In the report of Eighteenth CPC National Congress, new requirements are raised to universities and colleges, which is to promote the connotative development of higher education, To achieve this aim in stead of scale expansion, universities and colleges have to reform the traditional personnel training mode used previously. Therefore, the researchers are trying to explore a new talent cultivating mood in order to meet the need of social development for the professional talents in electrical engineering and automation major. The new mood is considered from seven perspectives: optimizoffing the curriculum system, designing the practice teaching, innovating the teaching methods, enforceing the credit system management, reforming the teaching evaluation system, establishing a scientific evaluation system and realizing the win-win situation of colleges and universities.

The paper discusses the organization features of training engineering MSc students for teaching and research activity. The authors have analyzed the historical and pedagogical aspects of the origin and development of master’s degree programs in Russia as one of the most important resources for providing the higher education system with teaching staff . The modern requirements of society for training university teaching staff in changing conditions and increasing their professional mobility are revealed. Training nonpedagogical MSc students for teaching and research activity at a university involves a pedagogical component in the teaching content structure, as exemplifi ed by “Fundamentals of Pedagogical Activity” or “Methods of Vocational Training” courses and teaching practice programs. Research conducted by the authors at the the Goryachkin Institute of Mechanical and Power Engineering at Russian Timiryazev State Agrarian University for three years, showed a high demand for lecturers with a master’s degree in modern technical universities, as well as high motivation of Msc students for teaching and research activity. The study involved 109 MSc students in the areas of training “Agroengineering”, “Heat Power Engineering and Heat Engineering”, “Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering”. All the participants were taking a course of “Fundamentals of Pedagogical Activity” and having teaching practice at the university. As a result of the research, the authors have off ered some ways to solve the problem of training teaching staff with a master’s degree for technical universities. They include conducting fundamental research on the methodological issues of master’s degree training, considering past experience and modern trends; developing theoretical and applied issues of the master’s degree training content structure in order to increase the eff ectiveness of training programs, including the pedagogical component; identifying and implementing eff ective forms, models, and adaptive programs in the university study process to train MSc students for teaching and research activities and ensure their further professional development.

The fundamental substance employed for energy, construction, smelting and shipbuilding before eighteenth century was wood. However, with the advent of industrial revolution, changes in agriculture, manufacturing, mining, transportation, and technology had an overwhelming consequence on the socio-economic life of the society. This causes natural resources to decline and demand for them to incredibly increase, which led the humanity to fell into intertwined crises of environmental, economic and social systems. To change the situation, paramount changes of thinking and mindset are required and education is the key. This study therefore, explored the perceptions of electrical/electronic lecturers in the polytechnics on the need to incorporate sustainability thinking into Higher National Diploma electrical/electronic engineering curriculum in Nigeria. Two research questions guided the study through qualitative research design. Sixty-five (65) electrical/electronic lecturers in the polytechnics within the states under the study made up the target population, and only senior lecturers were selected to participate in the study. This is because of their experience in teaching electrical/electronic courses in the institutions. The authors conducted qualitative semi-structured interviews to generate data used in answering the research questions. The authors transcribed and thematically analyzed the data. Findings revealed a common view in which the participants indicated an urgent need for incorporation of sustainability thinking in to the said curriculum. Findings also showed the possible benefits of incorporating sustainability thinking to include environmental protection, economic prosperity, social wellbeing and technical sustainability. The authors recommended a model for incorporating sustainability thinking into HND electrical/electronic engineering curriculum.

In university teaching, a MOOC is often regarded as an isolated online course and thus underestimated in its didactic application possibilities within traditional teaching and learning environments. In this study, the "Pre-MOOC" design is presented as an example, in which the didactic em-bedding of an online course is the first phase of a lecture in higher educa-tion. After a brief overview of the current state of research on Pre-MOOCs, the article describes the instructional design process of the lecture in which we used the instructional design model ADDIE. Furthermore, the study de-scribes the implementation and evaluation in a master program of electrical engineering. We will analyze the results of the evaluation with regard to the concept of a Pre-MOOC. Based on feedback from students and teachers, rec-ommendations for designing a course with the Pre-MOOC design will be provided.

In the context of the information age, the development of artificial intelligence is flourishing, and it is becoming more and more closely integrated with economic life, which is an inevitable trend of future social development. Education is also inseparable from the support of science and technology. The penetration of artificial intelligence has changed traditional teaching models and methods. Under the influence of artificial intelligence technology, college education is developing more and more in the direction of informatization and intelligence. For college teachers, the study and application of artificial intelligence is an important and necessary means to achieve professional development. It is more important to train students to take independent self-study exams and focus on applying social skills, so that students can better adapt to the coming era of intelligence. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to explore the development of higher education and the improvement of teaching skills based on artificial intelligence and to analyze the problems and solutions in the process of higher education development. This article will use the research methods of specific problems and specific analysis to compare the data and draw conclusions. The research results show that in the information-based education innovation created by knowledge sharing, the teaching goals and methods are constantly changing. And about 85% of the students believe that the development prospect of intelligent teaching is good, which verifies the feasibility of artificial intelligence technology in the development of college education. Only by training students’ imagination, creativity, critical thinking, and autonomous learning can they adapt to today’s rapidly developing society. Therefore, active learning and research on artificial intelligence is the embodiment of cultivating lifelong learning ability, improving rich teaching skills, constantly summing up experience, actively improving and trimming relevant change programs, and jointly promoting the rapid development of higher education under artificial intelligence.

Objective. To understand the impact of platform selection on each influencing factor of students’ teaching evaluation. Method. The factor analysis method was used to analyze the questionnaire survey of students’ satisfaction with teaching evaluation in 16 undergraduate colleges and universities in Sichuan Province. The impact of five key factors on students’ satisfaction with teaching, i.e., teachers’ teaching ethics, teaching ability, teaching content, teaching method, and teaching effect, was explored. Results. It shows that platform selection has a significant impact on various factors in the whole online teaching process. Regarding the degree of impact of platform selection on students’ teaching evaluation satisfaction, senior students are slightly higher than junior students, boys are slightly higher than girls, and students majoring in science and technology are slightly higher than those in other disciplines. Conclusion. Due to the great influence of teaching platform selection on online teaching satisfaction, teachers must choose an appropriate teaching platform according to teaching needs.

Study of Engineering Control is often perceived by students as highly complex and a difficult hurdle to pass. The authors of this paper were prompted to propose changes to the teaching of a final year control unit of a BEng (Hons) Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering after numerous students had expressed concern about their ability to be successful in this subject. The average exam grade had also been low for several years. Teaching previously had been didactic in nature, based on lectures, predefined laboratory exercises and tutorial sessions. Use of appropriate-based workshop study sessions can lead to higher levels of attainment and development, and student perception is that the experience is informal, engaging but appropriately challenging. A series of workshop sessions were introduced into term two of the unit teaching over a period of several weeks. Students worked individually on learning improvement activities, within cooperative groups in an informal workshop environment. The tasks set to the students were challenging and designed to improve general skills in Control, and students were encouraged to explore further areas that interested them. Results presented in this paper describe an improvement in student engagement, confidence in exam preparation and communication of learning measured by grades since the introduction of the workshop sessions, and improved feedback from students. The workshop sessions were integrated into the teaching scheme rather than being elective and did not require any additional timetable sessions.

With the advancement of China’s industrial construction, the field of engineering management has also attracted more attention. However, China’s engineering management major is currently in a growing stage due to the issue of the opening years, and the teaching and practice setting of each course is also in an immature stage, which makes China’s engineering management majors present more and more problems. The truancy rate has been increasing year by year, the students’ dominant position in the class has become objectified, and their trust in teachers has decreased. Students’ learning shows the characteristics of individualization and diversity. Higher requirements are put forward for teachers’ teaching quality, and schools lack an effective supervision mechanism. In order to solve these problems better, it is imperative to reform and innovate the course teaching of engineering management majors. The core of engineering education accreditation is to confirm that engineering graduates meet established quality standards recognized by the industry. It is a unique method to test whether the course teaching of engineering management majors is qualified and attracts many scholars to discuss it. Engineering education accreditation has attracted many scholars to discuss it because it is a unique means to test the qualifications of engineering management students’ course teaching. This study was based on an in-depth exploration of the teaching practice of engineering management courses and combines artificial intelligence with an engineering education certification. Through the research and analysis of colleges and universities, the research finally showed that the engineering management professional course teaching of engineering education certification under the background of artificial intelligence can promote the attendance of students in school by about 20%. The achievement of course teaching objectives has increased by about 13% and the comprehensive ability level of graduates has increased by about 8%. It improved the overall level of students and the teaching quality and efficiency of engineering management courses and also promoted the development of college education so that today’s engineering management graduates can better meet the needs of today’s society.

The challenges of the future of education are increasingly complex. The position of educators in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 tends to be a facilitator who provides the latest information regarding the development of science. Merdeka Learning is an independent and versatile higher education learning model designed to create an unrestricted creative learning community. This development research resulted in teaching material in the form of learning modules and videos for the Operations and System Stability course. The process of developing modules/teaching materials uses the ADDIE development model, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluating. The teaching materials developed are suitable for students to use based on the results of the formative test data and the Likert scale with 86%-100% being very good criteria. In the one-on-one trial, the percentage of expert eligibility was 94.5% for digital modules, and 92% for learning videos. In a small group trial taken from 7 TE 2017 and TE 2018 students, the percentage of eligibility results was 94% for digital modules, and 94.5% for learning videos. Meanwhile, in the field trials taken from 76 students of TE 2017 and TE 2018 the results of the feasibility percentage were 91% for digital modules and 90% for learning videos.

In recent years, the use of English-language electrotechnical terminology has become an integral part of scientific and pedagogical activities in higher education in Ukraine. Writing of scientific articles, monographs, methodical literature and teaching lectures and practical-laboratory classes requires not only knowledge of the English language at a level not lower than Intermediate, but also knowledge of relevant scientific and technical terminology. English is essentially becoming the lingua franca of the modern world, including in the scientific sphere. Therefore, it is quite surprising that there is practically no literature on electrical engineering disciplines in English in the scientific library of NTU "KhPI". In this regard, almost an exception is the study guide, which was written by the former head of the department of electric apparatus of NTU "KhPI", editor-in-chief of the magazine "Electrical engineering and electromechanics" prof. B.V. Klymenko. The manual is actually an English-Ukrainian dictionary on electromechanics. It is based on the International Electrotechnical Vocabulary (IEV). This is a large and important work, but it does not cover all the variety of electrical terminology and electrical engineering terms. The article shows that the IEV contradicts other English-language sources, which itself, to some extent, has internal contradictions. We see that even now there are still some regional differences in terminology and concepts, methods of teaching electrical engineering, due to local traditions. In addition, the language itself is constantly developing, some words become obsolete, some appear. Therefore, work on dictionaries is ongoing, but they are quite naturally forced to lag behind life. Thus, certain difficulties arise when translating into English. You can, however, take the IEV dictionary as a basis with some adjustments based on a few more reliable sources. If some concept does not have a strict correspondence in English-language literature, then the author of the translation takes a certain risk of being unclear, so this concept must be further explained in the text. Undoubtedly, there is a need for further standardization and inter-state terminological consistency in relation to electrical engineering, as well as an updated Ukrainian standard for electrical engineering, which is very urgent.

In order to change the current piano teaching mode and develop towards digitalization, this paper puts forward the Internet of Things remote piano information teaching system. The digital electric piano teaching system is controlled by multimedia computer. It is a kind of music teaching form composed of electric piano and other electronic keyboard instruments, music auxiliary teaching system, and music production software. It integrates viewing, listening, and practicing and changes the traditional one-to-one teaching mode. Its core structure adopts professional audio processing chip and processor to realize controllable digital audio communication channel, which solves the interference problem well, and realizes classroom simulation functions such as centralized teaching, personal guidance, personal demonstration, group demonstration, and group practice. The application results show that the average learning time of the students who pass the intelligent digital electric piano teaching system is reduced by 14%; After two months of study, 46 students still like the piano through the intelligent digital electric piano teaching system, with a retention rate of 92%, which is significantly higher than the 38 students who study the traditional piano, with a retention rate of 76%. Conclusion. The system makes teaching easier and more efficient.

<span>In this paper, we proposed to make different forecasting models in the University education through the algorithms K-means, K-closest neighbor, neural network, and naïve Bayes, which apply to specific exams of engineering, licensed and scientific mathematical thinking in Saber Pro of Colombia. ICFES Saber Pro is an exam required for the degree of all students who carry out undergraduate programs in higher education. The Colombian government regulated this exam in 2009 in the decree 3963 intending to verify the development of competencies, knowledge level, and quality of the programs and institutions. The objective is to use data to convert into information, search patterns, and select the best variables and harness the potential of data (average 650.000 data per semester). The study has found that the combination of features was: women have greater participation (68%) in Mathematics, Engineering, and Teaching careers, the urban area continues to be the preferred place to apply for higher studies (94%), Internet use increased by 50% in the last year, the support of the family nucleus is still relevant for the support in the formation of the children.</span>

The article considers the issue of improving the efficiency of educational information acquisition by future electrical engineering students. Several methods for forming the timetable of tutorials are analyzed, which ensure the increase of fundamental and practical knowledge levels, the ability to work with technical equipment, and solve non-standard situations that might happen in working conditions. Streamlining of tutorials timetable was proved by the main principle of optimization of this process. The research was carried out on the example of teaching technical subjects of study to students during the academic semester. Subjects of the study were taught cyclically within two weeks. Processing of the results was carried out by methods of mathematical modeling and harmonic analysis. The obtained results were verified using a cybernetic model of the learning process by introducing the proposed optimal timetable of tutorials into the general timetable of classes. The survey proved the efficiency of educational information acquisition by electrical engineering students. As criteria for evaluating the efficiency of educational information acquisition, it is proposed to consider the mathematical expectation and dispersion of acquisition on the cycle interval. Based on the optimization approach and using the methods of harmonic analysis and mathematical modeling, the principle of increasing the efficiency of assimilation of educational information by electrical students, i.e. placing different forms of organization of training in a stable schedule, is determined. It has been proven that the introduction of additional consultations into the schedule according to the developed principle allows to even out the discreteness of information delivery, which increases the mathematical expectation of learning by 50% and reduces the variance by 1.8 times, significantly increasing the level of student training. Key words: human and machine systems, information acquisition, information presentation schedule, dispersion, cybernetic model.

Анотація:
The purpose of the study is to optimize the teaching mode of higher education. The teaching mode of colleges and the learning situation of college students are studied based on mobile learning. Artificial neural network (ANN) algorithm is implemented to train and test the student responses. The classification results show that compared with the Traditional Teaching Mode (TTM), the teaching mode of mobile learning can significantly improve students’ learning effectiveness, skill mastery, and learning enthusiasm. Compared with the TTM, the teaching mode of mobile learning can help college students get a better learning experience. The number of students participated or attended the classes through mobile applications is higher when compared with the other traditional methods.

Aiming at improving the quality of online education, a higher education system based on parallel association rules algorithm is designed. In this study, the functional structure module of the system is divided into six modules, namely, the home page module, course module, teacher module, student module, administrator module, and personal center, so as to carry out a comprehensive treatment for students, teaching, and education resources. On the basis of mining the data association rules of the education system, the parallel association rules algorithm is used to identify and analyze the original data of the system, so as to fundamentally improve the ability of the system to process data and complete the personalized recommendation of educational resources and teaching evaluation feedback. Experiments show that the design system has greater information throughput, a short response time, and a resource utilization rate of more than 90%. In addition, the audio teaching resource plays better, which proves that the system effectively achieves the design expectation.

The paper covers the ways of building foreign language competence of students majoring in electrical engineering in the process of their vocational training. The purpose of the article is the practical substantiation of the process of forming the future energy engineers’ foreign languagecompetence by means of project technology and carrying out diagnostic measures to check its effectiveness in foreign language learning. The methods used in this research are theoretical (analysis, comparison, systematization, generalization), empirical research methods (observations, surveys, pedagogical experiment), and statistical (non-parametric Pearson's criterion.). The results. The efficiency of project technology in the indicated process has been substantiated. A number of factors that determine the choice of such a learning technology has been specified, namely they are the following: student-oriented approach, foreign language learner autonomy, building project-oriented skills in specialty metalanguage, relationship between project work as a form of performing educational assignments and types of engineering activity. Author’s definition of project technology has been provided. By this notion a system of active and practical methods of learner-centered education aimed at programmed organization of students’ project activity, creation of educational projects that involve developing skills of independent knowledge acquisition, their practical handling, development of critical and creative thinking and key competences, is meant. The efficiency of project technology in the educational process has been experimentally verified by the example of developing foreign-language competence of students doing Master’s degree in electrical engineering. In order to determine the efficiency of project technology in the process of foreign language teaching to students in the master’s programme compared to traditional teaching methods, control groups and experimental groups with such attributes as reproductive properties, constructability and creativity were formed. Foreign language competence forming according to motivational, communication, professional, projecting and performance indicators was implemented in the process of executing profession-oriented projects. In order to assess the results of future power engineers’ project work, 100-point scale was developed. Conclusions. According to the results of the performed project work, it was determined that the level of foreign language competence in the experimental groups was higher than the one in the control groups. Generalized maturity indices of motivational, communication, professional, projecting and performance components in the control groups and in the experimental groups differed significantly. Group inhomogeneity and the significant differences were confirmed with the help of statistical non-parametric Pearson’s test χ². The obtained results of the pedagogical experiment have proved the efficiency of the suggested project technology and its rationale for implementing in the process of future electric power engineers’ foreign language teaching.

In this study, we present the results of an assessment of an initiative that seeks to transcend the application of digital information in the higher education sector by recommending an integrative approach that quantifies both the flow of digital information and tutors’ quality impacts concerning technology acceptance model (TAM) constructs and the perceived experience of digital information in education (DIE). There is a mounting evidence that the educational institutions that prioritize the perceived experience and the quality of the tutors do not, generally, take into account the limited exposure to digital information and technologies. Data gathered from a survey of 485 college students were used to evaluate the model and hypotheses. The findings show that users’ perceptions of the value of DIE may depend on several extrinsic conditions that improve their experiences of learning and teaching. The user’s traits, such as technological preparedness, are vital in determining perceived ease of use. In some cultures, the superior quality of the tutor may further increase perceptions of the technology’s perceived usefulness. The intention to adopt technology may also be highly influenced by other variables such as information flow. Therefore, academic institutions must reevaluate the usefulness of digital information technology as a tool for improving educational sections. This research limited its focus to educational environments in which DIE has a significant impact on the teaching and learning setting. Future works may concentrate on health or monetary organizations.

Industrial societies require numerous mechatronics engineers, and most technical universities provide mechatronics exercises in their curriculums. However, it is difficult for teachers and students to modify and improve the mechatronic teaching materials because the provided materials are finished products. Therefore, a simple and inexpensive educational system is developed to overcome the disadvantages of the finished products. In this paper, an experimental apparatus is proposed for mechatronics education, and a practical example is presented that involves learning control methods, sensors, actuators, and mechanics.

Badminton is a sport with relatively delicate and complicated technical movements, which is widely welcomed in China. In order to study the specific impact of the sports game teaching method and traditional teaching method on the three aspects of the badminton learning technology mastery level, interest level, and subjective experience, with the reference of the wireless network to the students and Kinect on the students, in a three-month group teaching of students without foundation in a medical school in this city, the badminton action is broken down and the doubling of the badminton action is detected by WiFi and Kinect, to compare the traditional pedagogy and the method with this paper before and the lesson and to draw out conclusions. The results of the study found that badminton-assisted teaching based on wireless network communication and Kinect can achieve good results. The learning efficiency of students is significantly higher than that of traditional teaching methods, and badminton teaching based on wireless network communication and Kinect can effectively improve students’ interest in learning, 24% higher than the traditional method. This shows that wireless network communication and Kinect technology can play an important role in badminton teaching.

Classical data fusion methods can be roughly divided into two categories: one is based on random methods, such as weighted average, least squares, Kalman filtering, Bayesian estimation, DS evidence inference, and production rules; the other is based on artificial intelligence. Intelligent methods include fuzzy logic reasoning, artificial neural networks, and support vector machine methods. This paper introduces, analyzes, and summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the above methods, as well as the level of use of these methods, and then introduces the current trend of data fusion technology toward the mixed development of multiple methods. This article is aimed at carrying out a research on the innovation of Wushu Sanda teaching mode in colleges and universities based on multisensor data fusion technology. This article puts forward the innovative theory of youth sports training in Sanda in the new era, combined with the current status of physical education in Chinese colleges and universities, and analyzes the practicality of the theory and the effect of system integration. This article accelerates reforms and collects data from four aspects: the policy system at the macro level, the integrated governance system at the meso level, the teacher service system at the micro level, and the digital industry system at the functional innovation level, and proposes innovative strategies for youth sports training and teaching in the new era. The results of the study show that people with 5.99 are more interested in the World Cup, accounting for the largest proportion, while the number of people who are interested in martial arts is the least, only 1.63. The innovative theory of youth sports training in Sanda in the new era improves the training effect of students by 60% compared with ordinary college Sanda training. It can to a large extent protect students from reluctant exercises that do not receive physical education in traditional teaching. Physiologically, it has unique advantages for the development of students. The teaching innovation model of this article can effectively solve the problems of physical education organization difficulty.

The quality of higher education is achieved by compliance with the conditions for the implementation of educational activities and learning outcomes with the requirements of legislation and higher education standards, professional and international standards, as well as the needs of stakeholders and society. Obviously, the requirements, recommendations and opinions of stakeholders play one of the main roles in the process of ensuring the quality of higher education. It should be noted that without ensuring and improving the quality of higher education, it is impossible to obtain accreditation of an educational program (EP) in the relevant specialty. Goal. Obtaining feedback from employers and representatives of the academic community with experience in working and teaching in 141 specialties "Electrical Power Engineering and Electromechanics" to improve the quality of education in the Master's EP "Electric vehicles and energy-saving technologies". Methodology. The method of questioning consists in obtaining information by means of written answers of respondents to a system of standardized questions. Methods of information processing and synthesis method - the study of an object in its integrity, in the unity and interconnection of its parts. Results. An analytical review of decisions on EP and publications on the introduction of innovative teaching methods and methods of maintaining the quality of the educational process into the educational process was carried out. In a number of educational components, the list of literature will be expanded due to the technical documentation of automakers and references to modern research by foreign authors. It is proposed to improve the existing and develop new laboratory and practical work on modern equipment purchased through the CybPhys project and on the equipment of interested employers. It is proposed to expand the practical component of the educational components of the EP related to the cycle of professional training disciplines. It is proposed to add the topic "Alternative power sources" to the cycle of disciplines of the applicant's free choice (professional training section). Originality. It is proposed to conduct practical and laboratory classes and conduct research on the topic of the thesis directly in production and in the daily work of service stations and car service. Practical value. Based on the results of the feedback received from stakeholders, appropriate changes will be made to the courses that will improve the quality of education and make the master's EP "Electric vehicles and energy-saving technologies" even more relevant and relevant for the labor market in the field of electric power, electrical engineering and electromechanics, in particular, with regard to the industry electric vehicles and energy saving technologies.

Purpose The REDINGE2 – Reengineering Engineering Teaching, version 2 – project seeks to transform engineering education practices at the University of los Andes (UNIANDES) by using technology-based active learning strategies in courses from different disciplines that are to be reformed using a Big-ideas approach. Studies from this two-year project (2017-2018) seek to solve three main questions: What changes in engineering teaching conceptions, methods, tools and practices could be generated by reengineering courses using a Big-ideas approach? What changes in key conditions of learning environments have the students perceived in courses that use a Big-ideas approach? What lessons can be derived from the initial studies of REDINGE2’s pilot experiences? Design/methodology/approach The REDINGE2 project was conceived as a technology-based educational transformation initiative. It is the Faculty of Engineering at UNIANDES’ explicit intention to move engineering teaching from being content-focused to being big-ideas focused. It also wants to migrate from teacher-centered teaching strategies to student- and group-centered approaches. Additionally, this project intends to enrich engineering education ecologies with digital resources by integrating experiential, flexible and collaborative digital learning environments with traditional classroom/workshop/library/home/work learning settings. To promote this organic change, the project implemented a facilitation-from-the side strategy, which redesigned 14 engineering courses: each was given a two-year grant from the Office of the Dean of Engineering to rethink teaching practices and redesign the course. A cybernetic evaluation system was embedded in the life cycle of the transformation process that could support decision-making through each of the project’s stages (Stufflebeam, 1971). Questions of interest in this study are provided with information using triangulation of data at different times during each course’s redesign process. Findings After a year and half of the two-year REDINGE2 project (2017-2018), it is possible to say the following three research questions are fully solved. Concerning Question #1: What changes in engineering teaching conceptions, methods, tools and practices contribute to reengineering courses when using a Big-ideas approach? Participating teaching staff have demonstrated changes in their teaching conceptions, methods and resources, which can be attributed to their exposure to active-learning strategies supported by digital technologies. In fact, each one has redesigned and pilot tested at least one restructured learning unit for one of their courses according to the proposed Big-ideas approach; in addition, most admit to already having adjusted their teaching practices by changing their mindset regarding learning and how to promote it. Concerning Question #2: What changes in key conditions of learning environments have the students perceived in courses that have been redesigned using a Big-ideas approach? Data collected from students and participating staff members, both before the redesign and throughout this process, have provided teachers and students with feedback concerning perceived changes in learning environments. This has had positive results and provided opportunities for improvement. Concerning Question #3: What lessons can be derived from REDINGE2’s pilot experiences? Lessons from this project are multi-dimensional and there are organizational, pedagogic, technological and cultural considerations. A decalogue of critical success factors was established, which considered the things that must go right to successfully accomplish proposed educational transformations. Research limitations/implications This study is a good case of educational transformations in engineering teaching. No generalizations should be made, but it shows that similar processes of planned change can be made in tertiary science, math, engineering and technology (SMET) education. Practical implications The lessons learned from this experience are very valuable for higher education decision-makers who want to innovate by using learning ecologies in their institutions. In addition, theoretical considerations that illuminate the innovation process become very useful to help provide a foundation to similar interventions. Originality/value A non-conventional approach to integrate digital technologies in higher education teaching is the most significant contribution this experience has made. Its focus has been to transform educational practices with pedagogically sound uses of digital technologies instead of just integrating technologies in current SMET teaching practices. Facilitation-from-the-side and embedded cybernetic evaluation through the transformation process are key ideas that add value to organic change processes.

The study investigated the effect of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) on Students’ Academic Achievement in Digital Electronics in Ken Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic, Bori, Rivers State, South-South, Nigeria. Quasi-experimental pre-test post-test control design was used in the study. The sample of the study comprised 84 Higher National Diploma (HND) final year students of electrical and electronic engineering (Telecommunications and electronics option). Three research questions and one hypothesis were formulated and tested at 0.05 level of significance guided the study. The instrument used for data collection was a 20-item Digital Electronics Achievement Test Questionnaire (DEATQ) designed by the researcher and validated by two experts in electrical and electronic engineering from Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri, Imo State. Kuder-Richardson formula was used to obtain the instrument’s reliability coefficient as 0.87. Mean and t-test were used to answer the research questions and test the hypothesis at 0.05 level of significance. The findings of the study revealed among others that problem-based learning enhances students’ academic achievement in Digital Electronics. Consequently, it was recommended among others that engineering technology lecturers in Nigerian polytechnics and universities should use more of PBL and other student-centred teaching strategies in instructional delivery in order to boost students’ achievement in technology-based courses.

This paper evaluates the scope and relative unfeasibility of communicative language teaching (CLT) that was introduced at higher secondary level in Bangladesh to innovate English language teaching (ELT) by replacing grammar translation method (GTM). To substantiate the evaluation, a survey intended to determine the feasibility and relative drawbacks of CLT was made. A total of 100 teachers and 100 students participated in the survey of 10 different colleges of Dhaka and Khulna metropolitan cities of Bangladesh and two different questionnaires were used to collect quantitative data from randomly selected teachers and students. The study reveals that most of the EFL students in Bangladesh could not succeed in learning English language through CLT in spite of studying it for twelve years at their secondary and higher secondary levels. The paper also examines multifaceted problems affecting English language teaching and learning through CLT such as most of the classrooms of Bengali medium colleges are not well-furnished with modern language teaching equipment, lack of training and teaching materials, student’s lack of background knowledge, motivation etc. Therefore, the real outcome of CLT in Bangladesh could not meet the initial dream and promise with which it was introduced and eventually became inappropriate and ineffective.This article critically evaluates CLT focusing on multiple barriers and factors instrumental for the failure of the approach at higher secondary level in Bangladesh. Finally, the study concludes with several recommendations to promote English language teaching at higher secondary level in Bangladesh.

Training the next generation of industrial engineers and managers is a constant challenge for academia, given the fast changes of industrial technology. The current and predicted development trends in applied technologies affecting industry worldwide as formulated in the Industry 4.0 initiative have clearly emphasized the needs for constantly adapting curricula. The sensible socioeconomic changes generated by the COVID-19 pandemic have induced significant challenges to society in general and industry. Higher education, specifically when dealing with Industry 4.0, must take these new challenges rapidly into account. Modernization of the industrial engineering curriculum combined with its migration to a blended teaching landscape must be updated in real-time with real-world cases. The COVID-19 crisis provides, paradoxically, an opportunity for dealing with the challenges of training industrial engineers to confront a virtual dematerialized work model which has accelerated during and will remain for the foreseeable future after the pandemic. The paper describes the methodology used for adapting, enhancing, and evaluating the learning and teaching experience under the urgent and unexpected challenges to move from face-to-face university courses distant and online teaching. The methodology we describe is built on a process that started before the onset of the pandemic, hence in the paper we start by describing the pre-COVID-19 status in comparison to published initiatives followed by the real time modifications we introduced in the faculty to adapt to the post-COVID-19 teaching/learning era. The focus presented is on Industry 4.0. subjects at the leading edge of the technology changes affecting the industrial engineering and technology management field. The manuscript addresses the flow from system design subjects to implementation areas of the curriculum, including practical examples and the rapid decisions and changes made to encompass the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on content and teaching methods including feedback received from participants.

The workforce’s competency defines the efficiency of production in the country and, therefore, the welfare of the population. Higher education institutions play a considerable role in this as they prepare the workforce for the organizations in the country. Designing a high-quality workforce requires universities to keep up with the new technologies and innovations in higher education. Thus, managing innovation is the highest priority for higher education institutions. The present article aims to investigate the perceptions developed among the teaching personnel of higher education institutions, which will serve as an evaluator of innovation management efficiency. The research method has been adapted to fit the research problem and goals. The limitations of the research are that it is limited to several universities located in one city and may not fully reflect the situation in other cities. To fulfill this aim, an expert interview has been prepared, which assesses the perception and attitude towards innovations and innovation management efficiency. The analysis incorporated answers of 20 respondents employed at higher education institutions. The expert interview answers have been categorized and synthesized to reveal the hidden patterns and prepare practical recommendations for policymakers and future researchers. The analysis findings are that the teaching personnel has sufficient knowledge of the innovations in the educational sphere. Moreover, they are willing to engage in innovative processes by creating or using existing solutions. However, the study reveals funding-related issues and a necessity to adjust the university remuneration and internal policy to motivate greater engagement in innovation management.

In the new age of an online teaching-learning process, present instructional approach expects students to be an active learner, which necessitates a new instructional tool that can provide opportunity for active learning. The use of technology in teaching-learning has become a key factor which helps in conceptual understanding. Simulation being one of the valuable instructional tools renders an opportunity to visualize the concepts and facilitate to build the mental model. The present work proposes a study of electrical circuit experiments performed using open source tools such as XCOS and expEYES. These tools facilitate in developing higher order critical thinking and analysis skill. XCOS being one of the tools in Scilab provides the visual simulation environment for varying the input parameters of the model. The RL, RC, and RLC tuning circuits are virtually modeled by using the XCOS and the real circuits made with expEYES, which facilitates the study of response curves with ease. In the later case, the results obtained by using expEYES compared with the results of XCOS. In addition, the study explains how such response of simple linear circuits can be extended in different applications. Demonstrations and visualization of the response curve and phase flow of linear circuits will overlay the way to understand experimental and numerical results. This innovative approach can be used in the classroom demonstration of a harmonic oscillator and resonant circuits in advance level physics and engineering laboratories.

Teaching Chinese as a foreign language is a very important part of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and morphemes account for a large proportion of Chinese characters. In this paper, a questionnaire survey on the cognition of morphemes was conducted for each grade of students in the School of International Cultural Education of Heilongjiang University. Through the survey, it was concluded that international students in the Chinese culture circle and non-Chinese culture circle affect the cognition of morphemes at the primary stage, and a study on the teaching of morphemes in teaching Chinese as a foreign language based on the assistance of Internet of Things was proposed to analyze that students learning Chinese no longer affect the cognition of morphemes. In teaching Chinese as a foreign language, the use of the Internet of Things system and the introduction of video sensors (mainly for the access and computer analysis of spoken Chinese as a foreign language learner model) and voice sensor (mainly for the Chinese as a foreign language learner voice access and computer analysis), with the standard spoken language pattern in the software and the comparison of standard pronunciation, the oral mode and pronunciation of TCSL learners can be corrected. The experiment knows the biases that international students are prone to when learning Chinese characters and summarizes the implications for teaching Chinese characters to foreigners; in addition, the higher the level of learning, the higher is the degree of cognition of morphophonetic characters.

Harmonics in supply voltage or load current in a transformer have undesirable effects on the core and windings. As the harmonic content increases, higher core loss and eddy current loss in the windings results in higher operating temperatures. It causes magnetic flux density in the core to increase and shifts the operating point through the saturated region. This phenomenon is mostly taught in undergraduate education as theoretical information. However, as a difficult concept to understand, harmonics phenomenon might be taught by using experiments for active learning, visualizing the effects in a laboratory setting, and making the connection between theoretical and practical applications for deeper and meaningful learning. In this study, a teaching method for effects of harmonics is proposed and phase shift between the fundamental and harmonic component of the supply voltage on the transformer B–H characteristic in a laboratory application is introduced by an experimental work performed on toroidal transformers. Feedback from students shows that the proposed method is very efficient and useful for students to better understand the effects of harmonics on the transformer cores.

With the popularity of neural networks and the maturity of network technology, fully functional intelligent terminals have become indispensable devices for people’s lives, research, and entertainment. However, in the badminton teaching of people’s daily exercise, the old traditional teaching mode is still used, which cannot achieve good teaching effects. In order to study the best of badminton teaching, this article is based on the previous research, by introducing neural network, using literature data method, questionnaire survey method, interview method, experimental method, and other research methods to conduct research. The intelligent learning of the network is connected, experiments are designed to be applied, and then, data analysis is conducted. The research results show that with the use of smartphone mobile learning teaching methods, the experimental group students’ technical movements, theoretical knowledge, learning interest, and learning enthusiasm are about 20% higher than those of the control group, and the badminton intelligent teaching system based on neural network is better than the control group’s traditional teaching methods. The satisfaction of the students in the experimental group was also higher than that of the students in the control group. Based on what network, the satisfaction of badminton teaching can reach more than 90%. This student recognizes and accepts the teaching methods of intelligent teaching.

Teaching robotics to young students can increase their ability to be creative, innovative thinkers and more productive members of society throughout their school years. Indian government have already recognized the importance of robotics in the classroom teaching and started ATAL tinkering lab to be included in school education system. By teaching the basics of robotics to the students, one can open up a whole new world for them and exciting opportunities which they wouldn't have access to. In traditional teaching methods of science and engineering, students lack experience in applying physical principles to the physical situation in real time. Students are not engaged in creating interest in interactive learning. To overcome above problem, this paper presents a new and versatile interactive learning tool using the Whizbrabo Robotic Education Module. This module describes the method of an educational tool based on robotics to study electrical component interfacing, pcb design, mechanical structure design and elementary programming skill. The module has been demonstrated to school students of higher secondary, and undergraduate student of various colleges. The key advantages of robotics in school education will enhance the level of programming, creativity and prepare them for the future, turn their frustration into innovation and promote inclusiveness. Robotics has a lot of educational potential.

The objective of this article is to identify the results of the functionality of the learning platform and its effect on the satisfaction of mechanical and electrical engineering students, the results will serve as a basis for the continuous improvement of teaching-learning online from the higher institution. The research findings indicate that the indicators that present a better perception regarding the functionality of the learning platform are related to the design and ease of navigation. However, 21.4% of the students are not entirely satisfied with its functionality due to the technical problems presented when downloading the study material. According to the results, we can point out that the functionality of the learning platform generates an effect of 70.87% on student satisfaction, the relationship was validated through the Chi-square test, in which it is determined that the indicators that generate a Greater satisfaction in students refers to the design, availability (connectivity) and the ease of communication and interaction with the teacher and classmates.

This article takes undergraduates as the research object and aims at the application characteristics of local higher education institutions, combined with the purpose of higher technical personnel training, application practical ability, and innovation ability, to establish a training system for college students with innovation ability suitable for engineering application undergraduate talent training mode, and improve students’ research and innovation ability and engineering practice ability. This article proposes to organically integrate virtualization technology with undergraduate students’ engineering innovation ability training courses, explore virtual technology experimental models, cognitive models, promote student self-study and student mutual learning, where students actively participate, and strengthen student innovation and creativity training. Improve the ability of design and transform teacher education into student-centered. The results of the study show that students’ innovative ability generally accounts for 56%, and the effects of innovative activities organized by schools generally account for as high as 70%. Students are generally not very enthusiastic about innovation.

Based on the theory of grey correlation, the hierarchical teaching quality evaluation and knowledge system structure of the curriculum are established. Using the optimal clustering method, the teaching quality assessment and knowledge system construction at the curriculum level were obtained, and the grey correlation method was used to study the teaching at the course level. Through the evaluation of the discipline level and the discipline level and the construction of the knowledge system, the evaluation of the discipline level and the construction of the discipline knowledge system are achieved. The study found that the correlation between the curriculum grading teaching and the establishment of the knowledge system using the grey correlation method was higher than 0.900, the evaluation and knowledge system of the curriculum grading teaching were better evaluated, and the selection and retesting of evaluation indicators exceeded 0.700.

This study describes how wearable devices can be used in elementary schools to compare some aspects of different teaching approaches. Upper arm wearables were used as an objective tool to compare three approaches when teaching science: (i) classical frontal teaching, (ii) embodied (kinesthetic) teaching, and (iii) a distance teaching approach. Using the wearables, the approaches were compared in terms of their impact on students’ psychological arousal and perceived well-being. In addition, short-term and long-term knowledge gain and physiological synchronization between teacher and students during the lecture were assessed. A synchronization index was defined to estimate the degree of physiological synchronization. During distance teaching, by means of measurements with wearables, students were significantly less physically active and significantly less psychologically aroused. Embodied teaching allowed significantly higher physical activation than during the other two approaches. The synchronization index for all three teaching approaches was positive with the highest values for distance and frontal teaching. Moreover, knowledge gain immediately after the embodied lessons was higher than after frontal lessons. No significant differences in the long-term knowledge retention between the three different teaching methods were found. This pilot study proved that wearables are a useful tool in research in the field of education and have the potential to contribute to a deeper understanding of the mechanisms involved in learning, even in complex environments such as an elementary school classroom.

This paper presents an in-depth study and analysis of the design and implementation of English listening instruction using wireless sensing microprocessors combined with the technology of virtual environments. Inaccurate speech hinders smooth communication and restricts the development of various skills in foreign language learning. To learn English well, mastering phonetics is a crucial first step. Especially for learners in junior and senior high schools, phonics teaching is considered an essential part. In the face of the new standards which put higher demands on phonetic intonation, the traditional methods of teaching phonetics have little effect on improving phonetics and are even somewhat overwhelming. Therefore, increased researchers are trying to find effective phonics teaching methods to improve the current problems in high school phonics teaching. Important definitions of virtual reality, augmented reality, and teaching resources are collected and organized, typical applications of augmented reality in education at the present stage are summarized, important events in the development of augmented reality are reviewed, key technologies of augmented reality are briefly described, hardware and software resources required to realize the effect of augmented reality are introduced, and pedagogical theories underlying the study of augmented reality in English teaching resources are discussed. The results of the student walk-through quizzes are analyzed using SPSS with independent sample t -tests, and the distribution of the number of scores is statistically analyzed in the form of graphs, and interviews with students and teachers are used to gain a deeper understanding of the effectiveness of the resource in teaching practice. The value of the application of the augmented reality primary school English teaching resource is explored.

The purpose is to study the interactive teaching mode of human action recognition technology in music and dance teaching under computer vision. The human action detection and recognition system based on a three-dimensional (3D) convolutional neural network (CNN) is established. Then, a human action recognition model based on the dual channel is proposed on the basis of CNN, and the visual attention mechanism using the interframe differential channel is introduced into the model. Through experiments, the performance of the system in the process of human dance image recognition based on the Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan (KTH) dataset is verified. The results show that the dual-channel 3D CNN human action recognition system can achieve high accuracy in the first few rounds of training after the frame difference channel is added, the error can be reduced quickly, and the convergence can start quickly; the recognition accuracy of the system on KTH dataset is 96.6%, which is higher than that of other methods; for 3 × 3 × 3 basic convolution kernel, the best performance of the classification network can be obtained by pushing forward 0.0091 seconds in the calculation. Thereby, the dual-channel 3D CNN recognition system has good human action recognition accuracy in the dance interactive teaching mode of music teaching.

Globally, <span>teaching methods and tools in higher education institutions (HEIs) have changed nowadays. Many attempts have been made in Jordanian higher education institutions (JHEIs) in order to improve and continuity of the educational process, especially during coronavirus pandemic. The outbreak of this virus has become a major disruption where all Jordanian universities cancelled classes and moved toward online learning, and mobile learning (ML) has appeared as one of the possible solutions. ML is in its early stages at JHEIs, and it is academically unexplored enough. So, this study explores the ML experience at JHEIs during coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) crisis. The data were collected using a web survey where 272 students in JHEIs participated. The results revealed that the smartphone is the most widely used mobile device for ML ML is easy to use, ML increases the interaction between the instructor and the students and among the students themselves, ML has a positive impact on students’ performance, and also students are willing to use ML in the future. The outcomes of the study support policy makers at JHEIs to make educational decisions relating ML phenomenon.</span>

People are realizing that linguistic competence is a vital aspect of communicative competence as language study and instruction have progressed. Grammar instruction is not only important but also the primary means of achieving communication skills in foreign language classes. This article focuses on the computer vision and machine learning-based virtual reality technology college English immersive context teaching approach. The goal is to increase pupils’ capacity to learn English. The experimental groups used VR innovation immersive environment education from the standpoint of constructivist theory in a compared teaching experiment with 2 classifications of freshman at a university, while the control class used standard multimedia equipment and conventional teaching techniques. Students only passively acquire a lot of material from instructors in the class, they have limited opportunity to engage in the exchange of information and express thoughts in the chosen language, and they are “immersed” in the Chinese environment most of the time. With an average score of 2.8 points higher than the control group, the overall English level was likewise higher. English teaching system based on computer big data method, optimization of oral English teaching system based on computer-aided technology, and artificial intelligence are the existing methods used for comparison. This demonstrates that using constructivism theory and virtual reality technology in college English immersing contextual education may genuinely increase students’ English levels.

The rapid development of modern science and technology has led to the increasing scale of production systems and the formation of large and complex systems, resulting in the increasing complexity of control objects, controllers, and control tasks and purposes. The problem of how to better play the nurturing function of professional courses and realize the combination of knowledge transfer and value leadership is addressed. Compared with traditional teaching methods, the combination of mental health knowledge and ideological and political content can effectively improve the life satisfaction of college students and thus promote the completion of teaching objectives. Based on the background of the current new social development, the values of college students are gradually tending to diversify, which brings certain difficulties to the development of thought and politics teaching in schools. In the new era, the psychological health and thought dynamics of college students are getting more and more attention from the society and schools. To establish positive and healthy “three views,” students are closely related to teaching of psychological fitness and thought and politics teaching. In this paper, we study the influence model of thought and politics teaching based on fuzzy control algorithm (FL) in order to achieve a scientific and systematic teaching method and good teaching effect. In this paper, the construction of FL-based thought and politics teaching students’ mental health influence model is studied, in order to achieve a scientific and systematic teaching method and good teaching effect. The experimental results show that the average correct rate of the endpoints corresponding to the endpoints detected by FL’s thought and politics teaching model is 76.99%, which is 42.85% higher than that of the nonlinear SISO system algorithm. Therefore, the endpoint detection algorithm of FL’s thought and politics teaching model combined with amplitude and phase information has a higher correct rate. Therefore, this paper can analyze the psychology of different groups of college students, so as to draw more accurate conclusions in the field of student psychology, and then improve the psychological health of individual college students. Therefore, the research in this paper can meet the intrinsic requirements of the psychological and ideological health development of college students, strengthen the theoretical research on the infiltration of teaching of psychological fitness into the teaching of civics, improve the teaching mode, and innovate the educational methods.

The key to improve the college English education is to improve the quality of education, and learning evaluation is the key measure to improve the quality of education and training. This paper mainly studies the college English teaching quality evaluation system based on information fusion and optimized RBF neural network decision algorithm. This paper analyzes the main problems and complexity of creating an ideal learning quality evaluation system. On the basis of analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the previous learning quality evaluation methods, this paper summarizes the existing learning quality evaluation methods and puts forward some suggestions according to the existing evaluation methods. A learning quality evaluation model based on RBF algorithm of neural network is proposed. RBF regularization network method, RBF neural network decision algorithm, and experimental investigation method are used to study the college English teaching quality evaluation system based on information fusion and optimization of RBF neural network decision algorithm. By innovating teaching methods and enriching teaching means, college students’ thirst for English knowledge can be aroused, and teachers’ teaching level can be improved. The results show that 50% of college students think that the level of college English teaching is average and needs to be improved. In the performance evaluation system of college English teaching quality based on information fusion and optimized RBF neural network decision algorithm, it is necessary to establish a learning evaluation system, monitor the learning quality in real time, find problems and improve them in time, and recognize the current situation of education.

Innovative educational adaptations have been essential during the COVID-19 pandemic. Against the backdrop of school closures in Hong Kong resulting from unrest and COVID-19, this study proposed using problem-based learning (PBL) in online courses and empirically examined the influence of the PBL learning methodology on online learners’ sense of classroom belonging and academic performance. A total of 44 sophomores pursuing electrical and electronic engineering majors and taking “Practical Chinese for engineering students” as a compulsory course at the University of Hong Kong participated in the study. They were divided evenly between the experimental group C1 and the control group C2 (22 in each). We implemented online PBL learning for the experimental group, C1, and traditional online learning for the control group, C2. Quantitative data were collected via an achievement test and a scale on sense of classroom community. Qualitative data were obtained through a semi-structured focus group discussion. The quantitative results showed that the students who received the PBL learning method scored higher on tests, experienced a stronger sense of classroom belonging, and had closer connections with each other. A content analysis of student interviews revealed that implementation of the PBL learning method in online teaching could strengthen students’ classroom interactions and that the enhancement of their mutual connections could stimulate learning and improve learning efficiency. Overall, this study finds that the PBL learning method is effective in promoting students’ deep active learning and sense of community in the online environment.

Using music education as a means to continuously improve the music aesthetic quality of the new generation of young people and establish music aesthetic concepts is an important entry point to improve the quality of the whole people. But the current colleges and universities basically still focus on the traditional education and teaching methods, largely ignoring the importance of music education. In order to improve the comprehensive quality of college students, this paper introduces Internet information technology into the study of music system. The experimental results show that the research on the application of Internet information technology in the music system of colleges and universities can save time and management costs to a great extent and increase the efficiency of educational resources by 3.58%. At the same time, it can implement dynamic music evaluation, reasonably arrange students’ daily music training plans, improve students’ comprehensive quality and music literacy, and integrate music education into students’ lives, so as to increase the effect of music education to a great extent. Besides after the Internet information technology is applied to the music teaching system, the system can be linked with the network platform and resources, which greatly enriched teaching materials for music and information technology.

<p>Hepatitis B is an inflammatory disease of the liver which is caused by Hepatitis B Virus. It is a global problem, with 66% of all the population living in areas where there are high levels of infections. Hepatitis B infection may be due to lapses in the sterilization of instruments as well as improper waste management. Knowledge regarding Hepatitis B and safety precautions is needed to minimize the health care setting’s acquired infections among health personnel and students of health Science. The objectives of the study are: (a) To assess the knowledge regarding Hepatitis B prevention among African Students of Health Sciences (b) To evaluate the effectiveness of the structured teaching program regarding knowledge on prevention of hepatitis B among the students. A Quasi-experimental design was adopted and a sample of 50 African students were selected by non-probability purposive sampling technique. Data was collected by administering structured questionnaire before and after the implementation of structured teaching program. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics and represented in tables and graphs. In the present study 66% of respondents had inadequate knowledge regarding Hepatitis B prevention before the implementation of structured teaching Program. But after the implementation of structured teaching program, 14% had moderate score and remaining 86% had adequate knowledge. The findings of the study revealed that the mean Post-test knowledge score (26.06) of the students exposed to structured teaching program was higher than the mean Pretest knowledge score (15.74) which was tested to be significant at P- value of 0.001 levels, which indicates the structured teaching program was effective. The overall findings of the study showed that there was a significant improvement in the knowledge scores after the administration of structured teaching program. Hence it can be concluded that structured teaching program was effective in improving the knowledge of African students regarding hepatitis B prevention.</p>
