Air traffic disruptions result in flight delays, cancellations, passenger misconnections, and ultimately high costs to aviation stakeholders. This paper proposes a jointly reactive and proactive approach to airline disruption management, which optimizes recovery decisions in response to realized disruptions and in anticipation of future disruptions. The approach forecasts future disruptions partially and probabilistically by estimating systemic delays at hub airports (and the uncertainty thereof) and ignoring other contingent disruptions. It formulates a dynamic stochastic integer programming framework to minimize network-wide expected disruption recovery costs. Specifically, our Stochastic Reactive and Proactive Disruption Management (SRPDM) model combines a stochastic queuing model of airport congestion, a flight planning tool from Boeing/Jeppesen and an integer programming model of airline disruption recovery. We develop a solution procedure based on look-ahead approximation and sample average approximation, which enables the model’s implementation in short computational times. Experimental results show that leveraging even partial and probabilistic estimates of future disruptions can reduce expected recovery costs by 1%–2%, as compared with a myopic baseline approach based on realized disruptions alone. These benefits are mainly driven by the deliberate introduction of departure holds to reduce expected fuel costs, flight cancellations, and aircraft swaps.

Purpose This study aims to investigate the influence of supply chain (SC) complexity on the effectiveness of resilience capabilities in mitigating SC disruptions. Hypotheses about direct and moderating influences of complexity on resilience capabilities and performance change after disruption are built and quantitatively tested. Design/methodology/approach Partial least square-based structural equation modelling with formative constructs was used as an overall approach. Secondary data on SC disruptions, related performance change and resilience practices were collected from multiple sources through a predefined procedure. The collected data were systematically encoded prior to performing statistical analysis. Findings SC structural complexity is found to have a significant positive relation with performance improvement after disruption, along with resilience capability; it also positively moderates the resilience–performance link. Research limitations/implications The SC complexity factors the authors considered in this study do not include dynamic forms because of the nature of data collected. Future research may attempt to include and test whether the results of this study also hold when additional complexity parameters are taken into account. Practical implications Managers are often trying to reduce SC complexity. This study implies that some level of complexity is beneficial also for a better recovery of operational performance affected because of disruption. Resilience capabilities become more effective when leveraged on complexity in the SC. Originality/value This is the first study to empirically investigate the influence of SC complexity on the resilience–performance link.

Abstract In a learning health system, the system’s own data and the experiences of its workforce are integrated with external evidence to provide better care. In an age-friendly health system, core principles of age-friendly care are integrated into every point in the system. Disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, and the innovations that addressed them, present an opportunity to discuss how these two frameworks may be combined and leveraged to transform care for older adults. We will present examples of pandemic-related disruptions, including rapid changes in how patients and providers move within and between facilities and the significant toll on healthcare workers’ mental health. We will also highlight innovative solutions to these disruptions that could transform healthcare systems. Critical to these points is a discussion of how these disruptions have disproportionately impacted healthcare workers and patients of color and how the innovations must be implemented using an anti-racist, health equity lens.

PurposeWith more than half of customer-experienced disruptions attributed to first-tier suppliers, supplier resilience (SRES) is fundamental to the resilience of the supply chain. However, little is known about the relational aspects that engender SRES, from the purview of the supplier. The purpose of this paper is to examine the explanatory role of suppliers’ relationship commitment dimensions (i.e. affective and continuance), which may foster SRES through customer benevolence. Moreover, the impact of customer benevolence on SRES is examined considering varying levels of industry dynamism.Design/methodology/approachSurvey data from 207 manufacturing firms are utilized to test the hypotheses taking potential endogeneity issues into consideration.FindingsAffective and continuance commitment induce customer benevolence, which furthers SRES. Specifically, affective commitment is the most potent approach to induce customer benevolence, while the dampening effect of industry dynamism is more palpable at the higher levels of industry dynamism.Research limitations/implicationsThis study did not account for specific disruption types and the contingent effects of power asymmetry.Practical implicationsThis study empirically demonstrates that suppliers can leverage customer benevolence via relationship commitment to achieve SRES. However, the efficacy of customer benevolence to engender SRES is limited to environments not characterized by high levels of industry dynamism.Originality/valueThis paper highlights the role of relational mechanisms in achieving resilience from the purview of a supplier using survey data.

Purpose The survival and growth of organizations presently depend on managing processes and capabilities to effectively use large volumes of data from different sources to assist organizations’ strategic and operational goals. This paper aims to test the relationship between organizational analytical capabilities (OAC), the performance results in organizational resilience (OR) and the business process management maturity (BPMM). Design/methodology/approach Based on a survey of companies operating in the state of Espírito Santo, Brazil, a conceptual model was proposed and tested using the partial least squares algorithm. Findings The results confirm the proposed theoretical hypotheses that OAC and BPMM positively impact OR. In addition, the results show that OAC exert a moderating effect on the relationship between BPMM and OR. Practical implications It is understood that stimulating the practice of data and information analysis in the organizational routine translates into a relevant managerial behavior, as this attitude leverages the knowledge development and understanding about how to manage unexpected risk events, enabling companies to assess their ability to react to disruptions, even in terms of operational failures.

Plasma membrane repair is an essential cellular mechanism that reseals membrane disruptions after a variety of insults, and compromised repair capacity can contribute to the progression of many diseases. Neurodegenerative diseases are marked by membrane damage from many sources, reduced membrane integrity, elevated intracellular calcium concentrations, enhanced reactive oxygen species production, mitochondrial dysfunction, and widespread neuronal death. While the toxic intracellular effects of these changes in cellular physiology have been defined, the specific mechanism of neuronal death in certain neurodegenerative diseases remains unclear. An abundance of recent evidence indicates that neuronal membrane damage and pore formation in the membrane are key contributors to neurodegenerative disease pathogenesis. In this review, we have outlined evidence supporting the hypothesis that membrane damage is a contributor to neurodegenerative diseases and that therapeutically enhancing membrane repair can potentially combat neuronal death.

PurposeDrawing on the transactional cost economics (TCE) perspective, we aim to investigate the effects of the balance and imbalance between contractual and relational governance on a firm's bridging responses to supply chain disruptions. By adopting the institutionally contingent perspective, we further examine the moderating effect of cultural distance on the relationship between governance mechanisms and bridging responses.Design/methodology/approachBased on data collected from 183 firms in China, we use polynomial regression and response surface analyses to test our research model.FindingsThe bridging responses increase along with an increasing balance level between contractual and relational governance and decrease along with an increasing imbalance level between contractual and relational governance. Moreover, the positive effect of balance between contractual and relational governance is strengthened by a large cultural distance. We also find that a large cultural distance amplifies the negative effect of the combination of high relational governance and low contractual governance yet weakens that of the combination of high contractual governance and low relational governance.Originality/valueOur study provides nuanced insights into the effects of the balance and imbalance between contractual and relational governance on bridging responses and into the cultural boundary conditions under which these effects vary.

Investing in human capital through interventions in nutrition, health, and education is critical for achieving sustainable inclusive growth. However, despite many public interventions, India’s human capital indicators remain low, and have likely worsened from the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. There are also significant inter-State disparities. India’s human capital interventions have been marked by growing centralisation, not just by the Centre vis-à-vis the States, but also by the States vis-à-vis local governments, that form the third tier in India’s federal structure. This growing centralisation may have misaligned incentives with respect to accountability and effective delivery of public services. Drawing from international best practices and an analysis of the constitutional scheme, a more decentralised and targeted approach within the contours of India’s federal structure may be the best way to build civil society engagement, address failures in accountability, and ultimately, improve India’s human capital outcomes.

The coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) has had multilevel effects on non-COVID-19 health and health care, including deferral of routine cancer prevention and screening and delays in surgical and other procedures. Health and health care use has also been affected by pandemic-related loss of employer-based health insurance, food and housing disruptions, and heightened stress, sleep disruptions and social isolation. These disruptions are projected to contribute to excess non-COVID-19 deaths over the coming decades. At the same time municipalities, health systems and individuals are making changes in response to the pandemic, including modifications in the environmental to promote health, implementation of telehealth platforms, and shifts towards greater self-care and using remote platforms to maintain social connections. We used a multi-level biopsychosocial model to examine the available literature on the relationship between COVID-19-related changes and breast cancer prevention to identify current gaps in knowledge and identify potential opportunities for future research. We found that COVID-19 has impacted several aspects of social and economic life, through a variety of mechanisms, including unemployment, changes in health care delivery, changes in eating and activity, and changes in mental health. Some of these changes should be reduced, while others should be explored and enhanced.

This study investigates the joint water–power system resilience of an irrigation district in southeastern Idaho. Irrigation districts face difficulties in the delivery of water to farmers under drought conditions, during equipment failures, or unplanned infrastructure disruptions. The resilience of interconnected water and power systems can be better analyzed and understood through an integrated approach, using a model that connects the dependencies between the two halves of the system. Using a multi-agent system model capturing both water and power system components, as well as their linkages, we capture the interdependencies of these systems and highlight opportunities for improvement when faced with disruptions. Through simulation scenarios, we examine the system resilience using system performance, quantified as the percentage of met demand of the power and water system, when subjected to drought water year, an unforeseen water demand increase, power outage and dam failure. Scenario results indicate that the effects of low flow years are mostly felt in the power system; unexpected increases in water demand marginally impact irrigation system performance; dams and pumps present vulnerabilities of the system, causing substantial unmet demand during disruptions. Noting the interdependencies between the water–power system halves while leveraging an integrated simulation allows for an insightful analysis of the system impacts during disruptions.

Blockchain technology is slowly making its way from buzz to adoption. Organizations are moving from the experimental/proof-of-concept stage to using the technology for certain business operations, which will likely be followed by more large-scale commercial adaptations as the technology matures and knowledge grows. Business process innovation will be a crucial driver of this transformation, and it is likely to disrupt the way services are delivered in a good way. This process of adopting blockchain is marked by significant collaboration across all value chain actors, in contrast to the conventional approach, in which firms were known to compete with one another - where secrecy was the rule when it came to technology selection, launch plans, and even business strategies. Financial institutions, conventional technology corporations, fintech businesses, as well as regulators and governmental agencies, are all working together. To drive digital transformation of their organizations, companies will need to leverage the correct IT, infrastructure, and tools, as well as subject expertise and cooperation. This research throws light on the use of blockchain technology in different areas. Here I have tried to examine different cases in various domains where the implementation of Blockchain technology can help in reducing costs and increase ROI. These cases come from clients who are facing challenges in their regular work and want convert the challenges into opportunities and be market leaders. This research is to study and analyze various case studies and suggest possible use of Blockchain to bring change and increase customer satisfaction. The research will also help TCS to harness the Blockchain technology and enhance skills of their workforce. Since Blockchain will keep influencing different sectors, it has become very prominent that companies need to bring about changes in their current functioning and channelize their resources to find out ways of using Blockchain technology.

Crowdsourcing is a relatively new concept and therefore recent literature primarily focusses on the definition of the term and the analysis of the concept per se. However business models that make use of crowdsourcing emerged rapidly during the last years and sometimes were able to completely reshape whole industries with their innovative concept. Thus it is important to consider what exactly the key success factors for those business models are and what differentiates the successful from the unsuccessful concepts. This thesis first defines the term crowdsourcing and subsequently tries to use recent academic literature to explain how crowdsourcing can be strategically integrated in a business model. In this process common problems that are mentioned regarding business models that make use of crowdsourcing are elaborated. In the end of the literature review six questions regarding possible key success factors emerge. To approve or disapprove those six success factors and potentially find further success factors a case study analysis is conducted. Within this case study analysis two successful and two failed examples of business models that make use of crowdsourcing are analyzed. The Osterwalder Business Canvas is used to analyze the individual business models of Threadless, iStockphoto, CrowdSpirit and Cambrian House. In the end of the case example analysis three hypothesis regarding the key success factors of business models that make use of crowdsourcing are formulated. The findings of this thesis propose that a multi-sided platform approach is more likely to succeed than other types of business models that make use of crowdsourcing (H1). Additionally the relevance of the feelings of the crowd during the crowdsourcing process is emphasized, as they should experience feelings of fun and enjoyment (H2). Also the reward system for the crowd is discussed and it is suggested that a business models that makes use of pyramid-shaped reward system that takes into account the individual contribution of each individual crowd member is more likely to be successful (H3).

AbstractThe rapid and global aging of population is outlining the need for environments that can provide support for these individuals during their daily activities. The challenge of an aging society is being addressed through the incorporation of new technologies into the home environment, which is nothing less than Ambient Assisted Living (AAL). To date, some of the AAL solutions exploit AI models to recognize the elderly’s behaviors through data collected by sensors. In recent times, Digital Twins (DTs) at building level have begun to appear on the construction domain. These are still under development but through the integration of users into assessments, they improve efficiency, prevention, and prediction of likely events through real-time AI computing. The integration of DT and AAL defines cognitive buildings which aim to learn at scale, reason with a purpose, and co-operate with users in a natural way. This research aims to develop DT models to achieve scenario awareness to provide support to elderly people living alone and suffering from cognitive disorders. The proposed multi-agent architecture is based on a five-layer system that autonomously develops high-level knowledge to detect anomalies in the home environment scenarios and therefore support the user. Bayesian networks (BNs) are exploited to perform high-level deductive reasoning on low-level multi-modal information, thus recognizing senseless or dangerous behaviors, environmental disruptions, changes in behavioral patterns, and serious medical events. Bi-directional user-system interaction provides user support by leveraging Speech-To-Text and Text-To-Speech AI agents. Three main functions were tested: real-time data integration, anomaly detection, and two-way interaction.

The impact of identity on brand loyalty has taken precedence as an area of focus in recent marketing research. This has occurred in an era defined by technological revolution, which has created market disruptions, and there are implications for customer-brand relationships. Nonetheless, existing research has failed to acknowledge the impact of socio-psychological attributes and functional utility maximization. Knowledge that illuminates how firms can reposition themselves to sustain brand loyalty when disruptions occur in today's complex and globalized business environment is also required. The chapter presents an empirical investigation into the phenomenon of brand switching behavior among consumers in a specific competitive market, particularly in the smartphone industry. It explores how resistance could be built from an identity theory perspective, as emphasis has historically been placed on the functional utility of products at the expense of social meanings. This chapter provides consideration for market disruptions in the smartphone industry. It confirms that the literature does not capture other non-utilitarian factors such as socio-psychological benefits; hence, there are underlying factors that motivate consumers to continue buying brands they buy.

Students today are the workers and leaders of tomorrow. It is, therefore, essential to future-proof education against serious disruptions to ensure continued socioeconomic development in the world. The distant learning format is, as yet, largely uncharted in several parts of the world. But it is set to revolutionize teaching and learning in the years to come. By leveraging the pandemic circumstances that disrupted in-person, face-to-face instruction, the author recommends a set of fundamental solutions to bring the complexities of STEM learning back on course. Redefining the strategy to render education remotely, effectively, and at scale, he emphasizes the need for a transformative initiative to improve teaching objectives and learning outcomes. The focus, he believes, should be an integrated approach for a comprehensive experience through the use of immersive technologies, including augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and the metaverse.

As manufacturing industry seeks different strategies and technologies to respond to the ever-increasing demands in markets that prioritize versatility of products with low-volume productions, certain technologies and strategies gain more attraction and form higher acceptance levels among different sectors. Individual firms are driven by their market requirements. Various factors including product specification, assembly sequence, and manufacturing operations are central to the decisions that are made with respect to the type of technology to respond to market dynamics. Additive Manufacturing (AM) is one of the technology alternatives that has exhibited remarkable strengths in countering market disruptions. Although AM can be utilized along conventional technologies (i.e., subtracting and forming) in a hybrid context to combine advantages and offset weaknesses of each category, the arguments supporting its applications would need to be formulated rigorously to ensure investments are rightfully justified. Another alternative continuously investigated by companies is automation and more specifically, using robotics for various purposes e.g., operations like welding and painting, material handling, machine tending, etc. Both industrial robots and the applications that require a collaboration between humans and robots can be valid in this context. Considering advancements in AM and Automation and their potentials in increasing flexibility, expediting operations, and leveraging cost advantages, this paper explores how AM and automation in tandem could improve flexibility in productions. Results of this study can be used for proposing a conceptual model which will be further developed and then tested on industrial cases in future studies. While this study incorporates raw data about processing requirements in production that has been obtained via interviews with industrial companies, inputs about the technologies i.e., AM and robotics are derived from literature.

This paper demonstrates the leveraging of technology to build resilience in educational systems to ensure learning continuity during disruptions due to pandemics or natural disasters. The paper describes how resilience is achieved through the implementation of the National University of Samoa (NUS) Moodle workplan for transitioning to the new normal of online learning when Samoa went into voluntary lockdown, in response to the threat of Covid-19. Previously, NUS conducted most of its courses in face-to-face (F2F) mode with some courses using blended delivery or blended mode of learning. But in early 2020, with the emergence of Covid-19, and the sudden lockdown of the whole country, it was crucial that NUS transition all its courses to online mode and hosted in Moodle, the university’s Learner Management system. Key factors determining the scope of this implementation were: i) access to devices, ii) access to the Internet, iii) sufficient bandwidth to ensure uninterrupted and reasonably fast access to Moodle, iv) sufficient processor power of servers to handle the volume of processing iv) the number of simultaneous users on Moodle, vi) skill level of staff and students to use Moodle. The paper discusses the implementation details of this transitioning to online such as the conversion of courses to digital and uploading to Moodle, training of staff on the use of Moodle, and upgrading infrastructure. Challenges and issues encountered in this implementation which include access, bandwidth and congestion, and learner engagement, are also discussed as well as a set of recommendations to build resilience and ensure teaching and learning continuity in future lockdowns.

Abstract With the continuous production from Kuwait oil reservoirs, a clear decline in reservoir pressure is observed. Subsequently, the demand for artificial lift is increasing to sustain production. Maintenance of those wells requires frequent interventions and continuous presence of workover rigs, which affects overall cost of production. Change of the electrical submersible pump (ESP) deployment method represents one of the cost reduction initiatives undertaken by the operator to reduce well intervention time and improve asset utilization. To minimize deferred production generated by the ESP replacement operation, a novel rigless approach leveraging coiled tubing (CT) was introduced in southeast and west Kuwait. It reduces operating costs and eliminates disruptions to operations by enabling rigless retrieval and redeployment of a standard ESP assembly. To evaluate the efficiency of using CT as rigless ESP retrieval and conveyance method, two candidate wells were selected to recover and redeploy a 108-ft-long ESP system. The intervention methodology relied on CT equipped with optical line and real-time downhole telemetry, a high-pressure rotary jetting tool, and a specific ESP deployment assembly. The retrieval and redeployment of the ESP was executed in a single rigless intervention, averaging less than 72 hours of operational time per well. This represents five times improvement over the standard practice using a workover rig. The intervention was executed in several stages, according to the well intervention program, and included tubing drift and cleanout runs, retrieval, inspection, and redress of the ESP assembly, followed by its successful redeployment. The high-pressure rotary jetting tool was used to condition the wellbore tubulars across the fishing area, while downhole real-time data enabled by the 1 3/4-in. CT equipped with optical telemetry were instrumental to eliminate uncertainties associated with changing downhole conditions. The casing collar locator allowed live depth control and ensured accurate positioning of the ESP. Its careful retrieval and redeployment were monitored thanks to the downhole axial force readings, which allowed controlling the weight applied on the fishing assembly. Internal and external downhole pressure data, along with downhole temperature, helped in controlling actuation and use of the high-pressure rotary jetting nozzle under nominal conditions for maximum efficiency. This enhanced rigless ESP replacement technique, made possible by the joint use of CT and real-time downhole measurements, was confirmed as a robust workover method for retrieval and redeployment of rigless ESPs in southeast and west Kuwait. The experience gained in the first two wells brings a new level of confidence to Kuwait operators about this technique, which certainly can be expanded to other fields in the Middle East and elsewhere.

It is a well-known fact that innovative e-learning concepts have pushed IT technologies to new levels of development or, reciprocally, innovative or even disrupting technologies have opened new possibilities for elearning. There are many examples of IT technologies that contributed to new or improved learning paradigms and styles, such as social networks, mobile devices, augmented and virtual reality, MOOCs and distributed computing. Recently, several research works discuss how the blockchain concepts and technologies can be applied not only in cryptocurrency, but also on elearning and educational processes with an essential impact, e.g. de-centralization of resources, open learning, tokenization of elearning, authenticity and security of information and resources. The current research paper will address how blockchain can be utilized with microservice based architectures, based on similarities, to support the most modern trends in education, such as open learning communities. In the first part of the paper, the main concepts and mechanisms behind the blockchain technologies are reviewed and explained in comparison with concepts and characteristics of microservices, considered a similar architectural pattern. Blockchain relies on the existing algorithms (such as cryptography) and distributed computing to bring new concepts such as ledgers and smart contracts. Likewise, microservices have roots on Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Application Programming Interfaces (API). Microservices represent a new arhitectural pattern, to change the traditional way of software development resulting in "application monoliths" to a true modularization by means of composition of standalone software components (microservices), having well-defined functionality, securely exposed to other microservices or applications. In the second part, a software architecture leveraging blockchain smart contract and microservices to support open learning communities, unique identity, secure storage and retrieval of resources will be proposed and described.

During stepping into an era of rapidly changing world and constantly disruption, companies need to generate new value to unlock opportunities and drive the growth (Lee et al., 2009). Innovation is a key initiative for competitive advantage as the main driver of economic growth (Lopez, 2012). Nevertheless, as the environment changes, regulations evolve, new technologies emerge, and even consumer behavior changes, businesses may not have a clear picture of how they will survive or succeed. Companies should increase individuals' futures literacy capacities in order to strengthen firms' sensing dynamic capabilities (Rhisiart et al., 2015). UNESCO has addressed the urgent need to enhance people's capacities and skills by empowering everyone to better use the future to prepare for potential crises or overcome major challenges (UNESCO, 2021). However, there is no established approach for developing these competencies in service innovation. Therefore, we aim to enhance individuals ability by cultivating future literacy, which is a basis of human skill for future service design (Bell, 2009; Miller, 2018).Kononiuk et al. (2021) stated a future study by providing tools to facilitate futures thinking, including trend and scenario analysis. Rohrbeck (2011) listed future-oriented capabilities as the ability to gather external data, and apply creativity to find opportunities and take risks. Therefore, we believe that the global and business scanning, such as megatrend, technology trends or research direction through intellectual property, will be an essential part of enhancing future literacy. Technology trends alone usually cannot cover all organizational scenarios (Lee, 2013). Predicting the future requires not just recognizing and assessing opportunities, but also taking into account potential risks (Morris et al., 2013; Dannenberg and Grapentin, 2016; Haarhaus & Liening, 2020). In addition to considering the potential and impacts of technology breakthroughs, the climate change also influences business and financial decisions (TCFD, 2021). Unexpected business losses may caused by climate-related economic costs, such as rising global temperatures or natural disasters. Firms will be better able to take responsibility and foresight if they are aware of the challenges (TCFD, 2020). Based on the background, we developed knowledge-based service innovation workshop. We have presented megatrend, technology trends and relevant patent information to demonstrate the likelihood of technological advancement. As a reference for comprehending possible scenarios, we also present probable climate-related economic costs. Then, leveraging the future vision as a starting point to generate innovative ideas. This paper discusses the success of promoting future literacy for corporate innovation with the knowledge-based service innovation workshop. We conducted an idea generating workshop for employees at various levels to help them in developing innovative ideas for both internal and external environments. We developed our brainstorming workshop in conjunction with providing of megatrend, technology trends, business-related intellectual property, and trustworthy climate-related financial information. It also considers employee feedback on how to motivate creativity through the provision of future opportunities. The outcomes of this study will contribute to the enhance human resource competencies in order to cope with the future, which will lead to sustainable service innovation development.

Disruptive innovators take advantage of unique opportunities. Prior to COVID-19 progress in Latin America and the Caribbean for integrating technology, learning, and system change has been exceedingly slow. In this paper we first offer a general framework for transforming education. The framework focuses on the provision of technology, innovative ideas in learning and well-being, and what we call systemness which are favorable change factors at the local, middle/regional, and policy levels. We then take up the matter of system reform in Latin America and the Caribbean noting problems and potential. Then, we turn to a specific model in system change that we have developed called New Pedagogies for Deep Learning, a model developed in partnerships with groups of schools in ten countries since 2014. The model consists of three main components: 6 Global Competences (character, citizenship, collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking), 4 learning elements (pedagogy, learning partnerships, learning environments, leveraging digital), and three system conditions (school culture, district/regional culture, and system policy). We offer a case study of relative success based on Uruguay with whom we have been working since 2014. Finally, we identify steps and recommendations for next steps in Latin America for taking action on system reform in the next perioda time that we consider critical for taking advantage of the current pandemic disruption. The next few years will be crucial for either attaining positive breakthroughs or slipping backwards into a reinforced status quo.
