Анотація:
Fuzzy logic represents an extension of classical logic, giving modes of approximate reasoning in an environment of uncertainty and imprecision. Fuzzy inference systems incorporates human knowledge into their knowledge base on the conclusions of the fuzzy rules, which are affected by subjective decisions. In this paper we show how the reinforcement learning technique can be used to tune the conclusion part of a fuzzy inference system. The fuzzy reinforcement learning technique is illustrated using two examples: the cart centering problem and the autonomous navigation problem.

Анотація:
One of the ways to increase the efficiency of the process of managing continuous dynamic objects is to develop new or improve existing control systems based on modern methods involving the achievements of information technology. The article deals with the creation of highly efficient control algorithms for technological objects, operating in conditions of uncertainty, designed to manage real-life objects. An algorithm is proposed for the structural-parametric adaptation of the PID parameters (proportional-integral-differential) -regulator, which allows to reduce the number of iterations in the learning process of the fuzzy-logical inference algorithm by reducing empty solutions. To determine the empty solutions, hybrid algorithms are used, which include modernized genetic and immune algorithms, which in turn allow you to configure the adaptation parameters of artificial neural network models. A block diagram of an automated control system for executive mechanisms is proposed, which includes a block for adapting the correction of not only parameters, but also the structure of the control system, which allows to reduce the error in the results of training a neuro-fuzzy network from 8 to 1%. The proposed algorithm is simple to implement on microcontrollers, which allows it to be implemented in the tasks of process control in the conditions of information uncertainty in real conditions at the operation stage.

Анотація:
This paper proposes a new reasoning technique on fuzzy production systems while given input knowledge is incomplete. Based on the fuzzy Petri net formalism, the proposed algorithm can infer all possible conclusions and their corresponding missing inputs. The most possible conclusion can also be determined based on the criteria of the minimum number of missing inputs as well as the degree of truth of the conclusion. In addition, finiteness and computational complexity of the algorithm is investigated. As real decisions are typically made under incomplete input knowledge, this reasoning technique provides more realistic applications for fuzzy production systems.

Abstract The relevance of mechanisms and fuzzy modeling methods used in transport and logistics processes is justified. The logic of the transport and logistics chains study by their decomposition into separate economic entities with subsequent synthesis, with taking into account their conflicting interests, is presented. The task of managing transport and logistics processes is set within the framework of the conceptual positions of the fuzzy sets theory: the use of linguistic variables, the concept of a fuzzy set, fuzzy inference, implemented on the basis of fuzzy sets operations. In this study, the fuzzy modeling on the bottom-up conclusions from the premises to the conclusion was used. Various methods of implication and defuzzification have been analyzed. An iterative procedure for managing transport and logistics chains and their links has been proposed, which ensures the adaptation of the process to the specified performance indicators. A calculated example is given for a marshalling yard as a link in the transport and logistics chain.

This article shows that sufficient conditions of Theorems 1–3 and the conclusions of Lemmas 1–2 for Takasi–Sugeno fuzzy model–based fractional order systems in the study “Takagi–Sugeno fuzzy control for a wide class of fractional order chaotic systems with uncertain parameters via linear matrix inequality” do not hold as asserted by the authors. The reason analysis is discussed in detail. Counterexamples are given to validate the conclusion.

Fuzzy set theory allows for the inclusion of vague human assessments in computing problems. Also, it provides an effective means for conflict resolution of multiple criteria and better assessment of options. Fuzzy rule interpolation offers a useful means for enhancing the robustness of fuzzy models by making inference possible in sparse rule-based systems. However, in real-world applications of inter-connected rule bases, situations may arise when certain crucial antecedents are absent from given observations. If such missing antecedents were involved in the subsequent interpolation process, the final conclusion would not be deducible using conventional means. To address this issue, an approach named backward fuzzy rule interpolation and extrapolation has been proposed recently, allowing the observations which directly relate to the conclusion to be inferred or interpolated from the known antecedents and conclusion. As such, it significantly extends the existing fuzzy rule interpolation techniques. However, the current idea has only been implemented via the use of the scale and move transformation-based fuzzy interpolation method, which utilise analogical reasoning mechanisms. In order to strengthen the versatility and feasibility of backward fuzzy interpolative reasoning, in this paper, an alternative a-cut-based interpolation method is proposed. Two numerical examples and comparative studies are provided in order to demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed work.

У даній роботі розглянута задача нечіткого логічного висновку для прийняття рішень в задачах підбору контингенту студентів виходячи з вимог потенційних роботодавців, що дозволяє зменшити час на обробку інформації про кандидатів на конкретну посаду.
This paper considers the problem of the fuzzy logic inference in order to support the decision making procedure of students’ selection based on the requirements of the potential employers. This approach allows reducing the time spent on the processing of the information about candidates for a certain position. The fuzzy characteristics of the input data set are implemented, the set of fuzzy logic inference rules is defined, the algorithm of fuzzy logic inference, which allows selecting students that better suite for a certain competence, is outlined. For the example we have considered the problem of selection of the best candidate for the position “Junior Front-End Developer” among the set of four sample candidates. By using the set of required skills in the field of front-end web development, we have applied the proposed approach to estimate the scores of such skills for each candidate in order to pick the candidates with the best score.

The essay begins with the “imperial intrusions” into Native Peoples’ cultural spaces and the eighteenth-century (re-)peopling of the American colonies. It discusses the caesura and new patterns from the Revolution to industrialization. It emphasizes migrant agency and decision-making in the frame of Europe’s societies-economies of origin. The arriving, fully socialized men and women form ethnocultural groups with fuzzy borders and acculturate according to gender and class but face racialization, demands for Anglo-conformity, and “melting pot”–discourses. It is argued that they form a “transnational America.” The policy of “closed doors,” the Great Depression, and World War I and II (1917–1945) disrupt the Atlantic migration system. After a brief resurgence of immigration of “displaced persons” from Europe, the system ends in the mid-1950s. Continuing migratory connections do not assume the proportion of a migration system. In conclusion, the scholarship on European immigrants is critically evaluated.

In just a few years, the magnetic bar-code secreted beneath the world’s oceans had provided detailed intelligence on the motions of the plates. When combined with other data from the sea floor, this allowed geophysicists to reconstruct the history of entire ocean basins following the rifting of Pangea. Some folk, however, are never happy, and ‘glass-half-empty’ types might well have complained that, impressive as all this was, it accounted for less than 200 million of the 4500 million years of Earth history, i.e. just 4%. What about that other 96%? Did plate tectonics operate through part or all of this long history and, in any case, how could you ever know, since the evidence had all been shredded by the closure of earlier oceans? There was hope: the same process that had so conveniently sequestered the recent history of the plates in the sea floor had also been at work throughout much of earlier geological time, recording the story in rocks onshore. By comparison with the high-definition picture of plate motions offered by bar-codes and fracture zones, this recording was monochrome, fuzzy, and incomplete. Yet, by the mid-1950s, it had already provided conclusive evidence that continents were truly mobile. Curiously, hardly anyone noticed.

In this paper, a novel fuzzy gain-scheduling output feedback control method is presented for T-S fuzzy systems subject to actuator saturation. To deal with saturation nonlinearity, the dead-zone function of control input is treated as an additional controller input. With the help of set conclusion condition, the controller can be synthesised based on fuzzy Lyapunov functions to guarantee the exponential stability of the closed-loop system in a larger region and a better L2 gain performance. Moreover, the full block S-procedure, which is widely used in robust control theory, is introduced to relax the synthesis conditions for T-S fuzzy systems to reduce the conservatism caused by quadratic terms in the conditions. Finally, a numerical example is provided to illustrates the effectiveness of the proposed control method.

From an industry and organization point of view, this paper considers the assembly systems with one assembler and multi-manufacturer under a revenue-sharing contract in a fuzzy environment which will contribute new insights to the engineering management. Market demand and assembler’s assemble capacity are characterized as fuzzy variables, respectively. Game theory is used to analyze the behavior of the members in the assembly systems. Both non-cooperative game and cooperative game models between the assembler and manufacturers are constructed. The coalition optimal solution of cooperative game model is obtained. The property of the contract is proved. Finally, the two kinds of settings are compared. The conclusion proposed is convenient to refer by the decision maker in engineering management.

In this paper is shown the efficiency of the new Soft Computing technology application at different diagnosing stages of aviation gas turbine engine (GTE) technical condition with using Fuzzy Logic and Neural Networks methods, when the flight information has property of a fuzzy, limitation and uncertainty. On the fuzzy statistical data basis and with high accuracy is made the training of Fuzzy Multiple Linear and Non-Linear models (Fuzzy Regression Equations). Thus for GTE technical condition more adequate model making are analysed dynamics of skewness and kurtosis coefficients’ changes. Researches of skewness and kurtosis coefficients values’ changes show that, distributions of GTE work parameters have fuzzy character. Hence consideration of fuzzy skewness and kurtosis coefficients is expedient. Investigation of the basic characteristics changes’ dynamics of GTE work parameters allows to draw conclusion on necessity of the Fuzzy Statistical Analysis at preliminary identification of the engines’ technical condition. Researches of correlation coefficients values’ changes shows also on their fuzzy character. Therefore for models choice the application of the Fuzzy Correlation Analysis results is offered. For checking of models adequacy is considered the Fuzzy Multiple Correlation Coefficient of Fuzzy Multiple Regression. With a view of completeness of GTE technical condition diagnosing in this paper are considered Fuzzy Thermodynamic Models. As output parameter of these models the outlet gas temperature of gas turbine (turbine exhaust gas temperature -EGT) expediency is considered. In view of limitation of controllable parameters’ structure are used also semiempirical models. The developed GTE condition monitoring system provides stage-by-stage estimation of engine technical conditions. As application of the given technique the estimation of the new operating aviation engine temperature condition was made.

The objective of this paper was to implement a novel controller called “wavelet-based time-frequency control” (WFXLMS) in a computer simulation of a FES system with six degrees-of-freedom and compare its dynamic stability and active power consumption with the following conventional controllers: PID and fuzzy-logic. Specifically, all three controllers were applied to a FES system operating at 100,000 rpm, and the amplitude of vibration, rate of convergence, and current draw were compared. As of writing this paper, the PID and fuzzy-logic controllers have converged but the WFXLMS controller has not. The parameter values for the WFXLMS controller need further tweaking for a more comprehensive analysis. Despite this setback, both the fuzzy-logic and PID controllers did demonstrate convergence at 100,000 rpm. The fuzzy-logic converged immediately and the PID converged around 0.8 seconds. The PID demonstrated a periodic motion about the z axis while the fuzzy-logic settled at a constant displacement. Finally, the PID controller had a smaller maximum and average current draw over the fuzzy-logic. In conclusion, the PID controller provided sufficient control of the system with the least amount of current draw, but the fuzzy-logic controller provided the steadiest response.

In this paper is shown that the probability-statistic methods application, especially at the early stage of the aviation gas turbine engine (GTE) technical condition diagnosing, when the flight information has property of the fuzzy, limitation and uncertainty is unfounded. Hence is considered the efficiency of application of new technology Soft Computing at these diagnosing stages with the using of the Fuzzy Logic and Neural Networks methods. Training with high accuracy of fuzzy multiple linear and non-linear models (fuzzy regression equations) which received on the statistical fuzzy data basis is made. Thus for GTE technical condition more adequate model making are analysed dynamics of skewness and kurtosis coefficients’ changes. Researches of skewness and kurtosis coefficients values’ changes show that, distributions of GTE work parameters have fuzzy character. Hence consideration of fuzzy skewness and kurtosis coefficients is expedient. Investigation of the basic characteristics changes’ dynamics of GTE work parameters allows to draw conclusion on necessity of the Fuzzy Statistical Analysis at preliminary identification of the engines’ technical condition. Researches of correlation coefficients values’ changes shows also on their fuzzy character. Therefore for models choice the application of the Fuzzy Correlation Analysis results is offered. At the information sufficiency is offered to use recurrent algorithm of aviation GTE technical condition identification (Hard Computing technology is used) on measurements of input and output parameters of the multiple linear and non-linear generalised models at presence of noise measured (the new recursive Least Squares Method (LSM)). The developed GTE condition monitoring system provides stage-by-stage estimation of engine technical conditions. As application of the given technique the estimation of the new operating aviation engine D-30KU-154 technical condition was made.

Анотація:
The article discusses the theory and methods of simulation training, its significance in the context of training specialists for areas where the lack of primary qualification is critical. The most widespread hardware and software solutions for the organization welders' simulation training that use VR- and AR- technologies have been analyzed. A review of the technological infrastructure and software tools for the virtual teaching-and-production laboratory of electric welding has been made on the example of the achievements of Fronius, MIMBUS, Seabery. The features of creating a virtual simulation of the welding process using modern equipment based on studies of the behavioral reactions of the welder have been shown. It is found the simulators allow not only training, but also one can build neuro-fuzzy logic and design automated and robotized welding systems. The functioning peculiarities of welding's simulators with AR have been revealed. It is shown they make it possible to ensure the forming basic qualities of a future specialist, such as concentration, accuracy and agility. The psychological and technical aspects of the coaching programs for the training and retraining of qualified welders have been illustrated. The conclusions about the significant advantages of VR- and AR-technologies in comparison with traditional ones have been made. Possible directions of the development of simulation training for welders have been revealed. Among them the AR-technologies have been presented as such that gaining wide popularity as allow to realize the idea of mass training in basic professional skills.
