Philosophical Meeting in the Greek Garden develops in two parts. The first one explores the idea of ὁ κῆπος presented in ancient texts from Homer to Epicurus; the second investigates its modern philosophical meaning referring to the thought of Nietzsche, Heidegger, Arendt, Deleuze, Foucault, Derrida and Desanti, which fruits in the term of “the garden of philosophy”. All philosophical problems appear in a specific situation and establish our relations to social and natural environment. Greek philosophy is usually associated to Agora, the place where the people gather together to exchange their views. In my thesis I try to put it in a different context – out of the city and its institutions, and I tend to abandon the idea of polis as a “universal pattern of being and thinking”. Yet to conceive properly Hellenistic philosophy we have focus on garden situated extra muros, where : τᾶς φύσιος δ' ὁ πλοῦτος ὅρον τινὰ βαιὸν ἐπίσχει. (The richness of nature is retained in a small enclosure. ) The idea of delimitation of garden has to be rethought, considering its ontological and epistemological mobility, which refers to the notions of… (revolutionary garden, Dasein, stay, lignes of escapes, hétérotopie, khôra, not cultivated garden) – the milestones of postmodern philosophical reflection

Based on my various involvements in the educational landscape, this thesis presents an ethnographic analysis of situated utopias, defined as counter-spaces to institutional establishments (Foucault, 2009). Designed by artists and social activists, these heterotopias offer artistic and recreational practices for children at school, in museums and outdoor public spaces. At the intersection of formal, non-formal and informal education (Brougère & Bézille, 2007), these multi-situated field in France and Denmark, by contrast, offer insights into the point of view of children and the way in which it expresses itself. Commitment to childhood in research comes through analytical methods with the different actors in the field, that is to say the children by the relationship that they maintain with a world shared with adults. In this sense, this thesis subscribes to an epistemology that defines the child as “ the author ” of his own story (Go, 2011) and children as producers of their own culture (Arleo & Delalande, 2011) within the paradigm of an Education lasting a lifetime, (Le Grand & Colin, 2008) that is based on shared experience. Through an interdisciplinary approach, we will understand childhood in relation to the society which surrounds it, and free the child from an educational relationship concerned by what may be good or bad for him, in order to enable his re-interpretation of the world (Corsaro, 1992). Between a childhood utopia and the reality of institutional constraints, children are faced with contradictory issues, inherent to a contextualised educational relationship. Nevertheless, we will see how within these paradoxical injunctions on the playground and in artistic activities, they create an escape path (Guattari, 2011), that may reveal to us a shared world

Cerebral cortical development is a finely regulated process, depending on diverse progenitor cells. Abnormal behavior of the latter can give rise to cortical malformations. Mutations in Eml1/EML1 were identified in the HeCo mouse, as well as in three families presenting severe subcortical heterotopia (SH). SH is characterized by the presence of mislocalized neurons in the white matter. At early stages of corticogenesis, abnormally positioned apical radial glia progenitors (aRG) were found cycling outside the proliferative ventricular zone (VZ) in the HeCo cortical wall. I focused my research on characterizing aRG in the VZ to assess why some cells leave this region and thus to further understand SH mechanisms. Combining confocal and electron microscopy (EM), I uncovered abnormalities of centrosomes and primary cilia in Eml1-mutant aRGs: primary cilia are shorter, and often remain basally oriented within vesicles. Searching for Eml1-interacting partners using mass spectrometry (MS), combined with exome sequencing of SH patient DNAs, allowed us to identify a ciliary Eml1-interacting partner, RPGRIP1L, showing mutations in a SH patient. Gene ontology analyses of MS data pointed to Golgi apparatus and protein transport as enriched categories. Indeed, Golgi abnormalities were identified in HeCo aRGs. Altogether, these data indicate that the Golgi-to-primary cilium axis is perturbed in Eml1mutant conditions, pointing to new intracellular pathways involved in severe neurodevelopmental disorders
