Obiettivo del presente contributo è quello di approfondire l'ipotesi teorica di un rapporto virtuoso tra fiducia, leadership eticamente fondata e sviluppo organizzativo. Il tema della leadership è caratterizzato da numerosi studi, teorie ed approcci; non è, pertanto, semplice arrivare ad una definizione rigorosa di leadership su cui appoggiare i successivi passi del percorso analitico. Il saggio si apre pertanto con un sintetico quadro dei diversi approcci e dalle diverse teorie di studio che emergono dalla letteratura sul tema. I paragrafi centrali sono invece dedicati all'analisi degli stili e delle competenze socio-relazionali del leader per giungere ad alcune riflessioni conclusive sul circuito virtuoso etica-relazioni-fiducia-leadership per il benessere e lo sviluppo organizzativo.

Il tema di una scuola inclusiva richiama quello di una leadership educativa in grado di assumere la responsabilità di una vera e propria leadership etica, che agisce in modo equo e coerente con principi e valori dell’inclusione, rispettando e valorizzando le differenze e i diritti di tutti. L’inclusione riguarda la giustizia sociale, ossia tutto quello che la scuola fa per ridurre la marginalizzazione e per compensare, nel segno dell’equità, le varie differenze che possono in qualsiasi modo produrre disuguaglianze sostanziali. L’articolo si pone come obiettivo quello di proporre alcune riflessioni per impostare una leadership davvero inclusiva a scuola. In particolare, verranno proposti sei passi fondamentali che è necessario realizzare per far sì che tale attuazione diventi concreta e abbia ricadute operative adeguate ed efficaci.

Nella nota conferenza Politik als Beruf (1919) Weber definiva l'"etica della responsabilitŕ" come condizione essenziale dell'azione politica. Ma descrivendo la politica in termini di potere (Macht) e dominio (Herrschaft), vedeva il principale soggetto della vocazione e responsabilitŕ politica nel moderno leader di masse, depositario di doti carismatiche e potere decisionale. Pertanto trascurava l'altro elemento fondamentale della politica moderna, la dinamica dei gruppi generata dall'interazione delle volontŕ e dall'accordo. Due sono dunque i modi di intendere la responsabilitŕ: quello di Weber, legato alla nozione di leadership, e quello connesso invece al concetto di reciprocitŕ e consociatio, parola chiave della tradizione federativa inaugurata nel XVII secolo dal calvinista tedesco Johannes Althusius.

This paper presents a discussion on the need to improve leadership ethics for sustainable development of youth voluntary associations through the examination of theoretical literature that focuses on understanding leadership, particularly the leadership of youth voluntary associations. It also discusses the concept of youth, leadership, and youth voluntary associations. For this reason, this paper is being organized according to subtopics namely the concept of youth, youth voluntary associations, leaders and leadership, leadership ethics, and the need to improve leadership ethics among youth leaders. It is hoped that this preliminary discussion on the need to improve leadership ethics among the leaders of youth voluntary associations provides room for national development that focuses on youth development.

This paper aims to examine more deeply about leadership ethics in the view of Islam and the relationship between leadership ethics and the performance of employees or those they lead. This is an interesting study to discuss considering that in an organization that is the center of attention and its policies are awaited in an organization is the figure of a leader, so that in a leader an ethics is needed, because a leader becomes uswah or an example to his subordinates and that have a significant influence on the performance of their subordinates. In this study, this type of research uses qualitative research with a library research approach or library study with data collection techniques through various references, then data reduction and conclusions are carried out. The results showed that. Leadership ethics in the view of Islam as exemplified by the Prophet with his leadership traits, namely al sidq, amanah, fathonah and tablig and there is a relationship between ethical leadership and ethical performance on the influence of employee performance, this is because the influence of ethical leadership can be realized good performance ethics so that the collaboration between ethical leadership and work ethics has a positive impact on optimizing employee performance

Isu utama dalam tulisan ini adalah untuk menggambarkan kepemimpinan rohani dengan cara sufisme. Sufisme adalah salah satu kearifan Islam yang dilahirkan di era sufisme. Ahli dalam kecerdasan spiritual emosional (ESQ) berpendapat bahwa spiritualitas memiliki kekuatan yang luar biasa yang memungkinkan manusia untuk memecahkan masalah. Para ahli dalam etika religius seperti Weber dan negara Izutsu berkata bahwa etika religius adalah dasar pembentukan moralitas dan perilaku. Perilaku orang yang cenderung asketisme atau mistisisme tergantung pada nilai-nilai etika yang menjadi dasar bagi moralitas. Efektivitas perilaku manusia yang menghasilkan prestasi, tergantung pada spiritualitas dan etika agama yang dianut dan dipercayainya. Dalam artikel ini, keterkaitan antara spiritualitas, etika agama dan asketisme dalam manusia akan membuat kepemimpinan spiritual.Kesimpulan dari artikel ini adalah: pertama, kekuatan dominan dalam pengembangan pendidikan Islam tergantung pada kekuatan budaya. Kekuatan budaya tergantung pada kepemimpinan dan kekuatan kepemimpinan tergantung pada komitmen dari para pemimpin dalam etika religius yang berasal dari perilaku etis dari Allah kepada manusia. Mereka adalah pemimpin spiritual yang dapat menyajikan Allah di dalam hati mereka dan karena itu, jiwa mereka menjadi tenang (nafs al-mut} mainnah), hati mereka menjadi bersih dan damai (qalb al-muni> b, qalb al-Sali>m), mereka pikiran menjadi sehat dan terang ('aql al-Sali> m) dan tubuh mereka menjadi sehat (Jism al-Sali>m). Yang dimaksud dengan pemimpin spiritual adalah pemimpin yang memiliki kecerdasan intelektual, emosional dan spiritual. Karena mereka memiliki hubungan yang erat dengan semangat duniawi, super alam dan Ilahi, mereka dapat mengelola emosi dan hati mereka menjadi tenang dan damai, Allah Sport terbuka, hati nurani dan spiritualitas bekerja sepenuhnya; pikiran terang dan bekerja logika normal dan IQ, EQ dan SQ yang terintegrasi untuk menghasilkan kecerdasan tertinggi.

The purposes of this reserch are gathered millennial generation perspectives to examine the general work ethics of millennial generation in the City Government of Bogor, West Java and expand to explore the relationship between their perceptions about their leaders and their work ethic. The leadership style in this research are transformational and transactional leadership style. This study used a sample of millennial employees of the Bogor City Government who are in three offices, namely the Youth and Sports Department, the Health Service Department, and the Population and Family Control Department. This study uses a sample of millennial employees of the Bogor City Government. The method of sample selection that used in the research is Cluster Random Sampling methods with the number of respondents are 110 emploees. The type of data used are primary data is questionnaire and secondary data are a company profile and study library, data analysis used is a multiple linear regression analysis which is preceded by a data quality test consisting of tests of validity, reliability, and normality. Research results confirm that (1) Transformational leadership style partially has a positive and significant effect on work ethics. (2) Transactional leadership style partially has a positive and significant effect on work ethics. (3) The transformational leadership style and transactional leadership style simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on work ethics. The application of transformational and transactional leadership values has a direct effect on the work ethic of millennial employees. The conclution of this reserch that the implication is which the values contained in transformational and transactional leadership are proven to be able to improve employee work ethics. Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengumpulkan perspektif generasi milenial untuk mengkaji etika kerja umum generasi milenial di Pemerintah Kota Bogor - Jawa Barat dan memperluas hubungan antara persepsi mereka tentang pemimpin dan etika kerja mereka. Gaya kepemimpinan dalam penelitian ini adalah gaya kepemimpinan Transformasional dan Transaksional. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel pegawai milenial Pemerintah Kota Bogor yang berada di tiga kantor yaitu Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga, Dinas Kesehatan, dan Dinas Kependudukan dan Pengendalian Keluarga. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel pegawai milenial Pemerintah Kota Bogor. Metode pemilihan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Cluster Random Sampling dengan jumlah responden 110 karyawan. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data primer berupa angket dan data sekunder berupa company profile dan studi pustaka, analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda yang diawali dengan uji kualitas data yang terdiri dari uji validitas, reliabilitas dan normalitas. Hasil penelitian menegaskan bahwa (1). Gaya Kepemimpinan Transformasional secara parsial berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Etika Kerja sebesar; (2). Gaya Kepemimpinan Transaksional secara parsial berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Etika Kerja sebersar; (3) Gaya Kepemimpinan Transformasional dan Gaya Kepemimpinan Transaksional secara simultan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Etika Kerja. Penerapan nilai-nilai kepemimpinan transformasional dan transaksional berpengaruh langsung terhadap Etika kerja karyawan milenial. Implikasinya adalah nilai-nilai yang terkandung di dalam kepemimpinan transformasional dan transaksional terbukti mampu untuk meningkatkan Etika kerja karyawan. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of transformational leadership on employee performance through the Islamic work ethic of employees at the Cooperative Unit at Tani Bahagia Village, Gondang District, Mojokerto Regency, East Java, Indonesia. This type of research is quantitative research. The population in this study amounted to 75 employees. The data analysis technique used SEM-PLS with Smart-PLS 3.0 software. The results of the study found that transformational leadership has a positive effect on employee performance. Transformational leadership has a positive effect on Islamic work ethics. Islamic work ethic has a positive effect on employee performance. Islamic work ethic mediates the positive effect of transformational leadership on employee performance. The implication of this research is the importance of implementing a transformational leadership style in order to advance the quality of employee performance in the hope of increasing work activities, increasing and developing capital factors and strong business strategies, but also having to pay attention to human resources with good Islamic work ethics and have the value of good manners.

Islam is a religion that regulates all the daily affairs of human life, including in organizations concerning leadership style, commitment, and work ethics and satisfaction in the organization. The objectives of this study are: 1) To analyze job satisfaction on the Islamic Leadership Style. 2) Analyzing the influence of commitment in the organization to the Islamic Leadership Style. 3) Analyze the effect of job satisfaction on work ethics. 4) Analyzing the influence of commitment in the organization on work ethics. 5) Analyze the effect of work ethics on Islamic Leadership Style. 6) Analyzing the effect of job satisfaction indirectly on work ethics through the Islamic Leadership Style. 7) Analyzing the effect of commitment in the organization indirectly on work ethics through the Islamic Leadership Style. The population in this study were all employees at M2M Indonesian Fast Food Mojokerto totaling 33 people. The sampling method in this writing uses census technique. Data analysis used SPSS version 20 for validity test with factor analysis, reliability test with Cronbach. Classic assumption test and multiple linear regression analysis, to verify and prove the research hypothesis. From the research results it can be concluded as follows: 1) Job satisfaction has no effect on Islamic Leadership Style 2) Commitment in the organization has a significant effect on Islamic Leadership Style 3) Job satisfaction does not affect work ethics 4) Commitment in the organization has no effect on work ethics 5) Islamic Leadership Style has a significant effect on work ethics 6) Job satisfaction has an indirect effect on work ethics mediated by Islamic Leadership Style 7) Commitment in the organization has an indirect effect on work ethics mediated by Islamic Leadership Style.

The main challenges for the HEIs are to provide a market driven academic programmes and able to respond to the changing needs of economic sectors. Apparently, the recent challenges require the staff to equip themselves with leadership quality in order to achieve organizational goals. Previous studies have shown several factors such as EI influenced effective leadership. Another significant issue in leadership is ethical behaviors. Therefore, this study intends to examine the relationship between EI and leadership practices when Islamic work ethic is practiced in Malaysian public universities. The respondents will consist of middle administrators in Malaysian public universities. Using qualitative and cross sectional approaches, surveys will be distributed to the stratified randomly selected respondents. Most of the past results suggested there were significant relationships between the variables. The findings are expected to have some contributions both to the practical and theoretical aspects and enable PHIs to improve their leadership training programmes.Key words: Emotional intelligence, Islamic work ethic, and leadership

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kinerja auditor terhadap gaya kepemimpinan, etika profesi, dan komitmen organisasi. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah penyebaran kuesioner kepada 79 auditor eksternal yang bekerja pada Kantor Akuntan Publik di wilayah Jakarta Selatan. Non-probability sampling digunakan dalam penelitian ini. SmartPLS versi 33 dan SPSS versi 25 digunakan untuk menganalisis data penelitian. Gaya kepemimpinan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja auditor, etika profesi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja auditor, dan komitmen organisasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja auditor, menurut temuan. Lebih lanjut, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kinerja auditor dapat dipengaruhi oleh gaya kepemimpinan, etika profesi, dan komitmen perusahaan. The purpose of this research is to investigate the impact of auditor performance on leadership style, professional ethics, and organizational commitment. The approach employed was the distribution of questionnaires to 79 external auditors working at Public Accounting Firms in the South Jakarta region. Non-probability sampling was utilized in this study. SmartPLS version 33 and SPSS version 25 were used to analyze study data. Leadership style had a favourable and significant influence on auditor performance, professional ethics had a positive and significant effect on auditor performance, and organizational commitment had a positive and significant effect on auditor performance, according to the findings. Furthermore, this study demonstrates that auditor performance can be influenced by leadership style, professional ethics, and corporate commitment.

This study aims to examine the effect of Islamic leadership and Islamic work ethic on performance with work motivation as an intervening variable. The variables in this study consisted of three types of variables, namely independent variables which included Islamic leadership and Islamic work ethics. The dependent variable includes performance and the intervening variable, namely work motivation. The population in this study were PNS teachers at MTs Negeri 5 Kebumen, amounting to 48 people. The sampling technique is a total sampling because the number of respondents is relatively small so that the entire population is used as a sample. The results showed that Islamic leadership had a positive effect on work motivation. Islamic work ethic has a positive effect on work motivation. Islamic leadership has a positive effect on performance. Islamic work ethic has a positive effect on performance. Work motivation can mediate between Islamic leadership and performance and work motivation can mediate between Islamic work ethics and performance.

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to tested and explained empirically about (1)the effect of leadership style on the organizational performance, (2) the effect of ethicon the organizational performance, (3) the effect of leadership style on theorganizational performance through organizational culture, and 4) the effect of ethicalon organizational performance through organizational culture. The sample was takenusing the sample proportion method. The selected respondents were employees of PTWidatra Bhakti who have worked for more than 2 years. In this case the researcher tooka sample of 174 respondents. The research hypothesis was tested using Partial LeastSquare (PLS) analysis technique. The results of this study indicated that leadershipstyle and ethics did not give a direct influence on organizational performance.Organizational culture had a role in mediated the effect of leadership and ethical styleson organizational performance. Thus the role of organizational culture had an importantrole in producing performance in the organization.

This study aims to describe the leadership style of madrasah heads in improving management ethics in MAN 1 Jambi City. This study uses qualitative methods. Data collection techniques using observations, interviews, and documentation. The results found that in improving management ethics in madrasah, the principal adhered to a democratic leadership style. The application of democratic leadership to establish management ethics goes well, resulting in positive values such as values of service orientation, integrity, commitment, discipline, cooperation and all actions based on ethical criteria, namely in terms of benefits, the fulfillment of rights, the justice side, and the maintenance side. There are three values of management ethics obtained, namely personal value as an ethical standard, terminal value (purpose); and instrumental value.

Анотація:
This study examines the greedy personality as an ethical leadership challenge in the management accounting profession. This topic is important due to top level management accountants serve as a leader and carry out their responsibility to society and association through code of ethics and ethical leadership. The discussion results show that management accountants with greedy personalities are more susceptible to fraud, which violates management accountants code of ethics such as integrity, objectivity, and professional behavior. In addition, ethical leadership values that have the potential to be violated because of greedy personality are sincerity, integrity, trustworthiness, wise in decision making, and empathy for others. Finally, this article proposes a solution that can use to reduce the impact of a greedy personality in a management accountant through (1) held social awareness program that involves all elements of the company including top level accountant management (2) supportive environment, culture, and policies from company (3) improving faith through spiritual program.

The Influence of Leadership and Work Ethics on Work Motivation in the Sibolga special chili cracker business. This study aims to determine how much influence Leadership and Work Ethics have on Work Motivation in the Sibolga special chili cracker business, the model used in this study is a quantitative descriptive method and the data collection technique uses a questionnaire, using 30 samples. And the method of analysis used is multiple linear regression analysis, and t test and f test, to find out the independent variables that affect the dependent variable, in managing this data using the SPSS for Windows version 20 tool. The results of this study indicate that leadership has a positive effect and Work motivation has a negative effect, but simultaneously all variables have a significant positive effect with a value of 0.002 on work motivation in the Sibolga special chili cracker business, which also means that the hypothesis proposed is accepted, while the results of the partial analysis of leadership have a significant influence on work ethics negative and insignificant effect on work motivation in the Sibolga special chili cracker business.

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan metode analisis jalur. Proses pengumpulan data di SMA Lab School DKI Jakarta dalam hal ini guru dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner sebagai instrumen penelitian dalam penelitian yang dipilih sebagai unit analisis dengan sampel sebanyak 87 orang yang ditentukan dengan teknik random sampling. Hasil penelitian: Pertama, ada pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap prestasi kerja; Kedua, ada pengaruh etika perilaku terhadap kinerja; ketiga, ada pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap etika perilaku.

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the influence of the role, ethics, and independence of internal auditors in implementing good university governance (GUG) with leadership style as a moderation variable. Multiple linear regression and moderation regression analysis models are used to test the hypothesis. The primary data are obtained through questionnaires that are distributed to the respondents, namely the dean and head of study program at the UniversitasBinaDarma and UniversitasMuhammadiyahPalembang. The results of this study indicate that the instruments in each variable proved to be valid and reliable. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it can be seen that simultaneously the variable of role, ethics, and independence of internal auditors have positively and significantly effect in implementing good university governance (GUG). These results provide justification or endorsement of the theoretical truths used as the theoretical references of Stewardship Theory and Attitude and Behavioral Theory. Based on the partial test, role of auditor does not significantly affect the variable of GUG, but ethics and independence variable are found to be significant in influencing GUG. The leadership style is negative and insignificant in moderating the role of internal auditors and GUC and also the independence of internal auditor and GUC. The leadership style is found to be positive and insignificant in moderating the relationship of internal auditors’ ethics and GUC.Keywords Role, Ethics, Independence, Internal Auditor, Leadership Style, Good University Governance ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh peran, etika, dan independensi auditor internal dalam menerapkan good university governance (GUG) dengan gaya kepemimpinan sebagai variabel moderasi. Model analisis regresi linier berganda dan regresi moderasi digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis. Data primer diperoleh melalui kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada responden, yaitu dekan dan ketua program studi di Universitas Bina Darma dan Universitas MuhammadiyahPalembang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa instrumen dalam setiap variabel terbukti valid dan dapat diandalkan. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis dapat dilihat bahwa secara simultan variabel peran, etika, dan independensi auditor internal berpengaruh positif dan signifikan dalam penerapan good university governance (GUG). Hasil ini memberikan pembenaran atau pengesahan kebenaran teoretis yang digunakan sebagai referensi teoretis dari Teori Penatalayanan dan Teori Sikap dan Perilaku. Berdasarkan uji parsial, peran auditor tidak secara signifikan mempengaruhi variabel GUG, tetapi variabel etika dan independensi ditemukan signifikan dalam mempengaruhi GUG. Gaya kepemimpinan negatif dan tidak signifikan dalam memoderasi peran auditor internal dan GUC dan juga independensi auditor internal dan GUC. This study aims to critically examine the content of Law Number 25/2009 concerning Public Service and contribute to highlight four main points of amendment. A decade of law implementation achieved some advancement to public. One of them is the development of various service breakthroughs that fulfilled demand and needs of users. However, public service implementation still faces compliance problems with service standards at all levels of government. Furthermore, public service has to deal with the integrity problem. This study applies a textual/documentary analysis method and is operationally carried out through qualitative content analysis of the text of Law 25/2009. The study also reveals four other problems that must be responded to the amendment to the law, namely ideology, publicness, leadership, and ethics. The principan of spirituality is an important part of ideology to meet the religious rights of users and providers and encourage to run the integrated public services. In order to assure dynamics and adaptability to change, it is necessary to shift the public service leadership approach towards political entrepreneurship. Finally, to minimize the ethical risk of leaders’ policy behavior, the revision must include regulation of public service leaderships ethics. Abstrak Studi ini bertujuan mengkaji secara kritis konten Undang-Undang Nomor 25 Tahun 2009 Tentang Pelayanan Publik (UU 25/2009) dan berkontribusi menuangkan pokok-pokok pikiran perubahannya. Satu dekade pelaksanaan UU 25/2009 mencapai sejumlah kemajuan pelayanan yang bermanfaat bagi publik. Salah satunya melalui lahirnya berbagai terobosan pelayanan publik yang merespon kebutuhan dan permintaan pengguna. Namun, penyelenggaraan pelayanan publik masih menghadapi masalah pemenuhan kepatuhan standar pelayanan publik pada seluruh tingkatan pemerintahan. Selain itu, terdapat problem integritas dalam penyelenggaraan pelayanan publik. Studi ini menggunakan metode analisis tekstual/dokumenter dan secara operasional dilaksanakan melalui analisis isi kualitatif teks UU 25/2009. Studi ini menemukan empat masalah yang harus direspon dalam perubahan UU 25/2009 di luar persoalan kepatuhan terhadap standar dan integritas, yaitu terkait ideologi, derajat/kualitas publik (publicness), kepemimpinan pelayanan publik, dan etika kepemimpinan pelayanan publik. Asas spiritualitas penting agar pelayanan publik memenuhi hak-hak spiritual pengguna dan penyelenggara dan mendorong bekerjanya pelayanan publik yang berintegritas. Demi menjamin publicness, dibutuhkan reorientasi prinsip-prinsip publik dalam penyelenggaraan pelayanan publik yang terikat dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila. Dalam merespon dinamika dan kemampuan adaptasi terhadap perubahan, maka perlu perubahan kepemimpinan pelayanan publik menuju paradigma kewirausahaan politik. Terakhir, guna meminimalisir risiko etis perilaku kebijakan pemimpin, maka revisi harus mencakup pengaturan etika kepemimpinan pelayanan publik. Purpose This paper is a regional exploratory study of implicit leadership theories in two regions of China. The purpose of this paper is to compare ideal vs Confucian leadership profiles and explore the possibility of a cultural hybrid perspective of leadership. Design/methodology/approach This study empirically explores leadership profiles through indigenous leadership research and compares implicit leadership theories of Confucian leadership and ideal leadership among a group of 128 managers representing two regions in mainland China. In doing so, measures developed by Global Leadership and Organizational Behavior Effectiveness that were translated into the local language are employed. Findings The results empirically show that a region known to have a deeper cultural entrenchment interprets Confucian ideology as ideal leadership, while a region more disconnected from the cultural center transforms its ideology based on more globally accepted leadership ideals. Practical implications The findings of this study caution leadership researchers (whether universally-etic or specifically-emic focused) from making generalizations regarding leadership. Although there might be some broad universals of leadership, context-specific leadership practices are deeply rooted between and within cultures. Originality/value This paper contributes to the literature by providing insight on implicit leadership theories in China and by proposing a culturally hybrid perspective of leadership based on globalization and cultural entrenchment forces.

But in reality at the moment the political party as the leader cadre printing whoever will advance in the regional head election contestation must go through the party vehicles, but not all of them have carried out the pattern of recruitment and regeneration as it should be, precisely what is done is kinship politics, and instant regeneration as a result many party cadres who became a leader in the area was not able to carry out the duties and responsibilities delegated to the leader maximally, instead it was proven that several regional heads stumbled over legal problems due to misusing their positions for personal, family and group interests.

The purpose of the study is to analyze factors to prioritize the development of aviation professional ethics based on virtue ethics in Indonesia and to decide which best suitable strategy to accomplish the purpose. The data was taken from 8 (eight) aviation and ethics expertise and practitioners. The method of data analysis used Analytic Network Process (ANP) and Super Decisions software was employed to process the data.The result shows that the best and most effective strategy in developing aviation professional ethics based on virtue ethics in Indonesia is by applying the Virtous Leadership. The Virtue Ethics Approach is bound much with moral examples. It means, to ensure the professional and ethical employees in an organization, first thing to do is to assure that the leaders and managers of the organization can give examples and do the obligation with high commitment based on virtues values such as courageous character, honesty, and other cardinal virtues.

PurposeTo explore how leadership behavior in Thailand relates to humanistic leadership through indigenous and cross-cultural lenses.Design/methodology/approachAnalogically based and semi-structured interviews were used. The primary focus was on factors associated with expatriate success in leading Thais in a Thai context. As such, the main sample included 24 expatriates. Two local Thai leaders were also interviewed. Qualitative interviews were analyzed inductively using NVivo.FindingsFive interrelated themes emerged from the data: guiding, bridging, emotionally supporting, socializing and indirectly communicating. These themes relate to Asian holistic thinking, Thai culture and humanistic management. Evidence for humanistic leadership was found, albeit in culture-specific ways.Research limitations/implicationsResearchers may benefit from studying local, indigenous leadership practices and determining if and how they fit etic concepts such as humanistic leadership. Limitations of this study include a small sample from only one country.Practical implicationsTo be successful, leaders should engage in humanistic leadership practices that fit the Thai context. Human resource departments may wish to focus their talent recruitment, selection and development on these behaviors.Originality/valueThis paper adds to the nascent literature on humanistic leadership by providing an indigenous as well as cross-cultural lens to understanding humanistic leadership in the context of Thailand.

Abstract Village Credit Institutions are microfinance institutions that reflect the existence of a community in society based on the principles of Balinese customary law. There are 4 problems with the hypothesis of this study, namely leadership ethics has a positive effect on the quality of financial reporting, the function of the Supervisory Body has a positive effect on the quality of financial reporting, Work experience has a positive effect on the quality of financial reporting. The level of accounting comprehension has a positive effect on the quality of financial reporting. Sampling of this study used saturated sampling with all 35 LPD units studied in Denpasar City. The analytical tool used in this research was Multiple Linear Regression. , the results of the study showed that Leadership Ethics, the function of the supervisory body, and the level of accounting understanding have a positive effect on the quality of financial reports at LPDs in Denpasar City. While work experience has no effect on the quality of financial reports at LPDs in Denpasar City. Improving the performance of LPD managers, especially the chairman, must prioritize leadership ethics. In addition, the function of the supervisory body is always improved and refers to procedures according to the rules for presenting financial statements. Accounting understanding also continues to be improved. Employee training continues to be improved because it provides more work roles for the LPDs so that the performance of the Denpasar City LPD continues to increase. Purpose The purpose of this paper is to study the effect of paternalistic leadership of the boss on the trust of the subordinate. Design/methodology/approach The present study adopted survey method to test the hypotheses. Paternalistic leadership style was measured by a 24-item scale developed by Cheng et al. (2004). Trust was measured by a four-item scale by Schoorman and Ballinger (2006). Data were collected from a sample of 253 respondents. Findings The results show that in India, paternalistic leadership style leads to subordinate trust. The result further found that though benevolent and moral leadership leads to trust, authoritarian leadership does not lead to formation of trust. Practical implications The study has important implications in areas like managing leader–member relations, leadership training and team efficacy. Originality/value Leadership researchers in Indian context have largely adopted etic approach which attempts to generalize Western leadership theory to Indian context. However, uncritical adaptation of techniques developed in Western context may not be effective in the Indian cultural environment. The concept of paternalistic leadership was developed in Chinese context, but as India scores high on paternalism, the present study uses the paternalistic leadership style to study its effect on subordinate’s trust on leader.

Corporate leaders are exhorted to espouse vision, but little is known about how vision is realized by leaders at different levels in Southeast Asian service sector. The present study tests relationships between perceived vision communication, motivation of employees and organizational alignment among supervisors, and satisfaction of their immediate subordinates at a headquarters branch of one of Southeast Asias leading hotel and resort groups. Motivation of employees directly predicts improvements in employee satisfaction. Aligning organizational systems is negatively correlated to perceived motivating behavior among hotel supervisors. Surprisingly, vision communication has no significant relationship with employee satisfaction. Future research directions and managerial implications are discussed.

AbstractThis article explores leadership paradigms employed in the Management and Leadership Training Program for Students (P2KMM) in Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana. An evaluation of the leadership paradigm is important because it plays a determining role in whether a leader would be successful or failed ethically. Using post-colonial approach, this study focuses on the moral spirit acknowledged as the Duta Wacana Values, particularly the value of ‘Service to the World.’ As a part of the research, a fieldwork was carried out both by observation of 2017 P2KMM writing materials, as well as interviews with representatives of P2KMM committee and the student staff . The finding indicates that the said value tends to be overlooked in the UKDW leadership program for students. AbstrakArtikel ini adalah studi etika kepemimpinan dengan perspektif postkolonial. Yang diteliti adalah paradigma kepemimpinan yang digunakan dalam Program Pelatihan Kepemimpinan dan Manajemen Mahasiswa(P2KMM) di Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana. Pentingnya penilaian terhadap paradigma kepemimpinan terletak pada peran menentukan dari paradigm kepemimpinan dalam keberhasilan atau kegagalan etisseorang pemimpin. Purpose The purpose of this paper is to reveal the relations between management control system (MCS), leadership style and gender ideology. It investigates how a female leader’s gendered personal values are formed, translated, produced, and reproduced in her leadership style, the subsequent MCS and organisational life. Design/methodology/approach This is an interpretive case study that uses the anthropological lens of emic and etic views. The emic view is derived from the interpretation of the company’s subjects. The etic view refers to the interpretation of outsiders (the researchers and previous literatures). The combination of these two views enables an in-depth understanding of the case. Interviews, observation and documentary analysis were used to collect the data. Findings In a gendered society, a female leader will gain full respect if she demonstrates leadership behaviours that fit her subordinates’ gendered expectations. The leader’s and followers’ common gendered cultural background will result in leadership and followership that support each other. Gendered leadership produces gendered MCS. Gendered MCS is based on gendered cultural values that direct the behaviour of organisational members to focus on certain competencies based on a single gender perspective. In turn, the gendered MCS sustains and reinforces the gendered leadership. Research limitations/implications The study does not focus on the potential value of including feminine measures in MCS. In the future, MCS literatures need to explore the strategic advantages of introducing measures into the system in order to develop feminine competencies in organisation. Furthermore, the processes by which MCS reinforces gendered practices in a society are not explored in the study. Therefore, another important next step is to examine the patterns of the reinforcement processes and their magnitude in strengthening the biases beyond organisational boundaries (e.g. in professional and industrial practices). Practical implications This study encourages leaders to consider the use of masculine and feminine characters in MCS to increase organisational effectiveness, build a more humane organisational atmosphere, establish organisational cohesion and harmonise different personal aspirations. Originality/value MCS literatures tend to hide gender bias in the system. This study offers insight on how MCS translates, produces and reproduces societal gendered practices in organisational life.

Given the importance of understanding the context of management issues in the world, this article discusses the role of both emic (developing culture-specific concepts) and etic (applying concepts across cultures) research in the international management literature. This paper proposes a more comprehensive mixed methods research cycle that can provide researchers with a deeper understanding of the context in under-researched countries. Using a decolonial lens, this theoretical paper proposes that an emic-etic-emic cycle is the best way to disaggregate contextual issues in organizational research, particularly when dealing with human issues in management. By examining a research project on leadership in Africa and the African diaspora from decolonial perspective, our proposed emic-etic-emic cycle (1) stresses the importance of using an emic approach in addition to the dominant etic approach in cross-cultural management; (2) provides researchers with a deeper understanding of context in under-researched countries; and (3) contributes to decolonial approaches to management, which call for a symmetrical dialogue across borders which decentralizes the dominant Western approach, and provides a deeper understanding of management from an indigenous and local perspective. Contextualizing research using the emic-etic-emic cycle can enhance rigor and relevance of the research.

This paper responds to recent calls in the leadership studies literature for anthropologically informed empirical research on leadership phenomena in non-Western and non-Anglophone settings. The authors have worked extensively on rural development projects in Laos and draw on ethnographic ‘observant-participation’ and interview data to explore how leadership is construed in a contested terrain where traditional concepts intersect with those of official government and international development agencies. A theoretical discussion of linguistic relativity and the socially constitutive nature of language in general is offered as background justification for studying the language of leadership in context. The anthropological distinction between etic and emic operations is also introduced to differentiate between various interpretative positions that can be taken in relation to the fieldwork and data discussed in this paper. The study shows how difficult it can be for native Lao speakers to find words to describe leadership or give designations to ‘leaders’ outside of officially sanctioned semantic and social fields. A key finding of the study is that, viewed from the perspective of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, authority and leadership are coextensive. This social fact is reflected in the linguistic restrictions on what can and cannot be described as leadership in Laos.

Abstract The use of im/politeness in political discourse has attracted relatively little attention in im/politeness scholarship (Tracy 2017). The study examines how the character of a leader may be intra-/cross-culturally reshaped, in translated drama, through the use of im/politeness strategies. To this end, the study examines the use of im/politeness strategies in two Greek versions (Belies 1997; Karthaios 2004) of William Shakespeare’s play Julius Caesar. Etic and emic approaches to the data show differences in the way the character of Brutus is portrayed, by the translators’ manipulating im/politeness strategies in his discourse. The study uses the ‘horizontal’ dimension of intimacy/distance and the ‘vertical’ dimension of power (Spencer-Oatey 1996) to show that the first translation (Karthaios 2004) shows Brutus to be making use of a less impressive persuasive strategy when addressing the public, the second translation (Belies 1997) seems to show Brutus’ potential to express intimacy towards the public, which made the persuasive force of his discourse more convincing. The study shows that im/politeness is a significant tool in the hands of translators who shape the identity of the leader and that translated versions of a playtext can fruitfully show preferred patterns of behaviour which may be pointing to cultural patterns of interaction.

Inappropriate behavior and low morale in managing the environment will cause damage. For this reason, a concept of human leadership is needed for nature which can be used as a guide for environmental management. This article aims to examine the concept of khalîfah fî al-ard in environmental ethics perspective. This article is the result of an in-depth study of relevant libraries. This article argues that the concept of khalîfah fî al-ard originating from the Qur'an is very relevant to environmental ethics biosentrism and ecocentrism. The concept of khalîfah fî al-ard which is interpreted as the representative of Allah on earth should be a human starting point in managing and maintaining the environment, so that this concept is one of the strategic means of structuring and maintaining the environment. The concept of khalîfah fî al-ard can be realized into a pro-environment movement. It is very important for us as Muslims to understand the essential meaning of ourselves as khalîfah fî al-ard who cares the earth from damage.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of Effec Leadership ethic, humman resources competency and knewledge of accounting on the ouality of financial report at BPR of Mengwi-Abiansemal, Badung District. This research was conducted in all BPR of Mengwi-Abiansemal, Badung Dsitrict. Sampling method used porpusive random sampling with 21 BPR. Data collection with questionnaires with analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The results show that leadership ethic have a positive significant effect on quality of financial report at BPR of Mengwi-Abiansemal, Badung Dsitrict, Humman resources competency have significant effect on quality of financial report at BPR of Mengwi-Abiansemal, Badung Dsitrict. Knewledge of accounting have a ssignificant effect on quality of financial report at BPR of Mengwi-Abiansemal, Badung Dsitrict.

Penelitian ini meneliti bagaimana peran ethical leadership dan ethical ambiguity dalam mengurangi stres kerja serta dan dampaknya terhadap kualitas kinerja karyawan. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengisi kesenjangan pada penelitian sebelumnya dengan membuktikan apakah pemimpin etis mampu mempengaruhi ethical ambiguity, stres kerja dan kualitas kinerja pada industri makanan cepat saji. Sampel pengambilan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 149 karyawan restoran cepat saji yang berhubungan langsung dengan pelanggan. Metode analisis yang digunakan Structural Equation Model (SEM) dan menggunakan Patrial Least Square (PLS) untuk menguji kekuatan dari pengaruh antar variabel. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa pandangan karyawan yang berhubungan langsung dengan pelanggan tentang perilaku ethical leadership oleh pemimpin mereka terkait dengan tingkat ethical ambiguity dan stres kerja yang lebih rendah. Ethical ambiguity secara positif berpengaruh terhadap stres kerja, yang secara negatif berpengaruh terhadap kualitas kinerja karyawan yang berhubungan langsung dengan pelanggan. Ethical leadership yang dirasakan secara positif mempengaruhi kualitas kinerja. Berdasarkan temuan, implikasi disediakan untuk teori dan manajemen, dan arah untuk penelitian di masa depan.

Purpose Utilizing a paradox perspective, the purpose of this paper is to investigate the leadership-followership dynamic in foreign firms in China, specifically, the extent to which Yin-Yang leadership behaviors of Japanese expatriates and cosmopolitanism of Chinese employees influence employee commitment. Design/methodology/approach Data were collected through an online survey of Chinese employees who directly report to a Japanese supervisor in a Japanese subsidiary in China. Based on responses from 97 Chinese employees in three Japanese subsidiaries in China, the authors test if their cosmopolitan orientation and perceived Yin-Yang leadership behaviors of Japanese supervisors are related to employee commitment. Findings Yin-Yang leadership and cosmopolitan followership have a positive effect on employee commitment. Further, cosmopolitanism moderates the link between Yin-Yang leadership and employee commitment such that the follower’s cosmopolitanism compensates for lower levels of Yin-Yang leadership, especially a relative lack of Yin leadership behaviors. Research limitations/implications Results suggest that Yin-Yang leadership and cosmopolitan followership work together as a two-way street of cultural adaptability to build employee commitment, highlighting the interplay between leadership and followership in multinational enterprises. Future research should attempt to further refine the Yin-Yang leadership construct, and to gain a larger sample representing multiple expatriate nationalities to corroborate the relationships found in this study. Originality/value The study applies a context-based approach to developing culturally relevant leadership, through analyzing both the emic and etic concepts of culture in China. In doing so, the authors extend the application of paradox theories to the cross-cultural leadership literature utilizing the Yin-Yang principle, which is particularly relevant in societal contexts where rapid and dramatic change brings to the fore competing values, needs and employee preferences.

The validity of the data was tested using triangulation. ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the influence of the role, ethics, and independence of internal auditors in implementing good university governance (GUG) with leadership style as a moderation variable. Multiple linear regression and moderation regression analysis models are used to test the hypothesis. The primary data are obtained through questionnaires that are distributed to the respondents, namely the dean and head of study program at the UniversitasBinaDarma and UniversitasMuhammadiyahPalembang. The results of this study indicate that the instruments in each variable proved to be valid and reliable. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it can be seen that simultaneously the variable of role, ethics, and independence of internal auditors have positively and significantly effect in implementing good university governance (GUG). These results provide justification or endorsement of the theoretical truths used as the theoretical references of Stewardship Theory and Attitude and Behavioral Theory. Based on the partial test, role of auditor does not significantly affect the variable of GUG, but ethics and independence variable are found to be significant in influencing GUG. The leadership style is negative and insignificant in moderating the role of internal auditors and GUC and also the independence of internal auditor and GUC. The leadership style is found to be positive and insignificant in moderating the relationship of internal auditors’ ethics and GUC.

Research on servant leadership is interesting to study, because it involves virtue, ethics, morals and ideal leadership. The results of the discussion of scientists gave birth to the type of leadership in organizational theory that developed. Scholars debate the theory of servant leadership in an organizational context. The main concern is considered suitable, worthy, and valuable for organizational success, because the characteristics of servant leadership focus on listening, empathy, healing, awareness, persuasion, conceptualization, foresight, openness, commitment to growth, and building community, which are prerequisites for organizational progress and success. . The purpose of this study is to identify servant leadership theory based on empirical studies, involving population and sample sizes, the results of which show its influence on organizational goals. The analysis method uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to assess how it works, its implementation and its influence on organizational dynamics and performance. The process of skinning from the population to the end of 35 studies in empirical studies revealed servant leadership theory: generally accepted in the organizational context; able to improve organizational performance; not suitable to be practiced in certain fields; and can contribute to organizational goals and shared success. This study contributes to the methodology of the SLR approach to organization and leadership, highlighting and mapping the influence and workings of servant leadership by looking at new research topics.Penelitian tentang servant leadership menarik dikaji, karena menyangkut pada kebajikan, etika, moral dan kepemimpinan ideal. Hasil diskusi ilmuan melahirkan tipe kepemimpinan dalam teori organisasi yang berkembang. Para ilmuan memperdebatkan teori servant leadership dalam konteks organisasi. Perhatian utama dinilai cocok, layak, dan berharga untuk kesuksesan organisasi, karena karakteristik dari servant leadership fokus pada mendengarkan, empati, penyembuhan, kesadaran, persuasi, konseptualisasi, kejelian, keterbukaan, komitmen untuk pertumbuhan, dan membangun komunitas, menjadi syarat kemajuan dan kesuksesan organisasi. Tujuan penelitian ini mengidentifikasi teori servant leadership berdasarkan studi empiris, melibatkan ukuran populasi dan sampel, hasil yang menunjukkan pengaruhnya terhadap tujuan organisasi. Metode analisis menggunakan Systematic Literature Review (SLR) guna menilai cara kerja, penerapan dan pengaruhnya terhadap dinamika dan kinerja organisasi. Анотація:
This research was conducted at LPD Se-Subdistrict Gianyar which uses technology in recording financial statements with a population of 34 LPD in Gianyar Subdistrict with 215 employees. The study sample used a purposive sampling method with a sample number 150 respondents. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis with data collection methods using questionnaires The results of the research on leadership ethics have a positive and significant effect on the quality of reports with sig 0.000 <0.05. Human resource competence has a positive and significant effect on the quality of reports with sig 0.004 <0.05. The use of information technology has a positive and significant effect on the quality of reports with a significance of 0.000 <0.05.

Financial reporting quality has an important meaning for the company, which provides information about the financial condition needed by users to make decisions. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of leadership ethics, the function of the supervisory body, human resource capacity and organizational commitment to the quality of financial reporting at Lembaga Perkreditan Desa on Denpasar City. The population in this study were all employees who worked on LPD Denpasar City, 144 respondents were used, consisting of the Head of the LPD, the supervisory body, the secretary and treasurer. The sampling method used was purposive sampling technique. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the variables of leadership ethics, human resource capacity and organizational commitment had a positive effect on the quality of financial reporting, while the function of the supervisory body had no effect on the quality of financial reporting in LPD on Denpasar City.

Abstrak: Pengaruh Whistleblowing System, Internal Control, Leadership dan Budaya Organisasi terhadap Fraud Prevention. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh whistleblowing system, internal control, leadership dan budaya organisasi terhadap fraud prevention. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sejumlah 242 pengelola tempat wisata mangrove di Madura. Dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, kuesioner disebarkan kepada 161 anggota kelompok sadar wisata (pokdarwis) yang mengelola tempat wisata mangrove di Madura. Analisis regresi linier berganda dilakukan untuk mengetahui besarnya pengaruh variabel independen terhadap variabel dependen. Hasil riset menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan antara variabel whistleblowing system dan budaya organisasi terhadap fraud prevention. Hal ini terjadi akibat sistem whistleblowing yang belum memadai untuk perlindungan pelapor terkait tindakan pencegahan fraud. Selain itu, belum terbentuk budaya saling percaya, serta etika dan integritas yang baik. Sebaliknya, variabel internal control dan leadership memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap fraud prevention. Hal ini akibat adanya pemantauan secara berkala untuk meminimalisir terjadinya tindakan kecurangan dan pemimpin yang menjaga perilaku etis dalam menjalankan roda organisasi.Kata Kunci: Pencegahan Fraud, Sistem Whistleblowing, Pengendalian Internal, Kepemimpinan, Budaya OrganisasiAbstract: The Influence of Whistleblowing System, Internal Control, Leadership and Organizational Culture on Fraud Prevention. This study aims to determine the effect of the whistleblowing system, internal control, leadership and organizational culture on fraud prevention. In this research, the population consisted of 242 managers of mangrove tourism sites in Madura. Questionnaires were delivered to 161 members of a tourism awareness organisation (pokdarwis) that manages mangrove tourism sites in Madura using the purposive sampling technique. Multiple linear regression analysis was conducted to determine the magnitude of the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The results of the research show that there is no relationship between the variable whistleblowing system and organizational culture on fraud prevention. This is due to the inadequate whistleblowing system for the protection of whistleblowers related to fraud prevention measures. In addition, there is no culture of mutual trust, as well as good ethics and integrity. On the other hand, internal control and leadership variables have a positive influence on fraud prevention. This is due to regular monitoring to minimize the occurrence of fraudulent acts and leaders who maintain ethical behavior in running the organization.Keywords: Fraud Prevention, Whistleblowing System, Internal Control, Leadership, Organizational Culture

Kepemimpinan adalah suatu mekanisme untuk mendukung atau memotivasi sekelompok orang untuk bekerja menuju suatu tujuan bersama, yang dapat mengarahkan karyawan dan pekerja dengan strategi untuk mencapai suatu visi. Dalam sebuah perusahaan, selain memiliki seorang pemimpin tentunya juga ada karyawannya. Kinerja karyawan merupakan salah satu indikator yang membuat perusahaan tetap produktif dalam menjalankan usahanya. Inovasi tambahan juga sangat penting untuk pengembangan komponen dalam suatu perusahaan karena dengan berkembangnya zaman pasti ada keinginan untuk mengembangkan produk dengan menambahkan setiap inovasi baru. Seseorang dalam bekerja juga harus memiliki motivasi. Motivasi internal atau motivasi internal merupakan sesuatu yang harus dimiliki oleh individu-individu dalam perusahaan. Motivasi internal adalah dorongan yang datang dari dalam diri seseorang untuk melakukan sesuatu. Pemimpin juga harus memiliki etika karena pemimpin harus menjadi panutan bagi bawahannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepemimpinan etis terhadap kinerja karyawan dan inovasi inkremental dengan motivasi internal sebagai variabel intervening. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Industri Kecil Menengah (IKM) di Kabupaten Klaten dengan sampel sebanyak 192 responden. Sesuai dengan kerangka teori yang dibangun, maka alat analisis yang digunakan adalah Smart PLS. hasil penelitian ini antara lain. kepemimpinan etis berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. kepemimpinan etis berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap inovasi inkremental. kepemimpinan etis berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi internal. motivasi internal berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. motivasi internal berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap inovasi inkremental. Motivasi internal dapat memediasi secara positif dan signifikan antara etika kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Motivasi internal dapat memediasi secara positif dan signifikan antara kepemimpinan etis dan inovasi tambahan. Keterbatasan penelitian ini adalah hanya menggunakan 2 variabel terikat sehingga ruang lingkup penelitian tidak cukup luas. Peneliti selanjutnya diharapkan dapat menggunakan variabel lain seperti inovasi radikal yang akan menambah hasil penelitian yang bervariasi dan mengetahui perubahan inovasi secara besar-besaran pada suatu perusahaan.
