This article reports on examination of the relationships between manager’s personal values, their attitudes toward concern for environment, concern for economic results and enterprise environmental responsiveness. Schwartz’s list of values and statements about the environmental and economic concerns is used. We analyzed 1179 managers’ answers from Slovenian enterprises with structural equation modeling. Manager’s concern results: (a) for environment positively and significantly and (b) for economics negatively and insignificantly, in influence on enterprise environmental responsiveness. Two value dimensions significantly influence enterprise environmental responsiveness and one negatively. Environmental concern mediates the effect of three, and concern for economic results mediates the effect of two value dimensions on enterprise’s environmental responsiveness. Generalization can be limited due to the focus on one Central Europe country; future examination is needed. Findings are useful for the development of enterprises’ pro-environmental behavior and development of enterprise value system. A model of enterprise’s environmental responsiveness is developed.

The accession to the European Union has brought a number of issues that the new member states have to deal with, namely to use the rules and procedures applicable in the EU. These include the transition from the enterprise towards the product-oriented economy in the agricultural production enterprises. The article describes the aspects of methodology regarding this issue within the framework of the Slovak agriculture. The article emphasizes that the product economics allows to define three levels of profit, namely: market, product and enterprise profit. This issue will be illustrated on the example of a Slovak agricultural enterprise, in terms of its planned calculated generation of profit.

Purpose of the study. The production sphere of the enterprise is a dynamic system of cash, material and information flows, in the framework of which the final product is formed, distributed between investments in production capital and own consumption. The task of choosing the optimal proportions of the distribution of the final product is relevant and practically significant for corporations in developing economies. The purpose of this work is, using mathematical modeling, to identify strategy for the optimal development of commercial enterprise, based on the volume of investment in factors of production and consumption norms and the accumulation profit of the enterprise.Materials and methods. To obtain scientific results, general scientific and specific research methods were used: analysis, synthesis, comparison, system analysis, parametric analysis, economic, mathematical and statistical research methods. The theoretical basis of the study is the fundamental work and publications of Russian and foreign scientists in the field of research of optimal management of the economic system of the enterprise. The authors proposed a methodological approach that distinguishes their research from others – a mathematical model of the balanced development of the economy of an economic entity is presented, where production capital, labor resources and intellectual capital are considered as factors of socio-economic development. The information base of the study is the data of the financial and accounting statements of the Public Joint Stock Company Rosneft Oil Company for the period 2006-2018.Results. The factors of development of the enterprise economy are highlighted, among which, in addition to the traditional approach, which includes capital and labor, intellectual capital is introduced into the main production factor. As a valuation of the intellectual capital of the enterprise, the costly method is used. Based on the cycle of reproduction of the enterprise’s activity, a balance equation of the enterprise’s activity model has been formed taking into account capital investments in production factors and consumption and profit accumulation rates. The criterion functional in the optimal management problem is the discounted profit of the enterprise. As a control, a function was selected that characterizes the share of investment in fixed assets, and as a state of the system, the ratio of the value of fixed assets to intellectual capital. The mathematical model of optimal development is applied to the economic system of the enterprise of PJSC NK “Rosneft”.Conclusion. Modeling the dynamics of production capital, labor resources and intellectual capital of PJSC NK “Rosneft” and the results of solving their optimal management problem show that to keep a production enterprise on a balanced growth path, 55% of net profit will be spent on developing the intellectual capital of the enterprise, 35% of net profit – to improve the state of production capital of Rosneft. Given the optimal management in the future for 2019-2022. projected annual revenue growth rate of 19.9%, fixed assets – 16.2% and annual net profit of the company –9.7%.

The paper proposes a conceptual approach to change management in industrial enterprises based on the organizational mechanism of change management system in industrial enterprises based on a set of organizational components (goals and objectives, functions and technologies, methods, rules and regulations, organizational and management processes), have organizational regulation, change management in the interests of the enterprise, the effective operation of the management system. We propose the creation of a center for change management system in the production of industrial enterprises in order to improve the quality of products and organizational support of the production process during the introduction of new technological processes. Thus, the center of change management system in industrial enterprises is a separate set of design department, technological department, equipment and tools department, technological documentation group and technological production group, whose activities are focused on effective implementation of qualitative changes to improve the quality of enterprise development within the product life cycle. To detail the transformation of the existing organizational structure into an improved one, which includes a coordination center for ensuring the management system of changes in production at industrial enterprises, the following steps should be performed: to analyze the organizational structure at the enterprise; to study job descriptions, responsibilities, positions of the personnel involved in change management at the enterprise; based on the existing job descriptions, to allocate new functions of the personnel concerning maintenance of a system of change management in commercial department, financial and personnel management department, etc.; regulation of the interaction between departments and divisions in the framework of providing a change management system; determining the costs of implementing an organizational mechanism to ensure a change management system at an industrial enterprise,That is, the proposed conceptual approach to change management in industrial enterprises based on the organizational mechanism of change management system in industrial enterprises, which is a set of organizational components (goals and objectives, functions and technologies, methods, norms and rules, organizational and management processes) organizational regulation, ensure the realization of the interests of the enterprise through certain changes and increase the efficiency of the management system.

This paper presents views on the small enterprise financial objective function that are sympathetic to existing financial thought, but which capture complexities arising in small enterprises that frequently receive minimal attention in the mainstream finance literature. It is argued that the small enterprise financial objective function should reflect the kinds of enterprise-specific risk that typically exist in small enterprises arising from liquidity, diversification, transferability, flexibility, control, and accountability considerations. A conceptualization of the small enterprise financial objective function by extension of conventional utility theory is presented. It is believed the resulting utility function holds promise as an explanatory framework for financial behavior in small enterprises in that it provides valuable insights into owner-manager decision making and small enterprise development. Consideration is also given to asset pricing model, which consequently might be used in small enterprise financial management.

Current developments in the global and national economics point to a number of problems faced by real entities in the real sector, and as a special area of interest for the scientific public there is a need to provide conditions for the smooth running of the reproduction processes in the enterprise and the realization the positive results of the operation. Enterprises are drivers of inclusive economic growth in the Republic of Macedonia and in creating productive and sustainable jobs.The new conception of the small enterprise as a carrier and engine of economic development is quite persuasive with its economic logic and reaffirms the small enterprise as a significant economic sector. The activities within the small enterprises are aimed at intensifying the results of the work by achieving a balance between objective possibilities and good working principles. The monitoring of the small enterprise, through the prism of its influence on economic growth and development, rejects the traditional view for small enterprises as security guards.The SME sector is a driver of inclusive economic growth in Macedonia and the creation of sustainable jobs increasing productivity. It also does not agree with the notion that small enterprises are economically inefficient organisms.With the third technological revolution in the countries with a developed market economy, the domination of the so-called. small economy, that is, the sector of small and medium enterprises. Today, small enterprises have a growing number of supporters who believe that small enterprises are carriers of innovation and entrepreneurship and are able to react quickly to changes in the environment. For years, the Republic of Macedonia has faced a high rate (29%, June 2013) of general unemployment, which remains a key challenge for stabilizing the economic and social development of the country. The subject of research in this paper is focused on conducting analysis of the active enterprises in the Republic of Macedonia by size, by sector and by number of employees, as well as analysis of the activity of the population and employment by sectors and by type of ownership of the enterprise in the period from 2013-2017.

Deep changes in the information society are determined by the growth of the role of knowledge and information as resources, which are characterized by the ability to quickly lose their relevance, inexhaustibility, and in the case of exceptional uniqueness – high cost. The actualization of this trend is due to the emergence of the knowledge economy. The issues of formation, evaluation and management of value of an enterprise are of considerable interest among Ukrainian and foreign researchers. However, a number of aspects need clarification, in particular, the problems of transforming the structure of the market value of a company and new approaches to managing the value of enterprises. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the process of transformation of theoretical approaches and methodological tools for estimating the value of an enterprise under the influence of dynamic changes in the economic environment, taking into account Ukrainian conditions and the development of methodological recommendations for assessing the value of an enterprise. The research is based on the general scientific methods of cognizing economic phenomena and processes, as well as special research methods (economic-mathematical, statistical analysis, expert estimation and forecasting methods). The article examines approaches to the valuation of a company, which are based on two groups of principles – based on factors of production that generate income, and based on market behavior in the context of knowledge economy. Under the influence of the changing external environment, innovative transformations within the enterprise, a significant increase in business activity is necessary. The solution to this problem is impossible without upgrading the methods and mechanisms of this development, changing its priorities, market institutions, relations between subjects of economic activity, the base of resources. Conclusions. The transformation of the value of the enterprise is one of the key factors for improving the efficiency of economic activity, it depends on its stable operation, dynamic development, the position of the enterprise in the market, and other. Under such conditions, in the process of management of value of an enterprise, it is effective to apply a systematic approach, which is subordinated to the general goal of enterprise development and determines the expediency of management decisions depending on the situation that occurs under the influence of the internal and external environment of the enterprise.

Founders are crucial for the start-ups, which in turn makes it very important to study how founders’ behaviour affects the development of the start-ups. Based on the data of the companies listed on Growth Enterprise Market (GEM) and Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) board from 2014 to 2017 in China, this paper explores the impact of founders’ dual roles of R&D and management on enterprises’ innovation performance from the perspective of founders’ R&D network characteristics. The empirical research reveals that the more an enterprise’s founders participate in the R&D activities and the more central they are in the R&D network, the better the enterprise’s technological innovation performance. It is because the high network centrality enables founders the stronger ability of innovation and opportunity identification and draws their attention to innovation. This research further discloses that the promotion effect is restrained when enterprises obtain more government subsidies and founders have more power. Italso finds that founders’ R&D role does not transform the innovation output into enterprises’ value effectively though the role increases the innovation output, instead, it even restrains the transformation.

Implementation, deployment and maintenance of enterprise software pre-configured products are one of the key challenges managers need to address in order to stay competitive in the never ending search to find better ways of conducting business. In the literature there are discovered two general approaches through which managers can use for a successful implementation, deployment and maintenance of enterprise software products. First approach is based on the internal re-deployment of the managerial practices that are already used to manage other fields in the enterprise. Second – the deployment of “world-wide” industry “best practices” that international vendors of enterprise software and their local representatives sell as part of their pre-configured software products. This paper presents a novel model that enables enterprises to systematically evaluate the fit between their specific organizational characteristics and the organizational characteristics complementary with successful deployment of international pre-configured enterprise software products. The proposed model is tested through a comparison of two groups of enter-prises from the population of 1000 biggest enterprises in Slovenia. The first group mostly invests in local, while the second group mostly invests in international enterprise software products. The paper finds that on average there are significant and relevant differences in 44% of the examined organizational characteristics between the groups of enterprises that mostly invest in international or local enterprise software products. The model serves as a comprehensive organizational risk checklist for enterprises that are about to invest in enterprise software products.

The article analyzes concepts to determining the essence of the economic security management at an enterprise. The main features of identifying the effectiveness of economic security management at the enterprise are stipulated. The theoretical and methodological approach to determining the effectiveness of economic security management of the enterprise is proposed, which allows to identify the threats and predict their consequences, to provide internal balance in the enterprise activity and the compliance of its mission and strategic direction of the activity with its key interests. Moreover, it is proposed to use the matrix of comparing the level of the enterprise economic security (EES) and the total impact on the EES level in one of the scenarios (pessimistic, optimistic, and most probable), which allows to assess the effectiveness of the economic security management of the enterprises and provide recommendations to increase the latter, minimizing destructive effects of dominant threats in the context of certain functional components of the economic security.

Purpose of the study. Creating an effective information security system of an enterprise is impossible without an adequate assessment of the risks to which its assets are exposed. The results of such an assessment should become the basis for making decisions in the field of information security of the enterprise. Identification of information assets and assessment of their value, determination of the level of threats to the security of assets allow planning measures to create an enterprise information security system.This paper discusses a methodology for assessing the risks of information security of an enterprise, a distinctive feature and novelty of which is the use of modern tools and methods for constructing and analyzing business processes in order to identify the information assets of an enterprise to be protected.Materials and methods. It is proposed to identify information assets based on the model of business processes of the enterprise, performed using the IDEF0 methodology. Modeling of business processes was carried out in the Business Studio environment of the “Modern Management Technologies” company.The activity of a typical IT-industry company was considered as an example for the risk analysis.Results. The methodology for assessing the risks of information security of an enterprise described in the article has been successfully tested in the educational process. Its use in conducting laboratory classes in the discipline “Designing the information security system of enterprises and organizations” for masters studying in the direction of “Information security” allowed, according to the authors of the article, to increase the effectiveness of the formation of students’ professional competencies.Conclusion. The paper proposes a methodology for assessing information security risks for objects of an enterprise’s information infrastructure, which makes it possible to identify priority areas of information security at an enterprise. As a result of the application of the technique, a loss matrix is formed, showing the problem areas in the organization of information protection, which should be given priority attention when planning information security measures. Based on the data obtained, it is possible to form an economically justified strategy and tactics for the development of an enterprise information security system.

Introduction. The incentives play the essential role in economics. Their purpose can be determined as the growth of labour productivity, the development of enterprises, regions and national economy. Nowadays Ukrainian and foreign scholars pay special attention to incentives issues. However, despite of a large number of views and approaches, there is still an inconformity regarding the understanding of the economic content of stimulation and incentives, as well as their unified classification. Purpose. The aim of the study is to carry out the analysis of existing interpretations of the concepts of "incentives" and "stimulation" and to formulate their essential characteristics and author's definition on its basis. Results. Scholars’ views on the essence of economic stimulation and incentives categories have been considered. The definitions of the concepts of "stimulation", "enterprise development stimulation", "the economic stimulation system of enterprise development" have been formulated. It has been found out that not only the state, but also non-state institutions can act as a subject of stimulation: banks, insurance companies, mutual funds, etc. Three levels of economic stimulation: micro-, meso- and macrostimulation are determined. The classification of incentives have been suggested.

The coordination plays central role in the economics. The conventional economic theory looks at the market and enterprise (or hierarchy) as two different, separated manner of coordination of economic goods and services. However the modern organization theory, price theory and institutional economics show that different types (not only market and enterprise, but also several types of hybrid forms) of coordination (or governance structure) necessarily live together in the current economic system. Based on my previous research on the field of regional clusters in the food industry I came to the conclusion that the cluster is one of the spheres where economic coordination can occur.At the same time I pointed out that the ways of coordination can be ordered on an ordinary scale according to its normative or positive nature. I’ve also found that the choice between the coordination spheres (market, enterprise or cluster) is not arbitrary, but instead depends on the interest’s dimension which is represented by the exchange of goods and services in question.

Enterprises involved in international business face transaction exposure to foreign exchange risk. This type of exposure occurs when an enterprise trades, borrows, or l?nds in foreign currency. Transaction exposure has a direct effect on an enterprise?s financial position and profitability. It is one of the three forms of exposure to exchange rate fluctuations, the other two being translation exposure and operating exposure. The aim of this paper is to assess the transaction exposure of enterprises in Serbia operating internationally. In addition to identifying and measuring transaction exposure, this paper explores the practical importance that enterprises in Serbia attach to management of this type of foreign exchange risk. We do not find significant differences between domestic and foreign enterprises in their choice of the type of foreign exchange risk exposure to manage. Although transaction exposure is the most managed type of foreign exchange risk, research has shown that, compared to foreign businesses, Serbian enterprises do not use sufficient protective measures to minimize the negative impact of this type of exposure on their cash flows and profitability. We expected that there would be a statistically significant dependence between the volume of enterprises? foreign currency transactions and the level of applied transaction exposure management practices. However, the results of our research, based on a sample of enterprises in Serbia operating internationally, show that transaction exposure management practices can be influenced by factors other than the level of an enterprise?s foreign currency transactions, such as the enterprise?s country of origin.

The article considers the current state of entrepreneurial competence formation of future bachelors in the Enterprise Economics in the professional training process. The analysis of the entrepreneurial competence content is presented in the context of the competence approach, with regard to entrepreneurship, as a leading form of management in market economy conditions. The current state of competence formation of future bachelors in the Enterprise Economics is defined as the process of the future bachelor's professional training in the Enterprise Economics, which is influenced by the general modern education content of our state. The article shows that the current state of entrepreneurial competence is a separate unit in the future bachelors' curricula, in which elements of academic and vocational education are gradually implemented, which are fixed in the process of practical training during the entire period of professional training in the Enterprise Economics. The analysis of scientific works has shown that economic thinking, training in marketing area, discipline, initiative, sense of responsibility, communicativeness, creative attitude to work occupy an important place in the future bachelors' entrepreneurial competence structure in the Enterprise Economics. According to the results of the research, future bachelors training in the Enterprise Economics at National Transport University, we have found out the current state of specialists entrepreneurial competence formation of this specialty. The future bachelors acquisition in the Enterprise Economics in the process of professional training the integral, general and professional competences is analyzed.

In the article it is proved that for Ukraine the priority should be investments in the development of high-tech and high-tech industries. It is noted that in conditions of sustainable development, the quality of investments should be considered not only as an indicator characterizing the degree of return on investment in a particular investment segment and object, but also characterizing the degree of social and environmental efficiency. The overall dynamics of the volume of investments in industry in 2010-2018 is analyzed. A clear tendency has been revealed in the growth of investment in industry in cost terms for the analyzed period for all types of industrial activity: mining and quarrying, processing industry, supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning and water supply. Concrete examples of the development of effective capital investments are given on the example of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih PJSC, Azovstal Iron and Steel Works of the Metinvest Group, and Innovation Forpost Industrial Park.

At the present stage of development of the Ukrainian economic system, the concept of «competitiveness» and its effective organizational support is becoming increasingly important. The problem of competitiveness management is recognized as one of the most important in the theory and practice of economics. It is important for Ukrainian enterprises operating in a transitive economy, whose competitive position in today's world markets remains insufficiently high. A significant number of scientists agree that in the context of rapid globalization and an informatized society, it is impossible to achieve the projected level of economic development due to traditional intensive and extensive factors of production. For companies operating internationally or seeking to develop their own foreign economic activity and face international competition, it is important not only to offer certain goods and services to the market, but to achieve sustainable competitive advantages in the global economic space. A significant place in the process of increasing the competitiveness of modern ukrainian enterprises is occupied by the organizational support of competitiveness management. In the course of this study, the problem of managing the competitiveness of modern ukrainian enterprises was considered, as well as the organizational and economic model of managing the competitiveness of the enterprise in terms of entering foreign markets was proposed. The results of the study are of practical importance for the enterprise of non-specialized wholesale trade LLC EL-ITEX, as proposed in the article organizational and economic model will create a kind of «foundation» for effective management of the competitiveness of the enterprise in terms of entering new markets.

The stability of the economic market is an important factor for the rapid development of the economy, especially for the listed companies, whose financial and economic stability affects the stability of the financial market. It is helpful for the healthy development of enterprises and financial markets to make an accurate early warning of the financial economy of listed enterprises. This paper briefly introduced the support vector machine (SVM) and back-propagation neural network (BPNN) algorithms in the machine learning method. To make up for the defects of the two algorithms, they were combined and applied to the enterprise financial economics early warning. A simulation experiment was carried out on the single SVM algorithm-based, single BPNN algorithm-based, and SVM algorithm and BPNN algorithm combined model with the MATLAB software. The results show that the SVM algorithm and BP algorithm combined model converges faster and has higher precision and recall rate and larger area under the curve (AUC) than the single SVM algorithm-based model and the single BPNN algorithm-based model.

Emotional intelligence and enterprise skills now form part of a fundamental skill set which has not been given prominence in a traditional school curriculum designed towards a job outcome. Young people need not be victims of change. Parents, educators and entrepreneurial role models in the wider community can all play a role in preparing young people for a life of purpose in which they are aware of and can draw on their talents and abilities.

The article is aimed at forming an idea of the coevolution process as the basis for managing the economic security of enterprise. It is noted that the current state of development of socio-economic systems, which include enterprises, are at the stage of post-industrial development. The development of any enterprise depends on its ability to adapt to changes in the exogenous factors of influence, which causes rethinking and the novel approaches to managing the economic security of individual enterprises as preventive measures for adaptation. At that, economic security management should be considered taking into account significant changes closely related to the coevolution process, which has its origin in biology and is understood as a mutually agreed action to change the elements that constitute the integrity of the developing system. It is noted that during the end of the XXth century - begin of XXIst century a transformation of the development of socio-economic systems took place, changing from industrial to noosphere, with its central element being the human, and the central scientific platform for research being the economics of knowledge. Under these conditions, coevolution is considered as the basis for managing the economic security of enterprises with the definition of purpose, objects and subjects of economic security management, with specific provision of the management system and the formation of appropriate management principles. The central element of the economic security management system of enterprise is approaches to management on a coevolution basis, the formation of which is based on the synthesis of general-basis and specific management approaches, namely: evolutionary, systemic, resource, resource-functional. The result of the proposed aspects is obtaining a more effective result from the process of managing the economic security of enterprises.

This article is based on an empirical survey performed by the Research Centre for Competitiveness of the Czech Economy in 2007. We analyzed a sample of 432 companies. The main objective of the article is to formulate the factors which decrease the probability that a given company will be rated as competitive. Using advanced statistical methods (particularly statistical method of pattern recognition developed by UTIA ČSAV and modified in a special way for the purpose of our research) we formulate 20 qualitative characteristics, which can cause uncompetitiveness of the selected firm. These characteristics are then discussed and basic recommendations are drawn.

Annotation. The priorities of business development of business enterprises through incentives and motivation are substantiated. It is established that the motivational mechanisms of any enterprise should be built with the participation of state and regional government and take into account the interests of employees. The connection between staff motivation and financial incentives is determined. The imbalance of remuneration of personnel of different professional categories on the example of energy workers is theoretically and practically substantiated. The system of remuneration of workers in the energy sector has been studied. It is substantiated that with a constant subsistence level for able-bodied persons and an increase in the minimum wage, there will be a further leveling of the prestige of professions and a disparity in wages. The legal framework for the system of remuneration and motivation of staff is analyzed and it is established that the business economy of the enterprise should be based on the principles of effective system of interaction between the state and the region, strengthening ties between other business structures and developing a rational incentive mechanism. The research conducted in this article makes it possible to form a vision of the irrational system of motivation of employees of different categories and the need for state regulation of a holistic set of tasks and goals for the effective functioning of business. The business economy of the enterprise should be based on the principles of effective interaction between the state and the region, strengthening ties between other business structures, as well as developing a rational motivational mechanism, which is supported by constituent documents at the government level and takes into account the interests of employees and owners. Such a system will help to solve the main problems in personnel management at the enterprise and with the correct interaction of motives and incentives will be interdependent elements of the overall development of business, region and state

Especially under level-management philosophy, the agency problem between owners and professional managers often influence the pursuit of enterprise's value maximization. Therefore, an effective rewarding system can make the agent bear some performance responsibility, and can lighten the idle duty problem. Based on this argument, first, this research examines the implementation of a reward plan with employees' bonus and employees' warrant, and whether it can improve the enterprises' performances and shareholder's value. Second, this research uses the Mishkin test (1983) to analyze whether the investors have rational pricing to employees' reward system.

The aim of the article is to study the innovative capabilities of a production enterprise, it is determined that the inefficient use of innovative ideas by enterprises results from the need to increase the economic development of industrial enterprises and the introduction of innovative ideas and projects, as well as the development of a model of innovative development of the corresponding type. The subject of the study is: factors of generating signs of innovation, the influence of scientific and technical developments on the industrial enterprise is determined. The analysis of the existing structure allows us to determine precisely the priority directions of innovative development in the conditions of global changes and integration into the world economic space of post-socialist enterprises, taking into account constructive and key factors ensuring their resultant effect. In addition, a closed scheme of the formation of a system of strategic innovation development, which will allow the verification of the adequacy of predictive values and ensure the achievement of strategic innovative performance of the business entity, is proposed. Methodology. The article uses classical methods of scientific research, among which are: observation, scientific abstraction and comparison, analysis and synthesis. Results. The conducted research is based on the thesis that structural and dynamic shifts within the production enterprise and their transition to a qualitatively new level of economic growth are only possible if active development of innovative resources of different nature will increase the ability of the enterprise to self-development, improve competitive positions, and make it possible to become an equal partner in the world community. Practical implications. Explains the complex causes of the current state of industrial enterprises, namely, former socialist enterprises, their problems were identified, and the ways of the enterprises’ exit to the new level of development are proposed taking into account the constitutive and key factors of ensuring the effectiveness of the innovation activity itself. The closed-loop scheme of strategic innovation development of a production enterprise is suggested in the practice of management that will protect an enterprise from the inefficient use of innovative resources and innovative opportunities on the basis of a counter-check on the adequacy of the constructed forecasts and the feasibility of carrying out innovative changes and attracting investment resources. Value/originality. In the market conditions of small and medium-sized enterprises development, the choice of a strategic direction is primarily connected with the desire to reduce production risks in the enterprise. When organizing production activities, a small and medium-sized business enterprise gives preference to those branches of agriculture, that do not require large investments, provide high economic efficiency, and whose products are in demand in the market. The article deals with the application of economic and mathematical methods for selecting a rational organizational and production structure of a small and medium-sized business enterprise, taking into account the production potential and production efficiency. The economic formulation of the task of justifying the rational organizational and production structure of an enterprise in a market economy should be formulated in accordance with the increase in the level of food provision for the population and focusing on making profit as a result of economic activity. Criteria for optimizing such tasks should be chosen: maximum profit or minimum arable land to provide feed for livestock sectors. The task is solved for the near future on the basis of the planned, regulatory and reporting information of a particular enterprise. We have developed the economic and mathematical model for optimizing the production parameters of the enterprise LLC “Surnay” of Baltasinsky district, which is typical for small and medium-sized businesses in terms of the composition of industries and the size of farmland in the Republic of Tatarstan. The economic and mathematical model of the posed task represents a logical system of the main branch and inter-branch relations in the production process. As a result of economic and mathematical modeling, a decision has been obtained that reflects the optimal content of the branches of a particular agricultural enterprise and contributes, in our opinion, to the effective use of productive resources (land, labor, etc.), which allows producing the maximum volume of output.

Abstract. To identify the most significant demotivators of personnel at enterprises, to develop measures aimed at neutralizing demotivators at enterprises, increase the integrated rate of staff activation, increase the efficiency of enterprise management. In the process of writing the work were used such research methods: general and special. From the general science were used the following methods: deduction (in constructing the structure of levers of influence on the formation of the mechanism of evaluation, motivation, and stimulation of enterprise personnel), induction, abstract logic and synthesis, analysis (in analyzing the dynamics of the integrated indicator of staff activation). From the special methods: factor analysis (in the study of corrective measures to reduce demotivators and increase the integrated rate of staff activation in the enterprise), calculation and design and comparison method, tabular and graphical, economic and statistical, correlation analysis, forecasting methods and other methods of economics and management processes and phenomena. The paper investigates the problems that may arise in the evaluation, motivation, and stimulation of staff identified demotivators of staff work. Four stages of the staff activation system were also considered. The coefficients at the expense of which the level of the actual state of group indicators of personnel activation at the enterprise is calculated are determined. A list of recommended corrective measures to increase the integrated indicator and reduce the level of demotivator impact on enterprises. It is established that the general purpose of the mechanism of evaluation, motivation and stimulation of personnel should be the result of coincidence of goals and interests of employees with the goals and interests of the enterprise, increase staff productivity, encourage employees to take initiative in solving both personal and enterprise problems atmosphere among subordinates, meeting the basic needs of staff, preventing overwork. The proposed methodology can be used as a methodological basis for solving problems of strategic management of the enterprise and its personnel. Determining the level of financial and economic security of an enterprise allows assessing the real possibilities to confront internal and external challenges and defining the potential for future development. To develop proposals on assessing this level, the study uses data on machine-building enterprises of Zaporizhzhia region (Ukraine) and applies integral method, regression analysis and normalization. The expert evaluation method was used to form the system of key parameters. The experts were economists, the accounting departments’ and the economic security departments’ members of the studied enterprises. The experts selected six indices that they consider to be the most representative of the financial and economic security of an enterprise. These parameters were used to calculate the integral indicator of the level of financial and economic security of enterprises. Harrington’s approach was used to group enterprises according to their level of financial and economic security (very high, high, steady, satisfactory and unsatisfactory). The calculations have shown that the integral indicator of financial and economic security of the enterprises of Zaporizhzhia region ranged from 0.32 to 0.66 for the period 2014–2018. It was justified that along with the support of financial stability, solvency, business activity, profitability, investment attractiveness and innovativeness and absent sharp changes in the environment, the level of financial and economic security of machine builders will increase from 0.4 to 11.9%. Organization of an effective system of economic security is an important aspect of business growth in modern management conditions. Due to the large role of information resources, the reality of threats, the information security problems of enterprises and organizations in Ukraine are relevant. Without protection of the enterprise information environment, it is impossible to ensure its economic security. The heads of enterprises in the field of economics and business do not have special literature on information security. Questions of concepts, characteristics, and components of information security are not fully understood. Scientific provisions for managing information security of enterprises have not been developed. The purpose of the study is the theoretical justification of the organizational support of the enterprise information security. The author has proposed measures to optimize information security management. In the scientific literature there is no single view on the concept of “information security”. The author carried out a theoretical analysis of this concept. The concept of “information security” is the security state of data processing and storage systems. This is to ensure the confidentiality, accessibility and integrity of information. These are measures aimed at ensuring the security of information from: unauthorized access, use, publication, destruction, alteration, viewing, verification of recordings or destruction. We have studied the research direction on the concept content of “information security”. Information security management must adhere to the principles of information security. We offer the following principles: legality; planning; complexity; continuity; interaction of subjects of ensuring information security; improvement; scientific validity; technical implementation; the control; warning. The main measures for managing information security of enterprises and organizations are summarized. We examine how owners of productive resources (e.g., public enterprises or financial capital) optimally allocate their resources among wealth-constrained operators of unknown ability. Optimal allocations exhibit: (1) shared enterprise profit—the resource owner always shares the operator's profit; (2) dispersed enterprise ownership—resources are widely distributed among operators of varying ability; (3) limited benefits of competition—the owner may not benefit from increased competition for the resource; and, sometimes, (4) diluted incentives for the most capable—more capable operators receive smaller shares of the returns they generate. The development of Ukraine’s economy is followed by the transformation processes that create certain challenges for business entities in the machinery industry, since it is characterized by a long operational and financial cycles that triggers investment risks and hampers the reproduction processes as well as provides barriers to ensuring the relevant level of science and technology development in the sector. Apparently, the external environment tends to damper the product quality in the machinery manufacturing industry. The lack of relevant economic background to enhance the implementation of innovative means of production hinders both the process of supplying enterprises in other industries with their own means of production and their productive forces development. Economic stability of enterprises is critical for ensuring the effective functioning and development of industries in the national economy as well as for attaining current and perspective goals which are largely affected by the competition level within domestic and foreign markets. The paper focuses on studying the external business environment dynamics in the machinery industry to ensure its economic stability. The methodological framework of the paper covers the study of classical economics research, scholarly publications of scientists and specialists in enterprise management, along with application of combined research methods: analysis and synthesis, theoretical and logical generalization and modelling. The research findings on exploring the external environment effects on enterprise performance in the machinery sector have revealed the current reasons for the decline in their economic stability. Rationale is provided for the need to implement the mechanism of economic stability management in the machinery industry under the dynamic settings of the modern economy which is an important tool in building and managing the overall enterprise economic security strategy. The research results might have significant implications for further development of the theory and practice of economic security management in the area of enhancing the capacity of machinery industry enterprises.
