Women play an important role in the field of entrepreneurship in the small and medium industry. This study aims to analyze the role of women entrepreneurship, eco-friendly entrepreneurship, and market orientation, on the marketing performance of SMEs. This quantitative research uses a sample survey where the number of respondents is 200 people. Primary data was collected through a questionnaire with a 5-Likert scale. Data analysis using SEM-PLS. Research findings show that women's entrepreneurship has a significant effect on eco-friendly entrepreneurship, as well as market orientation. In addition, environmentally friendly entrepreneurship has been proven to have a significant effect on market orientation, and market orientation has been proven to have an effect on marketing performance. Simultaneously, the marketing performance of MSMEs is significantly influenced by women entrepreneurship, eco-friendly entrepreneurship and market orientation.

Plastic production has become a global concern, including in Bangladesh. Among all types of plastic products, single-use plastic is considered treacherous and the most responsible for damaging the natural environment. To replace plastics on a daily usage basis, the entrepreneurs of Bangladesh have reiterated some initiatives to manufacture and promote plastic alternatives. This study aims to assess the market potential, existing challenges, and users’/customers’ perceptions of the plastic alternative industry in Bangladesh. Key informant interviews (KIIs) with structured questionnaires were conducted among 15 plastic alternative entrepreneurs and 30 customers through online platforms. The framework analysis method was used to analyse and interpret the collected data. Despite highlighting some challenges, plastic alternative entrepreneurs contribute significantly to replacing plastic products, and the market potential is quite promising for this industry. Moreover, this study portrays an efficacious inclination of consumer behaviours towards using plastic alternatives. By following the concept of the green economy, the entrepreneurs of the plastic alternative industry in Bangladesh are gradually able to replace plastic products and contribute toward building a sustainable city

Unemployment and scarcity of job opportunities count as major problems suffered in villages, especially by the youth. To this end, rural entrepreneurship, particularly in tourism and ecotourism sector, may contribute to the growth of rural economy through strategic and forward-looking planning along with other factors. Innovation and creativity are turning into one of the essential ingredients of continued development. Rural museums, such as “Eco-museum”, are one of the measures taken with regard to protecting various material and spiritual phenomena resulting from traditional habitats. “Eco-museums” can be deemed as a project to support sustainability, and a significant factor for development of entrepreneurship and businesses, especially small- and medium-sized businesses. Espidan, a village in North Khorasan province of Iran, can exert such an effect and play such a role as an eco-museum. Through library resources and field studies, the present study attempts to examine the potentials of Espidan for strengthening its rural tourist properties and fulfilment of ecotouristic objectives in line with three main criteria: public contribution, exclusive eco-museum activities, and creating social, cultural and natural conditions (the determining the vital conditions for a place to evolve into an eco-museum). A study and evaluation of the recommended criteria in Espidan indicates that the village demonstrates considerable potentials for evolving into an eco-museum. As effective steps towards achieving continued development, practical solutions have been proposed for fulfilment of eco-museum objectives as such an evolution into an eco-museum can result in rural entrepreneurship.

There is no doubt that innovations represented key source of competitive advantage in the last years. Therefore, firms were forced to come up with new or significantly improved goods, services as well as organizational and marketing practices. However, countries, firms and policy makers are facing great environmental challenges for sustainable development and entrepreneurship, which create large demand for Eco-innovations with environmental benefits nowadays. For these reasons, we are analyzing different factors influencing creation of firms´ Eco-innovations in the EU. To obtain an interpretable model of firms´ Eco-innovations and their determinants, we use fuzzy rule-based classification models and latest available data form Community Innovation Survey 2012-2014 created by Eurostat. Our results show that firms´ Eco-innovations are influenced by different factors according to the nature of innovation (product, process, organizational, marketing) in the EU. Public financial subsidies and firms´ environment (e.g. existing environmental regulations, taxes, charges or fees, market demand, and costs of inputs) play key role in the process of creation Eco-innovation with environmental benefits. These results show possible ways how support sustainable entrepreneurship and regional (national) development not only within analyzed countries. We provide initial analysis dealing with different kinds of Eco-innovations and its determinants that could help firms to develop and enhance their corporate innovation and environmental policies. These results could also inspire policy makers at different levels because we propose some practical implications. This study examines the process of conveying information on the persuasion process and evaluation in business communication on entrepreneurship in Eco Pesantren Daarut Tauhiid. This research uses a case study method with a qualitative approach. The theory used is the diffusion of innovation and the AIDA model related to attention, interest, desire, and action. This study also uses a SWOT analysis (strength, weakness, opportunity, and threat). The results showed, information delivery was carried out with friendliness, simplicity, suitability, and connectedness. The persuasion process is characterized by kindness and strength which is reflected in the characters of discipline, courage, honesty, sincerity, toughness, and ketawadhuan. Innovations in entrepreneurship in Eco Pesantren Daarut Tauhiid include communicative bamboo dormitories, profit sharing in the agribusiness system, and storage of merchandise in collective stalls. The evaluation carried out in the Daarut Tauhiid Eco Islamic Boarding School's entrepreneurship uses a SWOT analysis that captures the main strengths and weaknesses in the Daarut Tauhiid Eco Islamic Boarding School's entrepreneurship, and describes the opportunities and threats faced. Penelitian ini mengkaji proses penyampaian informasi persuasi, dan evaluasi dalam komunikasi bisnis pada kewirausahaan Eco Pesantren Daarut Tauhiid. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teori yang digunakan difusi inovasi dan model AIDA yang berkaitan dengan attention (perhatian), interest (minat), desire (hasrat), dan action (tindakan). Penelitian ini juga menggunakan analisis SWOT (strength, weakness, opportunity, dan threat). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, penyampaian informasi dilakukan dengan keramahan, kesederhanaan, kesesuaian, dan keterhubungan. Proses Persuasi diwarnai corak kebaikan dan kekuatan yang tercermin dalam karakter kedisiplinan, keberanian, kejujuran, keikhlasan, ketangguhan, dan ketawadhuan. Inovasi dalam kewirausahaan Eco Pesantren Daarut Tauhiid meliputi asrama bambu yang komunikatif, bagi hasil dalam sistem agrobisnis, dan penitipan barang dagangan dalam warung kebersamaan. Evaluasi yang dilakukan dalam kewirausahaan Eco Pesantren Daarut Tauhiid menggunakan analisis SWOT yang menangkap kekuatan dan kelemahan utama yang ada di dalam kewirausahaan Eco Pesantren Daarut Tauhiid, serta menggambarkan peluang dan ancaman yang dihadapi.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to explain the influence of human capital (HC) on the organizations in terms of eco-innovative entrepreneurship, and the existing relations of these resources with economic and financial resources as well as other capabilities of the firms. A secondary challenge in the research is to define and measure the availability of HC in firms for those eco-innovative processes. Design/methodology/approach The targeted population for the study was eight eco-innovative companies in Spain. Within each company, a detailed CEO questionnaire was collected to measure HR information, certification or the existence of internal initiatives to promote eco/innovation, and secondary source records to measure economic and financial performance. This data collection strategy eliminated the possibility of percept-percept bias, since the data for each stage of the model were collected from different sources. The database has been analyzed through a qualitative comparative analysis (QCA). Findings The main conclusion from the QCA analysis indicates that the role of the specialized HC involved in the R&D and innovation activities, the environmental management of firms and the resources (energy) management are relevant factors in the eco-innovative process and they have to be specifically managed for the development of eco-innovations. The qualitative analysis shows that firms that devoted specialized HC to the eco-innovation activities are companies at least ten years old, which have R&D and innovation departments as well as a specific department for the environmental management. They have been certified through some environmental certification standards, have human resources devoted to the product design, promote entrepreneurship for innovation among their own employees and also have higher than the sector average rates of leverage. Research limitations/implications The main limitation of this paper is linked to the number of analyzed study cases, although all of them are sufficiently representative. Nevertheless, given that the empirical research addressing the interrelated factors of eco-innovation and HC is still not abundant, this study provides an interesting starting point for discussion and the improvement of the qualitative method applied in this paper. Moreover, further research is still needed to fully elucidate how the corporate entrepreneurship is promoted to respond to the eco-innovation strategy of firms, as well as to deeply explore the characteristics of the intellectual capital concerned to the eco-innovation processes. Originality/value As a novel application, the influence of HC in organizations in terms of eco-innovative entrepreneurship has been analyzed through the measurement of the level of HC specifically devoted to eco-innovation in eight eco-innovative companies. One of the contributions of this study is to define the variables to measure the HC that is available for eco-innovation in an eco-innovative firm. The main conclusions are of interest to practitioners concerning the eco-innovation development in firms.

In 2020-2030 an estimated 70 % of Indonesia's population of productive age. This is an opportunity that needs to be optimized through education so that it appears ecopreneurship new entrepreneurs who care about the environment in anticipation of not match jobs with people who need a job (as an employee). This paper describes the concept ecopreneurship education, the urgency of ecopreneurship education, and implementation craft-based ecopreneurship education in the curriculum of 2013. Based on the results of the study are known to still craft curriculum subjects that need to be improved because there is less and less environmentally friendly in accordance with ecopreneurship. Ecopreneurship education is the use of content-based craft subjects as substance entrepreneurship education (intra and extracurriculum) combined with the concept of environmental awareness in entrepreneurship that will produce eco-friendly crafts, eco-innovation, eco- resources, and eco- commitment.

After the UN’s adoption of 17 Sustainable Development Goals in 2015, it became clear that the relationship between sustainability and entrepreneurship was an area for re-examination. Traditional measures of entrepreneurial success rested largely on economic indicators; observatories like the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) extended them, including cultural and social indicators. There is now a real need to measure and analyze the relationship between sustainable entrepreneurship and eco-innovation and drive positive economic activity outcomes, sustainable development, and social welfare. For GEM’s consideration, this paper proposes a reimagined tool by which to measure sustainable entrepreneurship and eco-innovation in businesses and assess their level of alignment with UN SDGs. Specifically, it presents a new measurement method, incorporating, but simplifying, a complex range of variables, which can be crystallized into a set of items (questions) to determine businesses’ commitment to entrepreneurship sustainability—social, economic, and environmental. The results can be cross-referenced with other relevant variables, and indicators proposed by the UN, to determine what causal or explanatory relationships might or might not exist. The proposal represents a valuable extension to existing data gathering tools, and will be of use to researchers and practitioners in the field of entrepreneurship—especially as its sustainability credentials and environmental impact are in the spotlight.

The new leadership of China is faced with a series of complex challenges. In September 2013, Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed a Silk Road Economic Belt and in October a 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road; together now referred to as the Belt and Road Initiative. The Initiative aims at building a community of shared interests, responsibility and destiny with mutual political trust, economic integration and cultural inclusiveness. Investments and trade cooperations are major tasks in building the Belt and Road. As a member of higher education community, how could we be of any assistance in solving the employment problem for the government, upgrade the traditional foreign trade for the enterprises and train innovative students for the society? Samboggede Village, Merakurak District, Tuban Regency, East Java, is known as the pioneer of an independent village since 2018 with a Development Village Index (IDM) score in 2021 of 0.9497. In addition to maintaining the independent village category, efforts to improve the community's quality of life continue. Village officials and people involved in village development, such as Bumdes, tourism, and micro-small industries are the key and at the same time the driving force for improving the quality of life of village communities. There are 67 units of small micro industries including 50 units of household industries, including a village-owned enterprise and village tours. There are still 220 poor families out of 1,387 families, but this is more due to the motive of government assistance. Community service in the Political Science Masters Study Program, Wijaya Kusuma University, Surabaya is focused on developing eco-socio-eco-preneur insights, namely the introduction and deepening of modern entrepreneurship based on information and communication technology which includes (eco)-nomic, (socio)-cultural aspects, and (eco)-logy for plus village apparatus. Devotion focuses on developing eco-social-entrepreneurship insights in (1) improving the quality of the environment, socio-culture, and diversifying types of business (2) creating content for social media, which has been used institutionally directed at increasing village entrepreneurship personally-individually. Result of this assistance, people with existing smartphones can easily take advantage of their social media accounts and create attractive promotional content to share, so that the information can be reached as widely as possible. Apart from that, Samboggede Village as a village with business potential for its citizens and a natural tourism destination can continue to improve its status as an independent, progressive village.

What is Ecopreneurship? This thesis proposes to define ecopreneurship in theory, and to increase the understanding of it in practice. Ecopreneurship can be seen as one of several ways of doing business in a more environmentally friendly way. It is conzeptualized as the intersection of entrepreneurship theory and sustainability studies. A non-exhaustive list of three sub-concepts of Ecopreneurship is identified and discussed: Eco-Innovation, Eco-Commitment and Eco-Opportunity.

In addition to the theoretical framing, this study also includes an empirical part, in which by means of multiple case studies, insight is gained on how Ecopreneurship and its sub-concepts manifest in practice. Apart from the three concepts already identified in the theoretical part of this study, the themes of social equity, indirect Ecopreneurship and the time aspect of Eco-Innovation emerged from the analysis of the case studies. This thesis presents an emerging framework for ecopreneurship, which still has gaps to be filled if accepted as a framework.

Despite the increasing popularity of the concept of entrepreneurship for sustainable development in both academia and policy making, there is no agreement on how this process should unfold and which objectives it should pursue. Perceived tensions between the paradigms of sustainability and economic development as well as alack of shared definitions and assumptions lead to ambiguous understandings of the idea of sustainable entrepreneurship. This thesis uses the theoretical framework of ecological economics to investigate a leading discourse within the field of sustainable entrepreneurship and aims toclarify the underlying assumptions and implications of the current discourse. The analysed discourse is created by SEED, a global UN partnership which promotes entrepreneurship for sustainable development with a focus on African countries. The discourse analysis is conducted according to four analytical elements as defined by Dryzek (1997: 2013). The theoretical reflection of the discourse through the lensof ecological economics and its strong sustainability paradigm functions as a foundation for the conceptualisation of strong sustainable entrepreneurship from which implications for the current sustainable entrepreneurship discourse are derived.

This case study features an exploratory investigation involving capability development among technologically oriented student entrepreneurs within the University of Ottawa’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Utilization took place of a mixed methods approach involving a survey of student entrepreneurs, interviews with facilitators and student entrepreneurs, and secondary data where possible. This mixed methods approach was necessary to collect a ‘thickness’ of data to justify a case study research design, including a check for robustness such as to demonstrate ‘trustworthiness’ of the data. Unique insights build on existing literature to offer a contribution to knowledge. Although the university ecosystem offered varied supporting mechanisms, perceived barriers also existed. Moreover, invariably the development of threshold rather than dynamic capabilities took place. Implications for practitioners follow from the theoretical contributions in order to facilitate a more effective university entrepreneurial ecosystem. In particular, a need exists to enhance the development of capabilities that build traction and scalability.

This thesis presents a tentative definition of the concept of sustainopreneurship - in the most simplified form described as entrepreneurship and innovation for sustainability - “Business with a Cause”. The concept takes its departure from generic entrepreneurship theory development, its extensions and further contextualization into the domains of sustainability, primarily through recent research. A literature review provides core references related to the conceptualization of sustainability entrepreneurship. A claim is made that there is a need for further conceptual development, especially viewed in contrast to the empirical material and experience, when digesting the literature that deals with concepts preceding sustainopreneurship. These concepts are eco-preneurship and social entrepreneurship, as well as current descriptions of sustainability entrepreneurship, including some sources where the word sustainopreneurship in itself is introduced for the first time. The methodological approach used when conducting the literature review is an analytical stance. Additional analysis, integrating and extending the reviewed sources, leads us to a performative definition of sustainopreneurship. This tentative definition is presented as an imagined prospective wordbook entry in a “future history” format. One of the key distinctions in between entrepreneurship in general and sustainopreneurship, is that sustainopreneurship is mission- and cause oriented - business activity is used as a means to solve sustainability-related problems. In short, to turn business activity from being a part of the problem to be a part of the solution.

This world of ideas is set in contrast to the practical enaction of On a Mission Sweden – Inc. Ass, and the seven brands developed from this business platform – Club PuLS™, DJ Anders, SEEDS Sustainability Investment Fund, SEEDS Magazine, Ignition®, SLICE Services and Publishing™ and S*E*N*S*A. Three of these only reached conceptual stage for future potential launch. Four got established, and of these; one idle, two spun off in their own ventures, and one intended to spin off during 2007. Entrepreneurship as a concept to describe the nature of these ventures was experienced as insufficient, until 2003, when the concept of “sustainopreneurship” was found by serendipity. The conceptual dissatisfaction with “entrepreneurship-as-usual”, together with finding this new concept, made me instantly embrace this concept in the moment when stumbled upon. Another major driver for this work is a strong aspiration to take the abstract, general words and statements from world summits and conferences to the practical, hands on, down to earth, grass-root, local level with real world interaction to make possibilities of the problems related to the sustainability agenda. The ventures created from a time span of over seven years, forms a vast, deep, dense, intense and extremely rich “gross” empirical base from where the study collects its selective “net” material relevant for this study. The methodological approach to make sense and use of these serial and parallel self-initiated and self-experienced venturing processes is enactive research. The enactive research provides an opportunity to test the suggested formulation of sustainopreneurship – from the abstract idea to the concrete interaction. A special form of ethnography is used named self-ethnography. The ventures who have proven to perpetually evolve, develop and sustain are focused; On a Mission Sweden – Inc. Ass. and Ignition®. These ventures have provided the most significant change in both idea development, practice, and effect - both regards my inner world of insight breakthroughs and personal development, and the findings on a more abstract, conceptual, theoretical level. In order to highlight the three key dimensions of the concept, some key courses of events have been selected where they are considered to hold illustrative power: Firstly, the central events before the formalized venturing. Secondly, the milestones singled out during the venturing. Thirdly, some post-venture reflections around the process as such. The ethnographic style of the tales of the field is predominantly realist, with some degree impressionist.

The final chapter summarizes and presents an intermediary conclusion whether the concept has met the test and also discusses the meaning of the exercise as a whole. My own function is examined and evaluated briefly. The promise of the conceptual introduction is contrasted towards the approaches-as-usual regards the sustainability agenda that introduced the thesis, and some key points are delivered. Venturing in the name of sustainability allows agents to “act outside the box” related to the institutional framework that governs the structures that is set to solve the problems today, equipped with an upgraded mindset, operating with an agility made possible by the flexibility offered by creative business organizing. The quest to make (business) opportunities from the agenda set by sustainability, and organizing upon them in itself creates a sustaining meaning internally within the team to be able to ride through the storms – the same force traditionally driving NGO’s “not-for profit”, now coupled with a good business sense operating “for-profit”, with profit as a means, not as an end in itself - in a new in-between-land named “for prosperity”. When properly understood from knowledge increasing among other stakeholders than the sustainopreneurial teams and their closest supporters and early adopters, the welcoming of sustainopreneurial ventures are destined to increase. Proliferation and diffusion of sustainopreneurship in idea, applied interaction and reflective practice beyond this point can turn sustainability to be the main driver for business activity, internalizing the external sustainability demands as the primary purpose of the business creation and idea, forming its strategic intent, and integrated in its “organizational DNA”. Sustainopreneurship holds the power to give even more leverage to forces emerging from the business world that contributes to sustainability. Throughout the process, a question has been emerging to serve as a new opening for further interaction, where the claim is that sustainopreneurship delivers a good part of the answer;

To respect climate change goals, reinforced by COP21 in Paris, an overhaul of the energy system in EU countries will be necessary and this will involve a major deployment of low-carbon technology (Stern 2006). Although the relative roles of green new ventures and incumbent firms in the dissemination of environmental innovation remain unclear (Hall, Daneke et al. 2010), entrepreneurship shows promise as a response to environmental prob-lems (Anderson 1998, Schaltegger 2002, Hart, Milstein 1999). Since green new ventures are free from the innovatory constraints faced by incumbent firms (York, Venkataraman 2010, Hockerts, Wüstenhagen 2010), they are in a position to disrupt existing unsustaina-ble markets. Designing and implementing an energy policy with an “entrepreneurial fla-vour” (Wüstenhagen, Wuebker 2011) could be advantageous in achieving a successful sus-tainable transformation of the energy system. This thesis examines how entrepreneurs per-ceive energy policy in three advanced EU countries using a case study approach, with each country constituting a case. Data sources comprised policy documents, interviews with entrepreneurs and key staff in new ventures, and field notes from practitioner conferences. At this critical point at which direct support for renewables is being withdrawn, it is argued that efforts must be made to retain this entrepreneurial force in the energy market. This thesis reflects on the degree to which the market-creating support mechanisms are being withdrawn. If entrepreneurship is to thrive in a post-support context, there must be consid-eration as to how to better integrate decentralised renewables into the energy market, espe-cially in relation to how they can compete effectively with conventional technologies, namely nuclear and gas. In addition to alternative strategies to incentivise adoption of re-newable energy technologies beyond early adopter consumer categories (Rogers 1995), building greater public consent to sustainability policies is crucial to the continued success of energy entrepreneurship. Geopolitical factors surrounding energy security may rein-force the case for continuing to support entrepreneurship in the renewable power sector.

This thesis argues that since the current global economic system contributes to the degradation of local economies and communities, alternative economic models based on multiple self-reliant economies led by community-based entrepreneurs could create a basis for a more sustainable global society. The research questions work to clarify how this vision of an alternate economic structure could become reality, and identify a gap in the skills base of current progressive entrepreneurs. Employing the method of backcasting and using an iterative research dynamic between the current reality of progressive entrepreneurs, as understood through case study interviews in four countries, and a vision of entrepreneurs as community-based change leaders, a new concept of entrepreneurship emerges in community sustainability entrepreneurship. The results point to four interactive skills for entrepreneurs, specifically that entrepreneurs a) hold and realize a vision of sustainable enterprise within sustainable community, b) support community needs through an ability to capitalize on community assets, c) develop competency in sustainable development and d) participate effectively in networks. Conclusions detail specific steps that can be taken by entrepreneurs, community development professionals and academics to realize the vision of entrepreneurs as community-based change leaders.

Portugal procura sair de uma grave crise resultante de uma recessão económica global, que afecta hoje as sociedades mais desenvolvidas. O aumento das taxas de desemprego e a eminência de falência da Segurança Social, determinam a urgência de incentivo à criação de emprego e à reinserção na vida activa. O Turismo é um sector de actividade muito importante para a economia do país, resultando numa acentuada parcela do PIB nacional. A potencialidade dos recursos turísticos é elevada e a inversão da tendência económica dos últimos anos, passa obrigatoriamente por uma aposta política neste sector de actividade, diversificando a oferta, apostando na sustentabilidade e qualidade dos destinos. O plano de negócios que a seguir se apresenta resulta de uma aposta do autor no sector turístico, através da implementação de um aldeamento turístico com respeito pela vertente ambiental, numa região de grande potencial turístico, a Costa Alentejana.
Entrepreneurship is, in general, the most effective strategy to boost countries’ economic development. Its political endorsement, incentives, and the sustaining mechanisms that allow the creation of new companies result from the existence of a strong business fabric, which mirrors countries’ economic sustainability. Portugal aims at exiting the present global economic recession which affects the most developed societies. The increase of unemployment rates and the eminent failure of the social security system determine the need to create employment and to reintegrate people in the labour market. Tourism is a very important sector for Portugal’s economy, namely in terms of the country’s GNP. The potential of tourism resources is outstanding and the reversal of the economic trend experienced in recent years is necessarily dependent upon a politically-endorsed focus on this economic sector, including the diversification of its offer, increasing focus on sustainability, and the need to improve the quality of tourism destinations. The business plan here presented stems from the author’s focus on the tourism sector through the implementation of an environmentally sustainable tourism resort in the Alentejo’s coastline, an area of undeniable tourism potential.

L’entrepreneuriat durable représente une forme de réponse à cette préoccupation à travers l’intégration des normes de développement durable dans le cœur de métier de l’entreprise. Ce type d’entreprise vient répondre à des objectifs économiques, sociaux et environnementaux. La recherche en entrepreneuriat durable s’est particulièrement intéressée au profil de l’entrepreneur durable. Cependant, la recherche ne s’est pas suffisamment interrogée sur la façon dont il procède. Il est considéré comme l’agent de rupture à travers l’introduction d’éco-innovations. L’innovation apparait donc comme une solution aux problématiques sociales et environnementales. Mais ceci n’est pas suffisant pour considérer ce phénomène entrepreneurial comme une forme innovante. Cette thèse tente de combler ces manquements en modélisant, le processus entrepreneurial durable. Par ailleurs, l’emprunt d’une théorie de l’innovation « C-K Theory » permet de rapprocher le processus entrepreneurial durable du processus de conception innovante CK dans l’objectif de déterminer le caractère innovant de l’entrepreneuriat durable
The notion of sustainable development is today a central concern of the population and the public authorities. Sustainable entrepreneurship is a form of response to this concern through the integration of sustainable development standards into the core business of the company. This type of business comes to meet economic, social and environmental objectives. Sustainable entrepreneurship research has been particularly interested in the profile of the sustainable entrepreneur. However, the research did not ask enough about how it works. It is considered the breaking agent through the introduction of eco-innovations. Innovation therefore appears as a solution to social and environmental issues. But this is not enough to consider this entrepreneurial phenomenon as an innovative form. This thesis attempts to fill these gaps by modeling, the sustainable entrepreneurial process. In addition, the borrowing of a theory of innovation "C-K Theory" makes it possible to bring the sustainable entrepreneurial process closer to the CK innovative design process in order to determine the innovative nature of sustainable entrepreneurship

En la actualidad cada vez más personas se preocupan por su salud y por el bienestar del planeta, es por ello que se ha incrementado el consumo de productos no solo saludables sino también eco amigables. Sorbeteli se presenta como una alternativa innovadora y diferenciada al ofrecer sorbetes comestibles y eco amigables, elaborados en base a frutas en distintos sabores. Nuestro sello distintivo será que el cliente tendrá la oportunidad de personalizar los sorbetes para fechas o eventos importantes y, además, el ofrecer un servicio de calidad y con todos los protocolos ante la pandemia generada por la COVID-19. En el desarrollo del trabajo de investigación se explica y definen los aspectos fundamentales del negocio con la herramienta del BMC. Por otro lado, los MVP’s se realizaron con la intención la validar el modelo de negocio, estos nos permitieron conseguir el máximo aprendizaje sobre el producto y nuestros usuarios. Finalmente, se desarrollaron los planes: estratégico, operaciones, marketing, recursos humanos, responsabilidad social y financiero. Con respecto al plan financiero, es importante mencionar que los estados financieros se muestran favorables al proyecto Sorbeteli. Asimismo, los indicadores financieros nos permiten medir la rentabilidad y determinar la viabilidad del negocio, podemos concluir que el proyecto es viable debido a que el Valor Actual Neto del proyecto genera un beneficio neto de S/.65,018.76, además se obtuvo una TIR (55%) superior tanto al COK (17,46%) como al WAAC (16%).
Nowadays, a growing number of people are concerned about their health and the well-being of the planet, for that the consumption of not only healthy but also eco-friendly products has increased. Sorbeteli is presented as an innovative and differentiated alternative by offering edible and eco-friendly sorbets, made with fruits in different flavors. Our hallmark is that the client would have the opportunity to personalize the straws for important dates or events and, in addition, we offer a quality service with all the protocols in the face of the pandemic generated by Covid-19. In the development of the project, the fundamental aspects of the business are explained and defined with the BMC . On the other hand, the MVP's were carried out with the intention of validating the business model, these allowed us to achieve the maximum learning about the product and our users. Finally, we developed the business plans :strategic, operations, marketing, human resources, social responsibility and financial. In relation to financial plan, it is important to mention that the financial statements are favorable to the Sorbeteli’s project. Likewise, financial indicators allow us to measure profitability and determine the viability of the business, we can conclude that the project is viable because the Net Present Value of the project generates a net profit of S/.65,018.76, in addition, an IRR (55%) was higher than both COK (17.46%) and WAAC (16%).

This chapter examines the scaling and diffusion of green entrepreneurship between 1980 and the present. It explores how entrepreneurs and business leaders promoted the idea that business and sustainability were compatible. It then examines the rapid growth of organic foods, natural beauty, ecological architecture, and eco-tourism. Green firms sometimes grew to a large scale, such as the retailer Whole Foods Market in the United States. The chapter explores how greater mainstreaming of these businesses resulted in a new set of challenges arising from scaling. Organic food was now transported across large distances causing a negative impact on carbon emissions. More eco-tourism resulted in more air travel and bigger airports. In other industries scaling had a more positive impact. Towns were major polluters, so more ecological buildings had a positive impact.

This chapter examines green entrepreneurship in the waste and tourist industries before 1980. Both industries were products of economic success, but had bad environmental outcomes. In both industries the profit motive of conventional business was preeminent. Green entrepreneurs were few and far between, although they were also not entirely absent. In the waste industry, even before the 1920s, a handful of entrepreneurs developed clear ecological arguments, and basic processes for sorting and recycling waste materials still used today. In tourism, railroad companies and other conventional businesses sometimes played proactive roles in seeking to prevent environmental despoliation. Later proto eco-tourism businesses were created.

Therefore, the value attributed to the production of each input is different. With booming economy and developing markets, natural source and entrepreneurship directed large and small company’s innovative mindset in order to increase production. This situation in the country increased competitiveness along with development of the economy. However it is overlooked that “Natural Resources” used as an input in the economy is processed unconsciously. At this point innovation, whose importance is realized more with the Innovation Economy, has developed and Eco entrepreneurship, which is one of the contemporary concepts, emerged. In the markets, entrepreneurs hoping to find new ways to create untouched markets, generated Eco entrepreneurship, which we will hear more in the future. In this study, it is tried to draw the attention of investors and companies to "Eco entrepreneurship", and banks to their share in the market with this concept.

Methodology: An explorative study was conducted based on the BIPA project, a Bavarian (German)-Israeli Partnership Accelerator, which was held four times between 2015 and 2017. The project aims to experience entrepreneurial virtual multicultural teamwork via co-creation of tailored-solutions for challenges of German or Israeli corporates. Retrospective interviews with participants were held after finishing their mission, and analyzed. Contribution: This research contributes to the body of knowledge about multicultural diverse participants in virtual entrepreneurial environments, in order to work together. This situation raises new challenges, due to the combination of multicultural teamwork and the use of virtual communication. Findings: The multicultural teamwork was a trigger to participate, specifically in the con-text of entrepreneurship studies with those two cultures, German and Israeli, which were found by participants as complementary, stimulating and fruitful, although challenging. Through experience, participants improved their entrepreneurial skills and mindset. The major teamwork challenges that were found included conflicts concerning free-riding, as well as communication challenges, due to virtual, language and cultural communication competencies. Recommendations for Practitioners: At a practical level, results can be useful for global companies, showing the benefits of virtual teamwork of employees in different locations, both in terms of reducing expenses and improving innovation. Moreover, managers can motivate employees by highlighting personal benefits, such as cultural awareness and improving their entrepreneurial skills and mindset. In addition, faculty may use this kind of experience to enhance entrepreneurial learning skills and mindset. Recommendations for Researchers : At the theoretical level, this research advances the body of knowledge of entrepreneurial multicultural teamwork in a virtual environment. In this research, the teams worked for a short time together (14 weeks) and had a week of face-to-face interaction with their team members. It is recommended to examine long-term teamwork, and how it affects teamwork challenges, as well as entrepreneurial learning. This research found the combination of German-Israeli cultures as stimulating entrepreneurial teamwork. It is recommended to examine other cultural combinations in teams, in order to be able to generalize findings. Impact on Society: Understanding the needs, benefits, and challenges of entrepreneurial multicultural teams working in a virtual environment can be useful to current global entrepreneurial eco-system, which is commonly using this kind of teamwork. Future Research: ‎This study included teams from two cultures: German and Israeli. Research must be expanded to different cultures and to groups compounded from more than two cultures. Moreover, the combination of virtual communication and face-to-face meetings in different milestones during the timeline of the teamwork must be further examined, especially in longer projects.

Nowadays, graphic arts bindery sector has shown growing environmental awareness in reaching the targets regarding economic, social, environmental, and technological aspects. Croatian bindery small entrepreneurship sector provides a piece of work done for clients in a sheetfed offset lithographic printing manufacturing which isn’t involved in any manner in bindery manufacturing. On top of that, sustainable bindery concepts are strictly related to effective printed resources usage, in which the generated waste is reduced through numerous binding manufacturing activities. In binding sector, designing concepts help achieve less negative environmental impact. Sustainable awareness is beginning from practical work, from preparing plans and a modelling shape, in which the process of designing the three-dimensional book presents its proposed structure on a printed original scale. Bindery eco-efficiency concepts cope with manufacturing service activities, in which the printed paper sheets (or outputs) together with binding raw materials move in a specific direction through the machine operations (cutting, folding, gathering, binding, trimming, joining and surface finishing), which are predictable in edition binding. This study provides a comprehensive overview on how a new approach in book designing might contribute to reducing “nonhazardous” printed or/and bound paper output residuals which gradually appear in a specific way during book binding process. What’s more, it offers “eco-friendly book binding”, which has “the best book in class” value. This eco-efficient bound production is monitored as well as the indices of graphic arts materials are followed up throughout the working procedures under standardized circumstances. These innovative creative thinking might bring up sustainable engineering solutions or frameworks in which “the business as usual” shifts towards “the eco-friendly business”. Eco-labelled printed paper sheets, from Croatian markets, are a sustainable choice which encourages responsible business and leads to zero pollution and circular economy. However, scientists have been worried about the fact that many manufacturing sectors rely on using adhesives with non-renewable resources, which are harmful to humans. Present published literature gives a general overview on the existing advanced adhesives which have less harmful impact on environment, but at the same time have promising performances.

This paper presents a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) case study aiming at assisting Chinese Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to identify the environmental improvement opportunities. A typical refrigerator SME located in suburb of Shanghai is visited for data collection. Besides, related project reports, academic papers, and LCA software and databases are referred for necessary data. Environment inventory of manufacturing a typical Chinese household refrigerator model is calculated and analyzed. Results show that ABS components are the major contributors to energy consumption; production of rubber (for gaskets), MDI (for insulation) and packaging materials are the most water polluting processes, while phosphatizing treatment of compartment plates and door panels generates most of the waste water with phenol; the majority of CO2 (eq.) and SO2 (eq.) is emitted during ABS component and steel sheet production while the use of F-containing coolant causes most of the CFC-11(eq.) emission, which is the major cause of ozone depletion. The opportunities of environmental improvements are then assessed by sensitivity and economical analysis. It is suggested that for refrigerator manufacturing SMEs, reduction in ABS use and eco-optimized packaging solutions are the most cost-effective measures for environmental improvements. Also, there are improvement potentials in material and energy utility management of SMEs. However, considering their limited management capability and access to resources and information, SMEs needs support from the public sector in entrepreneurship and environmental education, technological and financial help and regulatory protection for sustainable development.

Textile specialists require a continuously updating of the technology knowledge in the field. This is a premise for the possibility of implementation into production of the latest technological advancements in the textile field and of manufacturing competitive textile products. The project Adan2Tex, financed through the program Erasmus Plus, supports the professionals in the textile industry, by an e-learning course on the latest technological developments in textiles. Out of the 7 modules of the course, five modules are for advanced knowledge in textiles: "Advanced Knitting Technologies", "Virtual prototyping of garments, 3D scanning, clothing for people with special needs", "New method for testing textile materials", "Standardization of textile testing" and "New sustainable textile technologies, LCA, Eco-labelling" and two modules for improvement of the economic skills: "Entrepreneurship" and "Innovation management". These modules are accomplished by a consortium of five European partners from Czech Republic (TZU), Portugal (University Minho), Romania (INCDTP and UT Iasi) and Slovenia (University Maribor) in accordance to the latest advancements in the textile research knowledge. The modules are posted on the eLearning platform, for a quick and attractive modality of learning for the trainees. The configuration of the eLearning platform (Moodle) is performed by taking in consideration the necessities for VET of the specialists in the textile industry: professionals in the textile industry (SMEs), young entrepreneurs and trainees in higher education. Accordingly to this target group, the following specific features of the eLearning platform will be introduced: -Animations and movies with processing modalities of textile machines -Attractive testing with different levels of difficulty -Synchronous communication for tutoring -Multi-language structure for dedicated trainees groups -Concise and synthetic knowledge for VET skills The project has a duration of two years (2014-2016) and the eLearning platform has the URL address www.advan2tex.eu.

The specialists in textiles, the high school students and the young entrepreneurs are able to implement the updated knowledge by being involved in a Vocational Education and Training (VET) process. Hence, key research providers in textiles have joined with the purpose of providing modern knowledge for the world of work. These objectives have been met within the Erasmus Plus - Advan2Tex project "E-learning course for the specialists in the textile field" (2014-2016). The e-learning course envisaged is based on an e-learning platform containing 7 modules in the field of innovative textiles: "Advanced Knitting Technologies", "Virtual prototyping of garments, 3D scanning, clothing for people with special needs", "New method for testing textile materials", "Standardization of textile testing" and "New sustainable textile technologies, LCA, Eco-labelling", "Entrepreneurship" and "Innovation management". Five European research providers have joined within the project's partnership and have elaborated the 7 modules in all the national languages as well as in English. The represented countries are: Czech Republic (TZU), Portugal (University Minho), Romania (INCDTP and UT Iasi) and Slovenia (University Maribor). These 7 modules in 5 languages have been uploaded as book resources on a Moodle e-learning platform. The content was divided in chapters and subchapters, while the images and pictures have been uploaded separately. Each module is followed by a set of multiple choice questions. The multiple choice tests have been transformed in GIFT format for a centralized upload. An online conference room has been configured for questions and answers between tutors and trainees. Nevertheless, synchronous (chat) and asynchronous (forum) communication instruments have been also implemented on the platform. The trainees have been organized in cohorts , which were assigned to the courses categories on the project's languages.
