The article considers the city from the point of view of its educational potential and in the categories of educational space, approaching the main cultural and historical forms of the city as educational institutions. With this review, at least three focus points are retained: 1) Consideration of the city space and its infrastructure as an educational space and educational infrastructure that are not reducible to usual school and university (the latter should also be culturally and historically distributed, showing their basic etymons and missions); 2) Consideration of education as an institution of educational and, more broadly, anthropological practices of the development and formation of a person, and not as a disciplinary institution and matrix; 3) Consideration of the repertoire of anthropological practices development as a practice unfolding in urban space. It is shown that these three foci act as mirrors directed at each other, mirroring and showing each other mutual potential and mutual scarcity, the need for each other. The actual wealth (thesaurus) of the urban space depends on the density, frequency and variety of connections between these areas. Next, we look at specific cultural and historical forms, such as the Temple, School, Museum, University, etc., which constitute the basic infrastructure nodes of the city space itself. These cultural institutions are considered not so much from the point of view of their internal tasks, but from the position of their place in the city, in the urban space, with regard to their place and role as special educational nodes-institutions in this space. Further, the urban space is considered in the categories of the campus city, in which this space is linked by different anthropological practices repertoires.

Glurns/Glorenza, the smallest city of South Tirol (Italy), was chosen as the ideal location to verify the application of the concept of Smart City in a small community by adopting a bottom-up approach involving local stakeholders and Municipality.

This study aims to 1) To examine the communication of the educational zoning policy for the acceptance of new students in the city of Makassar, 2) To describe the implementation of the educational zoning policy for the acceptance of new students in the city of Makassar, 3) To describe the pattern of mass communication in the education zoning policy on the acceptance of participants. new students in Makassar city. This research method uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses an interactive model, namely data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and verification/conclusion. The results showed that 1) the communication of the educational zoning policy for the acceptance of new students was deemed to be less effective, 2) The implementation of the zoning policy for New Student Admissions is considered less effective, 3) The mass communication pattern in the zoning policy for new student education in Makassar is considered effective. Overall, it can be understood that the communication of education zoning policies in Makassar City is less effective, this is the absence of massive socialization

Cities have always been the predominant centres of political power, economic growth, educational and cultural advancement and technological innovation. However, rapid urbanization and growth of metropolitan cities, especially in developing countries, have resulted to various challenges that national and local governments and institutions fail to address completely. Against this background, small- and medium-sized cities are becoming the new growth nodes of the country. Batangas City in the Philippines is a medium-sized city located in the proximity of the Metro Manila region. This article provides an overview of the urbanization of Batangas City with special reference to its social, economic and urban characteristics along with its pressing challenges. The study highlights the current state of Batangas City with an emphasis on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on health, education and urban sustainability. Finally, the article attempts to conclude on whether the city is gearing towards a learning, healthy and sustainable Batangas City.

Thus far, the majority of studies have focused on international student migration. Less attention has been paid to internal migration for tertiary education and even less to local effects caused by this category of migration. To redress this limitation, the paper determines the most important consequences of internal migration for university enrolment in the local labour market of a university city. This is shown through the example of the Polish university city with one of the highest student-to-population ratios – Opole. The study is based on the literature review and the result of qualitative and quantitative research conducted in Opole. The first was conducted among students and the second among owners and employees of local enterprises. Findings of the research suggest that the inflow of students to the university city can lead to short- run and long-run effects on the local economy. Findings of the research suggest that in the short run the inflow of students to the university city leads to structurally important changes in the labour supply and creates new jobs. In the long run, it leads to permanent changes in labour resources, attracts investors to the city and causes permanent changes in the labour demand. The analysed outcomes of migration for tertiary education are only a small but vital part of the consequences of education migration. The global spread of the coronavirus has also stressed the importance of educational migrants in university cities. The impact of pandemic COVID-19 on university cities should be the subject of future research.

The existence of educational facilities in housing and settlements is the most important thing for the community. Basically, the government has issued regulations regarding the implementation for the provision of educational facilities, as referred to in terms of educational facilities for Kindergarten (TK), Elementary School (SD), Junior High School (SMP), High School (SMA) and Schools. Vocational High School (SMK) or its equivalent. This study aims to evaluate the need for educational facilities for the present and the future and to find problem points for the provision of supporting facilities and infrastructure in the provision of educational facility services. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis and trend analysis. From the results of scientific calculations obtained, the existing educational facilities in Abepura District for the present and the future are still adequate. However, from the results of the research, there are still many problems with the educational facilities in the Abepura District that must be considered. Problems that occur in educational facilities in the Abepura District are the lack of complementary supporting facilities and infrastructure that require improvement and maintenance for existing facilities and infrastructure in educational locations, as well as inadequate transportation services in 3 (three) villages, namely: Enggros Village, Nafri Village, and Koya Koso Village. From the problems that exist in educational facilities, it is hoped that the government will pay attention to the completeness of facilities and infrastructure which refers to the regulations that have been set in order to provide quality services to the community and improve transportation services in order to support the smooth running of people who want to access these facilities. and other desired infrastructure and facilities.

Education is one of the most important sectors of any state, or a region the vital role it has in enhancing the cultural level of a society and developing their scientific state by committing to the educational standards and the effective distribution of educational services in populated areas. The city of Chamachamal، similar to other cities of the world in general and other cities of Kurdistan in particular، is not deprived from educational services، which is, however, not up to the growing number of the resident. Generally، the educational services include these stages: Kindergarten, basic education (primary and intermediate 1-9), and secondary education (10-12). This study aims to identify the educational services in the city of Chamchaml and delimit their shortcomings using the Geographic Information System (GIS) to display the way each of the educational services in the city’s neighborhoods. The current study has been based on data and information presented by the directorate of education of Chamchamal. To enrich the study via gaining first hand details, field visits were paid to the kindergartens and schools of Chamchamal for the academic year (2020-2021).

The teacher development project described in this article reveals ways in which the social consequences of poverty and racial marginalization may be crucial to the out -comes of educational reform in inner-city schools. The study demonstrates that educational reform can be affected by the economic, political, and cultural context of which a school is in large part a product. The author addresses the consequences of this educational embeddedness for school reform, and suggests that in order to create good schools in the inner cities, educational reform must be accompanied by other, more fundamental social changes.

Education” is a comprehensive information program project that allows educational institutions and municipal authorities to interact with each other at the city or city district level. This information system is designed to automate the educational process and management activities in the field of education, as it allows you to create a common educational space. To perform the task of automating the control over the educational structure, it is necessary to think over the solution not only for individual schools, but for all educational institutions. It assumes gradual automation of all educational institutions, with formation of the information environment for these institutions and regional governments on the basis of the coordinated information standards. The aim of this work is to develop a subsystem of security system “The Network City. Education”. The article analyzes the given information system and formulates a typical architecture of the information system, highlights its components. We also develop a security subsystem “The Network City” within the system “The Safety School”. Actual possible threats have been considered as the components of the developed standard architecture of the information system. Mechanisms of protection against the allocated threats are considered.

Sidoarjo is an important city in East Java and it has several city parks with unique features and values. This article aims to elaborate the educational values of a city park in Sidoarjo. The data were collected trough review of literature and observation. Among several city parks in Sidoarjo, this article focus on the Alun-alun (city square) with Jayandaru Monument as its unique feature. The finding suggested that the city park in Sidoarjo has several educational values: (1) cultural values, (2) identity value, (3) sense of pride, (4) love to the city, (5) diversity and (6) tolerance.

The distribution of educational services in a balanced manner and increasing their number in the city of Darbandikhan will be a great help to reach (kindergarten children and school students) the place of the service, The problem of the study is the imbalance in the distribution of the service and the small number of some educational institutions in Darbandikhan, which has caused the area deprived of effect zone for educational services to be large, The aim of this study is to determine the geographical location of educational services in Darbandikhan to become a basis for identifying the effect zone for them and then evaluate educational services in the city according to distance criteria for different stages of education to know how much area is served in the city, what part of the city covers and then where are the places and how much of their area that the service does not cover and are deprived of it, In this study, Inductive reasoning , descriptive and analytical approaches were relied upon to achieve the objective, The most important outcomes and conclusions of this study are that the imbalance and low number of educational institutions in some stages of education, especially kindergarten and vocational high school, has caused the deprived area of effect zone for educational services to be large and not meet the requirements of some neighborhoods in the city.

Background: Tobacco kills more than 7 million people a year. India has one of the world’s heaviest tobacco-related health burdens. The government of India has enacted the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA) 2003 to control the factors which favor the use of tobacco products. The present study was taken up with the objective to determine the proportion of educational institutions having display boards prohibiting tobacco sales and use, having advertisements & tobacco selling outlets nearby and to assess the awareness regarding rules for tobacco sales among the persons selling tobacco products in these outlets.Methods: Cross-sectional study conducted from October to December 2017, in all the educational institutions of Mandya city using a pretested, structured questionnaire. Descriptive and inferential statistics was used for analysis.Results: Of the 92 educational institutions 13 (14.1%) had “No smoking” display boards. 30 (32.6%) had the display board that sale of tobacco products is prohibited within a radius of 100 yards of the educational institution. 146 tobacco selling outlets were present near the 71 educational institutions. 19 (13.0%) sellers knew that sale of tobacco products is prohibited within a radius of 100 yards of the educational institution.Conclusions: One sixth of the educational institutions had “No smoking” display boards and one third had display board that stated that the sale of tobacco products was prohibited within a radius of 100 yards of the educational institution. The awareness regarding sale of tobacco products was inadequate among the persons selling tobacco products.

This investigational work aims to analyze the body mass index (BMI) of elementary educational institution youngsters aged 7-12 years and to assess inner-city and pastoral youngsters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Pakistan). The target population was elementary educational institution youngsters, of whom 500 were sampled by simple random sampling from educational institutions in both out-city and inner-city locations. Data were collected by height and weight measurements and analyzed with SPSS version 20. Quantitative analysis instruments were employed. A comparative evaluation of the data reflected that the body mass index of inner-city youngsters was substantially better than that of their pastoral counterparts.

The aim of this work is to review and analyze the needs of citizens and the city, concerning the cultural, spiritual and intellectual development, for the subsequent creation of comfortable, diverse cultural and educational space in each area of the city. The paper studies the creation of the cultural and educational environment and examines the socio-cultural situation in the city. Design/methodology/approach: The theoretical approach is based on works of sociologists and philosophers, cultural studies, and a few studies of architects. In fact, there is no systematic approach to design of cultural and educational spaces in Russian cities. As a result, in practice a lack of understanding is identified for the role of the city environment as a social and economic system. There is also a shortage of such studies concerning Krasnoyarsk. As a result, the paper poses problems of designing a system of cultural space and complexes that currently develop in Krasnoyarsk. The role of culture for the city life along with the historical influence of cultural centers on the city development are considered. Research findings: Analyzing the location of cultural objects on the city map one can observe a stereotype that is established in the minds of people: the center is a cultural point, and the absence of cultural sites on the periphery or a sharp decrease of their quantity in non-central districts is supposedly normal. In most cities of Russia the phenomenon of cultural monocentricity is observed. It implies the concentration of the cultural function in the city center and its deficit on the periphery can be noticed. The analysis of needs of citizens is made for the potential subsequent creation of models of cultural and educational spaces in each city area. Practical implications: Based on the results, current trends and algorithms of the implementation of proposed scheme are suggested. Recommendations for approaches to the architectural design of cultural and educational complexes and spaces are made. Cultural and educational complexes seem not as vital for surviving as, for example, schools, universities, hospitals, etc. However, it is necessary to support the desire of citizens to visit cultural places, progress, learn independently (outside school or university), engage in creativity and create all possible conditions for their implementation. Originality/value: Taking into account the existing theoretical studies, a sociological survey is compiled for residents of the city. Using various theories, the needs for cultural development and social recognition are investigated. Based on the survey, a problem was formulated, and suggestions were made about the need for further research. It is found that the presence or absence of cultural spaces significantly influence the life of people in a particular district or city: the lack of alternatives for self-expression and leisure provokes the rise of internet, television and other forms of destructive activities, slowing down the cultural development of the city. The study provides the complex strategic solution for the problem.

The purpose of writing articles to obtain information about Management of Education Facilities at Vocational High School in the City of Padang. The population in this study is the manager of educational facilities at State Vocational High School In Padang City amounting to 40 people. The data collection technique is done by spreading the questionnaire to all populasidenga using the mean formula. The results showed that the management of educational facilities at Vocational High School in the City of Padang, with details of the research results as follows, the planning of education facilities has been done well (76%), procurement of educational facilities have been done well (77.7%), (74.1%), the utilization of educational facilities has been well implemented (80.6%), maintenance of educational facilities have been done well (74.6%) and the elimination of pedidika facilities has been done quite well ( 64.2%). From the description of research results can be concluded that the overall management of educational facilities at Vocational High School in Padang City has been done well (74.53%), but must be improved again so that the educational facilities in schools are in good condition and ready to use and can support in the learning process effectively and efficiently.

This study examines and analyzes the effect of educational background, continuing education, independence, knowledge, and experience on auditor performance with Motivation as a moderating variable. The population in this study were the inspectorate auditors of the Tebing Tinggi City and Pematangsiantar City, with the sampling technique using the census method and obtaining a sample of 40 auditors. The data is subsequently analyzed using Statistical Descriptive Analysis and Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 3.0. software program. The results of this study indicate that educational background, continuing education, and independence partially have a positive and significant effect on auditor performance. While the knowledge and experience partially do not affect the auditor's performance. In addition, Motivation as a moderating variable has not been able to moderate the influence of educational background, continuing education, independence, knowledge, and experience on the performance of the inspectorate auditors of Tebing Tinggi City and Pematangsiantar City. The aim of the research is to study the reality of educational services in the city of Faw and to activate the role of the spatial organization method in planning policies, and in aspects related to urban planning in general and the distribution of educational services in the Faw region in particular, and to determine the actual need for educational services. Research Methodology: The study adopted an analytical approach using geographic information systems and spatial analysis tools. Geographical information systems in topics related to urban planning and the study of services save time and cost and give accurate results that support decision-makers in reaching treatments and planning alternatives and come up with analytical results through spatial maps that show the applied analysis methods and through which Putting the most important conclusions reached by the research through the results of the analysis and thus supporting the research and verifying its hypothesis, leading to the most important proposals that would make the best use of educational services to meet the needs of the population.

Beach recreation areas are one of the most favorable for walking and recreation of residents and guests of Sochi city. Therefore, the educational design of beach recreation areas in terms of environmental design aims to develop the image of the city of Sochi as a "resort city". The historical background of the use of natural balances of the coastal territory for mass use is considered. The beach areas of Sochi city are part of the coastal strip. The organization of natural beaches was associated with the removal of natural rocks into the sea from the mouths of rivers such as Sochi, Bytkha, Vereshchaginka, Khosta, Mzymta, and others. The creation of artificial natural beaches and the increase in their number is associated with the use of engineering structures in the Soviet period since the 1930s. The study of the formation of beaches on the Black Sea coast allowed the students of Sochi State University to competently organize methods for designing beach areas in such areas of the city as Dagomys, Central District, Khosta District. The projects were carried out by students and were focused on releasing the area of beach areas from unauthorized buildings; an arrangement of areas available for modernization by introducing new planning solutions. Reference objects in the form of buildings in the coastal zone are proposed. The forms of modernization of embankments with beach areas in student projects depend on the resolution of problematic issues for each site separately

The epidemiology of interpersonal violence is summarized, highlighting the fact the youth are overrepresented as victims and perpetrators of violence. General areas of agreement and disagreement about programmatic approaches to reducing youth violence are summarized, emphasizing that the most effective programs are comprehensive and integrated and incorporate multiple strategies at multiple levels in multiple settings. Four types of educational strategies to reduce youth violence are summarized: conflict management skills training, youth-operated programs, psychoeducational strategies, and family-based educational strategies. Exemplars of each are presented, and their strengths and weaknesses are discussed. Strategies to implement effective programs are summarized, and the policy and program planning implications of what is known are discussed.

Обобщен опыт организации и проведения Городского фестиваля инфраструктурных решений (далее – Фестиваль) Московского городского педагогического университета как одного из способов, с помощью которого можно привлечь команды образовательных организаций к тематике масштабных изменений образовательной инфраструктуры. Благодаря Фестивалю выявлены и представлены лучшие практики инфраструктурных решений по эффективному использованию пространства образовательных организаций Москвы, реализующих общеобразовательные программы дошкольного образования, начального общего образования, основного общего образования и среднего общего образования. Участники Фестиваля получили опыт и вдохновение в изменении школьного пространства, а также узнали о современных отделочных материалах и оборудовании для школ. Полученные выводы имеют прикладное значение и могут быть использованы при определении стратегий развития школьной инфраструктуры. Typical architecture and design of school spaces is often not related to its pedagogical concept and does not reflect the identity of the teaching staff and students. In this regard, there is a request to involve participants of educational relations in the design and development of an educational environment in which the capabilities of teachers and students would be most fully revealed. The relevance of the article lies in the emergence of new and various projects of redesign and renovation of the educational environment, expanding the understanding of the functional capabilities of the spaces of educational organizations, demonstrating the educational and social potential of new spaces of educational organizations. The article summarizes the experience of organizing and holding the City Festival of Infrastructure Solutions of the Moscow City University as one of the ways that can be used to attract teams of educational organizations to the topic of large-scale changes in educational infrastructure. On the Festival it were identified and presented the best practices of infrastructure solutions for the effective use of the space of educational organizations in the city of Moscow, implementing general educational programs of preschool education, primary general education, basic general education and secondary general education. Festival participants gained experience and inspiration in changing the school space, and learned about modern finishing materials and equipment for schools. The conclusions drawn by the authors have the practical importance and can be used to determine strategies for the development of school infrastructure.

Through an Arts-Based Educational Research (ABER) methodology, we explore the urban perceptions of fourth-year university students from the School of Education at the University of Granada (Spain). ABER methodologies provide a subtle, representative and sensitive approach to the urban experience. In this study, we surveyed 130 students, asking them to draw and cut out a city map of Granada. This was done in order to reveal the known boundaries of the city and to identify the parts yet to be discovered by the students. With these answers as collected data, an ABER analysis was carried out through the production of visual media. Assessing findings quantitatively and visually allowed for the further investigation of students’ knowledge of the city. This inquiry questions the role of the graphic map in research and the boundaries between its technical and artistic values. These findings validate the use of ABER instruments to investigate the city and enhance understanding of the way students live the urban life.

Rangpur is one of Bangladesh's fastest-developing cities. The pedestrian and vehicular movement pressure of this city is increasing simultaneously with its rapid urbanization. A lot of educational institutions currently exist in this city. Most universities & medical colleges have accommodation facilities. The lack of accommodation seems quite prominent in schools and colleges. As there are no accommodation facilities in schools and colleges, the student has to move these educational facilities from their residence. Sometimes, this movement creates extra pressure on mainstream city traffic. In this paper, the focus has been given to the relation and integration pattern among these educational buildings, existing city road networks & residential areas by using space syntax. By comparing existing data with simulated data, I find existing school facilities of Rangpur city are well integrated with residential zones in local integration whether college facilities are concentrated in the north-east portion of the city which may generate extra traffic congestion in further urbanization.

The African continent is urbanizing at a breakneck pace and our cities are in a state of crisis. The causes may vary, so also is the degree of severity, but there is a widely felt sense of urban problems requiring urgent solutions. The nature of the problems is complex, with economic, social, educational, political and physical factors playing major roles in exacerbating the situation. Yet, whatever is perceived to be the most serious physical problems in a city, one key underlying question always present is: What can be done about the disaffection of people for their own urban environments? This issue of fragility may be seen in simple terms of a drop in the perceived desirability of the city as a place one can to live, work or shop in. Whatever the name, the fact is that too many Nigerian cities are becoming unattractive to many citizens and residents. This paper aims at identifying the various ways of assembling a fragile city. Through the review of existing literature, the paper highlights the causes of city fragility focusing on three Nigerian cities. It also discusses fragility as the main hurdle to implementing Sustainable Development Goals and how fragile situation birth architecture of fear. Then, it concludes by noting that developing nations in sub-Saharan Africa, including Nigeria need to be proactive in deconstructing their fragile cities.
