A nonempty set R is said to be a ring if we can dene two binary operationsin R, denoted by + and respectively, such that for all a; b; c 2 R, R is an Abelian groupunder addition, closed under multiplication, and satisfy the associative law under multi-plication and distributive law. Let R be a ring. R is an Artin ring if every nonempty setof ideals has the minimal element. In this paper, the Artin ring and some characteristicsof it will be discussed.

AbstractLetGandTbe topological groups, α :T→ Aut(G) a homomorphism defining a continuous action ofTonGandG♯:=G⋊αTthe corresponding semidirect product group. In this paper, we address several issues concerning irreducible continuous unitary representations (π♯,${\mathcal{H}}$) ofG♯whose restriction toGremains irreducible. First, we prove that, forT=${\mathbb R}$, this is the case for any irreducible positive energy representation ofG♯, i.e. for which the one-parameter groupUt:= π♯(1,t) has non-negative spectrum. The passage from irreducible unitary representations ofGto representations ofG♯requires that certain projective unitary representations are continuous. To facilitate this verification, we derive various effective criteria for the continuity of projective unitary representations. Based on results of Borchers forW*-dynamical systems, we also derive a characterization of the continuous positive definite functions onGthat extend toG♯.

Propolis, the resinous hive product by bees, is important in the defence of the hive. It is know that extract of propolisexhibits such pharmacological activities as antimicrobia,antiviral, antifungal, anti-inflamatory, immunostimulatoryand promote wound healing. The objective of this studywas to investigate the influence of the propolis on theformation of collagen in the wound healing process of thesubcutan injury of mice that were induced withActinobacillus actinomyctemcomitans (A.actinomyctemcomitans)Thisstudyapplied 24 female BALB/c mice of 2 - 3 monthsof age with the weight of 20 -30 grams. On the first day thewhole population were injected withA.actinomyctemcomitans subcutanly. The second day micewere randomly devided into two groups that was the groupwith special treatment and the controlled ones. The groupunder treatment were given the extract of propolis 100mg/kg body weight every day. While the controlled oneswere only given aquades.Histological observation was conducted upon each groupon the third, seventh and fourteenth days after A.actinomyctemcomitans injection. There-suits of theobservation was based on the density collagen fiber. Thedata obtained then analyzed by using Mann-Whitney U test.The results of the present study indicated that theadministration of 100 mg/kg BWpropolis peroral maystimulate collagen synthesis.

Meetings are very important in any organisation and the Australian public service is no exception. Unfortunately, meetings are costly and time consuming, and often are ineffective and inefficient. Participants are regularly left with feelings of dissatisfaction after the meeting. Electronic meeting systems (EMS) were first developed in the United States in the 1980s to make meetings more effective and efficient. They are now more user-friendly, internet-connected and support multimedia. However, EMS have not been adopted to the extent that could be expected. This study draws from an extensive literature review supplemented by three case studies of Australian companies that provide EMS products and services (Global Learning Pty Ltd, Grouputer Pty Ltd and Zing Technologies Pty Ltd). The study provides answers to six questions: • What are electronic meeting systems (EMS)? • What is the evidence that using an EMS does improve meeting productivity (efficiency and effectiveness) and satisfaction? • Are there other benefits from using these systems? • How does the use of an EMS bring about these improvements in meetings and group collaboration? • What factors need to be managed in order for the organisation to obtain the most benefit from these systems? • Could EMS be used to improve meetings and business processes in Australian (including state/territory) government organisations? The study concluded that EMS could be used to great benefit to improve meetings and their outcomes for an enormous range of tasks that are carried out in all levels in the Australian public sector. EMS have successfully supported meeting sizes from two people to 700, and an even larger number of participants is possible.
