Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk membuat peta akuifer air tanah di Masjid Kampus Unsrat dan sekitarnya. Penelitian untuk mendapatkan nilai resistivitas lapisan tanah dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode geolistrik konfigurasi Wenner-Schlumberger dengan jumlah lintasan pengukuran sebanyak 5 lintasan. Jumlah data setiap lintasan pengukuran sebanyak 576 data, dan diolah menggunakan software RES2DINV. Hasil berupa gambar tampang lintang resistivitas 2D yang digunakan untuk menentukan posisi akuifer air tanah. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa adanya lapisan dengan nilai resistivitas rendah yaitu 0,12 Ωm-0,64 Ωm. Posisi lapisan dengan nilai resistivitas rendah merupakan lapisan pembawa air dan terdapat di sebelah Selatan, Barat dan Utara Masjid Kampus. Lintasan 1 ada pada meter ke 170-180 dengan kedalaman 5 hingga 30 meter. Lintasan 3 keberadaan air tanah terdapat di meter ke 150-155 dengan kedalam 2 meter-17 meter. Lintasan 4 keberadaan air tanah ada pada meter ke 38-48 dengan kedalaman 8 meter-20 meter. Lintasan 5 keberadaan air tanah ada pada meter ke 50-60 dengan kedalaman 2 meter-10 meter.Research had been done to create a map of groundwater aquifers in Unsrat Campus Mosque and its surroundings. Research to obtain a layer of soil resistivity values ​​were measured using the Wenner-Schlumberger geoelectric configuration with the number of measurement tracks as much as 5 tracks. The amount of data of each track is as many as 576 measurement data, and processed using software RES2DINV. Results are cross-sectional images of 2D resistivity were used to determine the position of groundwater aquifers. The results indicate that the presence of a layer with low resistivity values ​​are 0.12 Ωm-0.64 Ωm. The position of the layer with low resistivity values ​​is water bearing layers and are in the South, West and North Campus Mosque. Tracks 1 exists at 170-180 meters to a depth of 5 to 30 meters. Tracks 3 where the ground water contained in the 150-155 meters to 2 meters into 17 meters. Tracks 4 where groundwater is on 38-48 meters to a depth of 8 meters-20 meters. Tracks 5 where ground water is on 50-60 meters to a depth of 2 meters-10 meters.

Abstract Apparent losses are mainly due to metering errors in well-managed water supply systems. There are many types of water meters based on mechanisms to measure flow passing through. Therefore, selection of water meter type is important as meter type effects measurement accuracy. In this study, a total of 50 domestic water meters were tested under varying flow rates and different water pressures. Water consumptions of end-users show temporal changes depending on the life style of consumers. Flow rates passing through the water meter and water consumption profiles affect water meter accuracy. Water consumption of a couple of end-users was monitored and consumption patterns were extracted and obtained water consumption patterns were used to determine water meter errors. The collection method was applied for determination of water meter errors. Starting flow rates, error curves and weighted error of water meters were measured in a laboratory setup. Tested volumetric-type water meters have the lowest starting flow rate and the highest accuracy whereas single-jet water meters have the lowest accuracy and the highest starting flow rate. This study aimed to provide insights on the accuracy of water meters under varying flow rates and water pressures, and advantageous information for water meter-type selection.

Two types of nondestructive chlorophyll meters were compared with a standard, destructive chlorophyll measurement technique. The nondestructive chlorophyll meters were 1) a custom built, single-wavelength meter, and 2) the recently introduced, dual-wavelength, chlorophyll meter from Minolta (model SPAD-502). Data from both meters were closely correlated with destructive measurements of chlorophyll (r2 = 0.90 and 0.93; respectively) for leaves with chlorophyll concentrations ranging from 100 to 600 mg·m-2, but both meters consistently overestimated chlorophyll outside this range. Although the dual-wavelength meter was slightly more accurate than the single-wavelength meter (higher r2), the light-scattering properties of leaf cells and the nonhomogeneous distribution of chlorophyll in leaves appear to limit the ability of all meters to estimate in vivo chlorophyll concentration.

This paper is about bonding meters, their principles, specifications and usage of bonding meters in aviation. The bonding meter is essentially a milliohm meter. It is used for measuring small values of resistance. The word “bonding” means that conductive parts of aircraft are bonded together by a conductive connection. The bonding meter tests, if the conductive connections are really conductive. This paper is, in its essence, a study how to use bonding meter and its usage. The usage is focused on the aviation. The first part of the paper describes bonding meter´s purpose and its specifications. There are several types of the bonding meters and every type has different specifications. The next part describes bonding meter´s usage, its application and measuring principles. The bonding meters can be used by different ways so it is good to explain the most used principles. The last part of this paper summarizes all mentioned knowledge and shows authors opinion to a development of the bonding measurements.

This research objective was to determine the condition of Coral Reef ecosystems in Dakokayu and Hogow Islands, Southeast Minahasa Regency. The method that has been used in this studies that is Line Intercept Transect (LIT) by diving activities at 5 meter and 10 meters depth with 50 meters transect length. Each biota passed by the line transect recorded according based on shape of growth.Coral Reefs conditon in Hogow Island in 5 meters and 10 meters depth were categorized as a “Good” where the percentage of live coral cover in 5 meters depth is 70.12% and in 10 meters depth is 55.78%. The condition of Coral Reefs on Dokokayu Island at a depth of 5 meters is categorized “Good” with the percentage of live coral cover is 56.32% while in the 10 meters depth it is categorized as “Medium” with the percentage of live coral cover is 48.10%. Water quality parameters such as temperature, salinity, brightness, pH, and dissolved oxygen (DO) are within the range of tolerance for Coral Reefs to survive.Keywords: Condition, Coral Reef, Hogow, DokokayuABSTRAKTujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui kondisi ekosistem terumbu karang di Pulau Dakokayu dan Pulau Hogow, Kabupaten Minahasa Tenggara. Metode yang telah digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Line Intercept Transek (LIT) dengan melakukan penyelaman pada kedalaman 5 dan 10 meter dengan panjang transek 50 meter. Setiap biota yang dilewati transek akan dicatat menurut bentuk pertumbuhannya. Secara umum, kondisi terumbu karang di Pulau Hogow pada kedalaman 5 meter dan 10 meter, dikategorikan Baik dimana persentasi tutupan karang hidup pada kedalaman 5 meter sebesar 70,12% dan pada kedalaman 10 meter sebesar 55,78%. Kondisi terumbu karang di Pulau Dokokayu pada kedalaman 5 meter dikategorikan Baik dengan persentase tutupan karang hidup 56,32% sedangkan di kedalaman 10 meter dikategorikan Sedang dengan persentase tutupan karang hidup 48,10 %. Parameter kualitas perairan seperti suhu, salinitas, kecerahan, pH, dan oksigen terlarut (DO) berada dalam kisaran toleransi bagi terumbu karang untuk dapat bertahan hidup.Kata Kunci : Kondisi, Terumbu Karang, Hogow, Dokokayu

Telah dilakukan penelitian dengan mengukur nilai resistivitas pada lapisan tanah di Paniki Bawah melalui lintasan yang sudah ditentukan yaitu sebanyak 5 lintasan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode konfigurasi Dipole-Dipole dengan spasi antar elektroda bervariasi , lintasan 1 jarak antar elektorda 10 meter dengan panjang lintasan 480 meter, lintasan 2 dan 3 jarak antar elektroda 5 meter dengan panjang lintasan 240 meter, lintasan 5 dengan jarak 10 meter dengan panjang lintasan 240 meter dan lintasan terakhir jara antar elektroda adalah 5 meter dengan panjang lintasan 120 meter. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tiap-tiap lintasan adanya zona-zona lemah dengan nilai resistivitas <10 Ωm yang diidentifikasikan sebagai lapisan air panas dan nilai resistivitas >100 Ωm diindikasikan sebagai batuan penghantar panas.Research has been carried out by measuring the resistivity values it the soil layers in the lower Paniki through path already specified as much as 5 trajectory. The methods used in this research is a method of Dipole-Dipole configuration an the configuration of the Pole-Pole with a space between electrodes varies, lap 1 the distance between the electrodes of 10 meters with a long trajectory of 480 metres, the distance between the 2 and 3 electrode 5 meters by track length 240 meters, the 4 track length 240 meters and spacing between electrodes of 10 meters last lap while the distance between the electrode is 5 meter with a long trajectory of 120 meters. The results showed that each path shows the existence of zones of weak value of resistivity <10 Ωm who identify as layers in hot water and resistivity values >100 Ωm rock the hot conductor indicated as.

ABSTRACT This study was conducted to determine the species composition and commu-nity structure of Pomacentridae (relative density, diversity, dominance and even-ness of species). This research was conducted in waters of the Manado Bay, at Kelurahan Malalayang Dua shore, on August 14th, 2012. The studies was conduc-ted on 2 sites, one has 3 meters depth (01o27'40.5" NL 124o47'32.5" EL) and ano-ther at 10 meters depth (01o27'43.6" NL 124o47'27.8" EL). The results and analysis of data, the total number of species found at a depth of 2 points is 15 species, in which was found at a depth of 3 meters at a depth of 10 species and 15 species discovered 10 meters. The species most commonly found is Pomacentrus brachial and Dascyllus reticulatus. The highest relative density values at a depth of 3 meters is Dascyllus reticulatus (22%) and at depth10 meters is Pomacentrus brachialis (18%). Diversity index at 3 meters depth is 1.941 while at 10 meters is 2.326. The result showed that diversity of Pomacentridae is low at 3 meters depth and average at 10 meters depth which means moderate community hability. At both depths, there was no species dominance and the avenness was stable. Keywords : Community Structure, Pomacentridae, Manado Gulf ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui komposisi spesies dan struktur komunitas ikan Pomacentridae (kepadatan relatif, keanekaragaman, dominasi dan kemerataan spesies). Lokasi penelitian di Teluk Manado, tepatnya di perairan depan Kelurahan Malalayang Dua. Penelitian dilakukan pada 2 titik kedalaman yaitu kedalaman 3 meter (01o27’40.5” LU 124 o47’32.5” BT) dan kedalaman 10 meter pada koordinat (01o27’43.6” LU 124 o47’27.8” BT). Metode yang digunakan adalah metode sensus visual, dengan penentuan jalur mengunakan penanda me-teran sepanjang 50 meter yang diletakkan di daerah terumbu karang yang sejajar garis pantai. Hasil penelitian dan analisis data, jumlah total spesies yang ditemu-kan pada 2 titik kedalaman adalah 15 spesies, di mana pada kedalaman 3 meter ditemukan 10 spesies dan pada kedalaman 10 meter ditemukan 15 spesies. Spe-sies yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah Pomacentrus brachialis dan Dascyllus reticulatus. Nilai kepadatan relatif tertinggi pada kedalaman 3 meter ada-lah spe-sies Dascyllus reticulatus 22% dan pada kedalaman 10 meter adalah Pomacentrus brachialis 18%. Indeks keanekaragaman pada kedalaman 3 meter adalah 1,941 sedangkan pada kedalaman 10 meter dengan nilai 2,326. Hal ini menunjukkanbahwa keanekaragaman ikan Pomacentridae pada kedalaman 3 meter adalah rendah dan pada kedalaman 10 meter keanekaragamannya adalah sedang dengan kestabilan komunitas sedang. Pada ke dua kedalaman ini tidak ada spesies dominasi dan kemerataannya adalah stabil. Four different land gravity meters were run side by side on a test range in eastern Texas. This test range was designed to duplicate typical field survey conditions encountered in gravity measurements on 3-D land seismic surveys. A profile of 270 stations was acquired with a station spacing of 33.5 m (110 ft). The four meters were Scintrex CG-3, Sodin, LaCoste & Romberg (L&R) G-meter, and Edcon/L&R Super-G meter. The purpose of this study was to determine which of the four meters had the best balance of accuracy, convenience, and speed of measurement for these specialized surveys. All four meters had their limitations, and no single meter was greatly superior to the others. The CG-3 was awkward in leveling, had a large (368 μGal per day) drift rate, and had some quirks in its user interface. The Sodin meter had problems controlling its temperature and, at one point, had a very high 935 μGal per day drift rate. It had the poorest accuracy of the four. The G-meter lacked a convenient digital user interface; thus, it was susceptible to operator blunder in misreading or recording the data. The Super-G meter also had some problems in its user interface, had only a 6-mGal range without a range change, and was the heaviest of the field instruments. An unbiased statistical estimator was developed to analyze the data. The technique determined the best three meters at each station. Both the G-meter and the Super-G meter produced the most accurate data. They had an average absolute deviation from the mean of 20 and 23 μGal, respectively. In comparison, the two quartz meters—the CG-3 and the Sodin—had an average absolute deviation from the mean of 31 and 46 μGal, respectively. We would like to see the manufacturers improve (or add, in the case of the G-meter and the Sodin) their digital interfaces. Additionally, we would like to see upgrades in the thermal control systems in all the meters. The single largest amount of station time was devoted to leveling (rather than reading) the meters. Significant advances can be envisioned to create fast, automated leveling systems in all the meters.

Western music is characterized primarily by simple meters, but a number of other musical cultures, including Turkish, have both simple and complex meters. In Experiment 1, Turkish and American adults with and without musical training were asked to detect metrical changes in Turkish music with simple and complex meter. Musicians performed significantly better than nonmusicians, and performance was significantly better on simple meter than on complex meter, but Turkish listeners performed no differently than American listeners. In Experiment 2, members of Turkish classical and folk music clubs who were tested on the same materials exhibited comparable sensitivity to simple and complex meters, unlike the American and Turkish listeners in Experiment 1. Together, the findings reveal important effects of musical training and culture on meter perception: trained musicians are generally more sensitive than nonmusicians, regardless of metrical complexity, but sensitivity to complex meter requires sufficient exposure to musical genres featuring such meters.

Smart cities require interactive management of water supply networks and water meters play an important role in such a task. As compared to fully mechanical water meters, electromechanical water meters or fully electronic water meters can collect real-time information through automatic meter reading (AMR), which makes them more suitable for smart cities applications. In this paper, we first study the design principles of existing water meters, and then present our design and implementation of a self-powered smart water meter. The proposed water meter is based on a water turbine generator, which serves for two purposes: (i) to sense the water flow through adaptive signal processing performed on the generated voltage; and (ii) to produce electricity to charge batteries for the smart meter to function properly. In particular, we present the design considerations and implementation details. The wireless transceiver is integrated in the proposed water meter so that it can provide real-time water flow information. In addition, a mobile phone application is designed to provide a user with a convenient tool for water usage monitoring.

The IEC61850-based digital watt-hour meter is different with conventional meters. The testing method and equipment for conventional meter is no longer applicable for digital meters. A newly designed tester for digital watt-hour meter is presented. The hardware structure and working principle are described. The test has traceability to the conventional standard meter. The tracing test result shows that the tester has accuracy grade of 0.05%.

IDENTIFIKASI PATAHAN MANADO DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE GEOLISTRIK KONFIGURASI WENNER DI KOTA MANADOABSTRAK Identifikasi keberadaan patahan Manado, Sulawesi Utara di Jalan Ringroad Kelurahan Malendeng Kecamatan Paaldua telah dilakukan penelitian menggunakan metode geolistrik tahanan jenis konfigurasi Wenner pada satu lokasi dengan dua lintasan pengukuran dengan panjang bentangan masing-masing 400 meter dengan spasi elektroda 20 meter. Data diolah dengan menggunakan software RES2DINV. Diperoleh hasil dari kedua lintasan dengan nilai resistivitas pada lintasan 1 bernilai (ρ < 311,5 Ωm) dan pada lintasan 2 nilai resistivitas bernilai (ρ < 98,8 Ωm). Nilai resistivitas dengan (ρ < 311,5 Ωm) pada lintasan 1, dan nilai resistivitas (ρ < 98,8 Ωm) pada lintasan 2 menunjukkan rekahan pada lintasan 1 terdapat pada titik bentangan ke 220-240 meter dengan kedalaman 37 meter dan terdapat pada titik ke 280-300 meter dengan kedalaman 15 meter. Sedangkan pada lintasan 2 rekahan terdapat pada titik ke 240-260 meter dengan kedalaman 15 meter. Kata Kunci : Patahan Manado, Metode geolistrik, Konfigurasi Wenner, Software RES2DINV. This resistivity in the first line (ρ 311,5 Ωm) and second line (ρ 98,8 Ωm) is founded already joint in first line at point 220-240 meters with depth is 37 meters and at point 280-300 meters with depth is 15 meters and second line position of joint stays at point 240-260 with depth is 15 meters. Diperoleh hasil dari kedua lintasan dengan nilai resistivitas pada lintasan 1 bernilai (ρ < 311,5 Ωm) dan pada lintasan 2 nilai resistivitas bernilai (ρ < 98,8 Ωm). Nilai resistivitas dengan (ρ < 311,5 Ωm) pada lintasan 1, dan nilai resistivitas (ρ < 98,8 Ωm) pada lintasan 2 menunjukkan rekahan pada lintasan 1 terdapat pada titik bentangan ke 220-240 meter dengan kedalaman 37 meter dan terdapat pada titik ke 280-300 meter dengan kedalaman 15 meter. Sedangkan pada lintasan 2 rekahan terdapat pada titik ke 240-260 meter dengan kedalaman 15 meter. Kata Kunci : Patahan Manado, Metode geolistrik, Konfigurasi Wenner, Software RES2DINV. ABSTRAKStruktur kabel pada jembatan suspension berperan sebagai pemikul utama beban pada jembatan. Perbedaan jenis kabel akan memengaruhi nilai defleksi, tegangan kabel, dan tegangan pada gelagar. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, maka dilakukan studi evaluasi terhadap nilai defleksi jembatan berdasarkan variasi jenis kabel dan variasi panjang bentang. Jenis kabel yang digunakan adalah IWRC 6×36, Spiral Strand Rope, dan Locked-coil Rope dengan bentang 80 meter, 160 meter, dan 200 meter. Sistem pembebanan pada model struktur mengacu pada Surat Edaran Menteri Pekerjaan Umum No.02/SE/M/2010. Analisis struktur menggunakan program aplikasi SAP2000 versi 14. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pada bentang ≤ 80 meter tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara ketiga jenis kabel. Pada bentang 80 meter hingga 160 meter jenis kabel Spiral Strand dan Locked-coil mampu memberikan hasil defleksi yang lebih kecil daripada kabel IWRC 6×36. Sedangkan pada bentang 160 meter hingga lebih dari 200 meter jenis kabel yang paling efektif untuk digunakan adalah jenis kabel Locked-coil.Kata kunci: jembatan pejalan kaki, jembatan suspension, defleksi, jenis kabel ABSTRACTCable structure on suspension bridge act as the main support of the load on the bridge. The difference in the type of cable will affect the value of deflection, tension of cable, and the tension of girder. Due to that condition, then an evaluation study of bridge deflection value based on variation of cable type and span length was performed. Type of cables used are IWRC 6×36, Spiral Strand Rope, and Locked-coil Rope, while the variation of the span are 80 meters, 160 meters, and 200 meters. The load system on the bridge structure model referring to “Surat Edaran Menteri Pekerjaan Umum No.02/SE/M/2010”. The analysis using 14th version of SAP 2000 aplication. The result of analysis shows that in the span less than 80 meters there are no such a significant differences between the three types of cable. In the span of 80 meters to 160 meters, Spiral Strand and Locked-coil profide smaller deflection. While in the span of 160 meters to more than 200 meters, the most effective cable is Locked-coil cable.Keywords: pedestrian bridge, suspension bridge, deflection, cable type

Frequency meters with automatic selection of the measurement limit are used to measure the frequency of the input signal, which varies in a wide range. Signal frequency meters (frequency meters) are one of the most numerous groups of measuring instruments that are widely used in various fields of technology. There are a large number of frequency meters, which are based on different principles. At the same time, the issue of creating frequency change meters, which have a principle of operation different from well-known systems, is still relevant. The aim of this work is to develop an electrical signal frequency meter with automatic selection of the measurement limit, based on a new principle of frequency measurement, which has not been used before. An approach to the construction of frequency meters with automatic selection of the measuring range is proposed. The measurement is performed using a low-frequency single-band frequency meter. Pulses traveling with the frequency of the input signal are pre-formed. Pulses are counted on the meter formed by series-connected decadal meters for a specified time, after which, using a logic circuit, sequentially analyzes the states of the meter outputs, starting from the output corresponding to the maximum distribution coefficient. The analysis is performed to determine the output of the divider, the frequency value of which is greater than the maximum corresponding to the penultimate digit of the single-band low-frequency frequency meter and does not exceed the maximum frequency corresponding to its last digit. After that, the input of the single-band low-frequency frequency meter is connected to the selected meter output and the frequency is changed with the indication of the number and the automatically selected range. An approach to the automatic measurement of the frequency of the input signal, which varies widely, is proposed. The proposed method allows, using simple and affordable means of circuit construction, to make a frequency meter with automatic selection of the measurement limit. In the future, the proposed frequency meter can be used in measuring the frequency of the signal from non-destructive testing, which will expand the range of its technical means used in measuring the frequency of the signal from non-destructive testing.

Pipe bursts in water distribution systems (WDS) must be rapidly detected to minimize the loss of system functionality and recovery time. Pipe burst is the most common failure in WDS. It results in water loss out of the system, increased head losses, and low pressure at the customers' taps. Therefore, effective and efficient detection of pipe bursts can improve system resilience. To this end, this study proposes an optimal meter placement model to identify meter locations that maximize detection effectiveness for a given number of meters and type of meter. The linear programming model is demonstrated on a modified Austin EPANET hydraulic network. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves for alternative pressure and flow meters are applied to investigate the relationship between the level of available information and pipe burst detection effectiveness. The optimal sensor locations were distinctly different depending on the type of meter and the objective to be considered. The ROC curves for alternative pressure and pipe flow meters showed that pipe flow meters are vulnerable to false alarms, and that using many pipe flow meters could detect all pipe bursts. Pressure meters could detect up to 82% of the burst events.

Abstract Context.—Point-of-care testing glucose meters are strongly recommended in the management of diabetes and are increasingly being used for making therapeutically important decisions. Thus, it is essential that their results correlate well with those of laboratory analyzers. Objectives.—To test the reliability of point-of-care testing glucose meters. Design.—Two studies were performed: (1), an in-house study comparing accuracy of point-of-care testing glucose meters with a reference analyzer using fresh whole blood specimens (2), a real-time comparison of (a) 2 successive glucose meter readings and (b) glucose meter reading to central laboratory analyzer reading. Setting.—(1), Seven glucose meters from 4 manufacturers were compared with the Yellow Springs YSI 2300 blood glucose analyzer using whole blood without preservative. (2), (a) Whole blood samples were read within 5 minutes of each other using Accu-Chek meters and (b) between a glucose meter and a Hitachi laboratory analyzer. Results.—(1) Within the Accu-Chek group of glucose meters, fresh, preservative-free whole blood samples showed the lowest bias. (2) At the hypoglycemic level, successive glucose meter readings agreed well, but there was considerable disagreement between glucose meter and central laboratory values. Because laboratory analyzers are of proven accuracy, they are used as the reference. In the glucose meter–central laboratory analyzer correlation, for both hypoglycemic and hyperglycemic values, readings in which the differences were greater than 10% occurred more than 61% of the time. In the hypoglycemic range, differences greater than 20% occurred 57% of the time. Conclusions.—One should scrutinize point-of-care testing glucose meter readings at the hypoglycemic and hyperglycemic levels and whenever possible to corroborate these clinical results with central laboratory analyzers.

First, the following statement is incorrect, “Of the new generation of axially symmetric sea gravity systems, only the Bodenseewerk KSS-30 and the Bell Aerospace BGM-3 systems are presently available.” Actually, LaCoste and Romberg Gravity Meters, Inc., owns U.S. Patent No. 3,717,036 which describes the axially symmetric sea gravity meter being built and sold by LaCoste and Romberg. The actual gravity meter is described in my article “LaCoste and Romberg straight‐line gravity meter” (LaCoste, 1983) Also, field tests of the first of these straight‐line gravity meters are described in Valliant (1983). In addition, a comparative sea test between the straight‐line sea gravity meter and the Bodensee KSS-30 has been made (Macnab et al., 1985). Since late 1985, we have had our straight‐line meters available for immediate sale, and they were available on order as early as 1983. Our straight‐line (axially symmetric) gravity meters are definitely available and proven.

The research presented was conducted to quantify the effects of butterfly and gate valves located upstream water meters with diameters larger than 50 mm. Errors caused by these valves can have an enormous financial impact taking into consideration that a small percentage of variation in the error of a large meter is typically related to a significant volume of water. The uncertainty on the economic impact that a valve installed upstream of a medium size water meter leads to many water utilities to oversize the meter chambers in order to mitigate the potential negative errors. Most manufacturers approve their meters for a specific flow disturbance sensitivity class according to the standard ISO 4064-1:2018. Under this classification, a correct operation of the meters requires a certain length of straight section of pipe upstream the meter. However, this classification of the meters cannot consider all types of flow perturbances. For this study, two types of valves, butterfly and gate, were tested upstream ten brand-new water meters from six different manufacturers constructed in four different metering technologies: single-jet, Woltmann, electromagnetic and ultrasonic. In each meter unit was tested at five flow rates, from minimum to the overload flow rates. The tests were conducted with valves set in different orientations, closing degrees, and upstream distances from the water meters under study. The research shows that the valves used can produce significant deviations in the measuring errors with respect the errors found for undistorted working conditions.

Hematocrit is known to influence glucose values obtained on some blood glucose meters, with bias observed especially at low and high hematocrit levels. We evaluated the performance of a meter with hematocrit correction technology alongside 3 other commercially available meters. Capillary blood samples from 100 subjects were analyzed in duplicate and compared to the plasma values obtained by reference laboratory analyzer. Bias, error grid, and sensitivity to hematocrit analyses were performed for each meter. Average percentage bias was similar for all meters, however the evaluated meter performed best with respect to error grid analysis, with 100% of values falling within the “no effect on clinical action” and “no risk” categories and did not display any hematocrit associated bias.

Glucose meter evaluations are common and provide important information about glucose meter performance versus standards. Although some meters meet guidelines and others fall short in these evaluations, most results are within the A and B zones of a glucose meter error grid. Another data source that is seldom used is the FDA adverse event database (MAUDE). This database describes glucose meter malfunctions and injury as reported by actual users and returned 10 837 adverse events across all meters for the first 7 months of 2018. Reliability growth management is an established tool to reduce failure rates. A reliability growth example is presented followed by a discussion of how this tool could be applied to reduce glucose meter failure events using the MAUDE database.

Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk mengidentifikasi dan memetakan Patahan Manado yang melintasi Kelurahan Rap-Rap Airmadidi Minahasa Utara. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan alat geolistrik Multichannel and Multielectrode Resistivity MAE X612-EM. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada 3 lintasan pengukuran dengan panjang bentangan masing-masing 480 meter. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak RES2DINV. Hasil pengolahan data tersebut memberikan gambaran penampang lintang 2 dimensi citra bawah permukaan pada ketiga lintasan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, teridentifikasi rekahan pada jarak 30 meter dari jalur Patahan Manado, dengan kedalaman dari permukaan tanah 0-50 meter untuk lintasan 1, 0-25 meter untuk lintasan 2, 0-30 meter untuk lintasan 3, dengan harga resistivitas <70 Ωm.The research has been done to identify and to create a map of Manado Fault that passed through the Village of Rap-Rap, Airmadidi, North Minahasa. The research was carried out using a multichannel and multielectrode resistivity MAE X612-EM geoelectrical device.The data collection was carried out on 3 measurement lineswith a range of 480 meters each. The data processing was held using RES2DINV software. Its result gave an overview of the 2-dimensional transection of beneath-surface imaging on those 3 lines. According to the analysis outcome, the fracture is identified at 30 meters from the Manado fault, with a depth of 0-50 meters from the ground's surface (line 1), 0-25 meters (line 2), and 0-30 meters (line 3) with a resistivity value of <70 Ωm.

At present, the remote meter reading problem for a large number of existing domestic diaphragm gas meters has not been reliably solved. The diaphragm gas meter uses a physical structure to measure gas consumption, so the main problem of remote meter reading is the digitization of gas consumption. Although it is possible to digitize the consumption data by modifying the internal structure of the gas meter or adding sensors, thereby realizing the function of remote meter reading, the modification process is complicated, the modification cost is high, and manual meter reading can only be used for the existing diaphragm gas meters. For this reason, this paper proposes an indirect measurement method of gas consumption based on gas pressure signal detection. The method can digitalize the metering results of the mechanical diaphragm gas meter and develop a state detection function by analyzing the pressure signal of the outlet of the meter without modifying the internal structure of a meter, thus addressing the key difficulties in the construction of a gas meter remote meter reading system. The experimental results show that this method has small calculation error and high reliability.

Dissolved oxygen (DO) is critical for aerobic life in aquatic environments. Rapid and accurate measurements of DO are necessary to quantify the rate of oxygen uptake and maintain optimum conditions in root zones. DO meters are available across a price range of USD99 to more than USD1000. We compared three meters for stability, response time, and accuracy in freshwater [tap water, 0 g⋅L–1 sodium chloride (NaCl)] and saline water (simulated seawater, 35 g⋅L–1 NaCl) across multiple temperatures. The Yellow Springs, Inc. 550A (YSI) and Sper Scientific 850048 (Sper) meters were stable across a range of water temperatures (12–38 °C) and salinity. The Smart Sensor Roeam AR8210 drifted ±50% within minutes after calibration and was not evaluated further. In freshwater, the YSI meter was within 4% and the Sper meter was within 5% of the theoretical value at 12 and 22 °C. Meters were less accurate at 38 °C. The accuracy in saline water was similar to freshwater. Across temperature and salinity, the response time averaged 10 s for the YSI meter and 15 s for the Sper meter. We conclude that the YSI and Sper meters can provide rapid, stable, and accurate measurements of DO.

Tanjung Laut is water located in the administrative area of Bontang Regency, East Kalimantan. These waters are widely used for ship traffic to and from the Port. To find out the hydrodynamic conditions, especially waves that occur in the sea and propagate into these waters, it is necessary to analyze wave transformations to describe the conditions and impacts that occur due to wave propagation from the high seas that enter the port waters. The purpose of this study is to look at the shipping security channel. The method used in analyzing wind data from BMKG into wave data and modeling with cgwave mathematical models. Wave analysis is carried out with a cgwave model mathematical to determine the hydrodynamic conditions of the waves and to determine the shipping obstacles and to describe the plan waves that occur as one of the bases in determining the elevation of the pier and port breakwater structures. The results showed the conversion of wind speed and direction to be high, the period and direction of waves in the waters of Tanjung Laut in 2006-2016. The maximum significant wave height in the waters of Tanjung Laut occurred in 2007 was 3.91 meters with a period of 7.89 seconds. The results of statistical analysis using the wave recurrence method show that the wave height can occur or exceed for a 50 year return period is 4.80 meters to 5.54 meters, while the 10 year return period is 3.70 meters to 4.17 meters. The results of the waveform simulation with the cgwave are the wave height in the harbor pool ranging from 0.03 meters to 0.06 meters in the direction of waves from the Northeast, 0.03 meters to 0.07 meters in the direction of waves from the East, and 0.05 meters up to 0.09 meters in the direction of waves from the Southeast. Simulation results show that the conditions in the port pond are quite safe and calm against wave attacksTanjung laut merupakan pelabuhan perairan yang berada di wilayah administrasi Kabupaten Bontang Kalimantan Timur, dimana banyak digunakan untuk lalu lintas kapal yang menuju dan keluar dari Pelabuhan. Untuk mengetahui kondisi hidrodinamika khususnya gelombang yang terjadi di laut dan merambat ke perairan tersebut, perlu adanya analisa transformasi gelombang untuk menggambarkan kondisi dan dampak yang terjadi akibat perambatan gelombang dari laut lepas yang masuk ke kawasan perairan pelabuhan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat keamanan alur pelayaran. Metode yang digunakan yaitu menganalisa data angin dari BMKG menjadi data gelombang dan pemodelan dengan model matematik cgwave. Analisa gelombang dilakukan dengan model matematik model cgwave untuk mengetahui kondisi hidrodinamika gelombang dan untuk mengetahui hambatan pelayaran serta untuk menggambarkan gelombang rencana yang terjadi sebagai salah satu dasar dalam penentuan elevasi dermaga dan bangunan pemecah gelombang pelabuhan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan konversi kecepatan dan arah angin menjadi tinggi, periode dan arah gelombang di perairan Tanjung laut Tahun 2006-2016. Tinggi gelombang signifikan maksimum di perairan Tanjung Laut terjadi pada tahun 2007 adalah 3,91 meter dengan periode 7,89 detik. Hasil analisa statistik menggunakan metode kala ulang kejadian gelombang, menunjukkan tinggi gelombang dapat terjadi atau terlampaui untuk kala ulang 50 tahun adalah 4,80 meter sampai dengan 5,54 meter, sedangkan kala ulang 10 tahun adalah 3,70 meter sampai dengan 4,17 meter. Hasil simulasi trasformasi dgelombang dengan model cgwave adalah tinggi gelombang di kolam pelabuhan berkisar antara 0,03 meter sampai dengan 0,06 meter dengan arah datang gelombang dari Timur Laut, 0,03 meter sampai dengan 0,07 meter dengan arah datang gelombang dari Timur, dan 0,05 meter sampai dengan 0,09 meter dengan arah datang gelombang dari Tenggara. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan kondisi di kolam pelabuhan cukup aman dan tenang terhadap serangan gelombang.

ABSTRAK Tujuan dari Penelitian ini adalah untuk dapat mengetahui hubungan panjang tungkai dan daya ledak otot tungkai terhadap hasil lari 100 meter pada klub atletik Jakarta Utara. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey dengan Teknik studi korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah para anggota klub Atletik Jakarta Utara dengan jumlah atlet 50 atlet. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 30 orang, sampel ditentukan dengan Purposive Sampling. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa: (1). Terdapat hubungan Panjang Tungkai dengan hasil lari 100 meter diperoleh koefisien korelasi ry1 = 0.69, yang berarti variabel panjang tungkai memberikan sumbangan terhadap hasil lari 100 meter sebesar 82.38 %. (2). Terdapat hubungan yang berarti antara daya ledak otot tungkai dengan hasil lari 100 meter, diperoleh koefisien korelasi ry2 = 0,94 yang berarti variabel Daya Ledak Otot Tungkai memberikan sumbangan terhadap hasil lari 100 meter sebesar 88.50 %. (3). Terdapat hubungan berarti antara Panjang Tungkai dan Daya Ledak Otot Tungkai dengan hasil lari 100 meter secara Bersama – sama, dengan koefisien korelasi ganda Ry1-2 = 0,94 hal ini berarti bahwa 88.50% Hasil Lari 100 Meter ditentukan oleh Panjang Tungkai dan Daya Ledak Otot Tungkai secara bersama-sama. Kata Kunci : Panjang Tungkai, Daya Ledak Otot Tungkai, Hasil Lari 100 Meter. ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to find out relationship between leg length and leg muscle explosiveness to the results of running 100 meters at the North Jakarta athletic club. The method used in this study is a survey method with correlational study techniques. The population in this study were the members of the North Jakarta Athletics Club with 50 athletes. The number of samples is 30 people, the sample is determined by purposive sampling. The results of the study concluded that: (1). There is a relationship between the length of the limb with the result of running 100 meters and the correlation coefficient is ry1 = 0.69, which means that the leg length variable contributes to the 100 meter run by 82.38%. (2). There is a significant relationship between the leg muscle explosive power with the result of running 100 meters, the correlation coefficient ry2 = 0.94, which means the variable Explosion of Leg Muscle contributes to the 100 meter running result of 88.50%. (3). There is a significant relationship between Leg Length and Leg Muscle Explosion with the results of running 100 meters together, with a double correlation coefficient Ry1-2 = 0.94 this means that 88.50% 100 Meters Run Results are determined by Leg Length and Muscle Explosion Power. This study aims to determine the composition and condition of coral reefs in Dudepo Cape, South Bolaang Mongondow Regency. The method used is Line Intercept Transect (LIT). Data were collected by SCUBA diving at 3 meters and 10 meters depths. In 3 meters depth was found biotic components such as Acropora and non-Acropora with 6 growth forms, and five other biotic components, while abiotic components were only found in coral rubbles (R). In 10 meter depth was found biotic components live coral with 7 growth forms, and five other biotic components, while the abiotic components as sand and coral rubbles. In two depths, the coral reef component dominant were Acropora digitate (ACD) and Acropora branching (ACB). The condition of coral reefs at 3-meter depth and 10 meters were “Fair” with the percent cover of live corals being 35.59% and 37.30%.Keywords: Coral; Coral Reef; ConditionAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komposisi dan kondisi terumbu karang di Tanjung Dudepo Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Selatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Line Intercept Transect (LIT). Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan penyelaman SCUBA pada kedalaman 3 meter dan 10 meter. Pada kedalaman 3 meter ditemukan komponen biotik berupa karang hidup acropora dan non-acropora dengan 6 bentuk pertumbuhan, dan 5 komponen biotik lainnya, sedangkan komponen abiotik hanya ditemukan berupa pecahan karang. Pada kedalaman 10 meter ditemukan komponen biotik berupa karang hidup dengan 7 bentuk pertumbuhan, dan 5 komponen biotik lainnya, sedangkan komponen abiotik berupa pasir dan pecahan karang. Pada dua kedalaman, bentuk pertumbuhan yang mendominasi yaitu acropora digitate dan acropora branching. Kondisi terumbu karang pada lokasi penelitian khususnya pada kedalaman 3 meter dan 10 meter yaitu berada pada kategori cukup dengan persentase tutupan sebesar 35,59% dan 37,30%. Telah dilakukan penelitian eksplorasi geofisika menggunakan metode Geolistrik Konfigurasi Wenner – Schlumberger untuk mengindentifikasi lapisan tanah yang diduga terkena intrusi air laut di daerah Malalayang Sulawesi Utara. Terdapat 5 lintasan pengukuran dan pada setiap lintasan mempunyai 112 dan 167 buah data. Data setiap lintasan diolah menggunakan perangkat lunak RES2DINV. Dugaan intrusi air laut terjadi di daerah Malalayang I Timur sejauh ≤ 300 meter dari garis pantai dengan kedalaman ≥ 10 meter di bawah permukaan tanah dan di daerah Malalayang II sejauh 310 meter dari garis pantai dengan kedalaman ≥ 20 meter di bawah permukaan tanah.Geophysical exploration has been conducted using Geoelectric method of Wenner – Schlumberger Configuration to identify the soil layers suspected of being exposed to seawater intrusion in Malalayang of North Sulawesi. There are 5 measurement lines and each line has 112 and 167 data. The data of each line is processed using RES2DINV software. Suspected seawater intrusion is located in the East Malalayang I area as far as ≤ 300 meters from the coastline with a depth of ≥ 10 meters under ground surface and in Malalayang II area as far as 310 meters from the coastline with a depth of ≥ 20 meters under ground surface.

Talang Mulya KPPH farmers has been applying agroforestry system for their land cultivation, but the cropping pattern applied has not been adapted to its sloping conditions and plant spacing which result on non-optimal yields produce. Alley Cropping pattern consider as the most suitable approach. Current analysis can be carried out using mapping techniques and remote sensing using digital elevation data imagery. The DEMNAS imagery was used in this study, results showed that the mean altitude reached 396.67 masl and land slope reached 20.92% in average. The design of the cropping pattern using 1 meter height intervals shows the results of the number of planting arrays of 31.96 strips with 3,564.96 meters in length which is higher than the land with a height interval of 2 meters which results in a total of 10.6 strips with and 942.97 meter lengths. However, the field of agricultural cultivation that can be formed on land with 1 meter height intervals only reaches 4.94 meters, while at 2 meters height intervals it can reach 16.03 meters.

In order to meet the efficiency and timeliness measurement requirements for electric energy meters with different specifications in gateway energy meter testing laboratory, a new testing system based on multithreading technique is proposed here. Through identifying the different wiring modes of electric meters, integrating with newly designed CT based on zero-flux compensation principle and applying creative multi-channel load control for different tap positions, the system can provide differentiated testing loads for different meters at the same time. Meanwhile, electric energy pulses required by different electric energy meters can be worked out by one standard meter. Consequently, completely independent measurement for different meters will be achieved with improved timeliness substantially. Through simulation tests for different electric energy meters, and comparison for calculated testing time, the initial design purposes are tested and verified.

Abstrak Berlari merupakan frekuensi langkah yang dipercepat sehingga pada waktu berlari terdapat kecenderungan badan melayang. Pada saat berlari kedua kaki tidak menyentuh sekurang – kurangnya satu kaki tetap menyentuh tanah. Seiring perkembangan teknologi yang semakin pesat dan maju, untuk mengukur suatu percepatan ketika berlari dapat menggunakan teknologi accelerometer. Accelerometer dapat digunakan sebagai alat bantu manusia yang memiliki beberapa kelebihan terutama untuk pengecekan percepatan dan jarak tempuh. Selain itu, accelerometer digunakan untuk mengukur percepatan, mendeteksi getaran, dan bisa juga untuk percepatan gravitasi. Pendeteksian gerakan berdasarkan pada 3 sumbu yaitu kanan-kiri, atas-bawah dan depan-belakang. Pada penelitian ini, besaran akselerasi pada sumbu x, y, dan z dari sensor accelerometer dengan menggunakan parameter jarak meliputi 5 meter, 10 meter , 15 meter dan 20 meter. Dari hasil pengujian yang diperoleh sebanyak 5 responden maka dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa kecocokan data pengujian yang diambil secara manual dengan aplikasi memiliki perbedaan. Dari jarak pengujian 5 meter diperoleh hasil galat presentase error sebanyak 7,96%. Jarak 10 meter diperoleh sebanyak 6,4%. Jarak 15 meter diperoleh 13,68% meter. Selanjutnya, jarak 20 meter yaitu 11 %. Pengujian dilakukan dengan menggunakan aplikasi monitoring pada smartphone yang telah terinstall dan diletakkan pada saku celana responden sehingga akan diperoleh nilai data pada sumbu x,y dan z pada aplikasi yang kemudian di konversikan pada grafik gelombang sinus dan perhitungan manual berupa perhitungan jarak dan galat presentase error. Abstract Running is an accelerated frequency of steps so that when running there is a tendency for the body to float. When running both feet do not touch at least - one foot still touches the ground. Along with the development of technology that is increasingly rapid and advanced, to measure an acceleration when running can use the accelerometer technology. Accelerometer can be used as a human aid which has several advantages, especially for checking acceleration and mileage. In addition, the accelerometer is used to measure acceleration, detect vibrations, and can also be used for accelerating gravity. Motion detection is based on 3 axes namely right-left, top-bottom and front-back. In this study, the amount of acceleration on the x, y, and z axis of the accelerometer sensor using distance parameters includes 5 meters, 10 meters, 15 meters and 20 meters. From the test results obtained as many as 5 respondents, it can be concluded that the suitability of the test data taken manually with the application has a difference. A distance of 10 meters was obtained as much as 6.4%. A distance of 15 meters obtained 13.68% meters. Furthermore, the distance of 20 meters is 11%. The test is done by using a monitoring application on a smartphone that has been installed and placed in the pocket of the respondent's pants so that the data values on the x, y and z axes in the application are then converted to a sine wave graph and manual calculations in the form of distance and error percentage errors.

Air tanah adalah air alami yang berada di bawah permukaan tanah yang terkandung di dalam akuifer dan merupakan sumber air bersih. Salah satu syarat hidrogeologi pembangunan TPA sampah adalah tidak terdapat air tanah pada kedalaman yang kurang dari 3 m dari permukaan tanah. Keberadaan akuifer dapat diketahui melalui eksplorasi bawah permukaan dengan metode geolistrik. Identifikasi akuifer telah dilakukan di lahan pembangunan Tempat Pembuangan Akhir (TPA) sampah di desa Ilo-Ilo Kecamatan Wori Minahasa Utara menggunakan resistivity meter dengan konfigurasi dipol-dipol dan spasi elektroda 10 m dalam 4 lintasan pengukuran. Akuifer diidentifikasi dengan nilai resistivitas ρ < 60 Ωm, berada di lintasan 1 pada meter ke 215 sampai meter ke 265 dengan kedalaman 30 m sampai 72 m dari permukaan tanah. Pada lintasan 2 akuifer teridentifikasi pada meter ke 230 sampai meter ke 265 pada kedalaman yang lebih dari 30 m. Akuifer juga teridentifikasi di lintasan 3 pada meter ke 80 menerus sampai meter ke 465 dari permukaan sampai kedalaman lebih dari 90 m namun dengan pola penyebaran yang tidak merata. Pada lintasan 4 akuifer teridentifikasi pada meter ke 215 sampai 250 pada kedalaman lebih dari 26 mGround water is that natural water below the soil surface contained in aquifers and a source of clean water. One of the hydrogeological requirements for the construction of landfill waste is the absence of ground water at a depth of less than 3 m from the surface. The existence of aquifers can be known through subsurface exploration by geoelectric method. Aquifer identification has been carried out at the landfill construction site in the village of Ilo-Ilo, Wori, Minahasa Utara District using a resistivity meter with a dipole-dipole configuration with space of electrodes is 10 m in the 4 measurement trajectories. Aquifers is identified with resistivity values ρ <60 Ωm provides in the line 1 at meters of 215 to meters of 265 with a depth of 30 m to 72 m from the ground surface. In the line 2 aquifer is identified at meters of 230 to meters 265 at depth more than 30 m. Aquifers were also identified at line 3 on the meter of 80 continuously up to meter of 465, from the surface to a depth more than 90 m but with unadequate distribution patterns. In the line 4, aquifer is identified at the meter of 215 to meter of 250 in the depths of more than 26 m

Abstract. High planter performance requires achieving near-perfect seed meter performance in the field during planting. In-field meter performance can be impacted by several factors including meter setup, ground speed, seeding rate, planter vibration, and field conditions. A study was conducted to evaluate the field performance of two different seed meters (John Deere Standard and Precision Planting eSet) at varying seeding rates and ground speeds during planting. Study treatments consisted of planting corn at seeding rates of 49,000, 59,000, 69,000, 79,000, and 89,000 seeds ha-1 at four different ground speeds of 6.1, 7.1, 8.2, and 9.5 km h-1. These ground speeds and seeding rates were implemented in a strip-split plot design in the field with seeding rates blocked within the individual ground speed replications. Field tests were performed by uploading a variable-rate seeding prescription map into the planter rate controller and then travelling at the desired ground speed for each planter pass. Field data collection consisted of measuring plant population and plant spacing in the plots separately for each seed meter. Meter performance was evaluated by computing percent skips, multiples, singulation, coefficient of variation (CV), and crop emergence from the field data. Statistical analysis on field data suggested that the percent skips, singulation, CV, and crop emergence were significantly (p&lt;0.05) affected by the seeding rate, and the ground speed did not have any significant (p&gt;0.05) effect on these variables. The percent multiples and CV values also differed significantly (p&lt;0.05) between the John Deere Standard and Precision Planting eSet meter at different ground speed and seeding rate treatments. The percent skips (0.5-3.8%) observed in the field data were, on average, higher than the percent multiples (0.0-1.8%) for both seed meters. The percent skips in general decreased with an increase in the seeding rate whereas no particular trend was observed in the percent multiples. The singulation values varied between 96.0% and 99.4%, and they were not statistically different between the seed meters. The percent CV values increased with an increase in the seeding rate indicating higher variability in plant spacing with increases in the seeding rate. The mean percent emergence for both seed meters ranged from 92.8% to 99.3%, and it was influenced by the seeding rate for the JD Standard meter. A weak association (R2 values between 0.2028 and 0.6587) between the meter performance parameters (percent skips, singulation, and CV) and the meter speed was determined for both seed meters. Results from the study suggested that meter performance was significantly affected by the seeding rate, and the type of seed meter had a significant impact on percent multiples and CV (plant spacing) values attained during planting. The aim of this retrospective study is to evaluate the reliability and robustness of six glucose meters for point-of-care testing in our wards using a brand-new protocol. During a 30-days study period a total of 50 diabetes patients were subjected to venous blood sampling and glucose meter blood analysis. The results of six glucose meters were compared with our laboratory reference assay. GlucoMen Plus (Menarini) with the 82% of acceptable results was the most robust glucose meter. Even if the Passing-Bablok analysis demonstrates the presence of constant systematic errors and the Bland-Altman test highlighted a possible overestimation, the surveillance error grid analysis showed that this glucose meter can be used safely. We proved that portable glucose meters are not always reliable in routinely clinical settings.

The most important things of Building Energy Management are the monitoring of indoor environment in a building by various sensors and the measurement of energy consumption in a building by various meters. We need to arrange sensors and meters automatically, and develop an automatic sensor and meter arrangement system being usable in any kinds of wired or wireless network. In this paper, we propose an automatic sensor and meter arrangement system for building energy management and explain each component operation of an automatic sensor and meter arrangement system for building energy management, a sensor arrangement simulator and a meter arrangement simulator.

A modelling tool has been developed, which has enabled significant new findings in relation to rapid dynamic response measurements of time-dependent flows using Coriolis meters. The tool comprises a finite element modelling capability that simulates the meter flow tube in motion and allows the generation of pseudo-data at points on the tube corresponding to sensor locations. Combined with this, a suite of signal processing algorithms then enables the representation of an indicated flow time history output by a Coriolis meter in response to a prescribed input flow. The aims were then to investigate meter response to flow steps, ramps, and pulsations. Methods of increasing speed of response are of particular importance, for example, in fast batch-filling applications. Flow steps introduce one or more inevitable noise components in the meter sensor signals, and modelling results suggest that for a given meter geometry, the corresponding noise amplitude in the meter-indicated flow is a constant fraction of the step height. The virtual Coriolis meter has also demonstrated the potential for a substantial contribution to meter design by enabling the development of new meters with specifications matched to selected requirements to meet a wide range of applications.

The ability to monitor plant nutrient status of high value horticultural crops and to adjust seasonal nutrient supply via fertilizer application has economic and environmental benefits. Recent technological advances may enable growers and field consultants to conduct this type of monitoring nondestructively in the future. Using the perennial crop apple (Malus domestica) and the annual crop potato (Solanum tuberosum), a hand-held leaf reflectance meter was used to evaluate leaf nitrogen (N) status throughout the growing season. In potato, this meter showed good correlation with leaf blade N content. Both time of day and time of season influenced leaf meter measurement, but leaf position did not. In apple, three different leaf meters were compared: the leaf spectral reflectance meter and two leaf greenness meters. Correlation with both N rate and leaf N content were strongest for the leaf reflectance meter early in the season but nonsignificant late in the season, whereas the leaf greenness meters gave weak but significant correlations throughout the growing season. The tapering off of leaf reflectance values found with the hand-held meter is consistent with normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) values calculated from satellite images from the same plots. Overall, the use of leaf spectral reflectance shows promise as a tool for nondestructive monitoring of plant leaf status and would enable multiple georeferenced measurements throughout a field for differential N management.

In this paper, an introduction and comprehensive analysis have been presented for the implementation and application of modern smart meters which include Unbundled Smart Meters (USM) and Next-Generation Open Real-Time Smart Meters (NORM). This article also contributes to methods through which USM and NORM could provide a better perspective to the already available technologies for grid-tied-inverter controlled feeding renewables to the grid. The research proposes a next-generation smart meter model with the feature of a phasor measurement unit. The meter is further integrated with a controller board that controls the power injection from the inverter to the grid based on the real-time data obtained from the smart meter. The inverter is simulated with an open-circuit fault and is controlled to provide non-oscillatory power to the grid based on an instantaneous grid power factor or phase requirement. The proposed meter has the flexibility to add additional features to control the inverter based on other grid requirements such as active and reactive power control, tariff implementation, etc. This manuscript provides the analytical aspects of the use of smart meters in efficient energy management and also addresses the need for smart technologies for grid modernization.

The article describes the method of conducting representative research to determine the effect of pure gaseous hydrogen and a mixture of hydrogen and natural gas (methane) on the performance and metrological characteristics of household gas meters. The experimental research has been carried out in two stages. 84 membrane and rotary meters have been selected for research. The main aspect of the need for such research is the safety of meters. Before the start of the tests and after each stage, the metrological characteristics of all gas meters on the reference prover are determined. At the first stage, a set of static tests is performed, according to which the internal and external short-term and long-term (42 days) tightness of gas meters are checked. A prototype of the installation layout has been developed to conduct experiments on determining the tightness. The second stage is to conduct a dynamic series of tests. Gas meters are assembled according to the developed scheme and installed for testing on the model of the gas distribution network system. It is recommended to use a drum-type meter as a reference gas meter. The criterion for determining the effect of hydrogen and gas meter is the established change in metrological characteristics after the study.

The high incidence of electricity theft, meter tampering, meter bypassing, reading errors, and defective and aged meters, among others, increases utility losses, especially non-technical losses (NTL). A utility in Ghana piloted a non-technical loss reduction program in 2019 to replace postpaid meters with anti-tamper, anti-fraud, and anti-theft smart prepaid meters. By using customer-level residential billing panel data from 2018 to 2019 obtained from the utility, we assess the effectiveness of this program using the difference-in-differences fixed-effect approach. On average, the results indicated that the reported amount of customers’ monthly electricity consumption increases by 13.2% when any tampered postpaid meter is replaced with a smart prepaid meter, indicating the NTLs by customers. We further employed quantile difference-in-differences regression and observed that reported energy consumption has increased for all households except those at the lower quantile (25th quantile). We conclude that smart prepaid metering could be a remedy to reduce NTLs for the electricity distribution sector in areas where electricity theft is rampant.

The smart meter is an essential part of an intelligent grid system. Defects in the LCD screen the smart meters affect their use. Therefore, detection of LCD screen defects of smart meters is of great significance for management and use of smart electricity meters. At present, detection methods are mainly realized by manual detection and automatic detection based on machine vision. However, performance of these two methods is not satisfactory. The fault detection task of a smart meter LCD screen can be divided into two parts: smart meter LCD localization and LCD fault detection. Therefore, this paper proposes a twostage system based on deep learning, which combines YOLOv5 with ResNet34. YOLOv5 is used for smart meter LCD localization and the classification network based on ResNet34 for LCD fault detection. We have constructed an LCD screen localization dataset and an LCD screen defect detection dataset to train and test our model. As a result, our model achieves a defect detection accuracy of 98.9% on the dataset proposed in this paper and can accurately detect the common defects of an LCD screen.

Abstract: This study aims to determine the relationship between leg muscle power and leg length to the 100 meter running speed of the extracurricular members of SMAN 1 Teluk Batang. The method used is correlational with quantitative descriptive research. The data source of this research is students who take extracurricular activities with running speed of 100 meters and the data is to do a series of tests and measurements then the assessment is taken from the best score. The results showed that there was a relationship between leg muscle power and the results of running speed 100 meters r count r table (-0.7 0.514), there was a relationship between leg length and the result of running speed 100 r count r table (-0.82 0.514), there was a power relationship. leg muscles and leg length to running speed 100 meters rcount rtable (4.2 0.15). So, leg muscle power and leg length to 100 meter running speed have a significant relationship to the results of 100 meters running speed.Keywords: Power of leg muscles, leg length, running speed of 100 meters.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kekuatan otot tungkai dan panjang tungkai terhadap kecepatan lari 100 meter pada peserta ekstrakurikuler SMAN 1 Teluk Batang. Metode yang digunakan adalah korelasional dengan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dengan kecepatan lari 100 meter dan datanya dilakukan serangkaian tes dan pengukuran kemudian diambil penilaiannya dari skor terbaik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara kekuatan otot tungkai dengan hasil kecepatan lari 100 meter r hitung r tabel (-0,7 0,514), ada hubungan antara panjang tungkai dengan hasil kecepatan lari 100 r hitung r tabel (-0,82 0,514), ada hubungan kekuasaan. Otot tungkai dan panjang tungkai untuk kecepatan lari 100 meter rhitung rtabel (4.2 0.15). Jadi, kekuatan otot tungkai dan panjang tungkai terhadap kecepatan lari 100 meter memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan hasil kecepatan lari 100 meter.Kata kunci: Kekuatan otot tungkai, panjang tungkai, kecepatan lari 100 meter.

The radioactivity of rocks from Dangote Cement excavation site in Gboko, Benue State were monitored and measured using the radiation meter inspector 06250 and dose meter 6150AD 2/4/6. The meters measure the dose rate, exposure rate and the activity. The meters were held 1 meter above the surface of the soil at the excavation site. Each reading was taken 10 times at varying distances between zero and 100 meters from the excavation site after which the mean readings for each of the distance were then found. Finally, the background count was taken 200 meters away from the excavation point. The highest value of dose equivalent rate of 0.428±0.006 mSv/yr, exposure rate of 0.206±0.003 mR/hr and activity of 6.8±0.4kBq were measured at zero distance from the excavation point while the least value of dose equivalent rate of 0.212±0.002 mSv/yr, exposure rate of 0.081±0.001 mR/hr and activity of 3.2±0.8kBq were obtained at 100 meters away from the excavation point. The result shows that the excavation site is within the safety limit set by the international commission on Radiological protection (ICRP) (1990).

Use of blood glucose (BG) meters in the self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG) significantly lowers the risk of diabetic complications. With several BG meters now commercially available, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) ensures that each BG meter conforms to a set degree of accuracy. Although adherence to ISO guidelines is a prerequisite for commercialization in Europe, several BG meters claim to meet the ISO guidelines yet fail to do so on internal validation. We conducted a study to determine whether the accuracy of the GlucoRx Nexus TD-4280 meter, utilized by our department for its cost-effectiveness, complied with ISO guidelines. 105 patients requiring laboratory blood glucose analysis were randomly selected and reference measurements were determined by the UniCel DxC 800 clinical system. Overall the BG meter failed to adhere to the ≥95% accuracy criterion required by both the 15197:2003 (overall accuracy 92.4%) and 15197:2013 protocol (overall accuracy 86.7%). Inaccurate meters have an inherent risk of over- and/or underestimating the true BG concentration, thereby risking patients to incorrect therapeutic interventions. Our study demonstrates the importance of internally validating the accuracy of BG meters to ensure that its accuracy is accepted by standardized guidelines.

Hubungan Daya Tahan Otot Lengan (X1) Dan Koordinasi Mata Tangan (X2) Dengan Hasil Menembak Air Rifle 10 Meter (YSampel penelitian berjumlah 35 orang dengan teknik pengambilan data total sampling. Instrumen tes daya tahan otot lengan menggunakan Dumbble Front Raise Test. Untuk tes koordinasi mata tangan menggunakan Speed Anticipation Reaction. Dan untuk tes hasil menembak air rifle 10 meter melakukan penembakan dengan sasaran berjarak 10 meter, teknik analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah teknik korelasi sederhana dan korelasi ganda dan dilanjutkan dengan uji t pada taraf signifikansi = 0,05. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara daya tahan otot lengan (X1) dengan hasil menembak air rifle 10 meter (Y) yang ditunjukkan dengan koefisien korelasi rX1Y = 0,875 dan koefisien determinasi = 0,766 yang berarti jumlah kontribusinya adalah 76%. (2) terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara koordinasi mata, tangan (X2) dengan hasil menembak air rifle 10 meter (Y) yang ditunjukkan dengan koefisien korelasi rX2Y = 0,537 dan koefisien determinasi = 0,7259 yang berarti jumlah kontribusinya adalah 72,59%. (3) terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara daya tahan otot lengan (X1) dan koordinasi mata, tangan (X2) dengan hasil menembak air rifle 10 meter (Y) dengan koefisien korelasi rX1X2Y = 0,893 dan koefisien determinasi = 0,797 yang berarti jumlah sumbangannya adalah sebesar 79,7%. The tests instrument of an arm muscles endurance is using Dumbble Front Raise Test, for the eyes and hand coordinations test is using Speed Anticipation Reaction. And for the result of an Air Rifle 10 meters shoot test was doing a shoots with a 10 meters target, the statistical analysis techniques was using a simple correlation techniques and double correlations following by a t test on significance level = 0,05. The result of the data analysis shows that 1) There is a meaningful correlation between an arm muscles endurance (X1) with the result of an Air Rifle 10 Meters shoot (Y) that indicated by a coefficient of correlation rx1y = 0,875 and coefficient of determination = 0,766 which means the total of the contribution is 76%. (2) There is a meaningful correlations between an eyes and hand coordination (X2) with the result of an Air Rifle 10 meters shoot (Y) that indicated by a coefficient of correlation rx2y = 0,537 and coefficient of determination = 0,7259 which means the total of the contributions is 72,59%. (3) There is a meaningful correlation between an arm muscles endurance (X1) and eyes also hand coordination (X2) with the result of an Air Rifle 10 meters shoot (Y) with a coefficient of correlation rx1x2y = 0,893 and coefficient of determination = 0,797 which means the total of the contributions is 79,7%.
