The purpose of this doctoral research-creation in arts is to highlight urban artistic practices in aparticular way, whether commissioned or not, and to develop a field of knowledge on the way inwhich they instruct a mode of interaction —between use, appropriation and sharing—with publicspaces and their users. Starting from my artistic journey, I will propose an analysis of artisticpractices of urban intervetion, in order to identify their perspectives, in conversation andcollaboration with this community of artists and actors, mirroring the emergence of street art as anacademic research field. From the analysis of five narratives of artistic experiences, this researchleads to and participates in a redefinition of the role of the street artist, pointing out their quality ofintermediary agent—at the same time creator, interventionist and researcher— likely toaccompany urbanistic and social transformations

Повний текст джерелаThis study comprises terminological and terminographic research into the field of human and social sciences. The starting point is that of work sociology, moving on to look at the other social and human disciplines, with work being the object of the study. This research has been carried out in a perspective of compared terminology that focuses on two latin languages: portuguese and franc. It is organised in two sections: a presentation of a terminological analysis model, and a reflection upon the theories and practices of linguistic studies on spacial languages. This work is subdivided into eight chapters. The first chapter is a reflection upon the genesis and status of terminology within language sciences, upon the existing terminological paradigm and upon the need for terminological studies based on a linguistic approach to texts and or specialised discourse in different languages. The second chapter is devoted to the approach to the field which is the object of this research-human and social work sciences-based on two simultaneous types of structuring : diachronic and multi-domain. The third chapter sets out the therorico-methodological orientations underlying this study and stresses the consideration of linguistic and discursive matters in terminologies, of the historicity of terms and notions, of the interdisciplinarianism and mobility of knowledge and social contexts within scientific production. The proposed mode of terminological analysis is the subject of reflection of the four following chapters. It is based on the "classic" levels of linguistic analysis, which are the morphological, semantic, syntactical and pragmatic levels

Повний текст джерелаThis work focuses on two issues: the first concerns mediation analysis and the second concerns dating in archaeology in the presence of outliers. Concerning the mediation analysis, I have developed a non-parametric approach to test the existence of direct effect in binary response causal mediation. Second, prior distributions are compared in Bayesian inference for causal mediation with binary response. Third, the B-priors are adapted to mediation models from psychological research and a moderation test based on the Bayes factor is proposed. Concerning dating in archaeology, a methodology is developed to estimate ages in the presence of outliers. This is based on an existing Bayesian model (Event Model) from which an outlier detection test is developed. This methodology is applied in the combination of measurements and in the estimation of an OSL age (Optically Stimulated Luminescence)

Повний текст джерелаThe internal development of the man's sciences poses ethic problems there where the positive-scientific methodology can but find epistemological questions. The sciences character of representing objects, the "phenomenal-technical" methodology and the use of mathematics become domains of ideological infiltration into the man's sciences. The interpretation of results leads them to the field of ethics and politics, even if these results are obtained with a method which is "neuter" at beginning. Therefore the developing of new methodological techniques exacts the deepening of critical views from the researcher; in the same way, the justification of the existence of these sciences should be based upon the choice of maintaining the validity of the values giving meaning to the previous concepts that are the subject matter of a methodological elaboration to become scientific

Повний текст джерелаEntrepreneurship in social sciences is an object with blurred boundaries. One can group a number of economic activities known as sociological engineering, urban engineering, and for their members, consultant, public historian, ethnologist-consultant, professional sociologist... This thesis studies the process of economic activities in disciplines where it’s not usually expected: history, geography, sociology and ethnology. We analyze the evolution of the role of these economic activities according to historical contexts and the tensions which rise about them in the different disciplines. We also seek to identify structures and people in crossing various documentary sources (INSEE files, professional directories, online data research). Finally, using biographical interviews (62 to 50 cases of companies), we study the entrepreneurial process and their anchorages in entrepreneur life courses, social milieus, social networks and devices. Networks and devices appear to be the basis for entry into entrepreneurship, as means to access to various kinds of resources and as ways of coordination within economic markets. In an unstructured environment by professional institutions, personal relationships play a central role in the establishment of structures, in the activities and in the coordination between customers and entrepreneurs

Повний текст джерелаGradually, digital technologies are becoming more important in research on sociocultural phenomena. Equipment projects are developing in all the social sciences and the humanities (SSH) and movements advocating an instrumental revolution are multiplying. This thesis proposes to question the advent of a digitally equipped research in the SSH on the basis of a general reflection on the links between science, technology and writing. What are the epistemological and political issues that underlie these digital instrumentation logics as they institute new writing techniques at the heart of research practices? The thesis is composed of three main parts. The first part questions the fundamental relationships between technical instruments and scientific knowledge. It is also about estimating the specificities of a communication approach to scientific instrumentation. The second part proposes a critical exploration of the discourses that accompany these transformations by focusing on projects from two major currents in the field of digitally equipped research in the SSH: the "digital humanities" and the "digital methods". What promises, what "imaginaires", what representations of science do these research practices renewal projects by digital technology contain? But also what "epistemological obstacles" do they encounter? Based on a theory of digital writing, and on a techno-semiotic analysis approach, the thir part questions the forms and powers of the digital instrumentation. On a morphological level, what do the design and implementation of such instruments consist of? On a political level, what are the normative effects of these "dispositifs" on the epistemology of the disciplines that seize them?

Повний текст джерелаThe problematic of this thesis is based on a paradox : the partnerships between the world of research and the world of enterprise can be analysed at once as an economic exchange, materialized into negotiation of contracts, and as an scientific exchange, seeing that researchs are valued by the scientific community in reference to a truth which is above the firm context. Is it yet possible to consider that the exchange's protagonists act in the same time in their private interests (money, recognition, credibility,. . . ), and in the science interest, according to a reality which is external for them (the scientific reality) ? considering the recent sociological theories of constructivism, i've formulated the hypothesis of a plural truth, in which economic rationality and scientific rationality coexist. But the transfers of objects (physicals or research objects) between groups which have different interests involve a lot of problems. To observe this transfers, we've choosen to realize two monographs. The first one describes a partnership which is aimed at conceiving a self-training software. At a union instigation, contracts of financing have been concluded with pirttem-cnrs and taskforce (eec). The second one describes the creation of the model + trees of knowledges ; (mission serres, 1991), and the product of the skills management's software which was formerly developped (gingo, trivium sa). Among the factors which have contributed to the formation and modification of the planningnetworks, the individual evaluation is the most determining point for the confidence relation between firms and research. From the evaluation's criterions, it's possible to distinguish the scientists from the other experts which are available on the market. Eventualy, i've shown that this relation can also go through the mediation of objects : softwares, books, reviews,. . . It's certainly the most frequent situation. In that case, a translating process allow the relation to be

Повний текст джерелаNowadays networks are becoming more and more common subjects of study in many fields: from online social networks to criminal networks and linked collections of documents. Among these networks, a particular type of network, called "multi-layer networks", are composed of several sets of elements of distinct types ("the layers"). These objects are commonly encountered in the humanities and social sciences research fields but can be difficult to exploit because of their semantic complexity. To this end, we present M-QuBEEE, a method to explore multi-layer networks by successive and evolutive subnetwork extractions. Specifically adapted to the methodology of experts in the human and social sciences, M-QuBEEE determines the pertinence of each element of the network in order to propose a partial view relevant to the users. Users can then continue to interact iteratively on these sub-networks to improve their views or explore new directions

Повний текст джерелаDigital tools have profoundly modified our writing and reading practices. Yet the influence that these new practices exert on content and on the structuring of our thinking has to be determined. This thesis falls within this field of investigation and questions the production of knowledge in the digital age: has scientific knowledge changed along the transformation of its production and distribution means? I will deal with this subject through the prism of the scholarly journal in the humanities, whose epistemological model, still attached to the paper medium, is profoundly questioned by the digital age in its technical as well as cultural dimension. I hypothesize that the modalities of writing in a digital environment are an opportunity to revive the ideals of scientific conversation that presided over the invention of journals in the 17th century. The thesis proposes a reflection in three stages, articulated around three conceptions of the journal : the journal as a format, as a space and, as I propose and conceptualize it, as a collective. One of the challenges of this thesis is to highlight the collective dynamics of appropriation and legitimation. In this sense, the purpose of the journal is perhaps less the production of documents than the editorialisation of a conversation that brings the collective to life. From a methodological point of view, this thesis is the result of a practice-based research anchored in a series of case studies and editorial experiments that I have been able to carry out as a researcher on the one hand, and as an editor-practitioner on the other

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis aims to explore the situation in which social scientists testify as expert witnesses in courts of law. Drawing on a study of five trials that took place in different countries and involved various disciplines, it shows that a proper understanding of social scientists’ role in this context requires a careful examination of their epistemological positionings, i.e. how they relied on references, concepts, and arguments which are part of a set of recurring debates on fundamental issues in the social sciences. This thesis shows that how social scientists take a side on these debates in court chiefly depend on the social interest to which they swear allegiance. However, their deployment of epistemological representations also hinges on the type of implication of the expert, the legal norms that regulate their testimony, previous positionings and the discipline of the expert. Taking part to a research project on the sociology of epistemology, this thesis aims to contribute to a better understanding of the reasons that lead us to adopt certain assumptions in the comprehension of social life and the practical consequences they may have

Повний текст джерелаThe forms and the stakes of the sociability in research teams of Human and Social Sciences (HSS) are complex questions. To study this sociability under the angle of the Sciences of Information and the Communication (anthropology of communication, ethnography of laboratory) by means of fields investigations (observations, comprehensive interviews) and sciences of management, with the central notion of coopetition stemming from the business world, allows one to redefine the sociability in research as « coopetitive convivialism ». This work attemps to specify what characterizes the universe of research, and particularly the research in HSS. It emerges from this work that if competition and cooperation work together, conviviality, as communication’s behavior and global climate of interactions, constitutes a specificity of scientific circles. Therfore, three forms of coopetitive convivialism are introduced in this thesis : the first one being an « inclusive convivialism » with a strong link between people in the senior laboratories, a « mimetic convivialism » in the junior laboratories witch are looking for their identity between preservation and innovation, and finally a « convergent convivialism » in the senior interdisciplinary institutes. The criterion of generation (senior / junior) and the study of systems of powers via three types of leaderships (scientific, administrative, popularization) according to contexts (history of science) allows to reveal the mutation of researcher's role witch is more and more engaged in an respectuous relation with society. The stakes of this subject concern the academic training, the valuation of the job, and the stakes of services provided. Consequently, they show that Research is evolving fast

First we have try to replace firms capable of receiving them in the social, economic, political and also geographical context in hich they are. Consequently, in spite of collective conventions and other measuremnts in favour of employment, we were able to notice that firms pratices are not senseless when they sign on. Sometimes they belong to the realm of affective. In any case, these pratices change according to the origin of the firm's capital. Thereby, we can affirm that profesional insertion is also under the influence of sociocultural relational and psychological factors. In the second place, through conversation with students graduated from letters and social sciences, we were able to judge the incidence of several type of factors and distinguish some itineraries of insertion. The analysis of biographies they obtained, reveals that profesional insertion can be made as well on criterion of adherence to a group as to campetence while integrating the given informations on environment. This new problematic implies the existence of an individual strategy and fittings facing the social, cultural and economic environment

Повний текст джерелаThe diffusion of digital technologies in research practices, as well as the socio-professional changes in the academic and editorial worlds at the beginning of the twenty-first century, have led to multiple destabilizations in the modes of investigation, writing and publishing involved in the publication activities of Humanities and Social Sciences researchers. Echoing these transformations, various experimental endeavours involving interdisciplinary collectives in the elaboration of novel publication formats have developed. These endeavours have been in dialogue and sometimes in friction with the norms, codes and shared habits that constituted their horizons of practice. In this context, this research focuses on the aesthetic, socio-technical, methodological and epistemological effects of the dialogue between conventional and experimental practices of publishing in the Human and Social Sciences. Through a design inquiry process articulating observation, writing and making through a series of derivations, this research aims at reconstituting the role of materiality in contemporary research collective formation

Повний текст джерелаThis dissertation studies research assessment in the Humanities and Social Sciences, in a French evaluation agency (AERES) created in 2007. Based on interviews, ethnographic observations and archives, it approaches the elaboration and the uses of evaluative instruments close to the actors who conceive and implement them. At the crossroad of public policy analysis, sociology of science and sociology of professions, I show that the definition of scientific “good practices” is manufactured through intra-professional alliances and conflicts, rather than it would reflect top down reforms imposed to the profession. Studying a routine activity in the academic world – the scientific assessment – in the critical moments when its rules are reshaped, allows apprehending the contemporary reforms that affect the scientific sector. If those reforms might erode the professional power, in the case I study, the scientists remain at the heart of the evaluative system. The AERES appears then as a microcosm where conflicts within the academic profession can be seized. The construction of the evaluative instruments is nourished by competing scientific knowledge, and those instruments might be abandoned when they become controversial in the profession. Hence, the position of the AERES with respect to the other academic institution has to be questioned, in order to understand under what conditions those instruments redefine the legitimate research and assessment practices

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis seeks to answer the following question: which are the determinants of the utilisation of Humanities and Social Sciences (‘HSS') knowledge in R&D projects? To answer this question, this dissertation articulates its conceptual framework around the concepts of utilisation, knowledge and ‘HSS'. It distinguishes three types of knowledge utilisation and establishes a typology of knowledge according to its scientific field. Using appropriate econometric approaches, the thesis seeks to analyze on the one hand, the determinants supporting or discouraging the utilisation of ‘HSS' knowledge in R&D projects and, on the other hand, those influencing the amount of R&D expenditures devoted to this utilisation. In addition to the low utilisation of ‘HSS' knowledge, the results show that the absorption capacity of knowledge determines the utilisation of ‘HSS' knowledge and the amount of R&D expenditures devoted to this utilisation

Повний текст джерелаIf some obstacles exist as far as French learning in Madagascar is concerned, they definitely do not originate from the opacity of the signifier since the French language was introduced in Madagascar more than one century ago. Thus, the problem of most Malagasy-speaking pupils and students does not only apply to linguistic system even though the competence in this level is often seen as an obvious gap. However, it could as well be related with culture which results from a complicated system of elements in interaction. This research is based on a survey conducted on the students in Faculté des Lettres et Sciences Humaines at the University of Antananarivo. The survey revealed, among other things, that the complex rapport which the learner has with school, with knowledge, with the present languages, with the set of values in societies, with the others, with the world in general, could, in the case, present itself as a factor which blocks or – on the contrary – as a factor which favours learning

We question the link between linguistic heterogeneity, social heterogeneity and university failure. Linguistic variation is studied at both scales: quantitative and qualitative. The qualitative one takes into account questions about otherness and communicative competence. We put forward the notion of "competence sociolangagière". In the second part, the diversity of students representations is measured. This analysis is based on the results of a survey conducted by questionnaires and the results of interviews. Once again, we questioned the variation dimension through the social characteristics of students. Our results allowed us to describe the nature of the link between linguistic heterogeneity, social heterogeneity, students representations and students faculty to succeed, fail or give up university at the end of the academic year

Повний текст джерелаHow is the idea of “interdisciplinarity” demonstrated and understood ? On the basis of a selection of academic journal articles from the human and social sciences, which provide an archival trace of the debate on this theme since the 1960s, we try to show how the conditions of emergence, the treatment and the implicit comprehensions of “interdisciplinarity” play an active role in the social construction of this idea. In line with past research in cognitive sociology, this thesis aims to analyze the social conditions behind this discursive production, but also the content and comprehension of the discourse itself. The mention “interdisciplinarity” in the texts is socially situated at different levels of observation. Apart from the fact that the networks constructed by the articles' authors and references seem to be historically and sociologically situated and articulated, the different ways of formulating the idea of “interdisciplinarity” and the explicit definitions which are given to this idea, refer to specific systems of pertinence. The expression and the definition of this idea appear under common frameworks or markers, with reference to specific intersubjectiv forces and issues. Some focus enable us to specify how the construction of the idea of “interdisciplinarity” is so strongly related to the social contexts of its emergence. The spatial organization of the linguistic operations in the texts shows that the discourses on this idea proceed from a fusion of the graphics and the discussions. The progression of the statements, taken as a sign of the reasoning around this idea, calls for an inscription in different registers of convenience. The pragmatic conditions of the discourse production and reception act not so much as sources, but rather as patterns for the activity of defining this idea. Finally, the archive or the chain of speech formed by the corpus presents itself like a reference for the construction of discourses on this idea. Since 2002, new innovating format solutions have tried to answer the issues encountered in digital processing of scientific digital publications. Scientific data needs to adapt to new ways of accessing knowledge and be standardized matching other globalization standards. Since the 1950's, various fields have been conducted critical thinking studies of the epistemological foundations on the discourse of Human and Social sciences. The use of new technologies comes along with a need to define the specific attributes of Human Sciences discourse. We are studying how the scientific communications practices have adapted with new writing, reading, referencing, editing, and disclosure practices. The digital document emergence brings the obligation to think over the content organization, structure, and method of implementation of the information in one single location to answer the needs of scientific thinking

Повний текст джерелаThe intellectual biography of François Picavet (1851-1921) is an opportunity to explore the early days of the history of mediaeval philosophy as an institutionalised discipline in France from 1880 to 1920. A forgotten figure of the study of mediaeval philosophy, Picavet was a lecturer at EPHE (Religious Sciences department) from 1888 and director of studies from 1907, secretary of the Collège de France in 1904 and lecturer in the history of mediaeval philosophy at the Arts Faculty of the Sorbonne from 1906 onwards. Picavet’s academic career took place within a particular context in which the history of mediaeval philosophy came to be established in a structured and stable manner in French higher education. Like other institutionalised disciplines, the history of mediaeval philosophy benefited from the need for deep-seated reform of the university system, which was expressed in political and scientific circles from around 1860 and continued under the Third Republic, resulting in the emergence of new institutional structures in French higher education (the foundation of EPHE in 1868 and the creation of new courses at the Sorbonne, including a history of mediaeval philosophy course in 1906). Picavet’s original historiography confines the significance of mediaeval philosophical questions, which remain bound to the historical context in which they originated: thus, every philosophical system is the partial expression of a given civilisation, just like the scientific, artistic and craft related expressions which it produces and which characterise it

Повний текст джерелаThe thesis examines action research from an epistemological and a methodological point of view. Kurt Lewin (1945) defined action research as "experimentation in real life setting" and R. N. Rapoport (1972) as "aiming to contribute both to the practical concerns of people in an immediate problematic situation and to the goals of social science". The thesis is divided in four parts. The first one describes the evolution of action research from 1945 to 1980. The second examines the legitimacy of action research as a research procedure which establishes scientific propositions. It shows that action research cannot be founded within a deterministic framework, and establishes that it can be justified within an epistemology that takes into account the most recent developments of physics; biology and social sciences. The third part describes the methodological problems of action research the conditions under which it becomes a real life experiment that validates hypothesis. It discusses the nature and the shape of the theoritical and practical knowledges that can be gained through action research. The fourth part is a case study of a four year long action research in an industrial setting. The conclusion examines the present limits of action research and the conditions for its future development

So, relationship between exact sciences and social sciences are a nodal line to understand how social sciences are sciences. Historical forms of the debate between sciences of the center and sciences of the periphery explain how the rationality of social sciences was built. Daily scientific acts show that the process of scientific rationality can be looked with the paradigm of center and periphery

Considering the differences in the control of education for sustainable development (ESD) in France and Chile and the more or less explicit place of the word sustainable development (SD) in the humanities and social sciences and natural sciences such two countries, this research attempts to identify how teachers and students, according to these disciplines, will represent the SD object. This is to highlight how their social representations (RS) reflected in the teaching-learning process of this socially controversial issue (QSV). To do this, we developed a methodological device that combines interviews and questionnaires for teachers. As for the students, this device is based entirely on questionnaires. Our results reveal the existence among teachers of both countries an RS SD fitted into that of a resource-environment. This representation would be more pronounced among Chilean teachers, thus generating a developmentalist perception in their understanding of SD issues. Although students of all classes share a RS rooted in the realization of eco-gestures, the developmentalist referred is also present among Chilean students. In light of our results, we believe that without a distancing in the construction of knowledge and spreading controversy, educational practices acquire a transmissive pace that does not promote understanding of the complex issues involved in implementing it global project

Повний текст джерелаThe complexity of the social world of young children requires researchers to develop integrative models that capture the multiplicity of relationships and their dynamics. If the studies conducted with different partners separately enlighten key aspects of development, they do not show the interconnections and interdependencies between the spheres of sociability (M. Lewis, 2005). The social network paradigm is one of the interesting models that try to go beyond the dyad as a matrix for the study of interpersonal relationships. Indeed, it allows to associate in a same space the significant others of the individual (Wallon, 1954). However, the researches on young children are few (Belle, 1989b). Through this work, we want to contribute to this highly heuristic perspective. We also want to support the interest of investigating young children's personal networks directly through children's reports about their perceptions of their relationships and the way they contribute to their development. Using a comprehensive approach, we interviewed 32 children (19 girls and 13 boys), between 4 and 5 years of age (M = 53. 38, σ = 3. 18), and their parents on children's social network. Parents were asked to complete a questionnaire in order to list the persons in the children's social network from their point of view. Children were met individually in a semi-directive interview. The aim was not only to determine the structural characteristics of networks, but also to examine individual figure(s)/function(s)' associations. The findings suggest that children develop personal networks that reflect their inclusion in various environments. These networks are different from those identified by parents. Children include more peers from school when parents prefer the adults of their own network. In addition, young children make some differentiations between persons in their social networks based on functions they fulfill. If parents are mentioned in all functions, other partners make a specific contribution. Thus, our study highlights the interest of the functional approach with young children. It also emphasizes their ability to participate directly in the studies that concern them

Повний текст джерелаThe disparity between activity sectors for engineers is as great as that between their vocational training programs. But the latter are characterized by their sociohistorical basis that typically minimizes some consideration of khowledge acquired by HSS from their curriculum. Whereas the importance of the integration HSS in engineering education has been confirmed. That is why this present research aims at identifying the disciplines of HSS introduced into these trainings and the purposes which they pursue. It is a question of understanding in what and how the HSS participate in a reflexivity on the democratic stakes in the conditions of exercise of engineering practice or unlike the legitimization of a technocratic direction. The investigation first examined the display on the websites of the schools of HSS disciplines, their departments listed that include this subject in their teaching and research programs, and the texts describing their content. This investigation reveal an interdependence between these displays of HSS and cultural technoscientifics orientations of the engineering schools, partially determined by their supervision, date of creation, domain of speciality and level of recruitment. It shows howtheses orientations are linked with the institutionalization of the HSS in France. A categorization of schools was also elaborated, on the basis of the place and of the function which is occupied by the SHS in their curriculum. The dominant reference to the company in the program contrasts with HSS which are explicitly mobilized only in two categories of six, and are connected to the sciences and the techniques of engineering speciality only in one category. Studies of contrasted cases illustrate and go deeper into these first results. How difficult seams this coexistence, it is possible as shown by the analysis of a school among which the pioneering fouders boosted by their philosophic and political ambition, their personal values and shared convictions were also supprted by the national policies of research in HSS

Повний текст джерелаIn spite of the theoretical importation of the model - stemed from the « hard » sciences - of the partition between the scientific production in the form of the artide in peer-reviewed journals on the one hand and the essayist or «mainstream » production in the form of the published book on the other hand, the latter medium holds a central but ambiguous place in social sciences, both as primary exposition scene for works of research and as a vehicle for popularization. The researchers in this field don't control the means of the spreading of their knowledge. The internal regulation and assessment devices of the disciplines depend therefore on an editorial process that contributes to detemine a legitimate definition of research in social sciences. Furthermore, this output is indexed to the selection criteria used by the publishers. Ultimately, the edited statements proceed from an arbitration between scientific norms and editorial requirements whose epistemological consequences need to be considered

Повний текст джерелаThe perception of the climate is culturally and socially constructed. For this reason, we have studied some weather events integrating the cultural, political and historical contexts in which they occur. In a first part, we analyzed the impact of Polar Lows, intense mesocyclones that develop over ice-free Arctic seas during winter time, on coastal regions of Norway. The passage of PL can provoke dangerous sea conditions with strong waves, sudden snowfall and blizzard. This phenomenon may represent a risk to maritime and coastal activities in the region, particularly for shipping, fishing and oil and gas offshore platforms. In a second part we studied the impacts of climate change and severe weather events in the Republic of Tuva. Tuva is a very southern subarctic region. Its climate is extremely continental and precipitation tend to be low due to the low moisture content in the cold air. During the twentieth century, the region has experienced major socio-economic changes, sometimes brutal, including the transition from a communist and planned economy to a market economy in the early 1990. Despite these recent changes, pastoralists in western Tuva (horses, cows, yaks, sheep, camels) and reindeer herders in eastern Tuva, still live in close contact with the natural environment. Indigenous peoples of Tuva are facing global changes caused by certain contemporary regional and national policies, including the expansion of the mining industry and the development of mega projects. They offer different points of view, describing environmental changes and their impact on their daily activities
