Šio straipsnio tikslas – nustatyti moralės modelius, analizuojant konceptualiąją metaforą politiniame diskurse anglų ir lietuvių kalbose. Remtasi analitiniais straipsniais politikos temomis. Jie pasitelkti iš Interneto tinklalapių www.politika.lt ir www.economist.com elektroninio archyvo. Straipsniai anali­zuojami remiantis kognityvinės lingvistikos principais bei kokybiniu analizės metodu (Fauconnier & Turner 2002; Kövecses 2005; Lakoff & Johnson 1997, Lakoff 2005; Turner 1994), kurie leidžia atskleisti kalbiniuose pasakymuose (linguistic expressions) glūdinčias konceptualiąsias metaforas. Kalbiniai pasakymai buvo skirstomi pagal tris moralinio vertinimo modelius: (1) Huxley, kuris apibrėžia moralę kaip žmonių sąmoningai sukurtą vertinimo skalę, reikalingą kovoje su žmogaus įgimtomis blogybėmis, (2) Kanto požiūris į moralę, kaip į racionalų veiksmą glaudžiai siejamą su pareigomis, bei galiausiai (3) integruotas požiūris, kai moralus elgesys suvokiamas kaip sentimentų ir emocinių reakcijų pasekmė (Black 1995; Boehm 2000; Flack & de Waal 2002). Išanalizavus konceptualiųjų metaforų kalbinę raišką paaiškėjo, kad straipsniuose vyrauja metaforos POLITIKA KAIP JĖGA ir POLITIKA KAIP TARPUSAVIO SANTYKIAI.

Espressione della forza di programmi di ricerca ormai istituzionalizzati da una presenza accademica pluridecennale, la stessa triade ha delimitato anche la frontiera dell'identità disciplinare, i limiti all'interno del quale la riflessione sistematica sui problemi della politica internazionale poteva veder riconosciuto il proprio diritto di cittadinanza nell'ambito della teoria delle R.I.

Celem artykułu jest ukazanie opiniotwórczego potencjału metafory konceptualnej stosowanej w perswazji społeczno-politycznej, interpretowanej zarówno jako mechanizm poznawczy, jak i wysoce zideologizowane narzędzie dyskursywne. W części teoretycznej analizowane sązagadnienia interdyskursywności i intertekstualności w Krytycznej Analizie Dyskursu. Częśćempiryczna zawiera przeprowadzone na podstwie modelu Krytycznej Analizy Metafory jakościowe studium struktury i efektów perswazyjnych metafory tęczowej zarazy, publicznie użytej przez arcybiskupa Marka Jędraszewskiego w odniesieniu do środowiska LGBT w Polsce, będącej przykładem świadomego przekraczania granic gatunkowych w komunikacji społeczno-politycznej i religijnej. W odniesieniu do oryginalnego tekstu, z którego czerpie określenie wykorzystane przez arcybiskupa krakowskiego w jego kontrowersyjnym kazaniu, a mianowicie bardziej zakorzenionej historycznie metafory czerwonej zarazy, spopularyzowanej przez polskiego poetęJózefa Szczepańskiego w wierszu skomponowanym w czasie powstania warszawskiego w 1944 roku, analizowane sąinterdyskursywne i intertekstowe korelacje między dwiema metaforami ZARAZY (KOMUNIZM TO ZARAZA i LGBT TO ZARAZA). ABSTRACT The paper aims at demonstrating the creative perlocutionary potential of interdiscursive production and interpretation of conceptual metaphor used in socio-political persuasion, simultaneously interpreted as mental phenomenon and discursive practice that is historically entrenched and highly ideological. The Critical Metaphor Analysis model is used to investigate the interdiscursive application of two PLAGUE metaphors (COMMUNISM IS A PLAGUE and LGBT IS A PLAGUE) as an example of deliberate transcending of genre boundaries in the increasingly intertextual and interdiscursive world of both socio-political and religious discourses. The empirical part provides a qualitative study of the historical background, structure and persuasive effects of the rainbow plague metaphor (Pol. tęczowa zaraza), publicly used by the Archbishop of Cracow, Marek Jędraszewski, in reference to the LGBT community in Poland, conducted in relation to the original text on which it draws, namely the more historically entrenched red plague (Pol. czerwona zaraza) metaphor made popular by the Polish poet Józef Szczepański in his poem composed during the Warsaw Uprising 1944.

Le dinamiche della segregazione residenziale in Italia sono un tema emergente di discussione della coesistenza interetnica. Questo articolo presenta il contributo di Schelling su tale argomento. Nel XX secolo, diversi autori hanno elaborato un certo numero di indici di segregazione. Schelling ha proposto di studiare la segregazione residenziale utilizzando un modello lineare e un modello a scacchiera. La metafora della linea consente di avere una sequenza illimitata di simboli, mentre la metafora della scacchiera introduce restrizioni ai vicinati, con i suoi confini e i suoi angoli. La persistente vitalitŕ del pensiero di Schelling per lo studio della segregazione sociale nelle cittŕ dipende soprattutto dalle scoperte sulle relazioni inattese tra le scelte residenziali degli individui e la segregazione complessiva dei vicinati. Pertanto, una cittŕ integrata puň condurre alla segregazione anche qualora nessun attore individuale desiderasse la segregazione risultante. Tutto ciň solleva seri dubbi sulla reale possibilitŕ delle politiche pubbliche di perseguire l'integrazione residenziale promuovendo l'apertura e la tolleranza della diversitŕ.

<p align="center"><strong>Abstrak</strong></p><p> Film Iklan Mandiri Securitas merupakan film iklan mengunakan strategi retorika komunikasi visual empu keris sebagai pendekatan kreatifnya. Tema sebagai ide dasar penciptaaan film iklan Mandiri Securitas berusaha memahamkan tentang usaha kerja keras untuk menghasilkan detil dari kerja empu untuk menghasilkan bilah keris, dikreasikan dengan retorika metaforis untuk merepresentasikan citra Mandiri Securitas dalam melayani konsumennya mampu bekerja dengan baik atau tidak dengan melihat masing-masing peran dari domain retorika perkerisan dan retorika perbankan dikeduanya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui secara kritis retorika metaforis dua domain itu dengan melihat masing-masing peran dari elemen-elemen pembentuk film iklan Mandiri Securitas. Metode penelitian ini mengggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dekontruksi dengan teknik “apropriasi minus one” melalui pembongkaran domain perbankan dan domain perkerisan untuk melihat posisi retorika metaforis filmis iklan Mandiri Securitas . Film iklan memuat elemen-elemen penyusunnya seperti visual, audio, efek “animated<em>”</em> serta “<em>voice over”</em> yang mendukung terbentuknya metafora iklan. Melalui apropriasi “<em>minus one</em>” dapat ditemukan posisi retorika visual domain “perkerisan” mampu membawakan pesan dari produk yang diinginkan oleh Mandiri Securitas , tetapi jika “<em>animated text</em>” dan “<em>voice over”</em> dihilangkan, maka tidak nampak hubungan retoris di keduanya. </p><p> </p><p>Kata Kunci: retorika, metafora, film iklan, perbankan, perkerisan</p><p> </p><pre><strong>Abstract</strong></pre><pre><strong> </strong></pre><p><br /> <em>Mandiri Securitas Advertising Film is an advertising film using the rhetoric strategy of visual communication of the kris masters as a creative approach. The theme as a basic idea for the creation of the Mandiri Securitas advertisement film seeks to understand the effort of working hard to produce details from the master's work to produce a keris blade, created with metaphorical rhetoric to represent the image of Mandiri Securitas in serving its customers whether they can work well or not by looking at each the role of the political rhetoric domain and banking rhetoric in both.</em><em> </em><em>The purpose of this study was to critically identify the two domain metaphorical rhetoric by looking at each role of the constituent elements of the Mandiri Securitas advertising film. This research method uses descriptive qualitative deconstruction by </em>"appropriation minus one"<em> technique through the dismantling of the banking domain and the domain of perkerisan to see the position of the filmmatic metaphorical rhetoric of the Mandiri Securitas advertisement. Advertising films contain constituent elements such as visual, audio, animated effects and voice over that support the formation of advertising metaphors. Through appropriation </em>"minus one"<em> can be found the position of visual rhetoric of the keris domain is able to deliver messages from products desired by Mandiri Securitas , but if "</em>animated text<em>" and "</em>voice over"<em> are removed, there is no rhetorical relationship in both.</em></p><p> </p><pre><em>Keyword: rhetoric, metaphora, advertising film, banking,</em> kris</pre>

The book of Hosea is one among a few books in the First Testament that gives rise to the diversity of interpretations. The text contains some language problems which prevent clear meaning. Its use of pornographic imagery as metaphor for the wrong doers has also provoked disagreements among the interpreters. Scholars throughout the ages have tried to look for the best way to receive the disturbing metaphor. By relating the Book with some historical circumstances, the metaphor is understood as representation of an historical reality, namely, the unfit leadership of the Israelite and Judahite communities. According to this interpretation, the use of sexual imagery should not bother the readers as it merely serves to convey the harsh criticism towards the community leaders who brought the society into chaos. However, feminist interpreters do not agree with such kind of interpretation. In their view, unravelling the ideology that allows such the use of metaphor that denigrate woman is the main task of interpretation. Their criticism has opened our eyes of how ideology plays siginificant roles in the production of the Book. The story of Hosea and Gomer should not be taken for granted as it results from a certain way of thinking. The view of the writer of the Book, for the feminitsts, is strongly misogynistic that it deserves severe criticism. While criticizing the gender imbalance view of the Book, the feminists seem to forget the main purpose of the metaphor. This writing wants to show that the metaphor is actually intended to alarm the worst socio-political situation. The blame of the socio-political turbulences is put on the shoulder of those whose view differs from that of the writer's. While blaming the opponents, the Book urges the acceptance of a dreamed society of the ideal.

At present, it seems relevant to study the specifics of translating metaphorical ethnonyms into the native language. Ethnonyms reflect the history of a nation, the originality of its culture and way of life, describe a person and his sphere of activity. The ethnonyms in English, which have now been formed into phraseological units, have a full historical confirmation, which indicates the absence of fiction by the English. It is the historical events that took place that influenced interstate and interethnic stereotypes, which in turn are a national picture of the world. Almost all nations contacted by British and Anglo-Saxon Americans since the 17th century, as well as nations that were at certain times the most dangerous economic rivals, received ethnic nicknames. Despite the fact that English ethnonyms do not reflect the principles of political correctness and tolerance, which were spoken about by the English, they are a consequence of the cultural picture of the world, therefore they must exist in the language.

Language in news writing is very important because it brings a lot of meaning and understanding when reading to every member of society. The use of correct and meaningful language and having a certain interpretation can shape the thinking of society. Language combinations in news writing have an impact on the development of socio-cultural, informational sources, education, entertainment, key points in the arena of political communication, democratic participation, ideological value communication, norms, nature, and beliefs on an issue. Therefore, this study uses the Critical Discourse Analysis approach (CDA) which emphasizes Critical Metaphor Analysis (CMA) elements to examine the use of language and phrases formed by journalists in writing news on government policy, especially the Government Transformation Program (GTP). The data used in this study were taken from three online newspapers namely Malaysiakini newspaper, Berita Harian, and Utusan Malaysia. The use of metaphorical concepts and metaphors is fully utilized to refine terms in the words, phrases, and sentences written by journalists of these three media organizations. The findings show that journalists are aware and unconscious of writing metaphorical writing and setting the concept metaphor by framing the news they have written. The conceptualized metaphor is clearly displayed in every news writing because they have an agenda set by their respective media organizations to promote or provide understanding on government policies especially in relation to the GTP and the National Key Result Area (NKRA). Their behavior and processes produce stories that have implicit meaning by using metaphors to produce strategic news. The resulting metaphors are different but coherent to confirm the GTP and NKRA as the carriers of positive economic change to the country. Implicitly pointing out that GTP and NKRA need to be implemented if Malaysia wants to become a developed nation. It gives implied meaning because it is not said directly but indirectly through the metaphor.

Kartun merupakan salah satu bentuk dialektika tanda dalam kategori bahasa verbal dan nonverbal, yang membuat dirinya unik adalah karena karakternya yang menyimpang, lucu, bersifat satir atau menyindir, baik terhadap orang atau tindakannya. Sebagai salah satu bahasa politik, kartun telah menjadi instrumen pokok untuk menceritakan realitas, segala tindakan dalam kartun merupakan studi tentang tanda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui metafora yang digunakan dalam kartun bertema korupsi. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah metodologi kualitatif, dengan pendekatan deskriptif, yaitu dimana data yang dikumpulkan adalah karya visual kartun G.M. Sudharta yang dibuat tahun 2012 untuk koran Kompas, dan yang dipublikasikan pada media sosial Facebook-nya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapatnya metafora yang sangat dominan dan beragam dalam kartun bertema korupsi yang menandakan terdapatnya proses yang kritis dalam memandang budaya komunikasi. Setiap kartunis menciptakan tokoh kartun fiktif sebagai identitas yang mewakili dirinya untuk menyampaikan opini, kritik, dan olok-olok terhadap sesuatu yang sedang berlaku dalam realitas sehari-hari. Selain itu, setiap kartunis memiliki keunikan dalam menyampaikan pesan, hal tersebut merupakan gaya yang dipengaruhi oleh latar belakangnya masing-masing. Cartoon is a form of dialectic sign in the category of verbal and nonverbal language, which makes it unique is that deviant character, humorous, satirical or sarcatic, either against the person or his actions. As one of the political languages, cartoons have become a staple instrument to communicate the reality, every action in cartoon are the study of signs. This study aims to determine the metaphor used in cartoons with the theme of corruption. The research methodology used is qualitative methodology, with descriptive approach, that is where the data collected is a visual work of cartoon G.M. Sudarta made in 2012 for Kompas newspaper, and published on social media Facebook. The results of this study indicate that there is a very dominant and varied metaphor in a corruption-themed cartoon that signifies the existence of a critical process in viewing the culture of communication. Each cartoonist creates a fictitious cartoon character as an identity representing him/herself to convey opinions, criticisms, and banter towards something that is prevailing in the everyday reality. In addition, each cartoonist is unique in conveying the message, it is a style influenced by their background.

Penciptaan karya ini adalah untuk melihat realitas hari ini dengan menggunakan idiom tubuh. Tubuh pada bagian tangan dipilih sebagai daya ungkap dan inspirasi. Karya memvisualisasikan tangan sebagai metafora dalam realitas kehidupan saat ini. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penciptaan seni berbasis praktik (Practice Based Research). Proses ini dibagi dua yaitu: 1) Practice dan 2) Study Literatur. Pemilihan metode ini sangat sesuai dengan yang penulis visualkan karena di dalamnya terdapat in and through atau pengalaman mengalami. Proses penciptaan mengombinasikan karya lukis dan karya seni rupa lainnya. Karya yang dibuat mewakili tema yaitu tentang fenomena realitas hari ini, mulai dari masalah sosial hingga politik, dan fenomena mutakhir. Semua bentuk visual karya menggunakan idiom tangan sebagai metafora. Tangan menjadi makna kritik dan pesan moral atas realitas hari ini. Hands as a Metaphor of the Reality of Life in Fine Art ABSTRACT This work of art aims to examine contemporary reality using the body idiom. The hand part of the body is selected as the power of expression and inspiration. The painting visualizes hands as metaphors in today’s reality. Practiced-based research is used as the primary method in which practice and literature study are the methods used in the process of creation. The chosen method is under the author’s visualization since it contains “in and through” of the author’s immersion in the experience. The production process combines paintings and other works of art. The created art represents the theme of reality in present phenomena ranging from social and political issues to the latest phenomena. All visual forms of creation utilize hand idioms as metaphors because hands manifest the meaning of criticism and moral messages toward modern reality.

Poster is a two-dimensional visual media with large format that is useful for conveying commercial, social, cultural, political messages. Large format is used to display messages through images. The development of posters began in the late 17th century until now. European countries have an excellent poster tradition. Germany is one of them, the growth of posters in the country became part of the life of its modern society. Many moral and social messages that inspire reason are delivered routinely. Plaque-Sozial e.V. und vom Bund Mitteldeutscher Grafdesigner or social poster association and graphic designer Germany regularly holds competitions and exhibitions on an international scale. In the middle of 2016, a competition and exhibition was held for the third time with the theme "Vision". Participants consisted of artists and poster designers from all over the world. Poster works by the author were also selected by the jury and exhibited at The Association of German Museums for Galvanotechnik e. V. Leipzig, Germany takes place from August 13-25, 2016. The article is devoted to the study of the phenomenon of metaphorization as one of the main means of objectification of new concepts, the creation of new nominations and the expression of evaluation by means of signs that are at the disposal of the German language system. The metaphor belongs, as well as derivation, to the most common ways of enrichment of the vocabulary, serving for the creation of both primary and secondary names in different spheres of language functioning. The author proved that a considerable amount of metaphors are created in the branches, that fall into the center of special public attention and become a topic for broad discussions in society, such as ecology, politics, economics, etc. The article expresses that these topics are most fully implemented in socio-political discourse, which integrates different types of discourses, forms its own system of means for semantic-pragmatic content, which serves to communicate between authorities and society. Scientific research analyzes the essence of the process of metaphorical nomination, studies the typology of metaphorized units, identifies the semantic features of metaphors used in German-language socio-political media discourse, outlines the functional purpose of metaphorized units in modern German texts. The attention in the article is also focused on the fact that the metaphorization process at the present stage of language development is largely stimulated by the influence of extralinguistic factors, such as processes of globalization, migration, exacerbation of environmental issues, the development of science and the influence of technologies on human life. On the other hand, this process is also determined by such intralingual factors as the desire for greater expressiveness of linguistic statements, linguistic economy.

Metaphors and instruments of planetary colonization: From the first globe to Earth System ScienceThe purpose of the text is to look at one of the missions inscribed in the frame of modernity, that is, the design of the Earth as a whole, and thus perceiving it in terms of the globe and the planet. The essay describes three projects of the Earth treated as a globe, an Earth Spaceship, and an integrated Earth System Science creating a cyborg’s vision of the planet. Although they differ from each other in their historical, political and scientific background, these examples form a connected network of the Earth project in which the colonialism and imperialism of the first explorers are continued in the globalist-capitalist concepts of defining the planet as a sphere open to possible modifications implemented since the second half of the 20th century and transformations significantly affecting the functioning of the entire ecosystem.

In der Arbeit werden Metaphern und ihre Bedeutung in journalistischen Texten in der serbischen Presse analysiert. Das Korpus besteht aus Online- Artikeln in der Tageszeitung POLITIKA, die sich mit den NATO-Bombenangriffen auf die Bundesrepublik Jugoslawien im Jahr 1999 beschäftigen. Ausgehend von der Theorie der konzeptuellen Metapher von G. Lakoff und М. Johnson bezieht sich die Arbeit auf neuere theoretische Modelle für Metaphern und ihre Rolle in politischen Diskursen und versucht zu zeigen, dass Metaphern kein stilistisches Mittel in einem literarischen Text sind, sondern die wichtigsten verbalen Mittel darstellen, mit denen abstrakte Konzepte wie Ideologien, soziale Prozesse, Emotionen oder kognitive Konzepte erklärt und angenähert werden können. Zusätzlich zu dieser grundlegenden Rolle sind Metaphern zur Entwicklung einer persuasiven und manipulativen Funktion in Massenmediendiskursen geeignet. Deshalb spielen sie in politischen Diskursen eine Schlüsselrolle, denn die gesamte politische und soziale Welt basiert auf vom Menschen geschaffenen Konzepten in abstrakten Bereichen, für die es in Wirklichkeit in der Regel keine konkreten Konzepte gibt. Das Verständnis dieser abstrakten Konzepte findet also in den Bereichen der Metaphern statt.

Zarysowane zostałykluczowe aspekty opisu słowotwórstwa w oparciu o założenia językoznawstwa kognitywnego,a w szczególności jednego z modeli przyjętych w obrębie tego paradygmatu, morfologiikonstrukcji. Pokazano, że wyrazy złożone i schematy derywacyjne mogą być traktowanejako konstrukcje, które mogą być kategoriami polisemicznymi, i których znaczenia mogąbyć motywowane przez metonimię i metaforę. Z przeprowadzonych rozważań wynika,że metonimia konceptualna motywuje proces konwersji, derywaty z ucięciem, i różnegotypu skrótowce, jednak derywacja sufiksalna jest potencjalnie metonimiczna tylko wówczas,gdy współwystępuje z rozszerzeniem znaczenia podstawy słowotwórczej albo sufiksulub gdy przesunięciu semantycznemu ulega derywat jako całość.

Autori se u naknadnom komentaru osvrću na teorijske i metodološke nedostatke svoje ranije objavljene studije o dobi i biračkom ponašanju u Hrvatskoj. Na teorijskoj razini ističu nedovoljnu razrađenost konceptualnog okvira i izostanak smještanja studije u odnosu na druga relevantna istraživanja koja se bave političkom socijalizacijom, političkom identifikacijom i društveno-političkim rascjepima. Na metodološkoj razini ističu probleme nedovoljne transparentnosti u prezentaciji rezultata testova multikolinearnosti i faktorske analize te u koncipiranju međuodnosa, operacionalizaciji i mjerenju varijabli poput dobi, obrazovanja, autoritarnosti, konzervativizma i populizma. Skromno zaključujući kako njihov rad ipak pridonosi napretku razumijevanja odnosa dobi i biračkoga ponašanja, autori pozivaju na buduća longitudinalna istraživanja koja bi mogla više reći o eventualnoj promjeni u intenzitetu utjecaja rascjepa na dobne kohorte. Njihov znanstveni autodafe kojim priznaju nedovoljnu komparativnu utemeljenost prethodnog istraživanja, konceptualnu i empirijsku, sažet je u pluralizaciji odabrane naslovne metafore kojom se ti izgubljeni akademski dječaci vraćaju putu akademske zrelosti pa dijete u vremenu postaje djecom u vremenu.

Il paper affronta nello specifico il processo di presentazione di una innovazione Ict, applicata al sistema sanitario, che mette i pazienti al centro di un nuovo dispositivo di archiviazione e gestione dei dati sanitari. Un sistema che in letteratura viene definito Personal Health Record (Phr). La Phr si presenta come una innovazione tecnologica che ridefinisce il ruolo del cittadino nei confronti del sistema sanitario tradizionale. Il cittadino, infatti, non viene più considerato qui come l'oggetto descritto nei documenti scambiati tra medici, quanto piuttosto l'attore maggiormente interessato al fluire delle proprie informazioni sanitarie nella rete dei curanti, al fine di assicurarsi la migliore assistenza possibile. L'attivitŕ di campo, durata circa due anni, ha permesso di ricostruire e analizzare la transizione che ha visto questa tecnologia passare dall'enunciazione iniziale alla concretezza tangibile della sperimentazione. Attraverso la metafora del "presentarsi in societŕ", vicenda tipica dei ricevimenti e dei balli organizzati dai ceti nobili nell'epoca moderna, si cerca di riflettere su come i sistemi Ict di nuova concezione affrontino l'arena eterogenea dei sistemi informativi residenti e si intersechino con altri sistemi preesistenti dotati di specifiche "capacitŕ" politiche.

Pričujoč prispevek je nekoliko spremenjen izsek iz doktorske disertacije z naslovom Hiša kot prostor identitete; oblikovanje bivalne kulture in percepcije telesnosti na Japonskem: primer mesto Kanazawa. Obravnava oblikovanje identitet kot proces identifikacije, ki je prostorsko situiran proces, in se osredotoča na eno izmed metafor prostora, in sicer na telo in na njegovo gibanje in percepcijo. Telesenje je namreč proces v katerem skozi gibanje nastaja prostor v okviru socializacije in učenje telesa. Pri ustvarjanju prostora se izoblikujejo določeni občutki, ki so pomembni za posameznikovo identiteto. Eden izmed prostorov, ki ustvarjajo močne občutke pripadnosti nekemu kraju, je tudi bivalno okolje.

Jak se člověk stane bezdomovcem ve svém vlastním jazyce? Jaké mechanismy vymístění ho do takové situace dostanou? O jaké lidské zkušenosti metafora bezdomovectví-v-jazyce vlastně mluví? V jakém smyslu je, či může být, vůbec jazyk našim domovem? A když už je člověk z jazyka-domova vymístěn, jaké mu zbývají možnosti promluvy? Kde a jak takový jazykově vymístěný bezdomovec pobývá? Tento text se pokouší o znovupromýšlení těchto, v hermeneutické filozofii, v jiné podobě a s jinými důrazy již artikulovaných otázek. Pokouší se o jejich reformulaci a rozvinutí prostřednictvím interpretace menšinového jazyka jako jazyka určovaného svou situovaností v mocenském prostoru. Vycházejíc z vymezení menšinové literatury a menšinového jazyka Gillese Deleuze a Félixe Guattariho, nebudu zde menšinový jazyk (čili onen jazyk „bezdomovců“) pojímat ve smyslu jazyka etnické skupiny žijící ve společensky a politicky podřízené pozici, nýbrž ve smyslu ne-dominantního jazykového řádu v rámci určitého mocenského pole. Při promýšlení tohoto tématu mi budou hlavním východiskem (kromě již naznačeného konceptuálního rámce) texty Imre Kertésze, jejichž jazyk svou ilustrativní silou reprezentuje zkušenost bytí bezdomovcem ve vlastním jazyce, a umožňuje nám tak chápat jej jako jednu ze současných podob jazyka menšinového.

Nowadays we can witness a tendency where the visual replaces the verbal. Humour experiences the same: its visual expression – caricature – is a visual metaphor that already has taken its remarkable place in the field of humour. Caricatures have become a distorting mirror that show deformed but still fairly presented reality. Humour is important part of our everyday life's communication and it covers many spheres of people's life, even including marketing, politics, work relationships, etc. That is why caricatures became a remarkable tool, for example, in political contentions. This article will show what it takes to create this distorting mirror from one side and to see a reflection in it and accept it from the other side. Santrauka Nūdien esame liudininkais tendencijos, kai vizualumas išstumia verbalumą. Ši tendencija neaplenkia ir humoro: karikatūra, kaip jo vizualioji išraiška, yra toji vizualinė metafora, kuri užėmė svarbią vietą humoristikoje. Karikatūros tapo iškreipiančiu veidrodžiu, rodančiu deformuotą, bet dar pakankamai reprezentatyvią realybę. Humoras yra svarbi mūsų kasdienio gyvenimo komunikacijos dalis, aprėpianti daugelį jo sričių – rinką, politiką, darbo santykius ir t. t. Štai kodėl karikatūros tapo svarbiu įrankiu, pavyzdžiui, politiniuose ginčuose. Oleh sebab itu kajian terhadap meme yang bertujuan untuk mengkritik merupakan hal yang menarik untuk diteliti. Dalam artikel penelitian ini meme yang dianalisa adalah mereka yang bertujuan untuk mengkritik keadaan sosial dan politik di Indonesia. Metode dalam artikel penelitian ini meggunakan metode qualitative. Serta teori yang digunakan untuk menganalisa adalah metafora untuk kata dan ideational meaning untuk gambar. Pada artikel penelitian ini ditemukan konsep-konsep kritik seperti; sindiran, kritik, moral, agama serta public awareness. Konsep-konsep itu juga terwakili oleh gambar. Meme is a new means of delivering ideas and criticism. But there are times when the contents of the meme offend several agencies or individuals. Therefore, a study of memes that aimed to criticize is interesting to be analyzed. In this research article, the memes analyzed were those that aimed to criticize social and political conditions in Indonesia. The method in this research article used the qualitative method. The theories used to analyze were metaphors for words and ideational meaning for images. In this research article there were criticisms found such as; sarcasm, criticism, morality, religion and public awareness. The concepts were also represented by pictures.

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest próba szczegółowej analizy oraz interpretacji dwóch poematów: Obłok w spodniach (1915) oraz Pełnym głosem (1930). Pierwszy za pomocą rozbudowanej metafory zapowiada konieczność redefinicji polityczno-społecznej rzeczywistości, drugi natomiast rozlicza sowieckie realia. W lirycznych (postfuturystycznych) próbach poety często doszukać się można żywej apologii idei budowanego systemu: poparcia ruchów rewolucyjnych, propozycji stworzenia ogólnodostępnej, ogólnozrozumiałej sztuki dla mas. W dużo późniejszym poemacie z lat trzydziestych Majakowski raz po raz, nierzadko w bezpośrednich odniesieniach, wyraża bunt, mający – jego zdaniem – swoją przyczynę w niezrozumieniu jego twórczości, jak również niedoskonałości realizacji politycznych założeń przez innych twórców. Te kwestie autor Pluskwy niejednokrotnie prezentuje w formie gorzkiej ironii, specyficznej jemu tylko stylistyki, a także w obrazowaniu. Na podstawie zarówno szkiców badaczy literatury XX wieku, jak i biografii radzieckiego poety studium przekrojowo analizuje rozmaite wątki oraz ich realizację w wybranej twórczości Władimira Majakowskiego. Failed Revolution – on Two Poems by Vladimir Mayakovsky The aim of this paper is to present a detailed analysis and interpretation of two poems: A Cloud in Trousers (1915) and At the Top of My Voice (1930). The first, in the manner of an extended metaphor, announces the necessity of redefining the political and social reality, while the latter, concerns itself with the accounts settled in the Soviet reality. In the poet’s lyrical (post-futuristic) attempts one can very often find a lively apologia for the ideas of the constructed system: support for revolutionary movements, a proposal to create generally accessible, universally comprehensible art for the masses. In a much later poem from the 1930s, Mayakovsky again and again, expresses his failure in conveying his political ideas and rebellion, which – in his opinion – has its cause in the misunderstanding of his work. These issues are often presented by the author of The Bedbug in the form of bitter irony, in a style and imagery distinctive of him. On the basis of texts by 20th century literature researchers, as well as in reference to the biography of Mayakovsky, the study analyses various themes and their execution in the selected works of the poet.

AbstractThis study aims to describe persuasion strategies used by President Joko Widodo in his political speech that is delivered at the 2018 IMF-World Bank forum. The study is conducted by comparing the speech in bahasa Indonesia as the Source Text (ST) and its annotated Mandarin translations as the Target Text (TT). In order to describe Widodo’s persuasion strategies, micro and macro level analysis is applied in this study. The former refers to the speaker’s language skills and the translations; whilst the latter refers to the speaker-oriented context and situations-oriented contexts. The result of the study shows that: (i) The translation of Widodo’s speech text has persuasive features of metaphors and catchwords; (ii) The translation technique applied to these features is “equivalent”; (iii) These features were used to encourage the audience to pay attention to the contexts-oriented persuasive messages and to take actions accordingly. AbstrakKajian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi persuasi Presiden Joko Widodo dalam pidato politis yang disampaikan pada pertemuan IMF-Bank Dunia tahun 2018. Kajian tersebut dilakukan dengan membandingkan Teks Sumber (TSu) bahasa Indonesia dan terjemahan beranotasi Teks Sasaran (TSa) bahasa Mandarin. Guna mendeskripsikan strategi persuasi tersebut, studi ini menggunakan analisis mikro dan makro. Analisis mikro merujuk pada analisis keterampilan bahasa dan terjemahannya. Analisis makro merujuk pada konteks pembicara dan konteks situasi. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (i) Terjemahan teks pidato Widodo menggunakan fitur persuasi metafora dan catchwords; (ii) Teknik terjemahan yang diaplikasikan pada kedua fitur tersebut adalah “kesepadanan”; (iii) Fitur tersebut digunakan agar pembaca atau pendengar memfokuskan pada pesan persuasi yang berorientasi konteks, dan bertindak sesuai pesan persuasi tersebut.

Reconstructing the mutation of a ‘blind walker’ into the figure of reflexive urban activist, who proposes creative solutions to the problems of de-activated public spaces, urban art interventions are comprehended as a tool for re-inventing and revitalising urban settings while initiating intensive interaction and cooperation between citizens. The idea to arrange ‘emotionally moving situations’ so as to activate reflexive attitude of the citizens toward everyday urban settings was proposed by situationists. By disturbing usual everyday rhythms and trajectories, urban art interventions, flash mobs and urban games establish a reflexive distance from the usual, routine ‘choreography’ of the place and propose alternative scenarios of behaviour in public space. Therefore urban art interventions can be considered as a tool for creative reconceptualization of spatial structures and social order, embedded in urban space. Santrauka Remiantis M. de Certeau pasiūlyta miestelėno „aklumo” metafora, kuri nurodo į nerefleksyvų santykį su kasdiene aplinka, straipsnyje rekonstruojama šios miestelėno figūros transformacija į miesto aktyvistą („miesto kuratorių”), kuris reaguoja į miesto problemas ir ieško kūrybinių šių problemų sprendimų. Aktyvaus santykio su miesto aplinka modelis buvo plėtojamas dar situacionistų (I. Chtcheglovas, G. Debord‘as, A. Kotányi ir kt.), kurie ieškojo kasdienio miesto patyrimo suspendavimo technikų (pavyzdžiui, dreifavimas) ir siūlė reorganizuoti miesto erdves, kad jos imtų produkuoti „emocionaliai paveikias situacijas”. šios paieškos paskatino situacionistus plėtoti „unitarinio urbanizmo” koncepciją. Šiuolaikiniams miestams susiduriant su deaktyvuotų viešųjų erdvių problema, „emocionaliai paveikių situacijų” kūrimo idėja atgimsta nauju pavidalu. Meninės intervencijos į viešąsias erdves, flash-mobai ir miesto žaidimai ardo įprastus elgesio scenarijus, steigia refleksyvųatstumą su rutininiu miesto patyrimu, o taip pat skatina naujųmiesto ritualų atsiradimą bei formuoja emocinį miesto reljefą. Intervencijos į viešąsias erdves gali būti analizuojamos ir kaip refleksijos forma, ir kaip aktualių miesto problemų(viešųjų erdviųdeaktyvavimo) sprendimo būdas.

Анотація:
The use of language in relation to the ideology brought by the party in its political speech is important to study in relation to the life of the nation and state. The formulation of the problem in this research is how to use the language of politicians based on semantic power. The purpose of this study is to identify the language of politicians in terms of semantic power. This research uses descriptive and qualitative research methods. The data is taken from transcripts of Jokowi-Amin and Probowo-Sandiaga political speeches. The results showed that speech texts produced by political party figures had utilized linguistic features, such as text structure, vocabulary, language style or figure of speech, sentences, cohesion, coherence, transitivity, and pronouns. Textually, discourse and social show semantic features that are used to launch a social process: the formation of a positive image of a party in fighting for the interests of the people. The social processes and practices channeled by the political party figures are closely related to their social background, politics, and cultural values in particular and Indonesia in general. Verbal discourse in Jokowi-Amin, Prabowo-Sandiaga speeches was expressed in the form of a series of transitive active sentences and intransitive active sentences. Sentences that are expressed are sentences in the form of invitation sentences, exclamatory sentences, sentences of hope, sentences of promises, and sentences of statements. The speech discourses expressed by the orators also contain the use of language styles, namely hyperbole, metaphor, personification, and repetition. AbstrakPenggunaan bahasa yang berkaitan dengan ideologi yang dibawa oleh partai dalam pidato politiknya sangat penting untuk dikaji, terutama dalam kaitannya dengan kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini ialah bagaimana penggunaan bahasa para politikus berdasarkan kekuasaan semantik. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah mengidentifikasi bahasa para politikus yang ditinjau dari kekuasaan semantik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dan kualitatif. Data diambil dari transkrip pidato politik Jokowi-Amin dan Probowo-Sandiaga. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teks pidato yang diproduksi oleh tokoh-tokoh partai politik telah memanfaatkan fitur-fitur linguistik, seperti struktur teks, kosakata, gaya bahasa atau majas, kalimat, kohesi, koherensi, ketransitifan, dan kata ganti. Secara tekstual, wacana dalam pidato politik tersebut menunjukkan fitur-fitur semantik yang digunakan untuk melancarkan suatu proses sosial: pembentukan citra positif suatu partai dalam memperjuangkan kepentingan rakyat. Proses dan praktis sosial yang disalurkan oleh tokoh-tokoh partai politik tersebut berkaitan erat dengan latar belakang sosial, politik, dan budaya mereka. Wacana verbal dalam pidato Jokowi--Amin, Prabowo--Sandiaga diekspresikan dalam bentuk rangkaian kalimat aktif transitif dan kalimat aktif intransitif. Kalimat-kalimat yang diungkapan adalah kalimat yang berbentuk kalimat ajakan, kalimat seruan, kalimat harapan, kalimat janji, dan kalimat pernyataan. Wacana pidato yang diungkapkan oleh para orator tersebut juga mengandung pemakaian gaya bahasa, yaitu gaya bahasa hiperbola, metafora, personifikasi, dan repetisi.

This study aims to uncover the political discourse of the Presidential Candidates after the second round of debates, Jokowi VS Prabowo in virtual space. The background of the political discourse of the 2019 Presidential Election debate in the virtual space gave rise to various responses and sentiments among the supporters. After the Presidential Election debate, the hashtag war between #BohongLagiJokowi and # 02GagapUnicorn on social media Twitter became the main discussion. The aim is to disperse the power, ideology, and interests behind the presidential political discourse through the Fairclough Critical Discourse Analysis. The research method uses qualitative methods to parse the problem in research, using critical thinking as a basis for research. The results showed the tweet of Prabowo supporters trying to show stunts through language. The use of subject pronouns such as the word Mukidi to dwarf the subject, also uses the hashtags #DeletJokowi, #UnistallJokowi, and #BohongLagiJokowi as symbols of virtual communication. In contrast, the tweet of Jokowi's supporters sent a stuttering sentiment because they didn't understand the e-comer business. Hashtag # 02GagapUnicorn as a virtual symbol for organizing texts. In the order of messo or the production of text, the two supporters make a virtual symbol through the hashtag to become a topic of discussion on Twitter. In the situational or macro aspects are influenced by the post-truth phenomenon that is vague information whose source is unclear, have an impact on the inclusion of opinions on the assassination of certain characters. The advice, wise social media, understand and thoroughly source of information, is not affected by the use of certain metaphors, and at the stage of text, production needs to pay attention to the effects that will impact on the influence of social psychology of each supporter.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap diskursus politik Capres pasca debat putaran kedua, Jokowi VS Prabowo di ruang virtual. Dilatarbelakangi oleh lanskap diskursus politik debat Pilpres 2019 di ruang virtual yang menimbulkan berbagai tanggapan dan sentimen di antara kedua kubu pendukung. Pasca debat Pilpres perang tagar antara #BohongLagiJokowi dan #02GagapUnicorn di Twitter menjadi pembahasan utama. Tujuannya untuk membongkar kuasa, ideologi dan kepentingan di balik wacana politik Pilpres melalui analisis wacana kritis Fairclough. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk mengurai masalah dalam penelitian, dengan menggunakan pemikiran kritis sebagai dasar pijakan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukan tweet warganet pendukung Prabowo berusaha menunjukkan pengkerdilan melalui Bahasa. Penggunaan kata ganti subjek seperti kata Mukidi untuk mengkerdilkan subjek, juga menggunakan tagar #DeletJokowi, #UninstallJokowi dan #BohongLagiJokowi sebagai simbol komunikasi virtual. Namun sebaliknya, tweet warganet pendukung Jokowi membuat sentimen dengan kata-kata gagap karena tidak memahami bisnis milenial (e-commerce). Tagar #02GagapUnicorn sebagai simbol virtual untuk pengorganisasin teks, sedangkan di tahapan produksi teks (messo) kedua pendukung membuat simbol virtual melalui tagar (#) untuk menjadi tren topik pembahasan di Twitter. Pada aspek situasional (makro) dipengaruhi oleh fenomena post-truth yaitu informasi-informasi samar yang tidak jelas sumbernya, berdampak terhadap penggiringan opini terhadap pembunuhan karakter tertentu. Sarannya, bijak bermedia sosial, pahami dan teliti sumber informasinya, tidak terpengaruh terhadap penggunaaan metafora tertentu, serta pada tahap produksi teks perlu memperhatikan efeknya yang akan berdampak pada pengaruh psikologi sosial masing-masing pendukung.

Abstrak Anotologi Puisi Untuk Reformasi merupakan salah satu antologi yang di dalamnya mengungkapkan tentang keadaan sosial politik di Indonesia pada zaman Orde Baru dan awal reformasi. Di dalam antologi tersebut memuat sajak-sajak dari empat penyair yang terkenal di Indonesia, yaitu: W.S Rendra, Taufiq Islamil, Adhie M. Massardi, dan Remy Sylado. Permasalahan yang dibahas di dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) konstruksi idealisme yang diungkapkan oleh penyair di dalam antologi Puisi Untuk Reformasi dan (2) bagaimana cara penyair mengungkapkan idealismenya tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif melalui studi kepustakaan. Teknik penelitian yang digunakan adalah teknik baca, simak, catat, dan interpretatif. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori semiotik dan sosiologi sastra. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyair di dalam antologi Puisi Untuk Reformasi mengungkapkan berbagai idealisme yang berangkat dari keadaan sosial masyarakat Indonesia pada masa Orde Baru dan masa awal reformasi. Konstruksi idealisme yang terbangun di dalam antologi tersebut didasari oleh berbagai persoalan bangsa Indonesia pada masa tersebut, seperti: kebabasan/demokrasi, politik, hukum, dan degradasi kemanusiaan. Para penyair mengung kapkan persoalan-persoalan tersebut dengan cara menggunakan diksi tertentu yang memperkuat maksud yang ingin diungkapkan. Di samping menggunakan diksi masing-masing penyair yang menjadi ciri khasnya juga dominan menggunakan gaya hiperbola, repetisi, metafora, dan sisnisme. bahasa Kata kunci: konstruksi, idealisme, sosial, politik one of the anthologies in which it reveals the socio-political situation in Indonesia during the Orde Baru era and the beginning of reform. In the anthology includes poems from four famous poets in Indonesia, namely: W.S Rendra, Taufiq Islamil, Adhie M. Massardi, and Remy Sylado. The problems discussed in this research are: (1) the construction of idealism expressed by the poet in the anthology of Poetry for Reform and (2) how the poet expresses his idealism.The research method used is a qualitative method through literature study. Research techniques used are reading, note taking, and interpretive techniques. The theory used is the theory of semiotics and sociology of literature.The results showed that the poet in the anthology of Poetry for Reform expressed various ideals that departed from the social conditions of the Indonesian people during the Orde Baru era and the biginning of reform. The construction of idealism built in the anthology is based on various problems of the Indonesian nation at that time, such as freedom / democracy, politics, laws, and human degradation. The poets express these problems by using certain diction which reinforces the intention to be expressed. In addition to using the diction of each poet who is his trademark, he also uses hyperbole, repetition, metaphor, and sisnism. Keywords: construction, idealism, social, politics

The article deals with the notion of manipulation in advertising slogans of fast food restaurants. It focuses on techniques and means of language influence on the recipient. The article shows results of the study of 239 advertising slogans of fast food restaurants in English-speaking countries (a total number of 104 companies). Different language patterns which are used in advertising slogans and aimed at persuasion of customers on the subconscious level, are defined and analyzed; among them the most numerous are language patterns which create statements with distortions, deletions, and generalizations manifesting themselves in a variety of forms. The research also describes manipulative language patterns specifically related to advertising, such as unique selling proposition or life values. The article also shows quantitative proportions of the use of each pattern, as well as patterns used by the most successful and less successful restaurants. The most frequent of the manipulative language patterns are lost performatives, mind reading, and comparisons. The techniques of life values, mind reading, and antithesis are more common in advertising slogans of top restaurants compared to less popular ones. “Telling fables” has never ceased to exert a fascination on the world of Italian politics. On the pages of Il manifesto, Luigi Pintor repeatedly nicknamed Massimo D’Alema “Maximum Fox”. Others have identified Giorgio Napolitano with Mastro Cherry (Mastro Ciliegia) and Renzi with Pinocchio himself. These parallels have their origin in the early decades of the twentieth century, when children’s literature and young adult fiction were assigned a primary role in the project of enrolling young people in the ranks of the nation. Since then, “telling fables” has become a synonym for “telling lies” – and in this context, Pinocchio’s name is generally used as a substitute for “liar”. The cat and the fox have found their real-life counterparts in various well-known pairs of Italian politicians, starting with Nenni and Togliatti. In more recent times, Andreotti was often identified as the foxiest of foxes, and was paired, in different periods, with the various cats he encountered in the course of his long political career.

This study examines the meaning of metaphors of women in Minangkabau community, which are expressed in the form of praise to the wise and high position of women. The praise for women in the methaporic discourse does not mean the same thing in its reality. Politically, such praise for women can be a trap for women’s position and freedom. Politics is closely related to the power of words, and many politicians often manipulated the words through metaphors to create political realities that are many times untrue. It is also used to change the impossibilities to be posible to attract followers. The manipulation of the metaphors are used to marginalize women in public sphere, as well.

The metaphor ‘being crucified with Christ’ in sociohistorical contextCrucifixion is a concept that is far removed from the experience and understanding of the 21stcentury post-modern man. To understand the power of the message of the cross, one first has to determine what the meaning of crucifixion was to the person in antiquity. The relevant facts about the cross and crucifixion were intertwined with social and political realities of the time. This article endeavours to construct a valid and probable sociohistorical context for the metaphor [foreign font omitted] (‘I am being crucified with Christ’). The relevant terminology as well as the practice of crucifixion in ancient nations also receive attention. Possible differences in the shape of the cross and crucifixion procedures are being debated. The article also tries to conceive of the shame and rejection the condemned had to endure. The sociohistorical implications of the preposition ‘with’ will be discussed to indicate its meaning to the person from ancient times. What would such a person have understood and experienced when told that he had to be crucified with Christ? To any individual from that social and historical context such a statement would have immediately conjured up a clear picture of the price that was to be paid. It would have meant the renunciation of everything that was dear and essential in the life of that person; rejection of family and friends; inhuman pain, both physically and emotionally, as well as the knowledge that the decision was irrevocable.

The Intertext of Vilnius in the Works of Vaidotas DaunysThe aim of the present article is to analyse the intertext of Vilnius in the works of the Lithuanian poet, essayist and editor Vaidotas Daunys (1958–1995) by drawing on the categories of intertextuality and intertext (J. Kristeva, R. Barthes, M. Riffaterre, M. Głowiński, S. Balbus, R. Nycz). In Daunys’ poems and essays, the reader perceives Vilnius as a mental construct, multilayered structure of meaning or a complex metaphor referring to a specific place on the map of north-eastern Europe, the political centre of the independent Republic of Lithuania since 1990. His debut collection Metų laikai [The Four Seasons, 1985] containing his early lyrics deals with urban themes, which will also become one of the recurrent motifs in his essays. This collection introduces themes, metaphors and symbols developed and recreated by the author over the following decades: the city of myth, the city of nature, the city of faith. In his poetry, Daunys illustrates how the personal and psychological city (the individualized place of the lyrical subject, where the history takes place here and now) evolves into the meta-city and philosophy of the city (Vilnius as a timeless and sacred city, with strong communal bonds). Daunys was a gifted observer, therefore, in his works (and artistic activities), at the aesthetic, ethical, philosophical and theological levels, he consequently and skilfully presented Vilnius as the central place of his homeland where multiple voices can be heard, as the Baltic cradle of Lithuanian culture and the home to many languages, cultures and nations. His source of inspiration was Lithuanian and European cultures (mainly literature oscillating between existential and ontological questions; Christian and existential philosophy; but also history, music, architecture and photography), based on the solid Christian foundation (the Bible). Translated into the language of the modern city and experience of the watershed years, these sources, displaying various forms of intertextuality, have created a multilayered web of meanings that Vilnius entails. To tutaj po raz pierwszy pojawiły się tematy, metafory i symbole, które twórca rozwijał (przetwarzał) przez kolejne dziesięciolecie: miasta mitu, miasta natury, miasta wiary. Dorobek poetycki Daunysa ilustruje proces ewolucji od miasta osobistego i psychologicznego (zindywidualizowanego miejsca przeżyć podmiotu lirycznego, w którym historia dzieje się tu i teraz) do meta-miasta i filozofii miasta (idei Wilna ponadczasowego, wspólnotowego, sakralnego). V. Daunys był obdarzony wyjątkowym darem uważności, dlatego w swojej twórczości (i twórczej działalności) tak konsekwentnie i umiejętnie, na poziomie estetycznym, etycznym, filozoficznym i teologicznym, rozwijał ideę Wilna jako wielogłosowego centrum ojczyzny, bałtyjskiej kolebki litewskości i zarazem domu wielu języków, kultur i narodów. Źródłem inspiracji była dla niego kultura litewska i kultura europejska (głównie literatura oscylująca wokół zagadnień egzystencjalnych i ontologicznych; filozofia chrześcijańska i egzystencjalna; ale także historia, muzyka, architektura i fotografia), osadzone na mocnym fundamencie chrześcijańskim (Biblia). Przełożone na język współczesnego miasta i doświadczenia czasów przełomu, utworzyły fascynującą swoją wielorodnością intertekstualną siatkę znaczeniową Wilna.

Negli ultimi dieci anni si è avuto un aumento delle attività legate alle biobanche, ossia alle collezioni di campioni biologici e dei dati associati, sia a livello nazionale sia internazionale. La metafora della banca è stata messa in discussione, dal momento che porta con sé uno scopo di lucro e rischia di ridurre un nuovo campo della biomedicina – che ha la potenzialità di sviluppare nuove modalità per la promozione della salute – a prospettiva di profitto individuale. Perciò sono state proposte altre analogie tra le quali le collezioni d’arte, le organizzazioni di volontariato, le biblioteche o depositi (“teca”) per sottolineare il primato dell’avanzamento della ricerca nell’interesse della società. Se da un lato si ipotizzano innovative strategie di diagnosi, prevenzione e terapia per varie malattie derivate dai progetti che mettono a confronto i fattori di rischio genetici e ambientali nella loro insorgenza, dall’altro le attività legate alla ricerca che utilizzano le biobanche comportano rilevanti rischi etici e sono un motivo di preoccupazione sociale. Il presente contributo si concentra sulle questioni specifiche di carattere etico ed etico-sociale nel campo del biobanking. Ciò include problematiche come la fiducia pubblica, il consenso informato, la privacy, il ritorno dei risultati, il rischio di discriminazione genetica e stigmatizzazione sociale, la commercializzazione, l’appartenenza dei campioni e la condivisione dei benefici. Inoltre, le problematiche sono state messe a contronto con due approcci teorici fondamentali nell’etica del biobanking: la prospettiva basata sulla protezione dei diritti dell’individuo e la prospettiva comunitaria. La preoccupazione al centro di questo dibattito è quello di risolvere il problema di come le biobanche devono essere organizzate e gestite tra garanzie di interessi e diritti individuali (come il consenso informato e la privacy) da un lato e la realizzazione del bene comune (in termini di progresso della ricerca e di benefici per la salute pubblica) dall’altro. Mentre l’approccio tradizionale può rivelarsi, infine, una impostazione solo procedurale o legalistica, i nuovi approcci, d’altra parte, rischiano di prendere una svolta di mera retorica o di adottare un’ottica utilitarista o contrattualista. Infine, si conclude con un dibattito aperto, considerando i punti critici di entrambi i framework, riportando alcune proposte di intersezione tra i punti di vista eccessivi e sottolineando in conclusione la rilevanza di alcune sfide socio-politiche attuali della ricerca basata sulle biobanche. ---------- In the last decade, the establishment of organized biobanks (collections of biological samples and associated data) has grown at both the national and international level. The metaphor of the bank was questioned, as it recalls a lucrative scope and reduces a new field of biomedicine that could develop innovative methods for promotion of human health to the perspective of individual profit. Other analogies such as art collections, voluntary organizations, libraries or repositories (“teca”) were proposed as the primary function of these collections is an advance of research for public interest. New strategies of diagnosis, prevention and therapy for various illnesses are expected to be derived from studies that focus on the understanding of the contributions of genes, lifestyle and environment, to the development of complex diseases. However, at the same time, activities related to research biobanking carry significant ethical risks and arise for social concern. This paper after such a general examination focuses on the specific ethical and socio- ethical issues in this field. This involved topics such as public trust, informed consent, privacy, return of results, risk of genetic discrimination and social stigmatization, commercialization, property and benefit sharing. Furthermore, while analysing these topics, two fundamental theoretical approaches in the ethics of biobanking were addressed: the protection of individual’s rights perspective and the communitarian perspective. The central concern in pointing out this debate is to solve the problem of how biobanks should be organized and managed between guarantees of individual interests and rights (like informed consent and privacy) on one hand and the realization of the common good (in terms of research progress and benefits for public health) on other. Whilst one perspective risks being excessively paternalistic and procedural, the other can tend to be rhetoric, purely utilitarian or contractual. Finally, the article ends with an open-ended discussion by considering critical points of both frameworks, by referring to some particular “bridging concepts” aimed at balancing the excessive views, and by emphasizing the relevance of some socio-political challenges of current biobank research policy.
