This paper shows that continuity of connections between Duklja/Zeta and the Apennine Peninsula during the middle ages, which were manifested both in the political and in the cultural sphere, attracted attention as a topic in the periodical press issued in the territory of present-day Montenegro from 1835 to 1941. The paper offers a systematized overview of such, for the most part descriptive, texts on political and cultural links between what now are Montenegro and Italy in the middle ages.

This article discusses the circumstances in which Niccolò Tommaseo, an Italian writer of Dalmatian origin, included three poems from the Montenegrin literary periodical Grlica (1835-1839) in his collection of Italian translations of “Illyrian” folk poetry (Canti illirici, 1842), published in Venice. In this regard, the research pointed to the mediating role of the German romantic poet Heinrich Stieglitz, author of a travel book about Montenegro (Ein Besuch auf Montenegro, 1841). In the autumn of 1839, Stieglitz visited the Montenegrin Metropolitan and poet Peter II Petrović Njegoš in Cetinje, wherefrom he presumably brought copies of this first Montenegrin periodical to Venice. Also discussed is the possible influence that Tommasseo’s activities on collecting South Slavic folk poetry in Dalmatia had on the creation of the anthology of epic poems Serbian Mirror, which Njegoš composed after his first meeting with Tommaseo in January 1844.

Approximately a quarter of the surveyed Ukrainian refugees and IDPs said that they plan to stay in their new places of residence, in the countries of their choice, obtain a residence permit, and purchase real estate. The legislation of Ukraine, like that of other countries, provides that ownership and other real rights to real estate, encumbrances, as well as their creation, transfer and termination, are subject to state registration. Rights to real estate subject to state registration arise from the moment of such registration. In essence, state registration is the fact of public recognition by the state of a person's right to real estate by entering information about it into the State Register of Real Property Rights. However, each country has its own regulatory requirements. Therefore, research into real estate registration procedures and algorithms for obtaining a residence permit is relevant. The study is aimed at identifying the peculiarities and algorithms for obtaining a permanent or temporary residence permit by investing in real estate or business in the country of study. real estate registration for Ukrainian citizens who went abroad during the military operations and intend not to return home but to integrate into other countries. The research objects are 9 countries of the world, namely: Turkey, Greece, Montenegro, the United Kingdom, Cyprus, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Portugal, and Hungary. These countries are characterized by: attractiveness in terms of residence, democratic development, improvement of the quality of service provision and strengthening of trust in the government by the population, the public and the private sector. The information base of the study was based on collections of scientific papers, periodicals, and Internet resources. Summarizing the results of the study, we have constructed a diagram of the cost of investment real estate for permanent residence for the selected countries. The largest investment is required in the UK, while Montenegro has no requirements for real estate investment at all. It is determined that the procedure for obtaining the right to temporary or permanent residence through investment and registration of real estate may vary, and the package of documents required for registration also differs depending on the specific object and the circumstances of the rights to it. However, there are simple general recommendations that can help protect real estate rights and save time and money: compliance with the country's legislation; creation and proper operation of a unified registration system. This analysis will help to identify ways to implement foreign experience in Ukraine's activities in the future. The practical content is indicated by the target orientation of this study for Ukrainian citizens who are forced to stay abroad, urban planning and cadastre specialists.

The new spruce disease known as "spruce cone rust" was discovered for the first time in Serbia and Montenegro. The fungus was detected in spruce forests only in the mountains regions (Kopaonik, Zlatar, Durmitor). This rust periodically damages the cones in localised forest areas and can be a serious problem. Usually seeds are not formed in diseased cones, and even when they are produced, malformation and resinosis of the cones hinder seed dispersal or extraction. Those seeds that are formed tend to weigh less and have poor germination. As this disease is a serious problem, care must be taken to prevent the spread of the disease to the new uninfected regions.

Abstract The paper describes the Tamaricion dalmaticae alliance and the Tamaricetum dalmaticae association, a new syntaxa localized under the saline or sub-halophilous conditions within the thermo-mediterranean and meso-mediterranean belts of the eastern Adriatic coast. The Tamaricion dalmaticae alliance is considered analogous to the Western Mediterranean Tamaricion africanae. The Tamaricetum dalmaticae association shows the high ecological amplitude of in terms of moisture. It develops on sandy soils only periodically inundated with sea or brackish waters, as well as on non-flooded areas in south Croatia, Montenegro and NW Albania. In Croatia, Tamaricetum dalmaticae has connections with the halophyte communities of the Sarcocornietea fruticosae and Ammophiletea classes, and the xerophilous ruderal communities of the Artemisietea vulgaris class. The habitats are exposed to disturbances and fragmentation.

The easiest option would be to ask the author of The Cinnamon Shops whether it was him who many years ago wrote in German and published in the Montenegro periodical Cetinjer Zeitung two stories: “Du bist Staub” and “Pfennig mit dem Auge.” Had he said “yes,” these two unusual narratives would be included in the oeuvre of Bruno Schulz. His literary identity would have been upheld (enhanced) and confirmed. But what is the literary identity? We know full well that the foundation of an individual identity is memory which selects and integrates the particles of a particular existence. There is no identity without memory. This, however, does not apply to the literary identity, deprived of that natural basis of each identity, both individual and collective. Its foundation is congruence, i.e. the coherence, harmony, and appropriateness of its components. Trouble begins when all of a sudden we come across a text signed with a name that already exists in the literary space, and this is exactly what happened when after one hundred years two German language stories from the Cetinjer Zeitung have been retrieved. An automatic inclusion of the stories in the literary identity signed “Bruno Schulz” seems risky for many reasons. First of all, because some stranger may invade the space occupied by the son of a Drogobych cloth merchant, the actual author of The Cinnamon Shops. Let us then defend the Schulz of Drogobych from the Schulzes who come from different parts of the world, and they are many. In the first three decades of the 20th century those were, e.g., Karl Richard Bruno Schulz (1865-1932, professor of architecture), Bruno Claus Heinrich Schulz (1888-1944, oceanographer), Bruno Schulz (engineer, fleet officer), Bruno Schulz (1890-1958, psychiatrist, genetician), Bruno Kurt Schultz (1901-1997, anthropologist, in the Third Reich an SS “race” expert), and Bruno Schultz (1894-1987, economist).

The subtribe Leptodirina is one of the most species-rich subtribes of the tribe Leptodirini, comprising 36 genera and 103 species of beetles adapted to the subterranean environment and distributed in the West Paleartic. The genera of Leptodirina show potentially convergent morphological characters resulting from the adaptation to the subterranean environment. Two genera with uncertain systematic position, living in Sandžak, a geo-political region divided by the border of Serbia and Montenegro, Rozajella S. Ćurčić, Brajković & B. Ćurčić, 2007 and Remyella Jeannel, 1931, were recently tentatively placed in this subtribe. However, no molecular phylogenetic studies have been performed to support this placement. Both genera share morphological characters and live in neighbouring geographic areas (Pešter polje and surrounding massifs). We performed a molecular phylogenetic analysis to examine the phylogenetic position of these two genera. A more detailed molecular and morphological investigation of the taxa within Remyella clarified their systematics. The speciation events within Remyella occurred approximately from 5 to 2 million years ago, which corresponds to the end of the Miocene and the Pliocene, periods when Pešter was periodically filled by shallow lakes. The distribution area of the genus, confined to the periphery of Pešter, is probably contingent to the presence of these lakes that prevented species from spreading more uniformly over the entire area of the plateau. Additionally, the correlations between genetic and geographic distances were investigated using the Mantel test. Four synonymies inside Remyella are established and all species of the genus are briefly diagnosed. Identification tables and distribution maps of species of Remyella and Rozajella are provided, and the new species Rozajella madzgalji n.sp. is described.

Abstract Montenegro is an upper-middle income country, with an estimated population of 620,739 (Eurostat, 2021). A national strategy for sustainable development until 2030 was adopted in July 2016, taking into account the implementation results of the Action Plan from the previous strategic document. Data for the period 2016-2021 are showing changes in a certain number of indicators, but also that Montenegro continued to face a large number of challenges (especially in No poverty and Gender equality goals), which became even more complex during the COVID-19 pandemic. Montenegro is reporting 69 out of 248 SDGs indicators. Indicators are not reported at all for 3 goals. Data similar to those required exist for some indicators, so a rough picture of trends in individual SDG goals can be obtained. For the remaining 14 goals, the median percentage of reported indicators is 31% (Range: 14%−58%). Some indicators are reported periodically, as part of research. Also, the UN methodology is not followed for all the reported indicators. For example, for the assessment of the first goal, 13 indicators were determined, and none of them are monitored by the UN methodology. However, since 2013, the Statistical Office of Montenegro has been calculating some indicators (based on the EU-SILC survey) that can be used for the same purpose. For SDG 3; Good health and well-being, there are improvements in certain segments: reduction in the infant mortality rate (2.8/1,000 from 2020) and mortality rate among children under 5 (3.7/1,000 from 2020) and reduction in the tuberculosis and malaria incidence. Numerous challenges are mainly reflected in the inequality of access and quality of health services, the high prevalence of current tobacco use among those over 15 years, and low air quality. Existing information system in healthcare is incomplete, fragmented and insufficiently interoperable to provide satisfactory data for monitoring the progress of indicators in this area.

In the complex circumstances of the civil war and the disintegration of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, several new states were created (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, and Macedonia), and during the wars several para-states were formed without being internationally recognized. In the course of 1991, on the territory of the Republic of Croatia, amidst the bloody civil war, the Republic of Serb Krajina was born. Its birth was the result of a transformation of the former Serb autonomous districts into a republic, with the aim of strengthening the position of the Serb people in Croatia on both the international arena and within Yugoslavia. The process of its creation lasted seven whole years, from the proclamation of the Serb Autonomous District of Krajina, through the formation of the Serb District of Slavonia, Baranja, and Western Srem, and the Serb Autonomous District of Western Slavonia, to the unification of the three regions into one, the Republic of Serb Krajina.
