The article is devoted to the formation of controlling at the machine-building enterprises of Russia. The author’s interpretation of the concept of controlling as management of an enterprise is given. Controlling allows to provide an organizational and information basis for making managerial decisions aimed at the effective development of an enterprise in the conditions of dynamically changing factors of the external and internal environment. The necessity of introduction of controlling at machine-building enterprises is justified; the effects of controlling are given. Finally, methods for assessing the economic feasibility of introducing controlling at machine-building enterprises are given.

Most of the countries of the world strive to be committed to the Concept of Sustainable Development and develop their own national system for monitoring progress towards the implementation of the 17 global Sustainable Development Goals. In most cases, implementation is ensured through the national projects that have an infrastructure nature. At the same time, it is very appropriate to use the achievements of business organizations, primarily industrial enterprises, which include environmental and social goals as providing direct production activities. These goals and, accordingly, the indicators that evaluate them, reflect the process activity of the enterprise. The study shows the role of the project activity of the enterprise, which ensures the successful implementation of process goals within the functional direction (by the example of the environmental and social spheres of ensuring the production process of the enterprise). As a result of the analysis of the industrial enterprises standard reporting, indicators that meet the parameters of sustainable development approved in the Russian Federation, are identified. Recommendations are given for expanding the sustainable development goals that an industrial enterprise can meet in the framework of ensuring its production activities.

Introduction. The study found that in modern conditions, the development of scientific and methodological approach to assessing the risks of financial and economic activities in managing the competitiveness of machine-building enterprises is an urgent problem, the solution of which will increase the competitiveness of machine-building enterprises. The purpose of the paper is to develop a scientific and methodological approach to assessing the risks of financial and economic activities in managing the competitiveness of the machine-building enterprise. Results. Accounting for risks during the implementation of the production project for the production of machine-building products is one of the modern tools that accompany the process of effective use of key competencies to increase the competitiveness of machine-building enterprises. A scientific and methodological approach to assessing the risks of financial and economic activities in managing the competitiveness of the machine-building enterprise is proposed. Forecasting possible losses from the implementation of measures of the production project for the production of machine-building products will contribute to the effective accounting of risk factors and increase the level of economic stability during the implementation of the production project. Conclusions. The analysis of scientific publications on risk management at the enterprise and the development of scientific and methodological approach to risk assessment of financial and economic activities of machine-building enterprises. A scientific and methodological approach to assessing the risks of financial and economic activities in managing the competitiveness of the machine-building enterprise is proposed. Мeasures for timely forecasting and effective accounting of the probability of occurrence of risk factors will help maintain and increase the competitive advantages of the production project for the production of finished products of machine-building enterprises.

Анотація:
The paper considers the risk identification of inefficiency concerning 51 Ukrainian joint-stock companies of machine building in 2012–2017. The value added at factor cost (VA) is determined as the resulting indicator of production efficiency, which is a source of income of various social groups, so it contributes to combined efforts. To support advanced production and management technologies, rather than an extensive market capture, the multiplicative model of VA has been suggested with the VA share in output to assess the quality processes within the enterprise. Economic analysis of the annual public financial statements and the structural statistics were conducted to study proportion between the cost elements in sum of expenses with link to profit in net turnover for the main operating activity. As a result the models of two types of risk coefficient have been proposed. It has been verified by statistical analysis. Data were checked on submission to normal distribution law by Shapiro – Wilk test and homogeneity by coefficient of variation. With the help of nonparametric analysis of variance by Kruskal – Wallis test and Spearman rank correlation coefficients; it has been proved that risk groups differ from other enterprises and from each other statistically significantly. We conclude that 37% of the sample enterprises are risky; a third of this is the large and medium-sized companies. Advantages of the method in comparison with Ward clusterization were shown. When making decisions about resource allocation, it should be confirmed that the enterprise is risk-free according to algorithms provided. To improve situation it needs to apply sustainable development concept.

Machine-building enterprises have been proven to play the main role in ensuring the sustainable development of Ukraine’s machine-building industry, as the latter is the main component of Ukraine’s economic complex. The state and prospects of the further development of machine-building enterprises is an important research area dealing with the current transformation processes in Ukraine, as implementing innovations at machine-building enterprises is problematic due to the difficult financial and economic situation in the country. It is concluded that the scientific and methodological approach to assessing the sustainable development of machine-building enterprises covers the full range of the constantly changing financial and economic information, and takes into account all the possibilities for enterprise development, as the current situation, being characterized by rapid economic changes at machine-building enterprises, requires new methodological approaches to its studying. The suggested scientific and methodological approach should become that very tool in the strategic management system of an enterprise, which would take into account the existing objectives and, relying on the analysis of financial and economic situation and statistics data on the sustainable development of the enterprise, would allow timely adjustment of the entire management activity, as the main purpose of the approach is to identify, at the earliest possible time, the difference between the actual results of the sustainable development of enterprises and the forecasted ones; to identify the reasons that caused this difference; to suggest actions to properly adjust particular areas of financial and economic activity in order to normalize them and enhance the general enterprise development.

The directions of increasing business activity of enterprise are considered, which is achieved by a certain set of measures: acceleration of scientific, technical and organizational progress – by increasing the technical and technological level of production, organizational control systems, rapid updating of equipment; improvement of organizational structure – by reviewing the powers of each employee of the enterprise; improvement of production structure, in particular, increase of load and turnover coefficients – by increasing the volume of products; increasing the competitiveness of products and services – by improving the quality of goods produced and services provided; development and improvement of foreign trade of this enterprise – through establishing relations with neighboring countries. Оценка эффективности стратегии развития на машиностроительном предприятии является важным аспектом в экономике предприятия и необходима для обратной связи с целью корректировки стратегии. Целью магистерской диссертации является развитие методических основ оценки эффективности стратегии развития. В работе рассматривается теоретические и методические вопросы исследования оценки эффективности стратегии развития. В качестве источников использовалась научно-исследовательская и методическая литература, нормативно-правовые акты и финансовые отчетности организаций в открытом доступе. В магистерской диссертации была предложена методика оценки эффективности стратегии развития машиностроительного предприятия, дополненная коэффициентами, позволяющими проводить сравнительный анализ стратегий, и коэффициентами результативности деятельности, которые связывают направления стратегии развития с экономическими показателями, что позволяет предприятиям проводить комплексный анализ своей стратегии развития, а также корректировать ее в соответствии с результатами оценки.
Effectiveness evaluation of the development strategy at a machine-building enterprise is an important aspect in the economy of enterprise and necessary for feedback to adjust the strategy. The purpose of the master's thesis is to develop methodological foundations for effectiveness evaluation of the development strategy. The paper deals with the theoretical and methodological issues of the study of effectiveness evaluation of development strategy. Research and methodological literature, regulatory legal acts and financial statements of organizations in the public domain were used as sources. The master's thesis proposed a methodology for evaluating the effectiveness of the development strategy of a machine-building enterprise, supplemented by coefficients that allow to make comparative analysis of strategies and performance coefficients that link the directions of the development strategy with economic indicators, which allows enterprises to conduct a comprehensive analysis of their development strategy, as well as adjust it in accordance with the results of the assessment.

A system for managing internal reserves for reducing the cost of production is formed and the stages and principles of its construction are given. A program of measures to manage internal reserves to reduce the cost of machine-building products and an algorithm for identifying them have been developed. Technologies of production of metal materials are considered: metallurgical production of ferrous and non-ferrous metals; powder metallurgy; technologies of production of non-metallic materials: polymers, glass, graphite; technologies of production of composite materials, including semi-finished products-prepregs, premixes. Part II is devoted to methods for studying the properties of materials. Metal materials, technologies of their hardening by thermal, chemical-thermal treatment, and plastic deformation are considered. The features of organic and inorganic nonmetallic materials, as well as the possibility of changing their properties, are given. Composite materials are widely covered, and the areas of their rational application are shown. Revised chapter 14, which deals with intelligent materials. Meets the requirements of the federal state educational standards of higher education of the latest generation. For bachelors and undergraduates studying in groups of training areas 15.00.00 "Mechanical Engineering" and 22.00.00 "Materials Technologies". It can be used for training graduate students of engineering specialties, as well as for advanced training of engineering and technical workers of machine-building enterprises.

The purpose of this chapter is to investigate how such factors as corporate social responsibility, individual and organizational level factors predict the innovation climate. The survey was conducted in Estonian, Chinese, Japanese, Russian and Slovakian electric-electronic machine, retail store and machine-building enterprises. Linear regression analysis was done in order to analyze connections between the innovation climate, corporate social responsibility, individual and organizational level factors. The total number of respondents was 4632. The results of an empirical study show that both facets of corporate social responsibility - the firm performance concerning social issues and the firm respects the interests of agents, individual and organizational level factors predict the innovation climate, but it differs according to different countries. The 5 models developed explain how corporate social responsibility, individual and organizational level factors predict the innovation climate in Estonian, Chinese, Japanese, Russian and Slovakian electric-electronic machine, retail store and machine-building enterprises.

Environmental protection in companies gains higher importance as the demand for information on environmental performance is rewarded by society, market and policy makers. Additive environmental technologies encounter increasing ecological and economical borders. Production-integrated measures for environmental protection are much more efficient and sustainable. Such measures extend over inner enterprise and enterprise spanning order processing and value chains. They open up numerous possibilities for product and process innovation by combining ecological and economical potentials. The research project OPUS provides solutions for the organization of product-development and production-processes in and between companies under environmental aspects. Parts of those solutions are information technologies and information systems that support the processes within a company and over the entire logistical network. The development of methods, models and prototypes within the project is based on the processes of construction, process planning, production planning and control, production scheduling, balancing and controlling and intercompany environmental management. Results were applied, evaluated and optimised in different companies out of the branches of machine building, aircraft building, chemical industry, electronic industry and software development for industrial fields of application.

Classification method is an important technique used in machine learning for predictive analytics. Classification enables business to predict future trends and behaviors of an enterprise with the help of their past data. Classification is a supervised learning model, which is built in twostep process, first building the classification model and second predicting the outcome for unknown data. This chapter describes various classification models by learning mechanisms and categorizes them into different statistical, probabilistic, and heuristic methods, and explains them with example dataset. It also compares these models and their efficiencies with model evaluation techniques and briefs some blended classification models. The goal of this chapter is to provide a comprehensive review of different classification techniques and give a quick refresher on classification models in big data analytics. The comparison of various classification models helps the readers to quickly decide which classification model to choose for the given business scenario.

The analysis of occupational morbidity at the enterprises of the machine-building industry of the region is carried out. In recent years, there has been a sharp decrease in occupational diseases at machine-building enterprises. So, in 2015, 187 cases were established, which amounted to 68.2% of all established cases, in 2020 – only 2 cases (6.3%). The level of occupational morbidity does not reflect the true situation. Incomplete identification of patients with occupational pathology is associated with the negative attitude of the employer to the establishment of occupational diseases in employees, poor-quality certification of workplaces. Key words: occupational diseases, risk factors, working conditions, structure.
