Resumo Objetivou-se avaliar o Índice de Qualidade da Dieta associado ao Guia Alimentar Digital (IQD-GAD) em comparação a outro mais utilizado e difundido na literatura, o Índice de Qualidade da Dieta Revisado (IQD-R). Estudo transversal de base populacional, com 822 idosos (≥ 60 anos) de Campinas, São Paulo. Utilizaram-se dados de um recordatório de 24 horas para efetuar os indicadores, cujas pontuações globais variam de zero a cem: quanto maior, melhor é a qualidade. Regressão linear simples e múltipla foi aplicada nas análises. O IQD-R resultou em maior pontuação global do que o IQD-GAD (62,9 vs. 47,5). No IQD-R, os escores médios foram melhores nos mais longevos e piores nos mais escolarizados e nos tabagistas. Quanto aos escores do IQD-GAD, não foram detectadas diferenças significativas em idade, escolaridade e tabagismo, mas foram maiores em segmentos de maior renda. Os componentes com piores pontuações: cereais integrais, sódio e leite (IQD-R); frutas, cereais integrais, raízes/tubérculos, leite, cereais refinados e carne vermelha/processada (IQD-GAD). Observaram-se discrepâncias nos escores globais e dos componentes dos indicadores, que refletem importantes diferenças metodológicas. Investigações dessa natureza configuram uma oportunidade de aprimorar a sensibilidade de indicadores a aspectos particulares da alimentação.

Erigée en capitale administrative de la colonie de la Côte d’Ivoire en 1893, Grand Bassam accueille de nombreux Sénégalais dont des guides religieux musulmans. El Hadj Abdoulaye Dieng est l’un des acteurs de l’islamisation de cette localité et d’autres du sud forestier de la Côte d’Ivoire entre 1894 et 1929. Quel fut son rôle dans la diffusion de l’islam à Grand Bassam et dans d’autres localités de la Basse côte? Cette étude porte sur ses actions en faveur de l’introduction de l’islam dans des localités de la Côte d’Ivoire méridionale. Les sources écrites et les sources orales ont fourni une masse importante d’informations entre autres, la position stratégique de la localité de Grand Bassam dans le commerce colonial de l’hinterland, l’installation d’El Hadj Abdoulaye Dieng à Grand Bassam et la diffusion de l’islam dans des localités du sud forestier de la Côte d’Ivoire. El Hadj Abdoulaye Dieng a donc été l’un des artisans de l’islamisation de localités du sud de la Côte d’Ivoire.

Die "Cantata per Sampieri" (Bologna 1830) wurde im September 1991 in Berlin wiederentdeckt. Einer Beschreibung der Partiturhandschrift folgt die Analyse der Besetzung, der Besonderheiten der Instrumentierung, des Textes, der Entstehungsgeschichte und der ersten Aufführung der Kantate als Geschenk zum Namenstag des Bologneser Marchese Francesco Sampieri. In der musikalischen Analyse zeigen sich die Einflüsse durch die Kantate "La riconoscenza" und die Bühnenwerke "Aureliano in Palmira" und "Le comte Ory". Die Kantate dient als Argumentationshilfe gegen die Vorstellung, daß Rossini nach dem "Guillaume Tell" nicht mehr komponiert habe. (Joerg, Guido Johannes)

O presente artigo tem por objetivo discutir a arte de aconselhamento presente no fabulário Kalila e Dimna de Abdullah Ibn Almuqaffaᶜ do séc. VIII e no manual O Príncipe de Nicolau Maquiavel do séc. XVI, ensejando evidenciar um possível diálogo entre as obras. Alguns historiadores sugerem que ambas as obras encontrariam semelhanças que sugeririam uma recepção das ideias de Kalila e Dimna por Maquiavel. Entretanto, até o momento não há trabalhos disponíveis que de fato investiguem esta relação, logo este artigo pretende discutir se tais semelhanças realmente são verificáveis, ou se as mesmas são inerentes ao gênero tratadístico que teve expressão no período califal abássida no mundo árabe-islâmico e que foi instrumentalizado no Ocidente no período medieval, vindo a compor o estilo chamado “espelho de príncipe”.
The Art of Counseling in Kalila and Dimna by Ibn Almuqaffa (8th Century) and the Prince of Machiavelli (16th Century)
The aim of this article is to discuss the art of counseling present in the fabulary Kalila and Dimna of Abdullah Ibn Almuqaffa from 8th century and in the manual The Prince of Niccolo Machiavelli of the 16th century, showing the alleged similarities between the two works, which led some editors to propose a reception of the ideas of Kalila and Dimna by Machiavelli. So far, there are no works available that actually investigate this relationship, so this article intends to analyze whether such similarities really are verifiable, or whether they are inherent to the tratadistic genre that was expressed in the Abbasid caliph period in the Arab-Islamic world and which was instrumentalized in the West in the medieval period, composing the style called "mirror of prince". Through the resources mobilized by Comparative History, we propose that it is possible to analyze both works without the risk of making our analysis anachronistic, since it is the questions we propose, not the objects of study itself, that guide our research. Here we relate the propositions of power and cunning elaborated by Machiavelli and Abdullah Ibn Almuqaffa, respectively represented by the lion and the fox, evidencing the oriental character in the "Machiavellian" morality.

Introduction: The concept of moist wound care based (moisture balance) has long been known in the world, because it has advantages such as speeding up the re-epitalisasi, retain moisture, decrease infection, the wound bed moist spending can stimulate growth factors that accelerate the wound healing process. This research aims to produce modern wound care management protocols that will run on General Hospital Langsa Cut Nyak Dien, and can be a guide to wound care by nurses in RSUCND. Method: The design used in this study was action research with one cycle. The number of participants involved were 12 people assigned to the purposive sampling method. Data collection methods are focus groups discuss, self-report (questionnaire wound care nurses' knowledge about modern and caring, nurse and patient satisfaction levels), and observation (checklist). Data collection was conducted from 26 April to 28 September 2013. Data obtained were analyzed by analysis wilcoxon. Results: Result test conducted between the pre and post show significant changes. Discussion: The recommendations can be made based on the results of this study, which has been composed POS can be run by RSUCND and this research can be continued on the next cycle. Electrospinning is a convenient method used in the preparation of ultrafine oil sorptive fibers based on Ethylene-propylene-diene (EPDM), Electrospun fiber diameter, varying in large from micrometer to nanometer, mainly depends upon the solution concentration, which has great influence on this function fiber’s sorption ability. The non-linear relation between mean fiber diameter (d) and solution concentration (C) was investigated and it follows a simple scaling law in the form . This relationship can be used to predict the target fiber diameter and guide the processing technique. The effects of various C on oil sorption ability were investigated in a batch-sorption technique. A comparison of the kinetic models, showed that the removal rate fit the first order kinetic model well, which suggested the sorption process is rapid, can reach equilibrium within a short time.

<p>Apresenta-se aqui o livro IV do tratado <em>Da dieta</em>, na forma de uma tradução inédita ao português daquele que pode ser considerado o primeiro catálogo de sonhos de que se tem registro. Acompanham a tradução algumas considerações a respeito dos capítulos que compõem o livro, ressaltando-se ali conceitos-chave para a sua leitura. A interpretação dos sonhos nesse tratado se apresenta como um método para o conhecimento do corpo. Trata-se de um mapeamento das perturbações do corpo codificadas e decodificadas em imagens a partir de uma relação micro-macrocósmica que o autor define como <em>apomímesis toû hólou</em>. A imagética do sonho contida no tratado conforma um campo semântico específico, próprio da <em>iatrikè tékhne</em>, diferenciando-se das outras <em>tékhnai</em> que do sonho se valem.</p><div class="page" title="Page 1"><div class="layoutArea"><div class="column"><p><strong>Abstract</strong></p><p><span>This paper presents an original translation into Portuguese of that which could be considered the first book of dreams: book IV of hippocratic treatise </span><span>De victu</span><span>. Following the translation, some considerations on the book composition and chapters, emphasizing some key concepts that guide the translation hereby presented. Dream interpretation on this treatise can be understood as a method of body knowledge. Body disorders are mapped, coded and decoded into images that respond to a micro-macrocosmic relation, defined by the treatise author as an </span><span>apomímesis toû hólou</span><span>. The extracts of leaves of Combretum molle were tested against the larvae of Artemia salina, i.e. Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BST) and Culexquinquefasciatus Say (filaria disease vector) i.e. Larvicidal Test, using crude ethanol, n-hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate, and methanol extracts. The methanolic extract proved to be the most effective in inducing complete lethality at minimum doses both in the BST and the Larvicidal activity test. The LC50 values obtained are 24.85 µg/ml and 0.4µg/ml respectively. The Bioactivity result was used to guide the column chromatography which afforded the pure compound ACM 2 which was not active in the BST with LC50 value of 1259 µg/ml but was active in the Larvicidal activity test with LC50 value 15.14 µg/ml. ACM 2 was proposed to be N-heptadecyl-N-(8-octa-1, 3-diene-6-ynyl)amine (C25H44N).

As one of the most promising ablative fillers, multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) have been used to improve the ablative resistance of Ethylene–Propylene–Diene Monomer (EPDM) insulators by facilitating the carbothermal reduction reaction of silica. However, the contribution of MWCNTs to char layer structure of the insulators was unclear. In this work, the effects of MWCNTs on char layer structure and ablative resistance were investigated in different EPDM-based insulators with and without silica. The results showed that adding only 3 phr MWCNTs can reduce the linear ablation rate of EPDM-based insulators without silica by 31.7%, while 6 phr MWCNTs are required to obtain similar results in EPDM-based insulators with silica. The char layer morphology of the two insulators gradually evolved into a dense porous structure as MWCNTs content increased, but their formation mechanisms were different. The XRD and Raman spectrum showed that different physicochemical reactions occurred around MWCNTs under different charring components. The proposed ablation mechanism was further verified by designing alternating multilayer distribution of MWCNTs and silica. This work can guide the construction of desirable char layer structure for increasing the ablative resistance of EPDM-based insulators.

Im vorangegangenen Beitrag in Ausgabe 2/2014 wurde die Bedeutung einer Integration von Marketing und Vertrieb für die Einführung neuer Produkte herausgestellt. So scheitern Produktinnovationen oft nicht aufgrund von Fehlern im Produktdesign oder im Markenkonzept, sondern durch suboptimale operative Markteinführung. Diese wird vom Vertrieb in erheblichem Maße beeinflusst. Daher gilt es, Marketing- und Vertriebsabteilung aufeinander abzustimmen und dem Vertrieb das nötige Rüstzeug bereitzustellen, um abstrakte Marketingkonzepte (wie Zielgruppensegmentierungen) im Alltag praktikabel umzusetzen. An einem Praxisbeispiel wird die Integration von Marktforschung und Vertrieb mit Hilfe der Six-Sigma-Methodik vorgestellt. Als Anwendungsfall dient eine Studie im Leuchtmittelmarkt. A structured Six-Sigma process is applied to align Marketing & Sales activities for the market introduction of a new product. Market research is used to establish a Management Cockpit. Measures enable customer segmentation at the PoS and guide sales personnel for targeting customers. Performance implications prove both short-term as well as long-term benefits. Recently, there has been a significant rise in the production of films on the Jasenovac camp and related Ustasha crimes, taking their share in the mnemonic politics. The paper focuses on the two most recent films, The Diary of Diana B., a docufiction filmed in Croatia, and Dara of Jasenovac, a feature film which was Serbia’s candidate for an Oscar. The memory of traumatic events is remediated in each film differently and used for representing diverse group identities through temporal relation with the difficult past. Comparison between the two films focuses on subject positions and regimes of historicity as categories that make the production of meaning mechanism visible. The main questions that guide the analysis are: how are victims and perpetrators portrayed, who is witnessing traumatic events, and to whom is the trauma attributed? Do they bring something new to the cultural memory of the Holocaust and genocide in the Independent State of Croatia?

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana kontribusi perempuan dalam meningkatkan usaha peternakan sapi potong di Kel. Datara Kec. Malakaji Kab. Gowa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan cara FGD (Focus Group Discussion) dimana dalam FGD ini dilakukan proses wawancara secara langsung terhadap perempuan yang berprofesi sebagai peternak sapi potong serta instansi dan tokoh adat daerah penelitian. Yang dimaksud wawancara adalah proses memperoleh keterangan atau informasi untuk tujuan penelitian/pengamatan dengan cara tanya jawab kepada responden dengan menggunakan alat interview guide atau panduan wawancara. Hasil yang dicapai pada penelitian ini adalah kontribusi perempuan dalam pemeliharaan mengontrol dan memberikan makanan pada ternak sebanyak dua kali sehari yakni pada pagi hari pukul 07.00 WITA dan sore hari pada pukul 16.30 WITA, hal ini mereka lakukan setiap harinya. Namun ada beberapa peternak yang memilih tidak mengandangkan ternaknya, mereka hanya melepaskan di area persawahan dengan tujuan agar ternaknya mampu memenuhi kebutuhan hijauannya. Ketidaktahuan menggunakan media elektronik seperti handpone mengurangi pengetahuan peternak tentang pemasaran ternak secara online, mereka masih memilih memasarkan secara tatap muka atau bertemu langsung dengan pembeli atau pelanggan maupun pedagang besar. kontribusi perempuan dalam budidaya ternak sapi potong yang ada di Kelurahan Datara, sangat berperan dalam pengambilan keputusan seperti halnya pembeliaan dan pemilihan bibit ternak, penjualan ternak serta pemanfaatan uang hasil penjualan ternak, dalam hal ini peran perempuan lebih mendominasi dalam pengembilan keputusan.

La introducción de alimentos precozmente en la dieta infantil es un factor de riesgo para el desarrollo de enfermedades crónicas, como la alergia a la proteína de la leche de vaca. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo: analizar las publicaciones sobre la baja prevalencia de la lactancia materna, la introducción de la leche precoz en la dieta del bebé y el desarrollo de alergias alimentarias. Se trata de una revisión integrativa de la literatura, la búsqueda fue realizada en las bases de datos Lilacs, Pubmed, Science Direct, Capes y BVS, con descriptores previamente enumerados, entre los años 2008 a 2017. Se utilizaron los criterios de inclusión: artículos en línea disponible en su totalidad y publicados en portugués, inglés y español, obteniendo una muestra de 11 artículos. Se hizo un examen crítico de cada investigación, separándolas en cuatro categorías diferentes de forma que hiciera posible el análisis y respuesta a la pregunta orientadora de este estudio. Ante lo obtenido, se identificó la necesidad de más estudios sobre el tema, a fin de orientar y / o actualizar a los profesionales de salud en el mantenimiento de la lactancia materna en lactantes con restricciones nutricionales. Breastfeeding is considered a vital resource for promoting the child’s nutritional health, with repercussions throughout life. The early food introduction to the infant diet is a risk factor for the development of chronic diseases, such as allergy to cow’s milk protein. This research aims to analyze the literature about the low prevalence of breastfeeding, the introduction of early milk in the baby’s diet and the development of food allergies. It is an integrative review of the literature. The search was performed in the databases Lilacs, Pubmed, Science Direct, Capes and VHL, with descriptors previously listed between the years 2008 to 2017. The inclusion criteria were articles online, available in full and published in Portuguese, English and Spanish, obtaining a sample of 11 articles. A critical examination of each research was made, separating them into four different categories so as to make it possible to analyze and answer the guiding question of this study. In view of this, we identified the need for further studies on the subject in order to guide and / or update health professionals in the maintenance of breastfeeding in infants with nutritional restrictions. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, a busca foi realizada nas bases de dados Lilacs, Pubmed, Science Direct, Capes e BVS, com descritores previamente elencados, entre os anos de 2008 a 2017. Foram utilizados os critérios de inclusão: artigos online, disponíveis na íntegra e publicada nos idiomas português, inglês e espanhol, obtendo uma amostra de 11 artigos. Foi feito um exame crítico de cada pesquisa, separando-as em quatro categorias diferentes de forma que tornasse possível a análise e resposta a pergunta norteadora deste estudo. In the previous issue of this journal, I commented (Fosha, 2018) on the psychotherapy case study of "Rosa," written by Nicole Vigoda Gonzalez (2018). To address Rosa’s relational trauma and major depression, Vigoda Gonzalez effectively put into clinical action the psychotherapy model I developed, called Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP). In my commentary, I discussed how AEDP’s four-state transformational phenomenology can be used to guide the therapist’s choice of interventions. I also showed how the moment-to-moment tracking of the vitality affects accompanying affective experiences is crucial to (a) the processing of core emotions to a healing conclusion, and (b) the metatherapeutic processing (or metaprocessing for short) of this healing—two core concepts in AEDP. In the current issue of the journal, Louis Sass (2019), an internationally recognized expert on phenomenology and psychopathology, has commented on my commentary, endorsing the importance of a phenomenological perspective in psychotherapy. He also raised some concerns about the use and usefulness of metaprocessing for some types of clients, especially those with the distancing defenses of derealization and depersonalization. In this article I respond to Sass’s important and very thoughtful points.

Pelaksanaan pengajaran bahasa diera seperti ini telah memanfaatkan kemajuan teknologi. Namun. pemanfaatan teknologi untuk pendidikan hanya dilakukan oleh beberapa pembelajar saja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatkan hasil belajar dalam kemampuan menulis huruf kanji sesuai dengan urutan penulisan huruf yang tepat, dan (2) mengetahui respon pembelajar terhadap penggunaan kamus digital Akebi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis huruf kanji sesuai dengan urutan penulisan huruf yang tepat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 28 pembelajar kelas XI Lintas Minat II SMA Negeri 4 Malang. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini berupa tes dan angket. Kamus digital Akebi sebagai panduan untuk menulis huruf kanji dasar menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pada hasil belajar dari pretest ke postest dengan rata-rata nilai posttest adalah 74,8. Tanggapan yang diberikan oleh pembelajar terkait penggunaan kamus digital Akebi sebagai panduan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis kanji berada pada kriteria tinggi.
The implementation of language teaching in this era has taken advantage of technological advances. However. the use of technology for education is only done by a few students. This study aims to determine the improvement of learning outcomes in the ability to write kanji in accordance with the proper letter writing sequence, and (2) determine the learner's response to the use of the Akebi digital dictionary in improving the ability to write kanji letters according to the proper letter writing sequence. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design research design. The sample used in this study was 28 students of Class XI Cross-Interest II of SMA Negeri 4 Malang. Data collection techniques in this study in the form of tests and questionnaires. Akebi's digital dictionary as a guide for writing basic kanji shows an increase in learning outcomes from pretest to posttest with an average posttest score of 74.8. The response given by the learners regarding the use of the Akebi digital dictionary as a guide to improve the ability to write kanji is at high criteria.

Este artículo presenta dos estudios cuantitativos con diseño descriptivo no experimental. El primero corresponde a una encuesta transversal cara a cara a adultos de 18 a 78 años de segmentos socioeconómicos medios y bajos (N = 250). El segundo corresponde a una encuesta longitudinal autoaplicada en adolescentes de sexo femenino de 12 a 18 años (N = 751). El propósito de ambos estudios fue explorar las asociaciones de los constructos de la teoría de la conducta planificada (TCP) en el contexto del consumo de frutas y verduras en la población chilena. Los datos se analizaron utilizando regresiones múltiples y jerárquicas. En los dos estudios se encontró que las actitudes, normas sociales y percepciones de control estaban significativamente asociadas con las intenciones. Las intenciones, en tanto, tenían una asociación transversal con la conducta. Los hallazgos de este estudio subrayan la utilidad de la TCP para guiar intervenciones para promover una alimentación saludable, en especial, la importancia de las actitudes y las percepciones de control.Palabras clave: dieta saludable; actitudes; percepciones de control conductual; auto-eficacia; promoción de la salud.Abstract Introduction: The theory of planned behavior (TPB) proposes that human behavior can be explained as a function of intentions to perform a given behavior, which in turn are determined by attitudes, normative perceptions and perceptions of control. The model has been extensively recommended and utilized to guide the design of public health communication interventions. Goals: The purpose of this work is to explore the associations of the TPB constructs in the context of fruit and vegetable consumption in the Chilean population. Methods: Two quantitative studies with a descriptive non-experimental design were conducted. The first corresponds to a face-to-face cross-sectional survey of adults 18 to 78 years of medium and low socioeconomic status (N = 250). The second corresponds to a longitudinal self-applied survey of female adolescents 12 to 18 years old (N = 751). The data were analyzed using multiple and hierarchical regressions. Results: In both studies, it was found that attitudes, norms and perceptions of control were significantly associated with intentions. Intentions, in turn, had a cross-sectional association with behavior. Conclusion: This study’s findings underscore the usefulness of the TPB to guide interventions aimed at promoting healthy eating, especially the importance of attitudes and perceptions of control for this purpose.Keywords: healthy diet; attitudes; perceived behavioral control; self-efficacy; health promotion.

Hoy en día los jóvenes son usuarios habituales de los smartphones empleándolos, prácticamente, en todos los ámbitos de su vida. Por sus cualidades y versatilidad, estos dispositivos se han convertido en excepcionales herramientas para el aprendizaje y la adopción de estilos de vida más saludables, especialmente entre los más jóvenes. Prueba de ello son las aplicaciones que están surgiendo durante los últimos años para mejorar la conducta alimentaria y la calidad de la dieta de este colectivo. Desde este marco de consideraciones, el presente estudio se propuso: (1) comprobar si una herramienta de este tipo puede hacer que la compra y el consumo de alimentos entre los jóvenes sea más saludable, e (2) identificar su percepción sobre el uso de este tipo de aplicaciones. Para el logro de dichos objetivos, se contó con la participación de 71 estudiantes del Grado en Maestro en Educación Infantil de la Universidad de Alicante, quienes utilizaron una de estas aplicaciones durante dos meses. La recogida de los datos se efectuó mediante un cuestionario elaborado ad hoc. De acuerdo con los resultados, aunque se produjo un cambio notable hacia una dieta más equilibrada, también fue posible apreciar algunas limitaciones como, por ejemplo, el dejarse llevar por el consumo de comida más apetecible a estas edades. A la vista de tales hallazgos, y con el fin de mejorar el comportamiento alimentario del alumnado universitario, se concluye que el uso de estas aplicaciones precisa de una formación adecuada que acompañe y guíe su utilización.
Abstract. Today, young people are regular users of smartphones, using them in practically all areas of their lives. Due to their qualities and versatility, these devices have become exceptional tools for learning and adopting healthier lifestyles, especially among the youngest. Proof of this are the applications that have been emerging in recent years to improve eating behavior and the quality of the diet of this group. From this framework of considerations, the present study set out to: (1) verify whether a tool of this type can make the purchase and consumption of food among young people healthier, and (2) identify their perception of the use of these types of applications. In order to achieve these objectives, 71 students of the Degree in Teacher in Early Childhood Education at the University of Alicante participated, who used one of these applications for two months. Data collection was carried out by means of an ad hoc questionnaire. According to the results, although there was a notable change towards a more balanced diet, it was also possible to appreciate some limitations, such as letting oneself be carried away by the consumption of more appetizing food at these ages. In view of these findings, and in order to improve the eating behavior of university students, it is concluded that the use of these applications requires adequate training to accompany and guide their use.

Deze bijdrage behandelt de langzame toenadering tussen de oudere katholieke priester Hugo Verriest (1840-1922) en de jongere, vrijzinnige socialist August Vermeylen (1871-1945). Verriest was een leerling van de befaamde dichter Guido Gezelle (1830-1899) en zelf leraar van de vroeg gestorven flamingantische studentenleider Albrecht Rodenbach (1856-1880). De inhuldiging van diens praalgraf op 2 september 1888 kan worden gezien als het beginpunt van een sterke mythologische stroming in de Vlaamse studentenbeweging omheen Rodenbach, maar ook als een merkwaardige poging tot samenwerking tussen katholieken en vrijzinnigen. Op de plechtigheid stonden Verriest en de notoire vrijmetselaar Emanuel Hiel (1834-1899) naast elkaar. Voortaan zou Verriest altijd opnieuw pogen een samenwerking met andersdenkenden op te zetten.Het leek de bevestiging van de verankering van de specifiek West-Vlaamse traditie – Gezelle, Verriest, Rodenbach – in de negentiende-eeuwse verhouding tussen literatuur en Vlaamse beweging. Binnen deze verhouding bewerkstelligde Prosper Van Langendonck (1862-1920) in het Brusselse literaire genootschap De Distel in 1893 de aansluiting met de jongere literatoren van het tijdschrift Van Nu en Straks, onder de leiding van August Vermeylen.Verriest kreeg de kans om in De Distel een voordracht te houden waarin hij ondubbelzinnig de weg koos van de jongeren (27 fabruari 1896) en zich grotendeels schaarde achter de nieuwe doelstellingen die Vermeylen verkondigde in zijn Kritiek der Vlaamsche Beweging. Daarmee bevestigde Verriest een samenwerkingslijn tussen ‘West-Vlaanderen’ en ‘Brussel’ en lag de weg open voor publicaties over Rodenbach in Van Nu en Straks, evenals naar een twee decennia durende pragmatische en tolerante samenwerking binnen de Vlaamse beweging tussen Verriest en Vermeylen.__________
Tolerance and pragmatic cooperation in the Flemish Movement.Hugo Verriest and August Vermeylen (1895-1914). Part 1
This contribution deals with the slow rapprochement between the older Catholic priest Hugo Verriest (1840-1922) and the younger, liberal socialist August Vermeylen (1871-1945). Verriest was a student of the famous poet Guido Gezelle (1830-1899) and in his turn had been the teacher of the Flemish radical student leader Albrecht Rodenbach who died young (1856-1880). The inauguration of Rodenbach’s mausoleum on 2 September 1888 may be seen not only as the starting point of a strong mythological tendency in the Flemish student movement around Rodenbach, but also as a notable attempt at cooperation between Catholics and liberals. During the ceremony, Verriest and the notorious freemason Emanuel Hiel (1834-1899) stood side by side. From then on, Verriest was to continue his attempts to realise cooperation with dissidents.It appeared to be the confirmation of the embedment of the specifically West Flemish tradition– Gezelle, Verriest, Rodenbach – into the nineteenth century relation between literature and the Flemish Movement. Within this relation Prosper Van Langendonck (1862-1920) realised the affiliation of the young literati of the periodical Van Nu en Straks (From Now and Later) directed by August Vermeylen to the Brussels literary society De Distel (The Thistle) in 1893.Verriest was given the opportunity to give a lecture in De Distel, in which he unambiguously chose the approach of the young (27 February 1896) and in which he mostly supported the new objectives that Vermeylen proclaimed in his Criticism of the Flemish Movement. Verriest thereby confirmed a line of cooperation between ‘West Flanders’ and ‘Brussels’ and it opened the road for publications about Rodenbach in Van Nu en Straks, as well as for a pragmatic and tolerant cooperation within the Flemish Movement between Verriest and Vermeylen which was to last two decades.

RESUMOObjetivo: analisar as dificuldades de idosos na adesão ao tratamento da Hipertensão Arterial Sistêmica. Método: estudo qualitativo, descritivo, realizado com 17 idosos hipertensos em uma Unidade Básica de Saúde. Os dados foram obtidos mediante entrevista semiestruturada e submetidos à Técnica de Análise de Conteúdo na modalidade Análise temática. Resultados: a maioria dos idosos relatou que segue as recomendações dos profissionais de saúde para o tratamento da hipertensão arterial. Evidenciou-se que o esquecimento, o medo de interações medicamentosas e a falta de apoio familiar e social interferem na adesão à terapia medicamentosa. Além disso, identificou-se que a dieta foi o cuidado não farmacológico mais aceito e que a prática de atividade física ainda precisa avançar. Conclusão: observou-se que os aspectos sociodemográficos, as alterações do estado emocional, a falta de acessibilidade e rede de apoio, a ausência de sintomatologia da hipertensão arterial e a violência urbana influenciaram a adesão à terapêutica por parte dos idosos. Espera-se que este estudo sirva de subsídio para nortear a assistência a esses pacientes, no âmbito da atenção primária, priorizando o cuidado holístico. Method: a qualitative, descriptive study with 17 hypertensive elderly patients in a Basic Health Unit. Data were obtained through a semi-structured interview and submitted to the Content Analysis Technique in the Thematic Analysis modality. Results: most of the elderly reported that they follow the recommendations of health professionals for the treatment of hypertension. It has been shown that forgetfulness, fear of drug interactions and lack of family and social support interfere with adherence to drug therapy. In addition, it was identified that the diet was the most accepted non-pharmacological care and that the practice of physical activity still needs to be advanced. Conclusion: it was observed that socio-demographic aspects, changes in emotional state, lack of accessibility and support network, absence of symptoms of hypertension and urban violence influenced the adherence to therapy by the elderly. It is hoped that this study will serve as a subsidy to guide the care of these patients in the primary care setting, prioritizing holistic care. Se evidenció que el olvido, el miedo a las interacciones medicamentosas y la falta de apoyo familiar y social interfieren en la adhesión a la terapia medicamentosa. Además, se identificó que la dieta fue el cuidado no farmacológico más aceptado y que la práctica de actividad física todavía necesita avanzar. Conclusión: se observó que los aspectos sociodemográficos, las alteraciones del estado emocional, la falta de accesibilidad y red de apoyo, la ausencia de sintomatología de la hipertensión arterial y la violencia urbana inflaron la adhesión a la terapéutica por parte de los ancianos. Se espera que este estudio sirva de subsidio para orientar la asistencia a esos pacientes, en el ámbito de la atención primaria, priorizando el cuidado holístico. Abstrak
Peran guru merupakan orang yang berprofesi sebagai pengajar dan memiliki tanggung jawab untuk memberikan ilmu pengetahuan, mengembangkan kemampuan dan membimbing peserta didik menuju kedewasaan serta membentuk moral yang baik. Peran guru juga memiliki sebuah peran penting dalam pembelajaran kepada peserta didik di lembaga TPA. TPA merupakan salah satu kegiatan pendidikan non formal yang berada ditengah-tengah masyarakat seperti mengaji. Sebagai langkah awal mengaji Iqro peserta didik harus mengenal huruf-huruf hijaiyyah. Peserta didik mengaji menggunakan buku Iqro karena Iqro dalam prakteknya tidak menggunakan alat yang maca-macam, Iqro lebih menekankan pada bacaan langsung yang tanpa dieja kembali. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui meningkatnya kemampuan membaca Iqro dalam mengaji di TPA Mina Sawangan Depok. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif study kasus, dilakukan di TPA Mina Sawangan Depok sejak April sampai Juni 2022. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran guru mengaji dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Iqro dilakukan dalam proses pelaksanaan dengan penerapan metode dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Iqro, guru melaksanakan pembelajaran Iqro sambil bernyanyi dan mengadakan evaluasi membaca Iqro.
Abstract
The role of the teacher is a person who works as a teacher and has the responsibility to provide knowledge, develop abilities and guide students towards maturity and form good morals. The role of the teacher also has an important role in learning to students in TPA institutions. TPA is one of the non-formal education activities that are in the midst of society such as reciting the Al-Quran. As a first step in reciting Iqro, students must know the hijaiyyah letters. Students recite the Al-Quran using the Iqro book because Iqro in practice does not use various tools, Iqro emphasizes direct reading without being re-spelled. This study aims to determine the increase in Iqro's reading ability in the Al-Quran at TPA Mina Sawangan Depok. The method used is a qualitative case study approach, carried out at the Mina Sawangan TPA Depok from April to June 2022. The results show that the role of the Al-Quran teacher in improving Iqro reading skills is carried out in the implementation process by applying methods to improve Iqro reading skills, the teacher carries out Iqro learning while singing and conducting an Iqro reading evaluation.

<p>A Insuficiência Renal Crônica (IRC) é uma doença crônica, progressiva, debilitante, que causa incapacidades e que apresenta alta taxa de mortalidade, sendo que a incidência e prevalência têm aumentado ainda mais na população mundial, relacionada a histórico familiar, sedentarismo, dieta com alto teor de sódio, assim como taxas alteradas de ureia e creatinina, bem como outros fatores que se relacionam com a história clínica e individual. O número de pacientes em tratamento hemodialítico vem aumentando gradualmente ao longo dos anos, sendo a hemodiálise o tratamento mais comum, os pacientes vivenciam mudanças bruscas na sua vida influenciando de forma considerável na qualidade de vida do portador de IRC. O presente trabalho tem como objetivo avaliar a repercussão do tratamento hemodialítico na vida dos pacientes com Insuficiência Renal Crônica. A pesquisa foi realizada no Centro de Hemodiálise do Hospital Regional de Cajazeiras. Os dados foram coletados após a aprovação do CEP, sob o protocolo nº1.515.907. Para a coleta de dados foi utilizado um roteiro de entrevista semiestruturado contendo informações a respeito de fatores sócios demográficos, bem como questões pertinentes ao tratamento hemodialítico. Os dados qualitativos foram organizados conforme a técnica e análise de dados de LEFEVRE; LEFEVRE e analisados mediante leitura pertinente. A pesquisa seguiu a Resolução 466/12 do Conselho Nacional de Saúde que trata de pesquisas desenvolvidas com seres humanos. A hemodiálise repercute de forma significativa na vida do portador de DRC, influenciando de várias maneiras desde aspectos clínicos, como social, financeiro e emocional.</p><p><strong><em>Impact of hemodialysis in the lives of patients with chronic renal failure in Paraiba Hinterland</em></strong></p><p><strong>Abstract </strong>Chronic Renal Failure (CRF) is a chronic, progressive, debilitating disease which causes disabilities and has a high mortality rate, and the incidence and prevalence have increased even more in the world population, related to family background, physical inactivity, diet high sodium content, as well as altered rates of urea and creatinine and other factors that are related to clinical and personal history. The number of patients in hemodialytic treatment has been increasing gradually over the years, in which hemodialysis is the most common treatment. Patients experience sudden changes in their lives influencing considerably in the quality of life of the IRC carrier. To assess the repercussion of hemodialytic treatment in the lives of patients with Chronic Renal Failure. The research was conducted in the Hemodialysis Center at Regional Hospital of Cajazeiras. For the data collection a semi-structured interview guide was used, containing information about social and economic factors, as well as issues related to hemodialytic treatment. The qualitative data were organized according to the technique and data analysis of LEFEVRE; LEFEVRE and analyzed through relevant reading. The research followed the Resolution 466/12 of the National Health Council, which deals with researches conducted on human subjects. A better understanding and characterization of the factors related to the repercussion of the hemodialytic treatment in the lives of the patients affected by Chronic Renal Failure.</p>

Na de wapenstilstand van november 1918 wilde het bestuur de leden zo vlug mogelijk weer samenroepen. Meegezogen door de patriottische wind die over het pas bevrijde vaderland raasde, wilden de voorzitter en de secretaris vooraf de Academie uitzuiveren en de leden die zich tijdens de oorlog manifest met de bezetter hadden gecompromitteerd, uitzetten. Zo stond ook het lidmaatschap van Eugeen Van Oye, ex-(ere)voorzitter van de activistische Jong-Vlaamse beweging, ter discussie. Eugeen besefte maar al te goed dat zijn positie wankelde en via zijn collega en vroegere schoolkameraad Hugo Verriest probeerde hij te weten te komen welke stemming er heerste in de Academie. Tussen de twee ontspon zich een volgehouden correspondentie van januari 1919 tot juni 1920, deels bewaard in het archief van de UGent. De eerste maanden kon Verriest zijn vriend hoop geven want heel wat academici bleken hem vooralsnog gunstig gezind. Dat veranderde plots eind mei 1919 toen een brief uit 1916 opdook, medeondertekend door Van Oye en waarin de pas aangestelde professoren van de vervlaamste Gentse Hogeschool werden gelukgewenst. Close friends in a destitute time. The postwar correspondence between Eugeen Van Oye and Hugo Verriest
The Vlaamse Academie voor Taal en Letterkunde [Flemish Academy for Language and Linguistics] had its last meeting on August 5, 1914, after the First World War had already commenced. During the war, activities had ceased to take place, prompting the board to reconvene its members as quickly as possible following the Armistice. Enthralled by the patriotic spirit that had engulfed the country after the war, the Academy’s president and secretary wanted to expunge the society before the meeting, and expel members that had openly collaborated with the German occupier during the war. One of these members that was being discussed was Eugeen Van Oye, the former (honorary) president of the activist Young Flemish Movement. Eugeen fully understood the precarity of his position, and tried to gather more information on the general mood at the Academy via his colleague and old classmate, Hugo Verriest. An ardent correspondence between the two occurred – which has partly been preserved in the archive of Ghent University – from January 1919 until June 1920. Verriest could convey encouraging signals to his friend during those first months, as it appeared that a number of academics still held him in high regard. This however would suddenly change at the end of May 1919, when a letter (co-signed by Van Oye) from 1916 emerged that congratulated the recently appointed professors at the Dutchified University of Ghent. The fact that the letter concluded by wishing for the revival of Flanders, and having it contribute to the prosperity of Great-Germania, would prove to be the final straw. Van Oye though insisted that he had mindlessly put down his signature because he trusted Jan Derk Domela and Emiel Dumon. Verriest would give Van Oye the benefit of the doubt, and continued to show support for his friend at the Academy, even though he failed to convince his colleagues. Van Oye was expelled in July 1919, and had to appear before the court of assizes in Bruges, almost a year later, in June 1920, because of his activist conduct. Verriest, physically weakened at this point, would once again come to Eugeen’s aid. As a témoin de moralité [witness of morality], Verriest did succeed to convince the jury, resulting in Eugeen leaving the court as a free man. The two friend would meet again one last time in September 1921, when their ‘mentor’ Guido Gezelle was honoured at the Seminary in Roeselare. After Verriest’s death in October 1922, Stijn Streuvels had expressed hope that, in accordance with Verriest’s wish, Van Oye would be allowed to write Verriest’s in memoriam for the Academy, but this proved unfeasible, as the schism between the Academy and Van Oye still existed. Van Oye however would write an in memoriam, but this would ultimately be published by the ‘Algemene Katholieke Vlaamsche Hogeschooluitbreiding’ [General Catholic Flemish Expansion of Higher Education].

Abstract Multiple antibodies blocking PD-1 or PD-L1 have been approved for clinical use. However, not all patients successfully respond to monotherapy and the need for combinations has become more apparent. CTX-8371 combines PD-1/PD-L1 targeting in one bispecific, tetravalent molecule. CTX-8371 potently blocks PD-1/PD-L1 in vitro and in vivo. This robust activity may be explained by the unique mechanism of action (MOA) of CTX-8371 which involves cell surface PD-1 cleavage. Here we present further in vivo evidence of PD-1 cleavage by CTX-8371 detected during a dose range finding (DRF) study in cynomolgus macaques. Results of this study as well as in vitro receptor occupancy (RO) and the PK/PD profile of CTX-8371 in tumor-bearing mice are described. CTX-8371 was administered to female cynomolgus monkeys (n=3/group) in a single intravenous infusion at 2 mg/kg or weekly infusions at 10 or 50 mg/kg, for a total of 2 doses. PBMCs were isolated before, 24 hours after the first dose, or 24 hours after the second dose (for 10 and 50 mg/kg groups). Immunophenotyping, including PD-1 and PD-L1, was performed on PBMCs by flow cytometry. Mean serum concentration-time data was analyzed to derive PK parameters using noncompartmental and two-compartment models. PK was also determined in tumor-bearing mice using an MSD ELISA-based assay and non-compartmental analysis. In monkeys, CTX-8371 administration resulted in a marked decrease of PD-1+CD4+ and PD-1+CD8+ T cells in PBMCs on days 2 and 9 at all dose levels, indicating PD-1 cleavage from the cell surface. These results confirm in vitro, and in vivo MOA data obtained from mouse studies. Clearance and half-life of CTX-8371 were calculated to be ~6.87 mL/day/kg and 5.45 days, respectively, which fall within the expected ranges for a human IgG1 antibody in non-human primates (NHP) with linear PK. CTX-8371 infusion was well tolerated in cynomolgus monkeys. In tumor-bearing mice, the dose which results in 50% of maximum tumor growth inhibition was found to be 1-2 mg/kg. The minimum effective dose, at which at least 50% of animals exhibit greater than 50% tumor growth inhibition over two consecutive days, was 1mg/kg. It was observed that 11% (1/9), 78% (7/9) and 100% (9/9) of mice in 0.1 mg/kg, 1 mg/kg and 10 mg/kg dose groups, respectively, meet the above criteria. CTX-8371 also showed dose-dependent in vitro RO on T cells from peripheral blood of human, cynomolgus monkey, and transgenic hPD-1hPD-L1 mice. Data presented here confirm the unique MOA of CTX-8371, cleavage of PD-1 from the cell surface. The dual blockade of PD-1 and PD-L1, combined with PD-1 cleavage, may offer superior benefit compared to current checkpoint inhibitor therapies. Abstract Background: Over 14,000 cervical cancers are diagnosed annually in the U.S. In 2019, ~30% of individuals with a cervix were under-screened based on current guidelines. Previous studies established feasibility of mailed self-sampling high-risk HPV test kits to improve screening adherence. Qualitative findings from our HOME trial found unmet information needs and anxiety among patients with a positive kit result. We designed the STEP trial to test optimized implementation strategies for educating patients about screening when offering the kit to patients due/overdue for screening, and when reporting results. Purpose: To evaluate acceptability of the implementation strategies, we interviewed individuals after receiving a positive kit result about the result communication processes and their information needs. Methods: The STEP trial added a centralized licensed practical nurse to communicate about and arrange scheduling for all patients with positive kit results, and provided an educational pamphlet to explain the purpose of HPV testing (especially difference to Pap testing) and how latent infections can reactivate. Telephone interviews were conducted from December 2021 to March 2022 with 29 patients (56% of invited) who had a positive kit result. Interview guide asked about reaction to the kit, results communication, patient-provider interactions, and follow-up visit experiences; and included a survey regarding attitudes toward the kit. Five coders analyzed interview transcripts using iterative content analysis; 12 transcripts were double-coded. Codes were organized into node reports to identify overarching themes. Results: Of 29 participants, most (65.5%) were non-Hispanic White and the average age was 47.5 years (SD=11.2). Participants appreciated the convenience of the kit, though a few worried about the accuracy of self-sampling test results, especially compared to screening performed by a provider. While surprised by the positive kit result, all reported feeling reassured after talking with the nurse and understood next steps in the diagnosis and management process, although some reported still wanting to check with their primary care provider about the test findings. Though an educational pamphlet was provided with the home HPV kit, most participants did not recall receiving it or using it to understand their kit results. After reflecting on home kit versus in-clinic screening, most (69%) preferred using the kit on their own to provider-collected screening. All (100%) agreed that the kit instructions were easy to understand, however 90% were sure that they had sampled the right place, and 86% believed that the home test results were correct. Discussion: Unlike the prior HOME trial, there was less negative affect expressed by patients after receiving results. This suggests patients received the information needed to continue with the screening process and supports the value of a centralized nurse. Abstract Introduction A minority of women with breast cancer in Mexico are diagnosed through a screening program with a low rate of national coverage of about 20%, which translates into late diagnosis and worse outcomes. The detection of high-risk groups through easy-access interventions is essential to increase the screening rate. OBJECTIVE To identify and analyze patients at high risk of breast cancer, through a web app specially designed for this purpose. MATERIAL AND METHODS The web app stratified respondents according to breast cancer risk into 4 categories: very high risk (symptomatic), high lifetime risk, average risk (usual screening recommendations), or low risk. The app was programmed to guide patients to a risk-based information page or urge them to seek medical advice if indicated (https://cuccuanl.com/tamiz_mama/). The web app also provided the contact information of our center, or an appointment could also be scheduled within the app. Distribution was made via social media. An upgrade of the app was launched, which expanded the functionality with the inclusion of the Gail model to identify women with a high lifetime risk for developing breast cancer and the option for a simple interpretation of mammographic results. In version 2.0, the patients were divided into 2 populations, the first one which already had a breast imaging test but wished to know what the BIRADS score obtained meant and the other group were those who answered a simple survey similar to the one available on version 1.0, with added questions to calculate the Gail model risk. RESULTS The web app was originally released in October 2021 with a total number of 1,012 women answering the survey. The update was released in June 2022 with 406 new subjects. 281 patients wished for a risk calculation with no prior breast imaging tests and 124 patients already had a breast image diagnosis test that wanted a simple interpretation. Table1 depicts the answers given between both versions. Among the group of patients that had a mammography but had doubts about the result 12.9% (n=16) reported a BIRADS 0, 12.1% (n=15) BIRADS 1, 46% (n=57) BIRADS 2, 14.5% (n=18) BIRADS 3, and 14.4% (n=18) BIRADS 4 or 5. To date 41 patients have booked an appointment at the cancer prevention clinic directly within the webapp for further evaluation. DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION The changes in the criteria of high risk did not translate into changes in the proportion of patients considered at high lifetime risk of breast cancer, but these changes made might be more specific for subsequent screening and chemoprevention strategies. The app persisted with a high proportion of symptomatic patients. The results of integration of the simple mammography interpretation were surprising, with a high proportion of subjects with indication for a biopsy founded. In the Mexican population there is a significant gap between the screening mammography and the first consultation with a specialist, averaging 113 days from an abnormal screening test to a diagnosis of breast cancer (1), which delays treatment initiation resulting on a worst outcome. These kinds of apps may empower patients to seek earlier consultation if warranted or educate patients on their personal risk for developing cancer so they may have a closer adherence to early detection programs. Abstract Introduction The aim of the study was to prove efficacy and safety of de-escalation of traditional breast surgery in BC patients who develop cCR after neoadjuvant systemic therapy. Refusal of surgery was offered to exceptional responders after vacuum-assisted tumor bed biopsy and sentinel lymph node biopsy confirmed absence of residual disease (pCR). Materials and methods A single-center prospective study was run in the NMRC n.a. N.N. Petrov. Starting from August of 2020, 35 patients with early сT1-2N0-1M0 (stage Ia-IIb) triple-negative and HER2-positive (both ER+ and ER-) unifocal tumours without DCIS in core-biopsy specimen enrolled in the study. Primary lesions were marked with a single clip in the centre. In cases with nodal involvement (cN1) the affected lymph nodes were also clipped. Patients with triple-negative breast cancer received 4 cycles of AC q21d followed by 12 cycles of weekly paclitaxel and carboplatin AUC 2.0. HER2-positive patients received 4 cycles of AC followed by 4 cycles of docetaxel combined with trastuzumab and pertuzumab q21d. Breast US, mammography and SPECT were used at baseline and at response evaluation. Vacuum-assisted biopsy was performed with 7G needle and US-guidance in the OR simultaneously with the SLNB. VAB protocol included retrieval of the tumor clip as first stage. Subsequently surrounding tissues were sampled, and markers were placed to guide radiotherapy. In case residual tumor was found patients received standard breast-conserving surgery. In case the sentinel lymph nodes were found to be positive, standard level II axillary clearance was performed. HER2-positive patients with pCR confirmed by VAB and SLNB received adjuvant trastuzumab up to one year. HER2-positive patients with residual breast or nodal involvement received trastuzumab emtansine up to one year. In case ER+, all patients received appropriate endocrine-therapy. In case of residual in-breast or nodal involvement patients with triple-negative breast cancer received standart capecitabine. Results The interim analysis included 25 patients in both groups. The median follow-up of disease-free survival for patients is 12 months. In the triple-negative group 12 patients achieved cCR. All patients went on to receive VAB and SLNB. After VAB and SLNB pCR was confirmed 11 patients (91.7%). 1 patient had invasive residual tumor with less than 5% cellularity. FNR in this group was 8.3% (1/12). Patient with invasive residual tumor received standard breast-conserving surgery. All the patients in the TNBC group were also found to be (sn)ypN0. In the HER2-positive group cCR was achieved 13 patients. All patients went on to receive VAB and SLNB. After VAB and SLNB pCR was confirmed 10 patients (77%). 3 patients had invasive residual tumor with less than 5% cellularity. FNR in this group was 23% (3/13). Patients with invasive residual tumor received standard breast-conserving surgery. All HER2-positive patients were found to be (sn)ypN0. One patient with HER2-positive subtype experienced a local reccurence in the postoperative zone 16 months after surgery. Initially, this patient achieved cCR and undergone VAB with SLNB. On final pathomorphologic examination isolated focuses of DCIS were found (ypTisN0). Standard breast-conserving surgery was performed and histologically only DCIS was found. This patient recieved 1-year of Trastuzumab and standard radiotherapy with boost. After the histologic confirmation of local reccurence patient underwent nipple-sparring mastectomy with reconstruction and nowadays she is recieveing therapy with trastuzumab emtansine (T-DM1). Conclusion All visualization modalities fail to provide reliable information on the true rate of pCR. Contemporary systemic therapy regimens after accurate selection of patients, following the inclusion criteria, allows to achieve pCR in 75-90%, thereby reducing the risk of FNR after VAB. The trial continues to enroll patients and further follow-up is needed.
