Повний текст джерелаEach year in France, the treatment of liquid waste coming from surface finishing industry generates about 200. 000 tons of metallic hydroxide sludge. According to the law 92-646 of 13/07/1992 concerning ultimate waste, these sludge could not be stored in specialized landfill. The purpose of this work is to propose an alternative solution to avoid global precipitation of metals using sodium carboxylates. These reagents allow to perform selective precipitation with a goal of recycling. At first, preparation and control of carboxylate solutions were studied. Then, different metallic carboxylates were prepared and characterized. Solubility studies of these metallic compounds showed the feasibility of selective precipitation which was applied to different mixtures of cations (Fe3+-Zn2+, Fe3+-Cr3+ and Zn2+-Ni2+). The results clearly show that the use of sodium carboxylate solutions led to a rate of precipitation of metals higher than 99,6 % with a real selectivity for all mixtures studied. In each case, the products obtained can be recycled in mettalurgical industry

Повний текст джерелаThe use of nuclear energy makes it possible to produce large amounts of electricity while minimising the production of greenhouse gases. However, the management of nuclear waste remains a major challenge, particularly contaminated metal waste. Chemical decontamination (eg. COREMIX) is very effective, but generates large volumes of secondary effluents, which in turn require costly decontamination using specific resins. This work focuses on the development of a pre-treatment process for radioactive metal effluents with the aim of reducing the amount of resins required. To this end, a hydroxide precipitation protocol was developed on synthetic samples before being optimised on simulated samples and validated on radioactive effluents. Other precipitation methods such as sulphide, phosphate and electrocoagulation were investigated to make the protocol versatile and adaptable on a large scale. Although adjustments had to be made to suit the composition of the waste, the protocols developed enabled the effluents to be effectively decontaminated while significantly reducing the volume of resin required

Повний текст джерелаThe treatment process of liquid waste containing heavy metals by metal hydroxyde precipitation is the most commonly employed. At the present time, the sludge are an ultimate waste wich are stored in landfilling. In a first time, the objective is the inertizing of heavy metal like zinc. The principle of transformation of leaching forms containing heavy metal in metallic sulfides slightly soluble appears like a way to explore. The present work confirms that a sulfurization of mineralogic form of zinc containing in sludge is faisable from polysulfides solutions. The performance of this process is confirmed in the case of real sample stemming from industry. In a second time, we studied the possibility of the selective extraction method by leaching of zinc-bearing phases. Chemical leaching of ZnO and Zn(OH)2 with a solution of inorganic ligand as thiosulphate and organic ligand such as polyethylene-polyamine appeared to be an efficient method. This detoxication method has been validated using these reagents on the real hydroxyde sludge stemming from industry. The result confirms that this treatment led to the extraction of the potential polluting zinc fraction contained in the waste. The last method studied the possibility of selective precipitation of heavy metal contained in liquid waste before classical physicochemical treatment. The reducing power of polysulfides and the formation possibility of metallic sulfides slighthly soluble bring about the selective precipitation of zinc sulfide and nickel in mixte solution of fer-zinc-nickel. The treatment of liquid waste containing heavy metal is possible. The final-products are a sulfur-metallic sulfur heavy metal mixture and an hydroxie ferric cake. The use of this products as new materials in different industries is actually under study

Al or Fe, which generates trivalents cations, which are suitable to modify the zeta potential of suspended matters in the liquid to be treated. The present work deals the investigation of a discontinuous labo process for the treatment of various suspensions e. G. Machining oils, diluted latex, colloid suspensions, through aluminium dissolution. Liquid flows continuously in a loop provided with an electrochemical cell provided with flat aluminium electrodes. Various aspects of the process were investigated. First, the electrochemical reactions (aluminium dissolution, hydrogen evolution) were characterised by current-voltage curves, impedance spectroscopy, as weIl as current yields. Moreover, treatment of the various liquid wastes has been extensively studied par monitoring the levels of the chemical oxygen demand (COD) and of total organic carbon (TOC), with time variations of aluminium dissolved and hydrogen formed, depending on the concentrations and the current applied. Повний текст джерелаThe excessive use of antibiotics in human and animal medicine poses serious environmental and public healthissues. The aim of this thesis was to remove two types of quinolone antibiotics that can be detected in wastewater or hospital effluents. Initially, we evaluated the reactivity of metal oxides (iron or zinc) to promote advanced oxidation reactions, in the presence of oxidants such as hydrogen peroxide, persulfate or peroxymonosulfate, and under irradiation (UVA or visible ). The reactive oxides were supported on inexpensive, environmentally friendly cellulose acetate membranes or polyester, which made it possible to operate on a recirculating continuous flow reactor. The influence of the various operating parameters (type and concentration of catalyst, type and concentration of oxidant, pH, etc.) was studied. The impact of mixing with other antibiotics on the removal performance was evaluated with respect to the reactivity of each compound with the radical species. The tests carried out on hospital effluents made it possible to identify competitive or even inhibitory effects coming from the main components of wastewater such as organic matter, phosphates and sulphates or chlorides. The observed performance in the real wastewater as well as the evaluation results of the reuse of the supported solids are encouraging. This study has important implications for possible application of recirculation reactor with supported catalysts in wastewater treatment technologies
