Introduction: the article considers problems related to the development of information and analytical support for the reengineer-ing of capital construction projects and identifies its components: information, analytical, technical and personnel. The article presents the main provisions of the technical and personnel support of the given subsystem of reengineering. Special attention is paid to the formation of a parametric model of reengineering of capital construction projects, which is the basis for the formation of typical organizational solutions. The variability of these decisions is related to the qualification of organizational charts and resource support for reengineering activities. Materials and methods: it emerged that the information component has its aggregation: information model, software, regulation of functioning of the information model and software. The analytical component includes a parametric model, generic solutions and guidelines on the development and application of reengineering. Results: as a basis of the parametric model, aggregative parameter groups of reengineering measures at the capital construction facility and their decomposition are established. The article gives an order of formation of standard solutions for the reengineering of capital construction projects, which includes organizsational charts for its implementation and the resource support of the reengineering components. Separately the article considers a structure of regulatory documents for the reengineering of capital construction projects. Regulatory documents can be categorized into general, development and application ones as well as industrial and enterprise regulations for the reengineering of a capital construction facility. Conclusions: the formed system of the information and analytical support for the reengineering can give a serious impetus to the development and qualitative transformation of the capital construction facility. The effective functioning of the system of infor-mation and analytical support for reengineering is possible if there is an efficient regulatory and methodological base of these measures and an adequate information model of the capital construction facility at the stage of its maintenance.

The article deals with the theoretical aspects of the problem of reengineering the topological structures of terrestrial ecological monitoring networks. As a result of the analysis of the current state of the problem, it was revealed the need to change the network of monitoring points, to increase requirements for the efficiency and accuracy of observations, as well as to do the more advanced technologies for collecting, processing, storing and transmitting information. All this is possible due to reengineering of existing monitoring networks. This requires the improvement of network system optimization technologies and their software in terms of taking into account the features of the reengineering problem, as well as the mathematical models and methods used for this. To solve the problem of reengineering of terrestrial monitoring networks, an aggregative-decomposition approach is proposed. The approach is divided into a set of tasks considering their interconnections in terms of input and output data. This made it possible to define a set of tasks that form the basis of reengineering procedures. To increase the efficiency of technologies for computer-aided design and reengineering of networks, a set of mathematical models is proposed that covers the main stages of their life cycles. The article discusses: a systemological model of iterative technology for obtaining design solutions; analytical models for evaluating the properties of network reengineering options in terms of efficiency, reliability, survivability and costs; models for identifying effective options for network reengineering based on Karlin and Germeier theorems; a model for evaluating the local properties of options in the form of a utility function of local criteria; model of scalar multicriteria estimation of network reengineering options based on utility theory. The utility function makes it possible to implement both linear and non-linear (including Z- and S-shaped) dependencies on their values. For the practical implementation of models of multicriteria problems of reengineering of topological structures of networks, it is proposed to use the method of generation of effective design solutions in parallel with the generation and the method of comparator parametric synthesis of the scalar multicriteria estimation function. The performance and efficiency of the proposed mathematical models and methods are demonstrated by examples of solving the problems of subset selection of Paretooptimal options for building networks and parametric synthesis of the scalar multicriteria estimation function. The application in practice of the proposed set of models and methods will increase the degree of automation of network reengineering processes, reduce the time for solving the problem of multi-criteria choice due to the reduction in the time complexity of the analysis procedures, and increase the stability of the decisions made by compromising their choice only from a subset of effective ones.

The paper presents data oriented and process oriented models of legacy systems. It discusses the details of systems development and evolution models mainly aiming at an ongoing reengineering of legacy systems into supply chain systems. It proposes few strategies for reengineering of both data oriented model and process oriented models. The legacy systems often miss automatic interfaces to supply chain systems, so the article presents a strategy focusing on automatic update of data of the system. Likewise, the article also presents a strategy for process reengineering in order to integrate these legacy systems into supply chain systems. Finally, a legacy system is envisioned as a comprehensive mix of both data and process oriented, while proposing a gradual ongoing reengineering of both data structures and process methods.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to build a theoretic and practical framework, based on agile project management, to support the decision-making process in order to help companies in optimizing the reengineering production processes and improve management costs. Design/methodology/approach This paper seeks to propose an agile Reengineering Performance Model (ARPM) for managing projects of reengineering of processes and applies it in a real case study concerning a water bottling plant. Findings The proposed model should serve as a valuable tool to facilitate a successful business process reengineering design in the project management and intends to assist companies as they operate projects of transferring and optimizing production lines. Thanks to the use of ARPM tools, it is easy to modify the evolution of the project, with the possibility of extending or enhancing the application if necessary. Research limitations/implications The main limits of the ARPM model are: it requires close collaboration among team; it is rather intense for developers; and it is necessary flexibility to change course as needed and to ensure delivery of the right product. Practical implications The main implications of the authors’ work for research and business are to propose a structured methodological approach, rigorous but simple, suitable to implement in any companies. Originality/value The novelty of the approach is to apply the agile approach not for software development but in a manufacturing company.

The one constant in the world is change. The changing dynamics of business environment enforces the organizations to re-design or reengineer their business processes. The main objective of such reengineering processes is to provide services or produce products with the possible lowest cost, shortest time, and best quality. Accordingly, Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) provides a roadmap of how to efficiently achieve the operational goals in terms of enhanced flexibility and productivity, reduced cost, and improved quality of service or product. In this article, we propose an efficient model for BPR. The model specifies where the breakdowns occur in BPR implementation, justifies why such breakdowns occur, and proposes techniques to prevent their occurrence again. The proposed model has been built based on two main sections. The first section focuses on integrating Critical Success Factors (CSFs) and the performance of business processes during the reengineering processes. Additionally, it implements the association rule mining technique to investigate the relationship between CSFs and different business processes. The second section aims to measure the performance of business processes (intended success of BPR) by process time, cycle time, quality and cost before and after reengineering processes. A case study of the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) is used to test the efficiency of the proposed model.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to study the relationship between organizational adaptability, institutional leadership and business process reengineering performance using the tested complexity theory in a developing economy setting. Design/methodology/approach This study is correlation and cross-sectional and adopts institutional-level data collected via questionnaires from reengineered microfinance institutions in Uganda. Cluster analysis as data mining technique was used to classify cases based on respondents’ opinions into homogeneous clusters. Nvivo was used to understand the perceptions of business process reengineering performance based on qualitative data. The authors used structural equation modeling to derive the predictive model of business process reengineering performance in a developing world setting. Findings The authors find that organizational adaptability and institutional leadership are key predictors of business process reengineering performance. Results reveal a predictive model of 61 per cent based on structural equation modeling for the study variables. Cluster analysis as data mining approach explored complex patterns of reengineered business processes. Research limitations/implications The use of cluster analysis is susceptible to problems associated with sampling error and absence of fit indices. However, the likelihood of these problems is reduced by the interaction with the data, practical implications and use of smart partial least square to generate structural equations based on derived measurement models of each study variable. Practical implications Policymakers of Bank of Uganda, Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, should develop sound policies in relation to knowledge management, institutional leadership and adaptive mechanisms to enhance business process reengineering performance to take advantage of new knowledge opportunities for the improvement of their businesses. Social implications Given the results from structural equations generated, managers need to consider institutional leadership and organizational adaptability as key drivers of business process reengineering performance in microfinance institutions. The results confirm the significant role of institutional leadership, organizational adaptability in determining business process reengineering performance outcomes. Originality/value Unlike most of the business process reengineering literature, this study contributes to literature by domesticating and testing complexity theory to explain business process reengineering performance in developing economies.

Nowadays, organizations conduct change projects based on reengineering processes because business processes reengineering (BPR) methodologies implement process-oriented approach. By this view governmental organizational also utilizes such methodology. One of the main practical issues of such implementation is about using BPR methodology in relief organization. On the other hand, Iran has been faced with an increase of accidents in various forms. Thus having more efficiency in relief agencies to deal with these accidents and maintain readiness in the face of threats is essential. Relief agencies should be covered by the Unexpected Disasters Center in order to carry out their missions and duties perfectly. Therefore, familiarity with the tasks of each group is inevitable. Given the foregoing, the main objective of this study is to investigate how we can develop a reengineering project based on BPR approaches in Iran relief agencies. By this we propose a new model for reengineering which has the main capabilities of general models in BPR methodology. In addition, we show the prerequisites of implementing new model in Iran Unexpected Disasters Center.

The research task is the improvement of scientific principles and development of a methodical approach to the modelling of enterprises’ development scenarios that apply business process reengineering in order to increase the level of competitiveness. The urgency of the research. The relevance of further researches is determined by the fact that the practical implementation of scientific approaches in Ukraine has not become popular, and the aspects of business process reengineering have been implemented only fragmentarily. Target setting. The development and discussions of procedural, systemic, and synergetic approaches to enterprise development have determined the concept of business process reengineering. Therefore, the further development of methodical principles for the realization of business process reengineering in the practice of business management is urgent and relevant. Uninvestigated parts of general matters defining. The justification of the expediency of using the tools for business process reengineering through the modelling of the future results at Ukrainian enterprises requires further scientific development. Materials and methods. The historical-evolutionary method was used to investigate the essence and origin of the category of reengineering and to distinguish its main features. By means of analysis and synthesis, the conceptual bases of business processes reengineering are determined. Implementation of complex, systemic, and synergetic approaches as a basis for application of business process reengineering allowed developing a modelling methodology for forecasting scenarios of the level of competitiveness of a business unit. The application of a systematic approach is reflected in the consideration of the impact of external and internal factors on the enterprise, complex factor – in combination of factors with the criteria of the enterprises managing that are able to compete in the world market, as well as the application of method at different levels – macro, meso, and micro. Methods of economic modelling and forecasting were used for forming a model of forecasting of the level of enterprise competitiveness. Results. The main features are segregated and a method for modelling of the results of its implementation is formulated. The algorithm of modelling of development scenario as a result of the application of reengineering is developed. A model for predicting of the level of competitiveness for the Ukrainian economy is constructed as well. Practical implications. The brilliant examples of corporations that received the “second breath” as a result of the introduction and reengineering of processes were General Electric, Toyota and Chrysler, Kodak, Siemens Nixdorf Service, IBM Credit. The proposed methodological approach can be applied by enterprises to predict the level of competitiveness of an enterprise as a result of the introduction of business process reengineering, depending on possible costs and target commodity output. Value/originality. Such a method of forecasting the competitiveness of an enterprise as a result of business process reengineering is important and can be used to predict the level of competitiveness at all levels of management.

In management, there are many management approaches that can improve the efficiency of the enterprise. At the same time, the priority of enterprise development is the implementation of innovative activities. To succeed in this area, companies are changing management approaches, organizational structures and business models. However, in the conditions of constant aggravation of competition, achievement of high indicators of activity of the enterprise is best provided at the expense of reengineering of business processes. The innovation of reengineering is that it combines the use of the prerogatives of computer technology, human resource management technology and business process change. In the current economic conditions, the speed of reaction of all subsystems of the enterprise and the efficiency of operations are of particular importance and are a necessary condition for its effective operation in conditions of constant competition. In this situation, reengineering is the most effective, because it helps to increase the efficiency of the enterprise by changing the business model it uses. Thus, the study of reengineering procedures, its principles and objectives is relevant today. The purpose of the study was to generalize theoretical approaches to the basic principles, types and objectives of business process reengineering as a tool for effective enterprise management. The methodological basis of the study was the work of domestic and foreign scientists on the problems of reengineering and change management. Business process reengineering is a thorough rethinking and radical redesign of business processes of companies that want to significantly improve their performance. It is used in cases when it is necessary to make an informed decision on the reorganization of activities: radical transformations, business restructuring, replacement of existing management structures with new ones, etc. Through the effective use of business process reengineering tools can make the company more flexible to changes in the environment and more resilient in a competitive environment. Thus, business process reengineering involves a decisive, radical restructuring of business processes and the foundations of management to significantly increase the competitiveness of the enterprise in the market and significantly increase the efficiency of the enterprise as a whole system.

Process reengineering (PR) in manufacturing organizations is a big challenge, as shown by the high rate of failure. This research investigated different approaches to process reengineering to identify limitations and propose a new strategy to increase the success rate. The proposed methodology integrates data as a procedure for process identification (PI) and mapping and incorporates process verification to analyze the changes made in a specific process. The study identifies interdependency within the manufacturing process (MP) and proposes a generic process reengineering approach that uses simulation and analysis of production line data as a method for understanding the changes required to optimize the process. The paper discusses the methodology implementation technique as well as process identification and the process mapping technique using simulation tools. It provides an improved data-driven process reengineering framework that incorporates process verification. Based on the proposed model, the study investigates a production line process using the WITNESS Horizon 21 simulation package and analyse the efficiency of data-driven process reengineering and process verification in terms of implementing changes.

Therefore, sometimes an organizations in order to reach such objectives need to implement fundamental changes.Agility enterprise architecture is an architectural framework for organizational reengineering in designing, developing, integrating and performing a agility organization in applying systems engineering methods. With regards to the discussion of information technology and systems engineering in today’s organizations which is considered important. In this article, it is tried to study processes reengineering with the use of agility enterprise architectural reengineering framework with focusing on competitive intelligence and its practical phases. Eventually, reasons for importance of agility enterprise architecture, summary and results along with propositions will be explained. The research results indicated that the proposed framework has some benefits which among the most important ones are: Improvement quality in organization, delivering just in time of goods, enhancing customer satisfaction, wastages elimination and as a results decreasing costs. For the past decade, business process reengineering (BPR) has gradually evolved from a revolutionary principle, which provided enterprises with methods to eliminate problems, into a set of management approaches for enterprises to face unpredictable and uncontrollable circumstances. This study puts forward an integrated model, strategic business process reengineering model,, which focuses on analysis of the three stages of BPR, and explores how BPR develops into competitive advantage with strategic basic factors – positioning, unique activities, trade-offs and fit. The authors undertake SH, a famous Taiwanese brand of small appliance, for case study and analysis. The research results show that the process reengineering activities held after strategic positioning should be improved through unique activities and trade-offs, such as technology-oriented, cross-departmental labor integration and trade-offs, cross-departmental rotation and talent cultivation, and cross-organizational support for channel manufacturers in their training of technicians. During the activities, mutual fit would lead to a set of behavior system, where construction plays an essential role, as it is difficult to imitate in competitive advantage.

The absence of a unified methodology and appropriate analytic approaches prior to the implementation of reengineering projects has made authorities not to adopt correct decision making approaches in this respect. The objective of this paper is to propose a methodology that has to be adopted prior to the implementation of reengineering projects. The statistical population here consists of 25 expert analysts with MA and PhD degrees who are subject to answering a questionnaire. In this proposed methodology the Multi Criterion Decision Making model is applied to allow the analysts to select appropriate models for better and accurate implementation through the least failure coefficient. The Neyriz White Cement Corporation is selected as the subject and the obtained results are compared with the results obtained from similar implemented projects.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to present a methodology to assist enterprise decision makers (DMs) to select from a number of processes during Business Process Reengineering (BPR) according to organizational objectives. Indeed, after the identification and classification of process and illustration of the organizational objectives and criteria, the effect of each process on each objective and criterion is calculated to select the most appropriate processes for reengineering purposes. Design/methodology/approach The proposed methodology uses fuzzy quality function deployment (QFD) technique to convert the qualitative data (DM’s opinion) to quantitative ones and then calculates the effects of each process on the organizational objectives and criteria. Then, by using the result of fuzzy QFD, the amount of satisfaction of each process according to each criterion is calculated. By combining this data with other effective variables in BPR projects such as “cost” and “time,” a multi-objective goal programming (GP) model is formulated and solved to identify the most appropriate business processes. Findings In fact, a quantitative model is presented in which fuzzy QFD and GP methods are combined to help DMs to adopt an appropriate strategy for implementing BPR projects successfully by selecting proper processes for reengineering purposes. In addition, the presented model uses both qualitative and quantitative data and turns them into quantitative ones. An example is also provided to show how the model works. Research limitations/implications Following this investigation, other researchers could able to complete the model with more dynamic and local variables to enhance the accuracy of the model. Practical implications The introduced model will support organizations and managers to select appropriate processes for BPR; so in practice, the mentioned projects will be more efficient and successful. Originality/value The paper study is essential for organizations, because the presented decision-making model is based on fuzzy QFD and GP methods that enable the enterprises to select the business processes during the BPR projects easily. In this paper, a GP model is presented to create a balance between organizational satisfaction level and cost and time of implementing BPR projects considering organizational constraints. The proposed model was applied to a real case and the authors showed that it is an easy-to-use, valid, and powerful tool for implementing BPR projects.

Meningkatkan sebuah kualitas pada pelayanan perlu memahami kekurangan selama ini. Kejaksaan Negeri Batu adalah sebuah instansi di Provinsi Jawa Timur yang pelayanan masih berjalan secara manual. Hal ini menimbulkan permasalahan dari segi pelayanan, kecepatan dan biaya kepada masyarakat. Berdasarkan masalah ini perlu dilakukan perubahan proses bisnis pada Kejaksasaan Negeri Batu dengan penerapan BPR (Business Process Reengineering). Business Process Reengineering adalah konsep untuk mengubah ulang proses bisnis yang memiliki kelemahan pada proses. Tujuanya untuk memperbaiki sebuah kinerja proses agar lebih efisien. Penelitian dimulai dengan mengumpulkan beberapa referensi yang berkaitan dengan Business Process Reengineering. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi ke studi kasus, wawancara dengan pihak Kejaksaan Negeri Batu dan studi literatur sejenis. Memahami suatu proses bisnis digunakan peta proses standar ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers). Berdasarkan peta proses standar ASME dapat dihitung kinerja proses bisnis dengan menghitung efisiensi throughput. Langkah peningkatan dan penyempurnaan desain ulang proses dilakukan agar proses bisnis lebih efektif. Hasil akhir penelitian adalah sebuah rancangan ulang model bisnis proses rekomendasi yang meningkatkan efisiensi throughput dari 50,36% pada proses sebelumnya menjadi 85,77% dan menghasilkan sebuah aplikasi sebagai pendukung rancangan ulang model bisnis proses rekomendasi. Abstract Every agency that provides a service to the public wants a quality service. Improving a quality of service needs to understand the shortcomings. State Attorney Batu is an agency in East Java Province that service is still running manually. This creates problems in terms of service, speed and cost to the community. Based on this problem, it is necessary to change the business process at State of the Earth Stone with the application of BPR (Business Process Reengineering). Business Process Reengineering is a concept to re-alter a business process that has a weakness in the process. The goal is to improve a process performance to be more efficient. Research begins by collecting some references related to Business Process Reengineering. Data collection method was done by observation to case study, interview with State Prosecutor of Batu and study of similar literature. Understanding a business process is used ASME standard process maps (American Society of Mechanical Engineers). Based on ASME standard process maps can be calculated business process performance by calculating throughput efficiency. Steps to improve and refine the process redesign are done to make business processes more effective. The final results are a redesign of business models that improve the efficiency of the process on the throughput of 50.36% in the previous process becomes 85.77% and produce an application to support the redesign of the business model of the recommendation process.

The subject of research in the article is the topological structures of closed-loop logistics networks. The goal of the article is to increase the efficiency of centralized logistics networks by developing a mathematical model for a two-criteria problem of optimizing topological structures in the process of their reengineering. The article solves the following tasks: analysis of the current state of the problem of structural and topological optimization of logistics networks; formalization of the problem of optimization of logistics networks as geographically distributed objects; synthesis of objective functions of the mathematical model of a two-criterion optimization problem for centralized three-level topological structures of closed logistics networks at the reengineering stage; development of a system of constraints of the mathematical model of the problem of optimizing centralized three-level topological structures of closed logistics networks; a function for evaluating the overall utility of options based on the Kolmogorov-Gabor polynomial is offered. The following methods are used: methods of systems theory, methods of utility theory, optimization and operations research. The following results were obtained: the analysis of the current state of the problem of system optimization of logistics networks, mathematical models and methods for its solution was carried out; formalization of the problem of structural and topological optimization of logistics networks as geographically distributed objects; a mathematical model of a two-criterion task of reengineering of three-level topological structures of logistics networks in terms of costs and efficiency with integrated points of production and processing has been developed (originality). Conclusions: Based on the results of the analysis of the problem of optimizing the topological structures of logistics systems, it has been established that the problems of direct and reverse logistics are still considered as conditionally independent, which does not allow obtaining effective global solutions. In the context of expanding the network of consumers, changes in delivery volumes, the introduction of environmental restrictions, it is proposed to reengineer the networks, which provides for their radical redesign. The formulated statement and the developed mathematical model of a two-criterion (in terms of cost and efficiency) optimization problem for three-level topological structures for combined production and processing points will increase the efficiency of logistics networks with reverse flows by reducing the cost of reengineering (practical value).

Purpose – Sectors with high transport volumes face the challenge of reengineering existing processes. Furthermore, new models that support transportation processing are required. One possible model would be a fourth party logistics service provider (4PL) approach in order to increase the efficient use of resources. The purpose of this paper is to describe a method for reengineering a transportation handling process using the 4PL approach. Design/methodology/approach – Based upon a case study approach existing processes for transportation handling are modelled. Specifications of and definitions for the 4PL approach are compiled and analysed through a literature review. With the help of expert interviews essential functions are identified and the target model is validated. Findings – The results of the effort demonstrate that the application of a 4PL approach facilitates an improved transportation process. This may be due to the modification of the IT and communication technology (ICT) that have been applied. Based upon expanded planning horizons an improved planning of orders, a strengthening of the competencies of the involved actors were observed. Practical implications – Transportation handling in the agricultural sector is of increasing importance in light of the need to feed a growing global population under the condition of limited productive land for agriculture. This paper describes the alterations in the ICT infrastructure as well as the resulting organisational and technical implications, if a 4PL is used. Originality/value – The 4PL approach is an issue that is increasingly discussed in scientific publications. Furthermore, this approach has experienced new opportunities for implementation due to recent developments in ICT.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to address the need of a reengineering of the software development process in a Mexican technology services company. In general, the main risk faced by small- and medium-sized software developers (SMEs) is the inability to meet delivery times or to adjust to project requirements, whether through lack of follow-up on the critical activities of the development process or through an inadequate distribution of workloads among members of the project team. Design/methodology/approach The methodology used to carry out the reengineering of the software development process is Hammer and Champy, which consists of six stages: introduction to the current situation of the company and the need for change; identification of the business processes; selection of the business process to be redesigned; understanding of the process selected; proposal for reengineering the business process selected; and the results of the comparison between the current situation of the process and the proposed reengineering of the process through the use of Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN 2.0). Findings Based on the results, the paper shows the importance of the analysis and implementation of the reengineering in a software development company. It describes step-by-step how to apply the methodology of Hammer and Champy in a business process through simulated scenarios, using BPMN 2.0. By carrying out the implementation of the proposed reengineering, the company would therefore save 45.12 percent of costs, 41.17 percent of time, and a better distribution of resources, at the same time guaranteeing the satisfaction of its clients. Originality/value The study addresses the current needs of small- and medium-sized software developers, providing a step-by-step guide to the implementation of a process reengineering methodology, performing an analysis and modeling of processes in BPMN 2.0 and providing results through a simulation of the critical process, with the aim to observe the flow of activities and the significant improvements that would be achieved by implementing the reengineering proposal. This simulation schema allows business owners to observe the potential of the changes and to verify the positive impact they would have on the company before beginning to make operational changes in the organization.

This work aims to study the aggregation of dimensional errors in the reengineering processes using 3D scanning and printing without initial design drawings. A 57-tooth spur gear is used as an example to facilitate the discussion. Two approaches are investigated. The first one builds the gear model based upon measurement taken from a caliper, and the second approach uses a 3D scanner to collect geometry data. Dimensional errors in each stage of these two approaches are investigated. Particular attention is paid to the geometry data flow in the reengineering process from data acquisition and editing to model construction. Recommendations are made in regard to error estimation and alleviation.

The purpose of the present study is to assess the maturity level of government process reengineering and investigate the reasons for not achieving much anticipated benefits of E-Governance implementation across developing countries. The present study qualitatively analyzes the reengineering status of government processes in the current E-Governance implementation practices across India using the Process and Enterprise Maturity Model (PEMM). The structured interview was conducted with key people involved in the E-Governance implementation across India. The findings of study indicated that the E-Governance implementation in India is presently missing on the reengineering of government processes, owing to which these processes are not mature enough to deliver the higher performance post E-Governance implementation. The findings of the study suggested that to ensure the performance of government processes, the need is to focus upon the process enablers and enterprise capabilities.

Aerospace heritage requires tools that allow its transfer and conservation beyond photographs and texts. The complexity of these engineering projects can be collected through digital graphic representation. Nevertheless, physical scale models provide additional information of high value when they involve full detailed information, for which the model in engineering was normally one more product of the manufacturing process, which entails a high cost. However, the standardization of digital fabrication allows the manufacture of high-detail models at low cost. For this reason, in this paper a case study of the graphic reengineering and planning stages for digital fabrication of a full-scale high-detail model (HDM) of the spatial instrument of the European Space Agency, named the Solar Orbiter mission Polarimetric and Helioseismic Imager (SO/PHI), is presented. After the analysis of this experience, seven stages of planning and graphic reengineering are proposed through collaborative work for the low cost digital manufacture of HDMs.

The subject of research in the article is the topological structures of closed logistics networks. The purpose of the work is to create a mathematical model and methods for solving problems of optimization of topological structures of centralized logistics networks in the process of reengineering, taking into account many topological and functional constraints. The article solves the following tasks: analysis of the current state of the problem of system optimization of logistics networks and methods of its solution; formalization of the problem of system optimization of logistics networks as territorially distributed objects; development of a mathematical model of the problem of optimization of centralized three-level topological structures of logistics networks at the stage of reengineering; development of a method for solving the problem of optimization of centralized three-level topological structures of logistics networks at the reengineering stage; estimation of time complexity of the method of optimization of centralized three-level topological structures of logistics networks. The following methods are used: methods of systems theory, methods of utility theory, optimization and operations research. The following results were obtained: analysis of the current state of the problem of system optimization of logistics networks and methods of its solution; the problem of system optimization of logistics networks as territorially distributed objects has been formalized; developed a mathematical model of the problem of reengineering three-level topological structures of logistics networks in terms of cost and efficiency for the case of combined production and processing points; methods of directed search of variants of construction of a logistic network which use procedures of coordinate optimization and modeling of evolution on the basis of genetic algorithm are developed; estimates of the accuracy and time complexity of optimization methods of centralized three-level topological structures of logistics networks are obtained. Conclusions: Based on the results of the study of methods for solving the problem, an approximation of their accuracy and time complexity was performed. In practice, this will allow you to choose a more efficient method for solving large-scale practical problems, based on the required accuracy, available computing and time resources. The method based on the coordinate optimization procedure has a significantly higher accuracy, but it is more complex from a computational point of view. The accuracy of the evolutionary method based on a genetic algorithm can be increased by increasing the number of iterations. The practical use of the proposed mathematical model and methods of reengineering the topological structures of centralized closed logistics systems by jointly solving problems for direct and reverse flows will reduce the cost of transport activities of companies. In the analytical part, the features of the VAT refund to the exporting company are analyzed in detail. To formalize and describe business processes, the notation IDEF0 and IDEF3 was chosen. In the design part, the ―AS IS‖ model was analyzed and the main problems of the model were identified. A strategy for the future strategy based on the IDEF0 methodology was developed.

In the analytical part, the features of the VAT refund to the exporting company are analyzed in detail. To formalize and describe business processes, the notation IDEF0 and IDEF3 was chosen. In the design part, the ―AS IS‖ model was analyzed and the main problems of the model were identified. A strategy for the future strategy based on the IDEF0 methodology was developed.

The definition and use of multi-valued constant propagation analysis (MVCP), which is an extension of simple constant propagation analysis, is presented in this paper in the context of a user interface reengineering process. A brief description of the adopted COBOL/CICS user interface reengineering model, which makes use of an Abstract User Interface Description Language (AUIDL) to represent user interface structures and behavior, is also given. The experimental context is described and results are shown and discussed. Suggestions for further directions of research and investigation are also presented.

The quality of decisions, including in land management, need sufficient, precise and accurate data and information. Land Information System at national level become strategic instruments in providing data and information of land, that nowadays not only needed to provide legal certainty of land ownership, but also to support decision making in land management in term of restructuring land tenure and ownership, land value arrangement, land use planning and arrangement, and permit/license related to land development. The existing Land Management Information System (SIMTANAS) was considered irrelevant with current needs. In its database organization, the existing SIMTANAS only account on land registration. Land information that considered as strategic information, such as restriction of land use and arrangement, and responsibilities related to land right and ownership have not been integrated into the system. Regarding this condition, reengineering of SIMTANAS is considered crucial. Reengineering can be implemented using model driven approach with Unified Modeling Language (UML). UML is able to model reengineering from organizational model, functional model, static model and dynamic model of SIMTANAS. Kualitas keputusan, termasuk di dalamnya keputusan-keputusan dalam manajemen pertanahan sangat memerlukan data dan informasi yanng memadai, tepat, dan akurat. Sistem Informasi Pertanahan Nasional menjadi intrumen strategis dalam penyediaan data dan informasi pertanahan yang dewasa ini tidak hanya untuk kepentingan jaminan kepastian hukum penguasaan dan pemilikan tanah, namun sudah harus mampu mendukung keputusan-keputusan manajemen pertanahan dalam hal penataan penguasaan dan pemilikan tanah (land tenure), pengaturan yang terkait dengan nilai tanah (land value), pengaturan dan perencanaan penggunaan dan pemanfatan ruang (land use), dan pengaturan perizinan yang terkait dengan kegiatan pembangunan di atas bidang tanah (land development). Sistem Informasi Manajemen Pertanahan Nasional atau disebut SIMTANAS yang sudah ada tidak relevan lagi dengan kebutuhan karena disamping penyusunan basis data hanya berdasarkan pendaftaran tanah, informasi-informasi strategis bidang tanah, berupa pengaturan apa yang boleh dan tidak boleh dilakukan (restriction) serta kewajiban-kewajiban yang melekat pada bidang tanah (servitude) atau disebut aspek responsibility belum terintegrasi didalamnya. Rekayasa ulang (reengineering) SIMTANAS menjadi urgen dilakukan. Rekayasa ulang dapat menggunaka pendekatan model driven menggunakan unified modelling language (UML) UML dapat memodelkan rekayasa ulang mulai dari model organisasional, fungsional, model statis maupun model dinamis SIMTANAS.

Purpose: This study examined the relationship between business model transformation and business process reengineering of information technology companies in Nigeria. Methodology: The study adopted a cross-sectional research survey. The population of the study was the 4 major information technology companies that met the capitalization base condition as listed in Nigeria Stock Exchange. Questionnaire was the major instrument for data collection and the pilot survey was distributed to 50 respondents to help ascertain the possible response outcome on the long run if the entire respondents are examined. A Cronbach alpha of 0.7 was used to determine the level of reliability of the research instrument. The hypotheses were tested using the Spearman Rank Order Correlation Coefficient with the aid of Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 23.0. Results The findings revealed that there is a significant relationship between business model transformation and business process reengineering of information technology companies in Nigeria. The study specifically found that there is a significant relationship between business model transformation and process formation in information technology companies in Nigeria. Also, the study found that there is a significant relationship between business model transformation and enhanced capabilities in information technology companies in Nigeria. Finally, the study found that that there is a significant relationship between business model transformation and efficiency improvements in information technology companies in Nigeria. Based on the study findings, the researchers conclude that domain transformation significantly relate with business process reengineering in information technology companies in Nigeria. Unique contribution: The study recommends that preference to expertise can be emphasized through the acknowledgement and appreciation of skill and creativity within the workplace in a manner that recognizes and encourages knowledge development and skill upgrades within the organization, thereby driving competence in the workforce of the organization.

This study developed an information lifecycle-oriented information management system model for architectural design industry by combining information lifecycle theory with information management system for architectural design industry. In addition to improving weak/complicated processes during information management for architectural design industry, this integrated model merged information lifecycle theory on routine information management operations, and therefore enhances business sensitivity of information management and promotes effectiveness of information management. Furthermore, with the information management process reengineering, this paper studied the theory and framework of information lifecycle flow based on information process mechanism on integrated information management phases for architectural design industry. The paper established an analytical framework for the study of the process and mechanism of disaster information process reengineering and taking the architectural design industry for example, this paper analyzed diversified phases of integrated process for information management of architectural design industry. Key outcomes of this study include the demonstration and assessment of the information process mechanism and information management for architectural design industry based on information lifecycle theory. This study established a new direction for future research on information lifecycle-oriented process reengineering for architectural design industry.
