Data analysis was done using descriptive statistics and linear regression done to assess the relationship between insurance awareness and uptake of insurance products. Hypothesis testing was done. The tests were done at a significance level of P= 0.05. The study found out that the level of awareness on insurance significantly influenced its uptake therefore wrong information translated to low insurance uptake. The insurance regulatory authority together with other players in the insurance industry should come up with more robust and reliable mechanisms for disseminating correct insurance information to the public. This would ensure that people make the right choices on insurance, thus enhance insurance uptake

Over 1.3 billion people in the world are challenged to access good and cheap healthcare when become ill. Health insurance policies are a fantastic strategy to assist people who can't afford medical care. For middle- and low-income nations, there hasn't been much research on the ability to pay for health insurance for public employees like school teachers. Therefore, this cross-sectional questionnaire based research has been undertaken to explore the reflection of health insurance among 383 Bangladeshi school teachers of 5 divisional city center primary school and were being surveyed online between 1st August to 30th August 2022. According to survey, monthly average (mean) health expenditure of respondents were 7668.93 BDT (Bangladeshi Taka equivalent to $80.72) with 95% confidence interval. Of 35% responders suffered from high blood pressure, approximately 8% people were suffering from arthritis and asthma, 7.8% people have heart disease and 8.1 % people suffer from cholesterol problem. Maximum respondents (80%) agreed that health insurance is burden for them. About 51% teachers had no idea about health insurance. However, there was no significant relation in between educational status and health insurance perception for male and female teacher respondents. Moreover, the comparative data highlighted that more awareness and more exploration might be needed in health insurance perception for primary school teachers. This result can contribute to form people’s choice-oriented health insurance policy.

Low academic performance in science subjects has continued to characterise primary education in sub–Saharan Africa, despite several interventions by stakeholders. This study investigated the influence of teachers’ preparation for teaching and learning on pupils’ academic performance in mathematics and integrated science in Kigumba town council in Uganda. It used a cross-sectional survey design with a sample size of 180 teachers and pupils from both government-aided and privately funded schools. Interviews were used to collect data. Descriptive statistics was used to determine teachers’ level of preparation for teaching and learners’ level of academic performance, while a regression model was used to establish the influence of teacher’s preparation on pupils’ academic performance. Findings indicate that teachers’ level of preparation was generally good and significantly (P<0.05) influenced by their teaching experience and access to insurance. Furthermore, academic performance in mathematics and integrated science was significantly influenced by teacher preparation (P<0.05) arising from lesson planning, updating learners’ discipline records, and creativity. In conclusion, teachers need to continue being creative, planning lessons on a daily basis, and updating learners’ discipline records in order to improve pupil performance. In turn, the government needs to provide teachers with insurance coverage, e.g., health insurance, in order to free more of their time for lesson preparation. The study informs education and economic planning policies

Background: Teachers are more likely to use a loud voice at work than the general working population, but few longitudinal studies have been conducted on their risk of voice disorders. The occurrence of voice disorders in private school teachers was assessed by using the Longitudinal Health Insurance Database 2000 of Taiwan, which contains information on a random sample of 1 million beneficiaries of National Health Insurance. Methods: This study included private school teachers who were under 35 years old and newly employed between 2000 and 2010, and used workers with other occupations as the comparison cohort. Patients with voice disorders were identified using diagnostic codes on insurance claims. Cox proportional hazards regressions were applied to obtain relative risk estimates. Results: After adjusting for age, sex, income, and comorbidities of sinusitis and laryngitis, private school teachers had a higher risk of developing voice disorders (hazard ratio [HR] = 1.58; 95% confidence intervals: 1.43–1.75). In addition, the finding that elementary and high-school teachers had a higher risk than college teachers (HR: 2.56 vs. 1.44) and the pattern of increases in cumulative incidence over time supported a dose–response relationship between teaching and voice disorders. Conclusions: Private school teachers had higher risks of voice disorders. The results support the causality between occupation and voice disorders in teachers.

Low income earning workers such as the teachers in the public secondary schools, are faced with varying categories of financial risk which cannot e alleviated without the help of some other social arrangement such as micro-insurance schemes. However, these scheme has not been well accepted among the teachers. The study however, looked at the reasons for the low acceptability. A stratified simple random sampling technique was used to collect data from a sample of 384 secondary school teachers in Lagos state, using regression analysis techniques. Adequate knowledge and well structured products designs of the micro-insurance products does not influence the acceptability of the products among the teachers. The study result however, shows that not making the products compulsory is the major factor that influence the acceptability among the teachers.

With the high-quality transformation and development of the insurance industry and the continuous promotion of regulatory reform in the insurance industry, as the core force for the development of the insurance industry, the quality of training for insurance master's degree talents is directly related to the sustainable development of the industry. The integration of industry and education, as a new type of education model, aims to promote the deep integration of education and industry, and provide strong support for the cultivation of insurance professionals. However, currently in the process of cultivating insurance professional master's talents, there are problems such as unclear training objectives, single curriculum design, lack of substantive practical aspects, and weak teaching staff, this article is based on the perspective of integration of industry and education, and explores in depth the ways to enhance the training of insurance professional and master's talents. It is suggested that measures such as clarifying the training objectives of professional master's degree, improving the quality of teachers, focusing on curriculum design, and meeting the needs of enterprises should be taken, which provide useful reference for the innovation and development of insurance professional master's degree talent training and promote the sustainable and healthy development of the insurance industry.

The United Arab Emirates hires many teachers from abroad to work in both the private and public school systems. Recruiting foreign teachers can be exceedingly costly, especially when one considers the financial investment associate with air fare, health insurance, housing, transportation, and a competitive salary, along with the substantial processing time involved in issuing work visas, professional and intercultural training. One way organizations may be able to save on additional expenditures is to retain the teachers who have been hired and are already settled in the country. Naturally, a substantial part of the decision for the teacher to remain working and living in the UAE lies with the expatriate teacher. This exploratory, case study employed a qualitative approach in which descriptive data was collected from six in-depth, semi-structured interviews exploring job satisfaction as one, of what may be other, indicators associated with of length-of-stay among expatriate teachers in the UAE. These descriptive data were analyzed using an interpretive analysis, which culminated with three selective codes: (1) Leadership and community are key to expatriate teacher’s job satisfaction; (2) School leaders’ engagement in improving behavior management would improve satisfaction; and (3) Positive work-life balance may influence expatriate teachers’ length of stay in the UAE. Taken collectively, this data may assist decision-makers, school leaders, and policy-makers on how to foster environments that promote retention among expatriate teachers in the UAE. ABSTRACTObjectiveWe aimed to identify the differences in personal disaster preparedness and disaster risk perception among child care and preschool teachers in South Korea by using demographic characteristics and disaster-related questions.MethodsA cross-sectional self-reporting questionnaire was administered from February to October 2014.ResultsOf all the participants, 68.1% had received disaster preparedness education and training on 2 or more occasions per year; 13.2% had received no education or training. Personal disaster preparedness differed significantly by marital status (P<0.05), the number of disaster education and training sessions attended (P<0.05), and having purchased home insurance (P<0.001). Disaster risk perception differed significantly by children’s age group under a teacher’s care (P<0.05). The topic on which child care teachers wanted more training was “fractures and bleeding emergency care” (53.9%). The most probable disaster was considered to be a typhoon (66.0%).ConclusionsDisaster preparedness is important for both young children and their teachers. Field-based teacher disaster preparedness education and training should be provided so that they can respond effectively to disaster occurrence regardless of type, time, or location. Purpose: The article analyzes the state of domestic insurance in agricultural enterprises, which is a complex type of property insurance, subspecies of which are insurance of crops, animals, commodity aquaculture, real estate and income of agricultural producers. Methodology: Generally accepted methods and techniques of economic research were used in the study process: monographic (in the process of studying risk management theoretical foundations), statistical and economic (when studying trends of AIC enterprise development and functioning), design-constructive (when justifying and calculating indicators of enterprise functioning), abstract and logical (when generalizing conceptual and methodological approaches in identifying, analyzing and assessing risks), comparative analysis (synthesis of native and foreign risk management experience), various risk assessment methodologies. Result: The economic risk passport is understood as a set of information about the risk area, risk criteria, as well as for instructions on the application of the necessary methods to manage or minimize the risk. The article presented a liquidity loss risk passport with one of the measures to minimize it - self-insurance. Applications: This research can be used for universities, teachers, and students. Novelty/Originality: In this research, the model of Insurance as an Effective Mechanism to Minimize Risks at the Enterprise is presented in a comprehensive and complete manner.

This paper uses the results of a unique survey of child care centers in 1989 to examine the effect of fringe benefits on the demand for part-time teachers and teacher aides. An analysis that controls for wages and other establishment characteristics shows that as the level of fringe benefit payments at the establishment rises, hours of work by part-time workers fall significantly relative to the hours worked by full-time teachers and teacher aides. Particularly influential are insurance payments (such as health and dental), which have an effect more than twice that of fringe benefits in general.

U.S. Federal and state education policies place considerable emphasis on assessing the effects that schools and teachers have on student test score performance. It is important for education policy makers to also consider other factors that can affect student achievement. This study finds that an exogenous school factor, discontinuous health insurance coverage, leads to a deficit in math achievement over time. A sample of Yuma County, Arizona public school students who experienced an illness or injury and whose health insurance coverage status was known were selected for inclusion into the study over five consecutive school years (1999 – 2003). The longitudinal math achievement trajectory of students who had private health insurance coverage was compared to students who had discontinuous coverage. Net of a student’s poverty status and other background characteristics the findings suggest that students who experienced a health event when they had no healthcare insurance had the same growth rate but lower overall math achievement. The average achievement gap was a constant -8.84 scale score points. However, separate analyses for specific types of illness/injury suggest the achievement deficit varied considerably and is typically larger.Other important findings from the study suggest that students who maintained continuous health insurance coverage through the SCHIP/Medicaid program had steeper, positive achievement gains than either those with private coverage or those who experience coverage gaps.

Most public elementary and high school teachers are covered by health insurance provided by their employer while they are employed. In most cases, these health plans are managed at the state level. At retirement, teachers with sufficient years of service are allowed to remain in the health plan. Retiree health plans for teachers vary widely across the country, with some states paying the full premium for the retired teacher while other states require that the retiree pay 100 percent of the premium. Recent changes in the accounting rules now mandate that public sector employers report the accrued liabilities associated with these plans. This article documents the unfunded liabilities of teacher retiree health plans in the various states, examines the reasons for differences in these liabilities, and considers how these plans might evolve in the future.

Since the implementation of regulations on personnel management in public institutions on July 2014, the decision on the reform of endowment insurance system for staff in organ and institution was released by the State Council on Jan 2015, the reform in organ and institution developed rapidly. As an important member of public institutions, university is the first to be included in reform. Although one of the core essence of the new deal is to break the institutional barriers, promote the rational flow and effective allocation of talents, it also brings new challenges to management of university teachers. Under the new situation, in order to adapt to the new deal and stable teachers work, the author will explore the concept of teacher management in university from the perspective of justice and equality, people oriented and rule by law.

Traumatism of schoolchildren in physical education and sports, according to questioned teachers, has assorted reasons. The main ones are: violation of discipline by students, failure to observe safety rules, inept insurance and selfinsurance, unsatisfactory technical condition of sports equipment and places for physical culture and sports. The most traumatic means of physical education teachers consider team sports games (soccer, handball, basketball), during which it is possible to injure hands and feet with hard drops on the ground or collisions with rivals, blowing the ball into the face or body. Long-term pedagogical experience in school and analysis of publications of specialists studying the problems of injuries in children and young people make it possible to assert that in connection with a significant number of injuries in schools in different countries, it is necessary to improve its prevention and improve the safety of students' life and health in teaching and educational The process, in particular, in physical education classes and sports sections of schools. It is necessary to improve the effectiveness of training future physical education teachers in higher education institutions on the prevention of injuries in classes and sports sections, where various means of physical training and sports are used, to be able to monitor the technical condition of physical culture equipment and equipment, sports objects for physical education and sports, to teach students The methods of insurance of children and youth in classes and non–class sports.

TEXAR Federal Credit Union (formerly Bowie County Teachers Credit Union, Bowie-Cass Teachers Credit Union, and the Teachers Federal Credit Union) has been, from inception in 1951, a provider of a broad range of financial services to its members, primarily in Texarkana, Texas, and Arkansas and the surrounding areas. The credit union experienced normal growth over the years as it progressed through major name changes, especially to TEXAR in 2001. Another significant milestone was the decision to launch a major building program that concluded with moving into a new, large, and modern building in 2003. As the national economy went into a recession in 2008, the states of Texas and Arkansas experienced economic slowdowns that were not as significant as the changes that were reflected in the economic indicators at the national level or those experienced by other states that were much more severely affected. The Texarkana area economy was moderately affected by slowdowns in lending, especially for housing, automobiles, and other durable products. There was additional impact by an elevation in member loan defaults. Another significant occurrence, not related to the local economy, was the failure of U.S. Central Federal Credit Union and Western Corporate (WesCorp) Federal Credit Union and the financial losses of Southwest Corporate Federal Credit Union.Similar to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation that insures losses in the banking industry, the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF) insures losses among credit unions. To help cover the losses of U.S. Central and WesCorp, TEXAR was assessed approximately $750,000 and because of the losses at Southwest Corporate, it was assessed approximately $700,000.That is the essence of this case.

Abstract During the times of the Second Polish Republic the civil servants, teachers, the military, postal and railway workers were not covered by the universal social insurance, because before the social insurance act came into force, they were covered by pension systems guaranteeing more advantageous benefits. Persons working in state administration had a privileged position compared to the employees in general, both in terms of the scope and level of the benefits and their entire coverage by the State. The level of the pensions depended on the years of service and after 10 years of service amounted to 40% and was increasing every year by 2.4% or 3% up to 100%. The civil servants acquired the right to the pension already after 10 years and as of 1934 after 15 years of civil or military service. In special cases they were entitled to pension after 5 years already.

In Australia, the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) was rolled out in pilot sites in 2013. This article reports a formative study conducted with qualified preschool teachers in one site in a context of change. The NDIS has been hailed in the media as a bold move to deliver more choice of services to people with disabilities and incorporates the delivery of early intervention (EI) services into its portfolio. As established EI agencies became providers for the scheme, local referral networks changed substantially. Children needed to establish eligibility for the scheme prior to families’ entry. Fourteen preschool teachers responded to an online survey, and four opted in for this study, which used positioning theory and a constructivist approach. Online surveys and interviews were conducted in 2 months at the end of the 3-year pilot phase. Findings suggest that teachers detecting developmental delays (DDs) in 4-year-old children needed to reposition themselves away from the rights and duties of the developmental expert to develop timely collaborative relationships with parents if the dominant storylines of early detection, medical confirmation, and the benefits of EI for families were to remain in the foreground.

The system of early retirement pensions was inherited from the USSR and every third Russian pensioner receives a preferential pension. It is assigned to metallurgists, oil workers, coal miners, ballerinas, trolleybus drivers, teachers - the lists of early retired pensioners are huge. The conduction of pension reform involved seeking resources within the system itself. To solve the problem of financing preferential pensions, a system of early non-state pension provision was created, implemented through non-state pension funds. However, the existing legislative regulation does not stimulate employers of hazardous and dangerous industries to create corporate pension programs due to the fact that they will not exempt employers from paying additional insurance premiums in favor of employees on preferential lists. As a result, there are no employers in the country who will not only pay wages on time, transfer insurance premiums in a timely manner, but for this category in an increased amount, but will also form additional contributions for the same employees under the early non-state pension system. The non-state pension paid in the frame of this system does not replace the early insurance old-age pension, that is, it does not entail a decrease in federal budget costs. The purpose of this study is to consider the main legal acts and the process of development of legislation on early non-state pension provision. The result of the study is practical proposals for improving the legal framework of the early retirement pension system.

The aim of this study was to examine the effects of fringe benefits on employee loyalty in the context of university teachers. The study sample consisted of 100 university teachers who were randomly selected from both private and public universities situated in Khulna city of Bangladesh. Data were collected through a self-administered questionnaire survey. To test the study hypotheses, data were analyzed employing correlation and multiple regression analysis tools. Results of correlation analysis reveal that fringe benefits (insurance & retirement benefits, payments for time not worked, education & development opportunities, flexible working hours, and employee welfare benefits) are positively related to employee loyalty. Regression statistics shows that 25.6% variance of employee loyalty can be explained by the fringe benefits. The study findings also indicate that flexible working hours (β = 0.296, Sig. = 0.001) has the most significant contribution in explaining employee loyalty among the university faculty members employed in Khulna city of Bangladesh.

This paper aims to examine the effect of government policy variables, continuance commitment, school image, and parents' aspirations on dormitory school performance. Data collection is done by distributing questionnaires to teacher respondents, interviews, and focus group discussions. The study found that government policies and continuance commitment had a positive influence on school performance, while the school image variables and the aspirations of parents did not have a positive influence. A more coordinated and synergic operational mechanism is needed between the government (central, provincial, district) and schools to improve dormitory school performance. The government needs to give priority to honorary teachers in recruiting workers with work agreements (PP No. 48/2018), by not implementing a system of employment agreements (contracts), but as non-ASN permanent teachers who get salary / wages in accordance with applicable regulations (recommended based on regional minimum wages), the right to take competency tests and get teacher professional allowances, family health insurance, leave rights, capacity building training, and others.

This article approaches, in the five regions of Brazil, the universalization of High School, initial training and work conditions of teachers. The discussion was carried out based on educational indicators available at the National Research of Household Sample and the School Census. The analysis makes explicit disparities among the regions regarding to the universalization of access, most claimed in North and Northwest regions. Appropriate training has more requirements in Northwest and Central West regions. Similarly, better work conditions are most required in Central west, North and South. At the same time, it points, in the five regions, a context far from of the National Education Plan (2014-2024). It suggests that social quality of High School only will be a reality with insurance of universalization to young people from 15 to 17 years old and with all the teachers socially valued. It also demonstrates dimensions silenced nowadays in the Law number 13.415/2017 and its bet on flexibility.

The quality education has been an issue in education sector over many years. However, today’s competition for global market requires quality education as a key (Suresh & Kumaravelu, 2017). A teacher is the key pillar to the education achievements in all spheres of the learning. Quality education cannot be achieved unless the teacher is really motivated (Jusuf, 2005). This study investigated the perception of teachers on extrinsic motivation to quality education and evaluated the ways of motivating teachers for quality education. The data collection methods used were questionnaires, and interviews. The sample size was 128 respondents composed of 88 teachers, 20 Deputy Head Teachers in Charge of Studies (DOS), and 20 Head teachers (HTs) from 20 schools in Nyamasheke District from different educational levels (nursery, primary, and secondary schools) of public schools. The sampling procedures was purposive, and stratified sampling. The sample of teachers was obtained using Yamane's (1967) formula. The research was guided by McClelland's Need for Achievement Theory. Data were presented through graphs, tables, and percentages and were analysed by using Microsoft Excel. This research has demonstrated that a teacher who is extrinsically motivated contributes a lot to quality education. This is due to the fact that a motivated teacher is punctual, well prepared and complete teaching documents, giving and marking assignments, participating in institutional and professional events and self-discipline. The study found that teachers wish to be motivated extrinsically in three main ways such as building a conducive working environment for them, salary and allowances, and appreciable students' outcomes. Finally, this research demonstrated that a conducive working environment takes a higher level in ways of motivating teachers with 56%. This includes owning houses, securing their children’s education and having strong health insurance. Salary and allowances takes 31% while appreciable students' outcomes takes 13%. The study recommend that government and education stakeholders should help teachers to own housing and secure their children education for quality education

The modern lifestyle is accompanied by a great amount of stress, and private school teachers are also not far from it. The workplace is also more stressful than it used to be. Stress among private school teachers is influenced by a multifaceted phenomenon. For the completion of this research, the predetermined objectives were set first. The objectives of this study were to analyze and address the factors contributing to stress among private school teachers in order to implement effective support mechanisms and promote overall well-being within the educational environment. Altogether, 19 respondents, among them 1 principal, 2 management committee members, and 16 teachers (8 from the basic level and 8 from the secondary level) of a private school in Solukhumbu, were selected purposefully. The data and responses were collected from management committee members, principal, and teachers through an open ended questionnaire, and the responses were interpreted and described qualitatively according to the defined objectives. Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory is interconnected in this study to understand stress among private school teachers and use appropriate remedies in a specific order, starting with basic physiological needs and progressing to higher-level needs. 16 respondents working as a school teacher in a private school were burdened with excessive tasks, responsibilities, and demands within their professional role. They were facing high teaching loads with numerous classes, subjects, and students to manage. They had very limited time for lesson preparation and other innovations. Strategies such as workload management, providing adequate resources, promoting work-life balance, and offering support for professional development can help alleviate the stress associated with work overload and enhance the quality of teaching and learning. Further, private school teachers in Solukhumbu were not getting the facilities of professional development opportunities like seminars, workshops, research, on-the-job training, and other soft skills workshops from the school administration. To address this issue, it would be essential for private school teachers, school administrators, and relevant stakeholders to collaborate and advocate for the importance of professional development. Additionally, government policies or initiatives that support and incentivize private schools to invest in teacher training and other professional development courses. The responses of all the respondents showed that job security and stability are big worries for them. The survey showed that private school teachers in Solukhumbu had a lot of uncertainty about job security and stability, which is creating stress for the teachers. The school management committee and school administrators should prioritize clear policies regarding employment terms, the school's future plans, bonuses, insurance, retirement plans, disability coverage, and other wellness programs. All 16 respondents from different backgrounds responded that teaching is stressful and sensitive enough to address cultural differences, language barriers, and varying learning styles, which requires extra effort from the teacher. The school management committee and administration should prioritize the pressure of the sociocultural sensitivity of diverse students to the teachers. Limited participation in decision-making can generate stress by undermining teachers' sense of professional value, autonomy, and job satisfaction. Addressing these stressors involves implementing effective feedback mechanisms by the concerned authorities that provide constructive insights, recognize achievements, and support teachers. Maslow's theory is a psychological theory that suggests teachers are motivated by a hierarchy of needs, starting with basic needs and progressing through safety, belongingness, esteem, and self-actualization. While Maslow's theory is primarily focused on motivation, it can be indirectly related to stress management. Implementing these recommendations requires the commitment of school administrators, policymakers, and educators to create a supportive and conducive environment for teaching and learning in private schools.
