New H2S adsorbent was synthesized on the basis of bentonite. It was analyzed using elemental and BET surface area analysis. Models and mathematical representations of mechanisms that govern the chemisorption of hydrogen sulfide on the chemically treated bentonite were presented. A Ternary Model is established for heat transfer in a reheating furnace. Temperature field for furnace walls was solved by implicit difference of non-uniform gridding. The temperature of billet surface was dealt with for coupling the finite difference method with the Ternary Model reasonably. Finally the 3# reheating furnace in Baosteel was simulated. Temperature fields of billet and walls are solved by the proposed approach, and the results are analyzed, which provides theoretical basis for thermal operations as well as the online applications of the Ternary Model.

In this article, we review model selection predictions for modified gravity scenarios as an explanation for the observed acceleration of the expansion history of the Universe. We present analytical procedures for calculating expected Bayesian evidence values in two cases: (i) that modified gravity is a simple parametrized extension of general relativity (GR; two nested models), such that a Bayes' factor can be calculated, and (ii) that we have a class of non-nested models where a rank-ordering of evidence values is required. We show that, in the case of a minimal modified gravity parametrization, we can expect large area photometric and spectroscopic surveys, using three-dimensional cosmic shear and baryonic acoustic oscillations, to ‘decisively’ distinguish modified gravity models over GR (or vice versa), with odds of ≫1:100. It is apparent that the potential discovery space for modified gravity models is large, even in a simple extension to gravity models, where Newton's constant G is allowed to vary as a function of time and length scale. On the time and length scales where dark energy dominates, it is only through large-scale cosmological experiments that we can hope to understand the nature of gravity.

The paper deals with the economic measurements of the market value of enterprise assets, which are of great importance for their effective management. The use of more accurate economic measurements is an integral part of an optimal strategy to manage business assets. Therefore, reduction of evaluation results uncertainty is a necessary condition for effective management. To achieve mentioned goals, the paper aims to determine the mathematical base for the assets valuation methodology of value/depreciation that change over time, which can be applied to its dynamic objective quantitative analysis. The basic hypothesis suggests that all tangible assets, characterized by removable depreciation, are inclined to a negative periodic depreciation during short inter-service periods when remedial repair works are carried out to eliminate depreciation. The methodical approaches concerning a mathematical description of assets value/depreciation dynamics are considered. It is shown that both traditional, progressive and regressive value/depreciation dynamics models change over time. They do not correspond to the actual state since they do not take into account increased objects value and negative periodic depreciation. To evaluate value/depreciation change over time more precisely, a new kind of mathematical model is proposed, which equations take into account the opposite signs of periodic depreciation during operational service periods and non-operational inter-service periods. It is proved that the actual indicators of fair market value and periodic depreciation of enterprise assets can be determined with higher reliability based on a new mathematical model. Metal oxide modified Bi2O3 finds the application in metal oxide varistors and as ionic conductors. Electrical properties of MeO-modified Bi2O3 change with MeO modifier and sintering temperature. In this paper we report how to predict Bi2O3 electrical properties using simulation model. Measurements of the electrical response of the modified Bi2O3 oxides were carried out using the impedance spectroscopic technique. As a result an equivalent model of electrical behaviour of modified Bi2O3, described by fractional derivates was proposed. To test the model, the series of simulation were run on computer, and after subjecting the results to verification the equivalent parameters of electrical circuit were determined. Model was elaborated with the view of facilitating the research on metal oxide ionic conductors and varistors.

SFG model has some advantages that it is more flexible in modeling different types of unsaturated soils than most other models in the literature. However, there are some shortages in SFG model. Firstly, it did not take account the influence of degree of saturation on the deformation of soil. Additionally, the SWCC that was adopted in the SFG model is relatively simple and cannot reflect the relationship between the current void ratio and the degree of saturation. This paper firstly presents the modified model based on the SFG model. The modified model adds the degree of saturation into the volumetric model for unsaturated soils. In addition, it adopts a SWCC that can reflect the influence of current void ratio. The new yield surfaces are proposed. These new yield surfaces are not only the function of suction and mean net stress, but also the function of the current degree of saturation and void ratio of soil. The modified SFG model can model more types of the behaviors of unsaturated soils and is more reasonable than SFG model.

In this paper, we study the cosmological analysis of the modified holographic Ricci dark energy model and reconstruct different scalar field models in the context of Chern-Simons modified gravity. We investigate the deceleration parameter, which shows that the universe is in the accelerating expansion phase. The equation of state parameter in this case also favors the fact that dark energy is the dominant component of universe, which is responsible for the accelerated expansion. A number of scalar fields, such as quintessence, tachyon, K-essence, and dilaton models, are reconstructed using modified holographic Ricci dark energy model in the context of dynamical CS modified gravity. The quintessence and K-essence models represent exponentially increasing behaviors, while tachyon model shows decreasing behavior. Unfortunately, the dilaton model has no numerical solution for modified holographic Ricci dark energy model in the framework of dynamical Chern-Simons modified gravity.

A peer group model of supervision is presented as an alternative to the conventional one-on-one model of clinical supervision. A modified version of Dowling’s (1979) Teaching Clinic is described as a model whose format appears to exemplify the tenets of the clinical supervisory model (Anderson, 1988; Cogan, 1973) through the promotion of collegiality and the development of self-supervisory skills among the participating clinicians. The Modified Teaching Clinic (MTC) addresses issues of group process, fosters the advancement of clinicians along a continuum of supervision, and facilitates professional growth and development. Although peer group supervision is frequently used in the growth and development of professionals in other fields such as counseling, there are currently no models that have been described for the continued development of speech-language pathologists and audiologists in various service delivery settings. The need for continued professional interaction and peer group supervision is addressed by the MTC via its applicability in various clinical settings.

The power system simulation software usually use ideal hydraulic turbine model in transient stability simulation. Ideal model is the linearization of turbine steady state equation, it can hardly adapt to the various operation conditions in power system. In this paper, a modified nonlinear model of hydraulic turbine is proposed based on basic hydraulic turbine equations, the model can better reflect the dynamic behavior of the turbine since transient component are taken into account. Field test data verify the validity of the proposed model. The model can greatly improve the accuracy. Furthermore, the model is very simple so that it can be easily used in power simulation software

AbstractA modified system of nonlinear fractional-order differential equations become used to classify humans of various personalities and different Impact Factors of Memory (IFM); with unique set of model parameters. The model was used to interpret and predict the functions of the union of various people with external circumstance(s) and adapted to neighborhood environment in which the statistics collections were achieved to analyze numerous measures affecting marriages, unique challenges in marriage and associated occasions were investigated through the use of questionnaire. Data had been analyzed and the outcomes have been carried out as parameters to validate the model. Adams Predictor-Corrector Method was used to test the chaoticity of the system and it was confirmed via numerical simulations.Numerical simulation outcomes had been presented to reveal the effectiveness of the model and the accuracy of the statements established. The mathematical information implied by the model unveil an underlying mechanism which can give an explanation for couple disruption in relationships that were initially deliberated to remain all the time. Despite the terrible aspects of relationships, some human beings were still satisfied in their intimate members of the family. The study was addressed on a field survey (use of questionnaires) and with the aid of interrogating the members one on one. A feasible path for future work is the choice to attain balance through modelling and to validate the results with the aid of numerical simulations.
