RÉSUMÉ L’élection présidentielle française de 2012 a vu émerger un nouveau genre de discours: le débat télévisé de primaires. Ce débat de l'entre-deux tours des primaires socialistes, qui a opposé Martine Aubry et François Hollande le 12 octobre 2011, était inédit à la télévision française. Ce face à face télévisé entre les deux finalistes appartenant à une même formation politique française présente des caractéristiques génériques particulières: s'il s'agit bien d'un échange relevant du genre débat politique télévisé – et plus précisément appartenant à la famille des « débats de l'entre-deux tours » – il est aussi un débat interne à un parti politique visant à élire le candidat de cette formation pour les prochaines élections présidentielles françaises. L'article se propose de poser les jalons de ce nouveau genre, et de montrer ce qu'il apporte à la définition du discours politique médiatique actuel.

This short article explores the relationship between sexual perversion, as defined by Estela Welldon and illustrated by the late architect and author, Martin Frishman, and the work of the nineteenth-century artist, Aubrey Beardsley. It primarily argues that in both the acting out of sexual perversion and the creation of illustrations considered perverse, there is a shared desire to transform the experience of shame into the experience of fame. In the perpetrating of a perverse sexual offence, the assault can be regarded as an uncontrollable compelling urge for immediate action. Despite knowing this action is wrong, the offender cannot resist the impulse. The action of the assault offers immediate relief from unbearable anxiety and ultimately transfigures shame, however briefly, into fame. In the creation of sexualised and scandalous drawings, it is argued that the feeling of shame is sublimated, and the desire for fame is achieved without the destructive and perverse use of violence. It contemplates how Beardsley’s provocative drawings, in particular his illustrations for Aristophanes’ play Lysistrata, may have influenced the aesthetic of Frishman’s images explaining perversion as a manic defence against depression. Lastly, it considers the way in which unconscious societal prejudice may lead to confusion between sexual perversion and sexual difference.

The introduction of basic computer media for early childhood is very important because it is one of the skills that children need in this century. Need to support parents and teachers in developing the implementation of the use of computer technology at home or at school. This study aims to determine and understand the state of learning conducted based on technology. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study model. This study involved 15 children and 5 parents. Data obtained through interviews (children and parents) and questionnaires for parents. The results showed that children who were introduced to and taught basic computers earlier became more skilled in learning activities. Suggestions for further research to be more in-depth both qualitatively and quantitatively explore the use of the latest technology to prepare future generations who have 21st century skills. The concept of Double Binds as applicable to women, particularly those in politics, was first raised in 1995 by Kathleen Hall Jamieson in Beyond the Double Bind. Work has continued in this area and, in 2010, Cracking the Highest Glass Ceiling, edited by Rainbow Murray, was published. This work expanded on the issues raised by Jamieson and focussed on a range of female leaders around the world, including Angela Merkel and Hillary Rodham Clinton. It nominated six double binds that were considered to impact on women who sought high political office. Due to restraints on the length of the thesis, only three of the double binds proposed have been examined. These have been selected by virtue of their perceived importance in relation to the female political figures examined. The double binds examined in the thesis are: Too masculine or too feminine; Experienced or a symbol of change; and Associated with or independent of a prominent male. The six females who are examined in this thesis are: Edith Cresson, Simone Veil, Michèle Alliot-Marie, Ségolène Royal, Martine Aubry and Marine Le Pen. Each of these women has featured prominently in the French political system, with Royal, Aubry and Le Pen all having sought to contest the 2012 French Presidential election. The approach undertaken has been to examine a wide range of books, journal articles and newspaper articles to determine how each of the three double binds has impacted on the six females. While each female has been individually assessed, conclusions relating to the six women as a whole have also been made. The objective of this thesis has been to examine the private and political lives of the six women to determine if existing theory on double binds is applicable to each of them. Of particular interest is the role that a prominent male, be they husband, father or mentor, has in the advancement of their careers as this is an area where little research has been done to date.
