Virtual Reality is one of the information and communication technologies which started to develop in Indonesia. For this study the exploratory design approach was used to investigate the perceptions of lecturers regarding the teaching and learning adoption of VR with some indicators the benefits, ease of use, Challenges to the Adoption and skill of VR, that VR has the potential to enrich with interactive simulations and stunning visuals that immerse students in authentic learning experiences also it can push the boundaries of the traditional classroom to be engaging, creative, and responsive to the needs of the student.

The presence of well-known universities outside Indonesia has attracted sig-nificant interests, not only from Indonesian residents but also from residents of other countries. Particularly, western universities are highly demanded and the competition is rather fierce when students attempt to register and take on the entrance tests. Only the top percentile of students seems to be accepted. Because of limitations in space and personnel, those western uni-versities decided to expand their market base into developing countries by getting closer to their potential customers. With the technological advance-ment and push toward the use of the internet and online learning, undoubt-edly, international universities, including Indonesian-based universities with mixtures of curricula across countries, have become a new trend in Indone-sia’s higher educational institutions. With the growing numbers of students applying to international programs at various universities in Indonesia, it is apparent that Indonesians are more assertive to receive internationalized standards. Thus, matching consumer behaviors, and expectations in the local market would be indispensable in trying to ensure the smooth running and operational activities of the international universities in Indonesia. This pa-per attempts to focus on lecturers/professors, as the pool of human re-sources/capital in the everlasting competition within the international uni-versities in Indonesia. The focus on lecturers includes issues on human skills, ability in teaching, and teaching delivery, perhaps including research skills and research ability. It is uncertain whether the lecturers’ capacity, ability, competence, skills, knowledge, and all attributes of the lecturers to handle international classes are sufficient and fit to the consumer expectations. Re-search is conducted by gathering data from primary and secondary sources in several locations of international universities in Jakarta, such as lecturers, students, and parents. It is expected that such research would eventually the importance of lecturers’ competencies in handling international classes with international standards.

In February 2020, the Indonesian Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs noted that in the last four years, 81,686 cooperatives were dissolved, leaving 123,048 active cooperatives. This case is a huge challenge for the government to overcome. Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association (APJII) stated that the number of internet users in Indonesia reached 196.7 million in the middle of 2020. Meanwhile, data from Google & Temasek showed purchasing products via e-Commerce in Indonesia reached US$ 10.9 billion in 2017 and continuously increased in 2020. Most cooperatives in Indonesia run business conventionally with manual transactions, limited time, traditional logistics, and conventional membership administration. Nowadays, the institution with tens of thousands of members no longer effectively runs cooperative conventionally in a disruptive era. A conventional cooperative at a private university in Jakarta was observed in the study. There are tens of thousands of students and staff at the university. Three research questions arise, such as what can not be adequately solved in a traditional cooperative, what tools are used in digital cooperatives, and what shape can be used in the digital cooperative system model to solve issues. This study proposes a framework model in developing a digital cooperative to accommodate a huge amount of membership and enhance business scope. The research identified technology needed to overcome matters cannot be dealt with in a conventional cooperative. It provided a digital cooperative frameworks model that impacts value creation, value capture, and value delivery, especially in higher education.

Nowadays, the internet has become a necessity in social and economic life that provides convenience in communication and social interaction. In addition, the presence of the internet supported by advances in digital technology is expected to provide business opportunities. Internet access has become easier with the rapid use of cell phones/mobile phones. This study aims to examine the effect of internet use on entrepreneurship opportunities in Indonesia through descriptive analysis methods and binary logistic regression. This research uses data from the 2019 National Socio-Economic Survey. Entrepreneurs in this research are limited to individuals who seek to be assisted by permanent workers or paid workers in the age range of 25 to 44 years. Of the 348735 samples that became the unit of analysis, there were 7108 who were entrepreneurs or about 2.04 percent. This study found that individuals who use the internet have a higher chance of becoming an entrepreneur than individuals who do not use the internet and this finding is statistically significant. In addition, the level of education significantly affects individuals to become entrepreneurs, but individuals with higher education have a lower tendency to become entrepreneurs than those with high school education and below.

This study aims to explore how changes in community preferences, shari’ah economic development through the tridharma of higher education and its contribution to the development of shari’ah economics. This study was conducted at the UIN Alauddin Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. This study applied library research. Data collection techniques in this study using discourse from books, articles, magazines, journals, and web (internet). Furthermore, the data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, among others, data reduction, data display and conclusion. The results show that there is a change in community preferences caused by external factors (changes in the social and economic environment) and internal factors in higher education in responding to community dynamics. Higher education can be used as a vehicle in the development of shari’ah Economy through the application of higher education tridharma. Furthermore, higher education also takes a significant role in developing scientific aspects and human resources in the field of Sharia Economics in Indonesia.

This study investigates digital inclusion in the form of internet users, education, economic growth, and CO2 emissions to understand the digital economy and green economy in Indonesia. This research examines data from 2000 until 2020 to be able to produce "autoregressive vectors" that may be used to evaluate the causal link between variables. Based on secondary data from the World Bank, the following multivariate regression model was used to investigate the causal link between Internet Users, Economic Growth, Education, and Carbon dioxide expenditure in Indonesia. Carbon Dioxide encourages investment in Education to solve environmental problems so that the higher levels of CO2 in Indonesia's air encourage the Indonesian government to invest in education in terms of CO2 problems. Where education itself significantly increases public awareness so the relationship between education and CO2 has a significant negative correlation. And education drives future education and significantly boosts economic growth. High economic growth or a more established economy actually has a significant negative correlation with CO2 levels, which means that a green economy can be applied in Indonesia. The interesting thing is that there is a significant positive relationship between internet users and the increase in CO2 levels in the air in Indonesia. This is very interesting because the use of the internet in Indonesia has an impact on the business sector and ordering or online shopping increases the use of transportation for shipping goods which actually increases CO2 levels in Indonesia's air.

Students are experiencing difficulty with online learning because it requires infrastructure, such as internet access that needs to be purchased. This study examined whether online lectures increase or decrease family/student expenses on education using a qualitative approach. Data on education expenditures were collected by interviewing 736 students at State Islamic University (UIN) Antasari, Indonesia before the COVID-19 pandemic and 761 students during the occurrence. Also, interviews were used to collect data on opportunity costs during the pandemic. The results showed that the student/family average expenditure on education at State Islamic University in Indonesia (PTKIN) before the occurrence was IDR 20,420,708 per year. Meanwhile, during the pandemic, their expenses decreased to an average of IDR 15,788,989 per year, indicating a decline of IDR 4,631,719 or 22.68%.

The COVID-19 pandemic is causing unexpected challenges for all education systems. Several online platforms launched by the Ministry of Education and Culture maximize available e-learning solutions and further develop lecturers' digital skills and competencies. This study aims to analyze the comparative needs of Indonesia's current digital higher education environment and conduct an in-depth study of digital learning in Indonesia's higher education environment. This study also outlines the mitigation plans, innovative strategies adopted, and implications and recommendations for universities in Indonesia. The research method uses discourse analysis with literature and news sources to assess the impact, challenges, and opportunities of higher education during the pandemic in Indonesia. This study found that the COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on higher education in Indonesia; Both lecturers and students at universities face many challenges in the teaching and learning process. The effect is worse in Eastern Indonesia due to poor internet connectivity for online learning. In terms of mitigating online learning, the impact is still unknown. The limitations of this study are that the literature and news studies are not comprehensive because the current pandemic crisis has not ended. This study can provide an overview of the limitations of a more empirical study that will be carried out on how the current crisis affects the learning process of higher education in Indonesia.

Blended learning is a combination of synchronous and asynchronous learning. Implementing blended learning in mathematics learning has some problems, one of which is proving mathematics. This study aims to describe the obstacles to implementing blended learning in universities. The research was carried out at two universities in Indonesia located on the islands of Sumatra and Java. The subject of this research is the lecturer of the Mathematics Education Study Program at the two universities. The data collection technique used is an open questionnaire. The data were analyzed qualitatively and descriptively quantitatively. The study's results stated that lecturers faced many obstacles in implementing blended learning, mainly Internet, Time, Competence, and Student Personality.

Background: Women use the Internet more often to access health information than men.
Objective: This study aims to analyze the socio-demographic effect on women's access to health information via the Internet in Indonesia.
Methods: This study uses data from the 2017 Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS). The sample include 19,389 women aged 15-54 years. The independent variables include age, education, working status, ownership index, type and area of residence. The dependent variable is the use of the internet to access health information. Data analysis with Chi-Square and binary logistics using the Stata application version 15.1.
Results: Education level, age, wealth index, working status, type and area of residence were found to influence the behavior of Indonesian women in searching for health information through the Internet. Health information is sought more frequently by women who are younger, highly educated than older people and by those who have higher levels of wealth and status as working women. In addition, the search for health information is more often carried out in urban areas than in rural areas, and more in western Indonesia than in eastern Indonesia.
Conclusion: Access to health information by Indonesian women on the Internet is influenced by various socio-demographic factors, taking into account sociodemographic characteristics and differences, all women should have equal access to reliable health information

Regulation of the Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia No.1 of 2013 explain that the Indonesian government continues to strive to alleviate poverty and improve the welfare of the population through community empowerment activities. The 4.0 industrial revolution era triggered the digital technology trend, especially the internet to support product marketing, e.g. by reducing marketing costs and labor costs. However, the lack of technological knowledge is undeniable on a number of Indonesian population, such as MSME entrepreneurs of Outer Baduy traditional craftsmen in the Kanekes village. Government support is needed through ongoing activities with higher education institutions to provide education and assistance on product marketing (internet marketing). Community service held by lecturers from the Faculty of Economics, UPN Veteran Jakarta, aims to empower and raise the knowledge of the Outer Baduy community regarding internet marketing education and practice using social media. The approach used in this activity consists of talks, module creation, tutorials and practice on product marketing strategies using social media such as Instagram and Facebook. Based on the questionnaire analysis results, it is identified that the understanding of social media features for the promotion, networking and marketing expansion from participants has reached 68,57%.

During the COVID-19 pandemic and the Industry 4.0 era, the role of the Internet became extremely important for connecting the society. Unfortunately, heterogeneous geographical, socioeconomic and demographic characteristics may create different roles in using the Internet, leading to a digital divide. Utilizing National Socioeconomic Survey (Susenas) data collected early in the COVID-19 pandemic, this study employs binary logistic regression to investigate the effect of education through school participation on internet use in underdeveloped regions in Indonesia. The findings show that only one-fifth of students in underdeveloped regions are using the Internet. Looking deeper, school participation plays a prominent role for students online. The more educated the students, the more likely they are to use the Internet. Moreover, the possibility of a student using the Internet is increasing for students are getting the aid of the Program Indonesia Pintar (PIP), who live in households where the head of the household has particular characteristics, which are being male, of non-productive age, having higher education, working in the non-agricultural sector, having higher socioeconomic status and where fewer students live in the household. However, this study also finds that student gender has no significant impact on internet use. Promoting and providing proportional support by the government in terms of internet use based on school participation is principal due to the existence of the digital divide. It will also be very interesting when further research may account for other potential variables from the supply side that could explain the internet use of students in underdeveloped regions of Indonesia.

<p><span lang="EN-US">Online teaching has been pushed further as the best solution that addresses the challenges of colleges and universities closure during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study intended to disclose students’ perceptions of the online teaching. A quantitative survey approach was employed to collect data from a total of 175 students which were conveniently established from amongst students enrolled in academic year 2020/2021 at the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Department of Musamus University, Indonesia. Applying the SPSS software version 16 as the tool, obtained data were quantitatively analyzed using descriptive analysis of frequencies and percentages. The results showed the majority of respondent were disagreeing with the facts that they have an access to personal devices and that they can easily access to both internet and online classes. The majority of respondent were agreeing with the facts that teaching materials were well-planned and that various learning strategies were used to help students understand. The majority of respondent were agreeing with the facts that students were given opportunity to raise and answer the questions and that feedback given on students’ work are very helpful. Lecturers need to reach out and check students’ conditions before starting online teaching.</span></p>

The fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0) has become a major topic worldwide. The era of Industry 4.0 stimulates the advancement of science and technology through the Internet of Things (IoT), the Internet of Services (IoS), the Internet of Data (IoD) and Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) which resulting in the creation of smart machines or autonomous robots. The era of Industry 4.0 gets rapid response worldwide, Indonesia is no exception. The Indonesian government appeals to the nation of Indonesia technology literacy in all aspects, especially on the aspect of education. Higher education is the driving force for change. One of the efforts undertaken by universities to prepare for the fourth industrial revolution can be done by character strengthening, so that science is not value-free and there is no statement that human as a robot with no conscience. Islamic religious education plays an important role in controlling the power of Industry 4.0 through character education. The result of this research is that character building is not only done in a formal education (educational institution), but non-formal education (parents, friends, and organization) also gives a big impact to the students. In facing the era of Industry 4.0, the character building from parents, educational institutions and government are needed.

This study aims to analyze and examine the main issues in any news on the internet related to the challenges of Islamic Religious Higher Education. Online News is obtained using the Google Indonesia search engine using the keyword "PTKI Challenge". In this study, 22 most popular news items were analyzed related to these keywords. All the news is then coded to find the main topic contained in the news using NVivo version 12 software. The results of the main topic analysis show that the PTKI Challenge according to various news quotes has revealed many things with 58 references obtained by researchers from 22 online news. The 58 references are divided into twenty main topics. Of the 20 main topics mentioned above, the most highlighted challenge was "the curriculum does not fit the needs" which were quoted from 8 references. Next, the most cited challenge for PTKI is the “Pandemic” which throughout 2020 is currently hitting Indonesia with 6 references. Furthermore, the challenge for PTKI that was highlighted the most was Institutional Strengthening, totaling 6 citations. And also widely quoted is the acquisition of skills and knowledge in PTKI which is a challenge with as many as 6 references.

<p>In the age of digital era where the Internet is playing an important and dominant role, the concern of the higher education to ensure that the Internet within the reach of the students is very important. However, little research has been reported to indicate the success of the concern in Indonesia. Therefore, This study was conducted to assess factors influencing Indonesian PSTs’ satisfaction (ST) and intention to use (IU) the Internet for learning through technology acceptance model (TAM). Data was gathered from a total of 596 pre-service teachers (PSTs) from five universities in Indonesia. The measurement and assessment of the model were developed through a partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The results informed that Indonesian PSTs’ ST was strongly influenced by perceived ease of use (PEU) and IU. Besides, PSTs’ IU was predicted by Attitude (AT), PU and PEU.<em> </em></p>

This research aims to identify and assess the project risks of online teaching in Indonesian higher education institutions during the COVID-19 crisis. Two analyses have been conducted using the project risk management approach. First, a triangulation analysis based on interviews with 35 online teaching stakeholders was implemented in order to construct a risk breakdown structure to identify major registered risks. Second, a risk assessment calculating the severity score of each registered risk was conducted using an online survey with 125 online teaching participants. The results of these analyses concluded that there were 11 registered risks, with the highest risk exposure in the technological area. In terms of risk criticality, inadequate Internet connection and an inconducive learning environment were selected as the most critical risks with the highest severity scores. These results imply the importance of focussing on the technological risk mitigation and strategy policies to prepare for future online learning projects after the COVID-19 crisis in Indonesia. In Higher Education, online learning becomes a crucial need to keep the teaching and learning going on. It has been a sudden shift for students of the English Education Study Program at Tidar University to have online teaching and learning throughout the whole semester. This study explores the students’ readiness for online learning and investigates the aspect that tangles their online learning. A total of 188 students, from first-year students to senior students, participated in this study. The Online Learning Readiness Scale (OLRS) and interview were used to appraise the students’ readiness for online learning. Internet self-efficacy, self-directed learning, learner control, motivation for learning, and online communication self-efficacy were assessed. The result of the scale revealed that the students were at a moderate level of online learning readiness. The highest contribution to their readiness was from their motivation for online learning. Moreover, surprisingly, the biggest challenge was the learner control. They were mainly distracted by other online activities during their online learning. Also, conducting online learning needs to involve various technologies and more structured activities to enhance their readiness.

The process of e-learning is the operations that involve humans, computers, the Internet, and instructional material and produce the outputs to learners and the organization. This research aimed to study students' readiness for e-learning of graduate students in IAIN Kendari, Indonesia. The research sample consisted of 168 graduate students who were selected purposively. The questionnaire was adapted from Watkins and interviewing 10% of the sample group was conducted to collect the data. The research findings showed that the students were ready for the e-learning, as shown by the overall mean score is 3.72, which is above Mo = 3.40. Due to the low means of statistical calculation, three important items need to be improved, such as Students' household distraction reduction, students' comfort to be involved in multiple online discussions, and students' ability to take notes during online discussions, should be considered. Based on the interview, some challenges met during online learning that reduced students' readiness were unstable internet connection, lecturer's presence on screen, inconducive learning environment, and inability to be a multitasker. Hence, it is recommended that the university and students discuss to improve students' readiness in motivation and technology access.

Internet has influences numerous aspects in our life, including our learning process. Interest in the internet as a media to enhance learning experience in education operations has increased over the last decade. The recent web era termed as web 2.0. In web 2.0 era, users have the convenience to design their own website without need of learning complicated programming language. Combination between offline and online learning is known as blended learning. Innovations related with blended learning are emerging. The purposes of this paper are to elaborate the features of Google Sites that are useful for blended learning and to share users experiences from utilize Google Sites as tools of blended learning program at Faculty of Economics and Business University of Padjadjaran (FEB Unpad), Bandung, Indonesia. Users are often inhibited in creating or maintaining a website because of the complexity challenge. Google Sites, known for its tag line“create, collect and controlâ€, offers ease of use in this regard. Faculty member and student can use this tool to interact. Users experience survey was conducted involving 84 users (78 students and 6 faculty members) to elaborate response of users, both faculty members and students. Results suggest that highest agreement rate was attained that Google site is helpful in share information. The lowest aggrement rate was found in “Google site useful for online discussionâ€.

The Covid-19 pandemic has made face-to-face learning unable to take place in class. Therefore, ICT from various platforms is the main choice that must be used, especially in Indonesian language learning for junior high schools. However, the efforts to improve the professionalism of Indonesian language teachers in utilizing ICT for online learning have not been carried out. This study aims to describe 1) the learning tools that utilize ICT, 2) the use of ICT in learning, and 3) the obstacles to the using of ICT in Indonesian language learning at the junior high school level in Buleleng Regency, Bali. This research method is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, interview, and documentation study techniques. The data were analyzed with the principle of TPACK used in learning. The results show that 1) learning tools that utilize ICT contain components that are integrated with internet technology, 2) ICT in Indonesian language learning at the junior high school level is used to deliver assignments, explain concepts, discuss, and evaluate learning, 3) the obstacles in utilizing ICT by Indonesian language teachers, among others, students lack enthusiasm for learning, poor internet network, and some students are not skilled yet in using applications/technology. Theoretically, this study has an implication to second language learning, especially on Indonesian language using TPACK principle, both in school and higher study level.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, almost all regions of Indonesia, including Sikka, East Nusa Tenggara, and Indonesia, have implemented e-learning. However, this method has not been conducted in all schools due to the problem of uneven Internet access. Disconnection from the Internet makes it difficult to conduct this process effectively even though students have smartphones. Furthermore, the expectation of education quality improvement in sciences also gets higher with the development of today’s world technology, and this cannot be avoided. Augmented reality (AR) gives a variety of opportunities to be utilized as science learning media embedded on smartphones even without an Internet connection. Therefore, this study aims at conducting an intervention towards the teachers through the training and workshops on the use of augmented reality for science learning on the topic of Global Warming. This research was an action research approach. While considering this problem, the intervention of teachers’ behavior and perception was conducted through training and workshops on the use of augmented reality for science learning using a one-shot case study research design. This program had four stages: need identification, strengthening the understanding of using AR, training and workshop implementation, and evaluation. The participants of this program were 24 science teachers from 10 schools at junior high schools in Sikka Regency, Indonesia (17 females, 7 males). The marker-based AR was developed based on learning media need assessment provided by teachers. Teacher optimism was measured using a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The program’s implementation led teachers to understand the use of AR in learning, significantly to develop HOTs (higher-order thinking skills) in science learning. After experiencing training and workshops, the teachers showed high optimism to use AR in science learning. The results of this study imply for the development of school policies to establish digital learning media used without the Internet on various learning issues in rural areas.

The Covid-19 pandemic almost stalled the face-to-face learning method in all institutions across the globe. Consequently, for learning to continue uninterrupted, there was a need to change teaching mode to online using social media and other platforms. This research aimed to examine the effectiveness of online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic and the challenges geography students faced in implementing this type of study. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach involving questionnaires designed to determine the implementation of online learning and the challenges encountered. The questions were structured through synthesizing various components of learning. Random selection was used to select 305 participants from various higher education institutions in the Aceh Region, Indonesia. The results indicated that online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic was effectively implemented. However, some challenges were encountered, including students who could not fully participate since they could not log in to the provided learning platforms. Furthermore, students from rural areas had poor internet connectivity besides the inability to buy internet quota. There were many instances of reported power supply failures, and this hindered online learning. Overall, learning geography during the pandemic was effective, though it had a fair share of challenges. The research also identified the need to develop an online learning model, teaching material, and multimedia in supporting geography-based online learning.

The employability of graduates is of global concern. This is one of the most important difficulties in ensuring a smooth transition of graduates from education to industry. Therefore, there are ongoing discussions in many countries about how to improve graduate employment. So the term "employability" was coined to characterize someone who is able to work. This study looks into differences in graduate employment perspectives. This paper uses a literature study method. Information in this study came from secondary sources. Information is collected from several published papers, internet sources, and newspapers. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the perspectives of the government, higher education institutions, industry, and graduates on the employability of graduates in Indonesia. It is hoped that this will help Indonesian graduates find work in the future. Therefore, the gap can be a useful solution for the future of graduate work in Indonesia.

While the COVID-19 crisis has sparked renewed interest in online learning research, there are only a few well-documented studies on students' perceptions of Internet access in online (remote) learning. As a result, we adopted a quantitative approach to investigate students' perceptions of Internet access for online (remote) learning in Indonesian higher education institutions during the COVID-19 pandemic. The data were analysed using descriptive statistics and content analysis. The findings indicate that students in Indonesian higher education institutions negatively perceive their experience with online (remote) learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. They are dissatisfied with the poor performance of the Internet as well as the high cost of Internet access. They also have concerns and impediments regarding online (remote) learning. Finally, the current study's implications are discussed, along with some recommendations for future research.

The need for the internet makes students use the internet in everyday life. Excessive use of the internet can lead to internet addiction. Self-control is considered to be one of the factors that influence internet addiction. This study aims to determine the effect of self-control on internet addiction in Final Semester Students of the Diploma in Technology Education Program at the Medical Laboratory, Sari Mutiara Indonesia University, Medan. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study were students with male and female categories with a total of 54 students. Data was collected through a measuring instrument in the form of a questionnaire compiled by researchers based on aspects of both self-control variables and internet addiction. The sampling technique in this study is by non-probability sampling. Non-probability sampling is a samplingtechnique that does not provide equal opportunities/opportunities for each element or member of the population to be selected as a sample. In this study, using purposive sampling, which is a technique to determine research samples with certain considerations aimed at making the data obtained later can be more accurate. representative. Based on the problems and theories that have been described above, it can be formulated that there is an influence of self-control on internet addiction in students in the final semester of the Diploma in Technology Education Program, Medical Laboratory, Faculty of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Sari Mutiara University, Indonesia. The prevalence and burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in Indonesia are increasing. One major risk factor for NCDs is smoking. Thus, this study assessed sociodemographic predictors of smoking persistence among young males in Indonesia, who are at high risk for smoking and NCDs. We analysed the Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) conducted in 2017, a nationally representative survey in 34 provinces of Indonesia. We included data from 9957 young males aged 15-24 who had tried smoking and were interviewed by the IDHS enumerators for their smoking patterns and sociodemographic characteristics. Logistic regression analyses were used to assess the predictors of smoking persistency. Our analyses uncovered that those who started smoking at high-school age, lived in rural areas, had an occupation, and had lower education levels, had higher odds of smoking persistence than other young males. The use of internet, also increased the odds of smoking persistence, while those reading newspapers had lower odds of smoking persistence. Regarding household characteristics, young males who came from poor households, whose household heads were smokers or not married, also had higher odds of smoking. In conclusion, this study also showed the significance of several individual variables and household sociodemographic factors related to smoking persistence. Based on our findings, we recommend the need for intervention that aims not only at large-scale policy to ban smoking and educational campaigns through the internet but also specific educational intervention targeting families, particularly poor families with active smokers. The educational campaign is also needed to target the younger population, who are at higher risk for smoking persistence if they start smoking earlier.

Students now use not only computers or laptops, but also small devices such as mobile phones. The students at higher education institutions spent a lot of time on the internet to find the course materials. Sometimes the teacher sends the materials, but the students who are willing to take a specific course of a semester cannot get a brief concept of the course on before starting the semester. There is now a lot of online education systems on the Internet, but few are a single page and responsive. The purpose of this research is to develop a single page, responsive and web-based e-learning system. The method used in this research is the Rapid Application Development approach which has six stages of the development process, namely Planning, Analysis, Design, Implementation, Testing, and Maintenance. This research was conducted in the Faculty of Technology and Vocational Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. The students and teachers from the Department of Mechanical Engineering Education participated in this research. The results of this research indicate that with fully functional live chat, the OpenCourseWare system has a high usability test score, highly responsive and awesome features. The OpenCourseWare system is responsive and ajax-based mobile-friendly system that can be used by higher education institutions as an e-learning system based on the results obtained.

Background:
The occurrence of the Covid-19 pandemic forced educational institutions to change learning methods and techniques, especially at Islamic universities in Indonesia. Learning loss is a separate obstacle that must be faced after the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to describe lecturers' factors, strategies, and roles in dealing with learning loss in learning English at Islamic universities in Indonesia.
Methodology:
This study examines or interprets written materials based on the context of published records, textbooks, newspapers, periodicals, and articles. This paper's method guided the writing of research-based conclusions. These conclusions defined "learning loss" and examined the English learning problems at Islamic universities in Indonesia following the pandemic. Descriptive-qualitative methods get facts and interpretations. This method studies deductive and inductive reasoning up to the level of description.
Findings:
This study finds some factors of learning loss in English learning at Islamic universities, such as internet access, the quality of their distance education program, families, and engagement.
Conclusion:
This research concludes that in overcoming learning loss after the COVID-19 pandemic, learning recovery is carried out by all parties, including the university, lecturers, the entire campus academic community, and local and central governments, by designing the Independent Learning Curriculum.
Originality:
This research demonstrates that the COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacts English learning. In addition, this study identifies the causes of student learning loss at Islamic universities.

Therefore, the purpose of this research is to monitor and evaluate the implementation of online learning at Universitas PGRI Semarang through the mechanism of online learning guidelines by the Quality Assurance Institute. This research uses a mixed method or often referred to as a mixed method. Data collection for the online lecture process was captured by using an online lecture implementation questionnaire filled out by students and lectures via googleform. The second data is student learning outcomes/achievements downloaded from the Universitas PGRI Semarang Lecture Information System (SIP). The results of the implementation of online lectures at Universitas PGRI Semarang are still not in line with expectations. Because students who carry out online lectures are not necessarily in a place with stable internet access, even though on the other hand online lectures require good internet access not only from the lecturer side but also from the student side. The limitations experienced by these students can cause the understanding of the material that has been delivered by the lecturer can not be maximized. The conclusion of the implementation of lectures are still not maximized so that it needs to be addressed immediately by increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of learning, one way is by providing education quota assistance or carrying out blended learning by taking into account the principles of the Covid-19 prevention protocol.

The development of information technology and globalization has impacted the learning process of higher education in Indonesia. This study aims to describe the level of technological literacy of students at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang in supporting the Independent Learning Campus (MBKM) policy of universities in Indonesia. This article uses a survey approach through a google form distributed purposively to students using a quantitative method. The survey uses a Likert scale adopted by the PISA standard, UNESCO. The results of this study indicate that the level of technological literacy for students who have participated in the Merdeka Learn Campus Merdeka (MBKM) is high. Furthermore, the survey shows that information literacy and digital literacy have good scores from the four elements of technological literacy: information literacy, digital literacy, and internet literacy. Two faculties have high technological literacy, namely the Faculty of Health Sciences and Teacher Training and Education. This study aims to analyze students' digital literacy in the context of learning biology material on the digestive system and identify students' digital literacy in terms of interest in digital technology, internet costs, gender, and learning outcomes. The research was conducted at one private high school in Medan, Indonesia. The instrument used is a questionnaire and a list of student grades from the teacher. The results showed that students interested in digital technology had a significantly higher digital literacy score than students who had less interest in digital technology. There was no significant difference in digital literacy between groups of students with internet fees < US$ 14 per month and students with internet fees of US$ 14 per month, and between groups of male and female students. The result of the analysis also found a positive correlation between learning outcomes and digital literacy.

The current COVID-19 pandemic forces the educational field to adapt to e-learning to continue teaching and learning. This study aimed to analyze the use of e-learning platforms during the COVID-19 crisis, especially in the biology education program. This study used a quantitative survey design. Through purposive sampling, 100 lecturers from 43 universities in Indonesia participated in this study. Data collection was carried out by using an online questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and thematic content analysis. The findings showed that WhatsApp, Google Classroom, and Zoom remain the most used e-learning platforms in Indonesian universities due to their accessibility and affordability. Participants’ obstacles during online learning centered on the limited network and quota as well as controlling aspects. Suggestions for further online learning are providing internet quota assistance, infrastructure, and network refinement and planning a comprehensive and careful learning design. The findings of this study can be a reference for biology education lecturers as well as universities officials in determining and using e-learning platforms during COVID-19 to improve online learning in Indonesian higher education during the pandemic.

The development of digital technology has disrupted a variety of human activities, not only as a driving force for the economy but also in the fields of science and technology and higher education. The industrial revolution 4.0 era has influenced higher education policy, teaching, and development of management science in universities. This article focuses to discuss the role of higher education policy and the development of management science in the era of industrial revolution 4.0. Based on theoretical studies and relevant literature reviews, the author argued that the challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0 must be responded quickly and appropriately by all stakeholders to be able to anticipate changes in the world and increase the competitiveness of the Indonesian college student in the midst of global competition. The management science curriculum development must emphasize the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Management science should refer to learning based on information and communication technology, the internet of things, big data, and computerization. Furthermore, management science is expected to create higher thinking order skills (HOTS) for higher education students. Finally, management science is also expected to provide teaching and have noble values, spiritual values, wisdom, and the element of human touch.

Scoring technique used in this research is with a maximum score of 5 and a minimum of 1. Promotional strategies undertaken by the KPT is highly internet marketing based. Internet serve as the main promotional media in addition to other supporting media. Even the use of the internet served as a medium to bring in and also receive the arrival of prospective students.

The usage of internet in higher education is increasing. This system is beingimplemented for efficiency and effectivity of communication and activity monitoring among the academicians. On the other hand, not all academicians have the exact same technology literacy. Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta is one of top university in Indonesia that already use many internet based programmes in their academic and administration activities. The purpose of this research see how the role of gender and generation affect the internet usage of academicians in UMS. Internet usage pattern covers items such as knowledge and experience on the internet, purpose of using internet, and frequency of using e-mail. The result shows that generation become the main factor that influence the pattern and optimalization usage of the internet than the gender one. Academicians that belong to Generation Y or milineal is the generation that has the highest potential of maximalize the internet technology, especially for academic activity.

The present paper, therefore, aims to develop deeper students’ understanding and perception regarding the use of mobile assisted language learning in the learning process. All schools and universities should eliminate offline learning and switch to online education. When this is enforced, not a few students find it difficult to access online learning. Some students may have privileges in the form of computers and internet access. This one can easily follow the learning delivered through online media used by the school/Learning management system.This study adopted qualitative research design where case study is used. In this study, the research participants are five students taken from university students who are currently taking English education. To hinder the ethical issues during the data collection and also the research process, the anonymity of the participants is implemented. The research participants also filled out the informed research consent form in order to share the agreement to be part of this study. There are some benefits gaining from implementing MALL such as learning flexibility and easiness. Students are not limited by the place and time to start studying and access some English sources. However, the comprehension supports for students from surrounding in mastering the technology use will enhance the learning process.

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi problematika, mengkaji efektivitas, dan peluang pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring pada masa pasca pandemi mendatang di Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia FKIP Universitas Bengkulu. Desain penelitian yang diterapkan deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia FKIP Universitas Bengkulu berjumlah 348 orang. Sampel total sampling, namun yang memberikan respon hanya 289 mahasiswa (response rate= 83%). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan kuesioner dan teknik pengumpulan data yang diterapkan adalah Google Formulir. Hasil penelitian: 1) Problematika pembelajaran daring yang berasal dari luar mahasiswa (eksternal): kelayakan tempat belajar, kualitas jaringan internet, kualitas catu daya listrik, biaya kuota data, dan kapabilitas gawai yang dimiliki mahasiswa. Sedangkan problem dari internal meliputi: penguasaan teknologi rapat daring, daya juang (ketahanan fisik dan mental) mahasiswa, minat dan motivasi belajar yang cenderung menurun. 2) Secara umum pembelajaran daring tidak efektif baik dilihat dari proses maupun hasil belajar. Research design is descriptive quantitatively. The research population is Indonesian Language Education Program student FKIP University of Bengkulu University= 348 people. Sampling technics is total sampling, but which responded, was 187 students (response rate = 51. 3%). The research instrument is a questionnaire, and the data collection techniques applied google Forms. Research results: 1) Online learning problems that come from outside the student (external): the feasibility of the place of study, the quality of the internet network, the quality of the electricity supply, the cost of data quotas, and the capabilities of the device owned by students. While internal problems include: mastery of online meeting technology, fighting power (physical and mental resilience) of students, interest, and motivation of learning that tends to decrease. 2) In general, online learning is ineffective in both in-process and learning outcomes. The spread of COVID 19 throughout the world, especially in Indonesia has changed the way how people live. Some significant changes including medical, education, economy, and social relations. The use of technology and the internet are necessity for people in adapting to the corona viruses’ impact. Indonesia’s government has issued policy to learn from home, so that the face of education in this country has changed significantly. Learning is no longer done in schools building because learning can be done anywhere, anytime, with unlimited learning resources in internet. However, this flexibility in learning has not been supported by the learner readiness in many level of education, including in higher education. There are complaints from student related to the distance learning system. Psychology programs are needed in order to improve students' soft skills in managing their learning to be a self-regulated learner, so that they can manage the obstacles they face, and be happy in undergoing the distance learning process.

This article aims to describe the impact of government policies on learning from home and the effects on student perspectives on learning Online learning. The method used is descriptive qualitative with observation instruments, online surveys, discussion group forums with the research subjects of students majoring in Arabic language education graduates of Islamic boarding schools in 2019 at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Indonesia. Research results are utilized on campus e-learning, which is integrated with SIAKAD and other applications such as WhatsApp and Zoom as well as Google Meet for teleconference facilities during student presentations and discussions. Islamic boarding school graduate students can take online lectures well. The student's perspective on online lectures after the learning from home policy is not suitable due to internet connection constraints and lectures using the assignment method only.

Abstrak
Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dampak kebijakan pemerintah pada pembelajaran dari rumah dan pengaruhnya terhadap perspektif mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran Online. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan instrumen observasi, survei online, forum diskusi kelompok dengan subjek penelitian mahasiswa jurusan bahasa Arab lulusan pesantren tahun 2019 di UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kampus memanfaatkan e-learning kampus yang terintegrasi dengan SIAKAD dan aplikasi lain seperti WhatsApp dan Zoom serta fasilitas Google Meet untuk telekonferensi untuk presentasi dan diskusi. Mahasiswa alumni pondok pesantren bisa mengikuti perkuliahan online dengan baik. Perspektif mahasiswa terhadap perkuliahan online setelah kebijakan belajar dari rumah kurang baik. Hal ini karena kendala koneksi internet dan perkuliahan hanya menggunakan metode tugas.

COVID-19 pandemic forces the change of education system in Indonesia from conventional to online because of the face-to-face learning prohibition from the Indonesian government. In such situation, Mobile Assisted Language Learning (MALL) is needed, and some online learning platforms are provided by higher education institutions, one of which is MyBest. This research aimed to determine students’ perception towards MyBest as online learning platform. Mixed Method using quantitative and qualitative data was applied in this research. Data were collected by giving questionnaire and doing interview with the students of Bina Sarana Informatika University as respondents. The research results showed that most of the students gave positive opinion about this platform because it could help them learn the lesson better. Yet, they also faced some problems in using it such as low internet connection and uncomfortable eyes when reading a long text on screen.

Plagiarism is no longer a mere issue, but it is a global fact that this disease has attacked higher education, and regarding ethics, immoral and irresponsible academics has shaken the world of education. Plagiarism has become a systematic virus that must be tackled from the root of the problem. Plagiarism is the responsibility of higher education with the government in which the Indonesian government of higher education has already established its legislation on plagiarism and colleges elaborate on it in their respective academic rules. The prevention of plagiarism begins with building a winning, honest, anti-plagiarism, and responsible mentality. It also provides a plagiarism prevention system manual (manual regulation and regulation through editorial team, plagiarism law socialization, honest and responsible culture building), as well as the use of anti-plagiarism software in college and internet and mobile browsing. Plagiarism at a high altitude can kill the creativity and wealth of thinking of pouring new ideas into work. Students who do plagiarism means to have shut down their intellectual honesty in their work. While systems that allow plagiarism to occur that they have shut down the integrity of students in work and destroy the creativity of other students in college who uphold honesty in the work.

This study aimed to investigate the lecturer' perspectives during COVID-19 pandemic in higher education. The participants have consisted of 8 from various universities in Indonesia. In this study, researchers chose narrative analysis as a research approach. A narrative analysis was used to explore lecturer perspectives or views on e-learning based on the practices, challenges, and prospects during COVID-19 pandemic. Based on the lecturers' perspective, the researchers concluded that online learning applications are beneficial for some lecturers to deliver lecture material without face to face, although there are some obstacles such as inadequate internet access. Some campuses provide self-developed applications to facilitate teaching lecturers and provide access to students to study lecture material. Some teachers also used online learning service provider applications or third parties such as Youtube, Zoom, Google Meet, Google Classroom and other online applications. Overall lecturers in universities can use existing learning applications. Efforts are needed to develop further, train, and improve infrastructure facilities to support online learning in the future. Online learning has high prospects and potential to be applied due to its extremely related to technological developments and ever-changing times wherever everything is quick and economical.

The aims to determine steps to increase the labor force absorption of the Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) sector. This research using the structural equation model partial least square (SEM-PLS) method with cross-section secondary data within provinces (34 provinces) from the 2016 Economic Census (2017 census). The analysis results showed that the labor force absorption of MSEs in Indonesia was directly and positively affected by the number of MSEs and the income of MSEs. The number of MSEs in Indonesia was positively affected by the education level of MSEs owners. Meanwhile, the income of MSEs was positively affected by the use of the internet (digital technology) of MSEs. The education level of MSE owners was the only factor that had an indirect positive effect on the labor force absorption of MSEs. Increasing the labor force absorption of MSEs in Indonesia can be promoted by strengthening the entrepreneurship curriculum to foster an entrepreneurial spirit in students, especially at the higher education level, to grow the startup businesses. In addition, digital marketing partnerships with various e-commerce platforms providing marketplaces and online courier service platforms to increase MSEs income are encouraged. Online learning conducted in some university  as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic can be said to be a fairly new learning model. It is necessary to know the students’ perception toward the online learning. Therefore, this quantitative and qualitative descriptive study aimed at describing students’ perceptions of online learning based on their experiences in participating in the online model learning and how the online learning meet their learning needs and expectations. Questionnaires given to 142 students at the Faculty of Information Technology in a private university in Central Java were used to collect data, besides interviews and focus group discussion also employed for deeper understanding of student experiences in online learning. The results showed that there was a positive response from students towards online learning. The online learning that had been implemented could accommodate most of students’ learning needs and expectations. However, this was strongly influenced by the role of the lecturer in organizing and packaging the online learning. In addition, it required habituation and the ability of students to study independently. The existence of a learning community in online learning was also a factor that can support students’ success in participating at the online learning. Technical problems in form of equipment availability and inadequate internet access were the main obstacles in the implementation of online learning. Hopefully, the research results can be used to improve and develop an effective online learning in higher education in the future.

Online learning is defined as learning that takes place partially or entirely over the Internet which excludes purely print-based correspondence education, broadcast television or radio, videoconferencing, videocassettes, and stand-alone educational software programs that do not have a significant internet-based instructional component (Means et al., 2009). It is a crosssectional, observational study. The objective of the present study was to investigate the level of anxiety in online learning in Covid-19 pandemic among the English students from different study programs at the Faculty of Languages and Literature, State University of Makassar in 2020/2021 academic year. There were 71 respondents in this study, 64 or 79% female and 17 or 21% male with a mean age of 21.5 (SD= 2.44949). They are undergraduate students and graduate students of State University of Makassar, Indonesia. Anxiety scale 18 questionnaires adapted from MacIntyre & Gardner (1994) were given for assessment of anxiety. The study concludes that: 1) the students feel anxious during English tests online when they have not prepared their time well before the test, 2) they feel anxious if English online class is not well organized, 3) they may know the proper English expression but when they are nervous it just won't come out, and 4) they get upset when they know how to communicate something in English in online class but they just cannot verbalize what they mean. The associated factors with the online learning as other evidences of this study are: 1) immature preparations, 2) unorganized class, 3) nervous, 4) get upset.
