Technology is being used and improved by human beings over a long period of time now and Smartphones is one of them. Smart Phones contain touch screen, built in keyboard, high resolution camera, front side camera for video conferencing, etc. They are used for making and receiving calls, sending and receiving messages, accessing the Internet, digital media, incorporating audio/video recording etc. Different smart phones have different operating systems and mobile applications are developed for each operating system in smart phones, tablet or mobile phones, in order to serve the needs of the user. These apps are either preinstalled or downloadable from online app market that can do almost everything. Apps make a mobile be like a portable computer having multi core processors, gigabytes of memory and a real operating system. Originally mobile apps were made available for only calling, messaging and informational purposes like calendar, weather forecast, e- mail, etc. With improvement in technology and increase in user demands, developers started making apps for other purposes like games, banking, video chats etc. Some apps are also used to present data in the same format as on a computer website and also allow you to download content that you can use when there is no Internet. There are many apps available in market today for different Operating Systems in which Android is having the maximum market share these days.

In this study, a mobile application was developed for courses at undergraduate level. The application has not only been developed and used, but has also been used practically for 8 weeks. In other words, the findings are based on a practical experience rather than a theoretical basis. This study aimed to determine the opinions of students who participated in the development and application process of an Android application named NEU-CEIT about the mobile learning environment, educational and sharing structure of the developed application. A total of 27 students participated and students were asked to upload the developed application and examine the content. Following the application, students were administered an environment evaluation questionnaire. Data of the research were collected with survey method. Data obtained in the research were analyzed through the views of experts. According to the results, it was revealed that outcomes related with the usage structure of the developed application were positive, educational structure of the application is appropriate to follow the curriculum, it is rich in terms of materials and it might be one of the applications that students can use for communication. The results also showed that mobile applications will support education and increase motivation. This study supports that mobile applications improve academic achievement. Keywords: Mobile learning, android application, application development.

The research objective is to develop an application that allows users to participate in a loyalty program and facilitate Smartphone enterprise (Merchant) in access, sale and observation of customer transactions through mobile applications. Design method used is object-based design that includes a UML of use case diagrams, use case narrative, class diagram, sequence diagrams and activity diagrams. Results achieved in the form of mobile applications that are able to facilitate customer in managing loyalty cards as well as to increase customer loyalty. This application features, such as add points, redeem, news, transaction history, and message that can facilitate customer in managing customer loyalty card. The conclusion of this design is that the application of E Points can enable customers to manage a loyalty card in Smartphone, add points, redeem rewards, obtain the latest promotional information through news features, and view transaction history.

The Android Mobiles constitute a large portion of mobile market which also attracts the malware developer for malicious gains. Every year hundreds of malwares are detected in the Android market. Unofficial and Official Android market such as Google Play Store are infested with fake and malicious apps which is a warning alarm for naive user. Guided by this insight, this paper presents the malicious application detection and classification system using machine learning techniques by extracting and analyzing the Android Permission Feature of the Android applications. For the feature extraction, the authors of this work have developed the AndroData tool written in shell script and analyzed the extracted features of 1060 Android applications with machine learning algorithms. They have achieved the malicious application detection and classification accuracy of 98.2% and 87.3%, respectively with machine learning techniques.

Sehingga pendidik dapat mentransfer ilmunya melalui media audio dan visual yang lebih imajinatif.Perangkat berjalan atau mobile devices sudah menjadi kebutuhan primer saat ini. Mulai dari anak-anak sampai orang dewasa sudah sangat fasih menggunakan alat-alat seperti notebook, smartphone, dan tablet pc. Apalagi dengan meledaknya OS android yang bersifat terbuka, sehingga membuat penetrasi perangkat mobile seperti smartphone dan tablet pc menjadi semakin gencar. Bahkan karena hal tersebut dalam dunia mobile telah menciptakan suatu istilah perangkat mobile baru yaitu phablet (phone tablet). Dengan kondisi ini maka sangat memungkinkan untuk menggunakan alat-alat tersebut pada proses belajarmengajar serta dengan bersifat terbukanya os android sehingga mempermudah untuk pengembangan aplikasi, khususnya aplikasi untuk pendidikan.Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) merancang aplikasi SharingScreenCapture; (2) mengimplementasikan rancangan aplikasi SharingScreenCapture. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan, mengembangkan aplikasi Sharing Screen Capture, dengan menggunakan model waterfall sampai pada tahap pengujian sistem. SharingScreenCapturemerupakan aplikasi yang akan dikembangkan oleh peneliti menggunakan android os, dengan tujuan untuk mempermudah proses presentasi. Dengan aplikasi ini diharapkan dapat menjadi alternatif pengganti proyektor dengan perangkat mobile, sehingga lebih mempermudah proses belajar-mengajar karena menggunakan alat-alat mobile yang dimiliki peserta didik dalam menampilkan presentasi dari perangkat android pendidik yang terkoneksi pada jaringan wireless yang sama.

<p class="0abstract">Building context-aware mobile applications is one of the most ambitious areas of research. Such applications can change their behavior according to context or perform specific tasks in specific contexts. Regardless of the application, all context-aware mobile applications share the need to retrieve and process context information. This paper presents a Context Management tool for the Android platform (ACM). ACM allows easy access to internal on-board mobile sensors and hardware features extracting corresponding raw data. Raw context is processed into higher-level more human-readable context that is provided seamlessly to the mobile applications. Different methods are used for this purpose including fuzzy classifiers. Since different mobiles have different sensors and hardware features, ACM can adapt to the mobile device by deactivating access to unavailable ones. Information regarding the available sensors and hardware features and their specifications can also be queried. Additionally, applications can request notifications regarding context change or specific context values. In addition to providing developers with supporting classes and methods, ACM is accompanied by an application that allows developers to examine its functionality and capabilities before using it. The application can be also used to examine the readings of the different sensors in different situations and thus calibrate them as needed. Additionally, it can be used to modify and personalize default interpretations of raw context values to high-level ones. ACM has been tested empirically and the results show extreme interest of context-aware mobile application developers in its promising capabilities and that it is conducive to facilitating, speeding up and triggering development of many more of such applications.</p>

Abstract The aims of this research are: (1) producing a mobile applications android based for sensor and transducer field of study on vocational education; (2) know the quality of the product mobile applications android based for sensor and transducer field study on vocational education. The method used is the Software Development Life Cycle with the Waterfall model. The stages in Waterfall model are: (1) requirements definition; (2) system and software design; (3) implementation and unit testing; (4) integration and system testing; (5) operation and maintenance. The black box test results show the performance of Sensor application software can all function properly. While the results of the compatibility test show the application can run on various android systems (at least Android 4.2).

Mobile operating systems (e.g., iOS, Android, Windows Mobile, etc) are becoming powerful platforms on which various applications can be installed and run. Each mobile OS offers application store (e.g., Apple App Store, Android Play, etc) for developers to easily publish applications and earn profits. However, existing mobile platforms provide little means for mobile users to evaluate risks on allowing certain security permissions when installing mobile applications. Since mobile users may not be able to justify the risks on allowing certain permissions required by an application, mobile users may install malware with extra permissions, which leads to security risk for mobile users, e.g., private information leaked, etc. In this paper, we present process and visual User Interface for mobile users to understand and justify the risks on permissions required by mobile applications during installation. We also present two algorithms for calculating the risks.

Due to people in companies use mobile devices to access corporate data, attackers targeting corporate data use vulnerabilities in mobile devices. Most vulnerabilities in applications are caused by the carelessness of developers, and confused deputy attacks and data leak attacks using inter-application vulnerabilities are possible. These vulnerabilities are difficult to find through the single-application diagnostic tool that is currently being studied. This paper proposes a process to automate the decompilation of all the applications on a user’s mobile device and a mechanism to find inter-application vulnerabilities. The mechanism generates a list and matrix, detailing the vulnerabilities in the mobile device. The proposed mechanism is validated through an experiment on an actual mobile device with four installed applications, and the results show that the mechanism can accurately capture all application risks as well as inter-application risks. Through this mechanism, users can expect to find the risks in their mobile devices in advance and prevent damage.

Based on the analysis of the problem, it isproposed making a mobile application with some features needed by patients. The design andmanufacture of this application is divided into three parts, namely database using MySQL, webapplications using PHP and mobile applications using Android. Based on respondent data, it can beconcluded that this application has several uses for respondents.

Problem. The subject of the study is an interactive mobile application in Java. To perform this work, the following tasks were set: analysis of programming environments and languages of development; analysis of methods for developing the logic and interface of the mobile application; development of an interactive mobile application in Java. Goal. The aim of the work is to develop a mobile application for learning a foreign language for the Android operating system, whose interface and logic will be modern, user-friendly and accessible to users. Methodology. The general concept of a mobile application for learning a foreign language is as follows: learning a foreign language offline, versatile learning (words, grammar), the presence of a motivational unit, simple design. The object of research is the process of building an interactive mobile application in Java for the Android operating system. In the course of the work, a study of programming languages and environments for the development of mobile applications was conducted. Programming languages such as: Java, C ++, C # were considered. Programming environments such as Android Studio, NetBeans and Eclipse were also analyzed. As a result, the Java programming language and Android Studio programming environment were chosen for the development of the mobile application. Two types of markup were selected: LinearLayout; ConstraintLayout. Results. The mobile application for learning a foreign language for the Android operating system was developed in Android Studio in two programming languages: Java (logic) and XML (interface). The aim to provide the application with modern interface and logic, to make it user-friendly and accessible to users was completed. Originality. Contribution has been made to the field of using smartphones for learning foreign languages. The sphere of using smartphones has been expanded with the use of all modern trends to the creation of mobile applications for learning foreign languages. Practicalvalue. Considering that the number of potential users will only increase in the nearest future, the developed mobile application for learning a foreign language is an ideal platform for educating those who want to develop and learn foreign languages for themselves, as well as for work, communication and travel.

<p><span>In recent years, the evolvement of mobile devices which perform sophisticated functions have been on the rise. Mobile applications which solved engineering challenges are now available due to the high computational capabilities, large random access memory and storage location of the mobile devices. An Android application called signal detect, which measures network signal strength value from 2G-4G received on an android mobile device has been developed using android app development environment called Android studio. Validation becomes necessary because different readings were obtained on smartphones with different specifications. Two validation techniques were used to validate the data obtained. To know the efficiency of the application; a field strength meter was used to compare the readings received on the mobile device with the meter. It was observed that there is a time lag on the received values of the mobile device to the field strength meter. Therefore, a moving average technique was used to correlate the two data which increased the correlation coefficient to about 0.85.</span></p>

Along with technological development in the modern era who want a service that is not limited by place and time, practice TOEFL can be made on mobile devices more flexible and efficient. Therefore constructed a TOEFL application using the Android operating system. The results of tests performed showed that these applications can run all the functions and features are as expected. Then the application is very helpful for the user in preparing their Toefl test.

The main target of this community service activity is the 3rd &amp; 5th semester Computer System Study Program students at the Faculty of Science and Technology at the Panca Budi Development University in using Android technology, where learning about Android has been carried out but not maximized in building a Mobile Application. The method used is to provide training and demonstrations in making Multimedia Applications using Android Studio with online media support in the form of Zoom, YouTube, and Google Drive links. The results of the feedback response to material questions submitted by the resource person were 67% very good, participant responses to the material presented were 41% good, the relationship between material and participant needs was 59% very good, the relationship between material and applications that could be absorbed by participants was 54% very good, the linkage of the material with needs is 42% good, the presentation technique of the presenter is 56% very good, the time spent by the presenter is 44% giving a good response, the clarity of the material is 59% clear, the interest of the participants is 47% good, and overall satisfaction level of 51% gave a satisfied response to the training activities.</p>

Destination places in the form of hotels, tourist destinations, sports, shopping, places of worship and tourism. This tourist destination in the metropolitan city has an important role as the heart of the city community activities. In this study discusses the use of the internet as a medium to find Batam Destination information combined by using an Android-based mobile application. The method used is Location Based Service (LBS) according to the location of the user to get the location and route to the destination of the destination in a quick and easy way. The application design phase uses some storage assistance in MySQL as a database on the webserver. This destination search application has the main feature of being able to find the closest destination location according to the user's location at that time by utilizing GPS technology. After the application is produced it will be tested with Alpha Test. The result of this research is a geographic information system application for Destinations Batam. The results of system testing indicate that this information system is feasible and can be used.

The number of applications running on the software platforms of smart phones or other smart devices is constantly growing. Radiotherapy also benefits from applications (apps) for TNM staging of cancers, for target volume delineation and toxicity management but also from radiobiological apps for calculating equivalent dose schemes for different dose fractionation regimens. In the context of the increasingly frequent use of altered fractionation schemes, the use of radiobiological models and calculations based on the linear quadratic model (LQ) becomes a necessity. We aim to evaluate free radiobiology apps for the Android software platform. Given the global educational deficit, the lack of experts and the concordance between radiobiology education and the need to use basic clinical notions of modern radiotherapy, the existence of free apps for the Android platform running on older generation processors can transform even an old smart device in a powerful “radiobiology station.” Apps for radiobiology can help the radiation oncologist and medical physicist with responsibilities in radiotherapy treatment planning in the context of accelerated adoption of hypo-fractionation regimens and calculation of the effect of treatment gaps, a topic of interest in the COVID-19 pandemic context. Radiobiology apps can also partially fill the educational gap in radiobiology by arousing the interest of young radiation oncologists to deepen the growing universe of fundamental and clinical radiobiology.

Mobile credit transaction application for Android Devices is an application with user-friendly design and can make the credit’s seller easier to top up customer’s credit. This application can be used on an Android smartphone with minimal version android KitKat. The benefit of this application is to facilitate and accelerate the transaction credit delivery by the seller. This application is expected to facilitate the credit’s seller doing transaction by providing a transaction history, mark the customer’s debt and reports a valid seller's income as well as provide a report format the transaction automatically after the user do some settings at the beginning of the use of the application.

In this study, the author made a mobile application that contains academic informations that complements the class schedule, the final semester exam schedule, incidental schedules, academic calendar and the latest announcements with push notification as a reminder for students. With this application it is expected that students can access and obtain the latest information anywhere more easily.

Along with the innovation of mobile network technology, the associated network application engine technology has also improved. In this paper, we use the JDK tools of Android system in the Eclipse environment and SDK & ADT plug-ins to design mobile application engine of Android system. And the system will be introduced to the communication terminal system. In order to verify the performance of engine system, we use the function test platform of Android system to test the mobile network application engine, and compare it with JSP engine and Java engine. By contrast, in the same network application project search, Android network will search more projects and cost less time, which verifies the advantages of the system. It provides the technical reference for the development of mobile application network system.

Securing confidential information on mobile platforms has been, is, and will be a topical issue for specialists. In order to eliminate these vulnerabilities, specialized companies have made some patches, but these do not constitute a real guarantee that the same or any other applications will not be attacked and exploited without the users' will. Mitigating these attacks on smartphones can be achieved by securing mobile phones from both users and mobile providers. This article proposes the development of a chat application on the Android platform as a solution to ensure the security of digital data that is transferred through the available communication platforms. When designing this mobile application, the sudden increase in the number of users was taken into account so that the application is stable and creates a pleasant experience for them.

Smartphones have become a major part of human’s life. And also it has been seen that new mobile applications are built day by day. Currently mobile applications are playing major role in many areas such as banking, social networking, financial apps, entertainment and many more. With this increasing number of applications, security is an important issue. The growth of android market has increased security risk and thus focus should be given to the security. Security is the biggest issue in the field of mobile technology. Therefore, mobile applications need to be assessed and ensure that secure coding practices have been followed during development. Mobile application security breach can lead to fraudulent transactions through mobile applications, confidentiality and revenue loss through communications services misuse. Data that is shared on an unsecured channel is vulnerable to attacks and to stop unauthorized access to this data, there is need to encrypt the data before it is sent to the server. In this research work, different cryptographic algorithms for encrypting data and secure data sharing in mobile applications across communications channels were examined. Simulation methodology was used to investigate a suitable cryptographic algorithm and to design a security framework for mobile applications to solve mobile application security problems. The proposed framework employs the use of Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm for encrypting meter readings data being exchanged between a smart phone and the server. The results obtained from the simulation of the security framework, showed that the four fields namely: Account number, image path, meter number and phone number on which AES encryption was applied were in an unreadable format (ciphertext), implying that the fields have been successfully encrypted. This solution allows application users to transfer (upload readings) data between a smart phone and database server in a secure manner without facing the problem of data attack. Data being uploaded to the server is encrypted before it is transferred and decrypted once it reaches the server side. This solution addresses android application security in the application and network communications layers and data transmission. The research paper ensures information security is guaranteed between an organisation and its customers.
