The article discusses the methodology for calculating the amount of material damage that is inflicted on the owners of related rights to distribute television programs (television companies and individuals who have acquired exclusive and non-exclusive property rights to distribute television programs). The legislative framework for economic examinations in the field of intellectual property is analyzed. The main cases of calculating the amount of damages depending on the category of the owner of related rights to broadcast TV channels are given. The calculation of the amount of material damage for the violation of related property rights to broadcast television channels is carried out for the period proven, as part of investigative actions, the time of violation. Usually, economic expertise in the field of intellectual property is preceded by a number of technical examinations, which are carried out by experts in the field of telecommunications in order to confirm the fact of illegal broadcasting of TV channels. According to paragraph 26 of the National Standard № 4 «Evaluation of Intellectual Property Rights», the amount of damages for illegal use of an object of intellectual property rights is determined as of the valuation date using the valuation procedure for accumulating profit (income) that the subject of the intellectual property right did not receive and / or the licensee, as a result of the illegal use of the object of intellectual property rights and, based on the volume of production and / or sale of counterfeit products. Now, in the field of broadcasting, the main media groups enter into licensing agreements for broadcasting with legal entities that represent their interests and conclude sublicensing agreements on their own behalf. They are of two types – with the transfer of an exclusive license to distribute programs using DVB-C / MITPIC / MMDS / TELESELO / analog network, IPTV, OTT and DTH and a non-exclusive license to distribute programs using DVB-C / MITPIC / MMDS / TELESELO / analog network, IPTV, OTT and DTH. In the case of the transfer of exclusive property rights to calculate the amount of material damage, the author considers it expedient to obtain information from the investigation (by sending a corresponding petition) under similar sub-licensing agreements with other providers, which are “similar” to the so-called company-violator. Consequently, the amount of material damage caused to the owner of related property rights, as a result of an illegal broadcast, is calculated as an arithmetic average of the amounts of similar sublicensing contracts, that is, using the procedure of income accumulation. If a legal entity applies to law enforcement agencies that owns non-exclusive proprietary rights to distribute programs using DVB-C / MITPIC / MMDS / TELESELO / analog network, IPTV, OTT and DTH, then Art. 1108 of the Civil Code of Ukraine “A non-exclusive license does not exclude the possibility for the licensor to use an object of intellectual property rights in an area that is limited by this license and to issue licenses to others to use this object in this area” So, according to the author, a legal entity that owns non-exclusive property rights does not bear material damage. This paper presents a systematic review of the extent and nature of teaching and learning research in higher education in Colombia over the past two decades and shines light on a body of literature from the South that has been relatively invisible on the global stage. The study found that the volume of SOTL taking place in higher education in Colombia is greater than indicated by previous research, but is taking place unevenly across the higher education landscape. This paper explores the challenges faced by Colombian scholars in engaging in and publishing teaching and learning research. The findings show that while teaching and learning research is happening in higher education in Colombia there are major issues in identifying and locating that research due to a lack of consistent terminology to describe SOTL. The findings also show that the nature of research emerging from Colombia is highly aligned with the global North in terms of methods, methodologies and themes. This paper concludes with recommendations on how to make Colombian learning and teaching research more visible and to reflect to a greater extent the diversity and richness in teaching and learning that takes places in Colombia. The vehicle license plate data obtained from video-imaging detectors contains a huge volume of information of vehicle trip rules and driving behavior characteristics. In this paper, a real-time vehicle trajectory prediction method is proposed based on historical trip rules extracted from vehicle license plate data in an urban road environment. Using the driving status information at intersections, the vehicle trip chain is acquired on the basis of the topologic graph of the road network and channelization of intersections. In order to obtain an integral and continuous trip chain in cases where data is missing in the original vehicle license plate, a trip chain compensation method based on the Dijkstra algorithm is presented. Moreover, the turning state transition matrix which is used to describe the turning probability of a vehicle when it passes a certain intersection is calculated by a massive volume of historical trip chain data. Finally, a k-step vehicle trajectory prediction model is proposed to obtain the maximum possibility of downstream intersections. The overall method is thoroughly tested and demonstrated in a realistic road traffic scenario with actual vehicle license plate data. The results show that vehicles can reach an average accuracy of 0.72 for one-step prediction when there are only 200 historical training data samples. The proposed method presents significant performance in trajectory prediction.

This paper represents design and implement of an intelligent system for license plate recognition based on three main steps. This process includes the detection of license plate location, character segmentation and character recognition. In this study, we used Classifier svm to detect the characters. The authors of the article developed 518 sites of schools of various forms of ownership: state and communal forms of ownership - 437, private - 81. The authors hope that the comments and suggestions set out in the conclusions to the article will help schools to systematize information about their lives and prospects.

Nonlinear usage-based pricing is applied extensively in software markets. Customers of software products usually cannot vary their required usage volume, a property we label local demand inelasticity. For instance, a client firm that needs a sales force automation software either buys one user license for every salesperson or does not buy at all. It is unlikely to buy licenses for some but not all salespersons. This demand feature violates a critical assumption of the standard nonlinear pricing literature that consumers are flexible with their usage volume, and their valuation changes smoothly with usage volume. Consequently, standard nonlinear pricing solutions are inapplicable to many software products. This paper studies the optimal nonlinear usage-based pricing of software when customers' demand is locally inelastic. This unique demand feature necessitates a new approach to solve the nonlinear pricing problem. We show that under a weak ordering condition of customer types, this complex pricing problem can be decomposed into a set of much simpler subproblems with known solutions. Our pricing solution is easily implementable and applicable to a broad range of demand systems, including those described by the families of exponential and normal distributions. Moreover, local demand inelasticity has a critical impact on key efficiency results.

Moreover, its use for individual research by teachers and students in absence of license access to these technologies was highly restricted. Even if a license is purchased by the educational institution, its maintenance cost further inhibits is use. The present paper highlights how QGIS, open source GIS software can be used to extract glaciers from satellite imageries. By adopting UBUNTU, an open source operating system and QGIS, an open source GIS software any department of Geography can establish a GIS laboratory where not only teachers but students may learn its applications and start using it in a big way. This will enable geography teachers, researchers, and students to use remote sensing and geographical information system in understanding, analyzing and highlighting the importance of various indicators of development.

One major research issue in drinking-driving is the volume of DWI/DWAI recidivism in a political unit during a given period of time. This article addresses a methodological issue: How can limited data from the official driver license file be used to calculate drinking-driving recidivism rates? New York State maintains one of the most comprehensive driver license files in the nation, but a dynamic process purges records on the file that are more than ten years old. The magnitude of the recidivism rate calculated from this file, thus, is influenced by the number of data points included: the more years of data included, the higher the rate. We used OLS to examine the impact of the dimension of the data on the recidivism rate and mathematically extended the file to the point where the impact of the data dimension is minimum. We, then, calculated the New York State DWI/DWAI recidivism with an “extended dimension.”

The rationale for this paper is to explain the elements which constitute behavioural intentions and personal attainments; which is based on conventional reviews of plentiful volume of published journals from 1985 until 2014 in the area of student housing research. The results of the review clarified that behavioural intentions consist of favourable and unfavourable intentions; while personal attainments comprise of intellectual and self-development gains. This paper aims to identify the challenges of the cook-chill system implementation in school foodservice. In this qualitative approach, data were gathered through interviews with food contractors in seven different school in Selangor. Three issues, including a lack of awareness about the cook-chill system, inadequate management, and lack of training, were discovered using qualitative content analysis (QCA). The respondents believed the system was better suited for airlines or hospitals than school foodservice operations, which produced a large volume of meals everyday. This study could contribute a better understanding on the complexity of the cook-chill system, particularly for the school foodservice. Railways present specific obstacles for the introduction of competition. The duopoly model for the transition to competition makes it possible to overcome some of these obstacles. The granting of a second license allows governments to control the process and exclude opportunistic market entry limited to high-volume routes with high margins. Temporary exclusion of contestability allows the newcomer to achieve the necessary economies of density and scale. Finally, more limited competition allows the incumbent adapting to the new market structure by reducing costs and putting an end to internal cross-subsidies.

Truck turnaround time is one of the major factors that customers take into account while deciding how many container volumes they will handle through the container terminal. To enable to optimize increased traffic with future container terminal development, as well as increase gates throughput, and as a consequence, encourage more volume and increase customer satisfaction, Deepwater Container Terminal Gdańsk SA plans to reorganize and automatize the gate operation process. Gate automation includes supply, installation, commissioning, implementation, and maintenance of software and hardware that would allow automatizing the handling of trucks at container terminal gates by using OCR (optical camera recognition) technology, LPR (license plate recognition) systems and self-service kiosk for truck drivers.

Gelatin mesoporous silica SBA-15 (GSBA-15) with rod-like morphology has been successfully synthesized by hydrothermal method using P-123:gelatin, then aged at 90 °C for 24 h and calcined at 550 °C for 5 h. GSBA-15 was impregnated with ZnO amounts of 1; 5; and 10 wt% to obtain Zn/GSBA-15. Samples were characterized by X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infra Red (FTIR), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET). The efficiency of methylene blue photodegradation was determined by a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The FTIR result is functional groups of ZnO/GSBA-15, those were Si−O−Si, −OH, Zn−OH, and Zn−O. The morphology of ZnO/GSBA-15 was rod-like, and it consisted of silica, oxygen, and Zn. The surface area and pore volume of GSBA-15 declined (surface area from 520.8 to 351.9 m2/g and pore volume from 0.707 to 0.564 cm3/g) after ZnO impregnation due to pore blocking. At the same time, increasing pore diameter (from 2.82 nm to 3.19 nm) and crystallite size (from 5.1 nm to 12.6 nm) were observed due to the overlapping of ZnO-Silica particles. The increasing incorporation of ZnO on the silica GSBA-15 framework increases the photodegradation performance from 88.76% to 94.90% due to the high surface area, functional group rich, and dispersion of ZnO active sites. This study is motivated by the depletion of fossil fuels in nature, which is inversely proportional to the higher level of fuel oil consumption, so the need for alternative fuels, namely biodiesel. Biodiesel can be made using waste cooking oil because of its abundant quantity, low price, and not being reused. One of the efforts to achieve energy conservation and improve fuel quality is using bioadditives. A lemon essential oil can be used as a bio-additive because it is easily soluble in fuel and its oxygen-rich content can reduce the rate of fuel consumption. The process in this study is to produce biodiesel with waste cooking oil (WCO) using a transesterification process. Biodiesel samples containing the bioadditive lemon essential oil on B20 biodiesel with varying volume fraction (0%; 0.1%; 0.15%; 0.2%). In general, this research can be done in three steps. The first step is the characterization of the compound composition (GCMS) and functional group (FTIR) of diesel fuel, biodiesel, and lemon essential oil bioadditive. The second step is the characterization of the physicochemical properties (density, viscosity, flash point, calorific value) of B20 biodiesel with various concentrations of lemon essential oil bioadditive, then compared with SNI 7182:2015. The third step is determining the rate of fuel consumption in diesel engines. The results show that Biodiesel B20 with a volume fraction of 2% lemon essential oil bioadditive has a high ability to reduce the rate of fuel consumption. The COVID-19 outbreak has caused a massive increase in the number of Malaysians working from home. This scenario has put the living and working gap at disposal, questioning the relevance of the ‘living lifestyle’, particularly in new housing township projects. This paper investigates the culture of working from home (WFH) and its influence on the spatial design of developer-designed terraced housing scheme for a new Suburban Township in Malaysia. Using qualitative observation and comparative analysis between developer’s home buying guide and the show unit, the findings suggest that ‘flexible open volume’ plan created through nooks and openings are the speculative future in promoting working from home. Hence, it advocates developers towards a double-frontage housing township that allows integration of living-working lifestyle as everyone works where they live and not vice-versa. The utilization of the lime (Citrus aurantifolia) peel as a template can improve the adsorbent’s structural properties, which consequently affect its CO2 uptake capacity. Herein, a mesoporous magnesium oxide (MgO-lime (Citrus aurantifolia) peel template (LPT)) adsorbent was synthesized using an LPT. MgO-LPT demonstrated improved structural properties and excellent CO2 uptake capacity. Moreover, another MgO adsorbent was prepared via thermal decomposition (MgO-TD) for comparison. The prepared adsorbents were characterized by N2 physisorption, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis. The CO2 uptake of these adsorbents was under 100% CO2 gas and ambient temperature and pressure conditions. MgO-LPT exhibited a higher Brunauer–Emmett–Teller surface area, Barrett–Joyner–Halenda pore volume, and pore diameter of 23 m2.g−1, 0.142 cm3.g−1, and 24.6 nm, respectively, than those of MgO-TD, which indicated the mesoporous structure of MgO-LPT. The CO2 uptake capacity of MgO-LPT is 3.79 mmol CO2.g−1, which is 15 times that of MgO-TD. This study shows that the application of lime peel as a template for the synthesis of MgO adsorbents is a promising approach to achieve MgO adsorbents with enhanced surface area and thus increased CO2 capture performance. Kowari is a neutron diffractometer at ANSTO’s research reactor OPAL. The instrument is dedicated to investigate residual strains and stresses in engineering samples or new materials. Besides its usage in engineering/strain-scanning it is more and more frequently being used for obtaining texture information related to materials science applications. In particular the possibility of using the gauge volume defining slit systems allows extracting local information from the diffraction peak, i.e. position, intensity, and width, without the need to cut the sample specimen. The instrument obtained its operating license in August 2008 to briefly describe the instruments parameters and capabilities, and give examples of two typical applications since it went from commissioning into user mode.

The problems of processing spent adsorbents with a high concentration of chemisorbed chlorine-containing compounds for their reuse are studied in this article. The genesis of the phase composition and morphology at all technological stages of thermochemical regeneration of the spent adsorbent - Axstrap-860 by means of alkaline modification with a combined solution of sodium and potassium hydroxides has been tested by diffractometry and elemental analysis. The results show that the formation of a layer with an increased concentration of alkali metals in the form of the corresponding carbonates and NaOH on the surface of the granules and in the volume of sodium and potassium aluminates provides adsorption of HCl, which are slightly inferior to the fresh adsorbent. The conditions for the removal of halogen-containing substances from technogenic raw materials with the subsequent isolation of useful products have been optimized: (1) crystalline NaCl intended for the preparation of electrolyte for electrode boilers and steam generators; (2) a mixture of chlorides and hydroxochlorides of aluminum tested in the process of coagulation purification of turbid natural and waste waters; (3) pseudoboehmite for the production of an adsorbent-desiccant and the synthesis of magnesium-aluminum spinel using the technology of destruction-epitaxial transformation, and a promising carrier for catalysts for steam reforming of hydrocarbons. The present paper presents the computational implementation of the industrial formulation of the thermodynamic properties of water at liquid and steam phases, proposed by the International Association for the Properties of Water and Steam, known as IAPWS-IF97. The validity field extends over to temperatures T between 0ºC and 800°C, for pressures p up to 100 MPa. Temperature T, specific volume v, specific enthalpy h, specific entropy s, specific heat at constant pressure cp and constant volume cv, besides saturation pressure ps, are calculated having a pair of known input values (p,T), (p,h) or (p,s). A comparative analysis between the IAPWS-IF97 routines and others, based on foregoing propositions, from an application on Rankine cycle, is made. IAPWS-IF97 has proved to be more precise, mainly because it accounts for the region of compressed liquid, besides requiring less processing time. The development is carried out as FORTRAN90 subroutines and functions and is available for public use according to a General Public License.

This study objectives were to investigate the track of shark trade from Bali Province, the exports volume of shark trade during 2015-2016, the length of sharks; species exported in the ETP category; and the effectiveness of shark trade license by BPSPL Denpasar based on EAFM analysis. This study used exploration method with questionnaires, interviews and secondary data from BPSPL Denpasar. The results showed that the track of shark trade started from when the shark is caught by the fishermen which purchased by exporter companies, then they had to get shipment recommendation letter from BPSPL Denpasar and fish health certificate from BKIPM Class I Denpasar, then sharks was brought to I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport for final check and ready to be exported to the destination country. During 2015-2016 there were 559 sharks from the species of Carcharhinus melanopterus, Triaenodon obesus, Orectolobus maculatus, Atelomycterus marmoratus, Chiloscyllium plagiosum and Halaelurus maculosus that have been exported to the 12 destination countries. The EAFM analysis of lengths indicated that the shark's size was at a very young until adult age. Meanwhile, the EAFM analysis of ETP species shows there were 4 shark types of Near Threatened, 1 type of Least Concern status and 1 type of Not Evaluated. Finally the result of EAFM analysis on the effectiveness of shark trade license by BPSPL Denpasar showed that the decision was well executed and run effectively, and so far the shark fishery management at Bali Province is applied successfully.

The emerging technique of serial X-ray diffraction, in which diffraction data are collected from samples flowing across a pulsed X-ray source at repetition rates of 100 Hz or higher, has necessitated the development of new software in order to handle the large data volumes produced. Sorting of data according to different criteria and rapid filtering of events to retain only diffraction patterns of interest results in significant reductions in data volume, thereby simplifying subsequent data analysis and management tasks. Meanwhile the generation of reduced data in the form of virtual powder patterns, radial stacks, histograms and other meta data creates data set summaries for analysis and overall experiment evaluation. Rapid data reduction early in the analysis pipeline is proving to be an essential first step in serial imaging experiments, prompting the authors to make the tool described in this article available to the general community. Originally developed for experiments at X-ray free-electron lasers, the software is based on a modular facility-independent library to promote portability between different experiments and is available under version 3 or later of the GNU General Public License.
