Анотація:
The present investigation was carried out at Department of Horticulture, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Allahabad, during the period 2023. The experiment was laid in completely randomized block design with 11 treatments and was replicated three times. Berc.v. Gola Ber were collected from Department of Horticulture, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture Technology and Science, Praygaraj. Seeds were Germinate in polybags. Seeds were soaked for 12 hours in both Ga3. The treatment T10 Soil + FYM + VC + PM (1:1:1:1) + GA3 @150ppm (Seed soaked for 12 hours) registered significantly maximum vegetative growth, Germination Percenatge % Stem diameter (mm). On the basis of our experimental finding it can be concluded that the best result was found in treatment T11 Soil + FYM +VC + PM (1:1:1:1) + IBA @50 ppm (Seed soaked for 12 hours) in term of vegetative growth parameters viz., plant height (cm), Number of leaves per plant Survival Percenatge %, leaf area (cm2) and, chlorophyll content of Ber (Ziziphus mauritiana) c.v. Gola ber.

An experiment was conducted on the topic “Effect of NPK on Growth, Yield and Quality of Chilli’’ during winter season 2021-22 at the Research Field of Department of Horticulture, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj. The observations were recorded on the parameters i.e. Growth, Yield, Germination Percentage, Quality. Which included the Plant Height, Number of Branches, Flowering, Plant Spread, Germination Percentage, TSS, Fruit Color, Fruit Length, Fruit Diameter, Yield/plant, Yield/hectare, Fruit Weight. In order to achieve maximum production without lowering the quality of the chilli, A study was conducted at the Department of Horticulture, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj. Eight treatments were used in the experiment, which was set up in a randomized block design and triple duplicated. Results demonstrates that the treatment (T3) i.e. 140:90:80 NPK combination gives superior Plant height (80.83cm), A greater number of branches (9.66), maximum number of fruits per plant (47.33), Fruit length (10.66 cm), Fruit girth (4 cm), Yield (23.95 t/ha), Gross profit (479,000.00 Rs/ha), Net profit (361,554.00 Rs/ha), B:C ratio (4.07). The level of NPK enhanced the yield, improve the input-use efficiency by the crop and can certainly lower down the expenditure on costly fertilizers to the farmers.

An experiment was conducted on the topic “A study on vertical gardens in urban areas’’ during rainy season 2021-22 at the Research Field of Department of Horticulture, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj. The observations were recorded on various growth parameter. Vertical gardens are becoming a common component in contemporary garden designs at urban living spaces because of shrinking land spaces. Successful growing of plants in vertical garden systems depends up on growing container, plant chosen, growing media etc. Hence a study was carried out in the Department of Horticulture, Sam Higginbottom university of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj, India with the objective to study about suitable media composition along with vermicompost, perlite, coir pith, pumice stone and peat moss on growth and performance of ornamentals plant for establishment of vertical garden and to study the performance of ornamental plants viz., Duranta erecta, Hemelia patens, Iresine lindeni, Tabernamontana divaricata, Hemelia patens, in plastic pot for establishment of vertical garden. The experiment was laid out in Completely Randomised Design in plastic pot with five treatment combination of various growing media mixtures comprising soil, river sand as basic components in combination with organic manures (vermicompost, coir pith, perlite, peat moss, pumice stone). The plant growth parameters and ornamental morphological characters observed. Among the five ornamentals plants used Golden duranta and Mini Chandani performed better as ornamental plants in vertical garden system with the growing media of soil:cocopeat:vermicompost:perlite (1:1:1:0.5).

To determine “Effect of Nitrogen Management on Growth and Yield of Pearl Millet” the result revealed that treatment 6 [25% Nitrogen through poultry manure + 75% Nitrogen through urea] recorded significantly higher plant height (183.10 cm), higher plant dry weight (64.49 g), higher ear head length (26.10 cm), maximum number of ear head/plant (2.20), higher grain yield (2.46 t/ha) and higher straw yield (6.79t/ha).

A trial was conducted at the Vegetable Research Farm, Department of Horticulture, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology & Sciences, Prayagraj (UP) during 2022 to study the “Effect of different levels of foliar spray of water-soluble fertilizer NPK on growth yield and quality of Curly Kale (Brassica oleracea var. acephala)”results revealed that maximum plant height, leaf area, days to germination, days to leaves picking ,number of leaves per plant, average leaves weight, yield per plot, yield per hectare, TSS and chlorophyll content were found in T6 {5% (N.P.K. 20:20:20) + 75% RDF.

Okra plants were treated with (boron and zinc) subjected to growth, yield and quality parameters and showed better results in combination treatment T7 [0.3% Boron + (RDF 100:40:100)] the treatment whereas minimum was observed in T0 (control).

In Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, at the Crop Research Farm of the Naini Agriculture Institute of the Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology, and Sciences, Department of Agronomy, during the Kharif season of 2022, the field experiment titled "Response of zinc and nano urea on growth and yield of maize (Zea mays L.)" was carried out. The results showed that the application of Zinc 30 kg/ha + Nano urea 4 ml/l considerably increased the growth parameters viz. plant height (195.01 cm), dry weight (90.62 g), number of grains per cob (476.79), cob length (21.2 cm), grain yield (4.33 t/ha), and stover yield (6.65 t/ha).

The betelvine (Piper betle L.) is a perennial climbing evergreen shrub belonging to the Piperaceae, also known as the pepper family. The present study were carried out at farmer’s field in collaboration with Department of Plant Pathology, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture Technology and Sciences Prayagraj to find out the ecological, environmentally and biological safe treatment to manage the disease as well increases the plant height and leaves length. Among all the treatment Trichoderma harzianum found to increase maximum plant height at different days after planting. While, Trichoderma viride increases the maximum leaves length and breadth during both the year.

An experiment was carried out in the Department of Horticulture, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj, from November, 2023 to March, 2024. The experiment was conducted in Randomized Block Design (RBD) with fifteen varieties, replicated thrice. It is concluded that among the different varieties of gladiolus variety V6 (Pusa Suhagin) performed significantly better in plant height (90.69 cm), number of leaves (10), leaf area index (0.22), spike length (113.6 cm), more number of spikes per plant (2.83), more number of florets per spike(16), however less number of days taken for first sprouting recorded in V15 (Snow Board, 7 days) and Vase life highest in variety V9 (Arka Pratham, 11.66 days).

Анотація:
An experiment was conducted during in Zaid season (March 2022-June 2022) to study the “effect of different levels of NPK and Zinc on soil health in black gram (Vigna mungo L.)” on central research farm of Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj. A randomized block design was used to set up the experiment, with three levels of NPK (0%, 50%, and 100% NPK) and three levels of zinc (0%, 50%, and 100% zinc). The outcome demonstrates that inorganic fertilizer application had a non-significant effect on soil physical-chemical parameters (BD, PD, pH, EC and OC) and significant increase in pore space, water holding capacity, available nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and zinc in treatment T9 [NPK at 100% + zinc at 100%] than other treatments.

The experiment was conducted during 2022-23 at the vegetable Research Field of Department of Horticulture, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj. The observations were recorded on various growth, yield and quality contributing characters. The results from the present investigation revealed that on the basis of mean performance of eighteen hybrids of Chilli, hybrids 20CHIHYB4 (50.03 q/ha) and 21CHIHYB3 (49.47 q/ha) were found superior in terms of Fruit yield (q/ha). On the basis of Analysis of variance significant difference was recorded for all the quantitative and qualitative traits indicating presence of large amount of variability in the hybrids. The maximum gross return, net return and Benefit cost ratio Rs. 101260.00, Rs. 41260.00 and 1.6 respectively were recorded in hybrid 20CHIHYB4.

Анотація:
The experiment was conducted in the Department of Horticulture, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj (UP),during February, 2022 to May, 2022 with two varities of Dracaena reflexa and seven potting mix. The objective of the experiment is to find out the better performance of pleomele (dracaena reflexa) varieties in different potting media under prayagraj agro- climatic conditions. The experiment was laid out in FCRD with 14 Treatment combination replicated thrice. The results revealed that treatment combination V1T7 i.e. Song of India in medium of - Cocopeat: sand: FYM: vermicompost: perlite(1:1:1:1:1v/v) – performed significantly better in terms of plant height, plant spread, number of leaves, root length, leaf width, leaf length and stem girth.

Evaluation of ten marigold varieties/ hybrids of African marigold, has been taken up at Vegetable farm, Department of Horticulture, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology & Sciences, Prayagraj (UP) during 2022-23 The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design (RBD) with three replications. The analysis of variance revealed significant variation for most of the parameters. The result revealed that highest plant height (T10) (92.93 cm), number of branches (T7) (27), was noted in recorded maximum leaf area index (T7) (3.25 cm) and flower bud initiation (T10) (45). Earliest 50% flowering (T10) (57 days). No. of flower per plant highest in (T7) (78), highest yield per plot (873.34 g) and yield hactare-1 (4.37 t.) in (T7) Pusa Basanti.

The experimentation entitled Effect of different organic manure and inorganic fertilizer on growth, yield and quality of okra (Abelmoschus esculentus L.) during kharif (Rainy) season at Horticulture Research Farm, Department of Horticulture, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology & Sciences, and PRAYAGRAJ (UP) during 2022. Due to the heavy application of chemical and fertilizer, land and water bodies are getting polluted So, to reduce the degradation of soil, we have used combination of organic and inorganic sources of nutrients. The experiment was laid out in a randomized block design with three replications and thirteen treatment combinations. F1 Hybrid Covi Plus was selected for this study. We have found that application of 75% NPK and 25% of vermicompost respectively gave highest yield (19.57 t/ha).

An experiment was carried out in the Post Harvest Technology laboratory, Department of Horticulture, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh) during the year 2022-2023. The experiment consisted of 10 treatments and 1 control. The investigation laid out in Completely Randomized Design with three replications. Ber candy was stored for 80 days at ambient temperature. From storage studies it was revealed that T3 ( jaggery + ginger ) performed best in terms of quality ( taste, flavour, overall acceptibility ) and storage. With a fairly high Benefit-cost ratio of 2.34.On the basis of results it is concluded that treatment T3 be used for commercialization. The results indicated that the quality observations and sensory evaluation are affected by various treatments.

At the Crop Research Farm (CRF), Department of Agronomy, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Zaid season 2022, a field experiment was carried out. The experiment consisted of 10 distinct treatments using three replications of a Randomized Block Design for the management of Gypsum and Zinc nutrients. Evaluation of the "Effect of gypsum and foliar application of zinc on growth and yield of groundnut (Arachis hypogaea)" was the major goal of the experiment. Gypsum levels were 200, 300, and 400 kg/ha. In contrast, three levels of zinc were applied topically at 2000, 3000, and 4000 ppm. From the current experiment, it can be inferred that Gypsum 400 kg/ha + Zinc 4000 ppm can ensure the profitable production of groundnuts. (T9).

The experiment was laid out in RBD (Randomized Block Design) with 10 treatments each replicated thrice. To determine the “Influence of Sulphur and Liquid Organic Nutrient on Growth and Yield of Groundnut.’’ The result revealed that treatment 9 [sulphur (40 kg/ha) + seaweed (3%)] recorded significantly higher plant height (37.36 cm), maximum number of nodules/plant (18.66), higher plant dry weight (25.38 g), maximum number of pod/plant (24.92), higher number of kernels/pod (2.60), higher seed index (41.92 g), higher seed yield (2.72 t/ha), higher haulm yield (6.33t/ha) and higher harvest index (30.01%).

A research investigation was conducted during rabi season 2023 at Horticulture research field, SHUATS (Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture Technology and Sciences) Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, India to determine the economic variation and benefit cost ratio of ten different sweet potato genotypes. The production output of ten different sweet potato genotypes was computed by Cost Benefit ratio (CBR).The Cost Benefit Ratio analysis indicated that the most promising and profitable variety was Sree Nandini followed by Sree Bhadra and Kishan. The highest Cost Benefit Ratio (CBR) of Sree Nandini was 10.82, followed by Sree Bhadra 10.53 and Kishan with 8.3 respectively. According to the agro climatic condition of Prayagraj Sree Nandini Variety of sweet potato is recommended to farmers as it gives a profitable output.

The study was conducted at the Research Farm at Department of Horticulture, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology, and Sciences in Prayagraj during the years 2021-22 and 2022-23. The experiment involved thirteen treatments namely triacontanol at concentrations of 10ppm, 15ppm, 20ppm, and 25ppm, brassinolide at concentrations of 5ppm, 10ppm, 15ppm, and 20ppm and nitrobenzene at concentrations of 100ppm, 200ppm, 300ppm, and 400ppm, organized in Randomized Block Design with three replications. These treatments were applied twice at fifteen-days interval. The result revealed that T5 - triacontanol @ 25 ppm demonstrated the most favorable outcomes concerning plant height (63.3 cm), number of leaves per plant (62.6), leaf area (14.9 cm2), and diameter of shoot (12.9 mm) while T9 - brassinolide @ 20 ppm marked longer vase life (9.8 days).

A field experiment was conducted during rabi 2022-23 at Crop Research Farm, Department of Agronomy, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj (U.P) to determine the “Effect of Nitrogen management on growth and yield of wheat”. There were nine treatments each replicated thrice and the experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design. The results showed that treatment 6 (75% N through urea + 25 % N through poultry manure) recorded significantly higher plant height (119.20 cm), maximum number of tillers/ m2 (214), higher plant dry weight (64.34 g), highest Crop growth rate during the interval of 50-75 DAS (35.73 g/m2/day), maximum number of effective tillers/ m2 (144.5), maximum number of grains/ spike (53.33) and highertest weight (97.71 g) compared to other treatments.

The present experiment was conducted at Department of Horticulture, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj during the session 2022 - 2024. The experiment was laid out in randomized block design with three replications, and the study consists of eleven treatment combinations including control. The best treatment was T7 (Amalgerol Essence 3.8 L /ha.) which shows highest values in all the parameters viz., day to germination (10.44), survival % (72.04%), plant height (cm) 90 DAT (77.39 cm), number of branches/plant 90 DAT (10.18), plant spread (53.07 cm), Days of 50 % flowering (56.38), days to first flowering (39.51), days of first harvesting (80.70). Increased growth, flowering might be due to the increased absorption of nutrients when given as foliar application.

A field experiment was carried out during Rabi season, 2020 at Wheat Breeding Experimental Field, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS), Prayagraj (U.P). The soil of experimental site was sandy loam in texture and nearly neutral in soil reaction with (pH 6.7). The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design and fourteen wheat genotypes were replicated fourfold. Study revealed that the genotype G12, i.e., NERI-312 recorded significantly higher plant height (100.50 cm), number of tillers/hill (10/hill), plant dry weight (26.14 g), length of the spike (13.5 cm), number of grains per spike (42.95), test weight (40.05 g), grain yield (4.18 t/ha) and straw yield (6.04 t/ha). It was evident that the genotype NERI-312 was found to be productive.

An experiment was conducted to evaluate the performance of different hybrids of sponge gourd (Luffa cylindrical (L.) Roem.) in Prayagraj Agro-climatic condition during Rabi season 2021-22. It was conducted at the Vegetable Research Farm, Department of Horticulture Naini Agriculture Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of agriculture, technology and Sciences (SHUATS), Prayagraj (U.P). The experiment was laid in a randomized block design with three replications. The result from the present investigation revealed that among 14 hybrids of sponge gourd, 2 hybrids namely AVT-II 2019 SPGHYB-5 and AVT-II 2019 SPGHYB-3 exhibited substantially higher fruit yield per plant (4.66) and performed better for other desirable traits in Prayagraj agro-climatic conditions. In terms of economics, the best benefit- cost ratio (4.14) was obtained by AVT-II 2019 SPGHYB-5 hybrid with high returns.

Rapeseed-mustard is one of the major oilseed crops cultivated in India. Alternaria brassicae is the most destructive pathogen of oilseeds. The present study aims to evaluate the effect of bio-agents and elicitors on Alternaria brassicae of mustard in vitro using dual culture technique and poison food technique in completely randomized design (CRD). The study was conducted at the Department of Plant Pathology Laboratory, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology And Sciences, Prayagraj. The results revealed that among bio-agents, Trichoderma viride + Pseudomonas fluorescens (87.70mm) recorded the maximum per cent inhibition of mycelial growth of Alternaria brassicae, followed by Trichoderma viride (82.60mm). Among elicitors, the maximum per cent inhibition of the pathogen was recorded by salicylic acid at 150 ppm (75.33%), followed by salicylic acid at 100 ppm (58.69%).

During rabi season (2022-2023). This study aimed to evaluate different varieties of Chrysanthemum in terms of growth, yield and quality characteristics. The experiment was laid out in Randomized block design (RBD) with 15 treatments and each treatment replicated thrice. The treatments consist of different combinations of varieties. Treatment T4 (Red Baby) was statistically significant compared to other treatment combination, which recorded highest plant height (33.9 cm), No. of branches (31.8), Plant Spread (20.3cm)] , Stalk Length (22.3 cm) , Flower weight (3.8 g) , Self – life (25 days) , Vase life (7.4 days) and quality in comparison to other varieties. The highest Benefit Cost Ratio was found in variety V4 (Red Baby) with 2.32.

The field experiment was carried out at central research farm of Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj during Kharif season year 2022-2023. The experiment was comprised of 9 treatments with 3 level of NPK and Vermicompost in randomized block design. The treatment T9 has shown the significant results when applied 100% of NPK with Vermicompost among the different levels of treatment combination. Growth parameters viz., plant height (171.10 cm), number of leaves plant-1 (14.65) at 90 DAS (day after sowing), and yield parameters viz., length of cob (24.73 cm), number of grains cob-1 (308), test weight (218.46 g), grain yield (46 q ha-1) has shown best in treatment T9 (NPK @ 100% + Vermicompost @ 100%) of maize (Zea Mays L.) in comparison to other treatment combination.

A significant increase in plant height (53.60 cm) at 80 DAS, dry weight (37.73 g), kernel yield (2.47 t/ha), gross return (157520.00 INR/ha), net return (106768.40 INR/ha), and B:C ratio (2.10) were seen following the application of sulphur at a rate of 60 kg/ha plus 1% FeSO4.

An experiment to ascertain the performance of different varieties of bougainvillea (Bougainvillea glabra Choisy) propagated through hardwood cuttings under 50% shadenet house conditions was carried out from February to July, 2022, in the Department of Horticulture, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology And Sciences SHUATS, Prayagraj. The experiment was laid out in completely randomized design (CRD), with fourteen different bougainvillea varieties, replicated thrice. Among the different varieties of bougainvillea, variety Isbel Green Smith recorded minimum days taken to first sprouting (10 days) and days taken to 50% sprouting (10.3 days), variety Joe de Libra recorded maximum sprouting percentage (96.7%) and success rate (96.7%). Length of first shoot/cutting (3.8 cm) and number of leaves/cutting (58.9) were recorded in variety Shubra, whereas, variety Chandraberi recorded maximum girth of first branch (4.4 cm).

The field experiment result revealed that R-305 has significantly increased the growth parameters viz., Plant height (125.87 cm), Number of tillers (16.30), Plant dry weight (47.60 g/plant), Tillers/m2 (388.10), Panicle length (29.34 cm), Grain yield (6.95 t/ha) and Straw yield (12.80 t/ha). Maximum gross return (INR 200625/ha), net return (INR151579/ha), and highest B:C ratio (3.09) was also in recorded R-305.

Imidacloprid 17.8 SL exhibited the highest population reduction (95.210), followed by Dimethoate 30 EC (82.887), Acetamiprid 20 SP (69.350), Neem oil 5% (48.767), N.S.K.E. (42.040), Verticillium lecanii 1.15 WP (39.95), Beauveria bassiana 1.15 WP (30.707), with the untreated plot showing the minimum reduction. The cost-benefit analysis of treatments revealed that. Imidacloprid 17.8 SL demonstrated the highest return (1:5.23), followed by Dimethoate 30 EC (1:4.26), Acetamiprid 20 SP (1:4.16), Neem oil 5% (1:3.67), N.S.K.E (1:3.45), Verticillium lecanii (1:2.77), and Beauveria bassiana (1:2.61). The control plot yielded the lowest return (1:1.56).

A field experiment was carried out during Kharif, 2020 at Crop Research Farm, Department of Agronomy, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj (U.P) on sandy loam soil to assess the effect of biofertilizers and phosphorus on growth parameters and yield of Cowpea. The design of field experiment was Randomized block design consisting of ten treatments each replicated thrice. Experimental results showed significant increase in growth parameter viz., Plant height (81.09 cm), number of branches (4.87), number of nodules (53.27), plant dry weight (30.43 g/plant), crop growth rate (12.59 g/m2/plant) and yield attributing parameters viz., pods/plant (14.73), seeds/ pod (8.85), 100-seed weight (8.02 g), seed yield (2.62 t/ha) and biological yield (9.07 t/ha) were recorded with dual inoculation of Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria and Vesicular Arbuscular Mycorrhiza along with 55 kg phosphorus per hectare.

The Research was conducted at the Soil Science Research Farm, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj, U.P during the Kharif 2020-2021 in which maize is sown. The experiment was laid out in Factorial-Randomized Block Design with Sixteen treatments and three replications includes four levels of Sulphur and Boron that leads to the non-significant findings i.e B.D, P.D, % pore space WHC and pH and remaining macro-micro nutrients such as OC, N, P, K, S and B were found significantly low to medium range, which comprises yellowish brown sandy loam textured neutral to alkaline soil that is nonsaline in nature among all the sixteen treatment combination applied the treatments T16 has shown the synergistically best results in improvising the soil nutritional status that leads to increased crop yield and increased morphological parameters as well.

The Experiment “Effect of an organic source of nutrients on growth yield and quality of strawberry (Fragaria x ananassa Duch.) cv. Winter Dawn” was carried out during the year 2021-2022 in the Department of Horticulture, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture Technology & Sciences Prayagraj in November 2021 to March 2022. The field experiment was conducted during rabi season, 2022 at Crop Research Farm, Department of Agronomy, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology And Sciences, Prayagraj (U.P) to study the “Response of Nitrogen and Phosphorus on Growth, Yield and Economics of Fodder Maize (Zea mays L.)". The results showed that treatment 9 [Nitrogen (100 kg/ha) + Phosphorus (50 kg/ha)] recorded significantly higher plant height (164.67 cm), maximum number of leaves/plant (15.24), maximum plant dry weight (75.81 g), maximum stem girth (3.33 cm), higher green forage yield (47.90 t/ha), maximum moisture content (84.02 %) and maximum crude protein content (7.57 %) compare to other treatment. The maximum gross return (119750.00 INR/ha), maximum net return (83883.77 INR/ha) and highest B:C ratio (2.33) was also recorded in treatment 9 [Nitrogen (100 kg/ha) + Phosphorus (50 kg/ha)] as compared to other treatments.

An experiment was carried out in the field during rabi season 2022-23 at Crop Research Farm, Department of Agronomy, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj (U.P.). The experiment was conducted to determine the response of wheat crop to different planting methods and biofertilizer application. There were nine treatments in the experiment, each replicated thrice and it was laid out in Randomized Block Design. The results showed that System of Wheat Intensification in combination with Azotobacter and Azospirillum recorded significant and higher plant height (101.93 cm), number of tillers / hill (12.91), plant dry weight (24.53 g), number of effective tillers / hill (9.78) and number of grains / spike (58.76). Whereas, Raised bed in combination with Azotobacter and Azospirillum significantly increased Leaf area index (3.66) and Crop growth rate (17.42 g/m2/day) compared to other treatments.

A field experiment was performed at Crop Research Farm, Department of Agronomy, Naini Agriculture Institute, Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj, UP, during the Rabi season of 2022, to determine the “Effect of sulphur and foliar application of Boron on growth and yield of lentil (Lens culinaris L.)”. The experiment consists of three replications in which there were three levels of Sulphur (15, 30 and 45 kg/ ha) and three levels of boron (0.1%, 0.2% and 0.3%) and one control. Among the various treatment combinations in Treatment-9 with the application of Sulphur 45 kg/ ha along with boron 0.3% foliar spray at 35 DAS significantly recorded higher plant height (41.25 cm), maximum number of nodules/plant (25.07), maximum dry weight (16.43 g/plant), maximum number of pods/plant (118.67), maximum number of seeds/pod (2.00) in lentil crop.

During rabi season (2021-2023). The aim of this study was to determine to find out the most suitable variety of marigold in terms of growth, yield and quality under Prayagraj Agro climatic conditions and to work out the economics of different varieties of marigold. The experiment was laid out in Randomized block design (RBD) with 10 varieties and each replicated thrice. The variety Inca (m) Orange reported significantly better Performance compared to other varieties, in terms of Growth parameters like plant height (67.67 cm), Number of branches per plant (11.17), Leaf length (9.47), Plant spread (35.70) and Yield parameters like Flower yield per plant (272.08 g), Flower yield per plot (1632.50), Flower yield per ha (14.41 t).

The field experiment was carried out at central research farm of Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj during kharif season year 2022. The experiment was comprised of 9 treatments with three level of NPK and FYM in factorial randomized block design. The treatment T9 has shown the significant results when applied 100% of NPK with FYM among the different levels of treatment combinations. Soil parameters viz. % pore space (49.25%), Water holding capacity (44.99%), % Organic carbon (0.40%), Available Nitrogen (275.36 kg ha-1), Available Phosphorus (20.49 kg ha-1), Available Potassium (225.78 kg ha-1) has shown best in treatment T9 (NPK @100% + FYM @100%) of Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus L.) in comparison to other treatment combination Yield was significantly important on in T9. Okra yield can be improved by combining NPK and Farm Yard Manure.

The present investigation entitled, Evaluation of Different Dahlia (Dahlia variabilis L.) Hybrids for Better Growth and Yield of Flowers under Prayagraj Agro Climatic Conditions was under taken in the Department of Horticulture, Naini Agriculture Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj, U.P. during winter season (2022 to 2023). The experiment was laid out with nine hybrids each replicated thrice in Randomized Block Design. Among the nine hybrids, hybrid Eternity (H2) reported significantly better performance in terms of plant growth parameters like plant height (89.93 cm), number of leaves per plant (133.87), number of branches per plant (11.53), average length of branches (59.67 cm) and stem diameter (2.61 cm). Whereas in terms of Yield parameters, hybrid Chandra Vaga (H7) reported significantly better performance like number of flowers per plant (20.30), number of flowers per plot (121.80), flower yield per ha (73,08,000).

The field experiment "Influence of Biofertilizer and Zinc on Yield and Economics of Barley" was carried out during the Rabi season of 2022 at Crop Research Farm in the Department of Agronomy, Naini Agriculture Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The treatment consisted of Biofertilizers [Azotobacter, PSB and Azotobacter + PSB], Zn (20, 25 and 30 kg/ha) and control. The experiment was designed using Randomized Block Design (RBD) and reproduced three times. The soil in the experimental area was sandy loam with a pH of 8.0, 0.62% organic carbon, 225 kg/ha available nitrogen, 38.2 kg/ha available phosphorus, and 240.7 kg/ha available potassium. Azotobacter + PSB + Zn 30 kg/ha increases grain production (4.29 t/ha), straw yield (6.72 t/ha), gross return (108675 INR/ha), net return (78555 INR/ha) and B:C (2.61).
