This article aims to determine the effectiveness, constraints faced by Duta Genre in socialize Genre Program BKKBN in Padang City. As well as knowing how far the role of government overcome the genre ambassador problem in socialize genre BKKBN program. This research uses a qualitative approach which is interpreted as a research resulting in a descriptive form of words that can be observed and directed to the background individually and in society. A qualitative research approach is a complex, in-depth approach. The informant is derived from the management of the generation planning Program, including Kasubid area of population control, counseling and mobilization DP3AP2KB Kota Padang, and from the Genre ambassadors. Based on the results of the study, the genre ambassadors in socialize BKKBN program in Padang City can be said to be effective. Padang City people feel the benefits of the presence of the genre ambassadors in socialize Genre BKKBN program. The changes that occurred after the ambassador genre can also be seen from the problem of young marriage, Napza, free sex, and readiness of human resources who are ready to receive the BKKBN program through the genre ambassadors by proving the public can Overcome obstacles. But there is still a shortage in the implementation of the genre ambassador activities in socialize Genre BKKBN program is weak supervision done to the event of the ambassador of the genre itself.

This article builds a theoretical model for comparative analysis of media culture based on the notion of genre, and applies it to a comparative analysis of television as a cultural form in socialist and post-socialist Croatia. The paper explores how the shares and generic composition of program modes of information, entertainment and fiction change in time, and how the contribution of different genres to program flow and modes varies with the changes of political, economic and technological context. Longitudinal trends in television flows are comparatively evaluated in relation to trends in genre developments in Europe and their relationship to the changes in the cultural role of television. The results show a decrease in the information and an increase in the fiction mode between socialism and democracy, with some similarities of the Croatian and western television culture in relation to genre and mode composition and flow, albeit with a belated introduction of neo television genres. Notwithstanding the limited freedom of expression and ideological content, which necessarily influenced socialist media culture, television as a cultural form in Croatia developed in concert with the global program flows. The article is based on original content analysis of television schedules where the unit of analysis is a televisions program listing. The analogue television universe is represented by longitudinal data for 1959, 1969, 1979, 1989, 1999, and 2009. The stratified systematic sample (N=3934) for each chosen year consists of two constructed weeks from a universe of all listed programs broadcast on all free to air television channels with a national reach license.

Genre is an important thing in planning film or TV program. This paper focuses on exploring two national TV programs that use docudrama genre to deliver people’s real past to represent their religious experience. By conducting interview with the producer of Obat Malam and Solusi TV program, the aim of this paper is to examine why docudrama genre used to represent religious experience in Obat Malam and Solusi TV program. The interview was conducted online via zoom meeting and involved the producer manager as the single participant. The open ended questions were used in the interview. A mix coding technique was applied in the interview data collection analysis. The findings show that producer’s perspective puts emphasis on docudrama genre as a configuration of particular elements, highlights visual narrative aspects, and accentuates qualities of docudrama modes of documentary. It can be concluded that docudrama genre meets the need of creative and contextual way to present religious experience to the viewers.

Abstract This study aims to see the benefits of INCAR in the implementation of the National Program of Generation Plans (GenRe) for youth and the community. Based on the results of the analysis, the program allows teenagers / peers to pulse to "Duta GenRe". Teens are given information by peers about the importance of health, skills and life skills, and counseling services. The implementation constraints of GenRe in the regions, especially the outer regions of Indonesia are not running smoothly due to risk factors and transportation. Therefore, BPPKB performs a method of delivering information called INCAR (Intelligent Smart Information) to convey the information needed to attract and modernize to solve existing problems using digital media. The result, has formed a variety of digital information media and social networking in the form of Teen PIK Blog, teen sites on Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, Instagram and others. In conclusion, the perceived benefit of INCAR in the GenRe Program is that BPPKB has succeeded in delivering information to teenagers in outer areas. With INCAR the teenagers in the remote areas can update the latest info. Benefits felt by the community, especially the school and parents is channeled teenagers activities in a positive container and monitored the activities of children and adolescents Another party and parents no longer feel worried about the association of teenagers. Keywords: youth, GenRe, INCAR Abstrak Kajian ini bertujuan melihat kemanfaatan INCAR dalam pelaksanaan Program Nasional Generasi Berencana (GenRe) bagi remaja dan masyarakat. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, program ini melibatkan remaja/anak sebaya berpotensi menjadi “Duta GenRe”. Remaja diberikan informasi oleh teman sebayanya tentang pentingnya kesehatan reproduksi, keterampilan dan kecakapan hidup, serta pelayanan konseling. Kendala pelaksanaan GenRe di daerah, khususnya daerah terluar Indonesia tidak berjalan mulus dikarenakan hambatan faktor geografis dan transportasi. Karena itu BPPKB meluncurkan suatu metode penyampaian informasi disebut INCAR (Informasi Cerdas Ala Remaja) untuk menyampaikan informasi yang bernilai positif namun tetap dalam kemasan menarik dan modern untuk mengatasi permasalahan remaja yang kompleks dengan memanfaatkan media teknologi digital. Hasilnya, telah terbentuk berbagai media informasi digital dan jejaring sosial dalam bentuk Blog PIK Remaja, komunitas remaja di Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, Instagram dan lainnya. Kesimpulannya, manfaat yang dirasakan dengan adanya INCAR dalam Program GenRe adalah BPPKB berhasil mengatasi kendala penyampaian informasi kepada remaja di daerah sulit dijangkau. Dengan adanya INCAR para remaja yang berada di pedalaman dapat meng-update info-info terbaru. Manfaat yang dirasakan masyarakat khususnya sekolah dan orang tua adalah tersalurkannya kegiatan remaja di dalam wadah yang positif dan terpantaunya kegiatan anak dan remaja sehingga pihak sekolah dan para orang tua tidak lagi merasa khawatir dengan pergaulan remaja. Latar Belakang : Program GenRe adalah suatu program untuk memfasilitasi terwujudnya tegar remaja, yaitu remaja yang berperilaku sehat, terhindar dari risiko Triad KRR, menunda usia pernikahan, mempunyai perencanaan kehidupan berkeluarga untuk mewujudkan keluarga kecil bahagia sejahtera. Pentingnya dilakukan penelitian tentang program GenRe agar dapat membantu pemerintah dalam menjalankan program kerja untuk menurunkan angka kejadian pernikahan dini, narkoba dan sek bebas. Tujuan: Mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan remaja tentang program GenRe di SMP Negeri 2 Penebel. Metode : Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif dengan rancangan cross-sectional. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 2 Penebel, pada bulan agustus 2020 dengan Jumlah sample sebanyak 75 siswa yang di ambil secara random. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner yang diberikan secara online dengan item pertanyaan 15 soal dan analisis data menggunakan analisis univariat. Hasil dan simpulan : gambaran pengetahuan remaja tentang program GenRe di SMP Negeri 2 Penebel sebagian besar dalam katagori baik yaitu 62 responden sebanyak (82,7%). Kesimpulan : Gambaran pengetahuan remaja tentang program GenRe sebagian besar dalam kategori baik.

Candidate programs are a publication of political parties during the agitation campaign, which presents the political attitudes of a political actor and influence voters’ motivation to vote in elections. The electoral candidate program illustrates a politician’s relationship with voters. It is an element of political communication, part of the image of a political figure. The article deals with the rhetoric of electoral candidate programs announced before the elections to the Seimas, the European Parliament, and Municipal Councils (2014–2019). The aim is to identify and expand the characteristic rhetorical elements that allow qualifying political electoral programs as a specific genre of political rhetoric: at the inventive level, the study of rhetorical strategies includes the analysis of rhetorical reasoning, the relationship between a political actor and a voter; at the dispositional level, the composition of programs is analyzed; and finally, at the elocutionary level, the specifics of the linguistic expression of discourse are investigated. A rhetorical study of discourse revealed that, in many cases, the electoral candidate program functions as a tool for building the image of a political actor, a tool for discrediting opponents and spreading populist promises.

Indonesia adalah salah satu negara yang memiliki permasalahan dalam kependudukan. Jumlah penduduk yang tinggi mengakibatkan kurangnya wadah dalam upaya peningkatan sumber daya manusia. Oleh karena itu, Untuk merespon permasalahan tersebut Direktorat Bina Ketahanan Remaja Badan Kependudukan dan Keluarga Berencana Nasional (BKKBN) mengadakan sebuah program yang bernama “Generasi Berencana (GenRe)”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan melihat keberhasilan pelaksanaan program GenRe dalam membantu merealisasikan UU RI Nomor 20 Tahun 2003 tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional khususnya pembentukkan karakter remaja di Kota Padang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif metode deskriptif. Pemilihan informan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yaitu 40 orang informan yang tersebar di 6 titik Kota Padang Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Program GenRe adalah program yang dikembangkan dalam rangka persiapan bonus demografi 2030 untuk membentuk tegar remaja yang kreatif, inovatif dan penuh perencanaan masa depan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) Program GenRe sejalan dengan filosofi hidup orang Minangkabau “Adat basandi sarak, sarak basandi kitabullah, sarak mangato, adat mamakai, alam takambang jadi guru”. Melalui program ini dapat terlihat dengan jelas perpaduan antara aturan adat, agama, dan Negara dalam rangka membentuk karakter generasi muda, (2) Pembentukkan karakter remaja dilakukan melalui dua pendekatan yaitu secara langsung (sekolah) dan secara tidak langsung (orang tua). Namun, pembentukkan karakter remaja di Kota Padang melalui program GenRe belum terlaksana secara optimal karena tiga faktor (1) Operasional waktu, (2) Tenaga ahli (peran duta GenRe), (3) Pendanaan. Hasil penelitian ini sangat menarik menjadi bahan diskusi untuk melihat perkembangan pelaksanaan program GenRe sebagai solusi pemerintah dalam membantu permasalahan yang dialami remaja.

The success of a nation in the future will be largely determined by the quality of adolescents in the present. Therefore, adolescent's personal life must be prepared as early as possible in order to achieve optimal quality. The main program that support the achievement of youth quality is the Generasi Berencana (GenRe) program. This research aims to analyze the description of GenRe program implementation in Indonesia and in East Java Province based on the 2017 Survey of performance indicators on Population Program, Family Planning and Family Development. This study focuses on increasing age of first marriage, adolescent resproductive health, family development program for adolescent andCounseling Information Centers for Youth. Study found that GenRe program which covers three indicators in both Indonesia and East Java is still unoptimally implemented. In order to maximize the implementation of GenRe, this study suggest to increase the knowledge and exposure of information regarding three indicators of the GenRe Program for adolescents, families who have teenage family members and communities in the territory of Indonesia, especially in East Java Province.

Background: Future planning for teenagers is an important thing that needs to be prepared to the fullest extend. Generally, teenagers have not considered that it is not a necessary to think about that when they are still in education. Although everyone has different talents and interests, still, there are many teenagers who recklessly follow their peers and make a wrong decision in taking their field of study. The Government of Indonesia through the generation plan (GenRe) program attempts to direct teenagers regarding their future. The purpose of this study is to describe the preference of teenagers in generation plan (GenRe) program in terms of characteristics of teenagers and their access to information in Padang city. The results of this study can become an input in the implementation of the programs for teenagers.Methods: Analytical with cross-sectional approach was used as the research design. 249 respondents were 13-24 year-old teenagers who were taken with accidental sampling. Data were collected with questionnaires which contained demographic data questions (age, gender, education) and access to information about Generation Plan (GenRe) program. And the data analysis used Chi-Squre statistic.Results: There was a significant correlation between the characteristics of teenagers: age (p = 0.018) gender (p = 0.037) and education (p = 0,020) on youth preference in choosing generation plan (GenRe) program, while there was no connection to information access to the program, there were: the existing source of information (p = 0.077), the desire to find information with p value = 0.097 and information obtained with the value p = 0.075).Conclusions: Therefore, we expect that the socialization of generation plan (GenRe) program needs to be improved and socialized more through social media for further development.

The implementation of Generation Plan (GenRe) Program developed by BKKBN requires supporting methods in order to be implemented appropriately. One method that has been launched by BPPKB is the delivery of information called INCAR (Smart Information for Teenagers) to deliver positive information in attractive and modern ways. This study aims to look at the benefits of INCAR in the implementation of the GenRe (Generation Plan) Program. The method used in this study was descriptive with a qualitative approach. Based on the results of the analysis, this program involves teenagers/children of the same age as "GenRe Ambassador". Teenagers are given information by their peers about reproductive health and life skills, as well as counseling services through digital technology. As a result, various digital information media and social networks were formed, such as: the PIK Teen Blog, youth communities on Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, Instagram and others. Constraints to the implementation of GenRe Program especially in the outermost regions of Indonesia are geographical factors and transportation problems. In conclusion, INCAR, in the GenRe Program has helped BPPKB in delivering information to the teenagers, especially in difficult-to-reach areas so that they can get the latest information as soon as possible. While for the community, especially for schools and parents, the benefits are that teenagers can channel their activities in a positive and easily monitored manner so that the school and parents no longer worried about promiscuity. Keywords: GenRe, INCAR, youth Abstrak Pelaksanaan Program Generasi Berencana (GenRe) yang dikembangkan oleh BKKBN memerlukan metode pendukung agar terimplementasi secara tepat. Salah satu metode yang diluncurkan oleh BPPKB adalah penyampaian informasi yang disebut INCAR (Informasi Cerdas Ala Remaja) untuk menyampaikan informasi yang bernilai positif namun tetap dalam kemasan menarik dan modern. Kajian ini bertujuan melihat kemanfaatan INCAR dalam pelaksanaan Program Nasional Generasi Berencana (GenRe). Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, program ini melibatkanremaja/anak sebaya sebagai “Duta GenRe”. Remaja diberikan informasi oleh teman sebayanya tentang kesehatan reproduksi, keterampilan dan kecakapan hidup, serta pelayanan konseling melalui teknologi digital. Hasilnya, terbentuk berbagai media informasi digital dan jejaring sosial dalam bentuk Blog PIK Remaja, komunitas remaja di Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, Instagram dan lainnya. Kendala pelaksanaan GenRe, khususnya di daerah terluar Indonesia adalah faktor geografis dan masalah transportasi. Kesimpulannya, INCAR dalam Program GenRe telah membantu BPPKB dalam penyampaian informasi kepada remaja khususnya di daerah sulit dijangkau sehingga para remaja dapat meng-update info-info terbaru. Manfaat yang dirasakan masyarakat khususnya sekolah dan orang tua adalah tersalurkannya kegiatan remaja dalam wadah yang positif dan mudah dipantau sehingga pihak sekolah dan para orang tua tidak lagi merasa khawatir dengan pergaulan remaja. This study aims to determine communication strategy of Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) Special Region of Yogyakarta in disseminating Generation Program Planning (GenRe). The study uses descriptive qualitative method. The result shows that communication strategy undertaken by BKKBN Yogyakarta Province in disseminating the program GenRe is through Student Ambassador Selection genre, GenRe Goes To School and GenRe Goes To Campus, Genre Comedy Competition, Poster Competition genre, and Competition NGE - rap genre. BKKBN also uses mass media as a medium of socialization such as Public Service Announcements on television and radio, internet media by creating a website, blog, facebook, and twitter, as well as the use of billboards appeal board. BKKBN also works with schools and colleges to form the Youth Information and Counseling Center / Student (PIK R/M) to get closer to teenagers and college students.

AbstractNowadays magical Realism is the most popular literary genre in the world. This genre has strong influences in literature as well as fine art and film. It is for this reason that people competence in working with this genre is very important for developing Indonesian creative industry. Therefore, Magister Program for Literary Studies Faculty of Cultural Sciences Gadjah Mada University necessities to have a workshop program for investing people writing capability in this kind of genre. Target subject for the program is Darussalam Literary Community whose activities located in Islamic Boarding House (Pesantren) Darussalam, Ciamis, West Java. By using theory of Magical Realism and participatory method in three days intensive course the program found that the member of community involved in the course had strong potential capacity in literary writing. Although the first step of the program focused in training for writing in realistic literary work, there was a surprising phenomenon indicated the participant capability in writing magical realist work as well. -----------AbstrakRealisme magis merupakan genre sastra yang saat ini paling populer di dunia. Paham ini tidak hanya berpengaruh di bidang seni sastra, tetapi juga seni rupa, film, dan sebagainya. Oleh karena itu, kemampuan untuk menulis karya sastra dengan genre ini sangat penting bagi industri kreatif. Dengan alasan inilah, Program Magister Ilmu Sastra, Fakultas Ilmu Budaya UGM menganggap perlu untuk mengadakan pelatihan penulisan sastra realisme magis ini bagi masyarakat. Yang dipilih sebagai kelompok sosial sasaran adalah Komunitas Sastra Darussalam yang berlokasi di Pesantren Darussalam Ciamis. Tahap pertama program ini adalah pelatihan dasar penulisan sastra dengan genre realisme yang juga menjadi dasar dari realisme magis. Program itu dilaksanakan secara intensif selama tiga hari dengan menggunakan teori realisme magis sebagai kerangka konseptualnya dan gabungan antara ceramah, diskusi, latihan, dan partisipasi sebagai metodenya. Hasil kegiatan tersebut membuktikan bahwa peserta pelatihan yang berjumlah 15 orang mempunyai kepekaan terhadap persoalan-persoalan empiris yang ada di lingkungan pesantren dan mempunyai kemampuan dalam penulisan latar, tokoh, serta alur cerita. Meskipun program pada tahap ini difokuskan pada penulisan karya sastra yang realistis, peserta sudah memperlihatkan potensi dalam penulisan realisme magis.

The article presents the results of a study of the functional, formal and substantive features of the texts of Russian laws, which approve program-goal docments (development strategies, concepts, programs, forecast plans, etc.). The article is based on discourse and genre approaches to the study of legislative texts, the legislative text space as a whole. It is noted that, on the one hand, this type of laws reflects the general features of modeling and transроforming of modern legal discourse; reproduces the institutional aspects of the legislative process; broadcasts legislative intentions, strategies and tactics. On the other hand, laws that approve documents of a program-goal nature have distinctive characteristics that allow defining these laws as a separate subgenre type. The subgenre of law is defined by the author on the basis of the following parameters: (1) intention of the uthor; (2) the purpose and functions of the law; (3) the factor of the subject of legal discourse (author/addressee of the law); (4) spatio-temporal and other circumstantially determining characteristics reflected in the text of the law explicitly or implicitly (who adopted and signed the law, during which period and in which territory it is applied, etc.); (5) type of institutional action; (6) the institutional status of the law within the system of laws; (7) subject-thematic “radius” of the text; (8) formal segmentation of text; (9) features of the correlation of functional semantic types of speech; (10) degree of uniformity, subgenre markers and clichés. The formal and informative structures of program-approving laws are analyzed on the basis of the fol-lowing segments: pretext and post-text details, intra-text components, post-text application (approved document). These segments are analyzed from various points of view: obligation, localization, combinatorics, unification, etc. When conducting research, special attention is paid to structural, typological, comparative and other types of analyzes.

The article is devoted to the functional-stylistic analysis of the new genre of Ukrainian television news – infotainment. The author emphasizes that this genre is currently actively developing in the field of national television. In addition, it has a number of specific features inherent only to it. On the example of the TV program "Абзац!" on the New Channel and "M1 News" on the M1 channel the author provides an analysis of the broadcasting media specifics in the television programs of the infotainment genre. Infotainment – literally "infotainment = information + entertainment" – is a diffuse genre, which emerged as functional mix of two genres – informational and entertainment. The essence of the infotainment news is laying in the presentation of official news in an amusement way. The history of infotainment establishment is related not only to the globalization of television, but also to the change in information space paradigm in general. This genre emerged in the American mediaspace in the 80's of the 20th century and, with the help of the globalization process, gradually expanded its borders therefore it became popular outside the United States. In addition, the infotainment changed its format to the needs of the Ukrainian viewer that gave it the unique features that distinguish this genre not only among other types of news, but also among similar foreign prototypes. Among such features the author distinguish: conversational style of speech, the use of a large number of stylistic trails, the irony of discourse, emotional and expressive presentation of the material, versatility of the video and the free choice of thematic content. Due to these features, the Ukrainian infotainment as neo-genre is gaining popularity among recipients. As a result, it was proved that the infotainment exists on the Ukrainian television and has its own linguistic and stylistic features that require attention not only from journalists, but also by linguists, in particular medialinguists. The bright example of studied programs shows that such a genre enriches not only the content of the television media space, but also the language of the recipients by the innovative lexical units.

Dalam program ini, Badan Kependudukan Keluarga Berencana Nasional (BKKBN) Provinsi Gorontalo mempromosikan pendewasaan usia pernikahan dengan tujuan peningkatan media usia nikah khususnya bagi perempuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi komunikasi yang dilakukan kantor BKKBN Provinsi Gorontalo dalam Mensosialisasikan Program Generasi Berencana (GenRe) di Kota Gorontalo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Deskriptif dengan pendekatan Kualitatif.Untuk memperoleh data penelitian menggunakan Observasi dan Wawancara dengan menggunakan Analisis Data Reduksi Data, Penyajian Data dan Kesimpulan.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi komunikasi yang dilakukan Kantor BKKBN berjalan sudah cukup efektif dan efisien. Tetapi masih ada beberapa kendala yang sering terjadi pada saat sosialisasi Program GenRe, dilihat dari pemilihan media komunikasi, pengkajian tujuan pesan, dan peranan komunikator.

Genre analyses and contrastive rhetoric studies have dealt with quite a number of genres of writing. However, genre analysts and contrastive rhetoric researchers have not carried out adequate analyses of doctoral prospectuses. This paper will, subsequently, address this issue by analyzing a genre of texts of doctoral prospectuses. The analysis will be focused on the sub-genre of "Background of the Study" of the prospectuses. Limitations of accessibility, however, have led this study to only focus on analyzing fourteen doctoral prospectuses written in English by Indonesian students of EFL accessible from the Graduate Program, State University of Malang, Indonesia. This situation suggests that the present study is preliminary. Preliminary, notwithstanding, the study will contribute to filling the gap of the underresearched issue of doctoral studies in Indonesia, particularly, those pertinent to the area of ELT. The analysis shows a tendency that the texts of Background of the Study do not show research spaces. Relevant to this, the article provides an interpretive explanation of the possible factors attributable tothis issue.

Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dokumentasi dan wawancara. Analisis data dengan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil analisis data dengan data reduction, data display, dan conclusion drawing/verification. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa “Program GenRe” (generasi berencana) efektif dalam pencegahan pernikahan dini dengan membantu siswa dalam pemahaman remaja, siswa mampu menganalasis faktor-faktor penyebab pernikahan dini, siswa mendapatkan informasi dan promosi tentang kesehatan reproduksi remaja, dampak pernikahan dini serta solusi untuk penekanan pernikahan dini. Selanjutnya siswa memiliki perencanaan yang matang dalam kehidupan keluarga. Jadi “Program GenRe” sangat efektif dalam pencegahan pernikahan dini pada siswa.

This research was motivated by observations and interviews of learning tools for reading skills lectures in the Indonesian Language and Literature study program, Bung Hatta University. It is known that reading courses are generally given in the form of minimal reading theory and practice. As a result, students have difficulty understanding the reading text because students do not know the genre of the text being read. To solve this problem, one of the alternatives proposed is to apply the AP4M Model in Reading Comprehension of Narrative Text Genres through E-Learning. The research objective was to describe students' reading comprehension skills using the AP4M model. This research uses qualitative and quantitative methods. The research subjects were students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program, Bung Hatta University, Padang, class 2019/2020. The results showed that the students' ability to determine themes and messages was 8.90; determine the type of narrative text and its description 8.90; determine the structure of the narrative text genre 9.80; determine the character of the character 7.8. The results of the research on the application of the AP4M Model in reading comprehension of the narrative text genre of students were 8.6 with the very good category.

Background: According to Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN), adolescents are aged 10-24 years and are not married. Indonesian Basic Health Research (RISKESDAS) 2018 showed around 58.8% of adolescents aged 10-19 years had been married and had had a pregnancy. The Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (SDKI) results revealed that risk behavior among male junior and senior high school students was around 8.06%, and female were 4.17%. This study aimed to determine the correlation between the Planning Generation (GenRe) Program knowledge and adolescents’ characteristics with dating experience in East Java Province. Method: This research was a cross-sectional study. Secondary data were collected from the 2019 Program Performance and Accountability Survey (SKAP) and were analyzed descriptively with cross-tabulation and chi-square tests. The risk estimate calculation was also carried out to identify the Odd Ratio (OR). The sample used was 5,300 adolescents in East Java Province after weighting. The research variables consisted of dating behavior in adolescents, age, gender, and adolescents' knowledge about GenRe, HIV/AIDS, drugs, and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and Adolescent Reproductive Health Program.Results: The results showed that 41.80% of adolescents in East Java had dated. There was a significant correlation between dating behavior with adolescents’ knowledge about GenRe, HIV/AIDS, drugs, and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and Adolescent Reproductive Health Program (P-Value = 0.00). Dating behavior also had a significant correlation with age (P-Value = 0.00) and gender (P-Value = 0.00). This study concluded that there was a correlation between dating behavior in adolescents in East Java Province with age, gender, and adolescents’ knowledge about GenRe, HIV/AIDS, drugs, Sexually Transmitted Infection (STIs), and Adolescent Reproductive Health Program. They were strengthening the GenRe program through the introduction, explanation of program activities, and the process of youth involvement. So far, teenagers only know the name of the GenRe program. This action needs to be applied to prevent negative effects caused by dating behavior, such as premarital sex, unwanted pregnancy, and early marriage.

Adolescents’ wishful identification with televised scientist characters was examined as related to interactions among the following variables: gender of participant, gender of scientist character, program genre, and selected character attributes. Findings indicated some gender differences in adolescents’ wishful identification with scientist characters they viewed on television. Boys showed more wishful identification with male scientist than with female scientist characters for all character attributes, and girls showed more wishful identification with female scientist than with male scientist characters portrayed dominant or as working alone. Both girls and boys showed more wishful identification with scientist characters in drama programs than for those in cartoon and educational programs across all character attributes. Both girls and boys showed more wishful identification for some character attributes depending on the program genre viewed. Implications of these findings for producers of television programs and other media are discussed related to efforts to encourage adolescent girls’ interest in science careers.

Data BKKBN menyebut 57.688.472 jiwa yang berada dalam rentang usia remaja, artinya satu dari setiap 4 orang penduduk Indonesia adalah remaja. Jumlah yang sangat besar tersebut adalah potensi yang memerlukan pengelolaan yang terencana, sistematis dan terstruktur agar dapat bermanfaat bagi modal pembangunan bangsa ke depan. Genre Ceria dimulai pada 2015 dan berakhir pada 2020, dengan pendekatan kepada remaja melalui wadah pengembangan Pusat Informasi dan Konseling Remaja/Mahasiswa (PIK R/M) di sekolah. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi program Generasi Berencana di DKI Jakarta dengan menggunakan CIPP Evaluation Model pada PIK R/M di enam sekolah di DKI Jakarta Barat yang menjadi ujung tombak dalam upaya memberikan akses layanan dan informasi kesehatan reproduksi bagi remaja perempuan. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, tulisan ini berargumen bahwa program Genre Ceria yang digagas oleh BKKBN DKI Jakarta berjalan optimal meski cenderung terfokus pada remaja yang masih bersekolah, mengabaikan remaja yang putus sekolah, dan ketidakmampuan memahami situasi kultural masyarakat.

Previous studies in genre-based pedagogy mainly concerned with its teaching effects, few studies involved with students’ perceptions and attitudes which is actually playing a role in teaching and learning activities. The present study intends to make some explorations in this aspect. A quasi-experimental study to designed to answer the research question “What are students’ perceptions and attitudes towards the genre-based pedagogy developed in Chinese university students’ persuasive writings?” Thirty-four students participated in the study and a four-point Likert scale questionnaire and an interview were applied to collect the data. After the quantitative and qualitative analysis, the study find that most participants hold positive attitudes towards every item of the questionnaire and think highly of the genre-based teaching pedagogy from the following six aspects: the mastery of textual features, the genre-awareness of persuasion, confidence in writing an effective persuasion, attitudes towards group writing in the teaching instruction, interests in the application of the curriculum cycle to other genres and other program instruction related comments such as being difficult to master certain required language features and following the teaching patterns involved in the textual construction of persuasion. However, the general indication is that the curriculum cycle can help and enhance students’ understandings of each of the textual features of persuasion. Finally, the study provides implications for future teaching: the genre-based approach could be effectively and widely applied in Chinese university students’ genre writing as the apprenticeship involved allows the students to be more creative as their writing skills develop.

In most current work on genre, a set of genre categories needs to be predetermined. However, there are some cases where such predetermined genres cannot be clearly identified. Popular science, for instance, is a broad register carrying several specific purposes within it, suggesting that there are several genres of popular science, but it is unclear what these genres are. This paper introduces a linguistic approach to reveal hidden genres. For 600 written popular science texts from a variety of sources and disciplines, linguistic features were analysed using a range of computer programs and a cluster analysis conducted. The analysis produced four clusters with shared linguistic features, representing text types. The association of these text types with key features, functional relations, dominant sources, and prototypical members of each cluster helps us to induce genres on the basis of communicative purposes, a traditional criterion in identifying genres. Whether the produced text types are equivalent to genres was evaluated with a test set of data. The proposed approach achieves more than 70 % accuracy. The approach appears applicable for identifying genres of popular science and has pedagogical implications.

Students of English Language Teaching Program are required to have the ability to comprehend different kinds of texts or genres. Howewer, their reading ability as reflected in Reading courses and other courses is low. This paper is aimed at describing the students’ perception toward their reading difficulties of different genres. The data presented in this paper are partially derived from the data collected through a descriptive research conducted in 2009/2010 at the English Department of FBSS, State University of Padang. The instrument of the research were a reading test, which was to determine the level of the students in genre awareness and reading comprehension, and interview to gain students’ perception on their reading difficulties. Data were analysed descriptive-qualitatively and descriptive-quantitatively. From the result of the test, the students thus are categorised into high, middle and low achievers. The result of the interview showed that students with different level of comprehension had different difficulties in understanding texts with different genres because of some factors. Thus, improving the syllabus on Reading courses and other related courses such as Writing, TEFL dan Linguistics are considered important. Keywords: perception, genre awareness, reading comprehension

This paper reports on the grass roots adoption of a methodology for teaching reading and writing based on genre theory (Martin and Rose, 2012; Rose and Martin, 2012) in English for general purposes classes at an English language teaching (ELT) centre at an Australian university. We report on teachers’ experiences on using genre pedagogy, informed and inspired by the Reading to Learn (R2L) program and genre pedagogy from the so-called ‘Sydney School’ (Martin & Rose, 2007; Martin & Rose, 2008; Rose & Martin, 2012). We report on how we introduced elements of the R2L program into our lessons using a ‘bottom up’ approach with the view that individual teachers might find this useful for implementation of this methodology in their own contexts. We found that genre pedagogy can be adopted by teachers and implemented at the classroom level despite such challenges as teachers learning new classroom practices and reconciling differences with previous classroom practices.

The article considers a news text as a secondary type of text where news content undergoes modifications as a result of humorous interpretation. New trends in media coverage, which lead to a change in its format and linguistic content, are analyzed. The creation of a secondary news text / genre is shown as performed through transforming the main (primary) news text. The secondary media text belongs to the comic picture of the world, the modeling of which becomes possible due to various means of the comic which fulfill social-critical, aesthetic and entertainment functions. The empirical material of the study comprises 530 news texts telecast at the beginning of the program "Evening Urgant" on Channel One in 2017–2020. The identified mechanism of news transformation includes the use of irony, sarcasm, comic exaggeration and understatement, references to precedent phenomena, the techniques of allegory, comic dissonance and comic surprise, comic exposure, etc. The analysis of the news transformation mechanism revealed a reduction in the primary news component with a simultaneous "build-up" of a pragmatic component through the use of various means and techniques of the comic. This leads to the construction of a secondary news text, which, in turn, is characterized by a recombined semantic content and subjective interpretation of the primary news piece.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh peran orang tua, peran program GenRe (Generasi Berencana), pertahanan diri dan sumber informasi terhadap perilaku pencegahan seks pranikah pada remaja di SMAN 02 Dedai Kabupaten Sintang 2019. Metode penelitian menggunakan analisis pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa/i SMAN 02 Dedai Kabupaten Sintang yang berjumlah 90 orang. Data yang dikumpulan adalah data primer, pengambilan sampel dengan teknik accidental sampling. Dari hasil analisis didapatkan nilai peran orang tua (0,020<0,05), peran program GenRe (0,006<0,05), pertahanan diri (0,013<0,05), dan sumber informasi (0,012<0,05), dapat disimpulkan dari hasil analisis ada hubungan yang signifikan antara peran orang tua, peran program GenRe, pertahanan diri dan sumber informasi dengan perilaku pencegahan seks pranikah pada remaja. Hasil uji multivariat didapatkan dari hasil uji regresi logistik peran orang tua (0,010 <0,05), peran program GenRe (0,003<0,05), pertahanan diri (0,007<0,05) dan sumber informasi (0,006<0,05) berpengaruh terhadap perilaku pencegahan seks pranikah pada remaja. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa memberikan bimbingan sejak dini kepada anak sangat penting tidak hanya tugas orang tua tetapi pihak yang memahami akan kesehatan reproduksi juga harus turut berkontribusi agar para remaja memilki kualitas yang optimal. In this article social constructionist genre theory is utilized to illuminate several issues of debate in theme-based EAP pedagogy, including program goals, course design, and course content. Genre theory shows us that genre mastery requires a student to become enculturated into the community and its values, and that criteria for mastery of a genre are community-determined. It is argued, then, that EAP instructors cannot hope to teach students the specific skills they will require for all their future content courses. What they can do is to give students strategies that will enable them more easily to enter and thus determine the expectations of, any community. Certain genre theorists propose that to give students strategies involves leading them through the processes of acquiring a genre in an authentic social community such as exists in content courses, and this article attempts to show that theme-based pedagogy may be failing to do this in several regards.

This paper discusses the roles of intermodality and multilingualism in a genre pedagogy program aimed to improve students’ literacy in Indonesia. It draws on data from an intervention program which extended the Reading to Learn (R2L) genre-based literacy pedagogy to embed English literacy learning in biology lessons for Indonesian junior high school students. This bilingual R2L program is innovative in that it involves the use of written and spoken Bahasa Indonesia and English for both teaching materials and instruction. This particular study focuses on the final stage of the program: The collaborative writing process known as joint construction. This is conducted in the bilingual R2L program by jointly making notes from Indonesian (L1) reading texts, jointly re-instantiating these notes as English (L2) lexis, and then using these L2 notes to jointly construct new L2 texts. The methodology is thus intermodal and multilingual, from written L1 texts, through oral dictation to L1 notes, then through bilingual discussion to re-instantiation as written L2 lexis, and finally through further bilingual discussion to re-instantiation as written L2 text. The study applies genre and register theory to closely examine classroom interactions in Joint Construction, from the perspectives of their structuring, the intermodal sourcing of meanings, and relations between teachers and learners. Evidence from student assessments suggest these designed applications of intermodality and multilingual reinstantiation are highly effective in the development of autonomous skills in L2 science writing. This article aims to describe how and why they are so effective.

Adolescent face very vulnerable period of transition from childhood to adulthood. Because adolescents do not have enough knowledge and awareness to get through this transition, adolescents often experience various kinds of problems. Genereasi Berencana Program (GenRe) is one of the interventions to overcome this problem. The high intensity of adolescents in using social media is the foundation of the GenRe program choosing this new media as one of their communication channels. The use of social media is considered as a communication strategy that is relevant and appropriate for adolescents. This study aims to examine how social media is used in social marketing for adolescents and how create an effective message on social media to increase adolescent awareness. The research was conducted through a descriptive qualitative approach to explain how social media is used as a channel for social marketing communication and how to create effective message on social media. Three informans were selected based on purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out by interview and literature study. The data analysis technique used in this study refers to Miles & Hubberman which consists of three subprocesses, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions or verification. Social marketing theory is used for analysis to answer the problems in this study. The results showed that social media can be utilized as a social marketing communication channel for adolescent.But,low engagement of substance content compared to non-substance is a challenge faced by GenRe programs on social media. Frequency, consistency and involvement of influencers are some of the strategies that can be implemented to overcome these problems. Remaja mengalami periode yang sangat rentan yaitu masa transisi dari masa anak-anak menuju masa dewasa. Karena remaja tidak memiliki pengetahuan dan kesadaran bagaimana melewati masa transisi ini mengakibatkan remaja seringkali mengalami berbagai macam masalah. Program Generasi Berencana (GenRe) adalah salah satu intervensi untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Tingginya intensitas remaja dalam mengakses media sosial menjadi landasan program GenRe memilih media baru tersebut sebagai salah satu saluran komunikasi mereka. Penggunaan media sosial dianggap sebagai strategi komunikasi yang relevan dan sesuai bagi remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana media sosial digunakan dalam pemasaran sosial bagi remaja dan bagaimana strategi pengemasan pesan yang efektif di media sosial untuk meningkatkan kesadaran remaja. Penelitian dilakukan melalui pendekatan kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif untuk menggali informasi secara mendalam dari narasumber agar mendapatkan penjelasan bagaimana media sosial digunakan sebagai saluran komunikasi pemasaran sosial bagi remaja dan bagaimana strategi pengemasan pesan yang efektif di media sosial. Tiga narasumber dalam penelitian ini dipilih berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan studi literatur. Teknis analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mengacu pada Miles & Hubberman yang terdiri dari tiga subproses, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teori pemasaran sosial digunakan untuk analisis dan membantu menjawab permasalahan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan media sosial dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai saluran komunikasi pemasaran sosial bagi remaja. Namun media sosial tidak dapat berdiri sendiri sehingga pemilihan omni-channel adalah strategi yang lebih efektif. Rendahnya engagement konten substansi dibanding nonsubstansi adalah tantangan yang dihadapi pemasaran sosial program GenRe di media sosial. Frekuensi, konsistensi dan pelibatan influencer adalah beberapa strategi yang dapat diimplementasikan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut.

Different approaches to the analysis of television production - one-dimensional and multi-dimensional, exist. All television products are classified by purpose, format, way, and frequency of display, audience, genre, country of production, by who it was produced - the channel itself, or a third-party production company, whether this project is licensed or original. In recent years, Russian TV channels have been broadcasting a large number of conversational TV programs - talk shows. In the programmed broadcasting schedule of some TV channels, they take about 9 hours of airtime, and this is without repetitions. These projects can also be classified in several directions. A discussion between people on a particular topic, which includes elements of such genres as interviews and conversation, is the main essence of a talk show. The debate is a recognized genre of analytical journalism, but at the same time, many talk shows are also defined as a genre. The theory of genre is one of the most significant theoretical development areas in art history, but no single, generally accepted definition exists. Some people believe that the tasks of modern talk shows are well known. This is primarily a desire to make a comprehensively exciting television program with elements of intrigue from a primitive topic, to attract attention and a desire to form a specific attitude to the problem under discussion. The author has a different opinion on some points. Indeed, any show is based on attracting attention. For such projects, the presence of viewers in the studio became a kind of confirmation of the audience's interest in the topic and the opportunity to include them in the discussion, to achieve social commonality. However, from the author's point of view, greater attention must be paid to the idea what the producer wants to convey to the audience and how he wants to see it in the future, to the content - with what information and in what genre to do the project, and to the understanding in what form/format to make the content. At the same time, it is essential to remember that according to the theory of V.Behterev, the process of making people have a specific emotional state occurs faster and more efficiently than an attempt to convince them with the help of logical reasoning.

<p><strong><em>The aim of the study </em></strong><em>is to determine the general genre-specific pertain and genre dominants of service-expert programs on Ukrainian television.</em><em></em></p><p><strong><em>Research methodology.</em></strong><em> The research used methods of analysis, synthesis, abstraction and generalization, as well as monitoring, content analysis to determine the genre pertain of service-expert programs of own production of highly rated nation-wide TV channels and genre dominants inherent in this type of journalism.</em></p><p><strong><em>Results.</em></strong><em> The genre differentiation of modern Ukrainian television, which is enshrined in the Law of Ukraine «On Television and Radio Broadcasting», in the recommendations to licensees from the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine and offered by journalism specialists, is considered. Based on the theoretically substantiated characteristics of television genres and their groups, as well as on empirical data from the monitoring of nation-wide air content, the common features of service-expert programs with documentaries (information-analytical, artistic-analytical), entertaining and educational programs are determined. At the same time, service-expert programs can comprehensively combine features inherent in documentary, educational and entertainment television. As a result of the content analysis, the genre pertain of service-expert programs presented on Ukrainian highly rated television and their genre dominants were established.</em></p><p><strong><em>Novelty.</em></strong><em> For the first time, the place of service-expert programs in the general genre-specific division of television broadcasting was studied and genre dominants were empirically determined.</em></p><p><strong><em>Practical meaning.</em></strong><em> The results of the research can be used in the practice of television production of service-expert programs, in particular, taken into account when developing concepts and plots of programs.</em></p><p><strong><em>Key words:</em></strong><em> service-expert programs, Ukrainian television, genre, show, reality show.</em></p><div><div><p> </p></div></div>

This article discusses the theory of mashlahah mursalah on the Multi Level Marketing Planning Generation Program (MLM Genre) of the Family Planning and Women's Empowerment Office in Pasuruan Regency. From the research on the MLM Genre program organized by the Family Planning and Women's Empowerment Office of Pasuruan Regency, it can be concluded: First, this program has not been implemented properly because the program should have been implemented in every sub-district in Pasuruan Regency, which amounted to twenty-four Districts, but for now it is still running in five districts only. Among the factors is the lack of awareness of the Pasuruan community to participate in running the program. Second, the Multi Level Marketing Planning Generation Program organized by the Family Planning and Women's Empowerment Office of Pasuruan Regency in terms of activities and material delivered by the Family Planning and Women's Empowerment Office of Pasuruan Regency provides benefits for adolescents and the surrounding community who will get married. In the perspective of the maslahah mursalah, it has fulfilled the requirements of the mashlahah, and does not contradict to the texts, real, general in nature, and has many benefits.

AbstractThis paper describes a study of the computer essay-scoring program BETSY. While the use of computers in rating written scripts has been criticised in some quarters for lacking transparency or lack of fit with how human raters rate written scripts, a number of essay rating programs are available commercially, many of which claim to offer comparable reliability with human raters. Much of the validation of such programs has focused on native-speaking tertiary-level students writing in subject content areas. Instead of content areas with native-speakers, the data for this study is drawn from a representative sample of scripts from an English as a second language (ESL) Year 11 public examination in Hong Kong. The scripts (900 in total) are taken from a writing test consisting of three topics (300 scripts per topic), each representing a different genre. Results in the study show good correlations between human raters’ scores and the program BETSY. A rater discrepancy rate, where scripts need to be re-marked because of disagreement between two raters, emerged at levels broadly comparable with those derived from discrepancies between paired human raters. Little difference was apparent in the ratings of test takers on the three genres. The paper concludes that while computer essay-scoring programs may appear to rate inside a ‘black box’ with concomitant lack of transparency, they do have potential to act as a third rater, time-saving assessment tool. And as technology develops and rating becomes more transparent, so will their acceptability.

In recent years, opera companies throughout the United Kingdom have begun to provide educational programs for children that offer opportunities for “apprenticeship” training in the context of professional opera productions, alongside formal choral musicianship training. This article outlines a qualitative case study of a recently established children’s opera chorus program located in a northern England city, in which I investigated the extent to which the children became engaged with opera as a genre through their participation in the program. This study also considers the extent to which such programs affected children’s emerging cultural identities and musical preferences in an acculturative sense. Findings suggested that the authenticity and situatedness of the learning experience had a positive impact on the children’s engagement, with those that had participated in main-stage productions being most likely to state that they wished to pursue opera or musical theatre as a career in later life.

The present research explores the political content of TV talk shows under the theoretical frameworks of framing and cultivation analysis. The content analysis of systematically selected 100 programs of five top rated serious and five comedy talk shows broadcast on Pakistani TV Channels during October-December 2019 were analyzed to detect the tropes of political engagement and political skepticism. The research established that days of the week, duration of the program, and the program's genre influenced the tropes of programs. There search concludes that serious talk shows contributed to political engagement, whereas comedy talk shows created more politically skeptical tropes.

Drawing upon personal experience as a writing program administrator at a research university, and marshaling a body of critical scholarship that examines how neoliberal ideology in the academy might be opposed, the author discusses interstitial resistance in the form of a curricular alternative--namely, the outsider genre of zines. Because zines typically embody a "worldview dramatically at odds with the [one] cultivated and reinforced by institutions of higher education," zines offer students an alternative point of view not usually found in standard writing curricula.While the author uses zines as a central illustration, the purpose here is to encourage readers to find the "cracks and fissures" in their own institutions so that the insinuations of neoliberal policies might be resisted through teaching and administrative initiatives.

Despite many studies on the effect of MM on advertising, previous studies on MM considered MM a homogenous phenomenon. Further, whether and how media-related factors predict different modes of MM and how this behavior affects ad processing has been unknown. To fill this gap, the purpose of this study was to examine (a) the effect of program-genre on the occurrence of different modes of media multitasking (MM; utilitarian MM vs. hedonic MM) and (b) how different modes of MM influence the way viewers process ads on the primary screen (i.e., computer screen). A lab-based experiment yielded data for testing the hypotheses. The findings suggest that findings suggest that MM can be classified into two distinct modes: utilitarian MM and hedonic MM. Further, the findings show that participants who watched the sitcom tended to engage in a higher amount of utilitarian MM than those who watched the suspenseful drama; however, both groups engaged in a comparable amount of hedonic MM. The findings also indicate that participants who watched the sitcom demonstrated a lower level of ad memory than those who watched the suspenseful drama. The current study provides meaningful theoretical implications. Further, this study provides useful implications for advertising practitioners and marketers.
