The migration of highly skilled persons is not a new phenomenon in the global economy. International labour migration has significant economic, social, political, and cultural implications in both developing and developed countries. Given this context this study explores the reasons that contribute to highly skilled persons migrating abroad, using the migration of highly skilled Tanzanians to the UK as an example. The study takes a qualitative exploratory approach that employs a subjective ontology to explore reasons that apply in Tanzania that contribute to the decision for highly skilled Tanzanians to migrate to the UK and its effect on brain circulation in Tanzania. Thematic analysis was used together with Nvivo 10 software to analyse the research findings. Data were collected through qualitative interviews that afforded opportunities to gain understanding from participants’ views, experiences and perceptions of the reasons that contribute to migration decisions. Moreover, remittances, diasporas and return migration were major migration issues perceived by participants who discussed these influences on brain circulation. By returning home, even for a short time, highly skilled Tanzanians can impart their knowledge and experience acquired abroad to ‘circulate’ or mobilise the resources and activities in Tanzania so that they can be used in the most efficient way. Lee’s (1966) theory was used to guide this study and the findings led to a modification of the theory that assisted in suggesting ways in which the Tanzanian government can develop policies that influence its highly skilled people to remain and work in the country, and its expatriates to return for brain circulation. Moreover, given the lack of previous qualitative research studies on the influence of migration of highly skilled Tanzanians on brain circulation, this paper contributes a qualitative method that is of value for future research.

Universities in Libya and in other North African and Middle Easter countries have experienced massive expansion in terms of quantitative growth and geographic distribution in recent years (Al-Badri, 2006; El-Hawat, 2007; Mogassbi, 1984). The labour markets in these countries, on the other hand, traditionally suffer from a shortage of skilled manpower (ILO, 2007). Thus, the main questions of this research are formulated as: In what ways could higher education (HE) skills and changing labour market (LM) needs in Libya be better aligned? The research was conducted by collecting and analysing primary and secondary sources of documented material on the case study of Libya, in particular the second city of Benghazi. The secondary data collection largely focused on the generation of continuous datasets on students and graduate numbers in Libya, a country in which the state controls such sectors as HE, but does not make data on the sectors easily available in the public domain. The empirical data collection comprised semi-structured interviews and the application of the Delphi Technique (DT) to develop future scenarios using a panel of experts. The latter activity generated a final key research question: How can the DT be adapted and applied to the understanding of the relationship between HE skills and LM needs in the context of Libya? This research focused specifically on the graduate skills and attributes of job commitment, competitiveness, desire for excellence and teamwork and problem-solving, due to factors relating to the internal and external environment. The DT has been applied effectively on this topic and has developed the analysis from primary data collection research resulting in four potential strategies for both HE and LM, as follows: 1. Survival strategy: to reduce negative effects of external threats. 2. Defensive strategy: to face threats and strengths as a support. 3. Reorientation strategy: to take advantage of opportunities to decrease weaknesses. 4. Radical strategy: to benefit from opportunities by exploiting strengths. In the light of all that has been said about the strategies for Libyan HE and Libyan LM, three kinds of scenarios - optimistic, possible and pessimistic - have been built for HE and three others for LM.

This thesis examines the perceptions of lecturers, graduates and employers of personal and interpersonal skills development in an accounting degree at Victoria University. The development of personal and interpersonal skills in students in higher education has been the focus of discussion amongst accounting educators, accounting practitioners and the accounting profession for many years. There is a general consensus on what skills are necessarily sought to ensure success within the accountancy profession but very few previous studies on how those personal and interpersonal skills are being developed. This research study presents a research framework which emphasises the complex interrelationships between an accounting curriculum, accounting lecturers, accounting graduates and employers of graduate accountants and their perceptions of how personal and interpersonal skills are developed. A case study approach, combining archival, qualitative and quantitative methods, is used to investigate how a Bachelor of Business Accounting degree in one Australian university facilitates personal and interpersonal skills development. The case study results indicate that the curriculum, as the vector for skills development, has both explicit and implicit references to skills outcomes. Graduates� perceptions of many of the personal and interpersonal skills considered in this study are closely related to the curriculum findings. However, there appears to be a lack of convergence between lecturers� perceptions, the curriculum and graduates� perceptions. Employers generally agree that graduates display most of the personal and interpersonal skills, albeit at a low level, in the workplace. There are curriculum implications arising from the results of this research for accounting academics who design and develop accounting programs where the value of graduates� personal and interpersonal skills are acknowledged. As a first step, academics need to improve accounting curricula by explicitly integrating personal and interpersonal skills in their subjects. Communicating to students the explicit nature of personal and interpersonal skills development and making them aware is the next step.

This study examined academic administrators from Arizona community colleges to determine whether those with different personal (age, sex, administrative experience, office automation experience) and demographic (job title, geographic location) characteristics differed in their office automation attitudes and their perceptions of knowledge and skills. Three subsidiary interests of the study were to examine whether administrators with different (1) perceptions of the importance of--and comfort with--automation skills and knowledge differ in their automation attitudes, knowledge, skill, and geographic location, (2) different demographic variables differ in their amount of--and skill with--automation equipment and software, and (3) different attitudes, knowledge, and skill characteristics differ in their use of automation equipment and software. The literature review discussed the evolution and impact of office automation, office automation in educational settings, and the nature of skills and knowledge in office automation. Research questions focused on the differences in office automation attitudes and perceptions of office automation knowledge and skill of administrators with different (1) personal and demographic characteristics, (2) perceptions of the importance (professionally and to their office) of--and comfort with--office automation, and (3) amounts of, skill with, and use of office automation equipment and software. Results suggest that academic administrators generally (1) have positive office automation attitudes, (2) view office automation as professionally important and important to their offices, (3) show deficiencies in their office automation knowledge and skill. In addition, younger administrators (25-46 years), with the job titles of Dean/Associate Dean, who have experience with office automation (9-15 years) and are employed by urban community colleges are more likely to implement office automation in their offices than older administrators (over 46 years), with the titles of Division Chair or Vice President, who have worked with office automation less than 9 years or more than 16 years, and who are employed by rural community colleges. Recommendations are suggested for continued study in evaluation and assessment of academic administrators' office automation attitudes, knowledge, and skill.

The purpose of this study was to assess the level of correlation between the high school gpa's of high scorers on the SAT and three variables: degree of career focus, level of study skills knowledge and use, and quality of interpersonal relationships. It was hoped that correlations might suggest positive intervention strategies for gifted high school students who are underachieving in high school in order to improve their high school to college transitions.;The researcher worked with school personnel in 20 high schools in the southeastern region of Virginia. High SAT scorers were identified and they were provided with three survey instruments to be completed at home: a degree of career focus scale, the LASSI (Learning and Study Skills Inventory), and the AIR (Assessment of Interpersonal Relations) Scale. Best SAT I scores were collected as well as seventh semester gpa's and correlated against the three survey measures.;It was hypothesized that among these high SAT scorers, gpa would correlate positively with a higher degree of career focus, with a higher level of study skills, and with higher ratings of interpersonal relationships with parents, peers, and teachers.;Statistical analyses revealed significant correlations between SAT and gpa, gpa and the motivation subscale of the LASSI, and gpa and the global score on the AIR as well as the AIR subscales for relationships with father and female peers. Math and total SAT scores also correlated positively with the Test Taking Strategics subscale of the LASSI.;It was concluded that study skills motivation may be a factor in academic underachievement among bright high school students, but that degree of career focus alone was not a good predictor of motivation. It was also concluded that family and peer relationships had an influence on gpa for the research sample, and that SAT scores correlate positively with high school gpa even among a relatively high scoring group.;Further research is needed to discern additional factors which cause, or at least predict, underachievement among gifted students and to assess how these findings and previous research and theorizing may contribute to intervention strategies.

Those who teach in Higher Education in the UK face with the growing internationalisation and diverse landscape of the sector as well as an obligation to provide students with opportunities for personal, professional and academic development. Whilst a great deal has been written about both internationalisation and Personal Development Planning (PDP), a structured and supported process, which is intended to enable individual students to reflect upon their learning and plan for their future (QM, 2000), relatively little is known about international students' perceptions and experiences of such development and planning. This thesis aims to explore issues that are under-represented in the literature, experiences, perceptions and meanings of personal development and PDP among international students, and cast some light· on the complexities of individuals' development and growth. It employs a broadly phenomenological perspective, attending to individual representations and understandings of a small group of culturally diverse students in one university setting, captured with the use of qualitative research methods (concept maps and interviews). Methodologically, it attends to the researcher's specific insider/outsider positioning and highlights reflexivity as the key feature of the research process. It documents the research journey in a transparent and conscious way, evidencing the methodological experimentation and the development of the researcher. This research raises key questions about uncritical application of concepts such as PDP as well as other pedagogic practices in increasingly diverse classrooms that are underpinned by Western philosophical and scholarly traditions. It challenges a narrow perspective of personal development as centred on agency, individuality, self-promotion, independence and personal achievement and gain by inviting a consideration of personal development and learning as socially constructed processes with a wider range of purposes than traditionally articulated by PDP. It also challenges the perception of international students as 'bearers of problems' and 'empty vessels' and contributes to the shift in the literature from the rhetoric of blame and deficiency to the rhetoric of resource - respectful of students' experiences and knowledge. Whilst not claiming generalisability from a small sample of participants, this project nonetheless has broader implications for researching and teaching across cultures, raising awareness of complexities of multicultural education. In this research I focus on students' ideas of personal development (PD) and personal development planning (PDP). By looking for things that support, not hinder their personal, professional, social and academic development I am able to offer some insights into students' conceptions, beliefs, experiences, hopes and aspirations and suggest ways of improving educational practice (especially in terms of PDP).

Government and higher education see the employability of graduates as a priority. Anecdotal and empirical evidence from the researchers own fully accredited institution suggests there is little structure to the delivery of Personal Development Planning (PDP); it is not related to the world of work and of limited relevance to the learning that takes place. A critical review of published literature has revealed that an understanding of the links between PDP and work-based learning (WBL) could provide routes to improving professional membership. The thesis resolves this gap in knowledge enabling HE practitioners to enhance the development of skills and competencies. The research is mainly set in a positivistic paradigm with mixed methods research following a survey based methodological approach. Data collected through questionnaires, structured interviews and focus groups, are used to analyse the opinions and beliefs of staff and students in HE and experienced professionals working at the cutting edge of the construction industry. The work identifies the skills and competencies needed for academic study and employability, with PDP seen as an essential element of an academic course. Reflective practice is key to learning new knowledge and skills in the workplace and empirical investigation suggests experience plays a significant part in the learning process. All students should have an opportunity to see the application of theory with practice through WBL. The research has contributed to the body of knowledge by challenging the inadequacies in existing practice. The thesis identifies the key components and linkages in a theoretically informed model that proposes the use of a Graduate Skills Framework for Construction Management. This new-found understanding and toolkit promotes the teaching of employability skills alongside PDP in a structured programme of WBL. Research participants agree that this is expected to support the development of professional competencies and enhanced capability for the benefit of students, professionals and the construction industry.

My study is of the provision of career education, health education, personal development and student development programmes for students from Years 7 to 10 in ACT high schools. My purpose was to identify why these programmes are not available to all students and what can be done to make them available. The methods I used were an examination of a longitudinal case study of "Bellbird" High School in parallel with a survey of the current system perspective. Although the study focuses on the ACT in Australia, reference is made to the international literature, as well as local, regarding the attitudes of students, parents and teachers to career education, health education, personal development and student development programmes; data collection and interpretation; and the implementation of change. I have used data from three different survey instruments administered at "Bellbird" High School, at five year intervals, in 1978/79, 1984 and 1989. I have used another instrument at system level twice, in two consecutive years, in 1988 and 1989. Each of the instruments was developed for a specific purpose and not for gathering data for this study. All three surveys at "Bellbird" High School were designed to determine the attitudes of students, parents and teachers to aspects of the curriculum. They provided both quantitative and qualitative data. Basically, I have compared the 1979 and 1989 numerical data, and used the 1984 material for confirmation of significant issues. In addition to using qualitative data from these three instruments, I have also used comments from curriculum committee and School Board documents and evaluation reports from the Living Skills Programme. At system level, a questionnaire was designed to gather data about the provision of career education and health education in high schools in the ACT. This instrument, included questions about barriers to these programmes and strategies for overcoming the barriers. The findings were distributed to the schools. The procedure was based on the 'Research, Development and Diffusion' model. People associated with the successful implementation of the programmes under investigation were interviewed to find out what barriers they had faced, how they overcame them and what suggestions they had for overcoming other baniers to these programmes. Using the data CO-jointly with the literature and my own knowledge of cumculum implementation, I have proposed an action plan for "Bellbird" High School to extend the provision of its student development programme to all students. In conclusion, the suitability of the proposed action plan for use in other ACT high schools is appraised and general principles for the system are drawn out.

Today, there is a mismatch between business graduates and employers in the labor market, interms of fit. Much of this mismatch is due to a lack of understanding of the needs of individualemployers. Previous research has not taken into consideration contextual and individualdifferences, which significantly affects what employers want. Hence, in order to understand theemployability of business graduates, one has to recognize the diversity in employer needs,which entails studying the role of organizational identity in employer requirements. The purpose of this research was to get a more comprehensive understanding of how individualemployers in Sweden experience different aspects of Graduate Employability. The dissertationfurther builds on significant research on Graduate Employability, thus making it a study ofdeductive nature. In order to increase the understanding of Graduate Employability, we optedfor an exploratory and qualitative approach. With the use of interviews, we were able to collectin-depth empirical data that were based on real-life experiences and working environments offive individual employers. Our findings illustrated Graduate Employability from a more practical perspective, thusoffering a more nuanced understanding of what employers expect and want from businessgraduates. Not only did we illuminate the concept of Graduate Employability, but we alsohighlighted the importance getting to know the employers and their needs. The contribution of this thesis will help aspiring business graduates to improve theiremployability, but the findings also have implications for higher education institutions andemployers alike.

The "13th five-year plan" establishes the construction of high skilled talents as an important measure to reinforce China’s comprehensive national strength, and enhance the competitiveness and creativity of enterprises to build an innovative country. This implies a systematic understanding of the concept of high-skilled worker and related theories to consolidate the Party’s class basis by developing the progressive characteristics of worker class under the new historical conditions. This research is intended to offer a contribute by focusing on the case of Zhongshan city. By means of a mixed method approach, we conducted documental analysis from publicly disclosed information, 11 interviews with four different critical stakeholders, field visits to 22 enterprises in 15 towns and 3 higher technical and vocational colleges, human resources and social security bureaus in two cities, and two large scale surveys (one targeting employees with a sample of 15375, and another survey targeting enterprises with a sample of 3 075 usable answers). This empirical study is exploratory in nature and looks for insights into current situation about its challenges and problems and develops a model to systematic identify factors to increase high-skilled talent construction in Zhongshan. The model identified six principles followed by six strategic guidelines for optimal high-skilled talent building. A dynamic model is offered combining ability-motivation-opportunity into a three-cycle process around policies destined to foster, attraction, motivation, and retention of highly skilled workers. Based on the model and the principles, operational recommendations are offered. We contend this model and recommendations offer both practical added value as well as theoretical insight to understand and explain future phenomena of similar nature not only in Zhongshan but also in other urban areas.
O 13º plano quinquenal elege o reforço dos talentos altamente qualificados como uma medida importante para reforçar globalmente a força nacional da China, melhorar a competitividade e a criatividade empresarial para construir um país inovador. Isto implica uma compreensão sistemática do conceito de trabalhador altamente qualificado, das teorias conexas para consolidar a classe de base do Partido desenvolvendo as características progressistas da classe trabalhadora sob as novas condições históricas. Esta investigação pretende oferecer um contributo focando se no caso da cidade de Zhongshan. Através de uma abordagem metodológica mista, conduzimos uma análise documental de informação pública, 11 entrevistas com quatro constituintes críticos, visitas de campo a 22 empresas em 15 cidades e três escolas de ensino técnico profissional, escritórios de recursos humanos e da segurança social em duas cidades, e dois inquéritos quantitativos de grande dimensão (um visando trabalhadores com um 15375 e outro visando empresas com uma amostra útil de 3075). Este estudo empírico é de natureza exploratória e procura identificar pistas na situação atual, os desafios, problemas e desenvolver um modelo para identificar de forma sistemática os fatores que levam ao reforço dos talentos altamente qualificados em Zhongshan. O modelo identificou seis princípios seguidos de seis orientações estratégicas para promover a atração, motivação e retenção de trabalhadores altamente qualificados. Com base no modelo e nos princípios, são avançadas recomendações operacionais. Defendemos que este modelo oferece quer valor aplicado quer pistas teóricas para compreender e explicar fenómenos futuros de natureza similar não apenas em Zhongshan mas também noutros espaços urbanos.

The purpose of this study is to probe into the correlations between the personal factors, family backgrounds, and school environment and the self-concept, skill-learning attitudes of the skill-education students of the junior-high schools in Taipei City. To achieve this goal, pertinent data are first collected and then arranged and analyzed as the basis for establishing the theoretical foundation of this study. Thereafter, the method of proportionate stratified random-sampling is employed in conducting the questionnaire survey and collecting practical data information for the analysis of the correlations among the variables through the application of the statistical software (SAS for Windows). The data of this study are analyzed by Student’s t-test, one-way ANOVA, point-biserial correlation, product-moment correlation and the multiple stepwise regression procedure, as well as the descriptive analysis method. The study finds: 1) The mean of “self-concept” and “skill-learning attitudes” of the boy students in the Skill-education Classes of the junior-high schools in Taipei is higher than that of the girl students at a significant level; 2) There is an extremely high positive correlation between the “self-concept” and “skill-learning attitudes” of the skill-education students of the junior-high schools in Taipei; and 3) while the “skill-education attitude” is treated as the criterion for the stepwise-regression procedure, a variance ranking order of the criterion variables with predictive strength by degree is established as: self-concept, self-appraisal school climate, the way of parental supervision, gender, peers, self-appraisal academic achievement and the condition of parental care, among which the “self-concept” ranks the highest. The result of this study can be used as future references for teachers in advising their students or for parents in interacting with their children to effectively monitor the students’ advancement in the self-concept and skill-learning attitude aspects.

Abstract The purposes of this research are follows: First, to explore the relationships between teachers’ personal knowledge management and information literacy skills of vocational high schools Second, to analyze how the status of teachers’ personal knowledge management and information literacy skills varied according to the variables of teachers’ backgrounds. Based on the population from nine vocational high schools located in Changhua. The research adopted purposive sampling and obtain the conclusions as follows: 1.The current status of teachers’ personal knowledge management and information literacy skills of vocational high schools is mostly good except the age of older level and the educational background of college. 2.There were significant differences of teachers’ personal knowledge management among teachers from public and private school. And there were also significant differences of information literacy skills among teachers from age, working years and education background. 3.The better information literacy skills the teachers perform, the better personal knowledge management the teachers will be. 4.「Information evaluation skill」factor of information literacy skills is the most important variable to explain teachers’ personal knowledge management. Finally, this study also points out the limitation, and offer the recommendations for educational organizations, vocational high school teachers and following research .

The purposes of this study were first, to investigate the relationship among the personality trait of junior high school students in Taipei city, the attitudes of Physical Education of junior high school students in Taipei city, and their volleyball serve skills; second, to explore the relationship between the personality trait of junior high school students in Taipei city and their performance of volleyball serve skills; last, to explore the relationship between the attitudes of Physical Education of junior high school students in Taipei city and their performance of volleyball serve skills. This study used questionnaires to collect researching data, which includes personal information, personal trait scale, physical education attitude scale and scores of techniques and skills of volleyball. The subjects of this study were the students in public junior high school of Taipei city. Two schools were randomly chosen from each district of eastern, western, southern and northern Taipei city, which made it eight schools in total. From these eight schools, two classes in the third grade were randomly chosen. 30 questionnaires were given to each class. Through random sampling, 480 questionnaires were given to the subjects. Among the returned 464 questionnaires, there were 464 questionnaires valid at 96.5% usability. Descriptive statistics, stepwise multiple regression and Pearson correlation were used to analyze to collected data. The findings of this study were as follows, 1. The scores from both the personal trait scale and the PE attitude scale are above the intermediate level. 2. The assessed scores of technical skills of volleyball were 22 at the top group and 8 at the bottom group. 3. There was a significant positive relation among the personal trait, physical education attitude and techniques and skills of volleyball. Accelerating technological and social innovation drives the need for graduates ready for self-directed lifelong learning. Self-directed learning (SDL) projects are now an integral part of many formal undergraduate programs across the disciplines. A Personal Development Portfolio (PDP) based on Grow’s Iterative Staged Self-directed Learning Model was introduced into a second year Information Systems course to raise awareness of the need for SDL and enable students to drive their own learning. The study evaluates the success of the PDP in preparing graduates as self-directed lifelong learners. Students’ reflective writing and learning journals, together with submitted portfolio work was taken as evidence of success and difficulties. Resistance often accompanies the changes introduced by SDL. This research therefore also explores the potential for business change management principles in mediating change to the educational environment. Student engagement with SDL was found to be accomplished with mixed success; most students demonstrated initial resistance, while many developed into focused reflective learners over time. While students were able to define appropriate learning goals and reflect on progress and achievement, mixed ability in specifying resources, strategies and validation to support their learning was found. Creating change readiness through messaging, cooperative SDL and using adapted change management models were of use in refining the SDL process.

The specific aim of this study is to explore the relationship between personal background, learning behavior and Hospitality Service Skill Assessment in Technical High School Students Majoring in Food and Beverage Management. The questionnaire was mailed to a sample of 500 potential respondents from third grade of food and beverage management department at Y Technical High School in Taoyuan County. 463 respondents completed the questionnaire and valid questionnaires were used for the final analysis. The effective response rate was 94.6%. The method to carry out this study was using a survey comprised of four questionnaires, “Personal Background Scale”, “Learning Motivation Scale”, “Learning Attitude Scale” and “Learning Environment Scale”. To address this issue, several types of statistical analyses were used: frequency distribution, percentage analysis, mean and standard deviation, Chi-square Test, t-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient. According to literature review and detailed statistical analyses, three main research findings are worth summarizing: 1.Students’ performance of Skill Assessment varied depending on academic structure and class category. 2.Students with different personal background variables of “Gender”, “Academic Structure”, “Career Development Plan”, “Father’s Educational Level” and “Mother’s Career Related to Catering” significantly differ in their learning behaviors. 3.Students’ performance of Hospitality Service Skill Assessment were significantly associated with the learning behavior variables. This study was discussed according results and offered suggestions in the future study for teachers and students.

A profissão de contabilista tem vindo a sofrer alterações no que diz respeito às suas funções, devido à crescente globalização e ao desenvolvimento tecnológico. Pelo que, os recrutadores defendem que um atual contabilista deve ter conhecimentos de outras áreas, além das contabilísticas, e possuir competências mais gerais e tecnológicas. Face a isto, as empresas veem nos recém-graduados o capital humano mais adequado para satisfazer estas necessidades e, consequentemente, ganhar vantagem competitiva face aos seus concorrentes. Contudo, as empresas ainda demonstram alguma insatisfação com as competências adquiridas nos recém-graduados. Neste contexto, este estudo tenciona analisar a perceção de estudantes de Licenciatura e Mestrado em cursos de Contabilidade acerca das competências mais relevantes para o sucesso de um contabilista e verificar se vão ao encontro das expetativas do mercado. Para além disso, estudar se a experiência profissional e o grau académico podem influenciar a importância atribuída às competências. No inquérito efetuado a estudantes de cursos de Contabilidade verifica-se que os mesmos assumem maior importância às competências ligadas à ética e à utilização de aplicações de tratamento de dados. Esta investigação contribui para um melhor conhecimento das competências que os estudantes do ensino superior (atuais e futuros contabilistas) percecionam que devem obter para responder às necessidades dos empregadores, bem como poder eventualmente servir como alicerce para futuras mudanças nos métodos de ensino para que haja uma maior convergência entre o que os estudantes e as instituições de ensino oferecem e o que o mercado empresarial procura.
The accounting profession has been undergoing changes in its functions due to increasing globalization and technology development. Recruiters therefore argue that an accountant must have knowledge from other areas than accounting and have more general and technological skills. Face to it, companies sees recent graduates as the most suitable human capital to satisfy these needs and, consequently, gain a competitive advantage over their competitors. However, companies still demonstrate some dissatisfaction with skills acquired in recent graduates. In this context, this study intends to analyze the perception of Bachelor and Master students in Accounting courses about the most relevant skills for the success of an accountant and verify if they meet the expectations of the market. In addition, study whether the professional experience and the academic degree can influence the importance attributed to the skills. In the survey conducted on accounting students, it was found that they assume greater importance to skills related to ethics and the use of database applications. This investigation contributes to a better understanding of the skills that higher education students (current and future accountants) perceive they need to obtain to meet the needs of employers, as well as possibly serving as a foundation for future changes in teaching methods to bring more convergence between what students and high education institutions offer and what the business market demands.

A pandemia de COVID-19 provocou alterações de forma imperativa no contexto de trabalho das organizações em Portugal e por todo o mundo, impulsionando a investigação acerca do trabalho remoto, pela necessidade de compreender de que forma as empresas e os seus gestores deverão adaptar os seus processos e práticas. Os estudos desenvolvidos no âmbito do trabalho remoto ao longo das últimas décadas focam-se essencialmente na identificação dos benefícios e desvantagens do teletrabalho para os trabalhadores e para as empresas e na análise do papel de alguns fatores. O objetivo deste projeto consiste na elaboração de uma proposta de formação que providencie conhecimentos, ferramentas e o desenvolvimento de competências aos gestores de recursos humanos e outros profissionais da área para a mitigação dos obstáculos associados ao trabalho remoto e a potenciação dos benefícios. A metodologia utilizada na recolha de dados permitiu reunir um conjunto de perspetivas acerca dos desafios e necessidades inerentes à implementação do teletrabalho através de jornais, relatórios de entidades relevantes de gestão, de plataformas online de formação e oferta de emprego e da realização de um questionário ao público alvo da formação. A análise integrada dos conteúdos obtidos permitiu identificar as principais categorias e subcategorias englobando as exigências do teletrabalho e os recursos necessários. Posteriormente, realizou-se a definição dos objetivos de aprendizagem e o alinhamento da estrutura e da metodologia da formação para a concretização destes objetivos. A proposta de formação elaborada oferece um valioso contributo na transferência dos princípios teóricos alcançados na investigação para um contexto prático.
The COVID-19 pandemic brought imperative changes in the work context of organizations in Portugal and around the world. This phenomenon increased research on remote work, due to the need to understand how companies and their managers should adapt their processes and practices. The studies carried out in the field of remote work over the last decades have focused on identifying the benefits and shortcomings of telecommuting for workers and companies and on analysing the role of some factors. The goal of this project is to prepare a training proposal that provides knowledge, tools, and the development of relevant skills to human resource managers and other professionals in the field to mitigate the obstacles and problems associated with remote work and maximize the benefits. The methodology used in data collection allowed us to gather a wide range of perspectives regarding the challenges and needs inherent to the implementation of telework through newspapers, reports from relevant management entities/organizations, online training and job offer platforms and the completion of a questionnaire to the target audience of the training. The integrated analysis of the content obtained from each source allowed the identification of the main categories and subcategories, seeking to cover the demands of telecommuting and the necessary resources. Subsequently, we proceeded to define the learning objectives and the alignment of the structure and methodology of training to achieve these objectives. The training proposal elaborated offers a valuable contribution in transferring the theoretical principles reached in the investigation to a practical context.

Conclusion: The research shows that players of Kaohsiung Municipal Fu Cheng Senior High School mainly use quick attack combining top spin and top spin combining quick attack. If they could participate more national events,and train themselves to strengthen their advantages and improve shortcomings. Someday, they can greatly enhance their personal achievement."
