Повний текст джерелаThe republic of guinea, following the example of most african countries, is a country where a plurality of national languages and foreing languages coexist. All the studies that looked into the problem of the languages contain more than fifteen or so local languages. This coexistence does not occur without consequences. A status and corpus analysis shows an obvious imbalance between french and guinean languages. French is a exclusive language of the administrative, financial and economic power, of the writing socities power : school system, news papers, correspondence, relations between companies and with the administration, command of the modern technology. The national languages are reserved inter communications and are very seldom resquested for the economic development of country. French as it is spoken in guinea is stamped with phonetic, lexical, syntactic particularities that highly depend on local languages which are guinean native tongues. It has been necessary to consider an arranging of the different languages to facilitate a social intreaction between french and nationallanguags. To be effective, such an arrangement would have to : - define clearly the connections between french and national languages ; - increase the accent on the effective integration of national languages in the country's main branches of industry, in order to guarantee their promotion ; - avoid the promotion of many languages at once as it was the case before. In this perspective, it seems to me that three langua franca (maninka, soso, pular) would have priority considering the advatages that they present : a good number of speakers for each, communication among the languages, and completed research projects on each of them ; - fanally, avoid improvisations caused of the linguistic politic failure of sekou toure's system

Повний текст джерелаThe problematic notion of identity in French-speaking African novels, through the question of paradigm, aims at circumventing one difficulty : the inertia of a controversy subjected to the historical contingencies at the origin of the francophone world. Thus emerges the objective of considering the sphere of the novel in all its constituent structures, that is sociological, religious, institutional, historical and linguistic. The narrative structure is modelled on the paradigm of the "donsomana" and the "Soundjata-fasa" through the significant presence of esoteric oratories like proverbs, as well as the mythical couple man-woman, the pre-eminent heroes of the oral tales of griots. The consequence of this resourcefulness can hence be appreciated in the epistemological renewal of the founding aspects of realism and fiction : characters and setting. The second discriminating notion of identity, which reveals the profound nature of the writing paradigm, is the language spoken by the protagonists or narrators. Hence, the language of the novel, in its singularity, is primarily an echo of the system of representation. Ahmadou Kourouma's "rape" of the French language, like the "fraternity of huts" of the Mandingue languages and the French language in the novels of Massa Makan Diabaté, are, together with the "classicism" of Djibril Tamsir Niane, linguistic concepts which, by claiming an identity affirmation, transpire into the political field. These two aspects of the aesthetic model in the novels of writers of Mandingue origin or culture essentially constitute the prolegomena of ethno-criticism as endogenous method

Повний текст джерелаPepel, a Niger-Congo language of the Atlantic group, is spoken in the Northwest of Guinea-Bissau and in Casamance (Senegal). It is a minority language with an almost non-existent documentation. The present work is therefore the first description of Pepel, Biombo dialect. At the phonological level, the noteworthy phenomena is the existence of 10 short-vowel phonemes (as opposed to long vowels) wich present a +/- ATR feature but do not trigger vowel harmony. The second part of this work is dedicated to noun morphology (including loan nouns) as well as the morphology of pronouns, nominal determiners, adjectives, numerals, adverbs, prepositions, subordinate conjunctions and interjections. Pepel is a nominal class language with a rich class agreement system. The language’s verbal morphology is rather complex given that its TAM markers’ paradigm is composed of various types of morphemes (affixes, free morphemes and auxiliaries) and a copula. Futhermore, the morphosyntactic status of every identified verbal morpheme as well as its most common value is described. The last part is dedicated to syntax. Having described the various types of noun phrases, the simple utterance structure is presented, followed by the study of the expression of degrees of comparison, as well as the description of the phenomenon of topicalisation and focus, which are likely to modify the canonical structure of the language (SVO). Finally, in the appendix are, a pepel-French lexicon of about two thousand entries and some texts, taken from consersations, transcribed and interlineary glossed

Повний текст джерелаThe triumph of occidental values since the shock of colonisation has obliged the Malinke griots of West Africa to reposition themselves in front of a fragmented society that tends to contest the usefulness of traditional values. Thus, the question of their status and legitimacy needs to be raised. This thesis is organised in two main parts and aims to determine the present role of griots today, not only among their original socio-cultural environment but also as migrants, in a changing and multicultural urban environment. The first part intends to analyse Malinke griots who live and "practice" in Mali, in order to understand them in their everyday traditional environment. The second part discusses the "uprooted" griots of Paris in particular who have decided to conquest the world
Agoli-Agbo, Eliane Olga. "Les particules énonciatives du fon : les particules d'insistance." Paris, INALCO, 2009. http://www.theses.fr/2009INAL0022.
Повний текст джерелаThis thesis has studied how six Fon enunciative particles work : the six emphatic particles h. . . N "hence", sin "but", mÀ "in", lá "I insist", lóo "I am warning you", and nÁ "there". Followinf Antoine Culioli's theory of Predicative and Enunciative Operations (TOPE), each of the six particles has been studied as a marker of one or several enunciative operations. The study of these little words, often forgotten or neglected in descriptions of the Fon language, but abundantly used in everyday conversations, has been conducted each time in such a way as to examine, not only the whole of the use of the particle in the language, but also the possible links of the particle under study with terms that are phonetically identical. We have thus been able to show the transcategorial properties of some Fon lexemes (polysemy), but most of all, to reveal the polyfunctionality of several Fon emphatic particles. This study has been divided into two parts : the first one, devoted to the individual study of the five following emphatic particles h. . . N, sin, mÀ, lá and lóo. This has enabled us to identify the specific nature of the operation marked by each particles, its contribution to the construction of the meaning of the utterance it marks, which values, it gives to this utterance according to the contexts where it is used. This part is completed with a comparative study of the five particles, aimed at showing their various and specific uses. The second part has been devoted to the study of the particle nÀ. This particle has complex and various uses and plays a remarkable role in ostensive focus. When it functions as a discourse particle, it is able to combine with all the other five emphatic particles that have been studied in the first part

Повний текст джерела/Historical and comparative linguistics plays an important role in the study of a society’s cultural history. In this context, some specialists follow the method of lexical reconstruction "Wörter und Sachen" (Words and Things). In order to deal with the problems that occur in the application of this methodology, we found it useful to study the lexicon of a recent technique for which the history is quite well known. Such a research shows how the vocabulary is constituted and identifies the traces that might be left by the history of the technique itself. We chose the vocabulary of aluminium casting in Zarma and Hausa of Niger. The study testifies of an empirical and sociolinguistic approach, while the vocabulary is explored starting from the onomasiological principal of lexical change. The main part consists of an analysis of the vocabularies collected in the field through a new typology of lexical change. In order to give the reader the occasion to familiarise with the linguistic system of the two languages, a brief grammatical description is given. The study of some particular cases shows how social aspects influence the constitution of the lexicon. The comparison of the casting vocabularies in the languages of Niger with those observed in other West-African countries gives the opportunity to reflect upon the nature of casting vocabulary on a larger scale. The last part of the study takes into account other technical vocabularies in order to develop a global theory.

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis is the first book-length description of the Portuguese Creole spoken on the island of Fogo (Cape Verde, West-Africa), spoken by most of the 40,000 island’s inhabitants as well as by its diaspora. This work provides an insight on the linguistic structure of this variety, based on data collected during fieldwork occurred between 2016 and 2019. This study comprises with nine chapters, namely (1) introduction, (2) phonology, (3) syllabic structure, (4), stress, (5) nominal morphology, (6) verbal morphology, (7) syntax, (8) lexical peculiarities and (9) conclusion. This thesis brings new elements both to the synchronic and diachronic analysis of Cape Verdean Creole. At the same time, it contributes with comparative data for the reconstruction of the Upper Guinea Portuguese Creole (UGPC) language family. These data show in particular that Fogo Cape Verdean emerged quite early as a distinct variety among UGPCs and illustrate the main characteristics of this variety. This thesis also provides historical data on the discovery, settlement, trade connections, maritime interactions, social structure and sociolinguistics of the island of Fogo, and shows the role played by these elements in the development and shaping of Fogo’s unique linguistic makeup
