Анотація:
Associating features with weights is a common approach in clustering algorithms and determining the weight values is crucial in generating valid partitions. In this paper, we introduce a novel method in the framework of granular computing that incorporates fuzzy sets, rough sets and shadowed sets, and calculates feature weights automatically. Experiments on synthetic and real data patterns show that our algorithms always converge and are more effective in handling overlapping among clusters and more robust in the presence of noisy data and outliers.

It is shown that determining the type set of the variety generated by a finite algebra is a P-Space-hard problem. This is done by interpreting into it the P-Space-complete problem of determining if a given function is a composition of a set of unary functions on a set. Specifically, the given function is a composition of the others just when the type 3 is not in the type set of the variety generated by the algebra that is constructed. A lemma that restricts the types that are possible in the variety generated by a given algebra is also given.

Анотація:
In this paper, a manner to determine the level sets of a fuzzy surface using the benefits of Gröbner basis is presented. Fuzzy surfaces are constructed from incomplete datasets or from data that contain uncertainty which has not statistical nature. The authors firstly define the concept of level sets for the fuzzy surfaces. Then, employing Gröbner bases benefits a criterion is proposed for when the level sets of the fuzzy surface are nonempty sets. Moreover, a new algorithm is designed to determine the level sets. The big advantage of the proposed method lies in the fact that it attains all members of the level sets of the fuzzy surface at a time. Finally, some applied numerical examples are illustrated to demonstrate the proficiency of the given approach.

This research aims to describe some of the mistakes made by students in solving set theory problems in the set and logic course. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were students of Tadris Mathematics STAI Muhammadiyah Probolinggo Semester I for the academic year 2021/2022. Data collection techniques used in this study were exams and interviews. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the subject made 9 types of errors, namely errors in determining the value of a quadratic equation, registering members of a set, writing mathematical notation, writing down sets, writing down members of Cartesian product, determining the intersection of two sets, determining the Cartesian product of two sets, determining the difference of the two sets, and determining the value of a quadratic inequality.

ABSTRACTChemical-technology investigation was carried out for 95 belt sets from the burials of 8th−11thcenturies. In its course three groups of burials were separated on the basis of archaeology-statistical features; the Group 3 was identified as status one. All the groups contain belt sets made from the cooper-based alloys which include silver (6.98−92.87%) and amalgam. The major scheme of the belt sets (Groups 1, 2, 3) production is casting in moulds with print of used plaques; there are belt sets in Groups 1 and 2 which were made in different way (lost wax casting, casting in moulds with print of special matrix, forging). Chemical and technology parameters of the belt sets from the elite burials of the Group 3 are similar to the parameters of the belt sets discovered in the common burials of the Groups 1 and 2. There are a number of burials in the Group 1 the belt sets of which according to their chemical-technology characteristics could be attributing to the “award”.

Анотація:
This paper presents a step in automatic database design, re-engineering and schema modification, design weak points detection, and normalization. This step represents determining the candidate keys of the tables automatically via proposing and implementing an algorithm which depends on the functional dependency and attribute set closure. Also, some techniques of Apriori algorithm of association rule mining are used to generate keys and minimize the keys space. The implementation is done by using Oracle PL/SQL to utilize the facilities provided by ORACLE DBMS and to give the features of embedded system to the proposed one.

This paper describes work on methods that evaluate algebraic solutions to word problems in physics. Many current tutoring systems rely on substantial scaffolding and consequently require students to completely describe every variable used in the solution. A heuristic, based on constraint propagation, capable of inferring the description of variables (i.e., the possible dimensions and physics concepts) is shown to be highly reliable on three real world data sets, one covering a few problems with a small number of student answers and two others covering a large class of problems (~100) with a large number of student answers (~11,000). The heuristic uniquely determines the dimensions of all the variables in 91–92% of the equation sets. By asking the student for dimension information about one variable, an additional 3% of the sets can be determined. An ITS tutoring system can use this heuristic to reason about a student's answers even when the scaffolding and context are removed.

Decision-making on conditions that involve many alternatives, many criteria, and many judgments is a difficult thing to do. The difficulty is coupled with assessors who sometimes make decisions in hesitant, unclear, and inconsistent circumstances and each person can provide different judgments. One of the methods that can be used is Hesitant Fuzzy Linguistic Term Sets which is the development of Fuzzy Sets that can make decisions by using Hesitant Fuzzy Sets. Hesitant linguistic term has been introduced for capturing the human way of reasoning using linguistic expressions involving different levels of precision. The integration of Hesitant Fuzzy Linguistic Term Sets with Fuzzy Grid Partition will enhance the ability in the decision making process. Often, in situations of uncertainty in portfolio management, it is difficult to apply the numerical methods based on the linearity principle. When this happens it is possible to use nonnumeric techniques to assess the situations with a non linear attitude. One of the concepts that can be used in these situations is the concept of grouping. In the last thirty years, several studies have tried to give good solutions to the problems of homogeneous groupings. For example, we could mention the Pichat algorithm, the affinities algorithms and several studies developed by the authors of this work. In this paper, we use some topological axioms in order to develop an algorithm that is able to reduce the number of elements of the power sets of the related sets by connecting them to the sets that form the topologies. We will apply this algorithm in the grouping of titles listed in the Stock Exchange or in its dual perspective.
