Повний текст джерелаOur world is becoming increasingly complex, and is rapidly changingwith distances being reduced. Societies today are also in atransition from traditional production industries to increasingreliance on communication, consumption, services and experience. Asone of these emerging ‘new industries’, tourism is part of thismovement. Globalisation also makes further development of tourismpossible through, amongst other things, the spreading of languages;the development of low-cost carriers; international monetary systems;telecommunications and other technological innovations. Tourismcontributes to the globalisation of society and at the same time is aproduct of it. This is confirmed by complexity theories that stressthe systematic and dynamic nature of globalisation and theinterdependence of the global and the local. Hence, in this thesis,it is argued that acknowledging the complexity of tourism isnecessary for understanding tourism development, and more knowledgeabout tourism also leads to greater knowledge of our society.
The main aim of this thesis is to understand the complexity of localand regional tourist destination development, by exploring social andcultural factors that influence this development. In order to fulfilthis aim, analysis has been conducted at three different levels:places, projects and people. More specifically, by examining placesand how they develop as destinations; investigating the structure of,and processes within, groups and networks important for destinationdevelopment and by exploring the roles, resources and attitudes ofenterprising people who are seen as key for development. The thesisis based on a research project including three studies of tourismdestinations and projects in Northern Sweden and Scotland.
The social and cultural factors connected to tourism development arein turn part of learning processes, which in this thesis are seen asfundamental mechanisms for processes of development. A frameworkcalled ‘Learning Destinations’ is introduced that demonstrates howimportant social and cultural factors manifest themselves at each ofthe three levels: places, projects and people. History and heritageand rationales are the main cultural factors discussed, whilstinteraction and boundaries are prominent social factors found toinfluence tourism development. It is suggested that the framework of‘Learning Destinations’ may serve as a tool for understanding thecomplexity of local and regional tourism development.

Destinations need to find elements which demonstrate their uniqueness, the singularity which allows them to differentiate themselves from others. This struggle for uniqueness makes economies become more competitive and competition is a central element in the dynamics of Tourism. Technology is also an added value for tourism competitiveness, as it allows destinations to become internationalised and known worldwide. In this scenario, research has increased as a means to study Tourism trends in fields such as sociology and marketing. Nevertheless, there are areas in which there is not much research done and which are fundamental: these are the areas concerned with identities, communication and interpersonal relations. In this regard, Linguistics has a major role for different reasons: firstly, it studies language itself and through it, communication, secondly, language conveys culture and, thirdly, it is by enriching language users that innovation in Tourism and in knowledge, as a whole, is made possible. This innovation, on the other hand, has repercussions in areas such as management, internationalisation and marketing as well. It is, therefore, the objective of this thesis to report on how learning experiences take place in Tourism undergraduate English language classes as well as to give an account of enhanced results in classes where mobile learning was adopted. In this way, an alliance between practice and research was established. This is beneficial for the teaching and learning process because by establishing links between research based insight and practice, the outcome is grounded knowledge which helps make solid educational decisions. This research, therefore, allows to better understand if learners accept working with mobile technologies in their learning process. Before introducing any teaching and learning approach, it was necessary to be informed, as well, of how English for tourism programmes are organised. This thesis also illustrates through the premises of Systemic Functional Linguistics that language use can be enhanced by using mobile technology in Tourism undergraduate language classes.
O setor do Turismo está em franco crescimento e é cada vez mais competitivo. Por estes motivos, cada destino precisa de encontrar formas de demonstrar a sua singularidade que lhe permita diferenciar-se dos demais. A necessidade de oferecer características singulares torna as economias mais competitivas e a concorrência é um elemento central na diferenciação. A tecnologia assumese como uma mais-valia para a competitividade no setor turístico, pois permite a internacionalização dos destinos. Neste cenário, a investigação acerca das tendências no setor aumentou em diversas áreas, nomeadamente na Sociologia e no Marketing. No entanto, existem áreas em que não existe ainda muita investigação: tais como a área das identidades, comunicação e relações interpessoais. Neste campo os estudos linguísticos têm um papel importante por diversas razões: em primeiro lugar, estudam a língua em uso, em segundo lugar, a lingua é o veículo que permite o intercâmbio cultural e, por fim, é através do enriquecimento dos seus falantes que é possível inovar no setor do Turismo e no conhecimento como um todo. Esta inovação, por outro lado, tem repercussões em áreas como a gestão, a internacionalização e o Marketing. É, portanto, objetivo desta tese dar a conhecer experiências de uso de língua que ocorrem em aulas de língua Inglesa com alunos de Turismo, assim como mostrar os resultados de reforço de uso de língua em contextos em que a aprendizagem através de dispositivos móveis foi adotada. Para o efeito, desenvolveram-se estratégias que conciliaram a investigação e a prática letiva que foram benéficas para o processo de ensino/aprendizagem uma vez que permitiram tomar decisões educativas fundamentadas na investigação. A presente tese permite compreender melhor se os alunos aceitam trabalhar com tecnologias móveis no processo de aprendizagem. Permite, igualmente, compreender de que forma estão organizados os tópicos dos programas de língua Inglesa em cursos de Turismo. Por fim, esta tese também ilustra através das premissas da Linguística Funcional Sistémica, que o uso da língua pode ser reforçado recorrendo às tecnologias móveis em aulas de língua Inglesa em cursos de Licenciatura em Turismo.

Cultural festivals are both attractions and destinations, which use cultural offerings as thematic elements to attract visitors. These festivals provide their patrons with both education and entertainment. This is further complicated by the large variety of motivations for festival attendees. One important motivation for festival patrons is learning, which can be linked to the construct of mindfulness. Mindful visitors are those who are receptive to educational experiences. When mindful visitors interact with certain setting factors, they exhibit greater satisfaction and greater learning outcomes. This study looks at learning motivated attendees of the Global Fusion Festival, an annual multicultural festival held in Philadelphia, to better understand the relationship between learning motivation and satisfaction and learning outcomes. Increased knowledge of this relationship can lead to better planning and marketing of event functions, particularly with regard to programming of activities.

Повний текст джерелаO objetivo deste estudo é identificar as necessidades da situação de aprendizagem (necessidades dos alunos) da língua inglesa dos estudantes de um curso técnico em Turismo e Hotelaria em uma escola técnica estadual, e da situação-alvo (necessidade do mercado de trabalho), comparando-as com a proposta curricular existente. Para levantar os dados, foram utilizados como instrumento de coleta: questionários, entrevistas semi- estruturadas e documentos sobre o curso de Turismo e Hotelaria e sobre a disciplina Inglês Instrumental. O principal arcabouço teórico que norteou esta pesquisa está fundamentado nos trabalhos de Hutchinson e Waters (1987/1996), Dudley-Evans e St. John (1998/2005) e Robinson (1991), autores da linha de estudo de ensino de línguas denominado Inglês para Fins Específicos - ESP (English for Specific Purposes), ou Abordagem Instrumental, termo adotado no Brasil. A análise dos dados confirma a extrema necessidade da situação de aprendizagem e da situação-alvo da compreensão auditiva e da produção oral. No entanto, o ensino da habilidade de leitura de gêneros discursivos tais como sites, folhetos, regulamentos, entre outros, precisa ser redimensionado. Esta pesquisa pretende dar subsídios para uma adequação do curso de Inglês Instrumental atualmente implementado na escola técnica onde esta pesquisa foi realizada, tendo em vista as necessidades dos alunos desta unidade escolar e do mercado de trabalho.
The aim of this study is to identify, first, the learning needs of students that study English as a foreign language in a technical course in Tourism and Hotel Management in a state school, and, second, the target needs for work in the market; in addition, the study compares the students` needs and market needs with the course syllabus followed in the school. The data were collected through questionnaires, semi-structured interviews and documents about the Tourism course and about the English course. The main theoretical framework of this study is based on Hutchinson & Waters (1987/1996), Dudley-Evans & St. John (1998/2005) and Robinson (1991), authors of the approach called ESP - English for Specific Purposes, or Inglês Instrumental, as it is known in Brazil. The analysis of the data confirms that, in both learning and target situations, speaking and listening skills are extremely important. However, the teaching of reading skills for genres such as web sites, brochures, and regulations must be reevaluated and adjusted to the reality of student and market needs. Suggestions are presented for new directions toward making the ESP course under study more suitable for both the learner and the market.

Повний текст джерелаMany scholars in the social sciences, especially in the Hospitality industry have seen many changes over the years, based on research conducted in the workplace. Skills seem to be a popular research agenda. The literature is rich on how changes have occurred overtime in the hospitality industry workplace. With such a competitive environment this industry is functioning, it is important that entry level employees or current employees in the workplace possess a variety of non-technical skills. Once attained, these employees, will benefit the Hospitality industry, as happy clients / guests, will return, which will create a profitable workplace. It is vitally important that tertiary institutions pay specific attention to students and graduates, that they obtain non-technical skills, via co-operative education programmes, with a focus on the real employment world outside of education. This will equip them to find a job that could be satisfying and rewarding. Industry on the other hand should identify important non-technical skills and conduct on the job training, inducing such skills. The researcher found that the need for willingness to adapt and eagerness to learn was a consistent theme. The non-technical skills of communication, teamwork, initiative, problem solving and decision making were also highly valued. Respondents were dissatisfied with the quality of entry-level employees beginning their careers, especially graduates who lack non-technical skills. A need was seen for a long-term view of preparation of young people for work, beginning with parents and guardians, who should lay the foundations. Alongside them, educators should be fostering good attitudes and a love for learning, as well as lecturing verbal, numerical and other specific skills. Successful co-operative education programmes often could involve three key role-players, that of employers (managers / supervisors), students / graduates in this context and the tertiary institution they are studying at Technikon’s providing vocationally orientated co-operative education programmes, therefore need to continually examine what skills employers (managers / supervisors) consider to be important with regard to the skills required by students, entering the workplace. This research study revealed that there is a gap between the skills that students acquire in their formal studies and what employers (managers / supervisors) require. If this need is not recognised, the programmes, institution and students will suffer. The study is aimed at making a contribution towards co-operative education programmes in Hospitality and Tourism at technikons by identifying what non-technical skills the Border Technikon is not addressing. It was found that the skills not being adequately addressed fall in the non-technical skills category. The study identifies the non-technical skills required by employers (managers / supervisors) of Border Technikon Hospitality and Tourism students undertaking experiential learning.

Повний текст джерелаLa tesi investiga le potenzialità relazionate all'applicazione di un approccio 'per scenari' alla progettazione e alla pianificazione del paesaggio. Si concentra, in particolare, sulle trasformazioni indotte dallo sviluppo di infrastrutture in contesti altamente dinamici ed instabili sia dal punto di vista ambientale che socio-economico, mirando ad indirizzarne le scelte strategiche influendo sul processo decisionale del promotore dalle prime fasi. Il lavoro presenta i diversi passaggi teorici ad applicativi che hanno contribuito a definire un modello, una procedura, che mira ad inserire le tematiche legate al paesaggio e alle sue future trasformazioni tra gli input da considerare nel programmare lo sviluppo infrastrutturale di reti ed opere infrastrutturali. Infatti, se da un lato le società che gestisco e sviluppano infrastrutture hanno bisogno di programmare gli investimenti a medio e lungo termine anche in fasi e contesti di estrema incertezza, dall'altro i professionisti ed i ricercatori che operano nel campo del paesaggio sono chiamati a sviluppare nuovi strumenti in grado di assistere la pianificazione nel senso dell'adattabilità a scenari futuri alternativi. La tesi, inizialmente, presenta una serie di esperienze pilota sviluppate in due ambiti esemplari per instabilità e fragilità a diversi livelli: paesaggi fluviali e territori turistici. Lo scopo di queste esperienze applicative è stato comprendere, attraverso il progetto, come convertire i dati e le previsioni quantitative a disposizione del 'developer' in dimensioni di paesaggio, come trasformarli ed elaborarli in scenari esplorativi di futuri assetti tra loro alternativi. Nel passaggio successivo, la tesi riporta l'esperienza del progetto multidisciplinare T.H.ER.E. che rappresenta una primo tentativo di 'dimensionamento' paesaggistico di un'infrastruttura complessa, sviluppata peraltro in un contesto limite, fortemente turistico. Da questo caso applicativo e dalle questioni emerse durante la ricerca sono stati generalizzati i concetti alla base del modello proposto, il 'Sizing Landscapes Model'; sono stati perfezionati e messi a punto una serie di strumenti ed un 'flusso di lavoro' operativo che sono successivamente stati applicati ad altre situazioni in collaborazione con società ed istituti che si occupano di opere infrastrutturali e gestione del territorio. Tra queste, la tesi approfondisce il caso applicativo in corso di attuazione legato alla programmazione futura degli interventi legati al distretto di pianura di un Consorzio di Bonifica emiliano-romagnolo. Nel presentare questa esperienza sono messe in luce le opportunità e le sfide legate all'applicazione del modello, alla sua efficienza sul lungo quanto sul medio termine della programmazione infrastrutturale. Il lavoro di ricerca, perseguendo la metodologia del ' research-by-design', cerca di dimostrare le potenzialità che si aprono ragionando per scenari e cambiando l'attitudine a considerare il paesaggio in conseguenza di altre azioni. Attraverso un approccio per scenari è infatti possibile partire dall'idea di nuovi paesaggi che integrino trasformazioni, rischi ed incertezze guidando la realizzazione di nuove opere infrastrutturali attraverso processi più adattabili e resilienti ai cambiamenti futuri, parzialmente prevedibili, comunque dinamici, ma in definitiva legati a decisioni strategiche prese nel presente.

Повний текст джерелаEl recent augment en els estudis i la literatura sobre l’ús de wikis i altres eines de la Web 2.0 en l’aprenentatge d’idiomes emfatitza els beneficis pedagògics de la utilització d’aquestes eines per a les tasques d’escriptura de col·laboració a l’aula de llengua estrangera. No obstant això, l’existent recerca és encara escassa, doncs són pocs els projectes d’escriptura col·laborativa amb més de dos escriptors que s’han desenvolupat fins ara. Això pot ser degut al fet que l’escriptura és un acte complex i desafiant, el qual es torna encara més difícil quan es tracta d’un treball col·laboratiu i involucra a més de dues persones. A més d’això, la implementació d’un wiki o d’una altra eina de col·laboració digital pot servir per complicar en lloc de facilitar encara més. Aquesta tesi presenta un estudi de cas de mètodes mixtos sobre l'ús d'un wiki per a un projecte d'escriptura col·laborativa dut a terme a l'aula d'Anglès per al Turisme a nivell d'educació superior. Els subjectes d'estudi, 63 estudiants de primer any matriculats en un programa de grau de 4 anys d'Estudis Turístics en una institució privada a Barcelona, van ser els participants d'un curs de llengua anglesa per al Turisme dividits en 3 grups diferents basats en el domini de l'idioma i ensenyats per 3 professors diferents. Un total de 18 petits grups de treball d'entre 3 o 4 alumnes van participar en el projecte conegut com Touripedia, el qual va ser dut a terme durant un període de 6 mesos dividit en 3 fases del projecte. Els resultats d'aquest estudi posen de manifest com les reaccions dels alumnes sobre l'ús de l'eina difereixen d'acord a les fases i les etapes del projecte d'escriptura col·laborativa. L'objectiu primordial d'aquesta investigació és proporcionar comprensió sobre com l'ús d'un wiki influeix en els processos i en les percepcions de l'aprenent quan participa en una tasca d'escriptura col·laborativa. En oferir una visió i unes directrius que augmenten les oportunitats d'aprenentatge i minimitzen els desafiaments de l'ús efectiu de l'eina wiki, aquest estudi també té com a objectiu ajudar els professors d'idiomes tenint en compte l'aplicació de tals activitats en les seves pròpies aules, així com també pot ajudar els dissenyadors de software per a comprendre millor les necessitats dels alumnes i dels professors per al desenvolupament continu d'eines de col·laboració que facilitin específicament els processos d'aprenentatge d'idiomes.
El reciente aumento en los estudios y la literatura sobre el uso de wikis y otras herramientas de la Web 2.0 en el aprendizaje de idiomas enfatiza los beneficios pedagógicos de la utilización de estas herramientas para las tareas de escritura de colaboración en el aula de lengua extranjera. Sin embargo, la existente investigación es todavía escasa, pues son pocos los proyectos de escritura colaborativa con más de dos escritores que se han desarrollado hasta ahora. Esto puede ser debido, en parte, a que la escritura es un acto complejo y desafiante, el cual se vuelve aún más difícil cuando se trata de un trabajo colaborativo e involucra a más de dos personas. Además de esto, la implementación de un wiki o de otra herramienta de colaboración digital puede servir para complicar en lugar de facilitar aún más. Esta tesis presenta un estudio de caso de métodos mixtos sobre el uso de un wiki para un proyecto de escritura colaborativa llevado a cabo en el aula de Inglés para el Turismo a nivel de educación superior. Los sujetos de estudio, 63 estudiantes de primer año matriculados en un programa de grado de 4 años de Estudios Turísticos en una institución privada en Barcelona, fueron los participantes de un curso de lengua Inglesa para el Turismo divididos en 3 grupos distintos basados en el dominio del idioma y enseñados por 3 profesores diferentes. Un total de 18 pequeños grupos de trabajo de entre 3 o 4 alumnos participaron en el proyecto conocido como Touripedia, el cual fue llevado a cabo durante un período de 6 meses dividido en 3 fases del proyecto. Los hallazgos de este estudio ponen de manifiesto cómo las reacciones de los alumnos sobre el uso de la herramienta difieren de acuerdo a las fases y las etapas del proyecto de escritura colaborativa. El objetivo primordial de esta investigación es proporcionar comprensión sobre cómo el uso de un wiki influye en los procesos y en las percepciones del aprendiz cuando participa en una tarea de escritura colaborativa. Al ofrecer una visión y unas directrices que aumentan las oportunidades de aprendizaje y minimizan los desafíos del uso efectivo de la herramienta wiki, este estudio también tiene como objetivo ayudar a los profesores de idiomas teniendo en cuenta la aplicación de tales actividades en sus propias aulas, así como también puede ayudar a los diseñadores de software para comprender mejor las necesidades de los alumnos y de los profesores para el desarrollo continuo de herramientas de colaboración que faciliten específicamente los procesos de aprendizaje de idiomas.

Повний текст джерелаThis research lies at the intersection of four different areas: French for specific purposes; discourse analysis; learner autonomy and web based learning. We’ve collected a corpus which provided data for designing contextualized discursive activities exploiting the web (web-based learning : web as a communication tool, web as artifact integrated into the learning environment ) in the context of FOS for tourism. We chose to focus on the discursive activity because it allows us to answer two questions: - What should be taught / learned in a context of FOS for tourism ? - What are the characteristics of speech involved ? Our corpus comprises two printed travel guides on Vietnam (approximately 1000 pages) and oral discourse transcribed from records of tour guide speeches (about 10 hours in total). It is therefore both data mining in the corpus, the transfer of this data for applied linguistic and their direct reuse in the design of learning activities. The transfer is the application of the conclusions drawn from the analysis of the corpus for the development of discursive activities while the reuse of these data consists in extracting corpus elements to integrate them into discursive activities. To analyze the corpus, to structure and to program discursive activities, we used the XML and developed scripts for computer operations (analysis and learning activities ). Finally, our research leads to a didactic perspective. We recommend the discursive approach for the design of syllabus and discursive learning activities. We illustrate this approach with some learning activities. It should be noted that this is an exploratory study and not an experimental one

Повний текст джерелаCommunity engagement in universities of technology is evolving to become a game-changer in addressing the economic challenges of the country (Erasmus, 2005:4). Service learning (SL) as a form of community engagement is promoted in higher education, as a learning paradigm. Conway, Amel and Gerwien (2009:238) encourage enquiry into the benefits of this pedagogy and the partnerships involved, as faculties curriculate and adopt the service learning model into current programmes (Lazarus, Erasmus, Hendricks, Nduna & Slamat, 2008:60-61). The SL project of the Tourism Management Department at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) is distinctive in design from the generic social-change focussed projects within Universities of Technology (UoTs). Its outcomes are based on the development of business plans for small and medium enterprises for implementation. The assessment of this interactive learning process was essential to determine whether it yielded any positive change in the participants. Thus the aim of the study is to determine the success or otherwise of the service learning project, so as to ensure that the small, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs) community and students benefit from the Tourism Management project. The study sample included nine small and medium tourism entrepreneurs (SMTEs) and 178 third year tourism management students. From the sample two SMTEs participated in one-on-one interviews and six students participated in a focus-group interview. Action research was undertaken for this study, and census sampling was adopted to collect quantitative and qualitative data from project participants. The ATLAS.ti 7 data analysis programme was employed to process the qualitative data, and SPSS 22.0 software was utilised to develop frequency tables from the quantitative data. All data was triangulated to obtain conclusions. Fifty-two percent (52%) of student participants learnt leadership skills, with 64% indicating essential benefits on business skills. Company visions were shared throughout the collaborative process, and 76% of SMTE responses, directed to the students’ solutions, being highly innovative for their businesses; and these were implemented to improve business processes. The findings of the study attested to the SL model improving reciprocal learning, and having positive benefits for all partners involved. In continuing the essential dialogue on implementation of SL in higher education, sustainable partnerships in SL projects are essential to ensure continued positive results. The majority of participants responded positively to a willingness to participate in a similar project, which is a positive indicator of the benefits of the project. Implications for future studies point towards a need for continued monitoring of growth performance in the participating small and medium enterprises.

O presente estudo aborda as relações entre a pesca e o fluxo de visitantes enquanto modo de construção da pessoa no povoado de Moreré, situado na Ilha de Boipeba. O eclético e versátil domínio técnico de distintas modalidades de pesca é analisado a partir das suas formas de subjetivação, habilidades, modos de socialidade (formas de reciprocidade, organização do espaço doméstico, etc.) e de seus percursos de aprendizagem e engajamento social em uma perspectiva monográfica. A construção do pescador é percebida a partir de suas associações com outros humanos, artefatos, animais e ambiente de modo geral, e analisada dialogicamente com relação à construção do próprio antropólogo, imerso em determinados fluxos e domínios técnicos específicos desenvolvidos ao longo de sua trajetória de aprendizado, e pondo-os em comunicação à medida que executa seu trabalha. O texto procura refletir o caráter sazonal do povoado e instigar discussões contemporâneas sobre pesca e sobre as peculiaridades de tal prática em um local cuja dinâmica integra um movimento constante e crescente de turistas.
This study deals with the relationship between fishing and visitor flow as a way of building the person in the village of Moreré, located on the island of Boipeba. The eclectic and versatile technical domain of different fishing modalities is analyzed based on their forms of subjectivation, skills, modes of sociality (forms of reciprocity, organization of the domestic space, etc.) and their learning pathways and social engagement in a Monographic perspective. The construction of the fisherman is perceived from its associations with other humans, artifacts, animals and the environment in general, and analyzed in a dialogical way in relation to the construction of the anthropologist himself, immersed in certain flows and specific technical fields developed during his formation, and putting them in communication as you perform your work. The text seeks to reflect the seasonal character of the village and instigate contemporary discussions about fishing and the peculiarities of such practice in a place whose dynamics integrates a constant and growing movement of tourists.

Повний текст джерелаThe peculiarity of the tourism products and the new competition from OTAs requires travel agents to provide a consulting service, necessary in order to preserve their long-term profitability. As a result, many tour operators have begun to provide to travel agents with free digital training (online electronic platforms, webinars, CDs and DVDs) and they can use this service whenever and wherever they want. The moderate costs, the reinforcement of the distribution channel and the loyalty of travel agents are the main objectives that prompted tour operator to provide this type of training. Despite the growing interest shown by the industry, there are few academic studies that have examined this phenomenon. For this reason, we choose to conduct a qualitative exploratory research to understand to understand and deepen in all its aspects; main objective of the study is to investigate whether and how the supply of complimentary services, in particular digital training services, affects the buyer-seller relationship between a tour operator who provide e-learning service and a travel agency that benefits from that service. The research took place in two different phases: a preliminary phase of participant observation and a second step of analysis in which was used the multiple case study method. The research results confirm that the relationship between buyers and sellers within the tourism industry is positively influenced by the free digital training services, when these are perceived as real opportunities for growth and stability for the travel agencies. Thus, the results of this study lay the groundwork for a subsequent quantitative development aimed at testing an impact assessment model of the phenomenon.

Huvudsyftet med studien är en djupare förståelse för ett nytt forskningsfält som till stor del lämnats outforskat. Teknisk turism är en typ av besök i en verksamhetsanläggning, där de tekniska aspekterna av produktionsprocessen är huvudfokus för besökaren. Definitionen av teknisk turism baseras på konceptet ”Industrial tourism”. Teknisk turism hävdas vara en underkategori till Industrial tourism. Studien, som är ett samarbete mellan KTH och Vattenfall, har resulterat i två sammanhängande delar. Del ett, ‘’Vindkraftsturism: En studie av teknisk turism med särskilt fokus på vindkraftsparker’, är en teoretisk beskrivning av teknisk turism (nedan kallad ‘Rapporten’). Del två, ‘Kommunikationsmanual: Vindkraftsturism’ är en handledande kommunikationsmanual baserad på resultaten i studien, designad för Vattenfall att använda vid information om teknisk turism till berörda intressenter (nedan kallad ‘Manualen’). Materialet för de två delarna av studien samlades genom intervjuer och genom litteraturstudier. Informanterna rekryterades i anslutning till en vindkraftspark i norra Sverige. Representanter från kommunen samt det lokala näringslivet inkluderades i studien. ‘Rapporten’ – Den teoretiska genomgången behandlar potentiella möjligheter och konflikter för berörda intressenter, som kan uppstå kring en vindkraftspark med besökarverksamhet. Vidare presenteras och används en modell för analys av intressenter, för att finna nyckelrelationer mellan involverade parter. Den beskriver även vikten av att finna gemensamma identifikationspunkter och samverkan mellan värdföretaget och regionen. Två faktorer som är nödvändiga för en effektiv etablering av teknisk turism. ‘Manualen’ – Kommunikationsmanualen är utformad efter det demokratiperspektiv som karaktäriserar ’Education for sustainable development’. Den består av en färdig mall för en workshop på ämnet och även en redovisning av besöksprojekt av liknande karaktär, både från Sverige och internationellt. Resultatet visar en handfull fördelar med teknisk turism och även några potentiella konflikter. Studien belyser även vikten av samverkan mellan intressenterna, något som framkommit både via informanter och genom granskning av tidigare forskning. Studien presenterar en ny definition av teknisk turism.

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis studies the evolution of the tourist system with regard to intra stay tourist mobility. Indeed, many changes are at work in terms of consumption logics. In contrast to standardized offers, tourists are more than ever in search of authentic tourist experiences. In hope to satisfy them and sustain their development, territories must adapt. The mobility that takes place during the stay therefore embodies a major development challenge. By reflecting tourism practices, which generally extend over several territories, they give key indications to the actors in charge of tourism development. Although the theme of intra stay mobility is widespread in the scientific literature, no research has paid attention to the mechanisms of reciprocal adjustments that take place between the different actors, which impact the realization of practices. The theoretical frameworks of organizational learning and performance are particularly well suited to understanding these interactions between actors. This thesis therefore proposes to study the organization of tourism activity, in the light of intra stay mobility, at a particularly rich moment in terms of coordination between tourism actors. Argelès-sur-Mer, a seaside resort located in the south of France, in the Occitanie, Pyrénées- Méditerranée region, constitutes the main field of study. This territory is specific because of the majority of campsites. Through a qualitative approach and mixed methods that integrate tourists, professionals and institutional actors, we have been able to contribute to the understanding of the links between tourism practices and actors' strategies allowing to rethink the current organization of tourism

The research is based on a survey carried out in the heart of two Moroccanschools, with students and teachers and on observations of the reactions of students during theirconfrontation with their material heritage in the field, another survey is carried out with theassistance from an argan cooperative planted on the territory of the argan biosphere reservewith students in which the intangible heritage of the argan biosphere reserve is highlighted.This thesis proposes, in a first part, a return to the history of the concept of "biosphere reserve"and its direct link with the conservation of heritage is presented to then state our field of research"the argan biosphere reserve" and its educational potential.From the definition of the RBA as protected land of an educational nature, we try to understandthe implication of education in the conservation of heritage. The second part focuses on theimportance of tourism practices, which can also be applied in a school setting, in theconservation of heritage, in other words the use of tourism as a means of raising awareness ofheritage conservation. Thus, we believe that heritage conservation is a global objective thatinvolves the local population, living around a heritage, but also visitors passing through thearea. This is what we will try to demonstrate through a questionnaire launched on variousplatforms of travelers to understand their interest in heritage conservation. Finally, in the thirdpart, we will try to observe the impact of formal heritage education on students and analyze itscapacity to develop a feeling of belonging and responsibility towards heritage. Official textsdefine formal heritage education as a means of educating for citizenship, tolerance, nationalhistory, the construction and transmission of values, developing a sense of belonging, toappropriate an identity and to preserve the heritage (the national charter of education andtraining, 1999). Indeed, heritage education has its origins in the World Heritage Conventions (1972), theIntangible Heritage Convention (2003) and the European Faro Convention (2005). Theseexpress that heritage education spreads a sense of responsibility, of attachment of individuals to their heritage, they consider education as a means of developing and preserving humanitarianheritage.Starting from the definition of heritage education, which today is based on the transmission ofinformation, the conservation of heritage and territorial development, research has focused onthe links between education and the conservation of heritage under two different angles. Doctoral dissertation “The Learning Area Principles as a Framework for the Development of Tourism Development Strategy of Novi Sad” refers to Novi Sad and its surroundings. The learning area concept is a multi-stakeholder inter-sectoral approach to problem solving in order to enhance the performance of SME’s and human resources of tourism sector on destination level. The research consists of: theoretical background and explanation of tourism learning area principles, identification of tourism stakeholders in Novi Sad, defining the characteristics and resources of Novi Sad as a tourism destination, environmental analysis of tourism sector of Novi Sad, identification of learning needs and opportunities of Novi Sad (examining the links between leadership styles, dimensions of learning organization and job satisfaction) and indicating funds and initiatives for enhancing destination capacities that are available.

As viagens e o turismo apresentam grande potencialidade formativa e educativa no Brasil, na França e no mundo. Contudo sua importância ainda precisa ser compreendida. Para tanto, se faz necessário considerar tanto seus aspectos psico-sociais, históricos, econômicos e culturais quanto a produção de conhecimentos que subsidiem um comportamento de acolhida adequado. A educação em turismo é uma alternativa para a transformação do processo de acolhimento em espaços de viagem, turismo e lazer. E o acolhimento é o elemento capaz de unificar os significados da viagem e do turismo. Este estudo, na interseção da educação, da viagem e do turismo, aborda experiências de aprendizagem, de formação e de educação pelas viagens (EAFEV) a fim de contribuir para a formação do docente e do profissional bem como dos viajantes confrontados a outras culturas e a uma possível (trans)formação deles próprios. Centrado nas realidades brasileira e francesa, reflete um panorama tanto nacional quanto internacional que poderá informar outros estudos em diferentes regiões e países. Para subsidiar a elaboração de uma pedagogia da viagem, do turismo e do acolhimento, busca-se apresentar um itinerário de estudos e reflexões para um futuro delineamento de uma proposta pedagógica que integre saberes, conhecimentos e práticas em relação às EAFEV; abordar, identificar e estudar as EAFEV; realizar uma cartografia do ensino e da pesquisa nesses campos no Brasil e na França; recuperar, socializar e difundir o conteúdo de obras não disponíveis no Brasil; contribuir para o repensar da formação/educação em turismo (no Brasil e no exterior). A abordagem multirreferencial na perspectiva de uma bricolagem metodológica tornou possível estudar tanto as viagens, o viajante, o turismo e o turista quanto a formação e a educação em turismo. Para isto uma ampla pesquisa da literatura nacional e internacional dos campos em foco foi desenvolvida. Uma cartografia foi elaborada por meio das categorias analíticas: pesquisa em turismo; formação pela viagem; educação pela viagem; formação para a viagem; educação para a viagem; formação em turismo e educação em turismo. São utilizadas igualmente as categorias ―desejo e ―viagem. Verificou-se que os estudiosos da área ressaltam a relevância das viagens na transformação do sujeito, evidenciando diversos aspectos do seu significado e contribuições no âmbito da Cultura, da Antropologia, da Filosofia, da História, da Literatura e da Mitologia. Observa-se a necessidade de uma modificação da formação dos sujeitos que possibilite o seu autoconhecimento e a construção de um comportamento sustentável. Aponta-se para a necessidade de compreender a importância das EAFEV e seus significados e contribuições à (trans)formação do sujeito-viajante; de considerar os equipamentos e serviços turísticos como espaços de aprendizagem e os profissionais das viagens, do turismo e do acolhimento como agentes pedagógicos; de utilizar o Mapa Conceitual como base para a reflexão dos docentes e coordenadores pedagógicos destacando os aspectos fundamentais a serem considerados na organização dos currículos de formação com vistas à superação das lacunas identificadas na formação discutida neste estudo.

Nas empresas de serviço, particularmente as que pertencem ao segmento turístico, a adoção de inovações é uma condição essencial para sobrevivência, pois além da sazonalidade que caracteriza os serviços turísticos, o segmento enfrenta um ambiente altamente instável, com clientes que buscam cada vez mais serviços diferenciados. Diante disto, o presente trabalho buscou identificar os tipos de inovação adotados pelas empresas turísticas de pequeno e médio porte da cidade de Aracaju e analisar como os empreendedores aprendem a inovar. Para alcançar esse objetivo, foi construído um modelo conceitual baseado na tipologia de inovação adotada pela Organização para a Cooperação e o Desenvolvimento Econômico (OCDE, 2005), no conceito de aprendizagem interorganizacional de Larsson et al. (1998), na tipologia de aprendizagem adotada por Conlon (2004) e nas dimensões dos modelos de aprendizagem de Nonaka e Takeuchi (1997), Rae e Carswell (2000) e Politis (2005). A estratégia de pesquisa adotada foi a de estudo de casos múltiplos e foram analisados oito casos de hotéis/pousadas e agências de viagem de pequeno e médio porte localizados na cidade de Aracaju. Para coletar os dados, foi utilizado um roteiro de entrevista semiestruturado, aplicado pessoalmente aos proprietários dos hotéis/pousadas e agências de viagem. De forma adicional, visando garantir a qualidade do estudo, foram também utilizadas as técnicas de análise documental e de observação direta. A partir da análise dos dados foi possível verificar que as empresas pesquisadas estão buscando inovar de diversas formas, e as inovações implementadas incluem os quatro tipos de inovação definidos pela OCDE (2005): inovações de serviço, processo, organizacionais e de marketing. No que se refere a influência da aprendizagem empreendedora para introdução destas inovações, verificou-se que os empreendedores passam por um processo contínuo de aprendizagem para inovar, e este aprendizado ocorre tanto individualmente, como a partir dos relacionamentos estabelecidos com outros indivíduos (aprendizagem grupal) ou instituições (aprendizado interorganizacional), sendo a aprendizagem individual, que ocorre através da observação e das experiências práticas do empreendedor, destacada como uma das principais formas de aprendizado para inovação.

Inom ramarna för det systemet ska en nätbaserad utbildning tas fram. En framgångsrik nätbaserad utbildning för en hållbar besöksnäring ställer höga krav. Dels på det didaktiska planet, dvs hur struktureringen och planeringen av lärandet ska gå till, och dels på det organisatoriska planet, dvs hur en utbildning bäst bör föras in på ett företag. Syftet med denna studie är att öka förståelsen för vilka aspekter som är viktiga att ta hänsyn till vid framtagandet av en nätbaserad utbildning för en hållbar besöksnäring. Undersökningen genomfördes på tre vandrarhem i Stockholm med omnejd. Både verksamhetschefer och personal deltog i undersökningen. Verksamhetscheferna intervjuades och fick svar på frågor i en enkät. Personal deltog i en workshop. Resultatet pekar på att en utbildning behövs för att kvalitetssystemet ska lyckas. Efteratt resultatet presenterats följer en analys och diskussion varifrån ett antal slutsatser och rekommendationer härleds för en lyckad utveckling av en nätbaserad utbildning inom kvalitet och hållbarhet för vandrahem. Dessa lyder i sin sammanfattning att: Utbildningen bör innehålla en till stor del sociala moment utbildningen bör främja kritisk reflektion i samarbete med andraUtbildningen bör vara ytterst relevant för varje deltagare Det ska finnas en gemensam del som är lika för alla i kvalitetssystemet Ett gott ledarskap är av yttersta vikt vid införandet Utbildningen bör åtföljas av tillräckling implementeringsinformation Ett nätbaserat forum bör upprättas som komplement till utbildningen

Повний текст джерелаThis study focuses on the larger sphere of non-general French and more precisely on French for specific purposes targeting the hospitality and tourism sector. Its objective is to show to what extent the French for hospitality and tourism courses offered in Kenyan public universities meet the needs of learners. The study takes a learner centred systemic approach. Quantitative and qualitative data-collection methods were used. An analysis of learners’ needs was conducted with the learners. The views of different actors, namely, teachers and industry professionals were also sought. The results indicate the existence of needs in all parameters studied. These needs were mainly general in nature rather than specific to the area of specialisation. Similarities and differences were also noted in the views of the various actors. As far as the teachers are concerned, these differences pertained to the magnitude of needs noted while for the professionals, they had to do with the variety of needs identified. This study shows us that needs analysis remains a valid exercise in French for specific purposes and that such an exercise should ideally be centred on the learner

In this study, organizations are not seen as static structures driven by predetermined goals formally, but as symbolic fields sustained by daily actions and interactions through practices and organizing, including social learning and sociomateriality. The practice analyzed was the tourism, initially regarded as a social and economic phenomenon responsible for the movement of the service sector. Therefore, after a refinement promoted by reflections during the empirical phase, arose the question: how occur the organizing and learning of tourism as a practice located on the waterfront of João Pessoa/PB? Aiming to answer the question, we identified etnometodological the set of activities that constitute tourism as practice in waterfront João Pessoa / PB. In line with the Practice Based Studies on the method employed was ethnomethodology and techniques of data collection were used visual data, observation record in field notes, interviews and informal conversations. The waterfront where are situated the beaches of Manaíra, Tambaú and Cabo Branco in Joao Pessoa - PB this was the area in which the research was conducted, in addition to the prior process of attending meetings of the Local Management waterfront Committee. Data analysis was performed after triangulation, based on five key concepts of ethnomethodology garfinkiliana, whether achievement, indexicality, accountability, reflexivity and the member notion. The results indicate that the set of sociomateriais elements (human and nonhuman) that underpin tourism as practice in waterfront allowed illustrate how the material offers new possibilities to use this space. Finally, promoted a reflection on the process of social learning and practice of tourism on the waterfront from which it was found indeed that organizing and learning are intimately related parts of the same process. As a social practice, a new concept of tourism is presented as well as the constraints faced in the research and suggestions for future research.
Neste estudo as organizações não são entendidas como estruturas estáticas movidas por objetivos preestabelecidos formalmente, mas como campos simbólicos sustentados por ações e interações cotidianas por meio de práticas e processos organizativos, o que inclui a aprendizagem social e a sociomaterialidade. A prática analisada foi o turismo, considerado inicialmente como um fenômeno social e econômico responsável pela movimentação do setor de serviços. Destarte, após um refinamento promovido por reflexões durante a fase empírica, levantou-se o seguinte questionamento: como ocorrem os processos organizativos e de aprendizagem do turismo como uma prática situada na Orla Marítima de João Pessoa/PB? Com o objetivo de responder ao questionamento, identificou-se etnometodologicamente o conjunto de atividades que constituem o turismo como prática na Orla Marítima de João Pessoa/PB. Em consonância com os Estudos Baseados em Prática, o método empregado foi a etnometodologia e como técnicas de coleta de dados se utilizaram dados visuais, observação com registro em notas de campo, entrevistas e conversas informais. A Orla Marítima onde situam as praias de Manaíra, Tambaú e Cabo Branco, em João Pessoa – PB se tratou do espaço no qual a pesquisa foi realizada, em soma ao processo prévio de participação nas reuniões do Comitê Gestor Orla local. A análise dos dados foi realizada, após a triangulação, com base nos cinco conceitos-chave da etnometodologia garfinkiliana, sejam estes a realização, a indicialidade, relatabilidade, reflexividade e a noção de membro. Os resultados indicam que o conjunto de elementos sociomateriais (humanos e não-humanos) que alicerçam o turismo como prática na Orla Marítima permitiram ilustrar como os elementos não-humanos oferecem novas possibilidades ao uso deste espaço. Por fim, promoveu-se uma reflexão sobre o processo de aprendizagem social do turismo como prática na Orla Marítima a partir da qual se constatou de fato que o organizar e o aprender são partes intimamente relacionadas de um mesmo processo. Como prática social, um novo conceito de turismo é apresentado, assim como as limitações enfrentadas na pesquisa e sugestões para pesquisas futuras.

Abstract "Community" refers to a group of people with the same goal together. A community with a common learning goal has been coined as "professional learning community"(PLC). PLC is popular and been applied to all walks of life especially in the era of internet. The members of the community can learn collaboratively without the time and space constraints. In this study, the participants were tour guides and tour managers. The tourism practitioners provide special services to customers. The satisfaction of customers depends on the quality of the tourism practitioners. This study evaluated the development of a "Tourist Professional Learning Platform" (TPLP) where the tourism practitioners can plan tourist itinerary, records tourist itinerary, calculate tourist on-time rate, share tour pictures, tour recording, and suggestions from specialists. The tourism practitioners can learn and discuss tour-related issues with their community members on the platform. The participants in this study were invited from the fans of “Tour Guide” and “Tour manager” clubs on facebook. They were asked to finish a questionnaire aiming to explore their perceived usefulness, overall ease of use, and willingness of use after they experienced and operated TPLP. 62 valid questionnaires were collected. Among the 62 participants, all of them are qualified tour guides with certifications, 48 have been engaging tour work. The results showed that the participants had positive feedback on perceived usefulness, overall ease of use, and willingness of use on the platform. In addition, different backgrounds, such as years of experience, positions, education backgrounds were then analyzed. The results showed that participants with different backgrounds may have different perceptions and suggestions on TPLP.
