Повний текст джерелаThe present study aims at providing support in understanding communities of practice (CoPs) development conditions. We decided to focus this study on communities of practice intentionally created. A qualitative research has been performed in order to confirm and enrich the literature review results. We identify factors influencing learning and sharing knowledge through communities of practice. We found that organizational, community, technological and individual aspects affect the development of these organizational forms. We also found that competition between communities of practice and other existing groups, the lack of human contact and “Top-Down” creation way are the most important factors which limit the development of these organizational forms. The identification of conditions under which a community of practice may be successful allows organization to understand the reasons of successful or unsuccessful communities of practice and how to develop them effectivel

Повний текст джерелаIn many countries today, situational crime prevention is a strategic research sector in the battle against crime. Originating within the Home Office Research Unit in the UK during the mid 1970s, this ‘new technology’ has the purpose of developing crime prevention solutions by intervening in situations where crime commonly occurs. What has now come to be called “crime science” is based on an array of practical knowledge, evolves between research laboratories and various professional sectors (police, town planning, etc.), uses evidence-based research, and implements its theoretical discoveries in socio-technical innovations (prevention and risk reduction systems). This thesis retraces the development of situational crime prevention technology to have a closer look at the controversies from which it takes its shape. By describing this crime science-in-the-making, from state laboratories and international policy transfers, from research studies and instrumentation, we reveal all the entities (researchers, government, theories, instruments, statistical classes, risk models, offenders, victims, technical standards, etc.) to which situational crime prevention has become tied, and untied. Thus, we demonstrate that concrete links weaved between researchers and their different allies go far beyond personal relationships, touching the very core of the technology. As such, situational crime prevention is constituted as a collective, political entity

Повний текст джерелаIn classical control theory, the control law is generally built, based on the theoretical model of the system. That means that the mathematical equations representing the system dynamics are used to stabilize the closed loop. But in practice, the actual system differs from the theory, for example, the nonlinearity, the varied parameters and the unknown disturbances of the system. The proposed approach in this work is based on the knowledge of the plant system by using not only the analytical model but also the experimental data. The input values stabilizing the system on open loop, that minimize a cost function, for example, the distance between the desired output and the predicted output, or maximize a reward function are calculated by an optimal algorithm. The key idea of this approach is to use a numerical behavior model of the system as a prediction function on the joint state and input spaces or input-output spaces to find the controller’s output. To do this, a new non-linear control concept is proposed, based on an existing controller that uses a prediction map built on the state-space. The prediction model is initialized by using the best knowledge a priori of the system. It is then improved by using a learning algorithm based on the sensors’ data. Two types of prediction map are employed: the first one is based on the state-space model; the second one is represented by an input-output model. The output of the controller, that minimizes the error between the predicted output from the prediction model and the desired output, will be found using optimal algorithm. The application of the proposed controller has been made on various systems. Some real experiments for quadricopter, some actual tests for the electrical vehicle Zoé show its ability and efficiency to complex and fast systems. Other the results in simulation are tested in order to investigate and study the performance of the proposed controller. This approach is also used to estimate the rotor speed of the induction machine by considering the rotor speed as the input of the system

Повний текст джерелаThe context of this thesis is an analysis of the social conditions of production and practices of the political ideology of economic development in northeast Brazil. The political ideology of development is characterized by its considered obviousness which must be adhered to no questions asked. It thus carries out a social function via the proposition of unquestionable truths. The theoretical field of the sociology of economic knowledge provides the framework for this study of the social history of the political ideology of development using the example of the SUDENE. The social effects of economic knowledge and know-how which cannot be reduced to desinterested theoretical constructions but rather constitutes social forces at work in the social set-up, are studied. The Church has played a determining role in applying the economic politics of the northeast development. In this region of Brazil the State can be said to be absent and the northeast Church to have substituted itself for the State. The trajectory of Father Lebret is a good illustration of the success of this vulgarization of the polital ideology of development at work. The political ideology of development appears as a variant of enlightened conservatism while aiming at the pacification of social relations as in the case with hte social discourse of Father Lebret and also Dom Helder as inspired by the Church. .

Повний текст джерелаCameroon is a country of central africa. Independent since 1960, cameroon faces the social and economic problems of a modern state. Its traditional social structures conserve an economy of subsistence. Business undertaking is unknown. However, the survival of nations depends upon the economical performance of enterprises undertaking. The state of cameroon has contributed to the making up of great para-public societies which need foreign investments. After two decades, this experience is a bright failure. This development model has not permitted the economic take off expected. The cameroonian business undertaking missed the area of freedom authorising the competition. The clan and the tribe have suffocated the business undertaking. The public administration and over obliging management have prevented the initiative. Cameroon orientates its development on little and middle enterprises. This option asks for new ways of promoting and training the economy, the science and the culture. From now on, the national promoters should master the principles of organization and management. One must allot the aims of competitivity and performance to the little and middle enterprises. One should integrate the business undertaking as partner into the community environment in order to favour in this way the self development of cameroon

As regards to congo, where that presomption can be confirmed, the juridical and technical rules, which imply that conception of the instrument, its gestion, as well as the control of that gestion deeply stamped with the french law, are completly compatible with the new policy launched soon after the independante of that country, (of congo), that is to say the research for an accelerated progress? it is really possible, to expect the development with the budget and financial technics, acquired during the colonisation, all of that in a country where economic and financial problems are different from those of congo? or, in the opposite, doesn't that new policy imply an effort to adapt aforsaid technics to the necessities of the economic and social development? the congolese rules and technics of conception, budget gestion and that gestion control, as well as the use done with that gestion, despite their effort to adapt to the economic and also politic data of the country, don't really permit to confer on the congolese financial system, the role which must be its own, that is to say the promotion for the economic and social development

Повний текст джерелаIn this thesis, I study a cryptographic primitive called quantum key distribution which allows two remote parties to share a secret key, in the presence of an eavesdropper, whose power is only limited by the laws of quantum physics. I focus my study on the implementation and the practical security of continuousvariable protocols. For the first time, I have proposed and studied a detector-based side channel attack on a continuous-variable system : saturation attack. This attack opens a new security loophole that we have characterized experimentally in our laboratory, on a real continuous-variable system. Finally, we have demonstrated experimentally for the first time the feasibility of a continuous-variable system deployment in a Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing network, where quantum signals coexist with intense classical signals in a same fiber

Повний текст джерелаThis doctoral thesis is set within the initial training of teachers of primary and secondary education in the South of France in the 2000s. It aims at studying the contribution in the professional development of new teachers of the reflection on practice which is implemented on the trainees’ return from placement. A clarification of the concept of traces of practice and a typology of these traces is elaborated. The theoretical framework for reflection is a cross-reference to the models of Huberman‘s (1986) professional development, of Bucheton’s (2009) professional gestures and of Le Boterf ‘s (1994) skills. This research is based on observations and verbatims from sessions of a tutorial group on practices and cross training which were set up in the Académie of Montpellier and it resorts to interviews of student teachers and of newly qualified teachers. We show that these strategies for reflection on practice varied and often fitted to the expectations of the teacher trainees use or / and bring to the foreground traces of practices discussed in the training group. An individual and collective work done by the peers, prior to the presentation of the situation by the actor, on traces of practice, associated with a reflective work, increases the collective and individual resources of the repertoire of teaching actions. These collective strategies during "on site" sessions help and guide the pursuit of personal work carried out “online ", which results in the development of a community of practice thanks to the implementation of an integrated placement

Повний текст джерелаThe research project presented in this document enriches our understanding of these questions by unbundling the micro-level activities and socio-material dynamics underpinning the use of control tools in CSR implementation. Its key originality comes from a long-term ethnographic study in a French gambling company, which provided an in-depth empirical knowledge about what happened in this organization as a CSR policy was executed. Through spending one year with the CSR team, interviews with managers organization-wide, participant observations and access to documents, I was able to grasp a detailed insight into the multiple facets of organizing dynamics surrounding CSR, such as the everyday activities of CSR managers, the development and use of CSR control tools by various actors, CSR's impacts on managers' practices and at the organizational level, and collective dynamics spawned by this new organizational practice. This dissertation also brings novelty to the management control for sustainability research area by adopting a practice-based perspective. Although its potential for understanding control processes has been put forth in previous research (Ahrens and Chapman, 2007; Nama and Lowe, 2014), this lens remains relatively unexplored in the study of management control for CSR1 (Bebbington and Fraser, 2014). Yet, this approach can shed new light on this question because it foregrounds the performative role of artefacts. Its inquiry can highlight how tools are enacted to construct and maintain practices, and how this affects organizing processes. Therefore, it appears fruitful for the study of CSR implementation dynamics because it accounts for the relationality, complexity and ambiguity of organizational phenomena (Feldman and Orlikowski, 2011). The purpose of this introduction is to present and problematize the various literatures articulated in the project (namely, CSR, management control and practice-based perspectives). It clarifies the research question and the angles through which this research has tackled it. It exposes the structure of this document and introduces its constitutive chapters

Повний текст джерелаAdvanced practice nursing appears to be a promising strategic response to the health challenges of tomorrow, particularly in the context of the epidemiological transition and the management of chronic diseases. These master's level nurses have already demonstrated in literature their ability to carry out efficient care management, positively impacting individuals' health. The general objective of our thesis was to explore the role and challenges of developing advanced nurse practice in France and Gabon within the context of chronic disease management. The specific objectives were to 1) Describe the role and knowledge of nurses concerning the management of chronic diseases in Africa. 2) Analyze the specific needs of healthcare professionals prior to the implementation of advanced nurse practice in Gabon. 3) Define a training program for nurses in advanced practice tailored to Gabon in collaboration with the University of Limoges. 4) Evaluate an integrated training program for nurses in advanced practice regarding chronic diseases in Gabon and France. 5) Conduct a survey on the development of advanced nurse practice in France: implementation, obstacles, and resources, use of advanced practice nurses skills. Our work highlighted the significant potential of advanced practice nursing to improve access to care, the quality of patient care for those with chronic diseases, and the efficiency of health systems. In particular, the preliminary study in Gabon and the one regarding the implementation of advanced practice nurses in France revealed an increasing acceptance of advanced nurse practice by health professionals, despite challenges such as role ambiguity and institutional resistance. These obstacles underscore the need for a clear legislative and regulatory framework, as well as sustained training and professional development for advanced practice nurses

Повний текст джерелаSince 2001, Latin American Countries have actively participated in investment arbitrations administered by the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). Because of that the way to arbitrate in this Centre base itself on a great number of Latin American affairs which helped to delimit the procedures and endorse some practices linked to the very founding principles of arbitration. The procedure of arbitration has been improved by Latin American affairs, by example with the help of the Amicus Curiae, which is the participation of a third party to the arbitral process. This innovation shows how much these questions of public interest are important for the populations concerned. The multiple juridical standards inserted in the investment agreements have often been brought forward by the investors in order to see the responsibility of some countries engaged in an international way. Arbitrators have been able to emphasize on the inaccuracy of some of these standards, such as the the fair and equitable treatment.Different ways to measure the elements of an affair have been brought to light by the tribunals. Two of them are present in the case of Latin American affairs: the compliance with the juridical framework stability and the protection of the investor's legitimate expectations.Latin American countries did take action differently in front of the arbitrations brought to the ICSID which was criticized for its lack of legitimacy and for its decisions in a great number of cases against these countries. Some countries renounced the international treaties giving the ICSID its arbitration rights and created a new arbitration center on the continent capable of giving a ruling in the matter of investment affairs. In spite of this the arbitral decisions and the arbitral awards in the Latin American context should be able to be inspirations for the future of arbitration

Повний текст джерелаHealth systems in France and in the world are in tension. The determinants of those pressures are linked to demography, economy and care organization Chronic non-infectious diseases are on the rising. Allergic disease alone respect 25% of individuals in France (15 million people). In Europe, 100 million people suffer from allergic rhinitis and 70 million suffer from asthma. By 2020, it is 40% of the world population will be suffering from an allergic disease. The declaration of RIO, founding text of sustainable development, puts health as a major concern. It is necessary to think of new management models, new training and distribution of different skills from new business perimeters for health caregivers. The primary objective of this research is to identify: innovative models of health in a systematic multidisciplinary vision and ethics of care. .the Secondary objective is to define the concept of innovative practices in health in the French health system, clarify the regulatory framework for innovative practices, identify training needs, qualification of new businesses and new tools and finally review the adequacy of generational training for health science students. The method used is a review of the literature on sustainable development, environmental medicine, training of health professionals. The confrontation with the regulatory framework of practice nurse at the nursing of advanced nursing practices is made. The study design is the allergy disease. An online survey assessed the level of skills, training and policy of nurses in Europe. This study was conducted in collaboration with the European department of Haute Ecole de Namur, the University of Nottingham, and High School of Health of Freiburg, University of Porto, and School of Advanced Studies in Public Health in Rennes. This survey identifies five high levels of expertise that are 5 skills training according to Dublin descriptors for advanced practice nurses. A master level training program for APRN in allergy practice is developed Finally four steps of innovation were identified: management, ownership, widespread practice and absorption by the system. The results highlight that innovation is a deliberate process requiring practice by introducing new pedagogical, organizational and e-Health .Changing nurse’s diagnosis decision and support tools are highlighted. The nursing diagnosis on individual adaptation to environment is also considered. Eventually, two main recommendations are presented, firstly to develop training program according to the new French law in France, and secondly to considered the social determinants of the students in health science to make those training

Повний текст джерелаThe present thesis bears on the development of musical skills. It attempts to conceptualize the way an upcoming instrumentalist learns the skills developed by previous generations of musicians. Our research is based on longitudinal fieldwork and recordings of lessons of musical instruments (guitar, piano and violin). We start with the intuition that musical phenomena are best characterized as an animated flux, a motion carried on and across the body and the subjective field. Musical listening thereby requires active participation on the part of the subject - and forms a skill. There is an intimate connection between perception and skill due to structural community of their modes of constitution and their expressive quality. Hence, the motion that incarnates musical phenomena is not only kinetic, but kinesthetic. As she progresses through the arcana of instrumentalist craftsmanship, the apprentice develops the musical topography of her instrument. She does so via an exploratory process by which she trains her ears, educates her attention, and learns gestures that are cut out to the morphology of her body and the characteristics of the instrument. Skill transmission (musical or otherwise) usually requires tuition, a process by which instructor and apprentice engage in a form of didactic companionship. Rather than attempting to hand over ready-made schemes, the process of tuition brings apprentices to form their own gestures. These gestures aim to be harmoniously effective, compliant with tradition, yet their motivation is not merely practical, but also aesthetic, stylistic and mythical

Повний текст джерелаIt has to be admitted that the function of school principals has changed enormously over the years, in terms of both its attributions and the conditions under which it is exercised. Over time, the task of educational leadership has become more complex and highly diversified. In reviewing the roles and responsibilities assigned to the school principals, particularly over the last few decades, it is interesting to note that a new positioning of their function has been made necessary. Thus, these major changes in the tasks of school principals have led to the need to question the importance given to the acquisition and development of professional competencies in both initial and continuing education, an expectation that goes hand in hand with the effective and efficient work that school principals must do to ensure students' academic success. De facto, this thesis deals with the competencies of Quebec school principals and is modulated according to three phases that led to the writing of as many articles. First, the availability of the Quebec competency standard (MELS, 2008), which is particularly used as a reference by the universities that offer the initial training program in school management, was the initiating element of this thesis. We therefore began our process by asking ourselves whether Quebec's competency standard, which is more than ten years old, is still relevant in terms of the expectations associated with the management of educational institutions, in terms of knowledge, skills and attitudes favorable to the function. To this end, a literature review was conducted by comparing Quebec's competency standard with other more recent competency standards. The second phase led us to identify, through the discourse of the school principals, the challenges that arise in their daily lives and the competencies required to assume their role. More specifically, we asked ourselves what competencies are an integral part of the practices of school principals who are requisitioned for their duties, and whether these competencies are included in the competency standard (MELS, 2008). To do so, we conducted interviews (N = 13) with school principals to identify the competencies required in school management in relation to the challenges they face on a daily basis. Finally, we concluded our study of the competencies of school principals by asking whether the professional development of principals, an approach encouraged in the competency standard (MELS, 2008) can be enhanced by their participation in a virtual community of practice (CoP), leading to a reflection on their management practices (MELS, 2008). Thus, following the implementation process associated with a CoP, we used interviews (N = 10) to gather the perceptions of school principals. Subsequently, this process enabled us to analyze CoP as a mode of professional development for principals, with particular emphasis on the four themes associated with CoP learning according to Wenger (2005) : meaning, practice, community and identity. In addition, levers related to the introduction of a virtual CoP on the professional development of school principals were identified in the interviews conducted. The results suggest that: 1. The competencies in the competency standard (MELS, 2008) are still current, although new expectations are also noted as necessary to ensure that current educational needs are met; 2. Well-defined competencies are essential for assuming the role associated with school management and meeting the challenges that arise in the day-to-day work of school principals. Some competencies are found in the competency standard (MELS, 2008), while others are absent, but are necessary depending on the school principals; 3. CoP can, under certain conditions, be a preferred informal training method for further developing the competencies of school principals, as recommended in the competency standard (MELS, 2008). Benefits have been recognized during the experience. This research is part of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council [SSHRC] funded research project « Community of Professional Learning/Practical Learning for School Improvement » led by Yamina Bouchamma and Marc Basque. More specifically, it is based on data from interviews with school principals and vice-principals from different regions of Quebec who participated in this research project.

Повний текст джерелаWe explored factors influencing the intention of medical specialists to adopt the clinical behaviors targeted by continuing professional development (CPD) programs. We used a cross-sectional nested study design (multiple physicians nested under one of five CPD programs) with a single post-intervention measure. The objectives of the CPD programs were to maintain and improve skills in various fields related to medical practice. Among the 259 medical specialists who participated, 223 (86%) were women and mean age was 50 years ± 12. After completing one of five online CPD programs, the specialists filled out the validated DPC-Reaction questionnaire to measure their intention and its psychosocial variables that can explain this intention (social influence, beliefs about capability, moral norms and beliefs about consequences). The choice of independent variables and analysis was guided by an integrated conceptual framework by Godin and al. (2008). We performed simple descriptive analyses, a one-way analysis of variance and multivariate analyses with random effects. We also computed an intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC). The mean intention score was 6.5 ± 1.16 (ranging from 5.37 ± 1.17 to 6.60 ± 0.88). This mean score was statistically different across the five CPD programs (p< 0.0001). The ICC indicated that 16.8% of the total variation in the outcome of interest, the behavioral intention of physicians, can be explained by the CPD trainings level. At the training level, the presence of a psychomotor level in Bloom's taxonomy was significantly correlated with intention. At the participant level, factors associated with intention were social influences, beliefs about capabilities, moral norms and beliefs about consequences. The final participant-level model retains the following factors: beliefs about abilities, moral norms, and beliefs about consequences. These findings will inform CPD developers wishing to increase the impact of CPD programs on medical specialists’ intention to adopt targeted clinical behaviors.

Повний текст джерелаOur thesis raises the problem of "the projects" used as tools of development. Taking into account the analysis of two experiences of rural development set up in togo, we are wondering about the ability of the projects to provide solutions for the nee ds of the rural populations. Our reflexions and criticisms, about what we call commonly "the approach by a project", can be summed up in four fondamental ideas: 1- the projects are a place of conflict where two essentially antinomic logics are coexisting : on one hand the scientistic logic of "the developers", and on the other hand the traditionalist logic of rural populations. 2-the evident success of the projects brides failures. 3- the development by projects is a prescriptive and authoritarian practice which aims at integrating the farmers into a system in which they hold nothing and they have no power. 4- the inflexible formula of aid by project must be adjusted to the benefit of support processes for local initiatives. Our conclusion is inspired by a belief according to which, in matter of development, it is presumptions to propose rigid alternatives to a system. In that way, we propose and describe the progressive elimination of obstacles of the projects system. Essentiall lly, we propose that the first priority is to satisfy the needs defined by the farmers. But the task of the farmers is not only to execute a program of development which has been worked out abroad ; on the contrary they must be helped in order to set a development they themselves wanted

How did these mogul skiers develop an expertise which classified them among the best, if not the best, in the world? Expert people conduct deliberate practice aimed at improving performance-critical skills and these deliberate practices are supervised by an expert teacher (Ericsson, Krampe and Tesch-Römer, 1993. These practices take place outside of the sport institution (sports team’s training program) (Ericsson et al., 1993). The development of talent (and expertise) in sport would result from an accumulation of deliberate practices and deliberate play conducted over 10 years or 10,000 hours (Memmert, Baker and Bertsch, 2010). Deliberate play is an early commitment to intrinsically motivating physical activity that provides immediate gratification and enjoyment (Côté and Hay, 2002). By taking place outside the sports institution, these practices and plays are invisible to the public, suggesting that other forms of activity exist. Therefore, this thesis investigates all learning situations conducted outside of the mogul teams by experienced and promising Canadian male and female skiers. This applied thesis study in depth the contribution of these learning situations to the development of expertise and talent through the concept of Private Activity, a conceptual tool that includes all possible learning situations. Our qualitative, retrospective and ethnographic methodology reflects the point of view and the experience of these skiers coming from the specific sports culture (Darbon, 2002) of mogul skiing in Quebec and Canada. The first part of the thesis highlights a variety of categories of private activities that appear, disappear or is maintain in the course of the skier’s sport development. These private activities not only correspond to practices and plays identified in the literature on the development of expertise and talent (Côté, Erickson and Abernethy, 2013, Ericsson et al., 1993), but also to plays contributing to cognitive and motor development (Piaget, 1945). Skiers also evoke private activities we identified as "Others". The second part of the thesis shows that the choice and the implementation of private activities depend on the availability of environmental (artefacts) and social resources, but also on the spatial-temporal context. The implementation and conduct of private activities are subordinated to the proximal processes (Bronfenbrenner, 1977), that is to say the entourage’s scaffolding (Bruner, 1983a) (coaches, parents, siblings and teammates) and to the self-regulation (Zimmerman, 2000) means. The third part of the thesis demonstrates that the choice of the private activity to be carried out arises from a desire (Ross, 1995), directed towards a end-in-view (Dewey, 1938), and a pragmatic valorization. In addition to these findings, the choice, implementation and conduct of private activities are oriented by a sensibility to (Récopé, Rix-Lièvre, Kellin and Boyer, 2014) and an ideal performance model specific to each skier. The fourth part describes the benefits derived from the private activities. These benefits allow the skier to acquired critical skills (technical, physical, strategic, mental, aesthetic, proprioceptive, and overall performance skills) allowing him to achieve expert and talented performance in mogul skiing competition. A modeling of the concept of Private Activity to study the development of expertise in sport is proposed at the end of the four parts of the thesis. To conclude, the non identical trajectory [...]

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis focuses on the establishment and development process of communities of practice in the field of innovation. The field study has been conducted at the SEB Group, a French multinational company specializing in electrical appliances. The empirical study, developed from a longitudinal perspective, is based on 63 semi-structured interviews, observations and internal documents. The analysis indicates the existence of four phases that characterize the establishment and development of a community of practice. It also shows the compatibility of two types of communities identified in the literature: intentionally created and emerging communities. The obtained findings reveal that the dynamics of development varies according to the type of community. Furthermore, they highlight that active and effective coordination is a key factor influencing the dynamics of intentionally created communities of practice. The answers obtained in the context of our research can contribute to a better management of communities of practice and serve as a guide for other organizations that wish to deploy these social structures in the field of innovation

Through the study of the corpus carried out near the students of advanced level, we found that the majority of them have difficulties pronounced with the oral examination : they do not speak with ease, they have problems on all the levels linguistic (lexical, grammatical, semantic, morphological. . . ), they miss it much vocabulary. Vis-à-vis this situation, we felt the need to modernize teaching/training of French in Saudi Arabia. We were brought to reflect on the choice of new materials to especially teach French at the advanced level. We were obliged thus to innovate, introduce documents likely to motivate the students and to hold their attention. To achieve this goal, we did not find better than to work with them on authentic documents under all their forms : - written : article of newspaper, small advertisements, note of drugs, receipt of kitchen. . . - sound : press review, match of football, titles of a newspaper of radio, song. . . - visual : fixed images, photo novel, comic strip. . . - audio-visual : television news, film, play, match of football. . . - ludic : company, word, card decks. . . Thanks to their innovation, their variety and their diverting aspect, we are certain that these documents are able to motivate our students. Indeed, as we envisaged, the authentic documents brought their fruits. The students favourably accommodated them. Thanks to this new approach and to the new environment thus created, the students finally found the supports which encourage them to speak and consequently help them to improve their level with the oral examination. Thus they really wanted to be expressed and take part in the meetings devoted to the exploitation of the documents. Quite simply, they needed to be justified by a new way of approaching teaching. When something again, of different, interesting is proposed to the students, one can expect a positive reaction of their share

The study showed that the story game developed language abilities in the narrative creation thanks to the didactic interactions that it entailed and the use of card games it was based on. This development happened if the subjects practised the story game in co-resolving interaction. The experimentation conducted with brain damaged pupils in specialized environment in France and Quebec focused on the transfer of language learnings. As regards practices, we analysed how interindividual functionings are at the origin of new intraindividual functionings in the production of oral stories. This study brought the importance of language learnings in light, for the creative expression of handicapped pupils

Повний текст джерелаIn response to challenges for professional development in daily practice and this, among others in the health sector, an alternative approach has been implemented in workplaces in the past few years. These are communities of practice. Research has concluded that they have positive effects in the professional development of the practitioners as well as for organizational development. Although the procedural aspects and the conditions for implementing this device have been documented, the process experienced by the participants in terms of professional development remains less well known. This project aims to clarify the learning process experienced by people participating in a community of practice in order to understand, from a scientific point of view, how to modify or improve their professional practice and therefore to develop professionally. Beforehand, a review of the literature to clarify the concept of professional development is required to position the present works in a constructivist or socioconstructivist perspective. It emerges that, both in the scientific and practical implications to better understand and supporting this process contributes both to the construction of knowledge and to professional identity, the challenge remains to combine its different dimensions: personal, professional and sociocultural. In the empirical approach, it's mainly from the data of the interview carried out with participants from communities of practice that a qualitative case analysis was realized with a hermeneutic phenomenological approach. The results indicate that various types of learning process, as theoretically suggested by Jarvis (2010), whether they are non-reflexive, reflexive or reflected or even absent in the immediate future, can be experienced within a community of practice. By deepening this learning phenomenon, we see that it is a combination of actions, thoughts and feelings that will lead to one or other of these learning processes. Our study leads us to believe that, although the outcome will always depend on the interaction of the person in their lived world from their biography, it's possible to influence the learning process. Indeed, the analysis of the potential learning experiences demonstrates the interaction of conditions related to the context, to the educational aspects and to herself in this process. Furthermore, these turn out to be more effective, in a professional development perspective, when they integrate collaborative and learning activities prompting a reflexive practice as well as a development of new conceptual understandings, more specifically, related to the professional practice and work's context. Finally, this research shows us the potential of a community of practice as a collaborative device for professional development, which can contribute to the construction of the identity and learning of the person, and provides some leads to promote it. Thus, by taking into account the dynamics of the dimensions of professional development in the various activities proposed in the workplace and repeated over time, it's possible to act on the learning process of people which evolves with the person and the world in an evolutionary way.

Повний текст джерелаEvidence-Based Medicine has been formalized as Clinical Practice Guidelines, which define workflows and recommendations to be followed for a given clinical domain. These documents were formalized aiming to standardize healthcare and seeking the best patient outcomes. Nevertheless, clinicians do not adhere as expected to these guidelines due to several clinical and implementation limitations. On one hand, clinicians do not feel familiar, agree with and or are unaware of guidelines, hence doubting their self-efficacy and outcome expectancy compared to previous or more common practices. On the other hand, maintaining these guidelines updated with the most recent evidence requires continuous versioning of these paper-based documents. Clinical Decision Support Systems are proposed to help during the clinical decision-making process with the computerized implementation of the guidelines to promote their easy consultation and increased compliance. Even if these systems help improving guideline compliance, there are still some barriers inherited from paper-based guidelines that are not solved, such as managing complex cases not defined within the guidelines or the lack of representation of other external factors that may influence the provided treatments, biasing from guidelines’ recommendations (i.e. patient preferences). Retrieving observational data and patients’ quality of life outcomes related to the provided healthcare during routine clinical practice could help to identify and overcome these limitations and would generate Real World Data representing the real population and going beyond the limitations of the knowledge reported in the Randomized Clinical Trials. This thesis proposes an advanced Clinical Decision Support System for coping with the purely guideline-based support limitations and going beyond the formalized knowledge by analyzing the clinical data, outcomes, and performance of all the decisions made over time. To achieve these objectives, an approach for modeling the clinical knowledge and performance in a semantically validated and computerized way has been presented, leaning on an ontology and the formalization of the Decisional Event concept. Moreover, a domain-independent framework has been implemented for easing the process of computerizing, updating and implementing Clinical Practice Guidelines within a Clinical Decision Support System in order to provide clinical support for any queried patient. For addressing the reported guideline limitations, a methodology for augmenting the clinical knowledge using experience has been presented along with some clinical performance and quality evaluation over time, based on different studied clinical outcomes, such as the usability and the strength of the rules for evaluating the clinical reliability behind the formalized clinical knowledge. Finally, the accumulated Real World Data was explored to support future cases, promoting the study of new clinical hypotheses and helping in the detection of trends and patterns over the data using visual analytics tools. The presented modules had been developed and implemented in their majority within the European Horizon 2020 project DESIREE, in which the use case was focused on supporting Breast Units during the decision-making process for Primary Breast Cancer patients management, performing a technical and clinical validation over the presented architecture, whose results are presented in this thesis. Nevertheless, some of the modules have been also used in other medical domains such as Gestational Diabetes guidelines development, highlighting the interoperability and flexibility of the presented work

Повний текст джерелаContext Interprofessional collaboration (IPC) is now established as a necessary way to provide concerted, coordinated, and consistent services to individuals, families, and communities. Interprofessional education (IPE) is a teaching approach that allows students from two or more professions to learn by interacting with each other in order to improve collaboration and optimize care and services. However, implementing IPE initiatives comes up against numerous difficulties. Aside from the challenge of logistics, various psychosocial issues can arise, including hierarchical relationships between groups of students, communication barriers, and confrontation of professional identities or philosophies of care. One of the most promising ways to address these issues is the use of reflective practice. Reflective practice is considered to be a key factor in the training of future health and social services professionals. Despite a growing recognition of its importance, the literature on the subject is still scarce and the initiatives implemented are often hardly operationalized, theoretically unfounded, or poorly documented. Aims The general objective of the thesis is therefore to develop a theoretically grounded reflective practice approach that is tailored to the needs of IPE in order to support facilitators in their role and to promote interprofessional collaboration and discussion among participants. This overarching purpose translates into five specific objectives: 1) Examining the theoretical and practical pertinence of reflective practice in the IPE context; 2) Identifying the principles and characteristics that should underlie the development of a reflective practice approach in order to ensure that it is theoretically sound and suited to IPE; 3) Developing an IPE-specific reflective practice approach based on the principles and characteristics identified; 4) Implementing the reflective practice approach developed with facilitators and participants in a context of IPE; and 5) Evaluating the impact of the approach implemented on facilitators and participants. Methods The project is based on collaborative action research using a pedagogical design-based research methodology through prototyping derived from the ADDIE approach (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), which includes cycles of analysis, design, development, and finally implementation and evaluation. The analysis was carried out using three methods: realistic review of the literature on reflective practice in IPC and IPE, focus group discussion with facilitators involved in IPE, and analysis of interprofessional discussions among students in the context of an IPE course. The prototype was fine-tuned following pre-testing. The approach developed was implemented in an IPE course at Laval University in Québec City, Canada. Three different methods were used to evaluate the impact of the approach: pre-post questionnaire on self-efficacy, focus group discussion among facilitators, and analysis of interprofessional discussions among students. Results The project led to the development of a reflective practice approach that is suited to IPE and that integrates explicit teaching of reasoning (deductive and inductive) and use of a number of thinking skills targeted for their relevance to the context. Following the implementation of the approach, facilitators developed greater ease and confidence in their role and learned to diversify their ways of responding to student needs. Students, for their part, began to explore their colleagues' perspectives and ask questions, in contrast to how they proceeded before the implementation of the approach, i.e. arriving at a consensus without examining and evaluating the various views, or exploring the rationale behind the proposals on hand. Students also learned to make explicit the reasoning and assumptions on which they based their suggestions and to build, together, collaborative clinical reasoning that is conducive to a more consistent and concerted response to the needs of the individual. Conclusion Explicit teaching and the use of reasoning and thinking skills in IPE foster the development of collaborative reflective practice in interprofessional discussion. The use of thinking skills enables the members of a team to challenge themselves and move toward a common goal by bridging differing perspectives. The rigour of the resulting dialogue contributes to centering the discussion of clinical cases on the needs of the individual and his or her friends and family

Повний текст джерелаtopics is a global phenomenon (Bagweneza et al., 2019; Ross et al., 2019; Alotaibi, Al-Ganmi, Gholizadeh, & Perry, 2016). Nurses have an essential role in supporting diabetic patients throughout the continuum of successful disease management. Over the past decade patient education has become an integral component of chronic disease management, including diabetes treatment. Education is critical to supporting nurses’ diabetes knowledge and skills (American diabetes association, 2020; Canadian diabetes association, 2018; Yacoub et al., 2014). Additionally, educating frontline nurses in the education of inpatients concerning their diabetes management is one of the avenues of exploration in increasing capacity for its delivery (Nassar, Montero, & Magee, 2019). This background is the basis for the development, implementation and evaluation of nurse education to improve the teaching of essential skills for diabetic inpatients. A mixed methodology and Malcolm Knowles (1995) stages of development of training was used for this study. This allowed for the development of training following the assessment of training needs of nurses in a tertiary (or community) Lebanese hospital targeted specifically to essential skills education for hospitalized diabetics. This involved the use of nursing focus groups, a knowledge test about diabetes management, and finally an evaluation on the practice of essential skills education for diabetic inpatients. Betty Neuman’s model (Neuman & Fawcett, 2002) provided a framework for understanding the central phenomenon of the pilot: improving the practice of inpatient diabetes education by the involvement of nurses in diabetes education and the improvement of both their knowledge and skills in diabetes care. The needs assessment formed the basis for learning objectives, refinement of content and preferred learning strategies. The knowledge assessment also provided a baseline for the evaluation of training efficacy by comparing pre/post performance data. Additionally, to ensure sustainability, the feasibility and acceptability of training as an educational intervention was evaluated alongside the evaluation of this novel, pilot study training. The pilot study was comprised of 33 nurses from medical and surgical care units. A convenient sampling method bolstered continued participation for the study’s duration. The competency-based approach was used to develop teaching and learning for the pilot training. Consistent pedagogical scenarios chosen were consistent to promote learning that would enable nurse learners to perform the tasks or activities assigned to them in teaching essential skills to diabetic inpatients. Results confirmed the feasibility and acceptability of the educational intervention as well as nurses’ satisfaction with the training. Additionally, statistically significant differences were observed in pre/post training regarding nurses’ comfort, familiarity and knowledge of diabetes management as well as their skills in providing essential education to hospitalized diabetic patients. In conclusion, this study shows that nurse education improve nurses’ ability to effectively educate patients.

Повний текст джерелаThis study concerns the occupational environment of nurses, their vocational training and the place which occupy the exchanges on the social networks within the framework of professional discussions. This research has a double theoretical framework: the anthropological theory of the didactic (TAD) and more particularly the notion of praxeology and the communities of practice. We examine the way the professional praxeologies as well as professional questions express themselves on the social networks. It are these two research topics which will study the way digital communication can support the development of the professional praxeologies of the nursing students and from in service professionals. Our study turns to the necessity of a teaching model compatible with the paradigm of questioning the world to support preservice training thanks to digital communication in order to improve the dialectic between profession and training, necessary for any vocational training

For example, the Linux kernel is used in developing several platforms and software like Windows and iOS. The success of open source software stems from the fact that, unlike proprietary software, open source software are developed in projects that rely on communities. Projects and their communities are included in broader environments called open source software ecosystems (OSSECOs). However, these OSSECOs face many difficulties that can affect their health or their proper functioning. The SECOHealth project was initiated with the aim of understanding the health of software ecosystems in order to propose catalogs of guidelines and recommendation tools for measuring and controlling this health. The research described in this document is part of the SECOHealth project. This research aims to better understand the health of open software ecosystems in order to be able to measure and control it. To do this, we will answer the following three research questions: 1. What are the main problems facing OSSECOs? 2. What are the main causes of these problems? 3. What are the main impacts of these problems? To answer these questions, we conducted one-on-one interviews with ten experts in OSSECOs. Analysis of the data collected allowed us to construct the causal analysis diagrams and the causal chains of the main problems observed. The results show that the main health problems, their causes and their impacts fall within the technical domain as well as non-technical domains such as the management.

This study presents the Plan phase that identifies and analyses clinical practicesin endodontics in a university dental hospital service. Methods: The plan phase was divided into six steps. Step 1 identified the quality and the outcome ofEndodontic Treatment (RCT) as the targeted procedure for PDCA referring to academic guidelines. InStep 2, an evidence based approach indicated the use of the proportions of RCTs with adequate qualityand the proportions of RCTs that were effective in the PDCA approach. Step 3 evaluated RCTs duringthree consecutive years. Step 4 compared the results from Step 3 with data from the literature. Step 5identified the factors acting on the quality and the outcome of RCTs. Step 6 proposed actions supposedto improve RCTs. Steps 1 to 5 were conducted by three PDCA managers, and the staff of teachers inendodontics was enrolled for consensual decisions in Step 6.Results: Step 3 reported that the proportion of RCTs with adequate quality reached 57.1% and thisproportion was significantly decreased when specific indicators for treatment difficulties were present. The proportion of successful RCTs after one year was 65.6% and its variation was influenced by thepreoperative periapical status, but not by the quality of RCTs. The consensual meeting in Step 6proposed five procedures to be implemented for the further Do phase of PDCA cycle. Conclusion: This study encourages systematic evaluation of RCTs in private and hospital practices
