Therefore, colleges and universities are positively arranging employment instruction work for college students, hoping to provide effective employment guidance for them to help them to better achieve employment. while in the ideas of undergraduates' employment and career choice, they are also facing a lot of confusion and contradiction. Consequently, it is necessary to strengthen ideological and political education in the employment guidance. This paper introduces the relationship between the university students' employment guidance and ideological and political education, analyzes the current situation of their ideological and political education in employment guidance, and explores the countermeasures to achieve effective ideological and political education in the employment guidance of college students.</p>

With the social development and deepening reform on higher education system in China, the graduate employment have become a social hot and difficult spot increasingly, and it brings series of challenges to the employment guidance. In order to meet the challenge, this thesis suggests a whole-process employment guidance system to innovate the current guidance. It starts from China's actual conditions and reality and draws lessons from the western countries' theoretical fruit on vocational guidance, then puts forward a whole-process employment guidance mode which is guided with the vocational development theory, is launched facing whole college students and is run through the university stage.

Анотація:
Aiming at the problem of low confidence in the effectiveness evaluation method of traditional college students’ employment guidance strategy, an effectiveness evaluation method of college students’ employment guidance strategy based on data mining is designed. The effectiveness evaluation index system of college students’ employment guidance strategy is constructed. The system is divided into three levels: target level, criterion level and index level, and the analytic hierarchy process is used to give weight to each index. According to the importance of the index, the effectiveness of college students’ employment guidance strategy is evaluated based on data mining. The experimental results show that the confidence of the designed evaluation method is significantly higher than that of the control group, which can solve the problem of low confidence of the effectiveness evaluation method of traditional college students’ employment guidance strategies.

In the past 20 years, the number of college graduates in China has increased rapidly. The employment situation of many college graduates is not optimistic because of the shortage of professional skills and fierce competition. Although many colleges and universities now have the courses of career planning and employment guidance, to give college students the psychological guidance of employment , vocational training and planning, to help college students improve their competitiveness in employment. However, these guidance can help students to carry out career planning, targeted learning and practice, but in practice, because of different grades, different periods of students' personal needs, psychological characteristics, employer needs and so on, the original guidance can not meet the needs of students' employment competitiveness and growth, talent. Based on this, this paper discusses how to carry out the guidance of career planning for college students more effectively from the perspective of effectiveness and whole process.

The number of college graduates in China has dramatically risen in recent years, the employment structural contradiction is evident, and the pressure on employment is gradually increasing. How to improve the employment rate of graduates and the quality of employment is an important issue at present. In order to fundamentally solve the employment problem, there are some other ways besides changing the talent cultivation mode of colleges and universities, such as carrying out career guidance work. At present, the career guidance model in China’s universities is still limited to the traditionalized guidance model, which is too consistent. In order to meet the needs of the development of the market economy and the development of students’ individuality, it is necessary to study the construction of a personalized career guidance model. This study first analyzes the current situation of career guidance work in China’s colleges and universities and puts forward the importance and necessity of building a personalized career guidance model. Subsequently, based on improved correlation analysis, this research provides a method for evaluating employee knowledge and career planning. The experimental results suggest that the proposed method can accurately assess the impact of job counseling and establish the groundwork for future job counseling and career planning work in colleges and universities.

This article presents results of the research on the professional orientation and employment of blind graduates of schools in six regions of the Russian Federation specialising in teaching children with visual impairments. Also analysis related to the situation with the employment of people with visual disabilities are given. This analysis are based on information from Russian Association Of The Blind. Reasons of low rates of the employment of young people with disabilities are shown. The dependence of the awareness of the choice of the profession by the blind during the period of school education on specifics of the organisation of vocational guidance work for children with visual impairments, as well as on the level of maturity of the personality and personal qualities of students is presented. The ways of overcoming the reasons negatively affecting the results of career guidance work and the employment of graduates of special schools are indicated. Examples of effective career guidance work and successful employment of young people with visual deprivation are given. The article is Amed at researchers involved in education of children with visual disabilities, organisers of career guidance work, tiflopedagogs and parents who have blind children.

Contemporary university education develops professional identity and builds customized academic trajectories. Career guidance technologies provide professional self-awareness and personality professionalization. At university, career guidance work is an integral part of continuous professional development of a future specialist. It covers pre-university education, higher professional education, and employment assistance. The present research featured the career guidance work conducted at the Transbaikal State University. The analysis showed that the current system lacks innovations, cannot solve the employment problem, and does not provide conditions for successful professional identity. The article introduces a set of project conditions of customized career guidance work with 1) applicants, in order to promote a conscious career choice; 2) students, to support their professional competencies and identity; 3) graduates, to facilitate their employment. The proposed comprehensive approach to career guidance will allow the university to improve the academic process and to work with the community from secondary school to the onset of professional activity.

Employment guidance and service work are an important part of ideological and political education in colleges and universities. Through the comparison of the employment rate, employment destination and employment structure of the 2016-2021 graduates of the School of Education Science of Zhaoqing University, it is found that there are problems in the employment work, such as process management, daily care services, and the lack of effective curriculum. In order to adapt to the new normal of employment in the context of the normalization of the epidemic, it is necessary to innovate working methods: implement practical process management, establish a "before-during-after" management system; do practical daily service work, build "special personnel on duty, full service" system; play an important role in curriculum guidance, and build a "three-course mutual aid" system.

In many instances, employers have an obligation to conduct criminal background checks on their applicants to ensure that the public that comes into contact with these employees shall not be harmed. In other instances, these criminal background checks are unnecessary as they prove to be of little relevance, yet they have the effect of causing a disparate impact within certain Title VII-protected classes, including Black Americans and Hispanics. To resolve this disparate impact, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”) has set forth non-biding guidance, proposing an assessment of “Green Factors” that employers should consider before denying an ex-convict employment. In following this guidance, the EEOC aims to create equal employment opportunities for all job applicants including those with criminal histories. While this guidance and these Green factors play a large role in furthering societal benefits, many employers have raised objections to the recent EEOC guidance. Employers argue that the guidance creates a “catch-22,” forcing the employer to choose between being liable for negligent hiring and being liable for violating Title VII. Because the EEOC guidance furthers fundamental societal interests, it should remain in effect. Nevertheless, the guidance must be amended in order to clarify its ambiguous language concerning “business necessity,” which will then resolve the catch-22 conflict that employers currently experience.

This study analyses the job expectations found in early childhood education students as well as the main personal and academic aspects that influence their training during the COVID-19 pandemic. A nonexperimental ex post facto study based on a descriptive, correlational and inferential approach is developed. A total of 168 students from the University of Seville (Spain) participated. The results show a moderate to high level of expected employability. However, salary expectations and how the university is perceived regarding employability reveal more negative data. Expectations are higher for men, first-year students and those from a high socioeconomic background. The results suggest the value of offering guidance to students according to their employment preferences, before and during their training, to avoid considering the university as the only educational institution available.

Employing facial recognition technology implicates anti-discrimination law under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act when used as a factor in employment decisions. The very technological breakthroughs that made facial recognition technology commercially viable—data compression and artificial intelligence— also contribute to making facial recognition technology discriminatory in its effect on members of classes protected by Title VII. This Article first explains how facial recognition technology works and its application in employee background checks. Then, it analyzes whether the use of facial recognition technology in background checks violates Title VII under the disparate impact theory of liability due to the known issue of skewed data sets and disproportionate inaccuracy on some populations. The Article concludes by calling on the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to issue specific guidance warning employers of impending liability under Title VII, including class action liability, due to the use of facial recognition technology, and to use its enforcement authority to file lawsuits against employers who continue to use the technology.

The present study is as an attempt to understand how socio-demographic characteristics (i.e., gender, family socioeconomic status) and school level supports (i.e., school climate, professional guidance at school) influence occupational and educational expectations among rural youth (i.e., aspirations for a meaningful career, future family values, and future employment goals). The findings showed a relationship among the demographic characteristics, school level supports, career aspirations and future family and employment expectations of rural youth. The results of regression analysis indicate that school climate does influence aspirations towards a meaningful career, future family orientation and future employment goals. In addition, aspirations towards a meaningful career are also influenced by gender and professional guidance at school.

The article provides information about the international movement of Abilympics and its development in the Russian Federation: the purposes, tasks and means of career guidance for people with disabilities. Particular attention is paid to the issues of employment of the disabled and to the measures taken by the regional executive authorities responsible for training and employment of the population, including people with disabilities. The article analyses the results of the II National championship of professional skills among people with disabilities and the main data regarding the employment of its participants. Proposals are made on the introduction of career guidance mechanisms and the promotion of employment for people with disabilities through the change in the calculation of ratings of educational institutions, the formation of competence centers and the development of the movement, the involvement of employers in the preparation of competition tasks and evaluation materials for professional skills competitions.

So that managers can obtain more valuable knowledge and information, better management, improve employment rate, and enhance the competitiveness of institutions of higher learning.

The 2007 study by NICEC for CEDEFOP, Career Development at work – a review of career guidance to support people in employment, reported few examples of provision particularly targeted at employed people over the age of 50, although many services that are expressly for senior management, and many others offering outplacement advice, do see and help people in that age group. Other national and European studies (DfES, 2003 as an example of the former; Clayton et al., 2007 of the latter) suggest there are good services specially dedicated to unemployed older people. But older adults in the context of unemployment are regarded as a group with particular problems. The idea that people over 50 in employment might have rather different, but perfectly normal, needs in making plans about training and career progression, or making changes to have a more fulfilling balance between paid and unpaid work, has not been addressed until recently.

Purpose of this paper deals with the availability Career Guidance resources and Services providing institutions in Arts and science colleges affiliated to Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore. Objective - of the paper is to know the status of the college libraries and information centre’s, their services and availability of Career Guidance books, periodicals, financial sources and other infrastructure facilities. Methodology - systematic questionnaire has prepared and distributed to selected Arts and science colleges for data collection. Data analysis - after collecting the data were sorted out and fed into the computer excell for analysis. Findings and suggestions- it is observed from the study that increase more collection of career guidance resources in most of the Government colleges and Self financing institutions, create awareness programmes, utilize social media for updating of employment opportunities among the students and Infrastructure facility to be increased.

Throughout member countries of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), a number of important policy directions are placing increasing demands upon career information and guidance services. A growing emphasis upon lifelong learning for all and active employment and welfare policies are among the more important. Yet alongside these pressures for wider community access to career assistance services, recent OECD work reveals weaknesses in the organisation and delivery of career information, guidance and counselling. A key challenge facing governments is to widen access to these services in an affordable way and yet to maintain their quality. This paper describes a new OECD activity on policies for career information, guidance and counselling services that will examine this challenge.

On July 1st 2013, Croatia became the 28th member state of the European Union. One requirement for Croatia’s accession to the EU was the establishment of comprehensive life-long career guidance (LLCG) provision. In 2011, the Croatian Employment Service, the traditional provider of career guidance services to the unemployed, embarked on a programme to establish eight public facing pilot LLCG centres funded through EU transition funding. This article uses the results of an early evaluation of the new LLCG centres undertaken at the end of the pilot stage to explore the inter-relationship between this EU imperative and the policy and practice developments required to establish LLCG in a post-conflict and postcommand economy emerging EU country.

Career counseling and employment in Technical & Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector is considered an important component for coping with the economic challenges, the world is facing today. This study focused on the graduates of TVET in Pakistan by collecting data from principals, employed TVET graduates and their respective employers. Our findings support our argument that career counseling is important for employment in TVET sector. We recommend empirical validation career counseling for TVET graduates in particular and all graduates in general. The career counseling needs to be explored conceptually with reference to under developed economies.

The article considers the current problems of youth unemployment; the reasons for its occurrence are investigated. The level of employment and youth unemployment in the modern labour market in Ukraine is analyzed.The author emphasizes that the existence of a functional state is impossible without solving the problem of unemployment. Young people, as part of the population with special needs, opportunities and potential, should be the first to be addressed by the state, as neglecting their employment could have critical consequences for society as a whole.The main directions of youth employment regulation at the state and regional level are considered. The problem of youth employment exists all over the world and is solved in different ways. Informing relations with young people and their employers, the Ukrainian authorities take into account the experience of foreign scientists, the practical achievements of other countries, as adapted to the internal characteristics of the country.The task of improving the process of employment and choosing a profession, the beginning of independent employment of young professionals is formulated. The main directions for reducing youth unemployment in the labour market and increasing employment have been identified. The current state of the labour market is analyzed, the main causes of imbalance between supply and demand for young professionals are identified and a list of the most popular specialities is determined. The main ways to reduce unemployment among the youth segment are proposed. The following issues need further research: further study the problems of youth employment; to adopt the procedure for forming and placing a state order for the training of specialists, taking into account the needs of the labour market; to encourage educational institutions and enterprises to cooperate in the field of vocational guidance; to involve Ukrainian scientists in the work of youth work centres and provide recommendations for improving their activities; to form a state mechanism to support youth entrepreneurship; to create an effective system of vocational guidance for young people in popular professions and to provide an individual approach to providing vocational guidance services.

The purpose of the present study is to investigate the factors affecting career guidance and their reflections of the career guidance services given in the country. Based on a literature review, it is known that career guidance services can be a part of economic and social development. In the present study, these factors are analyzed under these headings as the structure of the region, economic conditions (labor force of the country and employment), historical and socio-cultural factors (family structure, changing values) and educational factors. Moreover, it is emphasized that the country is the only secular country and only candidate for the European Union membership among the Muslim communities. After drawing a framework with these factors, the state of the country in guidance services and its reflections abroad were investigated. It is of great importance to draw the attention to such issues in Turkey and to develop “career guidance programs” as in developed countries. Males continue to dominate mathematics-related areas in graduate school and employment, possibly due to the differential guidance that they receive as students. In the present study, 180 undergraduates completed an online survey on the career and graduate school guidance they received from mathematics professors. Student sex, professor sex, and help-seeking behaviors were considered as possible correlates of career guidance. Students of both sexes reported similar help-seeking behaviors, but males received more career guidance from professors. Help-seeking levels along with an interaction term of student sex and professor sex significantly predicted career guidance. The influence of student sex on career guidance depended on professor sex. Male students with male professors received the greatest amount of career guidance. The differential career guidance may contribute to the pervasive sex gap within the mathematics field.

Given vocational rehabilitation’s (VR) substantial role in workforce development, it follows that agencies would encourage and support consumers using the most current job-seeking methods, including social media. Recent data, however, show that online strategies are limited in VR practice and that many agencies lack comprehensive policies to guide social media use. We conducted a qualitative analysis to examine current VR social media policies and procedures and offer recommendations for policy development. Through an examination of open coding of 22 policies and one guideline, we identified seven themes and 25 subthemes, which mapped onto recommended social media policy elements from research. Only two VR policies, however, covered themes in a comprehensive way, and only one policy acknowledged social media as a tool for consumer job search. This outcome is an oversight given the emphasis social media plays in employment networking, proof of performance, and skills demonstration when seeking employment.

This article compares how vocational guidance is provided in schools in Britain and three Continental European countries. The comparisons are based on classroom observations and interviews with teachers in some two dozen secondary schools in Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, together with a similar number in Britain. Careers guidance on the Continent begins earlier, is taught by careers specialists in separate lessons devoted to the topic, and is geared specifically to providing youngsters with detailed information on the content and requirements for particular types of work. The lack of focus on occupationally-specific information in ‘careers guidance’ in British schools, particularly in the now-widespread ‘Personal and Social Education’ (PSE) courses, leaves many British youngsters at a distinct disadvantage in making a successful transition to the world of work. The article suggests a number of relatively simple measures which could significantly improve careers education in British schools.
