade. Methods: We reviewed all published phase I studies between 1/98 and 12/05 from the Journal of Clinical Oncology and Clinical Cancer Research. 452 phase I studies were identified. The following data were obtained from each study: sponsor (NIH/foreign equivalent vs. pharma), year published, number of participating institutions, mechanism of drug action (8 categories; most common are cytotoxic and targeted therapies), country, number of patients accrued, accrual time and study endpoint (maximum tolerated dose-MTD vs. optimal biological dose- OBD). Results: 55% of phase I trials were single institutional and 21% accrued patients from = 3 institutions. There was no increase over time in the number of multi-institutional studies and no significant association was seen between sponsor and number of institutions. No association was seen between mechanism of drug action and number of participating institutions. There was a highly significant association between number of institutions and number of patients enrolled with multi-institutional studies having higher number of patients per trial (p=0.0003). Pharmaceutical sponsored studies are associated with a greater number of patients per trial (mean 32.8±0.9) as compared to government sponsored (28.4±1) (p<0.05). Only 34% of trials report accrual time. Accrual time is increased in multi-institutional studies (= 3 centers) as compared to single institutional studies (mean 25 vs 22.5 mos) but does not reach statistical significance (p=0.613). No correlation was seen between endpoint of the phase I trial (MTD vs OBD) and number of institutions. OBD studies were strongly associated with agents defined as “targeted”. Studies of cytotoxic agents defined the MTD in 99% of trials versus only 64% of agents categorized as targeted therapies (p<0.0001). Conclusions: Although there has been no increase in the number of published multi-institutional phase I studies, these multi- institutional trials accrue more patients only to reach the same study endpoint but at a cost of greater accrual time. Abstract A study was conducted to determine the effect of adding a multi-enzyme product to corn-SBM-DDGS-based diet on growth performance of weaned pigs. A total of 132 pigs weaned at 21 d of age (initial BW=7.5±1.5kg) were blocked by weight and housed in pens of 4 barrows (6) or gilts (5) per pen (n = 11). The diets consisted of: 1) a corn-SBM-based diet with high animal-by products (Comp); 2) a corn-SBM-based diet with 5 to 15% DDGS and reduced animal-by products (Simp); and 3) Simp with a multi-enzyme product that supplied 4,000 U of xylanase, 150 U of β-glucanase, 150 U of amylase and 3,000 U of protease/kg (Simp+ENZ). All diets were isoenergetic and met the NRC (2012) recommendations for weaned pigs. The diets were fed for 6 weeks with a 3-phase-feeding program: phase-1, 0–7 d; phase-2, 7–21 d and phase-3, 21–42 d post-wean. A Buttiauxella spp. phytase was supplemented at 2000, 1250 and 1250 FTU/kg for phase-1, 2 and 3, respectively. Pharmaceutical level of Zn was only included in phase 1 and 2 at 3000 and 2000 ppm, respectively. Performance was measured by phase and analyzed using SAS MIXED model with repeated measure. Average ADG from 0–42 d was 521, 465 and 434 g/day in pigs fed Comp, Simp+ENZ and Simp diet, respectively (P &lt; 0.05). The ADFI was 861, 765 and 778 from 0–42 d in pigs fed Comp, Simp and Simp+ENZ (P &lt; 0.05). Final BW for pigs fed Simp+ENZ was 1.36 kg heavier than those fed Simp (26.93 vs. 25.57 kg, P &lt; 0.05). Fecal score was not affected by feeding Simp diet with or without enzyme as compared to those fed Comp diets (P &gt; 0.05). In conclusion, the multi-enzyme solution significantly improved ADG when piglets were fed a diet containing low animal by-products and high DDGS.

Abstract Objective was to determine the effects of supplementing corn-soybean meal-based diets with a multi-enzyme on growth performance and apparent total tract digestibility (ATTD) of nutrients in growing pigs. A total of 276 pigs (BW = 33.99 ± 4.3 kg) were housed by sex in 45 pens of 6 or 7 pigs and fed 5 diets (9 pens/diet) in a randomized complete block design. Diets were positive control (PC); and negative control 1 (NC1) or negative control 2 (NC2) without or with multi-enzyme. The multi-enzyme used supplied at least 1,250, 860, 4,600, and 1,000 units of xylanase, β-glucanase, arabinofuranosidase and phytase per kilogram of diet, respectively. The PC was adequate in all nutrients according to NRC (2012) recommendations and had greater digestible P content than NC1 diet or NC2 diet by 0.134 percentage points. The NC1 diet had lower NE and digestible AA content than PC diet by 3%. The NC2 diet had lower NE and digestible AA content than PC diet by 5%. The diets were fed in 4 phases based on BW; Phase 1: 34–50 kg, Phase 2: 50–75 kg, Phase 3: 75–100 kg, and Phase 4: 100–120 kg. Nutrient digestibility was determined at the end of Phase 1. Overall (34–120 kg BW), pigs fed the PC and NC1 diets did not differ in ADG and ADFI. Pigs fed NC2 diet had lower (PPPP > 0.10). Supplemental multi-enzyme increased (P = 0.047) the ATTD of GE for NC2 diet. In conclusion, the NE and digestible AA and P can be lowered by ≤ 5% in multi-enzyme-supplemented diets without effects on growth performance pigs.

9094 Background: A variety of oncogene drivers have been identified in NSCLC and molecularly-stratified precision medicine has led to improved survival in advanced NSCLC. Next-generation sequencing (NGS)-based testing is utilized to detect actionable gene alterations; however, the TAT of NGS is often too long to translate into clinical decision making. Thus, rapid multi-gene testing alternatives are needed. Methods: A lung cancer genomic screening project (LC-SCRUM-Asia) capturing clinical outcome was established in 2013 to identify patients with oncogene drivers and to support the development of novel targeted therapies. Since February 2013 to May 2019 (LC-SCRUM-Asia 1st-phase), single gene testing and/or a targeted NGS assay, Oncomine Comprehensive Assay (OCA), were used for the genomic screening. Since June 2019 to December 2020 (2nd-phase), a multi-gene PCR assay (Amoy 9-in-1 test) and a rapid NGS assay (Genexus/Oncomine Precision Assay [OPA]) were also implemented as rapid multi-gene testing. Results: A total of 10667 Japanese NSCLC patients, including 6826 in the 1st-phase and 3841 in the 2nd-phase, were enrolled in the LC-SCRUM-Asia. Success rate for OCA: 93%, for 9-in-1 test: 98%, for Genexus/OPA: 96%. Median TAT for OCA: 21 days, for 9-in-1 test: 3 days, for Genexus/OPA: 4 days. The frequencies of genetic alterations detected in the 1st-/2nd-phase were EGFR: 17/24%, KRAS: 15/16%, HER2 ex20ins: 4/3%, ALK fusions: 3/3%, RET fusions: 3/2%, ROS1 fusions: 3/2%, MET ex14skip: 2/2%, BRAF V600E: 1/1%, NRG1 fusions: 0/0.2% and NTRK3 fusions: 0.05/0.04%. Overall percent agreement of 9-in-1 test compared with OCA for EGFR/KRAS/HER2/BRAF/MET/ALK/ROS1/RET/NTRK3 alterations was 98%, and that of OPA compared with OCA was 95%. The rate of patients who received targeted therapies as 1st-line treatment was significantly elevated in the 2nd-phase compared with the 1st-phase (510/3841 [13%] vs. 567/6826 [8%], p < 0.001). Through the genomic screening, 1410 (37%) and 1269 (18%) candidate patients for clinical trials of KRAS, HER2, BRAF, MET, ALK, ROS1, RET or TRK-targeted drugs were identified in the 2nd-phase and in the 1st-phase, respectively. The rate of patients who were actually enrolled into the genotype-matched clinical trials were also significantly higher in the 2nd-phase than in the 1st-phase (222 [6%] vs. 186 [3%], p < 0.001). In 1st-line treatments for advanced NSCLC patients, the median progression-free survival was 8.5 months (95% CI, 7.7−9.4) in the 2nd-phase (n = 1839) versus 6.1 months (95% CI, 5.9−6.3) in the 1st-phase (n = 4262) (p < 0.001). Conclusions: Both the 9-in-1 test and Genexus/OPA had short TATs (3−4 days), high success rates (96−98%) and good concordance (95−98%) compared with another NGS assay (OCA). These rapid multi-gene assays highly contributed to enabling precision medicine and the development of targeted therapies for advanced NSCLC.

Abstract Two studies were conducted with same set-up at a commercial facility to determine the effects of supplementing corn-SBM-based diets with or without a multi-enzyme on performance of nursery pigs. A total of 240 piglets (per trial) weaned at 25 d of age were randomly assigned to the 12 pens (10 barrows and 10 gilts per pen) pre-assigned with one of the experimental diets: a drug-free control diet containing 3000 ppm Zn and 1000 FTU phytase/kg with or without a multi-enzyme (4,000 U of xylanase, 150 U of amylase, 150 U of β-glucanase and 3000 U of protease/kg feed, n = 6). The diets were fed for 6 wks in 2 growth phases (phase 1: 0–2 weeks; phase 2: 3–6 weeks). Feed intake (ADFI), body weight (BW), body weight gain (ADG) were recorded by phase. Data were analysed by MIXED procedure of SAS (9.4) and significance was declared at P < 0.05. In phase 1, fecal scores were visually assessed daily by pen, ranging from 1 to 5 (1 = hard; 2 = firm; 3 = soft; 4 = very soft; 5 = watery feces). The frequency of diarrhea by pen were calculated by counting pigs with a diarrhea score of 3 or greater. In both trials, ADG during the first phase was improved by 30 (trial 1) or 40 g (trial 2) vs. control (P < 0.05). Final BW in piglets fed enzyme treatment was 1.4 (P < 0.05) or 1.2 kg (P > 0.05) heavier in trial 1 and 2, respectively vs. those fed the control diet. The ADFI was not affected by enzyme inclusion (P > 0.05). In addition, during the 1st phase, improvement in fecal condition (average 1.96 vs. 2.27; P < 0.05) and reduction in diarrhea incident (average 3.0 vs. 5.05%; P < 0.05) were observed in both trials when multi-enzyme treatment was fed to the piglets. In conclusion, the addition of multi-enzyme for weaned pigs improved growth performance and health condition.

AbstractNon-equiatomic high-entropy alloys (HEAs), the second-generation multi-phase HEAs, have been recently reported with outstanding properties that surpass the typical limits of conventional alloys and/or the first-generation equiatomic single-phase HEAs. For magnetocaloric HEAs, non-equiatomic (Gd36Tb20Co20Al24)100−xFex microwires, with Curie temperatures up to 108 K, overcome the typical low temperature limit of rare-earth-containing HEAs (which typically concentrate lower than around 60 K). For alloys with x = 2 and 3, they possess some nanocrystals, though very minor, which offers a widening in the Curie temperature distribution. In this work, we further optimize the magnetocaloric responses of x = 3 microwires by microstructural control using the current annealing technique. With this processing method, the precipitation of nanocrystals within the amorphous matrix leads to a phase compositional difference in the microwires. The multi-phase character leads to challenges in rescaling the magnetocaloric curves, which is overcome by using two reference temperatures during the scaling procedure. The phase composition difference increases with increasing current density, whereby within a certain range, the working temperature span broadens and simultaneously offers relative cooling power values that are at least 2-fold larger than many reported conventional magnetocaloric alloys, both single amorphous phase or multi-phase character (amorphous and nanocrystalline). Among the amorphous rare-earth-containing HEAs, our work increases the working temperature beyond the typical <60 K limit while maintaining a comparable magnetocaloric effect. This demonstrates that microstructural control is a feasible way, in addition to appropriate compositional design selection, to optimize the magnetocaloric effect of HEAs.
