Повний текст джерелаO presente trabalho propôs uma metodologia para definir o sistema de propulsão elétrica para PSVs. A metodologia foi aplicada para um caso estudo: o projeto conceitual de um PSV para operar nos campos do pré-sal na Bacia de Santos. Primeiramente, as quatro diferentes alternativas de sistemas de propulsão elétrica para PSV são apresentadas e dimensionadas. A primeira alternativa tem motores de indução como motores de propulsão principal, a segunda alternativa tem motores síncronos como motores de propulsão principal; a terceira e quarta alternativas são as mesmas que a primeira e a segunda, respectivamente, com um banco de baterias conectado ao quadro principal. Cada um dos quatro arranjos foi considerado com duas opções para Diesel geradores: Diesel geradores de alta e média rotação. A massa, volumem, consumo de combustível, emissão de gases e os custos capitais de referência para cada arranjo são estimados e analisados. Adicionalmente, uma análise económica usando o Valor Presente Líquido (VPL) é feita. A metodologia finaliza com o Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) para apoiar o processo de escolha de alternativa. Alguns dos parâmetros obtidos para cada arranjo (massa, volumem, consumo de combustível, gases poluentes e o VPL) são utilizados como critérios de seleção. Dois cenários são avaliados, o primeiro cenário dá maior importância à parte financeira do projeto, o segundo cenário estabelece as emissões de gases poluentes como o parâmetro mais significativo. Os resultados foram diferentes, os arranjos 1 e 2 com Diesel geradores de média rotação se apresentam como a opção mais adequada desde o ponto de vista econômico; enquanto os arranjos com baterias e Diesel geradores de alta rotação são a melhor opção para reduzir as emissões de gases poluentes.

Повний текст джерелаElectricity substation monitoring and control systems have evolved over the years from simple systems capable of achieving minimalistic functions to autonomous, self-healing smart grid schemes (Farhangi, 2010). The migration of technology to networked smart grid systems was driven by the need for standardisation of communication networks, system configuration and also the reduction of system implementation costs and engineering time. Before the introduction of a uniform communication standard, legacy (non-standardised) communication protocols, for example, the Distributed Network Protocol (DNP3) were used by Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) for information exchange (Luwaca, 2014). These communication protocols could not provide a standard naming convention or data semantics since the data/information was accessed using an address-based system. The implementation of automation systems based on legacy protocols and RTUs was expensive because of parallel copper wiring required to connect instrument transformers and circuit breakers to multiple RTUs for protection and monitoring functions (Iloh et al., 2014). Legacy systems refer to Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems implemented using RTUs and legacy communication protocols. Legacy systems tended to be vendor specific because devices from different vendors did not support the same communication protocol. These issues led to the introduction of the IEC 61850 standard. The IEC 61850 standard for “communication networks and systems in a substation” provides standardised naming convention, data semantics, standardised device configuration and also device interoperability and interchangeability in some instances. The IEC 61850 standard provides a solution to expensive parallel copper wiring and standardisation issues experienced with legacy protocols. In as much as the introduction of the IEC 61850 standard addresses problems experienced with legacy system there is still a need to provide inexpensive access to IEC 61850-compliant devices and effective knowledge transfer to facilitate implementation of automation systems based on this standard. The development of an IEC 61850-compliant device requires a specialised skillset and financial investment for research and industrialisation therefore only a few vendors manufacture these devices resulting in an increase in production and manufacturing costs. For this reason this research project develops VHDL modules for mapping IEC 61850-9-2 Sampled Value (SV) messages and IEC 61850-8-1 Generic Object Oriented Substation Event (GOOSE) messages on a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) platform. Sampled values are used for transmitting current and voltage transformer (CT and VT) measurements to protection devices while GOOSE messages exchange information/commands between primary equipment (CT, VT and circuit breaker) and protection devices over an Ethernet network known as the process bus.

Повний текст джерелаIt is common the occurence of permanent faults in power distribution systems. In a typical radial power distribution system when the fault protection system operates, may cause power-off not only in the fault section, but also to all customers downstream the fault.Through disjunction devices normally closed along the feeder, and normaly open on its edges, is possible to isolate the faulty sector and reenergize the healthy ones, reducing the number of customers affected by a fault. Network operators normally do this procedure manually and in addition to demand a considerable ammount of time, is subject to errors on the part of the operator. In order to automate the analisys of the network and provided it of self-healing capacity, various methods have been proposed to solve this matter. Most of these approaches adopts a centralized strategy and do not address the aspect of electric power grid self-healing. In this work is proposed an approach that uses multi-agent systems for self-healing purposes of power distribution systems. Multi-agent are highly suitable for modelling distributed systems in the smart grid domain. For a safe recovery and without violation of operational restrictions the feeder agents perform an evaluation before device agents send any command to the network switches. The proposed multi-agent system is implemented in a agentâs development platform proposed in this work that uses the Python programming language. The platform is called PADE, Python Agent DEvelpment framework. The computer representation of the network, without simplifications, is accomplished by a data encoding based on the theory of graphs and named node-depth representation that serves as a basis for the development of an API of network representation that models each of the required components in the restoration analysis. The device agents communicate with IED that in turn control the switches in the network, by means of IEC 61850 protocols: GOOSE and MMS. To validate the proposed approach, computer simulations are performed using a simplified distribution power grid as a case study and a test platform with relay test case, protection and control IED, managed switch and embedded systems.

Por tratar-se de um sistema radial, a atuaÃÃo da proteÃÃo para estas faltas causa a desenergizaÃÃo nÃo sà do setor em falta, mas de todos os consumidores a jusante do setor onde ocorreu a falta. Fazendo uso dos dispositivos de disjunÃÃo normalmente fechados ao longo do alimentador e normalmente abertos nas suas bordas à possÃvel isolar o setor sob falta e re-energizar os setores sÃos, reduzindo o nÃmero de consumidores afetados por um defeito. Este procedimento à normalmente feito pelos operadores da rede, e alÃm de demandar um tempo considerÃvel, està sujeito à erros por parte do operador. No sentido de tornar automÃtica as anÃlises de restauraÃÃo da rede e prover o sistema da capacidade de auto-cura, tÃm sido propostas diversas metodologias para o problema. A maioria destas abordagens adota uma estratÃgia centralizada e nÃo abordam o aspecto de auto-cura da rede elÃtrica. Neste trabalho, à proposta uma abordagem utilizando sistemas multiagentes para recomposiÃÃo de setores de alimentadores de distribuiÃÃo de energia elÃtrica. A tÃcnica de sistemas multiagentes vem se mostrando bastante promissora no desenvolvimento de sistemas distribuÃdos em um contexto de redes elÃtricas inteligentes. Para que a recomposiÃÃo ocorra sem a violaÃÃo das restriÃÃes operacionais e de forma coerente, sÃo feitas anÃlises pelos agentes alimentadores antes que qualquer comando seja enviado para as chaves do sistema por meio de agentes dispositivo. O sistema multiagente proposto à implementado em uma plataforma de desenvolvimento de agentes proposta neste trabalho e que utiliza a linguagem de programaÃÃo Python. A plataforma tem o nome de PADE, Python Agent DEvelpment framework. A representaÃÃo computacional sem simplificaÃÃes da rede à proporcionada por uma codificaÃÃo de dados apoiada na teoria de grafos e denominada RepresentaÃÃo NÃ-Profundidade, que serve de base para o desenvolvimento de uma API de representaÃÃo da rede-elÃtrica que modela cada um dos componentes necessÃrios nas anÃlises de recomposiÃÃo. Ao agente dispositivo à dada a possibilidade de comunicaÃÃo com IED, que controlam as chaves do sistema, por meio dos protocolos da norma IEC 61850: GOOSE e MMS. Para validar a metodologia proposta sÃo realizadas simulaÃÃes computacionais utilizando uma rede de distribuiÃÃo simples como caso base e uma plataforma de testes com: mala de testes de relÃs, IED de proteÃÃo e controle de mercado, switch gerenciÃvel e placas de desenvolvimento de sistemas embarcados.

Повний текст джерелаA Fuel cell (FC) hybrid power system is a promising solution to deal with the atmospheric pollution and fossil fuels shortage problems. This thesis focuses on the controller design for FC hybrid power systems, towards two applications: the hybrid electrical vehicle and the microgrid-powered datacenter.Firstly, this thesis proposes an advanced passivity-based control for a FC/super-capacitors (SCs) hybrid system. In order to solve the converters coordination problem, a controller designed using the design method Interconnection and Damping Assignment - Passivity-Based Control (IDA-PBC) is applied, which considers the state-of-charge of the SCs as well as voltage and current limitations. The proposed controller is validated on a Power Hardware-in-the-loop (PHIL) platform. Then an Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) is applied to forecast the State-of-Health (SoH) of the fuel cell and is combined with the proposed controller. Finally, a Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) platform based on an INTEL/ALTERA FPGA is designed in order to validate the real-time operation of the algorithms for a specific case study with a commercial vehicle.For microgrid applications, a passivity-based controller for a hybrid power supply system for a green datacenter is proposed, including photovoltaic panels, a fuel cell, SCs and an electrolyzer. The feasibility of this non-linear controller is proven by the simulation results and experimental validation on a PHIL test bench. This work is integrated into the ANR DATAZERO project.The main novelty of the proposed controller is that it integrates some component constraints directly into the controller equations, while the locally asymptotic stability of the whole closed-loop system is preserved

У відповідності до індивідуального завдання в рамках роботи було проведено огляд аналітичних джерел, розроблено схеми електричні структурну та принципову, схему програми. В конструкторській частині роботи розроблено друковану плату пристрою та корпус платформи, виконаний у вигляді танку. Для вище перерахованих схем були зроблені розрахунки, описано принцип їх роботи, розроблено вбудоване програмне забезпечення для мікроконтролеру, яке здійснює прийом команд та керування двигунами та автоматизоване обминання перешкод. Результати розробки було перевірено експериментально.
Graduation master thesis completed by Trusko Michailo on specialty 172 “Telecommunications and Radio Engineering” is dedicated to the development of a wheeled platform with an automated traffic control system by means a smartphone. In accordance with the individual task in the framework of the work the next tasks have been carried out: a review of analytical sources, development of electrical structural and schematic diagrams, diagram of the program. In the design part of the work, the printed circuit board of the device and the body of the platform, made in the form of a tank, has been developed. Calculations were made for the above mentioned diagrams; the principle of their operation was also described. The built-in firmware for the microcontroller has been developed with the next functions: receiving of the commands, control of motors, automated bypassing of obstacles. The results of the development have been tested experimentally.

Повний текст джерелаSoftware defined radios (SDRs) implement in software those parts of a radio which have traditionally been implemented in analogue hardware. We explain the importance of this definition and introduce reconfigurability and portability as two further goals. Reconfigurabilty is a property of the SDR platform, which may be a microprocessor, configurable hardware device, or combination of the two. We demonstrate that the field-programmable gate array is suficient for the implementation of practical SDR systems. Portability, on the other hand, is a property of the modulation and demodulation software, also known as waveform specification software. We evaluate techniques for achieving portability and show that waveforms can be specified in a generic form suitable for the autogeneration of implementations targetting both microprocessor- and FPGA-based architectures. The generated code is in C++ and VHDL respectively, and the tools used include formal models of computation and the XSLT language.

Повний текст джерелаGame Design é o processo de criação de um jogo, que engloba a definição de seu funcionamento, a descrição dos elementos que o compõe, bem como a transmissão destas informações à equipe que irá desenvolve- lo. O presente trabalho aborda o estudo do Game Design de jogos eletrônicos multi-plataforma, analisando criticamente como esta classe de jogos está sendo projetada. Por ser uma mídia em estágio de amadurecimento, a formação acadêmica necessária aos profissionais que atuam na área de jogos eletrônicos ainda não está claramente definida, e sua linguagem e potencialidades estão longe de serem enxergadas em sua totalidade. O exorbitante retorno financeiro da indústria a tornou conservadora e esta tendência está ofuscando a criação de um conteúdo significativo e exploratório. Com o objetivo de identificar e justificar as decisões de Game Design recorrentes em jogos eletrônicos multi-plataforma, questiona-se quais são as características presentes nestes jogos que influenciam a maneira em que são percebidos e jogados quando em diferentes plataformas e situações de uso, e quais as qualidades destas situações que devem ser relevadas durante o processo de sua criação e desenvolvimento. A pesquisa analisa o Game Design de quatro títulos, comparando suas diferentes versões de acordo com seus usos em contextos público, privado e móvel, adotando uma abordagem que compreende as percepções de um jogador e também as de um designer.
Game Design is the process of creating a game, which includes defining its functionality, describing its composing elements, as well as transmiting these informations to the development team. The current work approaches the study of the Game Design present on multi-platform electronic games, analysing how they´re being designed. Being a maturing medium, the academic profile needed for its professionals still isn´t clearly defined, and its language and potencials haven´t been fully explored. The industry´s exorbitant financial return has made it conservative, blinding the creation of meaningful content. With the objective of identifying and justifying the Game Design decisions recurrent on multi-platform electronic games, it is questioned what characteristics affect the way theses games are percepted and played when in different platforms and situations, and which qualities of these situations must be considered during the creative and development processes. The study analyses the Game Design of four titles, comparing their different versions according to their uses on public, private and mobile contexts, through a point-of-view that corresponds to both player and designer.

Повний текст джерелаAn increasingly dynamic battlefield requires increasingly faster software development. Cyber threats and Information Assurance certifications induce significant delays in software operational deployment designed to meet these emerging battlefield requirements. An alternative software development methodology for Department of Defense (DOD) acquisitions was proposed. The proposed software development methodology uses tailoring of commercial pre-approved applications such as Microsoft Office and Adobe currently available on most DOD networks. The application developed to test the validity of this approach is called the electronic attack platform placement optimization (EAPPO) algorithm. Given digital terrain data, a user inputted strike route, and an enemy order-of-battle (EOB) with their respective jammer techniques as inputs, the application output includes terrain and radar impacted threat range rings, aircraft strike routes, and an optimized flight path for the jamming platform (EA-18G). Successful development of the application validates the potential of using pre-approved, non-compiled software to develop military specific applications, a process that could significantly decrease software development time and cost for the DOD.

Such technologies are already available in most countries to a wide range of people with medium and high incomes.In the process, a vehicle design was created, the rear suspension system of the electric platform was analyzed and designed. To verify the results, a computer simulation of the suspension was carried out.Made in a 1: 4 scale layout of the rear suspension truss, and the layout design of the electric platform.

Повний текст джерелаDenna rapport beskriver optimeringen av en algoritm för icke-stereo Visual- Inertial Odometry (VIO), för realtidsapplikationer med begränsade resurser på inbäddade system. Vi använder en multi-processor enhet utrustad med Digital Signal Processor (DSP)) för att öka prestandan och avlasta huvudprocessorn (CPU:n), så att den kan användas för andra uppgifter parallellt. Målet är att minska resursförbrukningen utan att försämra hastighet eller noggrannhet hos algoritmen. Vi identifierar OpenVINS som en lämplig VIO-algoritm att optimera. Resultatet av studien är att vi lyckas minska minnesåtgången för CPU:n med en faktor 2, och energiförbrukningen med en faktor 1,5. Dessa resultat kan komma till användning i alla system som använder en VIO-algoritm parallellt med andra beräkningskrävande uppgifter.

The thesis aims to set up the gearbox on the experimental platform in order to understand the actual condition when the gearbox runs in the electric vehicle. The servo motor used as a power source controls the rotational speed of the motor, and then the V-belt pulley transmits kinetic energy to the gearbox input shaft so that the gearbox is just like in the actual operation in the electric vehicle. Because the vibration signals are generated during the operation of the gearbox, some instruments are used to measure the vibration signals when the gearbox is operated. In this study, the accelerometers, coated with beeswax and affixed to the shell of the gearbox shaft, are mainly used to measure the time-domain and frequency spectrum. The internal condition of the gearbox was showed and understood by the data. At the same time, after the stopwatch, set up on the gearbox output shaft, is entered the size of the wheel, the speed of the gearbox output will be showed. The data from the stopwatch displays the rotational speed and the transfer frequency of the shafts, as well as the GMF of the wheel. After the GMF of the wheel and transfer frequency of the shafts are counted by the servo motor during the operation, the data from the theory is compared to that from the accelerometers and the stopwatch in the study. During the operation of the gearbox, the noise meter is used to record the noise values to infer the amount of the different sound.

The purpose of this research is to develop an electrical vehicle (EV) development platform that can verify the power flow and actual driving state easily. The motor of the vehicle drives a generator instead of driving a real car. The generator power can be fed to the grid or the power can be drawn from the grid to emulate the energy flow of a real car. The Matlab real-time control is employed to feedback the system status and generate the control signals for driving the motor, generator and grid-connected inverter of the proposed system. The advantages of the proposed system include high diversity (any road condition can be emulated), high flexibility (any car parameter can be changed), much cost-effectiveness (the drive energy can be regenerated) and high convenience (the test can be done in the laboratory). This thesis also develops a grid-connected inverter, through which the generator can feed to the grid with low distorted and three-phase balanced manner. A prototype system is designed and implemented; the effectiveness of the proposed methods is confirmed with some simulation and experimental results.

This thesis proposes an FFT-EDTCS-CWT hybrid algorithm to effectively calculate harmonics and flicker, then a virtual instrumentation system and a mobile communication platform are built up to implement the remote monitoring of the power quality in harmonic and flicker indices. The platform uses GPRS as wireless communication medium, and the human-machine interface of the intelligent mobile phone is implemented by J2ME. The proposed mobile instrument system for remote power quality monitoring makes the supervisor of a power network conveniently acquire the real-time information about the power quality when he is not at the monitoring and control center. The functions of the instrumentation system include(1)real-time waveform and spectrum analysis and(2) long-term THD- and - trend monitoring. Besides, the general power components(such as voltage and frequency)instrum- entations can be also accomplished by the system. The built-up prototype of the system was tested inside and outside the laboratory. The test results show that the hybrid algorithm can obtain more accurate harmonic and flicker computations but spending less time, and the information of the virtual instrument at the server side can be correctly displayed on the mobile phone through the developed communication platform. The cost and the delay of the GPRS wireless communication validate the availability and the feasibility of the mobile communication platform for remote power quality monitoring.

In this thesis, the electric power quality monitoring and analysis are constructed and performed on the Smartphone platform. Because Smartphone-based cellular phone comes with high portability along with network communication capability, this study has focused on the utilization of such merits for the development of power quality monitoring. By use of embedded programming for the development of power system harmonics, three-phase unbalance, voltage flickers, voltage sags, and voltage swells are all monitored. This completed product would facilitate the monitoring work, while the graphic user interface further help user for the supervision of electric power quality at the same time. In order to validate the effectiveness of the method, this prototype has been tested through the simulated scenarios of harmonics, unbalances, voltage flickers, voltage sags, and voltage swells. Test results help support the feasibility of the method.

Due to the cost of electric bus battery system and the request of the battery efficiency and life are high, the proportion of using Battery electric vehicle is still low, moreover, there are still many technique problems that may influence battery efficiency are waiting to be solved so battery system verification and evaluation are important to electric bus design and development. In addition, the evaluation of the charge and discharge performance of the battery must be carried out in conjunction with the actual operation of the vehicle. In order to save the cost of vehicle testing, this plan is to use TruckSim to build an electric bus dynamic model and simulate by Hardware-in-the-loop(HIL) method. And build the motor model to drive the entire vehicle by using LabVIEW, then connect to real battery charging and discharging system through the whole vehicle model to complete the HIL system. Through the software setting, this platform can simulate the dynamic behavior of the electric bus in different driving situations, and can test the battery reaction by real time charge and discharge. Simultaneously, we can communicate with the battery cabinet to know the battery state of charge, voltage, current, temperature and other battery parameters. During the simulation, users can also view real-time maps, street view information.

While most of these platforms have been designed for able users, very few special designs are available for the physically disabled persons. With increasing numbers of disabled peoples around the world, accommodative and safer displacement means are called for. A normal wheelchair platform with two front castor wheel and two independently driven rear wheels is therefore considered in this study for modelling and control. Based on the nature of persons using wheelchairs, better and much easy to control wheelchair platforms are necessitated. To achieve such objective, this research is focused on two main threads: dynamic modelling and control. In modelling, the aim is to present a dynamic model of wheelchair platform that takes into account slipping parameters and frictional/traction forces experienced on motion. It also intends to account for the effects of gravitational forces that would be experienced by the wheelchair and its effect on the platforms during uphill and downhill movements. Lagrange formalism is utilised in the design of this dynamic model. In control, the objective is to ensure that the platform tracks the reference linear velocity and the reference angular orientation as desired. With such control commands, a simple access device may be employed to ensure that people with severe disability also have a chance of controlling the wheelchair. Since no zero dynamics arise with linear velocity and angular orientation as the platforms outputs, standard input-output feedback linearisation is considered and applied in the linearisation of the model and in the development of the control law. Successfully simulated results demonstrating the performance of the proposed dynamic model and control law are presented for verification. The entire dynamic model and the controller are simulated in a software tool MATLAB and SIMULINK.

Six-axis platforms are a type of parallel mechanism which are constructed with six struts between the base and the platform. The lengths of the six struts are changed by their servo-electric cylinder . Using this kind of closed loop mechanism for designing a six-DOF motion system has several advantages, such as possible higher precision, stiffness, and more simpler structure. The thesis is mainly procedure in designing a new type of six-axis platform. It investigates about the analysis of kinematic, workspace, and dynamic of the six-axis platform. Then we compare the simulation of ADAMS and the theory of MATLAB to build a complete design procedure and to prove the accuracy by the actual platform. In the kinematics, we calculate the forward kinematics and inverse kinematics. In the working space, we have calculated with platform specifications to find the electric servo cylinder elongation. Finally, we calculate the maximum force required for platform.from this research, we can finish the design and manufacture of the six-axis platform more fast and efficient to cut down the cost.

This paper aims to develop an interaction platform system of Dynamic Simulator which could perform the dynamic data of Virtual Reality through the Electric Stewart Motion Platform. The system includes four parts: virtual reality, internet transfer, motion cue, and motion control. The system structure, uses the physical model of Virtual Reality software to calculate the acceleration and angular velocity motion, and sent the data to the motion cue module to calculate the displacements and attitudes. The main calculation of motion cue adopts the Classical Washout Filter Algorithm, and the motion control makes use of inverse kinematics to calculate the extension of each linkages. The platform controller in this research is a serial servo motor control card which is developed by ADLINK Technology, and compatible with the MITSUBISHI servo drive, MELSERVO-J2-Super 350B, and the servo motor, HC-SFS352. Moreover, the SSCNET serial servo technology is applied as the hardware control system of the Stewart Platform. After the dynamic response experiment, the bandwidth of Electric Stewart Motion Platform was found not as high as expected. Therefore, to improve the drawback of the system, a DSP controller has been explored and tested with a single actuator.

With the rising awareness of environmental protection, Taipei City pursues a bicycle rental service called YouBike to enhance short-distant travel facilities and create a green environment for the public. However, a bicycle may not be available in a popular site or simply malfunction of the rental system could cause a lot of troubles. An internet of things (IOT) concept with cloud service that connects with am electric-scooter rental system is born for the public who use electric-scooter for a short-distant travel. But people don’t familiar with electric-scooters so that they will worry about running out of battery power during the riding. For an IOT concept with cloud service that connects with and electric-scooter rental system, the system utilizes the powerful ICT ability to enhance the function of roadside assistance and user notification. The aim of this research is to develop an electric-scooter information service platform with the function of automatic rental service and smart charging system. In this system, users could rent an electric scooter by using any wireless smart devices and start up electric scooters via RFID card. With the WiFi and GPRS connection, all electric scooters can be real-time monitored by a smart device. Moreover, the real-time monitoring of scooters, charging station, the data of battery charging time and charging ratio are also being collected and analyzed in the cloud platform. The conversion mechanism from the residual power to available driving distances of the rental scooter is useful for users to choose their suitable scooters, so that they don’t have to worry about running out of battery power during the riding. In addition, the system utilizes the powerful ICT ability to enhance the function of roadside assistance and user notification. Real-time data transmission not only provides surveillance and immediate roadside assistance for electric-scooters users, but also makes multi rental pricing based on usage behavior of users, such as the power consumption and travel distant.

This thesis proposes a contactless power transfer platform for electric vehicles with characteristics analysis, where both one-to-one power transfer and three-to-one power transfer for on-board portable electronic products are included. In view of inconvenience resulted from the scenario when the plug connection is the sole way of providing the power for most vehicles, the thesis suggests to utilize the wireless power transfer along with charging tracks, anticipating facilitating the dynamic charging of electric vehicles. This study begins with the investigation of contactless power transfer, which is followed by the selection of compensation structure. Based on the power demand and the distance to transfer the power, a flowchart of induction coil design is developed. Through the validation of one-to-one power transfer, the method is further extended as a three-to-one power transfer prototype. The voltage of each module is detected in order to formulate the relationships between charging tracks and position of vehicle. By controlling the duty cycle of each power transistor in the converter, the charging power can be adjusted flexibly. This proposed platform has been theoretically analysed and experimentally tested. Experimental results support the potentials and reference values of this proposed circuit for the application investigated.

This thesis aims at modeling and improving the performance of an electric vehicle power testing system. To reach the high accuracy and fast response of the system, this study firstly established a off-line software system (Model In The Loop,MIL) on the Matlab/Simulink platform with real-plant parameter input. By comparing the off-line/on-line performance under the baseline PI control case, we ensured that the off-line model can represent the HIL(Hardware-In-the-Loop,HIL) platform. Next, a global search algorithm derived the optimal PI control parameters by for-loop search. The set of PI values them was employed to the on-line platform to enhance the vehicle speed tracking accuracy. For the bandwidth and delay analysis of the data communication, through the precise offline model, the benefit can be analyzed. Results show that this research successfully evaluates the vehicle speed tracking accuracy and performance improvement by the off-line simulation of the dynamometer test platform. For the control parameter tuning, the average vehicle speed error between the off-line and on-line platform was 0.1 km/h. By using the global search algorithm on the off-line simulation, the vehicle speed tracking for the platform can be predicted to be improved by 33+%. The same PI can improve 38 % of the vehicle tracking error for the on-line platform. This research method and the parameter search algorithm truly help for the preliminary study of the performance enhancement and improvement of the testing platform.

Following the increased use of nonlinear loads connected in the modern electric power system, the quality of supplying power is seen degraded. Therefore, it is critically important to measure the electric power data and perform the analysis such that the polluted sources can be earlier located. In view of such importance, this thesis has proposed an integrated approach to implement a portable electric power quality analysis system, where the .NET platform was mainly utilized for the cross-platform considerations. In the propose method, thanks to the high portability of Smartphone and wireless communication, the monitoring data can be easy to deliver to the client side where the user interface was also built up. Then, at the server side, it was responsible for the electric power quality-related computation. In order to validate the feasibility of the method, several disturbances were also simulated and tested via the proposed system. Test results helped reveal the feasibility of the method for the application considered, which would be also beneficial for electric power quality monitoring study.

The main research aim of this thesis is to design the system architecture of the Stewart Platform in order to make the related operational processes being more efficient and convenient. As the result, we developed a graphical user interface for the goal of effective adjustment of corresponding control parameters, which is implemented by I/O signal cards to transmit the data files between the control console and the platform. In other words, within the limited working space, we can control the motion cueing of the platform arbitrarily and immediately. In this thesis, we applied the inverse kinematics to control our 6-DOF motion platform, since the calculation of the forward kinematics is highly depended; it is not possible to have the only solution. One other important reason of choosing the inverse kinematics is that there is not any limitation for the inverse kinematics, one can conduct the relations between the upper and lower platforms and grant the only solution, if its general procedure is followed. The Functional Neural Fuzzy Controller (FNFC) was developed by our Lab, while the corresponding algorithms consist of the structure and parameter learning processes. The process of structure learning is based on the entropy measurement to decide whether there should be added one more fuzzy rule, and the backpropagation method is used in the parameter learning to adjust all free parameters of the neural network. Comparing to the existing PID controllers for evaluation of motion platforms, our approach could provide better performance, reduce the corresponding complexity, and minimize the error between actual length and commanded length of the platform’s actuators. In order to maximize the working space within the realistic limited range and to simulate the large scale motions of the relative acceleration and angular velocity and to make experienced pilots feeling more realistically under their operations, we applied the algorithm of the washout filter to immediately and smoothly perform each commanded motion cues on our platform. Lastly, we compared our proposed approach with other methods to prove the effectiveness of our neural architecture and the corresponding algorithms.

In 2013, Germany first proposed the concept of Industry 4.0 the concept of Industry 4.0, which emphasizes the application and integration of technologies such as Internet of things, cloud, big data, and communication protocols. Many countries have learned, they have also invested in research and application of related technologies. In recent years, with the popularization of smart devices, such as smart phones and tablets, and users can connect to the Internet through mobile networks using Wi-Fi or others communication protocols. Just touch the web pages or APP interfaces to achieve remotely monitor and control for desired objects. The purpose of this thesis is to establish a home-based electrical monitoring platform, the electrical monitoring platform consists of a master device and N controlled end devices. The master device established a web-based operation interface using Responsive Web Design (RWD) scheme. When the master device connects to the intranet or internet, user can login to the web-based interface and push the desired button, master device would transceive respective control signal to end device by MiWi wireless protocols and achieve the desired operation. In summarize, this developed home-based electrical control platform has achieved the following functions. 1. Use embedded system architecture design with PIC microcontroller kernel, effectively reduce the size of the platform and achieve lower cost. 2. The platform adds a wireless LAN to transceive the control signal and alleviate the wiring problem. 3. All settings and control operations can be finished by any device connected to the internet/intranet network, such as tablet, smart phones, desktops, laptops, etc.), providing operational convenience. 4. The web-based interface space is embedded in microcontroller's memory, using Responsive Web Design scheme. It can automatically adjust the display and resolution, the use is more convenient and easy to maintain. 5. Every end device has an unique EUI (Extended Organizationally Unique Identifier) address, which is safe and confidential. 6. Easy to modify the platform control signal mode, in addition to the basic ON / OFF control, can be flexibly set to provide controllable power or DC trigger signal to facilitate the integration with peripherals. 7. The web-based operation interface integrating with the electrical equipment, the operation is intuitive and friendly. Moreover, it is facilitated the management of various electrical equipment, and the operating range is not limited to the near area.

Li-ion batteries are widely used for Electric Vehicles(EV) as the energy source. However, existing battery charging stations possess some shortcomings, such as lacking of various battery charging modes and without considering the temperature rising during battery charging period. These may be barriers for promoting the use of EV. To solve the problems above mentioned, this paper develops an EV-battery charging management platform with interaction ability. First of all, a prototype of programmable EV-battery charging station with internet-connection ability is built. In addition, we design a Web service-based battery management platform and five functional components are developed to provide interaction capability, such as charging modes recommendation, abnormal situation alert, real-time state display, historical data query, and remote data storage. Legitimate users can operate these functions through Internet by using a browser. Specifically, in the function of charging modes recommendation, we design four modes to fulfill various requirement of users, including charge to full, time-limited charge, cost-limited charge and force-charge. Finally, we built a prototype of an EV-battery charging management platform with interaction ability in NCSIST to test the designed functional components. The test results show that this prototype can satisfy the requirement of various battery charging modes and battery charging safety.

Six-axis platform is a closed-loop mechanism of linkage-type, therefore has characteristics of high stiffness and high freedom. It has advantages of high precision and high efficiency when combines with the servo electric cylinder. The main structure of six-axis electric servo cylinder platform can be distinguished into three part of movable platform,base and six servo electric cylinder. This research investigates the condition of operation for the six-axis platform by kinematics, dynamics and dynamic analysis software ADAMS. Next, using the FEM software ANSYS to analyze the stress for each component, and investigating the strength and life for platform. Through this research, hoping to have some contributions for the design of six-axis platform.

In this study, we have designed an electric motion platform, and developed an adaptive cerebellar model articulation controller to solve the nonlinear and complex dynamics of electric motion platform. Compare with oil motion platform which has existed in our laboratory, the electric motion platform has the advantages of the low noise and the low pollution (no leakage of oil problem). The electric motion platform even just need the power of 110v to drive the servo motor to turn run, and makes motion platform actions. Considering these advantages, the overseas companies which makes motion platform, is beginning to develop and produce the electric motion platform to replace the oil motion platform. Moreover, the locally and overseas be interrelated research unit as regards the needs of motion platform force in electric motion platform. In this study, two research have been discussed. One is the mechanism hardware equipment, and the other is the control algorithm design. For the mechanism hardware equipment, our study have completed the electric motion platform mechanism design﹑process and constructed of driving system. For the control algorithm design, since the dynamics of the electric motion platform is nonlinear and complex, the conventional control design technique is difficult to design. To solve this problem, a structure easy, fast learning property, and model-free design algorithm which is referenced as adaptive cerebellar model articulation controller system is developed. Finally, experimental results show that the adaptive cerebellar model articulation controller can achieve favorable tracking with unknown the dynamic model of the motion platform.
