The article is devoted to the study of the express delivery market in Ukraine. The subject of the study is courier and postal services that provide express delivery services. Based on the study of statistical indicators, a conclusion was made on the state of development of Ukraine's economy in 2020 and analysis of data from the National Bank of Ukraine, the International Monetary Fund, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine analyzed forecast indicators for Ukraine's economy in 2021-2023. negative trends in the economy of Ukraine, the e-commerce market continues to grow rapidly as an alternative to self-employment in quarantine. The structure of the e-commerce market is studied, the model of the e-commerce market in Ukraine in 2019-2020 is built. The conclusion about emergence of a new niche in the market - food delivery is made. In order to analyze the express delivery market in Ukraine, a PEST analysis was conducted by political, economic, social and technological categories. The volume of the express delivery market in 2020 is studied. The growth indicators of the express delivery market are analyzed. The environment of the express delivery market in Ukraine is studied. It is determined that the largest market operator is Nova Poshta, which is active in the e-commerce market and in the C2C and B2B categories. Another market share is occupied by Ukrposhta, Intime, Mist Express, Delivery, which are Nova Poshta's biggest competitors. The rapid entry of operators such as Justin and Allo Express indicates low barriers to entry into the express delivery market. Using the model of Porter's 5 forces, the main threats of the transportation market were analyzed, which allowed to identify such threats as - the development of its own delivery of online retailers, the dynamic development of the market and the entry of new operators; low entry barriers, frequent increase in tariffs for services without improving the quality or expanding the portfolio of services, the possibility of losing financial licenses for transfers.

One of the key issues of the current courier services in Malaysia is the efficiency of the courier itself. In today's competition, many factors have recognized that influence the efficiency of courier services. Hence, numbers of analytical models and formu las were introduced to measure the efficiency of courier service. This paper presents a practical approach for identifying the level of customers’ satisfaction towards courier service companies using Data Envelopment Analysis and four courier services whic h were Poslaju, City - Link Express , J&T Expres s, and GD Express in Hulu Terengganu were selected. Data Envelopment Analysis is chosen in this study because it can deal with complex connections between several inputs and outputs on performance evaluation iss ues. The input criteria considered in this study are assurance, empathy, reliability, responsiveness, tangibility, and price. Meanwhile, customer satisfaction is chosen as the output criteria. The results showed that Poslaju is ranked as the most efficient company, followed by City - Link Express in second and J&T Express as the third. The least efficiency score obtained makes GD Express as the last ranked courier service among these four courier services. Furthermore, the results are mainly influenced by the input criteria of assurance, empathy, and tangibility. This study helps the customer to select the most efficient courier service that can save their time, money, and energy. Finally, this study also can guide courier services to decide on which criteria are effective to be improved to enhance their business performance.

IPO listing threshold requirements are high, many enterprises have chosen to backdoor listing due to the restrictions of objective factors. In order to study the impact of backdoor listing on corporate financial performance, this paper adopts the method of case analysis and takes SF Express, a typical representative of express delivery industry, as an example to analyze whether SF Express has improved its financial performance after backdoor listing by using financial indicators such as debt paying ability, operating ability, profitability and growth ability. The results show that the overall financial performance of SF Express has been improved due to the sufficient capital and the expansion of business scope. The innovation of this paper lies in the horizontal short-term comparison of financial data of SF Express which is backdoor listed and DEPPON Express which is IPO listed in express industry. The research shows that backdoor listing is more conducive to the improvement of the financial performance of enterprises in the short term, providing certain reference value for enterprises that want to go public by backdoor listing in the express industry in the future. However, when deciding to go public, different enterprises should choose suitable listing schemes according to their own financial characteristics and understand the risk and the strategic goal of the enterprise’s own development.

Concomitant with rapid growth in recent years of Chinese e-commerce, an express delivery enterprise has developed and customer demand for express delivery services has increased. However, the Chinese express delivery industry has challenges such as low employee education level, sparse information availability, and high customer complaint rate. Big data technology provides a means for extracting customer opinions and studying customer behavior to realize greater overall customer satisfaction. In this study, the Chinese express delivery companies STO Express, YTO Express, ZTO Express, and YUNDA were selected as representatives and corresponding customer complaint information from the State Post Bureau analyzed. Sentiment analysis results indicate that companies can employ service decisions and develop measures to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.

In many urban areas, high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes have been provided to permit carpools and express buses to bypass congestion and offer a significant travel time advantage to commuters willing to share a ride or take transit. In many locations, however, HOV lanes are incomplete because of difficulties in securing right-of-way or funding. In other locations, because existing HOV lanes are underutilized, express buses are undersubscribed, or both, questions about their value arise. In this research it is shown how a PARAMICS microscopic traffic simulation model can be used to analyze proposed HOV lanes and their effects on express bus operation along an urban freeway corridor. A PARAMICS application is developed for Interstate 580 in the San Francisco Bay Area and used to test alternative ways of providing HOV lanes. The performance of the corridor is evaluated under plausible scenarios of traffic growth. Traffic simulation models are usually used for detailed operations management. The case study shows that traffic simulation can be an effective preliminary planning and scenario testing tool for evaluating the likely performance of an infrastructure or operations improvement on express bus service.

Abstract Attitude is an important resource for courtroom discourse to perform interpersonal functions. This paper analyzes the attitude expressions in the audio recording transcripts of eight trials and finds that: judgement is the most important way for courtroom participants to express attitude, followed by appreciation, while affect is the least frequently used. In the four criminal trials, the defendants express attitude most frequently and most negatively; in the four non-criminal trials, the plaintiffs express attitude most frequently and most negatively. In the debate section of criminal trials, judgements of legality and capacity and non-judgement invoking appreciations are employed by the prosecutors and defense attorneys to express attitude and debate each other. Non-judgement invoking appreciations are used not only to evaluate the evidence, but also to introduce substantial statements, serving as an intermediate link between the two.

Chinese is an isolated language. Prepositions are used to express grammatical meanings. Generally, prepositional phrases are composed of nouns. The whole prepositional phrases are mostly used as adverbials in front of sentence predicates. Uzbek is a cohesive language,affixes and auxiliaries are abundant. Affixes are placed after body parts of speech to express grammatical meanings such as location, time and object. There is no "preposition" classification in Uzbek, and most of them correspond to Chinese prepositions as "affixes or auxiliaries"

The form defects quality needs methods to express allowable deviations. We propose a new language for form defects expression. This one is based on natural mode shapes of a discretized feature. The finite element method is used in order to compute those modes. Then a basis of defects is built with the natural modes. A defect is projected in this basis and thus the coordinates (modal coefficient) represent it. Hence, tolerancing is possible, by limiting those coordinates. The methods proposed in the literature can be applied on elementary geometries or there is a need to express the set of possible features (explicit geometry). Our method is versatile because it is based on the discretization of the feature (implicit geometry). The modal tolerancing method proposes two ways to express specifications of form defects: (1) The spectral tolerancing shows the modal coordinates and their limits in a bar chart graph by drawing the limits. In this method, we can see the decomposition of the measured feature and express tolerancing on each coordinate. (2) When a specification needs to link coordinates, we propose the modal domain method. An inclusion test of the feature coordinates gives the result of the metrology. Those methods are presented in an example.

The implementation of China’s Belt and Road Initiative macro strategy has promoted exchanges and cooperation between China and Europe and countries along the route. The operation of the China Railway Express provides a new transportation platform for China–Europe trade. The sustainable development of the China Railway Express has a great significance in terms of promoting the growth of China–Europe trade and meeting the demand for freight in Asia and Europe. Its time-saving advantage over shipping and its economic advantage over air transport cannot be ignored. This paper is based on the discrete selection model of stochastic utility theory. The paper constructs a multi-logit model based on generalized cost functions, including economics, timeliness, reliability, convenience, safety, and environmental protection. To calculate the market share of the China Railway Express and China–Europe Shipping, the paper conducts a quantitative analysis of the market competitiveness of the China Railway Express. Then, the sensitivity analysis and elastic analysis are carried out on the China Railway Express freight rate, the Chinese road freight rate, the China Railway Express service fee, the China Railway Express travelling speed, the China Railway Express sending operation time at the departure station, the China Railway Express transportation time error, the China Railway Express transportation frequency, and the China Railway Express carbon emissions per unit. Finally, based on the analysis results, suggestions for promoting the sustainable development of the China Railway Express are given.

Modeling and finite element analysis functions were combined in Solid Edge to optimize gear parameters. Gear parameters optimization objective and procedure in different conditions were summed up. A complete Excel file was created. An involute gear parametric model was established which was interlinking with the Excel file. And the model’s accuracy would not alter with the diameter’s change. The wizard software for gear drive design and parameter optimization was developed on platform of Solid Edge by Visual Basic tool. This application can guide users getting the initial parameters and optimizing the parameters by the circling method of diminishing parameters, analyzing the precise gear root stress with Femap Express module, and diminishing them again. Users can get a gear model which has a smaller diameter and smaller module and satisfies strength demands.

Results of a study of an actual scientific and technical problem of determining the road safety level on road sections are presented in the paper. The aim of the study is to develop an express method for assessing road safety based on improving the method of the final accident rate by reducing the partial accident rate with the required accuracy of determining the safety level on public roads. The formalization of the relationship between the parameters of road traffic conditions has been carried out to study the level of safety on highways. Latent factors of the parameters of traffic conditions have been obtained on the basis of reduction of their aggregate by the method of principal components, taking into account the relationship of partial accident rates. This condition has allowed to develop analytical models for determining road safety for implementation in the practice of conducting a road safety audit. A method for identifying hazardous areas on highways has been proposed in the paper. It includes 11 parameters of road conditions out of 18 partial accident rates proposed in the prototype and regulatory documents of Ukraine. The adequacy of the model is determined by deviation values of the obtained data according to the prototype model from the values of the relative accident rate, which were 3.22 and 18.61, respectively. The proposed model reduces the deviation value by six times and affects the accuracy of determining the safety level. Experimental studies have been conducted on 79 km of highways (on 385 sectors with constant values of traffic conditions parameters). The results of a comparative analysis of the safety level for the prototype model and the developed model have been identical and shown a decrease in time and labor costs by 1.6 times without loss of accuracy. Thus, the developed methodology is recommended to be applied for determining the potential danger of road sections during an express analysis of the road safety or when conducting a safety audit at various stages of the road life cycle.

In this study, we investigate the effect of having express checkout lanes in retail stores. Express checkout lanes are being used to reduce expected wait time of small-buying customers, but their operational effect has not been analyzed so far. By comparing the wait time and the queue length of the two scenarios (universal checkout lanes only and separated checkout lanes with express counters) via simulation, we have found that the average wait time of the separated checkout lanes may not be shorter than that of universal checkout lanes. This may be due to that the effect of pooling servers decreases as the number of servers being pooled at each checkout set decreases. The queue length of express checkout lanes may be shorter than that of universal checkout lanes, but in some cases, the average queue length of separated checkout lanes is longer than that of universal checkout lanes, probably due to the effect of pooling servers. By conducting a computational study, we have observed that the effect of pooling servers decreases with customer arrival rate, decreases with regular checkout duration, and slightly increases with regular checkout time variability. These results give us an insight on when the express checkout counters can be effective in retail service operations.

A novel fault tree analysis theory is introduced for the ambiguity in complex systems. In the theory, the frequency grey number, which can express the events subjective ambiguity and objective ambiguity, is introduced to express the degree and probability that the components go wrong, dynamic envelope is applied to score the relation among components, and a new logic gate, Grey-gate, is advanced for expressing the effect of system reliability when the components go wrong. Finally, the theory is applied to analyze the fault effect of the system with software and hardware.
