Повний текст джерелаTransport systems are dynamically characterized not only by nonlinear interactions between the different components but also by feedback loops between the state of the network and the decisions of users. In particular, network congestion affects both the distribution of local demand by modifying route choices and overall multimodal demand. Depending on the conditions of the network, they may decide to change for example their transportation mode. Several equilibria can be defined for transportation systems. The user equilibrium corresponds to the situation where each user is allowed to behave selfishly and to minimize his own travel costs. The system optimum corresponds to a situation where the total transport cost of all the users is minimum. In this context, the study aims to calculate route flow patterns in a network considering different equilibrium conditions and study the network equilibrium in a dynamic setting. The study focuses on traffic models capable of representing large-scale urban traffic dynamics. Three main issues are addressed. First, fast heuristic and meta-heuristic methods are developed to determine equilibria with different types of traffic patterns. Secondly, the existence and uniqueness of user equilibria is studied. When there is no uniqueness, the relationship between multiple equilibria is examined. Moreover, the impact of network history is analyzed. Thirdly, a new approach is developed to analyze the network equilibrium as a function of the level of demand. This approach compares user and system optimums and aims to design control strategies in order to move the user equilibrium situation towards the system optimum

Повний текст джерелаProposes the application of a genetic algorithm (GA) and simulated annealing (SA) based hybrid approach for the scheduling of generator maintenance in power systems using an integer representation. The adapted approach uses the probabilistic acceptance criterion of simulated annealing within the genetic algorithm framework. A case study is formulated in this paper as an integer programming problem using a reliability-based objective function and typical problem constraints. The implementation and performance of the solution technique are discussed. The results in this paper demonstrate that the technique is more effective than approaches based solely on genetic algorithms or solely on simulated annealing. It therefore proves to be a valid approach for the solution of generator maintenance scheduling problems

Повний текст джерелаThis paper proposes the application of a genetic algorithm based methodology for the scheduling of storage tanks. The proposed approach is an integration of GA and heuristic rule-based techniques, which decomposes the complex mixed integer optimisation problem into integer and real number subproblems. The GA string considers the integer problem, and the heuristic approach solves the real number problems within the GA framework. The algorithm is demonstrated for a test problem related to a water treatment facility at a port, and has been found to give a significantly better schedule than those generated using a heuristic-based approach.

Data mining has become a very popular research area in recent years. The purpose of data mining lies in extracting useful knowledge from the large database, and offering enterprises the consultation while making policies. However, the quality of data analysis results will be affected if there exist missing values in the database. Thus far, the common practice has been to ignore observations with missing value. In this paper, we continue the advantage of using clustering analysis to deal with missing value problem proposed in the past. Here, we propose a new method to adjust the interval of all attributes from all training data by genetic algorithms. Data with different interval combination is regarded as different cluster. For same cluster we can compute values to meet the data with missing value. Finally, we use the air quality monitoring data to do our experiment. Through experiment result, the proposed method was shown to perform better accuracy and efficiency then other methods proposed in the past.

This thesis proposed a new text-independent speaker identification technique. A popular decomposition called principal component analysis (PCA) is widely used for feature extraction. PCA has the ability to find out the principal components which are mutually orthogonal. We may also reduce the dimension of feature through these principal components. In the beginning, we construct a time-frequency covariance matrix using the original feature extracted from each frame. Then use PCA to obtain a transformation matrix to get better feature. However, the identification rate is not very good. So we propose some approaches to improve the performance. At first, we propose another decomposition called independent component analysis (ICA). ICA is more and more popular in recent year because it ability to find out the independent components which are mutually independent. Using ICA, we get an improvement at most 3.61% than using PCA. Besides, we introduce an optimizer called genetic algorithm (GA). It can provide an optimal solution from all. We want apply GA to reduce the dimension while still maintaining good identification rate. GA optimizer can choose the “best” set of the ICA basis. Using GA optimizer, we get an improvement at most 4.17% than using randomly chosen set of ICA basis; the result is even better than using all PCA basis.

In this study, we adopt E-Gun evaporation system to deposit Gallium doped Zinc Oxide (GZO). We analyze the optical and electrical properties of GZO thin film and also discuss the contact property on p-GaN. Finally, we compare the electrical and optical characteristics of GZO TCL LEDs with conventional ITO TCL LEDs. At the Ga content of 6At.%, we obtained the lowest resistivity (ρ) was 2.44×10-4 ohm-cm which was at the same order of ITO thin film (1×10-4 ohm-cm) and the transmittance was the above 90% at visible range which was comparable with ITO thin film. We prepared two as-deposited GZO films on p-GaN and LEDs of different resistivities, 6.31×10-4 ohm-cm (P-1) and 3.56×10-4 ohm-cm (P-2), to study the electrical contact property and compared with ITO film with resistivity of 1.73×10-4 ohm-cm (P-ITO). The specific contact resistances (ρc) of P-1, P-2 and P-ITO were 7.49×10-1 ohm-cm2, 1.48×10-1 ohm-cm2 and 2.61 ×10-2 ohm-cm2, respectively. After the chip process, we characterized the electrical and optical properties of GZO-LEDs and ITO-LEDs at the injection current of 20mA. The forward voltage of GZO LED-1, GZO LED-1 and ITO-LED were 3.89 V, 3.47 V and 3.35 V, respectively. The forward voltage of GZO-LEDs exhibited 0.54V and 0.12V higher than that of ITO-LED. The output powers were 2.02mW, 1.98mW, and 1.7mW for GZO LED-1, GZO LED-2 and ITO LED, respectively. The output powers were enhanced by 19% and 16% for GZO LED-1, GZO LED-2 compared with that of ITO-LED. On the other hand, the external quantum efficiency were 3.63% and 3.55% for GZO LED-1, GZO LED-2 which showed 18.6% and 16% enhancement compared with that of ITO-LED,3.06%. We also did annealing process for GZO films and then did the chip process. However, we found that? ρ and ρc would be deteriorated after annealing process. At 20mA injection current, the forward voltages were higher than those as-deposit and degradations of EQE and output powers were also observed.
