Повний текст джерелаThe participation of free men in the movements led by rebellious slaves sets a complex problem in terms of the importance of the freedom/slavery antinomy in the thinking of the ancient Greeks and Romans. The chattel-slaves, defined as things, were represented as foreigners. The slaves served as the ‘Others’ against which all citizens, from the rich slave owners to the poor artisans and peasants, defined themselves as a unity. The contrast between the slave and the citizen made it possible to shade, from an ideological point of view, the relations of exploitation and the differences of wealth between the citizens. This tended to suppress the social conflict between them. Despite the significant legal and political differences between the free and the enslaved, and the ideological representation that was made of it, the sources narrate that some free men not only did not repress the rebel slaves in the great servile revolts, in solidarity with their rich fellow citizens, but they plundered these last ones or joined the fugitives. In the present work, we study the participation of impoverished free men (aporoi) in the late-republican servile wars and the relationship they established with the rebel slaves, a problem that has sometimes been neglected by the historiography or only partially treated. Some historiographical currents neglected the participation of the aporoi in the servile wars, and others overestimate it. In opposition, we revalue a line of investigation that, on the one hand, maintains the servile nature of the insurrections, since, the main role was apparently of the rebel slaves, but on the other hand affirms that the participation of free men was an important element. We believe that this point of view is the most appropriate for the testimonies of the sources and we contribute elements to rethink it. Those elements include: to focus the study within the framework of the classic democratic imaginary that will tend to promote the citizen solidarity facing the servile threat; to analyse each revolt individually to evaluate the relationship between the subaltern sectors; and understand the participation of the aporoi, either its parallel rebellion or its inflow to the rebel ranks, as the symptom of tensions within the citizen body that can be defined in terms of stáseis (civil discords), of which the servile revolts nurtured from the beginning. Therefore, the participation of the aporoi is a factor, among others, that helped the growth of the servile revolts. In the case of the first Sicilian revoit and the revoit of Spartacus, we maintain the existence of a conjunctural alliance between the rebellious slaves and the aporoi .In contrast, in the second Sicilian revoit, we defend the interpretative line that supports the idea that there was no relationship between the two groups, but rather two parallel revolts: the free poor simply took advantage of the opportunity in the servile revoit to plunder the properties of the rich. Our work attempts to nuance the most rigid theoretical views that affirm the absolute incommunicability between plebeians and slaves. There were occasions, albeit unusual, where the abyss that separated the free man from the slave did not seem to be so great, at least not to the aporoi, who ignored the imaginary that pitted them against the dishonored social dead. Повний текст джерелаTV programs based on words/debate/discussion appear to us as a space of crystallization of the linguistic and identity conflicts which the Algerian society knows. They show and amplify the dysfunctions of television and public communication in Algeria. This study consists in trying to understand the contexts and modalities of articulation of the psychosocial and ideological determinations by exploring situations of exchange and transmission which seem to reveal a kind of communicational discomfort on television. By analysing the word as a marker of identity and psychology, we have tried to identify symptoms of "dyscommunication". The expressions of the latter appear as the consequence of a politico-ideological failure and the indicator of an identity cleavage between the speaking subjects/enunciators. The problem which we raise has to do wit the phenomenon of maladjustment of the language used on television, which seems to influence the (both linguistic and paralinguistic) capacity of expression and to weaken the emotional and phatic potential of the speakers on television. Our observations and our investigation show that the receivers/viewers are sensitive to the emotional messages and to implicit cultural signs conveyed by mimogestual emblems, paraverbal language, pronunciation, and that these are determining factors in the quality of a communicative interaction, on television as in everyday life. Language alone is not enough to convey the totality of the message. The televiewer is very attentive to the "cooperative statements" and to processes of mutual recognition, as well as to the sociocultural and emotional skills which accompany and naturally emerge from endogenous speech

Even if he recatures in philosophy the concepts, the problems, one mustn't bring pascal's apologetic to a philosophical discourse. It's spiritual discourse that does not have any other premise than the religious experience. One must understand that the full range of the apology of the christian religion, it is not to provewhat descartes did, but to persuade humain beings that it is reasonable to believe. And at that moment, the exact range of pascal's discourse appeares clealy in contrast to the discourse of the philosophers. Thus, pascal rejects this entire notion for it to substitute another discourse, and the other discourse is the discourse of persuasion

Other works of his are also examined : cartas literarias a una mujer, cartas desde mi celda, some art criticisms, some drawings shows taken from the album of los borbones en pelota. This analisis shows two unrelated worlds of knowledge : the feminine and the act of creating throughout a poetry that is a reflexion about the poetical act itself. So, there is a discourse of love which is adressed to the feminine and a poetic discourse which comes out of the feminine. The first volume studies this poetic discourse and in the first part, becquer's concept of the poetic creation appears. Then, in the second part, the different approaches to his writing is related to painting and music. On one hand the texts and verses are analyzed in relation to those two arts and on the other, some drawings of los borbones en pelota are examined

Peirce's semiotic we suggest to describe and analyse the rodolfo usigli's signs of theatrical speech act, into a period historically given 1930-1950. We characterise the usigli's signs of theatrical speech as theater signs as society signs counterpart, and we describe them as icon, index and symbol that operate with semiosis (meaning constitution) inducing a sign-representamen an interpretant - sign, and an object - sign. This process characte- rizes the three moments : production, representation (performance) and interpretation. The operating theatrical sign and the semiosis reveal in the works of usigli a theatrical practice that she shows a theatrical object codified that is closely connected with the society under interpretant pressure. Like this, the usigli's theatrical speech talks the mexican lower and middle class speech and explains the playwgright's ideological function

Повний текст джерелаOur work deals with the polemical discourse that we approach from a polyphonic point of view, showing that polemical discourse integrates another discourse in order to contest it. For this purpose, we used previous researches on polyphony. By analysing the plurivocity degree of polyphonic discourses we could distinguish between weak, medium and strong polyphony. By taking into account the nature of the relationship between the voices we could isolate other forms of plurivocity i. E. Consonant, neutral and dissonant polyphony. We focused on dissonant polyphony as it appears in polemical discourse by showing that its high degree of plurivocity makes it an example of strong polyphony. Our study of polemical discourse rests on the distinction between "le polémique", that we considered as a set of features that mark the polemical character of a discourse and "la polémique" that we considered as a particular form of conflicting communication. We analysed some structures that mark "le polémique" such as Puisque p, q; Pourquoi+Cond. ?; Parce que p? P, peut-être? By using a global characterisation of polemics we finally studied its functioning inside three types of discourse (political, media and scientific) and we pointed out the various particularities that it may have in each of these

Architecture, which seems to be embodied fundamentally through materiality, experiences similar trends. Some architects are positioned on the field of concepts, making speech the primary tool of their research. Based on the idea that plastic thinking and verbal thinking operate under separate arrangements, we studied the work, written and built, of contemporary architects for whom the use of text is prominent in creation. We have identified three forms of discourse, the poetic form - which makes speech a work of art, the theoretical form - convening philosophical concepts, and the mathematical form, which aims at creating a meta-language serving the design - and we tried to understand their respective parts in the project planning

Повний текст джерелаThe genesis of this research work ensues from the reflection on the practices of education with a group of Vietnamese professionals in the health sector. This study takes place in the context of the globalization and in that of Vietnam which tries to open economically on the outside world. The object of our research work concerns the study of the construction of meaning of a medical text by the Vietnamese learners. We shall be interested more particularly in the understanding / production of professional documents and in their appropriation in a hospital environment. This field of investigations is strictly connected to the operating concepts such as those of Text and Discourse, and occupying a central place in the definition of the text, the coherence / cohesion couple. Starting from the hypothesis that the medical discourse owes its legitimacy to the textual coherence, the major question is to wonder what are the constituents of the coherence of a specialized text. The operating concepts are borrowed from the Discourse analysis and its related disciplines. So, our work of analysis joins rather in the line of the discursive linguistics, and in the lesser measure of the psycholinguistics. This work privileges the study of the situations of linguistic communication, and thus the study of the kinds of discourse; it also places in the foreground the textual organization and the location of the marks of statement. With regards to the lines of coherence which specify the medical discourse to make it quite global, it is a question of studying them not only in their textual dimension but also in their pragmatic configuration, under their aspects that are thematic, enunciative, argumentative and communicational. In this theoretical frame of analysis the other elements of the architecture of the research are introduced: the problematic expression of the languages for specific purposes, the history of the medicine in Vietnam, requires an analysis on the educational tools and at the end that of the productions of learners. If this research does not really put new educational approaches of the medical speech in vietnamese proposed context, we would however think that the conclusions which we arrived will be of great interest and benefit to our colleagues in the area of french language teaching

Повний текст джерелаThis study of Eighteenth-Century fiction and medicine (1719-1771) aims at presenting an interdisciplinary analysis of both discourses. Daniel Defoe, Samuel Richardson, Henry Fielding, Tobias Smollett and Laurence Sterne use some elements of the medical discourse to justify their literary enterprise. They tend to argue that fiction can prevent the reader against vice, or even cure him. To study how medical and fictional discourse interact with each other, this analysis follows the tree steps of the medical process—description, prescription and treatment. The description of life—so essential to the medical thought—is becoming the vital concern of realistic fiction, which assimilates some medical principles such as circulation. Many prescriptive strategies are enacted by authors of fiction and medical doctors who write about domestic life, suggesting some proper ways of dealing with one's body. Finally, both fiction and medicine offer to cure through movement, by exercising and purging, thinking and laughing. Corrosive satirical laughs are assimilated to a certain healing violence often associated with the medical treatment

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis studies the discourse of the European Union about the European Judicial Network between 1996 and 1999. Using discourse analysis and lexicometrics within the theoretical framework of argumentative semantics, it explores the meaning of words associated with the expression of « area of freedom, security and justice ». The research mainly aims at understanding how the discourse reappropriate universal values in order to construct, through argumentative processes, a European identity that embodies the European Judicial Network. After presenting the political context and the linguistic theories used in the analysis methods, the thesis examines the conditions of discourse production and its semantic particularities. It argues that the discourse constructs an identity based on the values (liberty, security and justice) conveyed by the three pillars of the European Judicial Network : institutions, organised crime and citizens. The thesis then puts forward the idea of a “discursive normalisation” that helps, through its linguistic forms, to legitimate the identity construction and its political issues. It also defines a process of “argumentative manipulation” resulting from this “discursive normalisation” implementing a very distinctive linguistic frame. According to those results, the research concludes that normalisation and manipulation generate circularity of the discourse, which is based on the conflict between two discursive orientations, on the one hand security and on the other hand democracy and the Rule of law

Marguerite Yourcenar and Julien Green's works represent rich examples, in particular their academic discourses. Its problem is less its identification as play, obvious to everyone, that a problem of communicating the idea of what is being played: « So, what is play ? If no one asks me, I know; but if I want to explain when people ask me, I do not know anymore. » (L. Wittgenstein). More than play, this is a rethoric which is the topic of our research, that is to say this dynamics that involves the act of playing and makes human a player belongs to the intermediate area of experience (D. Winnicott). A rethoric at the interface between human rethoric of play and play rethoric about human, a playful rethoric of the ludic way : a ludology.Approaching play as it express itself, from implicit to explicit, from mythology to literature or epistemic thought about play, leads to focus on the values that play conveys and through it can be recognized, since play is not a form but a modalization: « what we believe is happening » (E. Goffman).From the functions of play, it is possible to organize the playful rethoric and, beyond the simple field of study, to develop a framework of ludologic understanding. This framework no more favours a rethoric over another nor the creation of a new rethoric, but definitely the articulation of the rethorics of play, not emphasizing components but the consistency of their dialogue (S. Genvo), consequence of the dynamics of the ludic way. Indeed, from a complex perspective (E. Morin), all theses rethorics of play do not contradict but complement and fertilize each other, provided we consider them potentially, for what each is likely to point out from the other.As rethoric of play rethoric, ludology is its homothetic, at the interface of human and his play, narration and simulation, time and space where the potentiality that play opens to human is realized in the choice that does not belong entirely to one or to the other, but whose interaction finally makes possible « the exercise of possibilities » (J. Henriot), providing the play, with the accomplishment of human, its condition as its purpose: its playful feature as synonymous with fun.So, undertaking play from a communicational and semiotic point of view makes possible to identify the specificity and scope of human play that embodies the ludic way. Ludology is this rethoric of the rethoric of play as a prospective, projective, creative and experiential way of knowledge that enriches human and social sciences

Повний текст джерелаUntil today, the historiography concerning the attitude of Italian bishops during the First World War dealt with the subject from essentially a political perspective, focused on bishops' commitment to patriotic ideals and the level of support for the war. This research takes into account, on the one hand, the analysis of the pastoral discourse made publicly by the Italian bishops about and during the «Great War», and on the other hand, the analysis of the discourse inside of the church hierarchy addressed both downwards (to priest-soldiers and fighting seminarists) and upwards (to the Holy See). Thus, the actual explanatory categories by which the war-event was understood and judged by bishops are revealed. The picture that emerges is heterogeneous: beyond patriotic rhetoric, the most dominant finding is represented by providential reading of the conflict. By attaching a redemptive meaning to death from fighting for one's country, it proved to be a decisive factor in legitimising the participation of the faithful. The analysis of the correspondence between the bishops and fighting seminarists, and between the bishops and the Holy See demonstrates the existence of different tones and sensibilities. Although worth recording, they do not seem to change the overall picture that the public discourse displays.

Повний текст джерелаTo what extent is top management able to cope with the complexity of their organization’s environment? As if they progressively became aware of these “authorized” strategists’ bounded rationality, other actors involve in decision making and, more generally, in strategizing. Thus, polyphony, i. E. The natural diversity in discourses and ways of talking within and about the organization, is stimulated. In a French village we study in its wider local and national context, polyphony turned into conflict. As they disagreed with the strategic intention of the municipality (being itself partly constrained by regional political orientations), several actors from inside and outside the village publicly challenged the strategic project that was presented to them. This dissertation examines influence strategies, specifically discursive strategies, that take place in order to (de)legitimize the contested project and, eventually, to influence the strategic orientation of the village. We suggest the concept of strategic figureheads to account for the involved actors, at the individual and group level of analysis. We propose the existence of four mechanisms, which often pass unnoticed, capable of explaining why a given controversy ends up with the domination of one discourse, and not another one: pretext effect, discourse coalitions, organizational denaturation and reading disposition. Our work may more particularly inform the practice of competitive intelligence

Повний текст джерелаThe thesis is about choregraphic practices of a new type, that have been developing in France since the early 1990s, in parallel with dance, performance and visual arts. They are at the basis of an artistic phenomenon which concentrates on a heterogeneous web of artists, dancer-choregraphers, performers, plastic artists all together having remodeled both ways of dancing and watching dance. They also have enlarged the notion of this typical art which have been differently named : non-dance (non-danse), performativ-dance (danse performative), déceptiv-art, plastic dance, conceptual dance. Following diverse and supplementary approaches, those followed in creation by creators themselves, that is to say : historical, theatrical and critical approaches, the study considers the discursive dimension of practises, dimension shared with artists and watchers, critics, theoricians, schedulers. That is why the practice of speech is measured up to a certain number of issues, as far as the new definition of the dancing-object, the new status of the dancer-choregrapher, the reform of the various spaces of art, the presentation of a new space for the dance public, the development of a model of production which is alternative and competitive. This study emphasizes the speech within the practice of choregraphers, such as Jérôme Bel, Boris Charmatz ans Xavier Le Roy (second part) and at the same time, opens an esthetic-critical reflexion onto the other representants of the artistic movement. The third part of the thesis is dedicated to the creation of a critical space concerning some models of production of today’s choregraphic art

Повний текст джерелаWith an English for Specific Purposes perspective and adopting the methodological tools of discourse analysis, this thesis explores the characteristics of environmental discourse considered as a specialized type of discourse. As a result of a change of conception of our environment, the trends of thinking, the practices and discourses that are developing, with the aim of contributing to the protection, preservation, or regeneration of the environment have become part of the specialized domain referred to as environmental. This emerging domain and its main components are defined in this thesis.The first part of the thesis presents a global vision of the domain and of its discourse. The central concepts of the environmental movement, environmentalism, ecology and ecologism are analyzed. A definition of the concept of environmental discourse is then offered, starting with the presentation of the content of various authors' work on the object and concluding with the identification of its specificities thanks to tools elaborated in the French school of English for Specific Purposes. The second part of the thesis is devoted to the discourses and practices of organisations in the UK. We present, within this specific cultural context, the main organisations that have a role to play in the environmental domain and describe their principal environmental communication discourses with a particular focus on new genres, specialized terms and recurrent discursive practices. The internal organisation of the domain is also considered with the presentation of a typology of organisations, of the relations they maintain as well as of the role and specificities of environmental experts.The study is completed in a third part by a descriptive analysis of a genre that plays a decisive role in the domain: reports on corporate social responsibility. After having presented the context in which this type of report emerged and its main function, we question the way these reports represent the main actors of the domain and the existence and influence of generic norms in a diachronic perspective

Повний текст джерелаThis work analyzes identitarian discourses among writers from the French Caribbean, in particular Aimé Césaire, Edouard Glissant, Maryse Condé, Patrick Chamoiseau and Raphaël Confiant. Around the central question of the geographical ensembles outlined in their discourses on man (Negro, Black, West Indian or Creole), I examine the context of their production, their implications, their performative dimension and the ways in which these discourses can influence collective representations. I focus in particular on the relations between writers and anthropologists. Certain writers promote native and artistic perception, and stress the cognitive efficacy of literary writing without however disqualifying scientific discourse. The spaces of belonging they set out are linked to mappings proposed by literary scholars and social scientists (notably Herskovits, Bastide, Leiris, Benoist, Chaudenson, Hall, Gilroy). I show that their « original geographies » cannot be reduced to Césaire’s conception of African West Indies, Condé’s Black world, the Creolity movement’s Creole world, or Glissant’s Archipelago. Linked to their conceptions of identity and an increasing resistance to categorizations and to ethnicization by the other, the complexity and variability of their discourses reduce their impact, although it remains visible in the way that local collections in libraries are organized. The writers are concerned with the local diffusion of their discourse through direct interaction with the public, sometimes teaching, and the creation of literary prizes. Finally, I stress that their participation in literary evenings and other cultural events over the last twenty years testifies to their interest in the emergence of reader communities and in literary sociability as a means of reinforcing a sense of belonging

Повний текст джерелаTwo key questions have been the core inatter of our research, namely, can the training of teachers in the training school of education provide the algrian school with school teachers capable of suppressing the massive stream of school failure and wastage, and are these schoolteachers motived to take up the teaching profession ? different techniques have been used to answer these questions : interviews, questionnaires, simulation, the + blason ;, discourse analysis via a. P. D and tropes, etc. The results obtained are outstanding in more than one way. The training is inadequate and heuce cannot produce teachers capable of dealing with the pupils and getting round their failure. The schoolteachers are not motived in their task. Their motivation is of an individualistic type. They have chosen this path more in the absence of something else than by vocation. It is because they have not found other opportunities that they chose teaching. Besides, the boys, undoubtedly, for reasons related to the crisis algeria is presently undergoing thicule that school failure will be solved by the return to ancestral and religious values at school. However, the girls thicule that the solution to this uneasy situation is in the hands of politicians and heads of education who, since national independence, have continuously plunged the algerian school in the depth of depression and crises because of their irresponsible and selfish decisions. Consequently, we have concluted that in so far as the social crises algerian goes through have found adequate solutions, the school problems will persist

In this purpose, he uses questions as didactic tools, intending to bring students to have discursive initiatives in the context of pedagogical act. Bearing the role of the informant during this act, his her questions are but a means to impose the professorial discourse during the class. In order to do this, the teacher selects certain interrogative structures which are not used in everyday conversation, and rejects others which he she thinks may hinder encoding to by the students. He also reformulates certain questions in order to give more coherence to his her own discourse. As a result, the interrogative situation turns into a questioning situation, and students' language behaviour turns out to be very far from the principles. The second part surveys and assesses Kierkegaard's philosophical readings in the danish samlede vaerker (complete works) and papirer (papers). The use Kierkegaard makes of these readings in his works is much more important than is usually acknowledged. (A long annex to the thesis gives a detailed list of the philosophical references in the papirer. ) The third part shows with precise examples that it is through analyzing and discussing the doctrines and concepts of philosophers (above all Hegel), that Kierkegaard constructs his own notions (dialectic of stages, paradox, ethics, repetition, existence, and so forth). A shorter fourth part investigates the philosophical modalities which appear even in his more indirect means of expressions (pseudonymic writing, "philosophical fragments", metaphors, etc. ). Kierkegaard, a reader of philosophers and a fully-fledged philosopher himself: such are the two inseparable facets of our thesis

The saving religion, pretending to universality imposes its dogmas in a teaching promising access to eternal life. Повний текст джерелаThe process of generalising when making an utterance could be defined as a means of de-constructing the specificity of an event or a propriety. It is then necessary to go beyond the frame of phrastic genericity, which operates exclusively on syntactic-semantic values, and to explore all the form a speaker is likely to use for producing an "ever-true" utterance directed to an addressee. Taking into account this starting-point the process used is that which situates generalisation as a phenomenum at the junction of utterance and argument, introducing thus the problematic of the speaker. We have consequently attempted to oppose the notion of generalising utterance to the generic sentence. Not only does this notion enlarge the field of our investigations, but it calls for a methodology of distortion which consists in eliminating any form of uttering modulations capable of affecting the token-utterance without questioning its "law-like" value. Seen under that angle, generalisation opens up a field of research comparatively autonomous and complementary to that of genericity. Its incorporates to the field of the syntactic semantic contraints the intra-subjective components, turning speaker into a potential member of a class of speakers, and every utterance into one likely to be uttered again

Повний текст джерелаThis work about sociocultural history aims to demonstrate that bolero didn't content itself with reflecting political and mental disruptions occured during a period of more than a century, but on contributing to fashion a new image of spain, it has been thevery soul of its artistic influence. The first part of the work investigates the bolero from every creative facet. As a symbol of autochthonous resistance, but filled with foreign contributions, bolero stands at the meeting point of conservatism and a liberalism of either political or individual conscience. The fixation of its oral poetry into written melody, at first, leads us to study the transformation of its primitive form of traditional song into bel canto. Nevertheless, bolero also is a dance which inspires, intrigues or dazzles drawers, engravers, painters, sculptors and earthenwaremakers. The immortalization of its choreographic art into plastic works, subsequently, induces us to think about the decline, in the iberian world, of its prestigious status at the courtier balls into a more modest one, of provincial dance. Bolero can be defined as an expression of two crossed trajectories which threaten it with disappearance. In second part, these expressions are answered by just as antagonistic discourses reactions, due to the historical circumstances. The consubstantial dichotomy with the bolero incites the spaniards to express themselves in the comic register. The serious-tone pages share themselves between the reserved testimony and the enthusiastic defence of an elaborated forms bolero, although refusing the convention fetters. Thus, adaptable form according to the events, the hispanic modality bolero functions as analternately repulsive and attractive pole. Concentrating all the ideological and cultural tensions from the eighteenth century second half to the dawn of the twentieth, it takes part in the iberian world transformation

Thes approches both exploration and creative have put the subject of the analysis of litterary ahead of several methods witch vary according these personal view-point of evry researcher or theori cien based larglly on their evaluations of language-system (langue) language-use (parole); on the subject language in generaly (le langage en general). Briefly put, narrative analysis finds its essential basis in linguistics drawing from its directions and its schools. A work of litterature is in the first place a collection of written (thought sometimes oral) sings combined in such away as to have one or several several meanings or significations witch the author is not of necessity obliged to explain at the time of writing (production). The meaning or significance becomes apparent folwing decoding techniques of the text in a different way from that of its authors, thus the variety of analytical approches each tring to explain the text. In some of these approches the stress is placed on the workings of the text, on its strucruting and its closure others attempt to examine its functions or its inscrip tion in the interaction. In reading the epic of gilgamesh i have tried to avoid basing basing my approche on any speciyfic one of these various systems since they all have nearly the same aim, namely to explore the complex world the story in order to reveal the workings whitch at a given period throught in into being
