Повний текст джерелаWe study the windings of the planar Brownian motion around points, following the previous works of Wendelin Werner in particular. In the first chapter, we motivate this study by the one of smoother curves. We prove in particular a Green formula for Young integration, without simplicity assumption for the curve. In the second chapter, we study the area of the set of points around which the Brownian motion winds at least N times. We give an asymptotic estimation for this area, up to the second order, both in the almost sure sense and in the Lp spaces, when N goes to infinity.The third chapter is devoted to the proof of a result which shows that the points with large winding are distributed in a very balanced way along the trajectory. In the fourth chapter, we use the results from the two previous chapters to give a new Green formula for the Brownian motion. We also study the averaged winding around randomly distributed points in the plan. We show that, almost surely for the trajectory, this averaged winding converges in distribution, not toward a constant (which would be the Lévy area), but toward a Cauchy distribution centered at the Lévy area. In the last two chapters, we apply the ideas from the previous chapters to define and study the Lévy area of the Brownian motion, when the underlying area measure is not the Lebesgue measure anymore, but instead a random and highly irregular measure. We deal with the case of the Gaussian multiplicative chaos in particular, but the tools can be used in a much more general framework

Повний текст джерелаThe heat equation is known to be a macroscopic phenomenon, emerging after a diffusive rescaling of space and time. In linear systems of interacting oscillators, the energy ballistically disperses and the thermal conductivity is infinite. Since the Fourier law is not valid for linear interactions, non-linearities in the microscopic dynamics are needed. In order to bring ergodicity to the system, we superpose a stochastic energy conserving perturbation to the underlying deterministic dynamics.In the first part we study the Hamiltonian dynamics of linear coupled oscillators, which are perturbed by a degenerate conservative stochastic noise. The latter flips the sign of the velocities at random times. The evolution yields two conservation laws (the energy and the length of the chain), and the macroscopic behavior is given by a non-linear parabolic system.Then, we suppose the harmonic oscillators to evolve in a random environment, in addition to be stochastically perturbed. The noise is very degenerate, and we prove a macroscopic behavior that holds at equilibrium: precisely, energy fluctuations at equilibrium evolve according to an infinite dimensional Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process driven by the linearized heat equation.Finally, anomalous behaviors have been observed for one-dimensional systems which preserve momentum in addition to the energy. In the third part, we consider two different perturbations, the first one preserving the momentum, and the second one destroying that new conservation law. When the intensity of the second noise is decreasing, we observe (in a suitable time scale) a phase transition between a regime of normal diffusion and a regime of super-diffusion

Повний текст джерелаThe potencial of parasitism and the efficiency of Encarsia formosa on Bemisia tabaci were evaluated on collard green, tomato and soybean plants. The period of developmentof B. tabaci biotype B from egg to adult and the number of nymphs were evaluated on those plants. The ability of parasitism was evaluated by the number of daily parasitized nymphs and the total number of parasitized nymphs per female of E. formosa. The ideal number of parasitoids per plant was evaluated by releasing variable numbers of E. formosa on a fixed number of B. tabaci biotype B nymphs. The results were as follows: the duration of the egg to adult period of B. tabaci biotype B on tomato (22,03 days) was statistically superior to that on soybean (21,17 days), while this last one was significantly superior to that on collard green (19,8 days), under the same environmental conditions; the parasitoid showed preference to oviposit on the third and fourth instars of B. tabaci biotype B nymphs; the number of parasitized nymphs on collard green was higher than those observed on soybean and tomato, whereas the numbers on these last one did not differ; no difference was observed as to the parasitoid longevity when third and fourth instar nymphs were offered on the tested plants; however one observe a significant difference in the mean number of parasitized nymphs; on collard green plants eight parasitoids per plant resulted in a good control of this insect pest.

Resumo: O potencial subutilizado de muitas áreas verdes urbanas e a maneira desinteressante como a Botânica é geralmente tratada em sala de aula foram algumas das questões que motivaram a realização deste trabalho. Seus objetivos centrais foram: (1) fornecer subsídios para o estabelecimento de uma relação mais próxima entre a flora de uma área urbana e seus freqüentadores atuais e potenciais e (2) realizar uma experiência de utilização dessa área, inserindo a dimensão não formal no contexto do ensino formal, numa tentativa de tornar o aprendizado de Botânica mais prazeroso. Foi realizado o levantamento das espécies herbáceas, arbustivas e arbóreas que ocorrem em cinco subáreas da área de estudo ¿ o Parque Taquaral.Foram encontradas 169 espécies; dentre as 157 identificadas até o nível de espécie, 94 são nativas, 62 exóticas e uma híbrido artificial. As informações reunidas acerca das subáreas revelaram que cada uma delas possui, comparativamente, certas características que favoreceriam a realização de atividades ¿ alto número total de espécies, grande quantidade de espécies de pequeno porte, alta concentração de espécies em uma pequena área. Chaves de identificação (uma geral e uma para cada subárea) foram confeccionadas procurando-se utilizar uma linguagem acessível a um público não acadêmico, de forma a poderem ser utilizadas por usuários do Parque ou por planejadores de atividades. A subárea que apresentou maior número de espécies (71) foi utilizada para a realização de uma experiência de ensino de Botânica A atividade de ensino foi realizada junto a duas turmas de 6a série eplanejada em conjunto a com a Professora de Ciências dos mesmos. Princípios da pesquisa-ação embasaram esse processo, no qual se procurou utilizar uma abordagem construtivista. As aulas em sala foram ministradas pela Professora de Ciências, durante as quais as informações foram coletadas por esta autora através de diário de campo e um meio-termo entre observação participante / não participante. A atividade no Parque foi conduzida por esta autora; teve tanto registro fonográfico quanto por escrito por auxiliares de campo. Questionários foram aplicados antes e depois do conjunto de aulas teóricas e atividade de campo. Acertos e desafios se mostraram na análise dessas atividades. Ao mesmo tempo que a participação dos alunos foi estimulada e efetivamente detectada no Parque ¿ na forma de uma ampla gama de comentários, perguntas e atitudes ¿, pôde-se perceber a necessidade de meios que estimulem a concentração da atenção nos temas principais da atividade; apesar da tentativa de abordar conceitos de forma integrada, a fragmentação não foi totalmente superada nessas abordagens. Espera-se que novas experiências venham adaptar, aperfeiçoar e enriquecer a proposta oferecida por este trabalho
Abstract: The underexplored potencial of many green urban areas and the uninteresting way in which Botany is usually teached inside classroom were some of the issues that motivated the accomplishment of this research. Its main objectives were: (1) offer subsidies for the establishment of a closer relationship between the flora of an urban area and its present and potential users and (2) make a experience of utilization of that area, bringing the informal dimension into the context of the formal teaching, in order to try to make the learning process of Botany more pleasant. The survey of the herbaceous, shrub and tree species that occur in five subareas of the study area ¿ the Parque Taquaral ¿ was accomplished. 169 species were found; among the 157 identified until the species level, 94 are native, 62 are exotics and one is an artificial hybrid. The information gathered about the subareas revealed that each of them have, comparatively, certain characteristics that favour the accomplishment of activities ¿ high total number of species, high quantity of small-sized species, high concentration of species in a small area. Identification keys (a general one and one for each subarea) were made, trying to use a language accessible to a non-academic public in a way that they can be used by the Parque users or by activity-planners. The subarea that presented the highest number of species (71) was used for an experience of Botany teaching. The teaching activity was accomplished with two 6th grade classes and planned with their Science teacher. Action-research principles based this process, during which a constructivist approach was tried. The lectures in classroom were given by the Science teacher and the data was collected by the present author by means of participant and non-participant observation and field diary. The activity in the Parque was leaded by the present author; it was tape-recorded and also registered in written form by field assistants. Success and challenges emerged during the analysis of these activities. The participation was stimulated and effectively detected in the Parque ¿ in the form of a vast variety of comments, questions and attitudes ¿, but the need of strategies that stimulate the concentration of the students in the main activities themes could also be noticed; despite it was tried to approach concepts in an integrated way, the fragmentation was not completely overcome in these approaches. It is expected that new experiences adapt, improve and enrich the proposal offered by this research

Повний текст джерелаResistive non-volatile memories based on oxides (OxRAM) are recently acquiring a wide interest for their performances, which make them promising candidates as storage memories to replace flash technology, and as embedded memories for neural network applications. Nevertheless, emerging OxRAM devices still present some drawbacks, like non-uniformity of switching parameters and switching failures. Overcoming these drawbacks requires a deeper comprehension of the OxRAM working principles, so far not completely understood. This can be achieved by means of textit{ab initio} simulations. Hence this work presents a careful characterization of HfO₂, which is within the most promising materials to build OxRAM devices, by means of accurate quasi-particle (QP) calculations. A study of the electronic transport properties in OxRAM devices is also of primary importance. However, this requires a robust and reliable theoretical framework to compute the conductance of bulk metal/insulator junctions. The standard approach, based on density functional theory, Green function formalism, and Landauer formula, has some limitations and reliability issues. This work proposes a more reliable approach based on QP calculations, which provide a more accurate electronic structure to compute the conductance, and largely tests this new method on different junctions mimicking OxRAM devices

Повний текст джерелаContext As air traffic continues to increase, new aircraft trajectory plannification methods need to be implemented. Navigation functions have been implemented to this end, but their reliability in an uncertain environment is yet to be demonstrated. Aims Implementing new tools based on the Hadamard variational formula to take into account the uncertainties on the longitudinal position of aircraft when computing the navigation function. Methods The Hadamard variation makes it possible to assess the effect of a domain boundary variation on the trajectories computed using harmonic navigation functions. Using this variational formula requires the developpment of an efficient method to numerically compute the Green's function. Results We demonstrate in this thesis that it is possible to numerically determine the Green's function and its derivatives with a semi-analytical method. Furthermore, the Green's function determined in this manner can be used to compute the Hadamard variational formula. Conclusions This semi-analytical Green's function can be used to compute the Hadamard variational formula and makes it possible to account for uncertainties on the position of obstacles. We also give some leads on how to improve this method based on the Hadamard variational formula, most notably on how to reduce computation time and improve accuracy

Повний текст джерелаThe principal objective of this thesis is to generalize multiple zeta values to the case when the ground field Q is replaced by an arbitrary number field. The motivation behind the construction comes from the work of A. Goncharov on Hodge correlators and the plectic philosophy of J. Nekovar and A. Scholl. We start by constructing the higher plectic Green functions. Hecke once proved that the integral of the restriction of a suitable Eisenstein series over $\mathbb{Q}$ to the idele class group of a given number field multipled an idele class character of finite order is equal to the L-function of this charator. By replacing Eisenstein seris with our higher plectic Green functions, a similar integration gives new results, which give the generalization of classical multiple zeta values and multiple polyloarithms. According to the plectic principle, a non-trivial subgroup of the ring of integers of a given number field plays an essential role in this work

Повний текст джерелаEnvironmental problems are founded in a crisis of values, where the incorporation of environmental attitudes is an urgent need. In this sense the educational processes are essential to boost the transformations necessary to the survival of society and these processes can occur both in formal education and in non-formal education. No need to bring knowledge and raise awareness among young people about the importance of environmental issues, helping to develop a critical attitude before the socio-environmental crisis. The Educommunication that has as one of its commitments participative content production, is presented as a possible tool for the realization of social and environmental interventions.This survey was conducted with 52 people aged between 14 and 17 years during their period of school hours in the Institute of Social Assistance located in the city of Curitiba, Parana state. The research objective aimed to develop, implement and evaluate methods of education, using tools of environmental educational and communication. Such activity was focused on promoting information and awareness related to the impact of solid waste on water bodies. It was developed from a mixed approach (quantitative and qualitative), the methodological principles of action research through an initial diagnosis of environmental perception, level of knowledge and attitudes related to the subject. The analysis of such results was utilized for planning and preparation of activities with a logical construction of knowledge. The interventions addressed theories and practices known as “Oficinas”. This strategy used proper procedures that consisted of lectures, discussions, field activities, radio programs, photographs and footage, events and the creation of pages on social networking to achieve the aimed results. All textual and audiovisual material produced served as subsidies for production of environmental educational communication with the objective of instilling environmental awareness on young pelople and society about pollution of rivers by solid residues. The information and knowledge gained during the research has supported the compilation of knowledge on the effects of human interference in aquatic systems as well as on raising awareness of sustainable attitudes. Thus, the whole process has enabled the dialogue, participation, expression, creativity and reasoning of the subjects involved in the research.

Повний текст джерелаUm dos maiores problemas ambientais da população brasileira é a falta de tratamento de esgoto, principalmente em comunidades rurais e de baixa renda. O desenvolvimento de tecnologias para saneamento eficientes e de baixo custo precisam ser desenvolvidas para atender a população desfavorecida deste serviço básico. Nesse trabalho foi proposta a implantação de uma tecnologia denominada wetlands construídos, também conhecida por Estação de Tratamento de Esgoto por Zona de Raízes – ETEZR. O objetivo do trabalho foi desenvolver uma proposta de Educação Ambiental não formal para o saneamento, utilizando metodologias de sensibilização para os moradores e implantação desta tecnologia ETEZR na comunidade rural da Colônia Mergulhão em São José dos Pinhais - PR. Com o apoio técnico do Instituto Paranaense de Assistência Técnica e Extensão Rural – EMATER e da Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná – UTFPR, foram implantadas 5 ETEZR na colônia, por meio de 3 Oficinas teóricas e práticas, nas quais participaram no total 67 pessoas da comunidade, 5 técnicos da EMATER e 13 da Prefeitura Municipal do Município. Após 4 meses da implantação foram realizadas 2 coletas do efluente bruto e tratado para analisar parâmetros físico-químicos e biológicos. Os resultados avaliados pelos parâmetros químicos DBO, DQO, fósforo, nitrogênio amoniacal comparando esgoto bruto e tratado, demonstram que as ETEZR são eficientes no tratamento de esgoto.Nas 5 estações a eficiência mínima e máxima entre os parâmetros básicos analisados foram de 52,2 a 95,5% para a DBO; 47 a 94,5% para a DQO; 21,5 a 96% para fósforo; 30 a 98% para nitrogênio amoniacal. Os óleos e graxas, e a série de sólidos também obtiveram significativa redução em seus valores quando comparados o esgoto bruto e o esgoto tratado, e os parâmetros biológicos avaliados por meio dos coliformes apresentaram uma redução entre 80 a 99%. Com a aplicação do processo de Educação Ambiental voltado ao saneamento foi possível avaliar a percepção da população para a aceitação da tecnologia de saneamento ambiental utilizando as ETEZR, compreender as necessidades e conceitos de saneamento para a comunidade. : Esta pesquisa avaliou o desenvolvimento da metodologia aplicada pela Educação Ambiental não formal, a fim de proporcionar subsídios ao processo do plano de saneamento rural para o município.
One of the biggest environmental problems of the population is the lack of sewage treatment, especially in rural communities and low-income. The development of technologies for efficient, low-cost sanitation need to be developed to meet the disadvantaged people of this basic service. This work was the implementation proposal of a technology called constructed wetlands, also known as Wastewater Treatment Plant for Roots Zone - ETEZR. The objective was to develop a non- formal environmental education proposal for redevelopment, using outreach methods for residents and deployment of this technology ETEZR in the rural community of Cologne Grebe in Sao Jose dos Pinhais - PR. With technical support from the Paranaense Technical Assistance and Rural Extension Institute -EMATER and the Federal Technological University of Paraná - UTFPR, 5 ETEZR were deployed in the colony through three theoretical and practical workshops, which involved total 67 people from the community 5 technicians EMATER and 13 of the Municipal Town Hall. Após4 months of implementation were carried out two collections of raw wastewater and treated to analyze physical, chemical and biological parameters. The results evaluated by chemical parameters BOD, COD, phosphorus, ammonia nitrogen comparing raw and treated sewage, demonstrate that ETEZR are effective in the treatment of sewage. 5 Seasons minimum and maximum efficiency between the basic parameters analyzed were 52.2 to 95.5% for BOD; 47 to 94.5% for COD; 21.5 to 96% phosphorus; 30-98% for ammonia nitrogen. Oils and greases, and a series of solid also achieved a significant reduction in their values when comparing the raw sewage and treated sewage, and biological parameters evaluated by means of coliforms showed a reduction of 80 to 99%. With the implementation of environmental education process aimed sanitation was possible to evaluate the perception of the population to accept the environmental sanitation technology using the ETEZR, understand the needs and sanitation concepts for the community. This research evaluated the development of the methodology applied by the non-formal environmental education in order to provide subsidies for rural sanitation plan process for the municipality.

Due to urban development, green space is replaced by impervious pavement that disturbs the urban water cycle. To mitigate the negative effect brought by urbanization, green roof has been widely accepted as one of methods to achieve this goal. Determination of irrigation water requirement for green roof is necessary. Therefore, estimation of evapotranspiration is required for determining water requirement of green roof and provides as the base for storage volume determination of rainwater harvesting system. For most research in evapotranspiration, the application mostly focused on irrigation water requirement and rare in that of green roof aspect. The Penman formula was complicated and also widely used in irrigation water requirement estimation but it required more parameters that are not available in some locations. The purpose of this research was to select some evapotranspiration formulas with less parameter and compare with the observed data to determine the proper parameter values for local use. Firstly, this research extended the observed evapotranspiration data by using the Penman formula and evapotranspiration modified coefficient (K). Then the theoretical evapotranspiration values for daily and monthly estimated by the methods of Blancy-Criddle, Hargreaves and Samani and Kharrufa were compared with that of extended observation values. It was found that daily and monthly vales estimated by those three formulas were under-estimated compared to observed data. Secondly, the fitness coefficient would be used to evaluate the goodness of parameters among formulas that would decrease the difference between observed and estimated values. The results showed that the Hargreaves and Samani formula was superior to other two formulas in daily estimation of evapotranspiration values. Because of sunshine percentage variation, both Blancy-Criddle and Samani formulas could not obtain the certain precision even with parameters adjustments. Therefore, the Hargreaves and Samani formula was recommended for the areas with limited meteorological and hydrological data.

Rising environmental awareness has made the concept of green consumption become more and more popular. The endless emergence of food safety incidents has made infant food safety more and more concerning. It has also boosted the booming organic infant formula market. However, there are many brands of organic infant formula, which gives consumers a difficult choice and brings consumer confusion. Additionally, the lifestyle of each consumer is different. To understand existing and potential organic infant formula consumers, the food-related lifestyle model is suitable as a tool to group consumers into several types. The purpose of this study is to explore the differences between consumer confusion and the intention of green consumption among consumers of different food-related lifestyles and the relationship between consumer confusion and the intention of green consumption. This study issued web-based questionnaires to consumers who participate in Internet forum or virtual community about parent-child or parenting. The lower age limit was 23. 409 Questionnaires were distributed and 381 effective questionnaires were collected. The analytical methods included description statistics, exploratory factor analysis, cluster analysis, one-way analysis of variance, and correlation analysis. The conclusions of the study are as follows: 1. The consumers were grouped into three types: unfamiliar with food, attach importance to texture and pragmatic. 2. There was no significant difference in the level of consumer confusion among different types of consumers. 3. There were differences in the intention of green consumption in different types of consumers. 4. There is a positive relationship between the intention of green consumption and consumer confusion.
