Aim. The presented study aims to develop a methodology for assessing the innovative solvency of exports from Russian regions and to identify the leading exporting regions in the development of the country’s innovative exports. Tasks. The authors clarify the definition of ‘innovative solvency of regional exports’; develop a methodology for assessing the innovative component of regional exports; test methodological recommendations for assessing the innovative solvency of exports through the example of industrial regions. Methods. The approach to determining the innovative solvency of regional exports is based on a matrix measurement method using two-component evaluation tools. This method also makes it possible to compare the level of the region’s existing foreign economic relations with the level of the regional production system when considering the latter as a resource and a prerequisite for further increasing the level of innovation in exports; to assess the degree of regional potential realization through a separate comparison of the indicators of commodity production and exports of goods and indicators reflecting the level of production technologies and their exports. Results. A typology of exporting regions is proposed based on the synthesis of two criteria: the level of development of the innovative component in the exports of the region and the level of development of advanced innovative technologies in the region. The study confirms the hypothesis about the heterogeneity of Russian regions in terms of the innovative component of their exports, which has a direct impact on the development of the corresponding regional development strategies. Of the 34 exporting regions analyzed, only 16 regions can be identified as exporters of innovative goods. Conclusions. The methodology proposed by the authors makes it possible to qualitatively assess the innovative component of regional exports based on quantitative data, which reveals the potential of the regional production system for innovative production, and to compare it with the existing and projected levels of innovative exports. The practical significance of this study consists in the formation of a list of regions leading in innovative exports, which can be useful for public authorities when adjusting programs aimed at stimulating innovation activity and forming an export-oriented national economy.

The article deals with cultural and mental peculiarities of innovation processes’ development in Ukraine in the context of Industry 4.0. There has been presented a comparative rating of some world countries according to NRI, ICT, GOI, IDI, GII indices and the position of Ukraine over the past decade has been stated. The main results of innovation activity in Ukraine that lie in low innovative activity have been characterized. The factors that hinder innovation activity are insufficient level of educational training, low activity in offering innovative ideas, no incentive to create something new etc. In addition, a significant negative impact on innovation activity is exerted by cultural and mental factors of the population, a considerable part of which does not have entrepreneurial skills. There have been substantiated some socio-cultural and mental characteristics of Ukrainians that determine their innovative activity, namely reduce the competitiveness of the country's human capital both at the personal and national levels. The solution of the problem has been proposed which implies cooperation between three main components of the innovative economy – "science – education – production" as a common system.

Abstract The evolution of entrepreneurship in the cultural and creative sectors leads to social innovation by creating new jobs intended for the creative class and by building a long-run smart, sustainable and inclusive local development. Innovation and sustainability are concepts that can be applied to many industries, and they can involve numerous improvements related but not limited to processes, products, services, logistics. This paper supports the idea that the creative and cultural sectors can develop through innovative entrepreneurship, by introducing new methods of production, optimizing existing processes, improving the delivery methods or by developing new products or services, while also relying on the help of the government and smart organizations such as clusters. Since innovation involves improving the way of doing business, this paper will focus on identifying the available innovative methods that can be applied to the businesses activating in the cultural and creative sectors of the economy in Romania, together with the main challenges and opportunities that might arise by applying them. The perspectives of intellectual capital, creative economy and knowledge-based society in relation to the impact of innovation and entrepreneurship towards the development of the cultural and creative sectors in Romania will also be considered. The paper will also tackle a series of best practice examples of innovative businesses in the creative sectors, as well as a comparative analysis of the successfully implemented innovative ideas in this field of activity and their impact on the customer satisfaction and on the development of the local economy.

Abstract The first thing this article tries to do is discuss the Estonian audiovisual media and content production system in its entirety - i.e. to look at film, television and interactive audiovisual services as an increasingly integrated system. Secondly, it tries to understand the issues that this convergence process presents to these formerly distinct sub-fields of the audiovisual culture, as well as for the country’s cultural policy makers. Thirdly, it presents an alternative rationale for audiovisual policymaking - reconceptualising the policy in support of an ‘innovation system’. The aim of this policy would be to improve ‘innovation coordination’ - to make the system generate more innovative cultural forms and representations, which at the aggregate level would translate into increased cultural diversity. The article assesses the innovation coordination within the Estonian audiovisual media and content production system.

Relevance. In modern conditions, the innovative development of the region is largely determined by the environment that promotes the activation of innovative activities of regional stakeholders. The formation of an innovative environment becomes an important task due to the objective process of transition from an economy based on production factors to an economy based on knowledge. Moreover, socio-economic factors (the quality of the infrastructure environment, the state of the economy and the innovation system) affect innovative development to a greater extent than scientific and technological progress. The economic behavior of a society is formed on the basis of established behavioral attitudes and moral values as a socio-cultural vector of its development. In this regard, there is an objective need to study the formation of the innovative environment of the region from the standpoint of the socio-cultural approach. The purpose of the study is to provide a theoretical justification for the use of the socio-cultural approach in the study of the problem of the formation of the innovation environment in the region, as well as to analyze the socio-cultural factors in terms of their impact on the innovation activity of regional stakeholders. The objectives of the research are to study the theoretical foundations and methodological aspects that reveal the issues of the formation of the innovation environment of the region, as well as to justify the use of a socio-cultural approach to study the interaction of stakeholders of the innovation process and their attitude to innovation. Methodology. The methodological basis of the research consists of general scientific methods of cognition, statistical methods, as well as the principles and methods of the systematic approach. The information component of the study includes data from Russian state statistics, reference data from domestic and foreign scientific literature, materials of scientific and practical conferences, scientific journals and the Internet environment. Results. As a result of the study, it is established that the innovative development of the region involves the improvement of the system of social reproduction on the basis of the introduction of technological, institutional and social innovations. The modern paradigm of regional development is based on a set of approaches, among which, according to the authors, the socio-cultural approach is becoming relevant, involving the study and assessment of such factors as the socio-cultural profile of the region, the attitude of the population to new technologies and to technological entrepreneurship. In the course of the study, the main principles of the formation of the innovation environment of the region are formulated, taking into account the concept of «smart specialization» and the model of "four-link spiral of innovation". Conclusions. The innovation environment of the region is a source that creates "windows of opportunity" for stakeholders of the innovation process, and causes stagnation of regional innovation activity. The perception of innovations by all participants of the innovation process, determined by individual characteristics and group socio-economic characteristics, is a factor of openness to new technological achievements. This fact should be taken into account in the innovation policy of the region with an emphasis on the formation of an innovative environment that ensures the innovative activity of stakeholders.

The main goal of this work is to develop effective forms of financing for cultural industries. Information and methodological elements were formed. ensuring the process of logistics of the cultural services system. As a result, there is an objective need for system monitoring of the database of cultural industry organizations and innovative use of modern information technologies in solving complex economic problems to justify optimal solutions with a variety of alternative options.According to the author's classification of cultural services into passive and active, it is possible to distinguish two ways in the development of basic technologies and in the cultural industry. Mechanisms of innovative interaction of cultural institutions with business and government structures can be divided into several types: project financing (support for certain projects); social innovation and investment (support coincides with certain business strategies); donation interaction with business on a philanthropic basis; investment exchanges for cultural, art and creative projects; service contract (life cycle contract); fundraising for scientific (educational) and cultural services; concessions in the cultural industry; business incubators as a multiplier-accelerator for the culture industry (support for the system of cultural services at an early stage) , etc. The development and application of cross-industry information and communication technologies gives the largest volume of production of cultural services with a low cost, due to the scale of production.

This introduction to the second special collection of articles on the platformization of the cultural industries foregrounds research methods and practices. Drawing from the 12 articles included in this collection, as well as the 14 articles published in the first collection, we identify commonalities in approaches, consistencies in traditions, and uniform modes of analysis. We argue that approaches that have been deployed in media industry studies for decades—semi-structured interviews, discourse analysis, content analysis, and participant observation—remain productive. At the same time, transformations in the temporalities and curation of cultural production require updated modes of investigation and analysis. As such, we spotlight contributors’ novel methods and innovative theoretical approaches, such as the walkthrough method and multi-sided market theory.

Aim. The presented study aims to investigate the system of factors affecting the development of innovation culture in Russian companies.Tasks. Based on qualitative research, the author comparatively analyzes the main structural components of innovation culture in typologically different Russian companies; determines internal and external conditions for the development of innovation culture; substantiates the leading role of the government in regulating formal labor market institutions that form the patterns of innovation culture in society and facilitate the innovative development of Russian companies.Methods. This study uses the methods of analysis and synthesis, comparison and generalization, and general logical research methods.Results. Innovation in Russian companies involves not only new technologies and materials, the production of new products (services) and their introduction to the market, but also the creation of a cultural environment favorable for innovation. The key role in this process is played not only by internal corporate factors, but also by external ones. A company's internal innovation development system includes the strategic commitment of top management to innovation, creativity as the highest value of corporate culture, and implemented management practices aimed at increasing employee receptivity to innovation. System-wide factors of innovation culture are predetermined by the national education system and labor market institutions.Conclusions. The government plays a leading role in the formation of an innovation culture in society. Creative activity in the Russian Federation has only recently found financial and organizational support at the government level. Therefore, it is important not to lose this value orientation and continue the modernization of social processes aimed at the innovative development of the economy. The focus on the formation of innovative culture should be reflected in the activity of labor market institutions (the Ministry of Labor, employment services, migration service, etc., and in the mechanisms of labor market regulation (state employment policy, trade unions, social partnership, and collective agreements).

Slavery is difficult to ascertain in the archaeological record, especially because of the lack of material evidence. Using the Standard Cross-Cultural Sample of 186 societies, our aim was to find indirect and easily identifiable indicators of the presence of slavery. The results show links between slavery and the expected and familiar domains (e.g., warfare, polygyny, social and political integration) as well as its relationship to metallurgy, which can be considered an innovative finding. This text attempts to explain and give context to the metallurgy relationship with historical examples related to the exploitation of slaves during various stages of the operational chain of metal production. These include raw material extraction, production of charcoal, and construction or reconstruction of smelting furnaces.

AbstractContemporary Chinese artists have long been marginalized in China as their ideas conflict with the mainstream political ideology. In Beijing, artists often live on the fringe of society in “artist villages,” where they almost always face the threat of being displaced owing to political decisions or urban renewal. However, in the past decade, the Chinese government began to foster the growth of contemporary Chinese arts and designated underground artist villages as art districts. This article explores the profound change in the political decisions about the art community. It argues that, despite the pluralization of Chinese society and the inroads of globalization, the government maintains control over the art community through a series of innovative mechanisms. These mechanisms create a globalization firewall, which facilitates the Chinese state in global image-building and simultaneously mitigates the impact of global forces on domestic governance. The article illuminates how the authoritarian state has adopted more sophisticated methods of governance in response to the challenges of a more sophisticated society.

The essentiality of the universities’ roles in enhancing economies and transforming societies is a global mantra. However, when it comes to wealthy and oil-dependent states such as Texas in the United States and Qatar in the Middle East, the impact of universities on sustainable economic development is questionable. This article discusses the transformational efforts within engineering colleges at two public universities in Texas and in Qatar to support their states’ visions in moving toward innovative and knowledge-based economies. The study examined the innovation capacity building of both institutions through measuring the transformational leadership styles in engineering colleges and its impact on the faculty’s innovative production of technical articles, patents, and sustainable development-related courses. The cultural impact of the two contexts on the leader–follower relationship was addressed in the discussion using Hofstede’s cultural dimension framework. The results showed that leaders in both colleges possess a transformational leadership style, albeit lower than the norm. This study disclosed that, in the high-power distance contexts, the idealized image of the leader contributed positively toward higher satisfaction of the followers with their leaders and current governance systems, while acknowledgment and rewards were the sources of satisfaction in low-power distance societies. Followers in a low uncertainty avoidance, individualistic, and short-term-oriented context achieved higher technical production. Both public universities expressed the need for government involvement in supporting the culture of innovation.

In the conditions of searching for innovative part of development of the period of sociocultural transformations, the problematic of innovations remains relevant not only within the discourse of scientific-technological progress, but also in the context of discussions on the impact of ethnic culture and its societal values upon production of innovations and determination of methodology for studying such impact. Special attention is given to the experience of modern China and theoretical findings of the Chinese authors, who are actively seeking the answers to these questions within the framework of the objectives of the strategy of building the “innovative state” in China. The goal of this work is to outline the key areas of research on innovations in the context of cultural determinism in China’s modern philosophical thought. The article employs the method of content analysis, as well as hermeneutic interpretation of the text and foreign cultural realities. Textological analysis of authentic materials in the Chinese language is carried out in accordance with the principles of integrity and structuralism, using the methods of comparison, analogy, synthesis and analysis. Based on the analysis of the works of Chinese authors dealing with the phenomenon of innovations through the prism of cultural conditionality, the following areas of research were outlined: theoretical substantiation of interinfluence of culture and innovations; development of methodologies for assessing cultural differences in view of innovations; analysis of the impact of cross-cultural interaction, regional and corporate culture upon production of innovations and innovative development. The article introduces into the scientific discourse the authentic materials by the Chinese authors that describe the peculiarities of the ethnic and regional culture in the context of their influence upon the innovative processes in China. The acquired results and conclusions significantly broaden the outlook upon the problem of interinfluence of culture and innovations, which allows developing practical recommendations in the area of innovative policy and strategy for managing international cooperation in the sphere of innovations.

The role of innovation in the modern world is difficult to overestimate. Innovations perform not only an economic function, but also cover all aspects of society's life and affect personal issues. In the long term, further economic and cultural growth along the intensive path of development is impossible without innovation. Currently, innovation is an active link in all spheres of society. It is impossible to imagine the modern world without implemented innovations, and without future ones that contribute to further evolution. In modern conditions, improving the efficiency of production can be achieved main-ly through the development of innovation processes that are ultimately expressed in new technologies and new types of com-petitive products. Thus, the basis for the development of the country's economy is innovation, and the main guideline is the introduction of new technologies. Innovation has become a major driver of economic and social development. Innovative activity has brought the world society to a new and higher stage of development. The concept of "innovation" is used almost everywhere. Innovation can be understood as the final result of innovative activity, which is embodied in the form of a new or improved product introduced on the market, a new or improved technological process used in practice, a new approach to social problems. In principle, the term "innovation" can be interpreted in different ways; it has an infinite number of formu-lations and definitions. This article reveals the concept of innovation and defines the role of innovation activity in improv-ing production efficiency. Conclusion. Priority should be given to the development of the country based on enhancing innovative activities in the most knowledge-intensive and high-tech sectors of the national economy, which are the most significant and progressive engines for the development of the national economy. Orientation of the development of the national economy towards en-hancing innovative activities using scientific methods and approaches is the key to the success and prosperity of the country, increasing the welfare and living standards of the population. The article is devoted to the philosophical study of the issues of innovative and creative industries developing in modern Russia. The author defines the essence of the sought-for concepts and reveals the trajectories of the formation of “creative cities”, taking into account both attention to their historical and cultural heritage, and to the features of modern creative business. In assessing the cultural policy of the state, characteristic legal documents related to the creative industries were studied; a review of a number of works on the formation of objects of cultural production is presented; the author’s position on trends, contradictions and prospects for the evolution of innovative and creative industries in Russian cities is expressed. Among the problems of the issue under consideration, it is necessary to note the disproportionate development of innovative and creative spaces, concentrated mainly in the largest cities of the country; the absence of a professional expert community that exercises control over projects, especially those approved in line with state funding; the disappearance of the maxim of the spiritual component in the development of urban cultural industries. Nevertheless, the activity of creative and socially oriented businesses in the cultural sphere of Russian cities reflects the great potential of both private interests and state policy in the cultural sphere of Russia.

The article introduces the notion of the European financial co-production, characterized by the mandatory cultural value of the script and empowerment of the minority co-producer through risk-sharing in financing. Eurimages, the Council of Europe’s film fund, inaugurated the first policies promoting European financial co-productions more than two decades ago by introducing the European Convention on Cinematographic Co-production. Many European film funds have followed the same policies on the national level, but the Danish Film Institute has been by far the most innovative. This article explores in more detail the DFI’s internationalization policy actions, particularly its minority co-production scheme, which democratized the practice of European co-production that traditionally had been the sole purview of a narrow circle of high-profile European producers. The shift enabled young Danish producers to engage in minority co-productions, popularizing co-production as a model among Danish producers of all calibres and triggering a dynamic knowledge transfer between co-producers.

The current advancement of this research within the construction sector is the missing link for bridging the gap between the digitisation of building processes and the fabrication of architectural components. Renewed market needs and contemporary design languages require increasingly in-depth digital proficiency for the management of representation and production. The primary challenge of turning digital data into matter in the building design field must be overcome in order to demonstrate a possible transfer of benefits for new constructions, or interventions on existing buildings. The scientific community unanimously states the importance of deepening the most updated digital fabrication systems. With the aim of elaborating a methodological approach that prevents the technique from prevailing over the cultural assets a project requires, the present study proposes an innovative workflow for restoration projects on culturally relevant architecture in a state of degradation.

This article addresses the ‘wicked’ problems met by contemporary public service media (PSM) institutions: to address the fragmentation of audiences across platforms; to have a positive impact on civil society and societal coherence; to facilitate cultural diversity; and to work with private creative industries and facilitate their growth. These objectives can be reduced to a conflict in producing both public and private value. In this article, we build on the combination of innovation systems theory and public value theory to investigate the interrelationships between the production of these different forms of value. Our case study is Estonia’s national pre-selection competition for the Eurovision Song Contest, which is innovative in terms of its cross-media framing and its approach to working with private partners to facilitate the development of the Estonian popular music system.

In Colombia, Rural Development Institutional programs have made of local agents imperceptible since their trajectories have not been considered in the search for solutions to the problems in their territories. The present work introduces an innovative system to the production of the leaves of the plantain variety ‘Cachaco’ (Musa ABB S). This improvement, which was developed independently by indigenous communities of southern Tolima (Colombia), has been studied in detail throughout the technical, economic and social aspects of the productive and commercial processes of some plantain leaves producing farms. Based on their relation with their natural and socio-cultural environments, these communities have prompted their own process of re-peasantization. This productive innovation improves the life quality of the families involved, ensures their permanence in the territory and favors its cultural appropriation.

From the end of the last 1976 military dictatorship, the Buenos Aires underground scene comprised of a web of aesthetic experiences that challenged the conventional ways of dominant culture. Intermeshing art, bodies and politics in an unprecedented and radical way, the artists involved in this scene in the 1980s created relational practices, joyful moments and venues for cultural production. At the end of the decade, young artists and designers of Genios Pobres (Poor Geniuses) gave rise to innovative productions between art, fashion and design. Drawing from interviews with several members of Genios Pobres, this text follows some experiences of the group, with the intention of recovering a compelling yet hardly explored chapter of Argentinian cultural history.

Entertainment and Media industry has enriched human life and is indispensable in contemporary society, in which variety shows play an essential role. In terms of contents and types of variety shows, people are constantly exploring and innovating, creating entertaining programs dealing with topical references. Based on the status quo of Chinese variety-show market, this paper provides insight into successful cases of incorporating Chinese unique characteristics into prevailing shows via innovative modes, in pursuit of both commercial and social values. Mixed research methods, including comparative case study, Semi-structured interview and analysis of existing statistics, are employed to explore this topic. We have four interviewees from distinct fields, which helps us to conduct more comprehensive analysis on the innovation modes applied in both cases--- Sisters Who Make Waves and China Poetry Congress, in view of Schumpeter’s classical definition of innovation. We find that new reassembling of traditional components gives the variety shows a cutting edge, reflected in the application of new technology or the destruction of conventional modes. In fact, the essence of both cultural innovation and mode innovation relies on creative assimilation of original elements. Generally, Chinese variety shows are supposed to enhance the production quality and impacts of platforms through content innovation, mode diversification and giving full play to celebrity benefits.

This essay singles out the Camargo Society's 1931 production of Job as an ‘emblematic’ modernist ballet. Whereas Sacre is emblematic of the pre-war crucible of the modernist avant-garde, Job is emblematic of the culturally reparative interwar years. To approach Job as an emblematic and innovative artwork of interwar modernism, we should locate its genealogy both in the radical, liberatory, experimentalist, and primitivist energies of Sacre, and in the accessibility and identificatory experiences of galvanizing forms of popular dance. Additionally, Job was influenced by the revival of traditionalist forms of participatory dance, which answered a newfound need for reassurance, restoration, and coherence. Job is the product of multiple dance influences in an interwar context, some, but not all, conventionally ‘modernist’. Our understanding of their importance to the cultural history of both the avant-garde and interwar modernism is enhanced if we trace them and appreciate Job's innovative and reparative meanings anew.

Purpose The aim of producing Bah Luj Production, four folk tales books accompanied by a compact disc of its narration, dialogs and music is to revitalize the folk tales, music and cultural heritage of the indigenous Semai by condensing them into an innovative resource package, tailored to appeal to the current generation’s consumer interests and lifestyles. The targeted audiences for the product are Malaysians, in particular the Semai community, as well as other local and international consumers. The purpose of this paper is to examine a practice-led approach toward considering the empowerment of selected culture bearers assisted by the intervention of researchers from the academia in facilitating the sustainability of indigenous cultural traditions in Malaysia. Design/methodology/approach This approach is practice-led – Bah Luj Production was developed based on action, reflection, review and revision. This paper provides visibility to the research process, enabling readers to understand the issues, challenges and decision-making processes. The practice-led approach that was used for this project provides a realistic practical guide, bridging the gap between theory and practice. In the conclusion, the authors also bring forth ideas for improvement through reflection, on suggested approaches in ways this research did not manage to pursue. Findings This paper proposes three approaches in advocating for cultural sustainability through innovation: collaboration between selected culture bearers and researchers in the academia; indigeneity of cultural expressions and illustrations; and adaptability and relevance to current interests of indigenous people and consumers of indigenous music and literature. This paper argues that it is important for the researcher to navigate research with relevance to the context and situation. Research limitations/implications While many articles focus on presenting the outcomes of a research project, this paper guides the reader toward understanding the limitations, constraints and negotiations made by the research team during the research and production stages. Transparency in the process of decision making will enlighten readers on realistic, practical approaches as opposed to idealistic theoretical methods. Practical implications This paper argues for sustainability through innovation and posits that cultural heritage practices that continue to be performed are those that are adaptable, flexible to change and open to innovation – therefore maintaining relevance to time, context and consumers. This paper posits that researchers should be flexible and practical in their research actions and avoid generalizations that come out of recent and popular critical theories as the most, or only suitable, approaches for diverse communities. Originality/value The development of an alternate approach, theory/concept and guidelines toward sustainability through innovation make this study the first of its kind. This approach integrates tradition with creation.

Roger Simpson and Roger Le Mesurier are veterans of commercial television drama production (from Division 4 to Stingers). In the post-Skase/Bond era of deficit funding, their innovative telemovie series (Halifax f.p., Dogwoman) and crime-comedy series (Good Guys Bad Guys) have tested the boundaries of Australian television's staple drama format, the crime series. Taking actors (Rebecca Gibney, Marcus Graham, Magda Szubanski) as hooks for the networks, the joint venture company Beyond Simpson Le Mesurier has brought elements of sketch comedy and a high-concept film aesthetic to the crime series format. Drawing on private investment and public money (FFC, FilmVic, CTPF), Beyond Simpson Le Mesurier exemplifies the current convergence between the film and television industries. Paradoxically, the local success of Simpson Le Mesurier's series (particularly with a post-Fordist, 18–39-year-old demographic) highlights a crisis in the drama production industry — a crisis precipitated by a dramatic drop in international sales, forcing a return to licence fee productions.

Since the 18th century, industrial production has promoted the transformation of social productive forces and the progress of human civilization, formed a unique factory model and industrial civilization, and became a manifestation of the interaction between human and environment. With the industrial transformation in the middle of the 20th century, many large factories have stopped production and closed down, and their abandoned sites have formed a huge industrial heritage because they retain a large number of industrial buildings and machinery and equipment, which has become the focus of attention in urban environmental management and context protection. Industrial heritage has profound historical accumulation and cultural value. For the protection and redevelopment of industrial heritage, reasonable reconstruction plans should be formulated according to the preservation state and cultural value of the local industrial architectural landscape and the innovative needs of the city in terms of economy, people’s livelihood and environment. Under the current background of sustainable urban development and self-innovation, proper protection and development of industrial heritage is not only the functional transformation of abandoned industrial parks but also the functional repair of old urban areas. It is of positive significance for urban tourism development, economic revitalization, livelihood improvement, cultural protection and resilience design

Multifunctionality and social farming represent forms of resilience and innovation within urban and rural systems, making use of agricultural, rural, natural, and cultural resources to produce multiple benefits and eco-systemic services. Social farming (SF) introduces innovative activities capable of representing a factor supporting the competitiveness of the production system and represents a tool for responding to the growing needs of urban and rural populations in social, economic, and environmental terms, in relation to the offer of social- health, social-work, recreative and educational services. SF is an innovative model of territorial, participatory, relational, and community service development that looks to an inclusive, sustainable, fair, and supportive society. Its success is linked to the ability to spread within the economic system and become a circular economy model highlighting good practices and as a virtuous example for other companies. The purpose of this work is to examine the role and social impact that Social Farming has in the environmental, social, and cultural changes of the territories where they are located. Case studies in an area of Southern Italy—the Calabria region—were examined with multicriteria methodologies (social network analysis; multiple correspondence analysis) to identify the type of social activity carried out and the propensity to introduce innovations based on services ecosystems on farms. The results show the potential and value of the companies that carry out these social innovation activities. The analysis carried out has drawn some indicative profiles of socially oriented multifunctional companies.

Industrial era 4.0 became a big chalangge for educators especially for religious and religious subjects or Islamic Educators. Because in addition to teaching religious content that is mandatory for Muslim believers, Islamic Religious Education must also teach that instruct muslim to be creative and innovative, along with teaching about inclusiveism in order to collaborate across ethnic, cultural and religious group in facing the area of disruptive innovation. Which is an opportunity for anyone to pay attention to linearity. Industry 4.0 as the CPS, IoT, and IoS era, has been very systemic, and every industry does not need many people, except computer operators, production network supervisors and all related to computer work control. Therefore, they must be creative people to develop entrepreneurship, or services that are needed by society. Opportunity to be able to do entrepreneurial works is huge, because the world now ignores linierity, instead appreciates more creativity and networking capabilities. Therefore, educators must educate their students, and lecturers also direct their students to be realistic and become creative people. Creative and innovative education has no subjects. Therefore, fostering and enhancing their creativity is done through pendagogy for all subjects, especially subjects such as Islamic Education in schools or universities, so that they can get used to being creative and innovative people. As well as, inclusivism must be forestered and forested through a learning process that touches on aspect of attitude or affective trough discussion and or other techniques that enchance the competencies or learners in collaborating across ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds.

The recent rediscovery of the mosque erected around 1477–84 (882–89) in Tabriz by the Aq Qoyunlu ruler Uzun Hasan (r. 1457–78]) provides new perspectives on ceramic tile production in the former Turkmen capital. The Blue Mosque and its exceptional tile decoration have long been considered to be the last vestiges of the innovative features of the Qara Qoyunlu workshops in Tabriz. The recovery of the Uzun Hasan Mosque sheds new light on this prestigious artistic center: besides confirming the innovative traits of Tabrizi production, its architectural decoration highlights the strong artistic continuity from Qara Qoyunlu to Aq Qoyunlu workshops. These unusual ceramic tiles also constitute a previously unknown stage in the history of Iranian ceramic tiles.

This study aims to identify the criteria for evaluating the innovativeness of an independent film production company in the European film market. Innovativeness of a company consists of inputs to innovation and outputs from innovation. It reveals a company’s potential to implement innovations, which are often sources of competitive advantage. The empirical study involved 29 experts from the European film industry and film production companies. Experts were asked to evaluate 60 criteria in total. The survey results suggest that a company’s innovativeness can currently be evaluated by 51 criteria, of which 15 are the most important. The criteria identified for evaluating a company’s innovativeness are ranked in order of importance for determining a company’s innovativeness. The results obtained allow us to evaluate the innovativeness of a company by comparing independent film production companies with one another in the European film market and thus to determine which company is more innovative. It also makes possible new hypotheses to be raised, analysed and tested. It should be noted that the article was written based on a dissertation in progress.

Category of mentality has additional heuristic capabilities as compared to traditional categories of the mental life. Firstly, it serves as an integral characteristic of the uniqueness of the man’s mental world, and secondly, gives an understanding of the specific type of perception of the world by the subject, thirdly, it explains the distinct way of subject’s activity – his behavior, communication, performance. Because the mentality determines the mode of activity of a social group or an individual; the human activity orientation and it’s specificity, so the mentality can be interpreted as a core for the group and personal culture, also as a strategic cultural program of the subject. One of the basic clashes of society has the form of a contradiction between the mentality, containing new cultural forms, and the social relations. In the course of the individual cultural creativity development as a response to the multiple challenges of history, new mental characteristics are generated in the mentality of the intellectual elite representatives. They represent innovative programs of human being activity – performance, behavior, communication. The new mental characteristics spread in society and become components of group mentalities. This accrued contradiction between the mass mentality and the old social relations generates a constructive tension; negotiation the tension through the reproductive activity of subjects can establish the more progressive social relations. Old elements of mentality, in turn, inherent social inertia and conservatism. They can obstruct the new social relations establishment. Therefore, mentality has the contradictory nature, embodying the dual opposition of tradition and innovation. In the same time mentality is a social progress stimulating factor, and a factor that holds back excessively large and excessively rapid social changes. There is a difference between the mentality of the creators of innovative cultural meanings and the mentality of the masses. In the mentality of the creators that make up the intelligent elite of the society, the innovational component is more intense than the traditional. In the mentality of the masses is vice versa - the traditional component dominates over the innovational. There are many driving motives of the society development: changes in a way of material production, in the culture in general and in education in particular, in engineering, in science. But the most significant force, apparently, displays the changes in mentality that generate new forms of reproductive activity of the subject in the economic, political, social and mental spheres.

Hans Holbein the Younger produced a large corpus of illustrations that appeared in an astonishing variety of Bibles, including Latin Vulgate editions, Desiderius Erasmus's Greek New Testament, rival German translations by Martin Luther and Ulrich Zwingli, the English Coverdale Bible, as well as in Holbein's profoundly influential Icones veteris testamenti (Images of the Old Testament)—to name only his better-known contributions. This essay discusses strategies that the artist developed for accommodating the heterogeneity of the various humanist and Reformation Bibles. For Erasmus's innovative Bibles, Holbein connected the text to the expansive concept of Renaissance humanist art, simultaneously portraying the new Bible and humanist art as part of a broadly defined cultural-philosophical discourse. Similarly, Holbein's production of Protestant Bibles, most importantly the epochal Luther Bible, associated the new text with the humanist Bible and, in so doing, conceptualized the humanist biblical image as a validation of religious art in a new context. Ultimately, the reliance on humanist art as a cultural authority mitigated perception of the heterogeneity of the text to the point that the publishers of Holbein's Icones completely displaced the text with the daring creation of a new genre: the picture Bible. With the exception of the iconography of royal supremacy in England, Holbein's Bible image was exceedingly movable, an artistic efficiency designed to contribute to the stability of the Bible image across a wide humanist and multiconfessional spectrum.

The public service media (PSM) remit requires the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) to provide for minorities while fostering national culture and the public sphere. Social media platforms and projects – specifically ‘social TV’ – have enabled greater participation in ABC content consumption and creation; they provide opportunities for social participation in collaborative cultural production. However it can be argued that, instead of deconstructing boundaries, social media platforms may in fact reconstruct participation barriers within PSM production processes. This article explores ABC co-creation between Twitter and the # 7DaysLater television program, a narrative-based comedy program that engaged its audience through social media to produce its weekly program. The article demonstrates why the ABC should engage with social media platforms to collaboratively produce content, with # 7DaysLater providing an innovative example, but suggests skilled cultural intermediaries with experience in community facilitation should carry out the process.

Mountain regions are undergoing rapid changes, closely intertwined with economic globalisation and neoliberal practices, which modify their production models, land use, population, and lifestyles in unexpected ways. This Special Issue aims to reflect upon ways of living in mountain areas today, taking an innovative stance and a reflexive approach. This Issue examines mountain life from the perspective of the production of locality, being a matter of relationships and context (re)produced by, and within, social interactions (Appadurai, 1996). This approach invites us to take an alternative vantage point to the classical area of mountain anthropology, exploring the making of locality in a global world, while strengthening the debates between issues of im/mobility, migration, and mountain studies.

The mobile house for two-phase litter rearing piglets was developed in the conditions of pasture their housing, the feature of which is that its side walls and roof are made in the form of two similar in shape and length of arched panels. In the back wall of the inner shield is a litter box, a self-feeder for piglets, a feed unit for a sow and a wicket, and in the front wall of the outer shield are doors with a wicket. Along with this, all walls and the roof of the litter box are made of transparent plastic, and the wall located near the self-feeding trough is also made perforated. In addition, the lower edge of the side wall of the inner arch-shaped shield has slides in which the lower edge of the side wall of the outer arc-shaped shield is inserted. A house with transformable fences has been developed to rear the young pigs. The structural feature of the house is the presence on the outside of the walls of the bobbins with a metal mesh edged at the bottom with a flexible sleeve. In order to ensure the conditions of gentle etching of the vegetation cover and to prevent damage to the turf of the pasture, the house can be completed with another type of hedge consisting of two hinged sections with doors on each side of the fence. In addition, the horizontal wings are rigidly attached to the hedge and connected by a metal mesh around the perimeter, the size of the cells of which ensures that the grass is eaten but prevents the turf of the pasture from being undermined. The developed devices for camp-pasture and feeding of maternal stock, suckling pigs, weaning pigs, repair and fattening pigs are well suited for year-round closed non-waste organic pork production using cultural and natural agricultural land. Key words: housing, feeding, devices, sows, piglets, young animals, pasture, organic pork.

The role of innovation in economic development has long been a topic of discussion among economists. Despite that, the economic pay-off mechanisms which support or hinder innovative entrepreneurial acts, particularly in the emerging economy context are significantly underexplored in academic studies. In this study, we aim to fill this important gap in the literature by taking Baumol’s contestable markets theory and the typology of productive and unproductive entrepreneurship. As Baumol has advocated, the economies that offer higher pay-offs to productive entrepreneurial acts are more likely to thrive mainly due to the increased capacity of economic growth, while developing and poor economies struggle. In this study, we posit that in the developing and emerging market contexts, formal policies are claimed to prioritize the production of more innovative and productive start-ups and a climate that supports and fosters productive entrepreneurial acts. Despite that, there are still major administrative, social and cultural barriers towards creation of innovative start-ups and a productive entrepreneurship ecosystem. Here, continuing political, economic and social support towards unproductive entrepreneurship acts, in particular real-estate entrepreneurship emerges as one of the main factors that hinder the flow of funds towards innovation and technology. We thus argue that, being unable to balance the role of these unproductive entrepreneurial acts with productive ones in economy significantly deteriorates the sustainable economic growth and a high standard of living in emerging and developing economy contexts. In the implications section, several precautions and support mechanisms for overcoming the barriers towards productive entrepreneurship are presented and discussed.

The scientific article discusses the features of the development and location of crop production in the North Kazakhstan region, which is the main key branch of the agricultural cluster of the region and the basis for ensuring food security of the population. The purpose of the work is to identify the current state and trends in the development of the industry. Applying the economic and geographical method of research, the authors of the article conclude that ensuring food security both for the population of a particular region and for the country as a whole is possible by solving two main problems. This is a transition to an innovative way of development and acceleration of import products substitution. All this poses an important strategic task for the agro-industrial complex to increase the efficiency of production in agriculture, including crop production. The North Kazakhstan region, being one of the leading regions in the structure of agricultural production of the Republic of Kazakhstan, is the most interesting from a scientific point of view for studying the tasks set.

The internet is most often described in technical terms — as a combination of network protocols, infrastructure and access devices. However, rather than reduce the internet to a technical specification, it is more useful to understand it as an assemblage of technology, people and ideas. The dominant idea informing the internet has been one of openness —embracing a desire for freedom of information and the cultural potential of new communicative possibilities. This ‘meme’ of freedom is predicated on expanded notions of consumption, production and distribution of information, Internet technologies open up a space of possibility that allows for innovative options for information creation and dissemination. This article considers the possibilities of consumption and production that the internet has so far allowed, and suggests that the imposition of new limitations on those activities is indicative of a reconfiguration of the dominant idea of the internet — a reconfiguration that is currently being contested, but one that threatens its ultimate shape. Some suggest — deterministically — that the internet is a technology of freedom, and that openness is embedded in its design. I argue that, far from being intrinsic to the technology. the ‘idea’ of openness is merely one of several competing ideas which might define the internet. Recent constraints on internet consumption and production are evidence that a less open network is not merely possible, but central to the more recent imaginings of government and corporate actors.

In order to improve the production efficiency of traditional non-legacy cultural heritages and create non-legacy cultural and creative products in line with modern aesthetics, the paper combines traditional non-legacy cultural heritages manufacturing technique and modern advanced processing technique, which is conducive to improve the design of traditional techniques of Wuhu iron painting. First of all, this paper analyzes the connotation of traditional non-legacy cultural heritage technology, the categories of modern advanced processing technique and the traditional forging technique of Wuhu iron painting, and introduces the strategy and development history of traditional non-legacy cultural heritage manufacturing technique. Taking Baogong cultural and creative product design as an example, this paper innovates the processing technique of iron painting through cutting and processing, and the design theme is fully realized in the innovative iron painting, which to a certain extent realizes the unity of technique and art, and shows the effectiveness and practicability of modern advanced processing technique in non-legacy cultural and creative product design.
