Enterprises are both an emerging force in national reform and a major force in its future economic development. The professors in China and on abroad have do much research on enterprise development and put forward lots of valuable theories. P systems have been proposed for about 14 years, and its applications refer to numbers of areas. However, to investigate the survival and development of firms in the aspect of P systems is rarely. In this study, it makes analysis on the survival and development of small and medium-sized enterprises in an aspect of bionics, trying to find out the origin which makes the enterprise exuberant and everlasting. Have the enterprises compare to biological cells and construct a membrane framework in order to interpret an enterprise’s survival. At the same time it also highlights the irreplaceable role of enterprise DNA in the inheritance of the enterprise entity.

In the last few years, there is a significant growth in enterprise computing. In a typical large enterprise, more than thousands major application systems are logically interconnected to support enterprise’s business process. With the Internet technology grows explosively, most enterprise organizations adopt e-business strategy. Enterprises sometimes have to merge with other enterprise, reorganize their internal structure, and adopt new technologies and platform as they strive for competitive advantages. Enterprise application integration(EAI) provides enterprise with the option to leverage their existing systems and integrate them with new application to enhance functionality. Connector, which is a software component, is an essential layer in the EAI architecture. It provides connectivity between application and integration server.

Анотація:
Purpose – The behaviour of an enterprise (including ethical behaviour) strongly depends on the organization’s culture, values and beliefs. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate that organizational culture differs according to enterprise life cycle stage. Also the importance of the knowledge and awareness of these differences to enterprises’ management in order to be able to ensure enterprises’ success is argued. Design/methodology/approach – The case study research methodology was applied to explore the differences in the type of organizational culture as well as cultural strength depending on the enterprise’s life cycle stage. For the empirical testing, the author have selected Slovenia, one of the most developed European post-socialist transition countries. Findings – The research revealed differences in the types and strengths of enterprises’ organizational cultures and showed their dependence on the enterprises’ life cycle stages. Practical implications – Knowledge of differences in organizational culture in relation to an enterprise’s life cycle stage can significantly contribute to the behaviour of the enterprise’s key stakeholders by ensuring the long-term and sustainable success of the enterprise. Originality/value – The available literature does not provide similar research of differences in organizational culture in relation to an enterprise’s life cycle stages.

Enterprise wide integrated systems (ES) have been extensively procured in large organizations but much research fails to develop sociotechnically informed approaches that facilitate their implementation within complex organizational environments. In this paper the authors take a critically informed sociotechnical approach to power and improvisation in ES implementation. A review and synthesis of the pertinent literature, has led to the development of an analytical framework. This framework has been used to explore these concepts through a longitudinal, ethnographic study of an ES within a UK university. The contribution of this paper is a combined ‘circuits of power-improvisation' (CPI) framework which can facilitate a better understanding of ES implementation, sociotechnical theory and practice. Lessons learnt from the study may potentially be used to avoid some of the problems experienced due to the lack of recognition of the important role of power and improvisation in what may be misrepresented as planned strategic and deliberate organizational change.

Анотація:
Enterprise Information Systems, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, have been applied to integrate business processes within a global manufacturing enterprise. Recently, the inter-organizational systems are applied to assist in business data sharing and collaboration among enterprises based on the ERP application. However, their resource requirements and failure rates are high, and many enterprises are concerned about the Business-to-Business (B2B) effectiveness. In this research, the authors study global manufacturing enterprises, which developed their B2B systems with Taiwanese government sponsorship successfully. B2B effectiveness is evaluated through operational efficiency and profitability, while the business scale, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) induced supplier numbers, and application scope are considered influencing factors. After the evidence of multiple regression models and non-parametric statistic testing, the results show that only the application scope has a significant impact on profitability. The authors discuss these results from the perspective of enterprise integration as well as the system application scope and give suggestions to global manufacturing enterprises that want to apply inter-organizational systems.

Purpose – to investigate the problems of implementing a strategic planning system in industrial enterprises. Design/Method/Research approach. A theoretical approach based on the generalization of available research, analysis, and comparison to identify obstacles to the strategic planning implementation in industrial enterprises Findings. It is substantiated that the strategy development and strategic planning system implementation are necessary conditions for a modern industrial enterprise's functioning due to the dynamism and instability of the economic environment. One of the most important factors influencing the economic entity's efficiency is the awareness of the need to implement a strategic planning system because it allows the company to achieve dynamic development and strengthen its market position. It is argued that among the problems that affect the strategic planning implementation in industrial enterprises, external factors of influence, internal factors of the organization, and factors related to the enterprise owner's motives. Theoretical implications. The research's theoretical significance is to change the research focus in strategic planning from external factors to the enterprise owner's motives research. Practical implications. Owners and top managers can use the research to prevent problems with the enterprise's strategic planning implementation. Originality/Value. The paper's originality is because, for the first time, the relationship between the dynamics and problems of strategic planning system implementation in industrial enterprises is considered by the personal motives of the enterprises' owners. Research limitations/Future research. Further research forecasts further analyze the relationship between external and internal factors influencing strategic planning system implementation problems in industrial enterprises. Systems theory is one of the most important and well-used concept to explain the phenomenon in social sciences. Therefore, systems science plays an important role in explaining many of the phenomena in information systems research. Enterprise Systems (ES), Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) and Enterprise Architecture (EA) are three such emerging technologies in which systems’ perspective plays an important role in explaining the growth and development of these technologies. However, there is lack of literature that illustrates the development and the impact of systems science in these three technologies. This research carefully collects and studies 106 existing literature in the field of ES, EA and EIS, and a summary review of all the latest developments in the ways systems theory has been implemented to these three fields as well as different areas of these three technologies. In the conclusion, three future trends are concluded from the review.

The failure of IT/IS investment in a enterprise is one of the factors due to not having an IT/IS investment roadmap in a enterprise in the form of Enterprise Architecture. To get maximum results from an IT/IS investment in a enterprise, it is necessary to develop Enterprise Architecture. Enterprise architecture is a blueprint for a enterprise in achieving the enterprise's vision and mission supported by the implementation of IT/IS. So the selection of an Enterprise Architecture development framework is very important, one of the frameworks that can be used in the development of Enterprise Architecture such as the Zachman Framework. The Zachman Framework uses a 6-row and 6-column matrix to generate a blueprint. With the existence of the Enterprise Architecture blueprint, the enterprise can then use it for a roadmap for the development of applications needed by the enterprise, so that IT/IS technology investment in the enterprise can help the enterprise's business processes to achieve the vision and mission.

The article examines the features of the use of modern information systems and technologies in the activities of enterprises in order to increase the efficiency of management decisions. Based on a study of modern corporate practices in the global financial market, it is proved that corporate information systems for the management of medium and large enterprises is a necessary tool to minimize costs and increase profitability. The purpose of the article is to research the features of modern information systems and technologies using in activity of the enterprises for the purpose of increase of efficiency of administrative decisions. Information system as a set of organizational and technical means for storing and processing information in order to meet the information needs of users, which provides the collection, retrieval, processing and transmission of information. To solve the existing problems of corporate information systems development, an algorithm of actions to increase the level of informatization and efficiency of corporations, which will address current issues of corporate information systems, taking into account domestic legislation and features of corporate governance, increase efficiency and transparency of business processes and provide centralized support for management decisions. at all levels and in all areas of business companies. It is emphasized that one of the main properties of information systems is divisibility into subsystems, which has scales in terms of its development and operation. The stages of creation and functioning (life cycle) of information are specified. It is proved that the use of information systems is a prerequisite for a modern enterprise, that will promote the adoption of sound strategic management decisions aimed at increasing competition (capacity and strengthening the economic security of the enterprise. An effective area for improvement management of the enterprise is implemented modern information systems and technologic, which makes it possible to increase the speed,quality and reliability of collection, storage and information processing; significantly reduce management line staff of the enterprise, which there is preparation of information for the form management decisions; print in the right time management and administration line staff of the enterprise of high-quality other formation; timely and efficient analysis and forecasting of economic activity under receptions; make decisions quickly and efficiently at all levels of enterprise management.

Enterprise systems have become an integral part of an organization’s operations. However, they also pose many challenges to organizations from the perspective of implementation, user training, as well as use and acceptance. Without effective usage, enterprise systems may not be able to provide the strategic or competitive advantages that organizations desire. Therefore, organizations may consider gamification to enhance training, acceptance, and usage. We discuss the various ways in which enterprise system challenges can be addressed through the lens of gamification and present a framework for gamification of enterprise systems. The framework is comprised of basic principles and key design elements of gamification, as well as their application to enterprise systems. The specific principles of gamification include Challenge, Interactivity, Goal Orientation, Social Connectivity, Competition, Achievement, Reinforcement, and Fun Orientation. Design elements, such as points, levels, badges, leaderboards, progress bars, quests, and avatars, represent the application of these gamification principles, which can foster engagement with enterprise systems. The framework was validated by a group of experts. We also provide practical and theoretical implications, as well as suggestions for future research.

Enterprise systems (ESs) are customizable, integrated software applications designed to support core business processes. This paper reports research contrasting the relative effectiveness of two strategies for ES end-user training that differentially reflect the Sein, Bostrom, and Olfman (1999) hierarchical knowledge-level model. One strategy— procedural—involves training that targets the three lowest knowledge levels of the model (command-based, tool-procedural, and business-procedural); the other—tool-conceptual—involves training that also includes a higher knowledge level (tool-conceptual). A non-equivalent quasi-experimental design was used for groups of senior business students being trained to use an authentic ES. Performance measures were administered during training and ten days after training concluded. Both experiments demonstrated that training involving the tool-conceptual knowledge level leads to superior mental models, compared with training oriented toward lower knowledge levels, as expressed in the recollection and communication of ES concepts. Tool-conceptual knowledge-level training can be used to promote understanding and communication, and should be incorporated into training strategies for ES.

There are two different enterprise IS architectures, older application architecture and younger service oriented architecture. The application architecture its structural element is a classical web-based application can accept a partial or complex solution of enterprise IS. The first has got problems with data-process-communication integrity disturbing among IS applications. The second is convenient for large enterprises not for small and intermediate. Classical web-based applications are too inflexible to accepted necessary changes concerning a progress in the enterprise market-production environment.The service oriented architecture of IS can be based on enterprise web-services. Computerization of such small and flexible units can be given by classical web-services. There is constructed a new web-based application that plays a structural unit role for service oriented architecture. This application consists of a sequence formed by enterprise web-services calling. Enterprise web-services can easily accept necessary changes concerning a progress in the enterprise market-production environment. That‘s why contemporary younger service oriented architecture seems to be more acceptable for any enterprise than older application architecture.

We investigate information systems (IS) projects as a liminal space ‘betwixt and between’ the status quo and the new environment, using a case study of the implementation of an enterprise system (ES). This liminal space provides a stabilizing platform whereupon the project team can develop new and potentially transformative IS. However, after a project team has completed its initial IS design for roll-out, this liminal space must be bridged to incorporate process-generated learning and new systems back into the organizational working environment. We demonstrate how this bridging involves negotiations that attempt to reconcile divergent perspectives by adopting a conciliatory or peacemaking attitude. As such, our analysis focuses on the IS project as a multi-phased process that includes the creation of a liminal space for the project team during development and on the negotiations that ensure the ES becomes a working IS in the post-implementation environment.

The enterprise clusters are many enterprises in the same region, which are centralized to produce the same mass products. In the context of globalization, the enterprise clusters are becoming an important force of the leading world economy. Based on investigating and analyzing for the enterprise clusters in south China, the local area networks of the enterprise clusters can be built by using multi-level distributed computer system. The CAD and MIS systems are integrated into the local area networks of the enterprise clusters so that the flexible manufacturing systems can gain manufacturing data from the integrated systems. So, the integrated systems greatly improve the productivity of the enterprise clusters. The CAD and MIS system integration model of intelligentization has been dwelt on in this paper.

Due to these elevated competitiveness and advanced computer technology, a number of new manufacturing and management strategies (e.g., Lean production, Just in time, Kaizen, Concurrent Engineering (CE), Cellular Manufacturing (CM), Agile manufacturing, Business process re-engineering (BPR), Agent-based systems (ABS), Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM), virtual manufacturing system have emerged for the innovation of manufacturing industries. The article examines the current issues of organizing marketing activities and the functioning of modern marketing systems at industrial enterprises. The main goal of marketing activity of industrial enterprises is determined. Based on this, the authors formulated the task of marketing industrial enterprises. The content of the enterprise's marketing activity is defined and all its modern components are described in detail. The structural approach to the economic description of the process of managing the marketing activity of an industrial enterprise is applied, its main stages are indicated. The article pays considerable attention to the description of the economic reasons that necessitate the introduction and use of modern methods and means of marketing. Also, the components and specific functional tasks that marketing activities must perform to ensure a sufficient level of competitiveness of domestic industrial enterprises are given. The stages of the formation of the marketing system and its management at the enterprise are disclosed. Separately, the authors substantiated the understanding that precisely the system (complex) approach to marketing management of an industrial enterprise involves the use of various economic tools in the management process. It has been specified which main marketing tools should be used in the work of industrial enterprises. The author paid considerable attention to the study of the main elements of the marketing management system of an industrial enterprise. The main features are determined and the content of the forms of manifestation of the main features of the formation of marketing systems at industrial enterprises in the modern conditions that have developed on the market have been investigated. A new tool - 3D-marketing is singled out as the latest tool of marketing activity of an industrial enterprise. The author cited the main areas of application of 3D marketing, the undeniable advantages of its use, the peculiarities of the impact on the consumer, as well as the characteristic features that distinguish it from traditional marketing tools. The author schematically described the organization of functioning of marketing systems at domestic industrial enterprises. The article also indicates the prospects for the development of marketing of domestic industrial enterprises.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to develop a model that can be used to predict which small to medium‐sized enterprises (SMEs) are more likely to become adopters of enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, SCM and e‐procurement).Design/methodology/approachDirect interviews were used to collect data from a random sample of SMEs located in the Northwest of England. Using logistic regression, 102 responses were analysed.FindingsThe results reveal that the factors influencing SMEs' adoption of enterprise systems are different from the factors influencing SMEs' adoption of other previously studied information systems (IS) innovations. SMEs were found to be more influenced by technological and organisational factors than environmental factors. Moreover, the results indicate that firms with a greater perceived relative advantage, a greater ability to experiment with these systems before adoption, greater top management support, greater organisational readiness and a larger size are predicted to become adopters of enterprise systems.Research limitations/implicationsAlthough this study focused on the factors that influence SMEs' adoption of a set of enterprise systems (i.e. ERP, CRM, SCM and e‐procurement), it fails to differentiate between factors that influence each of these systems.Practical implicationsThe model can be used to assist software vendors not only to develop marketing strategies that can target potential adopters, but also to develop strategies to increase the adoption of ES among SMEs.Originality/valueThe paper contributes to the continuing research in IS innovations adoption/diffusion in the small business context.

The purpose of the research. It is established that in order to enter new markets and increase the competitiveness of goods in the international market in the conditions of information economy and distribution of intangible assets for domestic enterprises, the role of integrated management systems is increasing. The purpose of the study is to analyze the challenges for Ukrainian enterprises in the times of European integration, which requires solving the problems related to the definition of an algorithm for the implementation of international quality standards and mechanisms for assessing the productivity of their use. Methodology. In this work a retrospective analysis of quality management systems at the enterprise is carried out, the results of which revealed the evolutionary components of the quality requirements and the structures of its implementation at the enterprise: input control of raw materials; production processes; international standards; environmental and social management; security of activity and information. Results. The basic world tendencies of economic development are revealed: increasing of global competition, growth of the sphere of services, acceleration of scientific and technological progress, internationalization of financial markets. Characteristics of the modern economy of Ukraine: resource structure of exports; a small component of intangible assets; static attitude to quality. The classification of intangible assets of the enterprise by assets and competencies as a basis for accelerating the process of obtaining the effect of economic activity. Thus, for the implementation of the strategy of entering the European markets, domestic enterprises need to activate the management of the formation of potential capabilities of the enterprise through the development of staff competencies for quality, management systems and negotiation activities to attract additional investments, as well as the adoption of quality standards. Based on the study of the evolution of quality management concepts at the enterprise, the process of integration of management systems is proposed. Integrated management tools (affinity, relationships, lead times): maximize the synergistic effect of integration. Practical meaning. It is established that the spread of integrated management systems will allow: consumers – to get the product with the maximum combination of price and quality; to business owners – to form a systematic attitude of staff to quality, to partners – to reduce the risks of implementation of agreements; to society – to obtain additional sources of funding by increasing export revenues from processing industries and improving environmental and safety performance. Prospects for further research. The direction for further research on the introduction of integrated management systems is proposed – the search for economic-mathematical models that optimally combine internal tangible assets and intangible assets that fall outside the competence of an individual enterprise.

Common to all commercial enterprises is the problem of violating the basics of the formation of intellectual activity. The same problem of enterprises’ intellectual activities is quite relevant from a practical point of view. One of the useful tools, the use of which makes it possible to translate the issues of intellectual activities, is the formation of a business model. In the process of the study reported here, a meaningful part of the intellectual business model of an enterprise was proposed and the corresponding concept was introduced. The main groups of indicators for assessing the level of intellectual activities of the business model of an enterprise were combined into the following clusters: qualifications (Q), skills (S), possibilities (V). The level of an enterprise's intellectual activities was assessed using an empirical and graphical method since the selected assessment indicators in their content can only accept point scores. The proposed methodology for forming a radar system to determine the format of business models for intellectual activity of trading enterprises is based on the definition of clusters of indicators to assess the level of an enterprise’s intellectual activities using an integral indicator. According to the radar system, the formats of enterprises' intellectual activities have been determined: innovative, integrated, rational, content-oriented, conducting. It was investigated that the potential for increasing the level of intellectual activity of the integrated format of the business model of an enterprise is about 14 %. The conclusion about the level of the enterprise's intellectual activities is made on the basis of determining the scale of values of expert assessments. Validation of the assessment of the level of intellectual activity of an enterprise was carried out separately for each format for all proposed clusters of assessment indicators. Based on the results of testing, recommendations have been compiled for choosing the format of a business model for the studied enterprises.

Enterprises with good long-term free cash flow data often have better prospects than enterprises with good net profit but unstable free cash flow for a long time, and free cash flow prediction is an important part of evaluating the enterprise value of an enterprise. By determining the fitness function, algorithm formula, population, and Backpropagation (BP) neural network design, a BP neural network model based on the improved genetic algorithm is proposed to predict the free cash flow of enterprises. Taking the free cash flow data of G Company from 1 January 2019 to 30 June 2019 as an example, after evaluating the most neurons and the best population, analyzing the relative errors and comparing the average relative errors of different prediction models, the results show that the model has better prediction accuracy. Cash flow forecasting can effectively improve decision making on productions and operations and the investment financing of enterprises, and has important practical significance for studying enterprise fund management.

Purpose. The aim of this article is to research the features of use of modern information systems and technologies in activity of the enterprises for increase of efficiency of administrative decisions. Methodology of research. The methodological basis of the study was scientific methods of cognition based on a systematic approach to solving problems. To achieve this goal and obtain the results of the study different general and special scientific research methods are used: dialectical; monographic (in processing scientific publications); system analysis (in the study of the current state of use of information systems and technologies in the management of the enterprise); abstract and logical (to substantiate the key characteristics of modern information systems and technologies); comprehensive analysis (in forming conclusions and proposals for solving tasks) and others. Findings. The analysis of the current state of use of information systems and technologies in the management of the enterprise is carried out. It is established that one of the effective directions of improving the management of the enterprise is the development and implementation of modern information systems and technologies. The tasks performed by information systems and technologies in managerial activity are revealed. The basic principles and conditions of implementation of information systems and technologies at the enterprise are analysed. The main factors influencing the implementation of information systems and technologies at the enterprise are identified. The main functional subsystems that can be contained in the information system of the enterprise are presented. Originality. The study of the peculiarities of the introduction and use of modern information systems and technologies in the activities of enterprises to improve the efficiency of management decisions was further developed. Practical value.The obtained results of the study will help to timely and efficient analysis and forecasting of economic activity of the enterprise. In order to supervise and forewarn the sustainable operation ability of enterprises efficiently and accurately, this paper proposes an enterprise financial management and forecasting system based on SaaS model. First of all, in order to continue to effectively predict and analyze the enterprise finance, first analyze and extract the report data in the financial system. Then, by building a deep belief network model to predict the enterprise financial data, in order to reduce the cost of enterprises, the financial system designed in this paper chooses the cloud technology service framework based on SaaS model. Finally, in order to analyze the risk identification performance of the financial management and prediction system in this paper, the risk sample data of an enterprise’s financial system is selected for simulation test. The results show that the correct rate of risk identification of the financial management system designed in this paper is higher than other comparison systems, which speeds up the speed of risk identification of the financial information management system, and has certain practical application value.

The aim of this study is to examine whether each of the variables (level of competition, age of enterprise, type of sector, quality of ownership, and size of enterprise) has an impact on adopting administrative accounting practices measured by each of (cost systems, budget systems, performance assessment systems) within small and middle sized industrial enterprises in Dubai, in addition to determining whether enterprises are facing difficulties in applying administrative accounting practices. The population of the study represents all small and middle sized industrial enterprises in Dubai. To achieve the study objectives, a questionnaire is designed and distributed on the study sample which consists of (160) accountants and financial mangers working at small and middle sized enterprises in Dubai. The researcher could retrieve (127) responses and (32) responses have been disregarded; thus, the final study sample is represented by (95) responses. For the purpose of the study, the analytical descriptive approach is also employed. Furthermore, to test the study hypothesis, multiple regression model and One Sample T- test are used. The study findings reveal that small and middle sized enterprises in Dubai apply all administrative accounting practices represented by each of (cost systems, budget systems, performance assessment systems). As well, there is an impact of each of the variables (level of competition, age of enterprise, type of sector, quality of ownership, and size of enterprise) on adopting administrative accounting practices measured by each of (cost systems, budget systems, performance assessment systems). Moreover, the study finds that small and middle sized industrial enterprises in Dubai face difficulties in adopting administrative accounting practices but in a slight degree in which that the arithmetical average value is very close to the default average value.
