Vehicles are classified as a mobile source of pollution worldwide. This problem is compounded in countries like India, where the population is enormous, and the number of automobiles increases quickly. To overcome this issue, governments and individuals must adopt electric vehicles and maximize the use of eco-friendly vehicles. However, the adoption of electric vehicles in India is gradual. One of the reasons is the attitude towards traditional and electric vehicles. This study’s primary objective is to determine how attitude influences the adoption of electric vehicles. The topic is vital since the attitude provided by numerous studies influences the intention to buy anything. This study considered one dependent variable (electric vehicle adoption) and one mediating variable (attitude) along with five independent variables. The data collection method was straightforward, and the sample size was 366 respondents. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA), structural equation modeling (SEM), and mediation analysis were used to analyze the data. All adopted constructs were trustworthy, with average variance extracted exceeding 0.55, composite reliability exceeding 0.75, and factor loadings exceeding 0.70 for most. The model fit indices were also found to be significant on several parameters. Among all other variables, only financial incentives affect electric vehicle adoption. In other circumstances, opinions did not influence customer uptake of electric vehicles.

Electric vehicles are an important option for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Electric vehicles not only reduce dependence on fossil fuels, but also reduce the impact of ozone-depleting substances and promote widespread adoption of renewable energies. Despite extensive research into the properties and characteristics of electric vehicles as well as the nature of their charging infrastructure, electric vehicle construction and grid modeling continue to evolve and become limited. regime. This paper presents market penetration surveys for electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and battery electric vehicles, and describes optimal engineering and modeling approaches. their differences. Research on critical barriers and inadequate charging equipment targets developing countries like India, which makes the study unique. The development of the new Vehicle to Grid concept has created additional energy sources when renewable energy sources are not available. We conclude that considering the specific characteristics of an electric vehicle is important in the mobility of the electric vehicle.

The Paper aims to look for aspects that influence a consumer's decision to acquire an electric vehicle. India has the greatest EV market in the world, particularly for two-wheelers. The penetration of electric vehicles has greatly increased over the past years as a result of numerous automakers releasing these vehicles at a quick rate. By 2025, the market for electric vehicles (EVs) is expected to be worth at least 475 billion, according to a recent study. By 2025, the percentage of electrified two-wheelers is predicted to increase to up to 15% from the current 1% penetration rate. Environmental pollution is currently a major problem worldwide. Toxic emissions from internal combustion engines are a major source of air pollution. The globe is actively promoting electric cars (EVs) to address environmental issues and counteract the consequences of fossil fuel pollution (ECs). The Indian government desires "only Electric Vehicles" to be on the roads by 2030.

India is an emerging country with a huge market. With the fast-developing infrastructure, the economy is growing rapidly. India is also facing a lot of problems such as air pollution, traffic congestion and accidents, and expensive energy costs. As a result, the Indian government has set a goal to reduce the country's dependence on fossil fuels by increasing the share of electric vehicles in the country’s car fleet from less than 1% now to 7% by 2022. To achieve this goal, three types of EV models are available for sale in India: hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs); plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs); and battery electric vehicles (BEVs). The BEV is the most advanced technology, with a high-capacity lithium-ion battery that can be recharged from an external source. The objective of the study is to define, elaborate and predict the market segmentation for electric vehicles (EVs) in India. The study will provide an overview of market segmentation for EVs in India. In the end, the study concludes that the market segmentation will be helpful in several ways such as it helps to make your target market clear and also helps to enhance the chances of Electric Vehicles product acceptance in India. In order to increase market share, marketers must develop a strong strategy focusing on the target segment.

The road transport sector in India is on the cusp of a transition to battery electric vehicles (BEVs) from internal combustion engines (ICEs). Government of India (GoI) has announced several policy measures to push the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs). However, EVs involve a high capital cost but lower operating costs. Therefore, the economics of EVs vis-à-vis ICE vehicles depends on the extent of their daily use. The daily use, in turn, can vary significantly from context to context. In this paper, a model to compare the total cost of ownership (TCO) of an EV with different fuel variants (petrol, diesel, and compressed natural gas [CNG]) of their ICE counterparts is presented. It is found that, on an average, the TCO per km of electric two-wheelers (e-2Ws) and electric three-wheelers (e-3Ws) is less than their ICE counterparts at the typical average daily usage of the vehicles in Indian cities. In the case of hatchback and sedan cars, the TCO per km of electric cars (e-cars) is higher than their ICE counterparts. The TCO per km of electric bus (e-bus) is higher than diesel and CNG buses because of high initial purchase cost. Policymakers need to explore innovative business models and strategy for high vehicle utilization to improve the economic viability of EVs. Efficient planning of charging infrastructure and fast charging options will further help in accelerating the adoption of EVs in India.

This article presents an overview of the technology status and market trends of LPG-fueled vehicles through the literature approach to re-evaluate their future. In the review, it is discovered that LPG vehicles are globally increasing, though with a concentration in some countries. Of the 25 countries included in the World LPG Association (WLPGA) annual report 2018, Turkey, Poland, India, Ukraine, and Mexico are the countries with the best LPG vehicle trends in average of 23%. Meanwhile, Australia, Japan, South Korea, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, and Germany with a long history of implementing LPG as an alternative fuel has experienced a decline in the 2013-2017 period by 17%. This was allegedly due to the penetration of diesel-fueled vehicles over the last ten years. Moreover, developed countries experiencing decline have succeeded in developing electric-based vehicles such as Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV), Plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV) due to stringent demands for emission standards.

Electric vehicles are an emerging and evolving technology that brings in remarkable environmental gains over conventional vehicles, contributing significantly towards a decrease in fossil fuel dependence. However, infiltrating into the existing automobile market requires huge investment in charging facilities and intricate planning to make it more approachable to the consumers. Identifying the crucial challenges and finding a solution has been a major hurdle to the manufacturers. While various non-government agencies and government policies are urging both consumers and manufacturers to adopt electric mobility, many industries remain unguided. The paper aims to identify, study, and rank 12 of these influential challenges faced by the manufacturers based on their impact on enhancing the manufacturing and sales of electric vehicles in India using the triangular fuzzy number (TFN) method. Results obtained reveal that inadequate charging infrastructure is one of the biggest hurdles.

In this decade, <span>electric car technology has advanced at a breakneck pace. People are also using electric vehicles more since they are more inexpensive. Electric car charging is one of the issues that most sectors confront, as there are many cities in India where charging stations have yet to be established. In this paper, an innovative approach for charging a vehicle while on the move is presented, utilising the solar panels on the vehicle's roof. The panels collect energy from the sun and use it to charge the vehicle's battery. Even when the vehicle is driving down the road, this happens. Partial shading is a concern for solar panels when travelling on the road. In this paper, a new hybrid optimization technique combining grey wolf optimization and crow search algorithms (GWO-CSA) is employed to compare an electric car model to the traditional particle swarm optimization (PSO) approach. The MATLAB simulation results demonstrate the vehicle's performance and tracking efficiency.</span>

Abstract: Electric vehicles (EVs) have the potential to reduce negative effects on the environment and are increasingly used in developing countries like India in the logistics sector. The purpose of this paper is to aid business operations in the logistics sector through better vehicle ergonomics as well as driver training methods. The introduction of Electric Mini Trucks in India aims to be a game changer by eradicating many of the existing issues faced with ICE Mini Trucks such as health related conditions caused by the vibrations, poor ride quality and driver discomfort. For an Electric Vehicle to be used in a safe and effective manner some additional design characteristics have to be kept in mind to adjust for the lack of formal training for most vehicle drivers who are already operating under road conditions that are cognitive overloads. Hence, in addition to the normal range anxiety, the thermal monitoring of the battery pack and energy consumption have to be reported with proven continuous feedback mechanisms.

Abstract: The design and development of a micro mobility electric vehicle are detailed in this work. Since the last ten years, gasoline prices have increased in India, and air pollution is a major global concern. The majority of the city's air pollution comes from traditional power plants, but the vehicles that are driven around the populous areas also add to the problem. As the amount of green space in major cities is drastically decreasing, tiny mobility electric vehicles are becoming more and more popular as a form of urban transportation. Small, ultra-lightweight electric vehicles with long ranges may be the preferred mode of transportation. Due to growing concerns over issues including fuel prices, pollution, and increased traffic, electric vehicle (ev) are gaining popularity , as a vehicle an ev is quiet easy to operate and does not have the fuel costs associated with conventional vehicles, it is highly useful electric scooters work simply when the rider uses throttle , electric signals go from the throttle through wires to the controller , which instructs the battery to release electric energy to one or two motor in the wheels. the motor transforms that energy into a movement of the wheels , and the ev moves forward. Most of the component of system are either electric or electronic which are almost maintenance free for long duration. In the presented paper, the authors tried to prototype the concept that reduces overall cost of the vehicle with higher range of operation and with moderate speed such that the daily commuters in the city are benefited.

This study gives a general overview of the social, economic, and environmental impacts of electric vehicles (EVs) in India. The growing threats of global warming, excessive petrol dependence, ever increasing prices of fuel, and driving trends are just a selection of reasons which have accelerated the development of EV since the transport sector also represents a critical percentage of greenhouse gas emission. The aim of this study is to compare and analyze the development of the EV market and the government support in making the trend and accelerating it to save the nation and the world from pollution in India. Electric vehicles have huge potential from a user perspective. In the coming years, EVs will have a very important role in smart transportation and smart cities, along with shared mobility, mass transport, etc. Therefore, more efforts to facilitate the charging process and to improve batteries are needed. In a thrust towards incentivizing new age technologies and reducing its carbon emissions to net-zero by the year 2070, India is aggressively promoting the adoption of EVs. India aims to switch 30% of private cars, 70% of commercial vehicles, and 80%of two and three-wheelers to EVs by the year 2030. Increase percentage of renewable energy in the electricity mix and prevent air pollution caused from battery manufacturing. The recommended policies can be accepted by any market globally for reducing air pollution through increased adoption of electric vehicles. The environmental considerations of electric mobility challenges exist in terms of environmental impacts generated by the rising demand for electric vehicles.

Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) can help decarbonize road transport in urban India. To accelerate the diffusion of PHEVs, investigation of commuter preferences towards the attributes of PHEVs is necessary. Therefore, the present study analyzes prospective owners’ choice decisions towards PHEVs in a typical Indian context. A stated preference survey was designed to collect responses from the current owners of conventional vehicles (CVs) in Delhi, India, and Mixed Logit (ML) models were developed to estimate commuters’ Willingness To Pay (WTP) for a set of key PHEV-specific attributes. The decomposition effect of prospective owners’ sociodemographic characteristics and trip characteristics on the mean estimates of random parameters was investigated by developing ML models with heterogeneity. Subsequently, the influence of improvement of each PHEV-specific attribute on prospective owners’ choice probability was investigated by calculating marginal effects. Among the various PHEV-specific attributes considered in the present study, high WTPs are observed for decrease in battery recharging time, reduction in tailpipe emission and increase in electric range. Therefore, an added emphasis on these attributes by vehicle manufacturers is likely to enhance the attractiveness of PHEVs to Indian commuters. The results also highlight the importance of government subsidy for promoting PHEVs in the Indian market. Prospective owners’ income, availability of home-based parking space, and average daily trip length are found to significantly influence the choice decision of Indian commuters towards PHEVs.

India's commitment to Electric Vehicles (EV) is a prime program furthering the country's achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) number 7. However, in spite of the much-needed policy push, EV adoption in India has been slow, both in private ownership and in public mobility. The average Indian commuter still depends heavily on public transport such as public buses, railways and rickshaws. Thus, the success of the EV transition in India lies in the speed with which e-vehicles can be developed and adopted in public transport solutions. This study assesses the feasibility of converting the public transport fleet (buses and 3 wheelers) into e-vehicles for the city of Pune. Pune records high per capita private vehicle ownership, resulting in high traffic congestion, traffic indiscipline issues and high vehicular fatalities. It is thus imperative that not only should public transport usage increase in the city, but it should also be electric, such that sustainability goals are achieved. This study presents a techno-economic analysis of greening Pune's public transport fleet. This paper begins with section 1, which introduces the EV landscape in India. Section 2 details the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) framework, which evaluates financial costs associated with EVs in public transport fleets. Section 3 presents model results from the TCO analysis. Payback calculations are also presented to understand the minimum number of years to realise EV investment payback. Section 4 finally concludes this paper by presenting demand-side and supply-side interventions for a speedy EV transition for public transport fleets in Pune Metro Region.
