Model and parameters are the indispensable conditions for the simulation calculation of power systems with a high proportion of photovoltaic power generation. Conventional models of power electronic devices are difficult to meet the requirement of power system electromechanical transient simulation, and the parameters are difficult to obtain. Aiming at this problem, this paper proposes a structure of an electromechanical transient simulation model of a photovoltaic power station and designs a set of photovoltaic power generation transient characteristic test systems based on a fault simulation device. Through a disturbance test and model parameter identification, the electromechanical transient simulation model and parameters of photovoltaic power generation are obtained. In this paper, based on the test system, the electromechanical transient characteristics of a certain type of photovoltaic inverter are modeled. The results show that the model can successfully describe the electromechanical transient characteristics of photovoltaic power generation, and the simulation results obtained based on the model parameters have a good fitting degree compared with the measured curve.

Behavioral characteristic is one of the important targets in conceptual design and re-design of electromechanical products. To summarize the knowledge of behavior characteristics of electromechanical products, this paper proposed the concepts of behavioral effect, elemental behavior and behavioral chain. It made the modification to classical Petri nets, then analyzed and expressed the behavior characteristics using the modified Petri nets. Finally, a case study of an electric nail-gun was conducted to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed methodologies.

Introduction. The use of an electromechanical transmission in the design of a tracked vehicle allows an increase in the complex indicator of mobility, an increase in the range, fuel efficiency, maximum speed, a decrease in acceleration time, etc. The improvement of these indicators is achieved mainly due to the different performance characteristics of the internal combustion engine and the energy characteristics of electrical machines. The latter fact makes it possible to ensure the operation of the power plant of the tracked vehicle in such a way as to avoid unfavorable operating modes of both the internal combustion engine and the elements of the electromechanical transmission (a generator, a traction electric motor, an energy storage) from the point of view of energy efficiency, and to realize the high efficiency of the entire system.Research methods. To improve the mobility and implement a rational strategy for electromechanical transmission control, it is necessary to have an idea of the effective modes of operation of the main elements of the power plant. As a way to solve this problem it is proposed to study the energy characteristics of the main elements of an electromechanical transmission using the developed mathematical model for various modes of movement of a tracked vehicle.Results. Modeling the motion of a tracked vehicle with an electromechanical transmission makes it possible, in addition to determining the transmission parameters, to formulate preliminary requirements for its characteristics.Discussion and conclusion. To solve these problems, it is necessary to simulate the process of movement of a tracked vehicle, taking into account the initial data that are adequate to real operating conditions.

The characteristics of the self-synchronization in the offset self-synchronous system are put forward. In the paper, based on Lagrange principle, a dynamic model is derived to give its electromechanical-coupling model, which is provided with many variable no-linear characters. A serious of the practical phenomena in the transition process of the system is reasonably explained using the numerical solution simulation, and the variations rules of each parameter in the system are discussed at several types of the typical status. Finally the characteristics of the self-synchronization in the system are generated under the action of the electromechanical coupling. The visually processes are shown in the simulation results, for which the conventional mechanic models are unavailable to explain quantitatively, in which the vibration machines implement fully the transition from asynchronous to synchronous state or from one type of synchronous state to other type. It is fully verified that the system is with the self-healing synchronous ability, and the synchronous movement rules in the electromechanical coupling system are also revealed. For its research not only it is useful to explore the electromechanical coupling model of the offset self-synchronous system, but also it is in-depth to study synchronous motion rules of the self-synchronous system, and it is of the theoretical and practical importance.

In the article the modern state of completely new direction of electromechanical science such as combined inductive-capacitive electromechanics is considered. The wide spectra of its possible practical applications and prospects for further development are analyzed. A new approach for mathematical description of transients in dualcon jugate dynamic systems is proposed. On the basis of the algorithm differential equations for inductive-capacitive compatible electromechanical energy converters are derived. The generalized Lagrangian theory of combined inductively-capacitive electric machines was developed as a union of generalized Lagrangian models of inductive and capacitive electro-mechanical energy converters developed on the basis of the basic principles of binary-conjugate electrophysics. The author gives equations of electrodynamics and electromechanics of combined inductive-capacitive electric machines in case there are active electrotechnical materials of dual purpose (ferroelectromagnets) in the structure of their excitation system. At the same time, the necessary Lagrangian for combined inductive-capacitive forces was built using new technologies of interaction between inductive and capacitive subsystems. The joint solution of these equations completely determines the dynamic behavior and energy characteristics of the generalized model of combined machines of any design and in any modes of interaction of their functional elements

To keep military equipment fit for use, carry out maintenance activities, an important and integral part of which is metrological service. The effectiveness of metrological services depends on the completeness of the coverage of the monitored parameters, frequency and reliability of their measuring control. The most common, at present, when controlling the parameters of military equipment are electromechanical measuring equipment. The main metrological characteristic of electromechanical measuring instruments in a static measurement mode is the nominal calibration characteristic. During operation, the calibration characteristic of electromechanical measuring instruments, under the influence of various factors, has deviations from the nominal, which leads to an instrumental static error. The article deals with the applied aspects of assessing the static error of electromechanical measuring equipment, which is expressed through the sensitivity or static transmission coefficients of measuring transducers. Based on the results of the analysis, a generalized mathematical model of the relative static error of electromechanical measuring equipment for various structural schemes of connecting measuring transducers was obtained. It is proposed to apply a generalized mathematical model to assess the relative static error of electromechanical measuring instruments (with various structural schemes) during their operation. The use of an updated static error will allow to refine the calibration characteristics of electromechanical measuring instruments, which in turn will lead to obtaining reliable information about the state of military equipment during metrological maintenance and immediately before use.

Parameters of induction motors have crucial effects on power system simulation. This paper proposes a dynamic aggregation method of induction motors. In this method, firstly, starting off the electromechanical models of induction motors, taking the coefficients of the electromechanical equations and steady state slips of motors as the characteristic vectors, motors are grouped with fuzzy C-means clustering method. Then, electromechanical equations of the equivalent motor are obtained by averaging that of the individual motors in the same group. Finally, parameters of equivalent motors are calculated based on the relationship of transient impedance before and after aggregation, and the principle that active and reactive power loads are equal before and after aggregation. Simulation results show that the proposed method can improve the precision of simulation

In order to investigate the electromechanical coupling dynamic behaviors of portal crane's hoisting system, the electromechanical coupling model of the system was established by utilizing Lagrange-Maxwell equation. Taking the MQ2535 portal crane as an example, the electromechanical coupling dynamic characteristic curves of the hoisting system was studied based on the MATLAB simulation platform, in addition that the interrelate and interactive characteristics between the electromagnetic system and mechanical system was presented. It is shown that the results have larger difference compared with the results of neglecting the electromechanical coupling effects. This is because of the energy-stored role of the electromagnetic system and the load tracking property of the driving motor that the dynamic load got buffered and then the dynamic load factor became lower. The research results can provide theoretical supports for matching and optimizing the parameters of electromechanical system and improving the portal crane safety.

Based on the analysis of the existing classification of low-voltage electromechanical devices, it was proposed, on the basis of the functions performed, to unite into the group of electromagnetic mechanisms the indicating relays, vacuum contactors, time relays with clockwork, and executive bodies of circuit breaker releases. The definition of launching devices is given, the main feature of which is a mechanical characteristic, the change of which, with appropriate coordination with the traction characteristic of an electromagnet, can lead to an improvement of the most important characteristics of these devices, such as power consumption and resistance to mechanical influencing factors. On the example of the calculation of the index relay, it is shown and experimentally confirmed that a change in the initial force of the mechanical characteristic and its rigidity leads to a decrease in power consumption while maintaining shock stability.

The parameters of electromechanical converters functioning as part of working sets can change as a result of the influence externa factors, such as changes in the characteristics of the environment. Changes in parameters also occur due to parametric disturbances caused by changes in the physical characteristics of the elements electromechanical converters. In this regard, the development of methods and algorithms that provide analysis and control of the functioning electromechanical converters is an urgent task. The article discusses a digital algorithm for monitoring the functioning of an electromechanical DC converter, based on obtaining characteristics in a tabular-graphic form. These characteristics reflect the relationship between the vector of unstable parameters of the research object χ and the generalized integral criterion Q as a function of the discrepancy between the output coordinates of the electromechanical converter and its reference model. Discrete transfer functions of the reference model and sensitivity models are obtained for the monitored unstable parameters of the electromechanical converter. Based on the decomposition of discrete models, the corresponding direct programming schemes in the Frobenius form are constructed. The digital algorithms of the obtained models are represented by the difference equations of state and output. The structural scheme calculation of the generalized integral criterion Q and point dependencies χ (Q) is given. Discrete approximation was carried out using a bilinear transformation (Tustin's formula). A computer experiment for obtaining point χ-dependencies was carried out with varying degrees of accuracy, depending on the step of variations monitored parameters of the electromechanical converter within a given range of variation. The results obtained make it possible to assess the monitored unstable parameters of electromechanical DC converters with the required accuracy.

During the electromechanical converters operation in the composition of the working sets, objects parameters can change both under the influence of external factors, such as changes in the environmental characteristics, and due to parametric disturbances caused by changes of the physical characteristics of electromechanical converters elements. In this regard, the analysis and monitoring of electromechanical converters parameters is an important task. The article deals with a method that allows to ensure control over the operation of electromechanical converters during operation as part of working sets, based on variations analysis of the object parameters. The article provides a linear integral criterion computational scheme using the reference and sensitivity models to the parameters to be analyzed. The results provide a good way to estimate changes of the electromechanical converters parameters with the required accuracy.

The constitutive equations of piezoelectric polymer composite materials used for their electromechanical characterisation are complicated and their analytical solution is difficult. Earlier models assumed either stress or strain components to be constant. In this paper we present a model for electromechanical characterisation of piezoceramic polymer composites. The assumptions are (i) the samples have complete stress free boundary conditions at the polymer piezoelectric interfaces, (ii) the materials are lossless, (iii) the coordinate axes are pure mode propagation directions, and (iv) the electric potential and the displacements are assumed to be independent degrees of freedom. Based on these assumptions, expressions for impedance, phase velocities, and electromechanical coupling constant are developed for piezoelectric polymer composites of cylindrical geometry.

The electromechanical characteristics of PVDF are investigated, including the crystallization, frequency responses, hysteresis, leakage currents, current-voltage characteristics, and fatigue characteristics using X-ray diffraction and an electrometer. Results show that the frequency band of PVDF increases with increasing resistive load and capacitance. The hysteresis area of ΔH slightly increases with increasing input voltage. The magnitude of the current values increases with decreasing delay time at a given drive voltage. PVDF film induced larger degradation when the number of stress cycles was increased to about 105 cumulative cycles.

Abstract The paper presents the analysis of electromechanical characteristics of piezoelectric converters subjected to an electric field and mechanical load. The analyses were performed based on a method consisting implementation of special segments responsible for electrical boundary conditions to a homogeneous beam. Constitutive equations were developed, allowing one to obtain static electromechanical characteristics for piezoelectric actuators with freely defined boundary conditions and geometry. Moreover, based on constitutive equations obtained, a particular solution for cantilever transducer subjected to concentrated force has been developed. The resulting analytical solution was compared with the data available in the literature, and the developed FEM solution. Furthermore, the influence of factors such as relative length, thickness and location of particular piezoelectric layers on electromechanical characteristics of the transducer was defined.

A wider operational bandwidth, a higher electromechanical coupling factor, and lower acoustic impedance are important requirements for ultrasound transducers for use across many applications. Conventional 2-2 piezoelectric composite transducers have been widely researched because of their wider bandwidth and higher sensitivity over their piezoelectric ceramic counterparts. In this paper, the fabrication of a novel 2-2 piezoelectric composite using magnetic force assembly is proposed to explore the potential of the transducer and to minimize mode coupling effect compared to 1–3 composites. To determine the desired transducer performance, such as the electromechanical coupling factor, the operational bandwidth, and the acoustic impedance, the design of a 2-2 composite should be considered using the mode-coupling theory and an effective medium model. The experimental results indicate that the electromechanical coupling factor and the −6 dB fractional bandwidth of the composite achieve values of 0.58 and 65.2%, respectively, which are comparable to those of traditional 1-3 piezoceramic/epoxy composites.

This paper presents a practical and effective novel approach to curve fit electromechanical (EM) overcurrent (OC) relay characteristics. Based on singular value decomposition (SVD), the curves are fitted with equation in state space under modal coordinates. The relationships between transfer function and Markov parameters are adopted in this research to represent the characteristic curves of EM OC relays. This study applies the proposed method to two EM OC relays: the GE IAC51 relay with moderately inverse-time characteristic and the ABB CO-8 relay with inverse-time characteristic. The maximum absolute values of errors of hundreds of sample points taken from four time dial settings (TDS) for each relay between the actual characteristic curves and the corresponding values from the curve-fitting equations are within the range of 10 milliseconds. Finally, this study compares the SVD with the adaptive network and fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) to demonstrate its accuracy and identification robustness.

This paper analyses electromechanical hardening of the steel parts surface, when in the contact area so called “white layer” is formed. The experiments were performed to show the influence of “white layer” on strength of the steel C45 specimens under low cycle loading. This paper analyses monotonic and low cycle tension compression and pure bending characteristics of specimens with electromechanically hardened surface. The Performed experiments showed that under monotonic tension strength characteristics (σpr, σ02, σu) are increasing and strain characteristics (eu, ψ) are decreasing. During cyclic stress limited tension compression at low loading levels both the width of plastic strain hysteresis loop and accumulated plastic strain are decreasing, therefore the lifetime is increasing. Under pure bending this tendencies persist, but in this case the lifetime at all loading levels is larger than the lifetime at tension compression.

This paper presents a practical new method to quickly and effectively eliminate coordination curve intersection problems in subtransmission systems resulting from improper protective coordination settings in electromechanical overcurrent relays. Firstly, a database representing the relay operating characteristics was constructed based on the electromechanical overcurrent relay characteristic curves published by the manufacturer. Then, combining with this database, a fixed-point coordination curve adjustment procedure dedicated to electromechanical overcurrent relays was proposed to tackle the curve intersection situation of the coordinated upstream and downstream relay pair appearing in the original design. In addition to correcting manmade errors that could cause unexpected widespread power outages when fault occurs, the proposed technique can also enhance the effectiveness and accuracy of coordination. This study also simulated an actual case in Taiwan Power Company to verify the feasibility and practicality of the proposed method.

Introduction. High rates of new territories development, the development of the construction and road-transport complex, mining and transportation of minerals is impossible without machinery and equipment. The use of a caterpillar propeller as a base chassis has both advantages and disadvantages. One of the main problems is ensuring the mobility of tracked vehicles. The use of mixed-type power units and transmissions allows solving this scientific problem and ensuring the efficiency of technological operations during the operation of tracked vehicles. Modern vehicles use a variety of transmission types, including electromechanical transmission (EMT). In such a design, torque conversion and change in the speed of the drive wheels of the caterpillar propulsion device are carried out by means of traction electric motors (TEM). The aim of the use of electromechanical transmission in tracked machines is to increase the tractive-dynamic properties and fuel economy and, as a result, to improve the mobility of the machine. The combination of an internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric machines in a caterpillar machine (CM) makes it possible to maximize the advantages of the latter and compensate for the disadvantages of each. These improvements are achieved mainly through the different performance characteristics of the traction electric engine (TEE) and the energy storage device (ESD).Research methods. A system analysis served as the basis for the theoretical studies. A mathematical model of the motion of a tracked vehicle with an electromechanical transmission has been developed. The methods of the theory of algorithms were used.Results. A structural diagram of the arrangement of a series connection of elements of an electromechanical transmission of a tracked vehicle, protected by a patent of the Russian Federation, has been developed and presented. An algorithm has been developed for the interaction of its elements taking into account the movement of the machine. The main mathematical relationships included in the methodology for substantiating the operational characteristics of a tracked vehicle with an electromechanical transmission are presented.Discussion and conclusion. Using the developed approaches and methodology, it will be possible to calculate the components of the electromechanical transmission in order to ensure the required mobility of the caterpillar machine, to assess its fuel economy, as well as its maximum and average speed.

In the poling process of PZT ceramics, the poling temperature is a critical condition. When the poling temperature is too low, no matter how high is the poling field and how long is the poling time, the planar electromechanical coupling factor kpis lower. When the poling temperature is higher enough, the kpcan reach to a saturated value with a lower poling field and short poling time. The variation of dielectric constant with the poling conditions is the same as that of planar electromechanical coupling factor. When poling with a low temperature, the dielectric constant after poling is lower than 1400. When poling with higher temperature, no matter how high is the poling field and how long is the poling time, the dielectric constant after poling is higher than 1500.

The effect of a magnetic spring is observed in electromechanical devices with limited pole sizes. Simultane-ous changing of the system magnetic conductivity after a relative displacement of the poles causes mag-netic tension forces. These forces in electromechanical magnetic fluid dampers have their own specific characteristics which have not been studied before. All this requires studying the effect of a magnetic spring on the damper power characteristics, estimating the effect of the properties of a magnetorheological suspension on the magnetic spring strength, nature of its change and combination of the action of magnetic forces and viscosity resistance to the piston movement. To do that, it is important to analyze the effect of a magnetic spring in statics, at a slow movement of the piston and its dynamic oscillations. The studies were based on the theory of natural experiment and methods of processing experimental results. We have obtained and analyzed dependences of the resistance force of the electromechanical magnetic fluid damper for different vibration frequencies and magnetic inductions. The effect of magnetic spring forces on the damper power characteristic has been investigated. It has been found how the damper resistance force is affected by the magnetic and hydrodynamic components. The use of a damper with alternating elements with high and low magnetic conductivities makes it possible to change the strength characteristic of electromechanical magnetic fluid dampers. The proportion of the force controlled by the magnetic field reaches 75 % of the total effort. The use of the magnetic spring effect allows increasing the damping efficiency at small amplitudes and vibration frequencies. Increasing the magnetic properties of a magnetorheological suspension enhances the effect of a magnetic spring if the piston is non-magnetic, and weakens it if it is a magnetic one. When the magnetic induction rises, the effect of the magnetic spring increases. By changing the initial piston position, it is possible to obtain an asymmetrical power characteristic, for example, without using valves and spools, to increase the rebound force and to reduce the compressive force. If there are no moving parts, the damper reliability increases.

Porous conductors with large surface-volume ratios have been applied to a variety of fields, including absorbents, flexible heaters, and electrodes for supercapacitors. In this study, we implemented sensitive pressure sensors using the mechanical and electrical characteristics of conductive porous structures manufactured by immersing sponges into a carbon nanotube solution and then measured the change in resistance. When pressure was applied to conductive sponges, carbon nanotubes were attached to each other and the resistance was reduced by up to 20%. The carbon nanotube sponges, which were soft and had superior elasticity, were quickly stabilized without any changes taking place in their shape, and they showed consistent change in resistance during experiments of repetitive pressure. The pressure devices based on conductive porous sponges were connected to single-walled carbon nanotube field effect transistors (SWCNT-FETs) and changes in their characteristics were investigated according to external pressure.

Purpose: In this study we aimed to investigate myocardial function and atrial electromechanical properties by conventional and tissue doppler echocardiography in patients with primary Sjögren syndrome. Methods: Forty patients with Sjögren syndrome (SS) and 25 age- and sex-matched healthy volunteers were enrolled in the study. Using transthoracic echocardiography, myocardial performance index and atrial electromechanical properties were measured. Results: Basal characteristics were similar between two groups. Myocardial performance index values were disturbed in patients with Sjögren syndrome (0.41 vs. 0.32, p < 0.01). There was significant intraatrial (16.4±6.4, 5.0±4.5, p < 0.01) and interatrial (30.6±10.1, 15.4±5.9, p < 0.01) electromechanical delay in this patient group. Conclusion: Myocardial function is disturbed and there is significant atrial electromechanical delay in patients with primary SS. This study is the first to show altered myocardial function and atrial electromechanical properties in primary SS.

The nonstationary transition status of the motor start-up phase creates great threat against the stable operation of the flexible manipulator system. This article investigates the electromechanical coupling dynamics and vibration response characteristics for a flexible manipulator of an alternating current servomotor-driven linear positioning platform with considering the start-up dynamic characteristics of the motor. Based on the constructed global electromechanical coupling effect and the Lagrange–Maxwell equations, the dynamic model of the whole system is established. The electromechanical coupling vibration mechanism of the flexible manipulator is obtained by analyzing the multiphysical process and multiparameter coupling phenomenon of the whole system. The result demonstrates that the nonstationary transition status of the motor initialization phase is mainly manifested during the disturbance of the three-phase stator current. As the speed of the linear positioning platform increases, the current disturbance, arousing the change of the servo driving force of the linear positioning platform, has dominant frequency shift and frequency amplitude decrease. Then, the vibration response of the flexible manipulator is markedly affected and the variation of the high-order modes vibration response is more obvious. The analysis result is significant for improving the dynamic performance of the motor-driven flexible robot manipulator system.

Electromechanical impedance technique has been widely used in the area of structural health monitoring. However, both damage and variation in environmental temperature can cause the changes in electromechanical impedance signature, which may cause false damage diagnosis. The temperature effect on the electromechanical impedance-based method has been one of its main drawbacks in practical application. This article proposes a new approach based on cointegration to eliminate temperature interference in the electromechanical impedance technique. The augmented Dickey–Fuller test is used to analyze the stationary characteristics of the time series and determine the degree of non-stationarity. The Johansen test is used to obtain the cointegrating residuals instead of the direct electromechanical impedance responses for damage detection. The proposed method is verified on the undamaged and damaged steel plates with the consideration of environmental temperature variations. The damage detection was based on the electromechanical impedance technique in which the peak frequency is chosen as a cointegrated variable. The experimental results show that the cointegration method can remove the temperature effect on the electromechanical impedance responses, and the cointegrating residuals are effective indices to indicate the occurrence of damage.

The construction of the piezoelectric generator (PEG) for the energy storage device has a significant effect on the electromechanical conversion characteristics, and the optimal choice of its geometric parameters is an important prerequisite for ensuring efficiency of the electromechanical conversion. This article discusses a PEG model based on circular three-layer plate in the ANSYS package. Two piezoactive layers, piezoelectric and piezomagnetic, are glued to a steel substrate. The program built in the MATLAB package allows to control ANSYS scripts to find the dependence of the electromechanical coupling coefficient on the geometric parameters of the object. The genetic algorithm is used to determine the maximum value of the electromechanical coupling coefficient when changing the radius and thickness of the layers within certain limits. Thus, a set of geometric dimensions is determined to achieve the best PEG energy conversion efficiency. After applying the optimization algorithm, the electromechanical coupling coefficient increases by 34% in comparison with the results of previous studies.
